I have seen a lot of people complain on the last few episodes of Between Us being repetitive and sort of the same. It’s not that I don’t agree with them on it being on the same theme but I don’t agree with what they’re trying to prove or insinuate with that statement. I understand that the series might not seem to be moving forward but I feel people need to understand that this is a very different take on the university BL series which necessarily doesn’t need to have twists and spice to make it enthralling. I feel they are trying to present the everyday life of a university goer and make us understand the depth of insecurities that runs within each partner of a to-be relationship. 

It is not just a BL series, they are trying to humanise the story that Sheep wrote with various directions and in-depth character study. Not just that, people need to understand that this is a passion project (I know that doesn’t mean repetitiveness) but I don’t think you also understand how they’re trying to cover several lives, not just stories. 

I know how series seem to be working in the BL industry and how fans want what they want, but please, let us also be empathetic of what people are trying to convey by not just focusing on the big picture, but giving us a holistic fathomable coverage on the little things that matter.

PRIDE SAIKI K RECAP! I see a lot of confusion about the canon LGBTQIA+ in saiki k so for pride month here is a recap of every thing Canon!

( Just a reminder that they never actually use these sexuality labels in the show and non have been confirmed, just hinted at strongly in canon to the point that there is no ‘straight’ answer to the actions made by the characters. Also note some of the actions are portrayed as jokes which means they may not be canon but in all fairness this is a comedy so that might make all the jokes canon )

Saikik - Aroace ( potentially grey romantic due to that one panel in the manga with Satou or perhaps when he loses his powers and looks at Teruhashi but I think both are up for debate if it is just him being able to admire people ) also trans proven by the panel where he explains he doesn’t know what sex he was in the womb.

Hairo- MLM probably one of the only characters who never has a crush on Teruhashi and is canonically dating Nendo.

Nendo- BI He has shown interest in multiple women in the past but is happily dating Hairo.

Aren- BI while he has never explicitly flirted with a dude on the show or manga he makes a statement about going to an all boys school and how Toriska is a pervert for only dating women (implying that he has dated people who weren’t women in his old school).

Imu- BI Has shown interest in engaging in relationships with men and she does fantasise about engaging in a romantic relationship with Teruhashi in the manga and show.

I might have missed something or characters so feel free to comment so I can edit this post accordingly ( no headcanon events please this post is about canon events only :))

My Queer Headcanons For The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K Characters

Saiki Kusuo - Aroace doesn't really have a relationship with gender. Also I could see him wearing more feminine clothes. I don't know why. Uses He/Him pronouns but maybe would use others as well.

Nendo Riki - He's straight. Maybe not understand queer identities but is an ally.

Kaido Shun - Pansexual disaster. Genderqueer and uses he/they pronouns. Yeah that's it

Toritsuka Reita - Okay guys hear me out. Bisexual. Don't ask questions cause I don't know. But like I can see a scene with Toritsuka being like: "what are these feelings? I've never felt this way for another guy before. I can't...i can't...I'm straight." And then he tries to reinforce his sexuality (the straight one) and it doesn't work. I cannot believe I gave this so much thought. Because I don't even like him.
