Boosting Pre-Primary Education Success with Parental Power

Are you a parent of kids who is worried about their pre-primary education practices? The early years are a critical window for a child's development, and the role of parents is paramount. The foundation of a child's educational success is laid long before they step into a formal classroom.
Pre-primary education plays a vital role in nurturing this growth, but it's important to remember that a child's first and most influential teacher is often their parent. Empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices is not just beneficial; it is essential. It also helps in creating a good bond between the child and parents.
In the blog, you will learn more about empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices in detail.
Why Empowering Parents Matters
Many parents may experience uncertainty regarding their child's pre-primary education. They may wonder how to best support their child's learning at home or how to bridge the gap between what happens in the classroom and their daily routines. Parents are concerned about their kid’s education at home. They think about how they can help educate their kids in the best way at home. Empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices deals with these concerns by:
1. Building Confidence
When parents gain a comprehensive understanding of child development milestones and effective learning strategies, they become more confident in their capacity to support and foster their child's growth. This knowledge gives them the confidence to create enriching learning environments and engage in activities that promote their child's cognitive, emotional, and social development.
As a result, they can play a more active and informed role in their child's early education, positively impacting their overall development and readiness for future educational challenges.
2. Enhancing Collaboration
When parents feel empowered with the right knowledge and resources, they are better equipped to communicate and collaborate effectively with teachers. This empowerment enables them to actively participate in discussions about their child's progress, share insights about their child's needs, and support the educational strategies implemented by teachers.
3. Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom
Through an understanding of the curriculum and learning activities implemented at school, parents can effectively tailor their efforts at home to create engaging and complementary experiences that reinforce their child's educational journey.
4. Fostering a Love for Learning
When parents show excitement and eagerness to learn new things, their positive energy and enthusiasm become infectious, inspiring those around them, including their children, to also assume a love for learning and exploration.
Strategies for Empowering Parents
1. Education and Awareness
Workshops and Seminars
Organizing workshops and seminars on child development and early education can provide parents with valuable insights. Topics such as the importance of play, language development, and positive discipline can be covered.
Online Resources
Creating a repository of online resources, including articles, videos, and interactive modules, can help parents access information at their convenience.
2. Practical Guidance
Activity Guides
Providing parents with guides on age-appropriate activities can help them engage their children in meaningful ways. These guides can include simple games, reading lists, and craft ideas that promote learning.
Routine Building
Assisting parents in establishing daily routines that incorporate learning activities can ensure consistency and structure, which are vital for young children.
3. Community Building
Parent Support Groups
Facilitating parent support groups where experiences and ideas can be shared fosters a sense of community. These groups can meet in person or online, providing a platform for mutual support.
School-Parent Partnerships
Strengthening the partnership between schools and parents can lead to more cohesive educational experiences. Schools can organize regular meetings and involve parents in the decision-making process regarding their child's education.
Addressing Common Challenges
Despite the best intentions, parents often face challenges in implementing effective pre-primary education practices. These challenges can include time constraints, lack of resources, and limited understanding of child development principles.
Empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices means acknowledging these challenges and providing practical solutions.
Time Management
Offering tips on time management can help parents balance their responsibilities while dedicating time to their child's education. This could include integrating learning activities into daily routines and setting realistic goals.
Access to Resources
Collaborating with community organizations and libraries to provide parents with access to books, educational materials, and toys can bridge resource gaps. Additionally, creating online platforms where parents can share and exchange resources can be beneficial.
Continuous Learning
Encouraging parents to continuously educate themselves about child development through books, courses, and online content can keep them informed and motivated.
The Final Note
Empowering parents with effective pre-primary education practices is an essential step in ensuring that children receive the best start in their educational journey. By providing parents with the knowledge, resources, and support they need, we can help them build the confidence required to foster their child's development at home. This empowerment not only enhances the learning experience for children but also strengthens the bond between parents and their children.
Through education and awareness, practical guidance, and community building, we can address the common challenges parents face and offer practical solutions. In the end, investing in empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices is a crucial aspect of early childhood education. It lays a solid foundation for children's overall development and prepares them for the challenges ahead. As we continue to support and empower parents, we pave the way for a brighter and more successful future for our children.

𝑒nhypen x fem!reader ⚹ cw: each member ranges from 5-1k wc, fluff, lowercase intended, they swear, crying, uh someone kneels, not proud w heejake's 😞, not proofread ( lmk if i missed something! )
synopsis : upon learning that you were merely the stake in a bet, they wasted no time in mending your relationship.
part one !
★ LEE HEESEUNG ( 0.8k wc )
"y/n wait!"
heeseung's voice only made you walk faster. you didn't want to humiliate yourself further by stopping and talking to him. all you wanted to do now was to just march out of the school, go home, lock yourself in your room and maybe eat a tub of ice cream while you ugly cry yourself to sleep.
"y/n, please." heeseung pleaded, taking your elbow in his grasp as he spun you around and pulling you closer to the point you can feel his breath on fanning your nose.
he looked at you pleadingly. "it's okay," you managed to say in a shaky voice. "i understand, you can all laugh at me all you want now-" he shook his head, "it's okay really!" you added, pursing your lips.
"i just want to be left alone now okay?" and even if he knew you didn't mean just 'now.' he'll respect your wishes and let you go, but he won't give up.
heeseung watched you walk away from him with a heavy heart, wanting nothing but to just explain everything to you before it was too late. he couldn't lose you, not like this.
when he couldn't see your figure anymore, he messily messed his hair and made his way back to the gym eager to teach a guy how to not spit nonsense.
it's been a week since that happened and a week since he's seen you in the school. he asked some of your classmates and club members but all he received were nasty glares and short cold answers. what happened between the two of you spread like wild fire the following day you walked away from him. everyone knew you were kind of a nerd, but they also knew you were a complete angel and had a heart soft as a pillow.
they also knew that betting on a person's feeling isn't exactly it. — more under the cut!
so throughout that week too, his popularity decreased day by day. he used to receive heart eyes on the hallways and joyful 'good morning, heeseung!'s by random students, now all he received were judgemental glances and they avoided him like a plague, scared to be the next target of a cruel bet.
he didn't care though, all he cared about was your wellbeing. it's been a week and you've still yet to show up to class, so imagine his surprise when you suddenly walk in to the room with your usual hair do, your bag slung over on your shoulder and your glasses almost falling off your nose bridge.
he sat up straighter, gulping as his eyes followed your every move. he could feel hear heart beating louder, as if it was calling for you, desperate to be near you again.
he needed to fix this, asap.
it felt like forever before heeseung heard the bell ring. as soon as he heard the annoying sound, he messily packed up his things and ran after you.
"y/n!" your forearm was then again grabbed by him. although this time, he turned you slowly. heeseung silently admired your face. he missed you so much.
"let me explain, please. it's not what you think. i promise." he whispered, vulnerability in his tone. the simple nod you gave was his signal to interlace his fingers with yours as he looked for an empty room.
you ignored the looks everyone threw your way, either worried and judging. all you could focus on was his warm hand on yours and how you missed it so much, you didn't even realize you both were now inside an empty classroom.
"there was no bet." you furrowed your brows, looking at him with mixed confusion and frustration. "i promise, there was no bet."
"why would they say that then?"
"i don't know, but i promise there's no bet. throughout the months we've been together everything i've said was real." he said, desperate.
heeseung stepped closer.
"what i felt for you was real," he scrambled to get his phone from his pocket, opening his messages app. "you can go through my phone all you want, ask any of my friends-" you raised a brow.
"not those friends! i mean sunghoon, jay, jungwon.. you know." your raised brow made him sputter. "to be completely honest, they've been ignoring me after they heard about what happened.."
you looked at him hesitantly as you scrolled through his messages with shaking hands. you scrolled for so long, you even reached to the messages months before you both got together.
he didn't have any messages to his basketball team group chat unless it was announcements from his coach. the group chat with his actual friends were only filled with his pining over 'the girl on the back of his biology class.'
"heeseung.."
"there's no bet, baby. i'd never do that to anyone." he whispered, stepping closer. "i can't lose you like this.. i love you."
you sniffled as you came crashing on his chest, letting tears fall again. heeseung immediately wrapped his arms around you, sighing in relief as he finally have you back in his arms.
"i was so worried baby." he mumbled, kissing your head.
"i love you forever. i'll kill everyone who tries to get in between us again," heeseung pulled you closer if it was even possible.
"and if they do, i'll make sure to fix everything even if it means the whole world would hate me."
★ PARK JONGSEONG ( 1.0k wc )
jay was confused.
the both of you had a very well planned date tonight, so he was utterly puzzled to see that you weren't responding to his messages. for heaven's sake, you didn't even read his messages, he was just left in delivered.
he had tried calling multiple times but was only met with your automated voice telling him to leave a voice message. it came to the point that he had enough and decided to drive to your house.
throughout the drive, jay wondered what could've happened. he couldn't think of anything that would make you upset like this, he hoped that you just fell asleep and forgot to have your alarm on.
walking up the porch of your house, jay rang the doorbell and was met with your mom who opened the door with furrowed brows when she laid her eyes on him.
"good afternoon mrs. l/n, is y/n home?" your mother's frown deepened, hesitantly looking at the stairs behind her before looking back at him. "i'm sorry jay, she said she doesn't want to see you?"
that caused jay to furrow his brows as well. "wha- may i ask why?"
"i was hoping you'd tell me." if jay was confused a while ago, he was even more confused now and frustrated.
"can i see her, please?" he pleads, the older woman hesitantly opened the door wider to invite him in, and before he could ascend up the stairs, your mom stopped him.
"jay.." he looked back. "i don't know what happened to you both but take it easy on her, alright? she's been crying, i can tell." jay gulped and only nodded, sending your mom a pursed smile.
he knocked on your bedroom door, when no response came, he tried to turn the knob and was thankful that it wasn't locked.
jay slowly opened your door, seeing you curled on one corner of your bed as your body shook from your sobs you tried to keep silent.
he could feel his heart break at the sight. stepping a foot inside the room, he mentally cursed at himself when he accidentally bumped on to your mirror causing your head to shoot up in alarm at the sound.
your already glassy eyes was once again filled with tears as your eyes met his. jay barely dodged the pillow you threw at him, screaming at him to "go away and never show your face to me again."
jay frowned and came closer until he was sat on the edge of your bed, ignoring the words you just shouted at him.
"baby.. what's- what's wrong?" he asked, attempting to hold your hand but you retracted it and tried to throw another pillow at him. he swiftly caught it and brought it back down gently beside you.
"was it worth the one month of free car wash?" you spat through hiccups. jay stayed silent, confused.
