DC x DP Fic idea: The Royal Consort

Wesley Weston runs a blog after getting over his desire to expose Danny's secret- primarily due to no one believing him- and no one pays attention to it since almost all of Casper high school has one too.

The difference between the hundreds of other blogs is that one of his pictures of Phantom is clear. A perfectly uncorrected image of the famous ghost, whereas nearly all other pictures are blurry due to ghosts disrupting cameras. Even Wes isn't sure how he managed to capture him so well.

Another difference between his blog and others is that one of his followers happens to be John Constantine, who followed the kid a long time ago due to the fanfiction of the Bats and found them hilarious.

John opens his phone app, expecting a new chapter to the Bruce Wayne/Superman fic, and spits out his tea upon seeing the High King of the Dead casually in the human world. Horrified that the King has not been appropriately welcomed- which could lead to a war that the humans would never win- he calls an emergency Justice League and Justice League Dark meeting.

It didn't help that they had allowed a county to pass the anti-ecto laws, which ruined any attempt to appease the Ghost King once the news broke to the public. The League still worried about a declaration of war even after they demolished the laws and the United Nations had the States apologize on humans' behalf.

They quickly discover High King Phantom has been visiting Earth for almost three years. Before his coronation, Phantom had not been outside the Infinite Realms very often though he has appeared throughout history. Cave drawings date back thousands of years before the first ancient Egyptians, but he's visits are few and short.

Life would naturally send him back to the Realms because he had too much power and ectoplasm. After taking the throne, his powers only grew, which meant someone had to summon him as the only way for him to stay on Earth longer than an hour.

Now as King, he appeared only within the small town of Amity Park daily. Why?

John sighs. "He has an anchor. Someone is tying him to this plane. Like the helmet for Nabu, which allows Doctor Fate to exist here without being launched back to the Infinite Releams, Phantom has bonded himself. And I know who that is"

He pulls up a class photo on Weston's blog and points to a boy wearing a particular necklace.

"Danny Fenton is wearing the official Royal Consort of the Infinite Realms symbol and has been since he was fourteen. Phantom's husband may be our only hope to salvage the terrible mess the USA's bloody GIW placed the rest of us in."

Danny loved the necklace he found in Pariah Dark's old haunt. He inherited Pariah's haunt and everything inside once he was crowned and hasn't taken it off since. He didn't think it would be an issue. It's not like it would out his secret to his parents or anyone else since it was in Ghost Speech. Even he didn't know what it said.

Then one morning he comes down for breakfast only to have the most important members of the Justice League sitting in his living room waiting to greet him.

Desperate to keep his halfa status a secret, Danny must convince the entire world watching him, that he's just a human who scandalously eloped at age fourteen with one of the strongest beings in the mulitverse.

Jack's horrified "We were shooting my son-in-law this whole time" became a meme that has trended for months.

How will the NRC boys react when you overblot with the thought of suicide?

I don't know what I am doing, but since many people are interested in Suicide Overblot Reader, I will write something for it then. Reference to this post.

I think I will try to do all of them. I hope...

Some might be OOC because I don't understand their character enough (Trey and Cater in this post case), sorry if it bothers you guys.

I don't really write it as platonic or romantic, try to keep it neutral so u can read it the way u want?

Warning: Mention of suicide, self-destructive, angst, depression(?), blood,... a bit heavy thought I guess?

Part: Hearslabyul

Riddle

- When he reaches Ramshackle and sees you got overblot, he is uneasy but still remains calm and serious.

- Slightly think that part of this is his fault for not paying more attention to you. He knows that you had to bear a lot of things lately, with school, with Crowley's unreasonable quest,...

- But, he has to stay strong, he has to, he is a Housewarden after all.

- But... when Riddle sees you hurt yourself, he is stunned and terrified. This can't be happening, it shouldn't be.

- He hears your faint cries about your insecurities, your fear of being a burden... and your wish to disappear.

- It makes him heartache, wonder what has made you reach this point. Then, it hit him, every word he told you when you guys first knew each other, before his overblot, and before he changed.

- This must be his fault, he has hurt you... Riddle lost in his guilt, almost overblot right then and there.

- Even Trey can't pull him back to reality, but Ace's punch can.

- "Stop blaming yourself, don't you want to save them?" It actually helps Riddle calm down.

- Riddle braced himself, he had to make it right, so he could apologize to you properly.

- You got him traumatized. And you guys will also have a longgg conversation after things end.

Trey:

- He is... a lil bit shocked and worried about the situation. But, years of taking care of Riddle and his maturity helped him stay calm.

