I’ve spoken before about the importance of healthy, respectful behavior from Dominants and how damaging poor dominance can be. But today, I want to gently shine a light on the other side of the slash. Because while submission is a beautiful, vulnerable offering… it’s also a role that comes with responsibility. And sometimes, submissives (just like Dominants) can fall into patterns of poor etiquette, disrespect, or even toxic behavior. Please understand that this isn’t about blame, shame or character assassination. It’s about creating awareness.
So let’s talk about a few behavior that can be harmful coming from the submissive side.
🖤 Topping from the bottom. This doesn’t mean expressing a need or asking for negotiation, it means trying to control the scene while it's happening. If you’ve consented to submit, then suddenly start giving instructions, correcting your Top, or trying to steer the entire experience without consent, you’re not submitting, you’re attempting to dominate the Dominant. And in a scene, this can not only break the energy, it can be deeply damaging and disrespectful. And in worst case scenario it can force the dominant into a Dom drop.
Something to keep in mind: If you can't surrender, you're not ready to submit.
*do not confuse this with Power Bottoms.
🖤 Withholding communication or using emotional shutdown as control. Going silent after a scene, refusing to use your safeword but still holding resentment, or using vulnerability as leverage (“If you loved me, you’d know what I need”), that’s not healthy submission. That’s emotional manipulation. You are responsible for your voice, your words, and your accountability.
🖤 Ignoring boundaries and consent. Yes, Dominants have boundaries too. No, we don’t exist solely to fulfill your fantasies on demand. Sending explicit messages without consent, pressing for intimacy, or guilt-tripping for attention is not cute. It’s disrespectful.
🖤 Entitlement masked as submission. Just because you want to serve someone doesn’t mean they owe you their time, dominance, or energy. Offering your submission doesn’t guarantee it will be accepted, and expecting otherwise is deeply inappropriate.
🖤 Emotional manipulation or sulking when corrected Power exchange isn’t one long validation session. Sometimes you’ll be corrected, held accountable, or reminded of a boundary. If your response is to pout, guilt-trip, or withdraw affection to punish your Dominant, that’s not submission. It's immaturity.
🖤 Using trauma or insecurity to avoid accountability. We all carry wounds. But weaponizing your past to excuse poor behavior, dodge growth, or demand someone else to carry your emotional load is unfair to everyone involved. Healing is a journey, and yes, a Dominant can be part of that. But the dominant isn't your therapist, and they aren't there to carry what you’re unwilling to face.
🖤 Bratting without negotiation. A little brattiness can be charming if it’s consensual, desired, and part of the dynamic. But bratting as a constant challenge to authority, especially without discussion, is just another form of disrespect.
🖤 Publicly disrespecting your Dom/me (or any Dom/me). Whether it’s sarcasm, teasing, or trying to embarrass your Dom/me in front of others- if it hasn’t been negotiated, it’s not dynamic play... it’s humiliation. And that’s a hard no.
Something to keep in mind: a submissive who can’t honor their Dominant publicly isn’t ready to serve them privately.
🖤 Comparing your Dom/me to others. Your Dominant is not a customizable fantasy doll. They are a person. And telling them someone else was “stricter,” “hotter,” or “more intense” is just a way to show you don’t know how to honor what you have.
So being a submissive does not exempt you from being self-aware, respectful, and emotionally present. In fact, those qualities make your submission more powerful, more beautiful, and more worthy of being held with care.
Just as I believe Dominance must be practiced with care, structure, and responsibility… Submission should be practiced with honesty, humility, and reverence.
You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be intentional. So if you’re going to kneel, do it with a heart ready to listen.

Riaz Moola, the founder of CoGrammar and Longdue which claims to be making a "successor to Disco Elysium" is so cartoonishly evil, like I can't believe this shit:
- he is currently legally preventing Argo Tuulik from working at Summer Eternal and in the industry until April 2025
- he wanted to be a shareholder of Summer Eternal and was asking SE to promote Longdue and not marked themselves or accept any crowdfunding until April 2025
- he is also teaming up with za/um, and taking Tuulik to court which is insanely expensive, which is why Argo is close to bankruptcy now, and had to set up a GoFundMe
- said GFM was taken down after a day and it's very likely that Moola did this because
- on the reddit post about this GFM Moola has made a comment that has like 300 upvotes, and some negative comments directed at him have a lot of downvotes, which is super suspicious considering other comments don't have even half as much engagement there, (and I think some comments even got deleted somehow!) &
- he is the CEO of Hyperiondev, which infamous for deleteting negative reviews about it's shit quality coding bootcamp
- Moolah's response to Argo was that "come on I'm just a small business owner and you were friendly with me in an email some months ago" (this dude is the CEO of multiple companies and who sues their friend into bankruptcy??)
- Argo Tuulik has said that he is doubtful that anyone from the old disco team is working at Longdue, and Moola could be using the fact that Tuulik was doing something for a very short time at CoGrammar to say that 'former de developers are at Longdue'
In conclusion,
Fuck Riaz Moola and what Longdue is making has nothing to do with disco elysium