"of course it probably was, that's what you do right?" the sight of your swollen and red face kept breaking his heart, he was still confused on what you were talking about but he'll let you talk.
this way he knew how he'd make things better.
"make me fall in love with you in exchange of a month's free of car wash.." you muttered, your eyes still boring on to his. at your words, it finally clicked. "..am i really worth just that much?" another sob.
right, he had forgotten to end the call when his 'friend' came barging into his apartment. you had probably heard all the nonsense the guy sputtered.. but surely you must've heard the way he defended your relationship and swore at that him too?
"i thought.. high school days were done jay. please just leave me alone now. you got what you want." jay shook his head, coming closer and pulling your body to his.
he wrapped his arms around you, his hand rubbing your back as you sobbed hard. he didn't try stopping you when he felt your weak punches that you threw at his chest, his own tears clouding his vision but he didn't dare make them fall.
"you got it all wrong, baby." he whispered, rubbing your nape as your face now rested against the crook of his neck. he ignored the wetness there. "i'm guessing you overheard the conversation with sungjae?"
you nodded, now calmer but not pulling away.
"did you also hear the way i told him to drop the stupid bet he kept insisting to happen? the way i kicked him out of my apartment?" you stayed silent, only sniffling as a response.
jay sighed, wrapping his arm around your waist tighter and pulling you closer.
"the whole campus knows sungjae's an asshole, baby. he was a jerk who thought that being a dick to others were entertaining, and i guess that's why i was like that back in high school.. i wanted to be accepted in their group."
"but we're in college now, i left that group but somehow sungjae's here and is pathetically still stuck in the past." he pulled your face from his neck, cupping your cheek and wiping away your tears.
"i've loved you since high school.. and there's no bet, baby. the moment he had found out i was dating you, he kept bringing up a bet about how long we would last.. but i always shut him out, told him to cut it out and that there will be no bet happening, especially if you're the one getting betted on."
new fresh tears come rolling down your cheek, this time they were tears of relief. glad to know that everything was real, that you weren't just a toy.
"you promise you'll cut him off starting now?" you whispered, looking at him with big glassy eyes.
"i've cut him since high school, y/n. it's him who's keep clinging to me. but i promise he won't be saying anything about the both of us anymore." jay pressed your foreheads together, pressing a soft peck on your lips.
"you will forever be the prettiest and the only one i'll ever love this much in this world, my baby."
★ SIM JAEYUN ( 0.5k wc )
jake watched you run away in confusion, staring at the laughing crowd and turning to look at your locker only to be met with the note he has been telling everyone to throw away.
he angrily took it from your locker, ripping the small paper into pieces. "how many times have i told you to cut this shit out? do you want me to report all of you for harassment and bullying?" he raised his voice at the crowd who had stopped their laughter.
"that's what i thought." he frowned, pushing past them and running after you.
jake knew what everyone was doing the moment it spread that he was dating you. he had received dms telling him he could do better and if he was merely toying with your feelings.
he had told them countless times to drop it, even going far as to almost punch the person who has created the bets if it wasn't for sunoo holding him back. he had hoped that it wouldn't reach you. it was another one of his reasons on why he always went to school earlier, just in case it was placed on your locker. unfortunately, you were earlier than him today.
it's not like he was tolerating it, he had tried countless times to report it but they'd only say it was probably only for fun and he shouldn't take jokes seriously.
but jokes were meant to be funny, right?
jake opened the door that lead to the rooftop slowly, peeking his head to look if you were there. to his luck, you were.
your back faced him while your bag was placed down carelessly beside your feet. jake approached slowly, not wanting to overwhelm you further.
"baby?" he mumbled loud enough for you to hear. you turned your head towards him, showing him your tear stained cheeks. "oh, y/n." he sighed and held your cheeks, wiping away the salty liquid off your precious face.
"jake.. why are you dating me, of all people?" you ask through tears, avoiding his eyes.
jake's eyes softened, he dated you because you were different from everyone who wanted to be like the everyone else, did that make sense? you were your own person, you didn't care about social status, wealth, his circle of friends, and whether someone was good looking or not. you were soft hearted, to the point that you had let others take advantage of that leading them to walking all over you.
and he hated that.
"why not you?" he said softly, tilting your chin up so that you could meet his eyes. "you're everything i've ever needed."
"you can tell the truth." you mutter, looking at jake. his mouth formed a pout, heart broken at the way you had so little love for yourself.
"i am telling the truth, baby." he whispers, taking your hands and placing them on his face before putting his own hands back on yours. "everything is a joke to them when i'm involved." you whisper, ignoring the way your voice broke.
"we don't care about what they think, they're all just jealous. everything we've been through and what i feel for you are real, no jokes." he smiled, pulling you closer to him.
"you promise?"
"baby i'd choose you over anyone in this world over and over again until the heavens above is tired of me."
★ PARK SUNGHOON (0.7k wc)
sunghoon frowned, confused and hurt. he wanted to fix whatever happened, so he took his phone from the couch and his car keys from the wooden bowl in his foyer.
it was when he was in the elevator that he noticed his phone was open. his breath hitched, finally knowing the reason for your departure and choice of words. sunghoon quickly left the group chat and started dialing your number.
it was true that you were a bet. were. he didn't even know why he agreed, maybe because he wanted so badly to fit in. he didn't want a repeat of middle school, so instead of being the bullied and made fun of, he was now the one doing those to others. he wasn't proud of it at the slightest.
that doesn't excuse his actions though. the longer he spent time with you, the deeper he fell. sunghoon never planned for you to find out this way, he already had a plan. first he had to get rid of his 'friends', tell you everything then ask you if you still wanted him to meet your parents.
guilt always ate him alive whenever you would stay over and sleep by his side. he couldn't bring himself to meet your family knowing he hasn't told you everything and the truth.
he felt like his heart would jump out of his chest as he stood infront of the door of your house. if he died tonight on the hands of either your father or older brother, he'd welcome death with open arms.
i deserve it.
he audibly gulped when the door opened, revealing.. you. the way your brows furrowed at the sight of him tightened his chest. he stopped you before you could even close the door on him.
"y/n please, let me explain everything.. o-okay?" the way his voice cracked and the unshed tears in his eyes almost made you give in, but upon remembering what you've read, the anger in you was back.
"explain what?" you spat, turning to look over your shoulder before back at him. "that all those months i've spent loving you," you pointed at him harshly. "was just for entertainment? tell me, what was in it for you, huh?"
sunghoon shook his head, the tears now flowing down his pale cheeks. "no, no! i promise, please i love you." he reached out but you stepped back, biting your lip as you held back the tears.
"just.. leave me alone sunghoon," he felt his heart crack even more. "you've had your fun, you can laugh about i all you want now." you were taken aback when he knelt infront of you, hugging your waist as he sobbed.
"what the-" sunghoon tightened his grip on you, muttering along the words of 'im sorry', 'never meant to be like this', and something along the lines of regretting something.
"sunghoon- oh my god." you groaned as you descended to face him. "please, i didn't mean to. i-" he hiccuped, "i'm sorry, i know it was stupid and there's no reason for me to accept the bet- but i just wanted to fit in. i wanted them to take me as a part of their circle- but, but i soon realized that it was stupid." he looked at you with swollen eyes, desperation swam in his dark irises.
"because i realized that hurting you isn't worth being a part of their asshole group. it started with a bet, i admit, but i truly love you, please believe me." a sob made its way out his throat as he clung into you, his arms circling your neck. "it wasn't a lie whenever i said i'd meet your parents, i was constantly trying to get rid of them first before i met your family, i didn't want to meet them until i've told you the complete truth."
your own tears descended down your cheeks, your heart hurting for yourself and sunghoon. you stayed on the floor wrapped around each other for a moment before you both helped each other up to your feet, he looked at you intensely with red bloodshot eyes. "i'm sorry, i understand if you don't want anything to do with me anymore."
"i understand hoon," you whispered, bringing your hands to cup his face. "but you have to understand too that i can't trust you fully right up again." he nodded, putting his own hands on yours as he kissed your palms.
"i know.. and i'll spent the rest of my life earning it again. i love you."

Pluto in the 4th House
Pluto in the 4th house individuals make their greatest impact through family and emotional bonds. They are nurturing, deeply connected, and create relationships that feel like family, even outside of blood ties. Their bonds are never superficial—when they connect with someone, it’s meaningful, comforting, and lasting.
These individuals often attract people with difficult or dysfunctional family backgrounds. aether & ash - emergence.

Route: Toji & Nanami - Combined (Introductions)
Word count: 5.2k
Warnings: Mentions of injury.
Masterlist | Read the previous part for Sukuna & Choso here.

It was, by all accounts, a beautiful day. The sun hung high and radiant in a perfectly cloudless sky, casting golden light over the ancient spires and sweeping courtyards of Erythraen Academy. A gentle breeze rustled through the trees that dotted the campus, carrying the faint, melodic chirping of birds. Students lounged on sun-warmed stone benches, books in laps or laughter spilling out in bursts of idle conversation. The Academy grounds felt alive, practically humming with energy.
And yet, instead of enjoying the rare calm of the weekend, you were stuck dragging your feet behind a crowd of overly-enthusiastic first-years on a scheduled campus tour.
Two days ago, Headmaster Delacroix had cornered you just outside the dining hall, one hand on your shoulder and the other holding a clipboard filled with what you now realized had been your doom.
“You’ll be joining one of the orientation tours this Saturday,” he’d said in that perpetually chipper voice of his, the one that was beginning to grate on your nerves.
Your first thought had been: What in the hell for?
Your second: Don’t first-years get the whole tour during their first week?
You’d voiced the latter out loud, hoping for an out. Delacroix had only chuckled, his shoulders lifting in a good-natured shrug. “Most of the time, yes. But in the first couple of months, we like to run additional tours. You’d be surprised how many students don’t learn where Lumen’s Sanctum is until they’re in the process of bleeding half to death or spend months not realizing there’s a closer bathroom right down the hall from their classrooms.”
And so, here you were. Trailing at the very back of the tour group, baking beneath the afternoon sun, surrounded by the chatter of wide-eyed first-years who clearly hadn’t discovered the soul-crushing reality of homework yet. The two staff members leading the tour looked about as thrilled to be here as you felt. One kept glancing at their pocket watch every three minutes. The other hadn’t stopped yawning since you left Aether.
You had, at least, taken some liberties with your participation. You’d entirely skipped the portion of the tour for House Nocturne—you lived there, after all. You’d also ducked out during parts of the central campus walk-through, including the Celestial Observatory and the student commons. You already knew where those were, courtesy of your own wandering. You weren’t completely lost all the time.