- Even when you hurt yourself, he only flinches a bit before pulling out his pen and trying to destroy the black inky thorns without hurting you.

- Things get worse when Riddle loses his sanity and starts to blame himself while Ace and Deuce lose their cool, kicking and fighting to get to you.

- Try to calm Riddle down. But it's no use.

- Ace's outbursts still make him surprised every time, but at least things have become more stable. They can focus on the main problem now.

- He keeps calm through it all, but when everything comes to an end, he falls to the ground and exhales all his built-up tension.

- He will check in on you a lot more. Reaching out to you, asking about your day, and baking you a lot of treats. Become your figure mother at some point...

Cater:

- Like Trey, being the third-year he is, Cater is much more mature and reliable than he seems.

- Use his unique magic, protect the first year, and even try to lighten the mood while keeping an eye on you.

- He is not too worried since everyone is gathering here, to save you! So nothing can be wrong... right?

- The moment he sees the blood splatter out of your body, he inhales sharply and trembles slightly before turning around to block the view of the freshmen.

- But he fails to keep them from the view, so now Ace and Deuce go berserk. At least Epel and Jack are still sober enough to hold the duo back.

- Multitasking. Become much more serious.

- After it all, he won't force you to tell him things but he will talk with you a lot more, maybe about this funny meme or some new trend on Magicam. Do his best to make you laugh.

Ace:

- He first tries to joke about this when he sees you in your oveblot form. Act cool and funny but can't hide his care for you. Swear that he will knock you on your head a few times for making them worry sick.

- The moment you hurt yourself? Ace and Deuce tried to rush toward you but got held back by other first-years.

- Scold you, told you to stop hurting yourself, and even threatened that if you don't stop he will fight you...

- Also scold you for being stupid. Yes, you're magicless but you also have survived many life-or-death situations that even a pro mage can't. You're not useless!!!

- Asked Riddle to do something just to find out his dorm leader is having a mental breakdown right there.

- He punches Riddle (the second time), how can he act like that when you're still in danger?!

- Ace also cooled down after that, he left the job of returning you to normal to the Dorm leader while helping others destroy those blot-made thorns to prevent them from hurting you.

- You guys will have to talk a lot after this, and you know can't avoid it, Prefect.

Deuce:

- His face turned pale the moment he saw you. Out of anyone, he doesn't think you're the one who got overblot.

- Especially when you stab yourself, he lost his mind. The moment he runs out to you, Epel holds him back. Others told him to calm down, to make a plan.

- But, Deuce can't even hear a word, all he can hear is your whimpering and the scene of the thorns lunging through your flesh keeps playing in his mind.

- Like Riddle, he also blames himself. The difference is that he blames himself for not looking out for you more. You guys have been friends since the beginning and you are always taking care of them, but they have failed to do so for you.

- The guilty feeling building up inside him made him mad, he wanted to punch, to fight, to take his anger out on something.

- After the "fight" between Riddle and Ace went off, Deuce finally calmed down.

- After things end, the moment you back to normal, he will immediately run to you and hold you close, afraid that if he lets go, you will disappear.

- Says sorry to you again and again...

- Become a bit paranoid and protective after your suicide attempt.

⋆ The Pop Music Club was sitting in their club room, eating snacks as they talked. They had a show coming up in a few weeks, and were debating on what to perform. There were certain songs they would always play, but this time they wanted to do something different, to really make the show stand out. Lilia suggested they try a new genre, while Kalim suggested they incorporate a new instrument. Cater didn’t really have any suggestions, scrolling through Magicam for inspiration. While scrolling he comes across a new post from you, a smile coming to his face as he likes it.

⋆ As he continues scrolling he comes across fan edits, dancing videos, comedy skits, memes. He was about to switch apps when he comes across a post, a girl gushing about how her partner wrote a song for her, as a surprise for her birthday. The post includes a short clip of them singing to her, the girl standing there in shock for a moment before looking like she could cry. In the comments everyone talked about how romantic it was, some saying how they wished they had a partner like that.

⋆ A sudden thought occurs to him, looking up from his phone and turning towards the others as he suggests, “Why don’t we try writing our own songs?” Kalim and Lilia look to each other for a moment before agreeing, the two of them excited at the idea of writing their own song. After eating a few more snacks and talking for a little bit longer, they go their separate ways, each of them needing to have a song written for their next club meeting.

