more jason grace jason todd switcheroo!!
jason grace being in the batfam is interesting to think abt because he's a finely trained weapon, but he's a demigod trained for fighting monsters and other mythical beings. so he's not very used to fighting against the gadgetry of gotham heroes so in the beginning he's rather outmatched when he fights without his powers.
but also he has superpowers? he can summon lightning and winds and make a mean storm.
and that's only what bruce knows! so he's about to send jason grace off to the teen justice league dorms to learn more about his powers and jason's like "sure i guess, i guess that's my payment for asking you guys to help me back to my dimension"
and that's when alfred steps in because he can tell that jason grace absolutely does not feel like fighting crime. sure he'd do it, and he's very willing to help out these nice people that took him in. but grace is doing it out of a begrudging and instilled sense of duty, rather than a need to fight crime.
bruce is so floored by this realization (courtesy of alfred) that he then just shoves jason under his butler's wing instead and tells him no you don't need to fight if you don't want to. so jason makes trips to the justice league compounds to try and find his way back, but in the meantime he follows alfred around the manor and helps him out.
grace: Alfred is a professional butler and knows how to do things
grace: I'm not, so damian for fuck's sake stop getting so much dirt and blood on your suit.
grace: i bought a mat for the front door and the batcave, wipe your boots before coming in.
grace: you need to scrape food off of your plates BEFORE you put it in the sink-actually no, wash your own plates!
alfred: dear jason has been working so hard to help around the manor
someone: he's literally just ordering the batfam around to do chores
alfred: jason has taken so much off my plate, such a helpful young man.
damian, bleeding from multiple cuts with a sprained ankle and being barked at by jason to put his boots on the rack where it belongs

*after everything that has happened everyone was shocked.*
Blood and broken glass were everywhere inside and out of the house.
D10: *he was still in shock after what he saw*
Tumblr media
Eventually D10 heard everyone from inside and quickly ran to see if everyone was ok.
D10: IS EVERYONE OKAY?!?
Gordon: I think most of us are fine- *he sees Rebecca horrible hurt* !!! - Rebecca are you alright!?
Rebecca: N-no... I don't think so... *She lifted up her hand and saw it covered in her own blood.*
Tumblr media
Harold: me and Mr Routh are a bit beaten up but that's all...
Alfred: *he tried to find the younger ones he already had found Ben and Bill.*
Timothy: WHERE'S THOMAS AND PERCY!?
D10: calm down w-we will find him-- *he heard crying* !!!- *he turned around*
Everyone eyes widened and was in shock from what they just saw*
Percy: *he was trying to help Thomas walk but ended up dragging him to the others he was terrified* PLEASE HELP HIM!!
Thomas: *he looked worse than before. He could barely speak, walk, or anything. His horrific injuries only made things worse for himself.
Tumblr media
Everyone quickly ran to Thomas. They knew if they didn't help him quickly his body could shut down and he would most likely die.
Timothy grabbed Thomas and tried his best to keep Thomas awake. Everyone knew that they couldn't waste anymore time and they ran to the Steamworks hoping that everything will be at least alright soon.
D10: GLYNN! PLEASE COME HERE NOW!!
Glynn: !!!- *he ran towards everyone and he saw how bad and serious this is.*
Tumblr media
Glynn: *he didn't say a word and snatched Thomas from Timothy's arms and started to hook him up to many things to keep Thomas awake and prevent Thomas's body from shutting down.*
Throughout the whole thing Thomas was terrified even though from the outside of his body he could barely show any kind of emotion because of how tired he was, he was terrified and he wanted to scream and cry just how much pain he was in but he couldn't it was like Thomas was paralyzed and he was forced to stay in that position.
*In the deep part of the forest.*
The parasite limped around like it was trying to find a certain area then it stopped as it saw him.
Crovan: *he saw the corrupted parasite and picked it up like it weighs nothing* aww poor thing... Got into the sun's touch.. don't worry now .. I don't bite *he giggles to himself* father will be happy to see us!
*after a while*
Corrupted Leader: *He was quietly doing his job then another corrupted slowly came by him*
???: Father someone is here... And he wants to speak to you...
Corrupted Leader: !?- oh...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Corrupted Leader: *He walks where this person was at. He was not prepared for who it was.* !!!!..... C- Crovan?
Crovan: Hello father... It's been a while hasn't it?