The tour had since wound its way through the various sanctums—Nocturne, Solara, Umbra—and had just finished up with Aether. You were honestly glad to be done with that one. The whole Sanctum was suspended on floating islands connected by glittering starlight bridges, and even though it was objectively stunning, the sensation of walking over what looked like clouds and illusion magic made your stomach churn. You silently thanked whatever Gods were listening that you’d ended up in House Nocturne, where at least the ground didn’t feel like it was about to vanish beneath your feet.
It was approaching three in the afternoon now, and the once-charming warmth of the day had turned into a stifling heat. Sweat was beading at the nape of your neck, sliding down your back beneath your shirt. Your feet ached, your head throbbed, and of course the tour’s next destination was the hottest, most sweltering part of the entire Academy.
House Ignis.
Even deeper in the mountain than Nocturne, Ignis was built into the heart of the caldera itself. Rivers of lava flowed like molten veins through caverns of obsidian and jagged stone, geysers hissed and spewed steam at random intervals, and the air always carried the acrid tang of sulfur and heat. It was a place carved from fire and forged in discipline, and from what you’d gathered, the students who called it home wore their toughness like armor.
You hadn’t interacted with anyone from Ignis personally, though then again, you hadn’t interacted with many students outside of Nocturne at all, save for Choso, who had somehow become a steady and welcome presence during the after-class hours you spent in the Abyssal Archives. Still, from what you’d observed, Ignis students were loud, confrontational, and built like they were constantly on the verge of challenging someone to a sparring match. Or a wrestling contest. Or maybe both at once.
You wiped a bead of sweat from your brow as the stone beneath your feet began to warm with the telltale signs that you were getting closer.
Great. Just what you needed.
A guided sauna experience.
You knew you were entering the Ignis Sanctum the moment the massive statue of their house mascot came into view. Towering at what you had to guess was nearly 10 feet tall, the gryphon loomed at the mouth of the Sanctum’s entrance, casting a long, intimidating shadow across the obsidian walkway. Its wings were half-spread in a regal, frozen pose, talons embedded deep into a jagged plinth of smoothed volcanic stone.
The entire sculpture had been chiseled from reinforced obsidian and basalt, veins of cooled magma snaking across its surface like battle scars. But it was the eyes that truly captured attention: glowing with a molten red light, like liquid fire trapped behind the carved lids. You were almost certain they were enchanted, their steady, pulsing glow far too lifelike to be natural.
The heat hit you in waves as you passed beneath the gryphon’s outstretched wings, like stepping into a furnace with every step forward. The temperature down here was on another level. Suffocating and thick, with a constant undercurrent of steam and sulfur wafting up from vents and fissures in the ground.
“Okay, everyone! Stay close together, please!” chirped one of the guides, a tall woman with her hair frizzed out from the humidity. Her bright, chipper voice didn’t quite mask the way she dabbed sweat from her temples or how her smile looked a little too tight around the edges. “Ignis has plenty of magical wards and structural protections in place, so you don’t need to worry about falling into lava or anything too dramatic. But still, let’s be mindful! We’re guests in this Sanctum, after all.”
A ripple of nervous energy spread through the group. The cluster of first-years instantly tightened formation, several of them glancing around at the winding rivers of lava glowing faintly through cracks in the stone floor. The fear on their faces was almost comical, like they thought they'd spontaneously combust if they so much as stepped wrong.
You had to bite back a laugh. They hadn’t looked nearly as terrified floating over bottomless sky-voids in Aether, and that had been a waking nightmare. Lava, at least, stayed on the ground.
Still, you inched closer to the group, not out of fear, but because the last thing you needed was to draw the attention of the tour guides. You weren’t trying to stand out, not here, not now. The sooner this tour ended, the better.
As the group ventured further into the heart of the Sanctum, the scenery shifted into glowing walls of tempered glass revealing magma chambers below, overhead steel walkways suspended by thick iron chains, and thick columns of dark rock reinforced with runes to keep the structure stable. The air buzzed with a kind of raw energy, vibrant and visceral.
Then came the sounds: clashing steel ringing out rhythmically, mingled with bursts of laughter, grunts of exertion, and the occasional cheer or shout. Somewhere deeper within the Sanctum, students were sparring. You could hear the unmistakable tempo of practice fights; blades meeting blades, bodies slamming into padded mats, the bark of an instructor keeping cadence.
Of course they were training. It was the weekend, after all. What else would House Ignis do with their free time but hone their bodies and burn off their energy in combat?
Out of the corner of your eye, a flash of vibrant pink hair caught your attention, a painfully familiar shade that immediately set off alarm bells in your mind. Your whole body tensed on instinct, breath hitching slightly as your head turned just enough to confirm what you already dreaded.
You’d been dodging Sukuna like your life depended on it for the past week, ever since that encounter in the Abyssal Archives. You hadn’t even hesitated to burn the note he sent with his ridiculous message and that stupidly drawn winky face.
Tossed it into a candle the second you were back in your dorm and watched it curl into ash. Since then, Sukuna had made more than a few attempts to corner you: passing glances in the halls, appearing at places you swore he shouldn’t be, lingering a little too long at the edges of your vision; but so far, you’d managed to avoid direct confrontation.
Bracing yourself for yet another unwanted encounter, you turned fully, narrowing your eyes and preparing a verbal arsenal of biting comebacks.
Only to be met not with that smug, infuriating grin, but with a completely different energy altogether.
The boy with the same pink hair had a bright, open face and wide, honey-brown eyes that sparkled with warmth. He looked like the human embodiment of a golden retriever: enthusiastic, a little clumsy in presence, but somehow disarming. His smile was genuine, radiating good intentions, and he looked nothing like the smirking bastard you’d been expecting, aside from the unmistakable hair color. It was enough to make you pause.
Was he related to Sukuna too?
“Hi, Yuji!” chirped one of the tour guides, her face lighting up when she spotted him jogging over to the group. She looked both surprised and relieved by his presence. “Did you need something?”
The boy—Yuji, apparently—grinned, his cheeks dimpling as he waved a hand dismissively. “Nah, just thought I’d tag along! Y’know, in case anyone had questions or got lost or something.”
The guide chuckled and turned back to the group. “This is Yuji, everyone. He’s a second-year and a member of House Ignis.”
A murmur of polite greetings followed, but your eyes stayed on him. He fell into step at the back of the group, right near you, his movements relaxed and casual. You made a conscious effort to ignore him as the tour resumed, but your efforts were in vain, because after only a few minutes, he turned toward you.
“Hi, I’m Yuji!” he said brightly, with that same warm smile.
You raised an eyebrow, expression carefully neutral. “Yeah. I gathered that.”
He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck in a way that was so endearingly awkward it almost made you feel bad. “Right, sorry! I just wanted to properly introduce myself.”
You blinked. Why? Why did he care?
You tilted your head slightly, the question slipping out before you could stop it. “Why?”
Yuji laughed softly, like he’d been expecting that. “I mean… I’m sure you’ve heard it already, but news about new students travels fast. And, uh… my brother’s mentioned you a few times.”
Your brows rose slightly. His brother? You narrowed your eyes again, cautious. “And who’s your brother?”
“Choso!” he said, a little too proudly, as if that alone should clear things up.
Relief flooded through your chest like a cool breeze. Not Sukuna. Thank the Gods. Though the resemblance still itched at your brain, since he didn’t look like Choso at all. His eyes, his smile, the shape of his face… they were a dead ringer for the person you’d gone out of your way to avoid.
Yuji must have caught the confusion in your expression because he added, “Choso and I are half-brothers. Different dads.”
Ah. That explained it. If he and Sukuna shared a father, and Choso didn’t, then it all made sense. You nodded, relaxing your shoulders just slightly.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Yuji,” you said finally. “Choso’s mentioned you a few times, actually.”
It was true. In the handful of brief interactions you’d had with Choso over the last week in the Archives, he had brought up his younger brother on more than one occasion. Never by name, but always with a fondness that made it clear just how much he cared. You didn’t know much about Yuji yet, but judging by that bright smile and the easy way he carried himself, you could tell that affection went both ways.
“I’m sure he has,” Yuji said with a light laugh, his voice warm and easygoing. He slid his hands into the pockets of his red jacket like it was the middle of a breezy autumn afternoon, not the lava-simmering sauna that was the Ignis Sanctum.
You glanced at him sideways, baffled. How the hell was he wearing that in here? You were sweating through your shirt, and he looked like he could curl up in a blanket and still be comfortable.
“Anyway,” he continued, completely unaffected by the heat, “if you ever need anything—directions, help with assignments, someone to walk you somewhere—I’m usually around. Just say the word!”
There was something about the sincerity in his voice that made it difficult to brush off. No hidden motives, no calculated charm, just a guy genuinely offering to help. You gave him a small smile, appreciating the sentiment despite your instinct to keep people at arm’s length.
“Thanks,” you replied, nodding. “I’ll remember that.”
The conversation trailed off naturally after that as the tour group came to a slow halt near the edge of the largest sparring arena in the Sanctum. The moment your eyes landed on the pit, any lingering thoughts of conversation vanished.
Two Ignis students were already in the midst of a match, going at it with such raw intensity that it was almost jarring. The clang of steel against steel echoed through the air, each blow laced with enough force to send sparks flying. You couldn’t even tell if they were fighting seriously or if this was just sparring—because if it was, it was unlike any sparring session you’d ever seen. Their movements were aggressive, precise, and brutally fast, almost like a dance choreographed by chaos itself.
It was both mesmerizing and mildly terrifying.
The two duelists shared enough similarities that you could tell they were likely related. Both possessed sharp green eyes that burned with intensity and focus, and both had dark hair, though the man's was slightly tousled while the woman’s was pulled back into a high, no-nonsense ponytail that swung with every strike.
The man was towering, easily over six feet tall, with a broad chest and muscular frame that showed years of rigorous training. Every movement he made was precise and explosive, his toned arms flexing as he wielded his blade with terrifying ease. As you observed him more closely, you noticed a thin scar tracing the corner of his mouth, faint but distinct.
His eyes were narrowed in deadly focus, lips curled into a sneer, and teeth clenched in a silent growl. Despite his size, he moved with a speed that felt inhuman.
His opponent, though much smaller in stature, was equally commanding. She was compact and agile, her lithe frame seemingly built more for speed and finesse than brute force. Her dark ponytail whipped through the air as she struck and dodged with terrifying grace. Every step she took, every calculated shift of her body, reminded you of a predator—fluid, sharp, and deadly. She moved like a cobra, uncoiling with lightning-quick precision, her strikes aimed not just to block, but to disable.
Yuji leaned in slightly, his voice kept just above a whisper, clearly trying not to disturb the rest of the group as they watched the intense sparring match unfold. “The guy is Toji Fushiguro,” he murmured, nodding subtly toward the taller of the two fighters. “And the girl is Maki Zenin. Toji’s a third-year—scary strong—and Maki’s in my year. Technically, they’re both from the Zenin family, but... well, it’s complicated. Toji’s father basically cut him, his mom, and his brother off from the family when they were still kids.”