⋆ Cater stretched in his desk chair, sighing. He had been staring at his computer for a few hours now, a blank word document in front of him. He kept thinking and trying yet a song just wouldn’t come to him, getting up from his chair. He grabs his phone and earbuds before moving to lay on his bed, needing a break. He scrolls through Magicam as he listens to music, liking and sharing certain posts. He sees a post from the bakery in the village near Night Raven, announcing new items they would be adding to their menu soon. One of the items is a dessert that seems to be trending right now, everyone talking about how good it is.

⋆ He smiles as his mind immediately goes to you, knowing how much you like sweets. Without thinking he shares the post with you, sending another message right after that asking if you’d like to go with him when the bakery debuts their new desserts. It takes a few minutes before you respond, but your reaction was what he expected, telling him you would love to go with him and how excited you were to try the desserts. Your message had a mix of heart emojis throughout it, something you always did. Their was one particular heart emoji you seemed to use more than the others, Cater putting it next to your name in his phone. He did it because the heart emoji reminded him of you, that’s all. There was no other reason. (At least, that’s what he keeps telling himself)

⋆ It’s a few days later when the bakery debuts their new desserts, Cater waking up early knowing how busy they will be. You were already waiting for him outside campus, standing at the entrance gates. You were dressed more casually than usual, no longer wearing the uniform he was used to. He couldn’t help but stare, thinking how good you looked. You ran over to him as soon as you noticed him, thanking him again for inviting you. Cater wasn’t paying attention as you continued to talk, eyes focused on your mouth. There was just something about that lip balm you wore that he was drawn to, tempting him. It makes him want to…

⋆ He shakes his head, stopping himself from continuing that thought. You made your way to the bakery, talking and laughing as you walked. As you pass by a house Cater catches a glimpse of your reflection in the window, the sight almost making him stop. He never thought about how you held hands whenever you go somewhere, enjoying having you close. But seeing your reflection, your hands linked together as you talked, he couldn’t help but think…

We look like a couple

⋆ It doesn’t help that others would mistake you as such, strangers calling you his partner or his dorm mates telling him to enjoy his “date”. Trey had even complimented his appearance that morning, asking him what he was dressed up for. They’re wrong, Cater thinks. We’re just friends. Yet, the idea of you being “just friends” hurt, Cater choosing not to linger on it.

⋆ There was already a line when you got to the bakery, having to wait around fifteen minutes before you could enter. Cater’s attention was drawn to the dessert that was trending, ordering it to take a picture for his Magicam. You went to order one as well before Cater stopped you, reminding you that you could just eat his. You laughed, saying you forgot and thanking him. Once he got the dessert you went to sit outside, not wanting to stay in with how packed it was.

⋆ It was a nice day out, the table he chose giving you a nice view. Cater took the dessert out of it’s container, setting it up so that it looked good. He used the natural lighting to help take his photo, immediately uploading it to Magicam. When he looked up from his phone he noticed you sitting across from him, eyeing the dessert eagerly. His heart raced as he told you he just needed to take one more photo before you could dig in, focusing on you rather than the dessert as he took it. As soon as he said you could eat it, you started digging in, looking happy due to how good it was.

⋆ You stayed there for a while, Cater scrolling through his phone as you ate, talking and laughing in between. Whenever Cater saw a video or a meme he knew you would like, he would hold his phone out to you, watching as you tried not to choke on the dessert while laughing. Before you went your separate ways Cater gave you a hug, thanking you for coming with him. You hugged him back, telling him that you should be the one thanking him, considering he paid for the dessert. You promise to treat him next time as you wave goodbye, Cater watching you go before heading back to Heartslabyul.

⋆ As soon as he got back Ace was there, a teasing grin on his face as he asked how his “date” went. Cater gave him a look, used to his behavior as he tells him it wasn’t a date. After a moment he goes on, letting him know he had a good time, and that the dessert seems to be worth the hype. He heads to his room, running into Deuce along the way. He too asks how his “date” went, though his question seemed more genuine, Cater not having the heart to correct him. He breathes a sigh of relief once he’s inside, immediately laying in his bed.

⋆ He did his best to relax, mind racing as he pulled up the picture he took of you earlier. It had turned out better than he thought, your eyes lit up as you looked at the dessert on the table. You looked almost like you were glowing with how the sun hit your face, your hands clapped together in excitement. You looked so happy, so cute. He had to resist the urge to make it his phone background, shaking his head. He sat his phone on his chest, holding his arm over his eyes. He just needed to calm down, everything would be alright. You guys were friends, you were only hanging out. You weren’t dating, you weren’t his partner, he wasn’t…

He wasn’t…

“I’m not in love with them” he mutters to himself, though his racing heart wants to prove him wrong.