The corrupted parasite quickly runs up to Corrupted Leader.
Tumblr media
Corrupted Leader: But... But where are you? After all this time....
Crovan: I have been in... A different world.... But now I'm back....
Corrupted Leader: *he couldn't believe it then he looked down at Crovan's arm* .... My child did you go into the sunlight?
Crovan: ok don't worry about it father it's nothing... Besides I have many things to tell you..
Corrupted Leader: ...Well let's get you inside so I can fix you up..
Crovan: Alright father..

DP x DC idea:
Paulina Sanchez becomes the Wayne family's new PR manager. She works hand-in-hand with Alfred and Tim's secretary (maybe another Amity Parker?) to coordinate meetings with the press and keeps a lid on the family's more unique civilian adventures.
Everything is going well until she suddenly comes onto the comm system late at night, startling Nightwing so badly that he almost misses his next flip.
"Robin, don't forget to assist the civilian. They're recording the fight and will probably post it on their Instagram later."
"Batman, turn to the left a little bit. The street lamp is casting an ugly shadow; you need to seem more mysterious."
"Red Hood, don't forget to return the heads of the gang leaders in a canvas bag this time, not polyester. It'll add to the ambiance of the situation."
Little snippets like these filled their ears each and every night, despite all surveillance indicating that Miss Sanchez was home asleep in her bed. Was someone copying the manager's voice on purpose? Why couldn't they trace where the extra comm signal was coming from? Was Paulina Sanchez a spy sent to rattle their resolve? What was going on???
It was a lot more innocent than the paranoid-stricken Waynes thought. Paulina was simply doing her job according to Amity Park's logic.
Most people didn't have some weird lair in their basement, usually filled with world-ending secrets. But 9/10 Amity Parkers did, so it was a cinch to find the entrance to the Batcave on her first day. And when Paulina signed on as a manager, she didn't realize that the job did not extend to the family's nightlife. Nor did she realize that no one else knew who the Batfamily were since Amity Parkers could clock secret identities in an instant. (Thanks for that wish, Wes.)
So while the Waynes are freaking out about the breach in their system, Paulina is mentally patting herself on the back for being so good at her job. She even utilized her hard-earned sneaking-out and liminal skills to create a fake body double to confuse any aggressive intruders that crept into her apartment while she was gone. And honestly, the Bats have never had such a positive online reputation! Getting Tucker to encrypt her secondary social medias was the right call. Now she can post about her bosses without anything being traced back to her.
Paulina is a little peeved about her overtime pay not showing up on her paychecks, however. Maybe she'll bring that up to Mr. Wayne the next time she sees him.

Dp x Dc AU: Bruce has a 'if you can't beat them, join them' mentality about the tabloids claiming he adopts too many kids- Developing foster homes that are paid for through the Wayne inheritance, personally vetted by the Bats, they're the leaders in the space for child health outcomes and family placement. Insert Danny.
---
Bruce has too much wealth, too many rumors and not enough reach into the abhorrent foster homes around Gotham to improve them. Tim ends up being the one to suggest it- He's the one who buys up their real estate for their safe houses after all- and Bruce is more than ready to pull the metaphorical trigger to get new clean welcoming spaces, Bat-background checked fosters and a new era of adoption in Gotham underway.
He's lobbied the state and the federal government for reforms of course, but this is a project he can micromanage. He spends time with every kid that comes through, talks with all the families that want to adopt and makes sure that these miniature homes are provided only the very best. Alfred personally hires all the staff, and with Barbara more than happy to help relocate the unhoused children she spots while they patrol, the project is a glowing success.
Occasionally, spots in their houses fill up, and those are the weeks were Cass takes on the Cowl of Batman- Bruce Wayne will personally invite a child in need to his home. He always has one of his kids present (they rotate on a pre-determined schedule) and he does his best to try and get them to understand that they deserve the world, have all the potential that anyone else has and can achieve a bright future. That he will personally aid them in their ambitions.
PR goes crazy for it of course, but Bruce and all of his children know its genuine. Almost too genuine, because a betting pool 'WILL THEY BE ADOPTED' regularly circulates between the siblings and the entire JL when someone spends time at the manor. And not just the black-haired, Blue-eyed kids get picked as favored outcomes- but obviously the running joke gets passed around.