You blinked, your eyes flicking between the two combatants again with renewed interest. That explained the similar features, then—the shared eyes, the dark hair, the matching fire in their expressions. But it didn’t explain how Yuji knew so much.
“How do you know that?” you asked, your tone more curious than skeptical as you glanced up at him.
Yuji perked up, his usual brightness flickering through despite the heat. “Oh! Toji’s younger brother, Megumi? He’s my best friend.” He said it with some sort of pride, like that one connection explained everything. And maybe it did; Yuji seemed like the kind of guy who made friends quickly, and then held onto them with everything he had.
You hummed in understanding, offering Yuji a small nod before shifting your focus back to the sparring match. The air around the arena was thick with anticipation, the heat of the Ignis Sanctum adding an almost electric tension to the already charged environment.
Everyone around you seemed entirely absorbed in the match—the way Maki struck like a whip, the way Toji moved like a beast unleashed—so much so that nobody noticed when Toji summoned a surge of flame in his palm, hurling it straight toward his opponent.
Except Maki dodged.
Easily.
And then the fireball was no longer aimed at her.
You didn’t even have time to think. Your instincts kicked in just a heartbeat too late, your hand snapping up to conjure a barrier of shadow—a flickering, half-formed shield of dark tendrils curling upward in a desperate attempt to protect yourself. It absorbed most of the blast, but not all of it. The fireball slammed into the barrier with a dull thwump! shattering against it like a wave crashing on rock. Still, the heat tore through, licking past the edges and searing across your forearm.
The pain was immediate.
White-hot.
Blinding.
You gasped, the sound tearing from your throat as you stumbled backward. A hiss escaped your clenched teeth, and your vision tilted, the edges going dark and static-rimmed as your hand hovered over the scorched skin. You barely registered the horrified gasps from the group or the way the world around you muffled into a low buzz, like someone had thrown a blanket over reality. You swayed where you stood, body reacting faster than your mind could catch up.
Yuji was suddenly at your side, arms steadying you before your legs could fully give out. His voice, low and frantic, cut through the noise like a lifeline, grounding you.
“Hey—hey, it’s okay, I’ve got you. You’re alright,” he said, voice taut with concern.
You leaned into his support, focusing on breathing through the pain, through the heat, through the burn that pulsed with every heartbeat. Slowly, the world came back into focus, first the sharp metallic tang of scorched air, then the blurred shapes of the people around you.
One of the first-years looked green in the face, clearly seconds away from retching. That, at least, was a welcome distraction.
Your gaze dragged upward to meet the wide-eyed expressions of the tour guides, who had rushed over in panic, and then to the familiar green-eyed pair now looking down at you: Toji and Maki, both having stopped their sparring, their weapons forgotten in the dust behind them.
“Shit, ’m sorry, you okay?” Toji asked, already ducking under the low chain separating the sparring platform from the onlookers. His voice was gruff, edged with guilt, and he looked genuinely stricken as he stepped in front of you, palm outstretched.
Still shaky, you extended your injured arm toward him without speaking.
He took it gently in his hands, tilting it for a better look at the scorched skin. His jaw clenched. “Damn... You took that like a champ,” he muttered under his breath. “Most people would’ve blacked out from a burn like this. You need a healer. Now.”
Yuji stepped in again, his grip firm but careful as he glanced toward the tour guides. “I’ll take her to Lumen,” he offered quickly. “That’s your next stop anyway, right? If she’s healed up by the time you get there, she can just meet back up with the group.”
The guides exchanged quick nods, clearly relieved that someone was stepping in to take control of the situation. Without wasting a moment, Yuji gently adjusted his grip on you and began leading you away from the growing crowd, his pace steady but careful not to jostle you too much.
As you walked, Yuji launched into a series of bad jokes and animated anecdotes, talking almost nonstop in an effort to distract you. He recounted how he'd once tripped headfirst into a fountain during training, and how it took a week to get the fish smell out of his hair, how Megumi had threatened to drown him in a different fountain if he ever did it again. You barely caught half of what he said, your mind fogged over with the ache pulsing in your burned arm, but the effort wasn’t lost on you.
It helped. Even if just a little.
The heat of Ignis faded with every step, giving way to cooler air and the gentle scent of blooming flowers. And then, you saw it.
The Lumen Sanctum rose before you like something out of a dream.
It was breathtaking, with towering white marble walls that gleamed under shafts of golden sunlight, interwoven with vines of ivy and flowering plants that spilled from high terraces and wrapped around carved columns and elegant archways. Every surface seemed to glow with a soft luminescence, as though the entire Sanctum was kissed by the sun and blessed by something ancient and pure.
At the heart of the expansive courtyard was a massive stag statue sculpted from pristine white marble, so lifelike it seemed like it could move at any moment. Its silver antlers shimmered with a soft internal light, like liquid moonlight frozen in time. Out of all the Sanctums, Lumen’s was by far the most beautiful.
Yuji didn’t pause to admire it, though. He clearly knew the layout well, navigating you through the tranquil, open-air corridors that wrapped around inner gardens and shallow pools. The water in those pools was so clear it mirrored the sky perfectly, and koi fish swam lazily beneath lotus blossoms.
Eventually, you reached a secluded garden space, where a large koi pond circled a raised platform. In the center stood a gazebo made of the same radiant marble, its domed roof entwined with flowering vines and the soft hum of gentle enchantments. A curved bridge connected the gazebo’s small island to the rest of the walkway, and Yuji guided you across it without hesitation.
As your feet touched the other side, a calm, feminine voice called out from within.
“Yuji? How can I help you?”
You both looked up to find a woman seated beneath the gazebo, her posture relaxed but alert. She sat at a wide table that looked more clinical than decorative, lined with neat rows of crystal vials, gauze, healing stones, and glowing sigils etched into the surface.
The space was peaceful but unmistakably functional. It made sense, really—Lumen’s Sanctum wasn’t just a place of beauty and peace; it doubled as a healing ward, and the gazebo clearly served as one of its many informal triage stations. A mix of nature and care, serenity and structure. It was odd, but fitting.
Yuji nodded in greeting, his voice light but edged with concern. “Ah, my friend here got burned during the tour of Ignis. Caught a fireball that wasn’t meant for her.”
You wordlessly pulled away the cloth you’d been using to cover your arm, revealing the angry red burn still pulsing with heat.
The woman rose from her seat the moment she saw your injury, crossing the marble floor to stand before you. Her eyes, a tired but perceptive shade of brown, flicked down to your arm as she gently took it in her hands. Her touch was clinical but not cold, surprisingly gentle as she turned your wrist slightly, inspecting the raw, blistering burn.
“Well,” she murmured, her voice low and soothing as a breeze through tall grass, “Nanami will be back shortly with more gauze. But for now, let’s get this cleaned and stabilized before it gets worse.”
“Thanks, Shoko,” Yuji chimed in from behind you, his voice a little softer now, more respectful. He took a few steps back, giving her space, though you could still feel his gaze lingering, concerned but not intrusive.
For the next ten minutes, Shoko worked quickly but effectively. She guided you to sit on one of the cushioned benches lining the gazebo, rolling up your sleeve and carefully dabbing at the burn with a cool, herbal-scented solution that immediately took the edge off the sting.
She applied a golden salve next, something that shimmered faintly in the sunlight, and as she smoothed it over the wound with her fingertips, you felt a tingle—a soft, internal hum—as if the magic was gently knitting your skin back together. Not fully, though. The worst of the burn was dulled, but not gone.
“Why can’t you heal it all the way?” you asked, your voice hushed, half from the pain and half from not wanting to disturb the quiet atmosphere in the gazebo.
Shoko offered a small shrug as she continued working. “I’m still training. My healing magic only works up to a certain threshold. I can stabilize injuries, close wounds, maybe ease internal damage, but... full restoration? That’s above my current pay grade.”
You nodded slowly, your curiosity tempered by the dull throb in your arm and the overwhelming calm of the garden around you.
From the corner of your eye, you saw Yuji shift suddenly, posture straightening, face lighting up with a flicker of recognition and eagerness. The way his expression changed was almost comical—if he had floppy ears and a tail, they’d be at full attention.
A moment later, the reason for his excitement stepped into view.
A tall, broad-shouldered man entered the gazebo, sunlight catching on his short, neat blond hair and the frames of his glasses. His expression was unreadable, though the hard line of his jaw and the subtle squint of his eyes said enough—he was assessing, calculating, already drawing conclusions before a word had even been spoken.
You felt yourself tense slightly as his gaze swept over you and Shoko, finally landing on your injured arm.
“What happened?” he asked, voice low and even. Without waiting for an answer, he stepped up beside Shoko.
“She got burned while touring Ignis,” Shoko explained calmly as she took the neatly folded gauze from the man, who you realize must be Nanami, and resumed tending to your arm.
Nanami said nothing, simply watching her work with practiced detachment. You could feel his gaze on you, but it wasn’t invasive. More like he was mentally cataloging your condition, filing it away like a case note.
Shoko moved with the same steady hands she’d used the entire time, winding the gauze smoothly around your arm, layering it with gentle but firm pressure to protect the injury and keep the ointment in place. The cloth was soft, surprisingly cool, and the way she secured it with a slim strip of medical tape was quick and clean, like she’d done this exact motion a thousand times.
“There,” she said, stepping back and wiping her hands on a nearby cloth. “You should be good for now.”
You pushed yourself up from the bench slowly, testing the stiffness in your arm as you stretched. The pain was dulled now, manageable, though you could still feel the heat pulsing beneath the gauze.
“Thank you,” you murmured, offering her a tired but genuine smile. “I really appreciate it.”
Shoko gave a small nod, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Yeah, no problem. Just… be more careful next time, alright? Ignis is beautiful, but it’s also dangerous if you’re not paying attention. That said, if you ever need healing again, Lumen Sanctum is always open. You’re welcome anytime.”
She gestured toward a small, glimmering crystal embedded in the nearest marble column. “And if Nanami or I aren’t here, just press that button. It’ll send out a call to whichever one of us is closest.”
You glanced at the crystal, noting how it glowed faintly. Convenient.
Yuji stepped forward again with a grin. “Yeah, seriously. Come to them. Lumen students actually get graded on how many patients they help each quarter, so a lot of them try to build up, like, regulars. Repeat visits are basically gold stars for their records.”
You raised an eyebrow at that. Leave it to the Academy to turn medical care into another thing to tally on a rubric. Still… it kind of made sense.