⋆ It’s in this moment that he realizes what he wants his song to be about, slowly getting up and moving to his desk. He writes what he’s thinking, what he’s feeling, using it as inspiration. After having to edit and rewrite it a few times he was finally happy with it, realizing how late it was when he checked his phone.

⋆ At their next club meeting Cater bursts into the club room, presenting the song he had written. Lilia gave him a knowing look as he read the lyrics, Kalim complimenting him on how good it was. After talking some more and discussing the songs Lilia and Kalim had written, they decided to perform the song Cater wrote, with him singing the lead vocals. As it got closer to their show date they began advertising it, posting on their socials and putting up flyers around campus. You even made a post on your Magicam about it, encouraging anyone who could to attend. You texted Cater the night before the show, telling him how excited you were, and wishing them good luck. He tried not to think about how it made his heart skip a beat.

⋆ The night of their show the Pop Music Club was buzzing with excitement, a fairly large crowd coming to see them. As they went on stage Cater’s eyes were drawn towards the front, right where you stood in the crowd. You waved at him, mouthing good luck as he gave you a small wave back. They did their usual introduction, playing some of the songs they were known for before playing the one Cater wrote near the end. He did his best to focus on different parts of the crowd as he sang, but he couldn’t help how he would always go back to you, locking eyes with you more than once.

Cater stumbles for a moment, laughing awkwardly as he shakes his head. “It totally wasn’t! I don’t know where you got that idea from, Lilia!”

Lilia eyes shine with amusement at his response, asking, “Oh, really? Can I ask what the inspiration was for the song, then? Perhaps, you had someone in mind…?”

Cater was quiet after that, knowing his response wouldn’t help his case. He couldn’t say that he wrote the song thinking of you, after all. ♡

we have the Tired Mom, the (not) Cool Older Brother, and the Loser Older Brother (that you forget is technically an older brother). what else would you ever want?

like??? Lucifer needs to put the two on a leash whenever they go out shopping. i mean he has to do that for all of his brothers but its upsetting that he needs to do it for these two as they should be the most well-behaved

but Levi is on the verge of summoning lotan because he didnt get a limited time figurine of a sanrio x ruri-chan crossover and mammon is currently trying to start up what appeared to be a pyramid scheme, so no these two were not to be trusted alone

But most days are good days though! Mammon behaves sometimes because Lucifer says if he's good then he can get a special treat; and Levi behaves majority of the time outside, but that's often because Lucifer handed him a tablet before leaving the car and he's been on it and not paying attention for the whole trip, just trailing behind Lucifer

In a similar vein, I think while Lucifer is trying to catch Levi up on the details of an important student council meeting he missed, the second he sees Levi's eyes start to wander he's quick to pull out with a subway surfers video or smth to keep his attention to the matter at hand (he also keeps a small bag with grimm in it to jingle in front of Mammon; it has the same affect)

Lucifer often looks at his brothers and is like "i expect more out of you two," and Mammon is like "¯\_(ツ)_/¯" and Levi responds by insulting Lucifer with so many internet slang words that Lucifer only knows half of at most but he knows he should be offended

You know how most people know a trend/meme is dead when the older generations get their hands on it? yeah that's Lucifer. Mammon cringes so hard whenever any internet term leaves his older brother's mouth. Levi cried once when Lucifer used the word "poggers"

(Lucifer, of course, is very much aware of this, and uses this to his advantage. He does his best to pay attention to the types of terms Levi uses, but they change like everyday and Lucifer is still always somehow a few years behind

Speaking of embarrassing older brothers: Mammon is such a col older brother and brags and boasts about this fact all the time and Levi is soooooo embarrassed by him its unreal. Like how the hell is this scumbag, who isn't even a tenth as cool as Lucifer is, his older brother. how did this happen

Obviously the label of "older brother" is used less the younger they get--Lucifer is The big brother; Mammon is an older brother but often isn't viewed as one (despite desperately wanting to be seen as one bc he loves his brothers soooo much he wants to protect them so badly I could go on for forever about it tbh); and Levi is more of "oh right i'm older" sort of older brother. he's like a babysitter than anything else

These three definitely get together in Lucifer's study to get drunk and talk tho you know they do. They all have to deal with so much shit from the younger four (most don't respect them as older brothers, don't listen to them, don't heed warnings about cursed objects (that necklace is cursed Asmo don't put it on stop putting it on-)), and so the three just get together and complain <33