In a recent staff post, tumblr staff said that only a quarter of tumblr is lgbtq, and I don’t think anyone’s really convinced of those numbers. Ik this post might not reach that many people but…
(Edit: oh my god guys ik the results are biased okay?? Unfortunately that’s just how polls work. Check my reblog tho gay, was literally the 2nd most trending tag last night. Even if you refuse to believe the statistical literacy of this poll you can still observe that tumblr is still largely very gay compared to the average social media. I talk more about this in a reblog but god. I get it. Polls have never been that good at gathering unbiased results)

Here’s Saint-Just in traditional art. This time he isn’t wearing blue. Drew this while watching a movie so the proportions might be a little off.

Am I Shadowbanned?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My blog has finally been restored, and I wanted to share what I’ve learned over the past week or so while my account was flagged. If you’re experiencing something similar, I hope you find this information useful.
While Tumblr states they don’t “shadowban” users, your blog can still get flagged by the anti-spam bot and restricted without actual notice, which in my opinion doesn’t make it less of a shadowban (sorry, Tumblr). When this happens, your posts lose visibility—they won’t appear on tag pages, recommendations, or the dashboard for most users. Social features are also restricted: you can’t comment, reply, send or receive asks, or use your messages or inbox. You can still interact with the posts, like and reblog, but it won’t show up in notes, and creators will only receive blank notifications. This creates the illusion that you’re using Tumblr as usual, but in reality, your blog has zero visibility and engagement—well, it’s called “shadowban” for a reason.
In my case, I noticed a steep decline in engagement and discovered my posts were no longer appearing on tag pages. I filed a ticket under the “Tags” category, but after several days of waiting, I filed a second ticket under “Social Features” based on advice from other users. From what I’ve read, including on an unofficial Tumblr troubleshooting subreddit (yes, there is one), tickets from flagged accounts are sent to the 'Safety' team for moderation, a process that can take some time, bypassing the support team, which seems counterintuitive to me. With still no reply, I reached out to Tumblr Support directly via Twitter. While they gave the same generic response about processing times, my ticket was resolved the same day.
A word of caution: be wary of scammers offering to “help” restore your account. I received several such replies, all of which were concealed, but it’s still something to watch out for.
Tumblr Support eventually confirmed my blog was flagged by the anti-spam bot and restored its functionality. Although they returned my initial "Tags" ticker, ironically, my older posts remain unsearchable and off Tumblr entirely (around a year’s worth of posting). And I’m not sure this is reversible. While I understand the need to maintain a safe and healthy community, the current system causes significant, often irreversible damage to regular blogs. It needs reworking to avoid unfairly impacting users. At the very least, there should be some mild moderation to verify if a flag was justified and clear notifications when a blog is concealed. Tumblr already has a system for sensitive content that hides individual posts and notifies users to review them—why not adopt a similar approach for spam suspects? (I’ll leave that up to the Tumblr team @staff @support)
While I’m not entirely sure what triggered the flag, among other possible causes, some users suggest it might be the use of a VPN. In my case, this makes sense. I often use it to access websites blocked in my region and sometimes forget to turn it off when switching back to Tumblr. If you use a VPN, be cautious!
You may find a lot of similar accounts on Tumblr. I highly recommend reading the “All About Shadowban” post by @that-damn-girl (it has 12k notes, and clearly suggests how relevant this issue is). I also checked the recent experiences shared by @smbhax and @elliespuns. Their blogs made me feel much less alone in this situation.
I’ll update this post if I learn more, but for now, I hope this helps.
UPD: So I sent the support team a follow up to ask about my concealed posts, and they were very kind to reassure me that all posts should be reinstated within 24 hours—and sure enough, they were! Everything is back to normal now.