You nodded in acknowledgment, fingers gently brushing over the fresh gauze. “I’ll remember that, too.” Your voice came out a little hoarse, the weight of the afternoon finally catching up to you. A long breath pushed past your lips as you closed your eyes, rolling your neck from one side to the other. The motion drew a few subtle pops from your tight muscles, and you winced slightly before relaxing. “For now, I think it’s time I head back to Nocturne. Maybe take a nap… or sleep for the next year.”
“I’ll walk with you!” Yuji chimed in cheerfully before you could even think of refusing. “I have to pass Nocturne to get back to Ignis anyway, so I might as well.”
You almost argued with him. Almost, but you decided against it. You would be lying if you said you disliked his company.
Before you could take a step, Nanami cleared his throat to catch your attention, his voice low as he extended something to you. “Before you go,” he said, placing a small clay pot into your hands, “apply this salve to the burn. Gently, twice a day. Change the bandages each time. Do not skip. If the wound worsens—redness, swelling, or heat—come back immediately.”
You accepted it with both hands, nodding solemnly. The pot was cool to the touch, sealed with wax and tied with a bit of twine, a faint scent of herbs already drifting from the lid. “Thank you. Again. For everything.”
Nanami gave you a quiet look of acknowledgment, somewhere between a nod and an appraisal, then stepped back beside Shoko.
You stepped carefully out of the gazebo, the heels of your shoes clicking lightly against the smooth marble bridge. Your eyes wandered to the koi pond below, its waters calm and crystalline, lily pads swaying gently as the colorful fish swam beneath the surface in lazy spirals. For a brief moment, the stillness helped ease both the throbbing in your arm and the storm in your head.
Behind you, you heard Yuji bidding his goodbyes, his voice chipper and easy, like always. As he caught up and fell into step beside you, the two of you began to make your way out of the Sanctum.
It hadn’t been the day you’d expected, not even close. But as the path carried the two of you back toward Nocturne and Ignis, your pace began to slow just slightly. You found yourself letting your guard down, just enough to allow for a few shared words, a few small laughs.
Maybe… just maybe… you’d made a new friend.

CLICHÉ TROPES WITH THEM .ᐟ
✩ — includes: various x gn!reader. fluff and crack. no cws. wc: 1603 (yeah i know it's pretty long). reblogs and feedback are very much appreciated !! :D
diluc — !
the one trope where the two main characters end up living together. you were going to move in with kaeya, who was also a good yet troublesome friend of yours. but you ended up meeting his brother at the doorstep with his luggage instead of him? that’s quite peculiar. you loved kaeya, you really did, but making you live with someone you rarely even know (you both know each other’s names but nothing other than that) just to spice up your life? it’s something that you’d definitely hate him for.
but hey, at least you get to live with someone less troublesome and actually do chores properly, right? oh, how wrong you were; diluc was worse than kaeya. yes, he knows how to cook and clean, as well as other chores, but communicating with him is one of your main problems. more headaches that you have with him are that you never have the same opinion with him, unlike you did with kaeya. so much for hoping that they’d at least be a bit similar. however, there’s still hope to get along with him, right?
childe — !
the trope where it’s idiotic love but also mutual pining in high school. both of you know that the other likes them back, but you both deny it, thinking that it’s some mistake. your relationship with childe is quite frustrating—from those small hugs and the moments of the two of you laughing when he walks you home from school, it’s frustrating to the point that both of your friends abandoned you on your problem and decided that the two of you suffer with it alone.
there’s also the festival, where you and childe just ditch the whole event and chill at some abandoned playground. you got to know each other better, yet you’re both scared to admit your feelings—the hesitation is quite obvious if either of you try to bring up the topic. but finally! you and childe decided to go by the bridge to watch the fireworks more closely, and that’s when the two of you finally confessed. there wasn’t the "kiss under the fireworks" kind of thing; no, childe was leaning on the bridge too much to see the fireworks clearly, to the point that he fell and pulled you with him into the water. so all of your mutual pining and stupidity just resulted in you and childe freezing! how romantic indeed!
xiao — !
childhood friend to lovers, but your romantic moments always get interrupted (plus, you’re dense about xiao’s feelings). everyone always comments on how the two of you look, but you and xiao always shake it off, saying that "we’re just close friends, nothing special." but when did "close friends" accompany each other to go shopping? when did "close friends" decide to hold hands frequently, even in public, with your other friends?
there were a lot of moments of xiao wanting to express his romantic perceptions to you, but every time he attempted it, he got unfairly disturbed by someone calling you on your phone or someone entering the scene. it was frustrating; xiao doesn’t show it, though. but maybe now is not the time to confess just yet? he’ll get his chance soon.
albedo — !
he’s the quiet art kid who always works near the back of the classroom. you two got paired up for an important project. (mind you, it was a mixed-class thing. albedo is in another class while you were in a different class too.) but the thing is, you know nothing about art, nor did you really have good grades for it. you were basically the hopeless one between you and albedo but he was willing to help you learn the usual basics. he was rather patient with you; even if you made errors, he wasn’t strict with his teaching, nor was he angered by how much of a slow-paced learner you are.
he was just... calm during your moments together. but alas, good times have their endings, and you two luckily finished your project. you’d admit it—you had fun with albedo. to the times where you would chase each other to smudge paint on each other’s faces or the times where you would accidentally fall asleep while working on your project, leaving albedo to do the majority of it—you’ll miss it. however, there’s still a chance that you can spend more time alone together, right?
kaeya — !
the flirty coworker who seems to slack off most of the time but actually gets his work done. your work space is right next to his, which gives him more access to bother you even further. you really wonder how he gets his job done—or how he still even works at the place—when all you can remember are his cheesy pick-up lines and questions about whether he could treat you to dinner. kaeya would never shut up when he was around you. he’s always blabbering about the most random things. even though it does seem like you aren’t interested, you actually pay attention to his ramblings.
kaeya is somewhat the person who makes your work experience quite interesting, even though all he does is ramble and flirt with you. you didn’t mind his flirtatious actions, but you can’t really say if it would be a good decision. does he do this to other people too? or are you the only one he ever bothers to even flirt with? you didn’t know. he makes you so confused, to the point that it’s frustrating. and so you confront him, asking him if he’s just doing all of it for boredom or if he's actually willing to try a relationship with you. the second that kaeya would hurriedly press his lips against yours, you got your answer: you were the only one he ever bothered this much.
zhongli — !
you and he are both teachers who are shipped together by the majority—a very old trope. if childe (who was also your fellow coworker as a teacher) hadn’t start teasing you on how you and zhongli spend your breaks together, then the school wouldn’t have known. you truly do enjoy your breaks with zhongli; you two just chatter about how the other has been or introduce new things that the other doesn’t seem to know about. nothing too romantic, right? but what if the teasing and shipping that childe had started actually made you have second thoughts if you were catching feelings for him?
kazuha — !
awkward and silent bookworm who wants to have his peace and quiet, but you always disturb him. until one day you didn't, and he gets confused, but that’s when he realizes that he actually likes you and your bubbly self. kazuha had always appreciated and even enjoyed his time with you. he just didn’t know how to show it. he didn’t know how to say that he adores how you talk, how he loves it when you get happy at the smallest things, and how he gets ever so lovestruck when you flash him that smile that he knows was directed at him.
kazuha doesn’t know how to say all of this in the flowery words his mouth spills, so his only choice is to keep quiet about it. to keep it to himself, but he knows one day he has to let it out. and he did. during the one day you weren’t cheery like you usually are, kazuha knew something was up. it took you a while to let it out, but you eventually told him how you felt so tired with all of the schoolwork and how exhausted you were to even stop being all happy. kazuha listened to you and even gave tips on how to maintain your school life, and you never felt so grateful for meeting him. maybe one day he'll also get his chance.
thoma — !
the trope where he’s a popular yet stupid senior. he has really bad grades, so you were asked to tutor him for your upcoming final exams of the year, or else he would have to repeat a school year instead of moving up. you were simply too smart for people around your age, but you didn’t want to comply. (you did anyways because who knows what the consequences will be?) and so the two of you had an awkward start. with thoma scratching his neck as you stare him down with the most neutral look a person can pull, that’s how your tutoring sessions started.
when the exam results came, and wow! thoma passed! and that means he gets to move on with life, but that also means that he has to leave the school, and he’ll never see you again! you weren’t planning to get attached to him, but you did. and you weren’t that shy to admit that you’d always crack up whenever thoma would act all goofy around you during your tutoring sessions. and thoma loved it when you looked so calm whenever you taught him. he may or may not have pulled that one move where he would tuck your hair behind your ear just so he could see your face better. just who knew you’d develop feelings for a guy like him?
scaramouche — !
you’re each other’s academic enemies. and not only that, you compete between smarts; you both fight over anything, maybe even everything. everyone would tease you both, saying things like, "just confess already! we know you two like each other!" or something like that. but did you? did you actually have feelings for each other but were too proud to admit it, so you two just fought about it? maybe. just maybe.

Sewing Clothes and Drinking Tea
I apologize for being gone so long, life got busy. I finished this WIP while in science class because I hate science and decided to post it.
Feedback and criticism are welcome! Just please be nice about it.
QUICK SYNOPSIS or whatever it's called: Professor Crewel and Prefect Yuu bonding over sewing and tea because of a secret influence (you'll know by the end).
CW: Yuu is anxious (probably, it's just my thought process, they might just come off as nervous), I don't know how to describe tea or sewing, this takes place before Book 5 (VDC is referenced but Yuu doesn't know what it is)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's the day of my people :D
Yuu trudged toward the school store, their messenger bag shrugged over their shoulder. Ace and Deuce had torn holes into their uniforms by getting into a scrap with Octavinelle students (read: Floyd). Not only that, but Grim had a spat with Leona, tearing his bow.
Now the trio was employing the prefect to fix their clothes. Yuu sighed and pinched the bridge of their nose. They were going to end up in debt because of their idiots.
As soon as they entered the store, Mr. S was at their side, an apologetic look on his face. “I’m sorry, little devil. We just ran out.”
Yuu had learned not to question how he knew these things. Though, they suspected the shadows had something to do with it. “Really?” Sam always had what they needed in stock. “Did a delivery not come in?”
He shook his head. “No, Divus bought the last of the sewing materials. From how much he got, he’s either working on a new project or a large group of imps wrecked their clothes.”
“Oh.” The prefect clicked their tongue. Dammit, tomorrow was Monday. If Grim didn’t have his bow fixed, Crowley wouldn’t be pleased with them. And while Ace and Deuce weren’t in Ramshackle and, technically, weren’t their responsibility, Yuu would rather not let their friends down. Also, hearing Ace whine about a collar for a week sounded like hell.
“Well, little devil, I’m sure if you asked politely enough, Divus would lend you some.” Sam had obviously noticed their downcast expression.