They also coo a lot abt their younger brothers! Either when they get together and drink, or in their group chat. i mean, this is a bit canon already as the three talk about their brothers in their groupchat, but thinking about how they talk abt their brothers behind their backs (in a positive way) is sooo cute <3

also thinking abt how the three work very well together when needed! need to work on a larger chore together (grocery run, errands that need to get done either for their own reasons, for Diavolo, or for RAD)? usually lucifer and levi get the most work done when paired together! lucifer is often good at making sure levi stays on task, and is able to deal with his possible whining without making it worse

if mammon and levi usually leave with an 80% of either getting off track, or not getting anything done to begin with. on a good day they'll take an hour longer than needed

lucifer and mammon can get a lot of work done as well together! lucifer just has to keep a tight leash on mammon <3 but mammon, despite how much he gets on lucifer's nerves, steps up a lot when it's just him and lucifer

like, lucifer can trust mammon with just about anything...like yeah, hes annoying to all hell and back, but he's loyal and trustworthy. he's his brother, who lucifer can trust to keep him in check and go along with his plans when things go awry. they trust each other so much even when everything has gone to shit <33

and you know that even tho levi is big brother himself, lucifer and mammon still tease him bc he's still a little brother in their eyes <3 and the both are always just so incredibly proud of him when he learns and grows and gets out of his shell after they all fell

lucifer cares so much for all of them, and hes so proud of mammon and levi of what they've become. theyre responsible and caring and so full of love for the rest of their brothers and the people in their lives?? like. even after everything he's put them through, the pain he cause, the two still held up their heads and helped their younger brothers when they needed it. lucifer couldnt ask for better brothers

and levi and mammon?? following lucifer to the ends of the earth. hes done so much for this family and yeah, hes such a pain in the ass sometimes that it gets on their nerves, but they know how much he cares. how his heart bleeds for his family. he would do just about everything for this family, and mammon and levi would be right behind him with it

the three clash and get on each others' nerves often but like. those three? their bond is stronger than anything in the Three Realms. they all have each other's backs and would all just do everything in their power to protect their family and have them all safe <3 and really thats all the three of them could ask for

Pt. 1

“Refuses to take responsibility for this”- Idia

He’s too busy screaming to listen to what Malleus is saying because he’s too busy trying to figure out how he got into his room.  Malleus thinks that Idia is just suffering from some nerves and offers to pretend to be the child of man so he can practice… fighting fish for the prefect’s affection?  Outright refuses but it just comes off as him being too shy again, aaaand now he’s somehow been dragged to an aquarium on a practice date with Malleus who keeps insisting his childlike wonder is just him pretending to be the prefect.  At least Ortho is having the time of his life.  Maybe he can just convince you to come over and play some VR, he really needs to decompress after this.

“Wait don’t ask another guy I’ll do it”- Ace, Deuce, Kalim

Duece and Kalim both take what Malleus is saying extremely seriously and are equally distraught.  Deuce wants to be with you as the best possible version of himself, and that means putting his violent past behind him.  He did just learn how to make mackerel curry though, so maybe that counts?  He can practice fileting fish and hope you think the effort is cute.  Kalim really likes animals so the thought of hurting fish isn’t… ideal but hey maybe he just misheard Malleus and you just really like aquariums.  Yeah that’s got to be it!  There’s absolutely no way Malleus of all people could have misunderstood things in the first place, he’s too smart for that.  Ace sees this as a GOLDEN opportunity to make fun of you and the two of you have a bit of fun clowning around until you make the mistake of whining about how he wouldn’t fight one measly fish and he responds by saying he’d take a bullet for you with zero hesitation and completely seriously. 

Yeah it’s going to take a while for you both to reset after this one. 

“That’s a magicam moment babe”- Cater, Jamil

Both of these guys pay enough attention to trends to have at least an idea that Malleus might be taking a meme literally.  Cater thinks it’s a cute joke he can make a magicam post about, and it gives him an excuse to flirt with juuust enough plausible deniability he can save himself if it proves too embarrassing.  Jamil simply says he doesn’t need to rely on fleeting internet trends to win your affection.  Aquariums are a nice place for a date though so he thanks Malleus for the idea.

“PLEASE ask him to kill for you”- Epel, Lilia

Epel absolutely has a list of wild animals he could protect the prefect from and you can’t convince me otherwise.  He’s a bit iffy on where he ranks fish after meeting the Leech twins, but as long as your favorite isn’t an eel he is rip raring to go, just ignore that weird shadow in your peripheral vision that definitely isn’t Vil waiting to swoop.  Lilia is, obviously, aware that Malleus is misinterpreting a joke.  He’s just really attached to the image of you hanging off of him like the protagonist on the front cover of a really steamy romance novel while he fights off a salmon or something.  He has one of those open chested pirate shirts allll ready to go just say the word.