It's a Thursday night when Bruce gets the call that the houses have once again filled up, and that there is a child in need of a home. The social worker (he knows her as Marsha and he has flowers planned to be sent on her birthday next week, like he does for all of his employees) (Say micromanaged one more time) explains that the kid is a bit cagey but has opened up with some humor. She explains that he has a few strange... mannerisms. She's not sure what to make of him, a non-gothamite for sure but something is, well, distinctly 'not from around here' about his energy.
Danny arrives at the house, meets Duke and Alfred, and by the time Bruce meets him at the dinner table it seems as though Marsha had it all wrong. This kid was laughing, he was teasing, he was totally playing along like he'd gone through nothing. Bruce is glad he's in high spirits but its just so... so different from all the other children he's taken in.
Bruce re-focuses on the conversation when Duke mentions something flashing, and its the first time that Danny goes quiet. Entirely still.
"...you noticed that?" Danny quietly asks, a bit of disbelief in his tone.
"You don't have a flashlight on or something do you? It was super bright whatever it is that you had in your hand a second ago?" Duke tries to sound chill but he's looking very much not chill. Bruce saw nothing, and that puts him further on edge.
"Look... I uh, I've been though... I've been through a lot lately. And the last lab I was in kind of, messed with me. I'm normally much better at dealing with it all, I promise." Danny sounds nervous, and the room seems to chill.
"Ah shoot, sorry." Danny notices something and frantically apologizes.
"Sorry for what Danny? You've done nothing wrong but I am worried about you- You said you were in a lab?" Bruce is desperately trying to calm him down while not slipping into Batman interrogation mode.
"Uh, yeah, like a lot of labs. It should get warmer in a second, its just cause I startled, I promise."
"You're a meta." Duke speaks softly and with hope in his voice- Danny is looking between them with wide eyes filled with fear.
"I mean I don't technically have the gene-"
"Danny, have you told any of your case workers where you were? Do any authorities know what you've been through?" Bruce needs to know, desperately, that who ever gave this young boy super powers is brought to justice. Danny goes quiet.
"I'm really sorry." He says softly, but he doesn't leave them.
Duke and Bruce try to ask a few more questions but the silence that meets them declares the conversation over, even with Duke admitting he himself is a meta. Danny didn't even look up from his plate. They watch a movie after dinner, and Danny seems to get back to the smile-y happy guy he had been before dinner.
Each of the bat-fam have their own interactions with Danny- And even if they're getting along amazingly, Danny won't open up. He doesn't open up to his provided therapist. Doesn't talk to Alfred. No one knows what's up.
So when Marsha calls Bruce back explaining they now have a spot for Danny and he can move out of the Manor... Bruce replies that he'd like to get started on Adoption paperwork, so long as Danny is fine with it.
---
Turns out, Danny is fine with it. he's both the newest Wayne and their newest case. (And godamnit, his new family is going to avenge him. If only he'd let them try.)
Danny figures out that Duke= Signal early on because of that dinner, and if he's going to keep his parents out of jail, he needs to be as close to the investigation as possible. He knows that he shouldn't protect the Fentons, but he feels the upset in his core at the thought of letting them befall any harm. He has to protect them. Has to protect Jazz and her hiding spot as a mole within their lab. Has to.
Even if it meant lying to his new family who loves him, and who he loves in equal return. Even if it means lying to The Bats.
---
Tabloids go crazy about the black-haired blue-eyed thing of course, but no poll was ever taken by the batfam or the JL who know the whole story.

do you think dick grayson feels the weight of the world sometimes do you think he lays awake at night in his tiny shitty apartment in bludhaven and thinks about how he's the one who taught bruce wayne- who taught BATMAN how to really feel and love again and how every single robin after him is his responsibility because of that ? do you think he sits at family dinners with the whole extended batfamily and thinks "i did this" because he was the first ? do you think he sees some new teen hero and is terrified for them because he was them back when he wasn't around to be looked up to ? because he was the first ? do you ever think about how he wasn't only the first robin but the first kid hero ? and every fight he won he proved that other kids could too and do you think he regrets that ?? knowing how many terrified children there are fighting wars that shouldn't be theirs to fight ???? do you think he is also so incredibly proud of all of them in a way only he can because he Came First ??????