Yuu perked up. “Do you think?”
“Yes, yes.” Sam went back to stocking behind the counter.
“Wait.” They deflated a bit. “Won’t Professor Crewel be at home? It is the weekend, Mr. S.”
"He keeps all his projects and sewing materials at his school office."
"Why?"
Sam shot a small smile their way. "He works on them in between classes and after school."
"Doesn't he have paperwork to do during those times?" Yuu asked, feeling bemused.
His small smile turned into a cheeky one. "Maybe," he shrugged.
They shook their head in amusement. "Thank you, Mr. S." They turned to leave. "I'll tell you how it goes!"
"There's no need; I'll know," Sam chuckled.
~~~~~~~~~~~
As Yuu walked through the desolate halls, some doubts filled their mind. What if Professor Crewel wasn't there? And if he was, would he listen to them? Would he help? Or would he turn them away with the flick of his wrist? The prefect was quite intimidated by the fur-coat-wearing teacher. And for good reason!
Divus Crewel had a strict way of teaching. He never stood for tardiness or horsing around. Any student who went against him would be punished severely. He taught with a whip and a terrifying glare. And last but not least, he reminded Yuu of Cruella De Vil. She had scared them shitless as a kid. With her freaky design and her intent to kill puppies and skin them for their coats, how could she not have?
They hesitated outside the alchemy classroom door. If they wanted, they could turn back now. They could buy a new bow for Grim. Ace and Deuce aren't precisely their problems, the duo have a housewarden and should know how to care for themselves.
A voice cut off their thoughts. "Come in, pup!" It called through the door.
Yuu creaked the door open at the invitation. The infamous Professor Crewel sat at a desk at the front of the room. He had a needle in his hand while fabric floated around him. "Hello, professor."
"Sam told me you were coming." The shadows seemed to dance when he said that. "What is it that you need?"
"Um, well..." Yuu looked at his forehead, avoiding eye contact. "Uh, you see, Grim and my friends tore a few stitches in their clothing and asked me to fix it up, again. I ran out of the thread and patches I needed, so I went to Mr. S's shop. And, well, you got the last of it.
"Mr. S then said that you maybe, probably, might let me borrow some of the materials?" Their rambling got quicker and quieter the more they went on.
Divus quirked an eyebrow. It was obvious that the prefect was nervous around him. It was no wonder considering his reputation with the student body. "Let me take a look at the damage those pups have done."
Yuu fumbled with their bag before pulling the torn clothing out. They walked over and handed it over to the teacher. He inspected the tears.
Most of Grim's vow was now shredded ribbons, Leona had got him good. Ace had gotten the brunt of Floyd's attack; Deuce's uniform wasn't as bad. Their clothes were torn from a force pulling at them and there were claw marks here and there.
Divus sighed. These pups were always so reckless. "I'll mend these. Pull up a chair." He waved his hand to the side, gesturing toward a seat.
Yuu immediately grabbed one, bringing it over to the side of the teacher's desk. They sat down, watching Professor Crewel work silently.
Some of the black fabric overhead floated down and scissors cut patches out of it. Magic threaded the needle for Divus. He grabbed it out of the air and began sewing the uniforms back into their proper form. The Ramshackle prefect watched in awe at the teacher's skill, but they felt a bit confused.
"Professor," they said, pulling his concentration away from his work. "Why don't you just use magic to sew?"
He sighed, expecting this question. "I don't want to build up too much blot."
"But you're making the fabrics and material float?"
"It's easier to organize them if they're not all dumped on my desk," he answered, a loud snip coming from his scissors. One patch down.
The prefect was about to ask another question but Crewel interrupted them. "Would you like some tea, pup?"
Yuu, caught off-guard by the sudden question, takes a moment to answer. "Um, yes please." After the whole Azul fiasco, they were suspicious of any free things offered to them.
Divus opened one of his desk drawers and pulled out a teapot and two teacups seemingly out of nowhere. From Yuu's perspective, the drawer looked like a void. "How did you do that?" they blurted out, amazement on their face.
The teacher stifled a chuckle. "It's an enchantment so the drawer has unlimited space. I cast it back when I started teaching here." He poured tea into the two cups and pushed one toward the teen.
The smell wafted up to their nostrils. They could've died happy then and there; it smelt so wonderful. They couldn't quite put their finger on it even though it was familiar. "What type of tea is this? It smells fantastic!"
"It's a walnut and almond green tea. I had it imported from the Queendom of Roses," Divus said proudly, taking a sip before going back to work.
Yuu took a sip as well, humming in delight. "Is it specially made there?"
He nods, focusing on the needle in his hand. "It's said that the Mad Hatter drank it at his unbirthday parties. Only the people of the queendom know how to brew it."
They muttered something about Riddle and his mother before speaking again. "Hmm, green tea's quite common back home. It's easy to get; you don't need to import it from another country."
"How interesting, pup." Two more loud snips sounded through the room. Two more patches done.
After his indifferent response, Yuu goes quiet. They take a sip of their tea and inspect the cup for something to do. It was plain white with little green leaves attached to thin vines. Each leaf was different in shape and size, but still similar. As they examined the teacup, they realized it looked authentic.
"Professor Crewel, is this handmade?" They held the teacup up so he knew what they were talking about.
Snip. Snip. Snip. Three patches and two uniforms done. "Yes, this set was handmade by an old friend of mine," he said as he grabbed his magic pen. The black fabric floated back up into the air. In its place, strips of grey and white fabric dropped onto the professor's desk.
Yuu watched with fascination as Divus lined up the material meticulously. "Who was the friend?"
"A friend from college, Ansel. He actually went to RSA. We met when I was in my second year and he was in his first." He sounded nostalgic as he spoke. "We met at that year's VDC. Ansel was performing for his team while I was a costume for mine. We went all out that year," he chuckled, now sewing the strips together.
"VDC?" the prefect mumbled before shaking their head. They'll ask about what that is later. "Were you good friends with him? Do you both still talk?"
The man sighed. "Yes, we were good friends. No, I don't talk with him much anymore, pup. We still text every once in a while. Before you ask, the last time we actually talked was at his wedding." He had finished fashioning the strips into a grey and white striped ribbon. Instead of fixing Grim's old bow, he had made a new one.
Yuu quickly downed the rest of their tea before they were handed the new and improved school uniforms. "Ah, thank you, sir."
Divus nodded curtly. "You're welcome, pup. Now run along." He got right back to work mending other clothing articles.
The prefect was about to walk out the door when he called out to them. "Pu- Prefect Yuu?"
They turned around to face him. "Yeah?"
"My door is always open if you need anything." He shot them a small, warm smile.
"Okay, thank you," they said, smiling brightly back at him before leaving.
Unbeknownst to the two, a certain shadow darted out of the room.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam was closing up shop when a shadow appeared next to him. It looked lively as it waved its arms around and seemingly danced.
Same glanced at it every now and then, wiping the store's front counter as he "heard" what took place in the alchemy teacher's classroom.
He chuckled afterward. "I knew they'd get along!"
The shadow shook its head in response.
"Look, I know it was bad to lie to the little devil, but hey, it ended up benefitting them. Now they have someone responsible that they can rely on." The shopkeeper bent under his counter and pulled out sewing materials.
"I better go put these back now, huh?"

Thank you for reading! I'm sorry for any OOC behavior and anything I get wrong about the slight mention of VDC. I haven't made it past book 4 yet. This is my second time writing an actual fic for this fandom and my first time actually posting one! On Sunday, I might post a drawing/painting that goes with this fic. I don't have my sketchbook on me right now.

A Most Improper Time for Love
Professor Draco Malfoy was having a perfectly ordinary day at Hogwarts—until he and Hermione Granger, of all people, were catapulted back to 1899 in the American Wild West. Now, with nothing but their wits (and a questionable amount of stolen property), they find themselves pursued by:
Two very angry outlaws (whose horses they may or may not have “borrowed”),
Mysterious men from the Department of Mysteries (who really ought to mind their own business), and
An office desk with an attitude problem (long story).
Forced to ride with a gang of outlaws, dodge duels, and master the fine art of not getting shot, Hermione and Draco must find a way home before they end up with a permanent address in history. But time travel is tricky and so is romance.
Will they make it back to Hogwarts? Will Draco ever learn how to ride a horse without screaming? And, most importantly, will Hermione ever forgive him for that time he almost got them married at a hotel?
Strap in, partner. Things are about to get highly undignified.
Chapter 1 - Intro to Artifacts
Draco Malfoy had woken up in many unfortunate places before—an Azkaban holding cell (briefly), a cursed broom cupboard (long story), and once, disastrously, in a Hufflepuff common room after losing a bet—but never before had he woken up face-first in the dirt, with a cactus wedged alarmingly close to his left ear, and the distinct scent of horse manure lingering in the air.
He groaned, spitting out a mouthful of sand, and squinted against the blinding sun. Somewhere nearby, a bell tolled ominously. A crow cawed. And just as he was about to conclude that this was a particularly bizarre hangover dream, a tumbleweed bounced past his nose, taunting him.
This, Draco decided, was Hermione Granger’s fault.
Three days earlier
Professor McGonagall looked up from the parchment before her, unimpressed.
“Professor Malfoy, I trust you’ve had time to reflect on your – how shall I put this – catastrophic mishap in the North Tower.” She huffed.
Draco Malfoy tried not to look her squarely in the eyes. He could feel a lecture coming on. One does not get summoned to McGonagall’s office and expect a pat on the back.
“Catastrophic is a strong word,” he replied, crossing his arms.
McGonagall raised an eyebrow. “You detonated half a classroom.”
Draco scoffed and gave her a roll of the eyes. “That’s a gross exaggeration.”
“Is it? Because the Ministry classified it as,” McGonagall peered back down at the parchment, “an ‘unlicensed magical explosion of notable recklessness and stupidity.’”
“Bureaucratic fearmongering.” He muttered.
“The students were singed, Professor Malfoy.” McGonagall remarked dryly.
“Oh, come now,” Draco said, gesturing vaguely. “Nothing permanent. A little eyebrow loss builds character.”
McGonagall gave a heavy sigh and pinched the bridge of her nose.
“Regardless, the Board has strongly encouraged you to participate in an important research project as – shall we say -- a contribution to the school’s academic community.
He narrowed his eyes at her. “That sounds suspiciously like a punishment.”
McGonagall took an innocent sip of her tea.
“Oh? I prefer to think of it as a valuable learning opportunity.”
“And what thrilling academic endeavour am I being graciously forced into?” He was getting tired of this nonsense. One small kaboom and suddenly he was a liability?
McGonagall pulled a folder out from a drawer and flipped through it.
“You’ll be assisting Professor Granger with an artifact examination.”
A horrified gasp erupted from Draco’s throat.
