I just love how much of a food aberration enjoyer he is, he’s been around the world countless times so it makes sense he has an “eccentric taste”

Me, non-american, not living in america, hasn't even ever visited america, looking at the theories as to where Metropolis, Gotham, and Smallville probably is located:

I wonder if I've just leave my ongoing superbat fic as I am visibly confused in all the languages existed.

Which myths would you be particulary excited about working into the superfox verse
Greek myths are always a classic. I’ve already mentioned things like centaurs, harpies, sirens, and dryads. But tbh them in a modern setting has already been thoroughly explored by stories like Percy Jackson so they’re not the most exciting to explore.
I think what I’m most anticipating is Celtic folklore. It’s always been one of my favorite mythos. I kind of want to include Kelpies somehow because I love those murder horses but I’m not sure how. I just love how many of their creatures are just slightly inhuman like with the fae, leprechauns, werewolves, bodach, the dullahan, vampires, and a bunch of unique ghosts like the banshee. It would be fun to find ways to integrate them into modern society.
I think I just have a weakness for myths about tricksters

White Americans will literally see an Asian American person and think they arrived fresh off the boat to America YESTERDAY
like b*tch we’ve been in this country for generations
We built your railroads, worked on your plantations, lived in your internment camps, we weren’t allowed to vote or own property for years and had to create chinatowns due to racial segregation and zoning laws and were treated like cattle and also LYNCHED (yes look it up) and you erased OUR AMERICAN HISTORY
Anyways - I started watching Warrior on HBO Max and it’s about the Chinese Americans in California after the Civil War and the racism they faced is astounding
So sick and tired of white people seeing me or my brother and asking us “where are you from?” Or “what are you?” Or shouting “nihao!” In our faces as if we just arrived in this country yesterday lmfao when you know for a fact some Asian Americans have been in this country for generations then they turn around and call us “model minority” smh

Never blame the US culture for the culturally informed negative actions of immigrants
Tumblr media
There was a man who asked me 3 times if I did “massages”. He recognized I was Asian. This man was not born in the US. He has a heavy accent with broken English and was propositioning me.
I didn’t come out of that situation thinking “this is such a racist country”. No. I came out thinking “This man needs to be reprimanded and shown this isn’t how we do things in the US”. It was then I realized how immigrants can bring their negative cultural influences into the US…
I was told by my counselor that I should take some kind of pity on him because maybe he had a wife and kids to feed and not try to do more than report him by phone to his company.
I was told by someone who was born in the US to take pity on a racist man from a less progressive country who propositioned me for sex because I was Asian… If he had enough money to take prostitution, he has enough money to feed his family.

also this show (i think it's a tv show, imdb is saying it's a tv show) has the potential to be either very good or very bad purely based on time period because, well, they've made harley asian-american, jim gordon is black, bruce wayne is a jewish man, and depending how far they get into his life, he has a romani son and a daughter of east asian descent, all of which are identities that come with a lot of baggage in the 1940s in a way they don't in honestly any other time period and idk if i entirely trust bruce timm to handle that