From what we’ve seen of Bernard’s relationship between himself and his parents, I’d say it’s fair to assume he was pretty unsupervised growing up. And given that he’s a college kid in (presumably 21-ish? never clear but TD:R confirmed he was in college and it is implied he is of drinking age) I’d say with reasonable certainty that Bernard was. like most of us. part of the generation raised by unrestricted internet access.

And I feel like as many people joke about Tim always being online, he would have been too busy with his Robin duties as a teenager to really pay more than casual attention to social media specifically. I scrolled on my phone mindlessly, the screen pulling me into a deep worm whole of TikToks to watch. Kyle was right beside me probably on his phone too I wasn't paying attention.

My For you page was mostly filled with weird memes, animal videos, and couples. I usually liked alot of couple tikoks considering I was in a relationship already and so many of the couples videos I've liked had done some pretty cute shit.

Like the latest trend that was going around with couples; the lipstick trend.

Most popular pairs on tiktok had done this, I was planning on doing it for awhile I did have somewhat of a big fan base that loves seeing me and Kyle make videos together, on my account it's basically just filled with me and him doing cutesy stuff the lipstick trend was just going to be another one.

"Ky! Wanna film a tiktok with mee?" I flipped over on my side to look at him. He set his phone down to look over at me, I made a pleading smile shaking my phone slowly in my hand.

I propped up and fixed my phone so it catch me in frame then set the timer. I ran quickly to my spot with my favorite lipstick I made a small glance over at letting out a giggle.

"You ready?" I whispered to him, smiling.

I nodded my head and returned to the camera to apply the lipstick when the timer stopped. As the music played I messed up applying lipstick on purpose pausing for a second to recognize my intentional mistake, then looking to my side.

I smiled sheepishly as I took ahold of Kyle's chin softly pulling him into frame, to reveal the various kiss marks planted all over his pretty structured face you could even see some reach down to his neck if you looked closely.

We smiled at each other, him growing nervous which made me a bit flustered that I planted a nervous kiss to the brim of his hooked nose. I pulled away to adore his face. He raised his hand to gently cup my cheek His face beamed with a genuine smile, it gave me butterflies.

Soon the video ended the 10 seconds was up we still remained staring upon each other in adornment for a few seconds till I pulled away.

I let go of Kyle's chin and kissed his head with a snicker. "That was so cute,, you're so cute Kyle." I bopped his nose. His face redden laughing nervously.

I smiled shortly before grabbing my phone to post our video. I squealed inside from how cute he looked and how the whole video came out. Once I posted the video I was met with Kyle holding onto my lipstick waving it in his hands, looking down at me.

"My turn."

As Kyle applied the lipstick to his lips I couldn't help but laugh but also grow nervous for some reason, his kisses made my stomach ache from butterflies fluttering around. It's just this weird effect this boy has on me.

It is as though, two decades later, the British royal family is just now learning about the Streisand effect. Back in 2003, Barbara Streisand sued a photographer for releasing a picture of her home that few people had seen. Usually if Domnra is busy training or listening to way too loud music with headphones to hear his D.D.D ringing, Mobim would be in charge of replying to texts, while the little curse would bring the D.D.D to Domnra in case of calls, since Mobim only knows how to express itself through squeaks. On an occasion where even Mobim fails to intervene in time, then it would be the time MC would send such punishment to their partner via text. Domnra would choke on his spit at seeing himself represented as a character from the Boyfriends webtoon, especially Goth, because not only would Domnra know the webtoon's terrible reputation, but he would also find it offensive and take it personally. MC should prepare themselves to receive a voice message, lasting about half an hour, in which an annoyed Domnra would shout swears and order MC to delete such garbage

AZUL

Azul is quite often on social media, however when busy with photography or painting, he would tend to keep his D.D.D on silent, to avoid distractions, consequently missing texts, even from MC. Azul would know perfectly well about the reputation of the Boyfriends webtoon, being in step with internet trends and memes, so noticing himself drawn as Nerd, he would let out a dismayed gasp, but he wouldn't be discouraged, two can play the same game. MC would receive in the following days sketches of them drawn pregnant with Shrek holding their belly or in a threesome with Mario and Sonic, after all it was MC who started the war and Azul wouldn't back down

ZURI

Zuri often receives commissions via email or important phone calls, so she would be quite careful with her D.D.D, however it could happen every now and then that while she is busy with the sewing machine, Zuri may not hear MC's texts. As soon as Zuri noticed their text, which was a sketch of her drawn as a certain Renee Graves, she would look at the drawing with a raised eyebrow, trying to grasp the motivation behind it. After some research, Zuri's expression would turn exasperated and cold. Zuri would then inform MC that if they wanted their privilege of receiving affection revoked, then they could have semply asked for it directly, letting MC reflect on their childish actions and then expecting an apology