“Granger?” he sputtered.
“Yes.”
“Hermione Granger?”
“Unless we’ve hired another Granger while I wasn’t looking.”
He leaned forward, his voice low and desperate.
“Professor, let’s be rational. Surely there are other esteemed professionals in need of assistance? Perhaps a kind-hearted Curse-Breaker in Peru? Or a pleasant, low-risk bookbinding project?”
“No.” McGonagall said as she turned a page, unfazed.
“But she’s- she’s insufferable, overbearing, and has a deeply concerning passion for excessive footnotes.”
“And yet, she still hasn’t blown up a tower.” She replied mildly.
Draco glared at her. “That was one time.”
McGonagall set the folder down and levelled him with a look.
“You’ll start Friday afternoon.”
The following 48 hours, Draco had tried every excuse he could think of to get himself out of McGonagall’s arrangements.
He claimed scheduling conflicts, feigned illness and even tried bribing Granger to take someone else. She would not have it. He was sure that Granger despised him as much as he despised her, but he knew her well enough to know that she would never directly go against McGonagall’s orders. Which is why, on a lovely Friday afternoon, he had no choice but to trudge down to the Hogwarts research lab.

“Whatever happens, don’t cry.”
Aelin snorted. “Are you telling that to me or yourself?”
It was a joke, but deep down she didn’t know. Maisie was power-walking ahead of them, carrying her bee-themed rolling backpack herself. Something squeezed inside Aelin’s chest just to think that this bag was nearly as tall as her toddler when the handle was up.
Rowan squeezed Aelin’s hand. “I’m not forcing her to stay if she cries.” He gave her a firm look. “One tear, she’s back home. We can try again next year.”
She squeezed his hand back. “She won’t, okay? Maisie has to learn how to be in school.”
They were soon in Maisie’s designated classroom, the teacher was outside to greet the kids and their parents, while her assistant watched the kids who were already inside.
After greetings and introductions, the teacher turned to Maisie. “There’s some other kids in this room, and we’ll have a lot of fun together, okay?”
“‘Kay.” Then Maisie took her father’s hand and pulled him into the classroom.
“Mais,” Rowan’s voice was pained, and he crouched to be eye-to-eye with his daughter. “your mom and I won’t come in with you, okay? We’ll pick you up in a few hours.”
The little girl patted her dad’s cheek. “Daddy, are you sad?”
“No,” he lied, “it’s just my allergies.”
For Mala’s sake. Aelin pinched the bridge of her nose. Rowan had his back to her now, but she just knew he broke their promise to not be emotional about this in front of their daughter.
Maisie hugged her dad. “Daddy, you can't be here, but I’ll tell you if I discover a new game."
She quickly hugged her mom too, grabbed her bag, and hurried inside the classroom, but stopped at the door’s threshold.
“Bye!” She waved at her parents. “Tell Fleetfoot I’ll be back to play catch.”
And just like that, she was out of their sight.
Aelin caressed Rowan’s shoulder. “Do you need a moment?”
He was staring slack-jawed at the door. “Did you see that?”
“I did.” She pressed her lips together, blinking back tears. “We’re raising a very independent little girl.”
Rowan let out a fond sigh, sneaked a hand around Aelin’s waist and led them out of the school.

✨Jorvik Riding Academy ✨
PT1
Firstly, i did not expect to get that much attention on my first Jorvik Academy post, so thank you all SO MUCH!!
Second, I want to go more in depth about the Academy. So, in no particular order, i'm going to be going over some of the things people in the reblogs said...

@bridge-to-jorvik Thank you!
And yes, the idea for the Academy is to combine a lot of the current mechanics into one big hub of sorts. More rescue foals, and hopefully with time, sso could introduce foals from different breeds, big shire foals the size of the player, knobby knee'd akhal-teke's, just plenty of new baby's with different builds.
Perhaps with its proximity to Jorvik city, new furniture stores could be opened up, with a wide array off different aesthetics and decor to choose from that players could customise their dorms/homes with.

@samanthawd i'm pretty sure if enough players pitched in a dollar, we could buy a small island.
The idea is definitely that the Academy is a place where even those who aren't students are welcome. In regards to daily's, most of the 'classroom' quests are just general horse facts, learning about Jorvik and its history, the myths and legends surrounding the magical horses. Just general information to make the world feel more full, and even then , there would be alternate daily's where you could 'teach' a class instead of learn.

@toruq i'm absolutely not freaking out because I LOVE your art!!!
I unfortunately haven't had the chance to play the other games, nor read much of the comics, but I was vaguely aware of Star Academy and Jorvik high, just not there names. The academy itself was based off the idea of Star Academy.
Now while I did call it an Academy, it's more of a prestigious title, it would very much be a uni/college of sorts. The idea is that its a higher education program that is open to equestrians globally, resulting in many different disciplines would be taught and practiced.
@froggistain Your reply is a little long to fit, so i've condensed it a bit.
Why not make it an updated Jorvik stables? Since Jorvik stables is already a place cemented in cannon, I didn't want to intrude too much on the existing lore of Jarlaheim and the stables, hence why I placed it in an unreleased area. I wholeheartedly agree that the area could be expanded on and utilised more, and an early concept of Jorvik Academy had it as such, but again, Jarlaheim and the stables are already so familiar to the playerbase.
Factions within the Academy, and respective tack sets. Yes, much like the wild horses, each discipline would have reputation and faction specific tack that would be obtainable through leveling up. The idea of certain sets contributing to certain skills is amazing!
Course building, difficulty and club riding. The idea of players being able to build different courses and tracks is amazing! And with how large the Academy is, even if a club is using one of the arenas, there would still be plenty of room for other players to move about around the grounds. And I love the idea of including a difficulty rating, the entire idea behind the Academy is to teach people the basics of horsemanship without the need to go to a barn or riding school.
Thank you so much to everyone who commented!! I love seeing people enjoy my silly little overzealous ideas!
I've also sketched up some more tack ideas. The first one is more specifically a Parade set, because I love the idea of, much like the Pride parade, once a week/month, students and teachers would ride around central Jorvik, maybe to a town in the planes, maybe to the city. There could be carriages, flags flown, just a big parade that players could ride in or watch.
Again, the classic viridian, but to show how the tacks could look in other colours, i've included pink and purple, with matching riders clothes.
Ive also designed a more regal/armoured set, originally this one was catered towards a magical horse, but i think it could be really fun to branch out with the tack designs in the game. We already have horned bridals, so this was ultimately an extension of those.
The viridian and Gold of the Academy, but with a bit of a vampire/Halloween vibe in the silver and red, and a more muted autumnal pallet in the green and bronze.
And...
✨ spooky horse time✨
I had a lot of fun designing this one, especially since its halloween , and with the new magic horses coming out, I love seeing SSE branch out with additional things on there models, such as the horns and antlers.
Kelpie here was incredibly fun to design, especially with all of the reeds and water-plants hanging from them, and I would love to see some of the unique horses get Quests or chance encounters, it would add so much more to there lore, and the entire lore of the island.

Clark Kent (Smallville) Short Story - Chapter 20
You’ve been trying to figure out what this means.
Your intention was to go to Harry, but you aren’t sure what exactly you can say. So your decision is to just make it through this last class. With the weekend coming up, it’ll give you a window to work through all of this.
That’s why that morning when you left you were determined to keep yourself grounded. Maybe if you divert your focus you won’t shift into some other reality again.
Yet, even now as the teacher is droning on about some lesson but you can’t focus.
Your vision is struggling to stay on the board, and you massage your eyelids.
It’s getting harder.
“Where did you come from!!”
You jump at the yell, and the students in your general area back up at your presence. There’s a boy sitting right next to you. He looks more intrigued than scared.
“Peter, get away from her!!”
A girl calls.
He moves out of his seat.
“You don’t have to be scared, I know you’re not bad. Spider sense.” He whispers.
“Spider Sense.. A-Are you..Peter Parker?”
He’s shocked.
“You know my name..”
You feel as though you’re going to hyperventilate.
“Ms Wells, Ms.Wells Ms. Wells!”
Your gasp, looking up, and all eyes in the room are trained in you.
Clark is sitting at your side, and he watches you with worry. You swallow, massaging the bridge of your nose.
“I-I’m sorry, I don’t feel too well.”
Concern flashes in the teacher’s eyes.
Clark stands.
“I’ll take her to the nurse’s office.” Your teacher nods.
“Y-Yes, thank you Mr. Kent.”
Clark moves to your side immediately, helping you to your feet, You stand.
“I’m sorry.”
She shakes her head.
“No need to apologize. Please just worry about getting better. “ Clark guides you out of the classroom.
Walking through the hallway, you straighten, and Clark pulls his hands away hesitantly when you look unaffected.
“(Y/N) are you okay?”
“I’m fine, I just needed to get out of class. Clark, we need to make an excuse to leave early. Something is..something is happening.”
He needs no more considering. From your tone, it’s clear that this is serious.
So with the permission of the school, you both left.
Clark hasn’t taken his eyes off you for a second.
The minute you get through your door, you’re looking for Harry.
He lifts his head, clearly confused as to why you’re home so early. His laptop is set in front of him and the second he catches wind of Clark’s worried expression he races to your side.
“What’s wrong!”
The wind has tossed your hair. Despite your uncertainty in this situation, you still wear a smile. Harry has proved time again that he’ll drop everything to protect you.
You take a breath, guiding him to the couch. He follows and so does Clark. When you’re all seated you finally speak.
“I think Aaron did something, triggered something in my body.”
You play with the hem of your shirt.
“I know I should have said something sooner but I wasn’t really sure how to say it. I think I might be..I think I might be traveling between realities.”
You know how crazy it sounds, and more than anything you want it to be a dream, but you had all literally seen a transparent apparition of your father.
“Harry, the theory of the multiverse, is it real?”
He stares in awe. He’d written about a lot in his time, but a lot of his works were theory at best. When he published that book, it was way before he could run at the speed of light. Although he hasn’t actually traveled through reality, he hasn’t completely abandoned the idea. There was so much he was still learning about his own power.
“I..I always theorized, but I’ve never, I’ve never had proof.”
You run a hand through your hair.
“I think it’s possible. Harry I’ve been time traveling, or leaping or something. Whatever Aaron did it unlocked something. First at Star Labs and then in the library, now at school. It keeps happening. I don’t know what’s going on, I don’t know how to control it. I-I’m scared..”
You seem a bit panicked and Clark takes your hand. He can’t really get rid of it. Your fears.
Harry wishes he could just tell you that it’ll all be alright that he’ll protect you. But he can’t promise that.
What he realizes is that he can’t hope to protect you from everything. He needs to equip you to protect yourself. So that what happened with Aaron, it never occurs again.