i think he does
do you think it drives a wedge between him and the entire world ? do you think jason sees him on some rooftop in gotham and thinks about sitting down next to him but doesn't because of all the years of distance and arguments and despite everything that's ROBIN sitting there ? the original ? and how jason never would have been robin if dick hadn't proved that robin was more than a child soldier in an adults war ?? with all that between them what could jason say compared to everyone's golden boy, the perfect child, the original boy wonder ???? do you think tim ever gets over his hero worship ? or is there a split second everytime where he goes Holy shit ! it's Nightwing !! Nightwing is talking to me !!!! even after everything that dicks put him through and all the empty space between them that tim never imagined would be there ? do you think that's just the effect that dick has on people where no matter what you can't help but look at him in awe, like he's superhuman ?
do you ever think about how he was an ordinary kid ? he could have been anyone . do you think about if he was anyone else he likely would not have made it and someone else would have had to fight all the battle he did, to survive, to be taken seriously, to figure out how to breathe and live and be the light instead of being smothered in batman's shadow ??? do you think about how he was the first kid hero but he was still just a kid growing up and fighting with his dad, and moving away and making new friends and falling in love and he was still the first kid hero and he was never just a kid . he was the leader of the first kids hero team . he's never just been a kid . do you think he regrets that it was him ??? do you think when batman died he regretted everything, every single thing? i don't think he did . do you think that when he was batman, and raising batman's son the way bruce raised him, the way alfred raised bruce (always raising someone elses son) he saw himself in all the anger and the reckless way damian would throw himself into fights, in a desperate way to prove himself the only way he CAN ?? do you think dick remembers being 10 and sad and angry and needing someone else to be hurt so that it wasn't just him ??? do you think that dick regrets making damian robin because of how it forces him to look at how he himself has grown and how much robin has changed from what he made it ??? i don't think he does . do you think he ever apologies to tim ? i don't think he knows how, i think he finds himself staring at their texts and wondering what words would have fixed his hurt when bruce fired him and kicked him out . and i think he decides time and space is what did it, so time and space will do it again . i think it's the wrong decision . i think they both regret it later . do you ever think about how bruce might have tried but at the end of the day everyone went to dick because he was easier to talk to ?
do you think about how he made the hard decisions like batman did, and he lost his parents like batman did, and he grew up in a massive empty house with an emotionally distant father who tried his hardest but still felt oceans away, like batman did, and he decided to be the light where batman decided to be the shadows ? he decided he wouldn't let it break him like batman did, but batman chose to become something to fear and nightwing has always been more hopeful, brighter, flashier . do you think about how in the middle of the night young people unaccustomed to the manor might end up in dicks room instead of bruce's ? because there's always a piece of bruce that stays batman, even when he takes the cowl off ? do you think about how dick understands because he was a young person unaccustomed to the manor, standing outside bruce's bedroom absolutely terrified to go in ? and how he was the first, and all he and bruce had were eachother ?
do you think about how hard they've worked since then to make sure that no one else will be alone the way they were ? and how dick is able to help with all the younger kids when bruce can't, or won't because to a child those are the same things ?? do you think about how dick must have read the same parenting books that bruce had in his office after bruce died when he was stuck and drowning and grieving and there was a child down the hall he didn't know how to protect ???? do you think dick and bruce were closer after he came back ?? do you think that just for a moment there was an echo of their past partnership in the way they were able to read eachother ?? do you think about how dick has had a hand in raising most of the other bat kids ??? because he was the first . and he was proof it was possible to live with batman and survive it ??
because i think about it . All The Time .

Cannot take my mind off southern! Waynes. Thomas has huge “Texas mom” vibes and I can’t explain it. I just KNOW he was a work dad if that makes sense.
I wanna hear about Thomas Wayne who’d have indents around his mouth from long nights at the hospital, who always reeked of blood but smiled like sunshine spilling on his teeth, who came to work meetings in his scrubs because he didn’t have time to change.
GIVE ME THOMAS WAYNE WHO BABIED HIS EMPLOYEES!
“My god, darlin’, I reckon you didn’t take that break we discussed! Now, I know you wanna show off to them high-heel folk, but you better go and fix yourself a snack and a nap, alright?”
“You’re still supposed to be with the juniors, mentoring don’t end for another month! Your team leader assigned you this? Aw, sugar plum, course it ain’t your fault, lemme handle it, all right?”
He’s stop meetings just to be like, “Hold your horses ya’ll, the boss is calling,” and it’s just Martha or Alfred. I know for a fact he loved bringing Bruce around the office and hospital, too.