ODON

Odon wouldn't be very experienced with technology, in fact they would be quite certain that due to their eldritch nature, electronic devices struggle to function properly in their presence, so MC would be quite heartless to blame Odon for it. Furthermore, Odon is very knowledgable, but on ancient matters, while on more modern topics they would be quite clueless, therefore at the sight of themselves drawn like Andrew from The Coffin Of Andy And Leyley, Odon wouldn't understand that it's supposed to be a punishment, they would think MC did such thing only for the similarity between their colors and would politely thank MC for the present, complimenting their artistic skills (please protect Odon-)

REMIEL

(Please protect Remiel pt.2-) Remiel would have no idea how technology works, she has never used it and would need help the first few times before understanding how a D.D.D works, even if she wouldn't reach Simeon's levels. Remiel, as she's often busy with leading souls to the afterlife, may not have much time to reply to texts and therefore would be forced to read them later and get used to controlling the device. Noticing MC's text, Remiel would notice a sketch of herself drawn in a certain style, like Goth, even if she wouldn't realize that it was the Boyfriends webtoon, so she would simply reply with a question mark, as if to ask what the sketch was about, making MC feel almost guilty, given Remiel's innocence

Surprisingly, Nathaniel would know how to use a D.D.D and would be quite up to date with technology and internet, however due to his celestial duty, he would often find himself forced to respond with a slight delay, a mistake which to his surprise, MC would make him pay dearly for. Nathaniel would notice a text, showing himself drawn as Prep from the Boyfriends webtoon and would observe in silence for a few seconds, before writing to MC that perhaps spending too much time in Devildom has made them fit to become a demon, there is a circle of hell especially for people as them after all, he would add, although it wouldn't be clear from his texts whether Nathaniel is serious or kidding

URIEL

Uriel wouldn't consider using a D.D.D necessary, believing that MC chanting her name would be enough to make her come down from the Celestial Realm to their aid, however given MC's insistence, she would agree to bring her D.D.D with her, but often forgetting to check it, not used to have it. Uriel would finally deign to respond to MC and noticing the sketch of herself in the guise of Jock from the Boyfriends webtoon, not understanding the reference, she would demand explanations from MC. If MC confessed the details, Uriel would show up at MC's location, loudly telling MC they should be ashamed and that she will not tolerate such insults

“Puppies!,” Evelyn clapped her hands excitedly as the door to the studio opened and in came 4 overexcited puppies racing toward the five members, “They’re so full of energy.”

“One time when we went together, Evelyn turned on ‘HIT’ and was walking in time with the beats on the treadmill,” Chan let the puppy he was petting go as they raced off to be with the others, “I was think wow she is really cool with not tripping and keeping the beat going since it’s a really intense song.”

Minghao reached over and grabbed Evelyn’s arm, forcing her to look at what he was freaking out over. One of the puppies needed an urgent bathroom break and went on the floor. What was the most difficult situation you faced during your debut?

“I joined much later than the other members, and I was always nervous that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with them or that I wasn't a good enough fit for the group. Especially with being the only girl in the group, I didn’t want people thinking I would slow their progress. So I definitely felt huge pressure to not let anyone down, the guys especially.” Evelyn welcomed the brown and white puppy as she climbed into her lap, settling down to watch the other three run around.

She pouted when she realized the puppy had fallen asleep, slowly raising her arm up to grab the other members' attention.

“You were quick to pick up though, don’t be hard on yourself,” Minghao reached his hand across to pet gently at the sleeping puppy.

“Our other members! I think it would be fun to have everyone here!” Evelyn looked down at the puppy waking up from her quick nap, wanting to jump back into playing like she hadn’t stopped at all.

“We have a lot of dog lovers!” Dino nodded.

“Or even let the members who are cat lovers come play with the kittens!,” Evelyn scratched behind the puppy’s ear that was closest to her, “That would also be a lot of fun!”

Once the camera’s cut off, the members were allowed a little extra time to be with the puppies before the end of their schedule.

“I’m gonna take this one home,” Evelyn pouted, holding the brown and white puppy in her arms, “I’m gonna miss hanging out with you and your friends, but I hope you get adopted into a good home.”

“I take it you want your own,” Seokmin rubbed the back of the tan puppy, watching as he ran after one of the toys Chan had thrown.

“Really badly,” Evelyn let the puppy go as she started to squirm, “I just haven’t had time to start looking.”