Harry swallows.
“I need you to do it again. To jump.”
The request makes your eyes crazy.
“W-What! N-No I can’t!” I’ve just barely gotten it to stop. If I stop thinking for a moment I could get lost again. I can’t Harry, I can’t!”
You stand and he rises, taking your shoulder.
“Listen to me (Y/N), you know I’d never let anything happen to you if it were within my power. But I can’t protect you. Not from this. You need to jump. Whatever he did, you can control it. The both of you are blood. You must have similar abilities. You have to tap into it. It’s the only way you can hope to gain control.”
You’re on the verge of tears.
“W-What if..what if I do and it turns me into him. What if I become a monster..”
The very thought is frightening, and Harry smiles, wiping the single tear that runs down your cheek.
“I have faith in you. You’re my sister and I trust you. I trust your ability. You can do this.”
His encouragement is any if not motivating. You mirror his smile a bit shakily and Harry presses his forehead against your own.
With an even breath, you nod slowly, closing your eyes.
You just barely feel Clark’s hand on your shoulder right before all the sound in the room fades out.
“I believe in you.”

✿ band-aids
YOOO LOOK ITS MY FIRST FLUFF ONESHOT? WOWIE?? OH MY GAHHH
little moon universe btw! takes place when reader is nine years old and bruce is fifteen
TW: mentions of bullying, blood, injuries
im very upset tho bc like, i wanted to find this cute and pretty picture of like flower-pattern band-aids to put up w this post but all i got were band-aids and flowers >:c big sad
̶̶̶̶ «̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ «̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶ ̶»̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ »̶ ̶̶̶
"When did they start picking on you?" Bruce asks. He was currently seated in just a random quiet corner of school. Where you'd "dragged" him⎯ he followed after you, of course. Your little attempts at trying to drag him when he was so much older and taller than you were quite adorable.
You pull another band-aid out of the little box you'd pulled out of your backpack, standing in front of Bruce as he sits in a chair he'd stolen from one of the empty classrooms.
You avoid answering his question, though. You just smooth out the little flower-patterned band-aid on his split knuckles, bruised and bleeding from the fight he'd just been in.
Bruce had fought your bullies, more specifically. Kids that were bigger than you, a little older than you. You were small for a nine-year-old, pretty scrawny, too.
"Moon. Answer me."
His voice is stern, and you visibly tense up. That didn't ease Bruce's worries at all, watching as you grab another band-aid from the little box, avoiding looking him in the eyes.
"It's been going on for awhile." You reply quietly, and it takes everything for Bruce not to sigh out loud. He knew that if he'd had any sort of reaction to that right now, you'd assume he was mad at you.
But he wasn't mad at you. It wasn't your fault you were being bullied, after all.
"Why didn't you tell me or Alfred?" Bruce asks after a moment, forcing himself to slowly breath out, so as not make you upset. You were a sensitive kid, after all. You seemed to cry so easily.
"I... didn't want to be a burden. Or a bother. You guys already have to deal with my nightmares." You mumble, your bottom lip puckered out in a pout, cheeks puffing up in a way that made Bruce instantly compare you to a hamster.
"You wouldn't be a bother or a burden, Moon. Alfred takes care of you because he cares about you." Would Bruce ever admit out loud he cared about you? No.
It was just not really the way he did things. He was more of a "show how much you care about someone through actions" kind of person, even to the person he viewed as his little sibling.
"What about you, though? Aren't I a bother to you?" You ask innocently, and Bruce leans down as he sees you reach up on the tips of your toes to put a band-aid over the bridge of his nose⎯ which was horridly bruised and was cut-up.
Bruce shakes his head at your question, before giving a questioning look. "That won't do anything to help the bruises, Moon."
"I know! But it's the thought that counts, right?"
Bruce just simply shakes his head in response, a small little laugh leaving him as he sits up straight once more after you were satisfied with the amount of band-aids you'd put on the bruises and cuts on his face.
"Your gonna get in trouble with Alfy for getting into fights, Bruce." You whine, putting yet another one of your little flower-patterned band-aids on Bruce's split knuckles.
Your attempts at trying to patch up Bruce were endearing to him. He'd already faced much worse, considering he was already learning to be a Vampire Hunter. Which meant he came home with much, much worse injuries than this already.
But he wouldn't stop you. It'd put a smile on your face, after all. You didn't smile this wide very often, so why would he say something to take that happy little grin off your face?
Plus, you felt helpful. He wasn't going to stop you from feeling like you were helping him for once.
"I'm fine with getting in trouble, Moon. It won't bother me if it means those kids won't pick on you again, alright?" Bruce replies with a light laugh, reaching a hand up to simply ruffle your hair, which causes you to pout at him and try to duck away.
You also attempt to swat Bruce's hand away, but that really was only a futile attempt as he leans forward to wrap one arm around your shoulders to pull you close so he could further ruffle your hair, making you whine and tell him to stop while trying to wriggle free.
"Bruce!" You whine, finally managing to duck free of his assault on messing up your hair, a pout on your lips as you huff at him. A very exaggeratingly loud huff to show how upset you were.
"Alright, alright. Did you get hurt anywhere today, when they picked on you?"
"On my arm."
Bruce reaches a hand out, taking the arm you'd pointed to in question, inspecting it. "Hmm... Yea, you got quite the bruise."
Bruce looks down at his lap, diving one of his hands into that box of band-aids you'd dropped when he'd started messing with your hair to grab a band-aid.
"Lemme return the favor, alright?" Bruce hums in reply as you try to pull your arm away, only for you to grumble a very you sounding "fine, whatever" that you definitely picked up from his normally grumpy demeanor.
And so, Bruce puts the flower-patterned band-aid onto that bruise on your arm, which just makes you laugh. "That won't do anything!" You giggle, and Bruce only smiles.
A little small smile.
"It's the thought that counts, right?"

Enhancing Early Learning with Montessori-Inspired Flashcards by Learning Dino

In the dynamic realm of early childhood education, fostering learning through interactive and engaging tools is paramount. One such innovative tool that has gained significant traction is the Montessori-inspired Early Learning Flashcards by Learning Dino. These flashcards, designed with a focus on real-life images and comprehensive coverage of various categories, serve as a valuable resource for parents and educators alike. In this blog, we delve into the multifaceted benefits of these flashcards and how they contribute to early learning and development.
Enhancing Learning Through Real-Life Images:
The essence of early learning lies in the connection between the child’s experiences and the educational materials provided. Learning Dino’s flashcards excel in this aspect by featuring real-life images of fruits, vegetables, colors, vehicles, animals, and household items. By incorporating images that children encounter in their daily lives, these flashcards facilitate a seamless transition from abstract concepts to tangible understanding. For instance, associating the image of an apple with its real-life counterpart helps children grasp the concept of fruits more effectively.
Comprehensive Coverage Across Various Categories:
Diversity in learning materials is key to catering to the holistic development of young learners. Learning Dino’s flashcards offer a comprehensive coverage of six essential categories: fruits, vegetables, colors, vehicles, animals, and household items. This breadth ensures that children are exposed to a wide array of vocabulary and concepts, laying a strong foundation for language acquisition and cognitive development. Moreover, the structured organization of these categories allows for systematic learning progression, enabling children to build upon their knowledge incrementally.
Promoting Multisensory Learning:
An integral aspect of Montessori education is the emphasis on multisensory learning experiences. Learning Dino’s flashcards embrace this principle by providing tactile engagement through their A6 size and rounded edges. The non-tearable and water-resistant properties enhance durability, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor learning environments. Additionally, the incorporation of real-life images appeals to the visual senses, while parents and educators can supplement learning by incorporating auditory cues during flashcard sessions. This multisensory approach enriches the learning experience, making it more immersive and impactful for young learners.
Encouraging Active Parental Involvement:
Effective early learning extends beyond formal educational settings and relies heavily on active parental involvement. Learning Dino’s flashcards serve as a bridge between classroom learning and home environments, empowering parents to actively engage in their child’s educational journey. Through interactive flashcard sessions, parents can reinforce concepts introduced in school, facilitate language development, and nurture curiosity and exploration. Furthermore, the versatility of these flashcards allows for spontaneous learning opportunities during daily routines, such as identifying vegetables during grocery shopping or naming colors during playtime.
Facilitating Language Development and Conceptual Understanding:
Language acquisition is a fundamental aspect of early childhood development, and exposure to rich vocabulary plays a pivotal role in language proficiency. Learning Dino’s flashcards offer a plethora of words across various categories, enabling children to expand their vocabulary in a structured manner. Moreover, the contextual relevance of the images aids in conceptual understanding, as children learn to associate words with their corresponding objects or concepts. This contextual learning approach fosters deeper comprehension and retention, laying the groundwork for literacy skills development.
In the realm of early childhood education, fostering a love for learning and exploration is paramount. Learning Dino’s Montessori-inspired Early Learning Flashcards encapsulate this ethos by providing a versatile and engaging tool for young learners. Through real-life images, comprehensive coverage of categories, and a multisensory approach, these flashcards empower children to embark on a journey of discovery and knowledge acquisition. By incorporating these flashcards into early learning routines, parents and educators can nurture curiosity, promote language development, and lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

you're too sweet to be a terror, surely????? unless there is lore mslfsl 😭🦇
i have some serious beef with my chemistry and history teacher 😳 chemistry teacher was honestly just annoying there’s no real reason why i don’t like her apart from her being stuck up and bitchy… i used to stay home from school on thursday and fridays because i had double chemistry on both days, it was hell to say the least.
MY OLD HISTORY TEACHER KEPT US IN THE CLASSROOM WHEN THE FIRE ALARM WAS GOING OFF AND IT WASNT A DRILL 😭 people came up looking for us and everything but he was just like “nah learning about the battle of hastings is more important right now.” all while the fire alarm is still screaming at us. now is not the time for William the conquerer darling. the fire was in food tech and the humanities dept is on the other side of the school + we were next to a fire exit so he thought it was fine or something until the fire reached us? even though the tech + humanities blocks are linked by a bridge.
also he was a bit nonce-y…
so i think i deserve to be a bit of a terror 😅 i’m plotting my master plan.
#my gcse history teacher was a lot nicer#she was a lesbian and was one of the first out lgbtq+ people i ever met#so she was great i loved her so much#🦇 anon#someone stopped the fire by pouring a radnor fizz on it it was wild 😭😭😭#my school was weird#a substitute got caught watching… corn… after school on a school computer. after teaching year 7s… cant wait until you get home?#I HAD A CRUSH ON MY OTHER OTHER HISTORY TEACHER OMG I CANT EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN#MR CLARK I STILL LOVE YOU#and an english teacher#damn i had some really good looking teachers im just realising#dilfs tbh