“I’m sure when the time is right you’ll find the right puppy!” Minghao spoke, reaching over to tap Evelyn on the knee.

What would prevent you from following someone?

I try to only follow people if [a] I have interest in whatever they have to show or say on their blog, [b] they seem like they might be cool to hang out with, and [c] I think there’s a reasonable likelihood that we’ll interact with each other. As a result, I follow very few blogs in the grand scheme of things, so the unhelpfully broad answer to this question is that all sorts of things will keep me from following someone. Sometimes it’s ‘the big stuff’ that will keep me away, such as that I don’t like their writing or the kinds of narratives that interest them, I don’t know their characters’ source material and don’t care to try it or learn about it, their info pages either don’t exist or don’t inspire my confidence in their interpretation of their character, etc. And other times, it really does just come down to the fact that, for whatever reason and whether fairly or not, I simply don’t like the cut of their jib.

What current rp trend do you hate?

This goes to show how little attention I pay to trends within RP circles, probably, since I don't know if this is a current thing or a 'people have always been this way; what are you even talking about?' thing. In any case, I really, really hate the tendency that a lot of players have of basically refusing to ever let their characters be wrong, biased, flawed, weak, foolish, etc. in a way that's actually ugly or otherwise reflects poorly upon them as a person. It's so common that the punch gets pulled, or there's some kind of mitigating factor which excuses/justifies/absolves/minimizes the flaw, and so on; which is unfortunate because it’s good to let your characters suck, fail, be wrong, and look bad sometimes.

A related issue that gets me rolling every fucking time is when players have their characters act and speak in totally informed and socially progressive ways even when it's clearly more reflective of the players trying to avoid getting yelled at on Tumblr Dot Com than of the characters’ actual--...well. Characteristics.

(For example, imagine a hypothetical player having their, say, Vegeta scoff at another character for using the word "prostitute" rather than "sex worker", because the former is a pejorative term, and acting like he's so over the legal and societal devaluation of sex workers. Who's really talking in this scenario: Vegeta or his player?)

What do you know now about rp that you wish you knew when you first started?

Friendships garnered through RP are extremely transient and will fizzle out the instant one person gravitates toward a new fandom or goes inactive or whatever if one doesn't make a pointed and continuous effort to foster camaraderie outside of the RP context. If there are people you meet here that you want to keep in your life longer-term, get their Dis.cord handle or their personal blog or whatever else and interact with them about things that aren't just RP-related. Doing so will broaden the friendship and make it more likely to withstand the test of time and changing interests.

name: 欣怡 (xīn yí)

gender: female she/her

general appearance: really doesn't look like either of them. adopted by them for whatever reason. relative that was the parent died etc. anyway! she ended up with them. chocolate brown hair, green eyes and a lot of energy.

personality: extremely outgoing and i mean that as in: she loves to be around friends and make new friends. brings home friends from school more often than not, involved in activities, constantly up to date with trends, lingo, god awful tiktok memes etc. a little cheerleader (literally) and occasional prankster. loves to pull harmless pranks and record the reactions she gets. i'd say she's easily excitable and she likes to see the good in people. she knows she's safe to express herself as she pleases and she has a good support system at home. not only her roommate dads (and they were ACTUALLY roommates. bffs for life.) but also baiheng, dan feng and jingliu.

special talents: actually really book-smart. one of those kids that don't have to study their butt off to pass a test. she pays enough attention in classes and reads things once or twice for them to stick. lucky her! since she'd rather spend that time doing other things instead.

who they like better: dads are on shared 2nd place. dan feng and baiheng on top. winner of the favorite parent trophy even if they technically aren't officially a parent. but they are. he is uncle and dad just like baiheng is auntie and mom. ren can't even be mad about it. and he does like dan feng too.

who they take after more: i don't think her personality is very close to either of them but i think she takes after both to some capacity. she's responsible like jing yuan but at times irritable like ren.

personal head canon: i imagine her situation is weird to explain. like she will meet new people and try to explain that she's being raised by two guys who are literally just roommates. people mistake them for a couple sometimes and she gets really defensive and lectures them and shows them 400 pictures of dan feng on her phone. OR. or. or. hear me out. or she lets someone believe that jingren are a couple and then when jing yuan and dan feng show up to pick her up from school (holding hands) she tells them "that's my daddy's boyfriend" and watches her teacher's face lose all its color. fun for her. less fun for her dads. but in the end she obviously doesn't want jingren to actually be a thing. if anything, she sees them both as older brothers rather than dads. if that makes sense? still, she likes to have her fun and who am i to stop her?
