!! ABOUT MATURE CONTENT ON THIS BLOG !!

I am well aware that there are plenty of minors following me. The ROTTMNT fandom skews extremely young, after all.

I'm normally pretty SFW and only occasionally post spicy or suggestive things (even then it's often mild/non-explicit), so I don't bother being all Minors DNI right now. It's not as NSFW as, say, stuff on my personal main blog. However....

Any original post I label as Mature with Community Labeling, regardless of if it's truly that sexual/inappropriate or not, should NOT be seen by minors AT ALL if they were truthful about their age when they signed up for Tumblr.

Tumblr allows you to toggle the feature to show Mature content upon turning 18. If a minor interacts with one of those posts, they really shouldn't be able to.

Minors not being truthful about their age on social media and getting into stuff they shouldn't is on them and out of my hands. I am not in charge of a bunch of kids online. I will simply label my stuff properly and hope for the best.

If you are a minor (or identify yourself as one on your blog) and interact with posts of mine that I label as Mature, you run the risk of being blocked.

Younger folks really need to take care of themselves and not be getting into things they shouldn't, and I will be a responsible adult and remove them should I catch them. 'S how it goes.

I personally don't want to block obviously active blogs. I don't. I want you to enjoy my blog and my works just as much as the next writer and blogger. But I have clearly indicated in my bio that my blog is an 18+ space.

I do not write a lot of 18+ content personally, but I do reblog the majority of my mutuals work who DO write 18+ content. And I reblog general adult content. Because I am, we are, adults. We want to make sure our spaces are just as curated as yours.

I don't think we're asking for much here. Just PLEASEEEEEEE have the common sense and decency. Help us help you help others.

Here are some things you need to know before interacting with my blog:

I give new accounts 24 hours to put a profile picture and age (or age range) in their bio! This is an 18+ only blog, and I don't want minors on here!

All my readers are AFAB

I will block any hate on sight. Any comments, reblogs, messages, or anonymous messages that intend to harm or insult me and my work will be blocked.

I have the right to decline any request that is given to me for any reason. My boundaries do not have to make sense to you. You will see this picture on my request sheet/writing guidelines:

My works are not to be posted, translated, published, or fed through AI at all. Any stories posted anywhere besides Tumblr and AO3 (@/its-just-may) have been posted without my permission.

DO NOT feed unfinished stories through AI: AI is getting more and more powerful each day, and the more you send our hard work into those systems it keeps that data to "improve itself." AI is not tolerated on this page, and if you are pro-AI please get off my page.

Given the influx of new followers over the past few days, for which I'm very happy and grateful, I'd like to post a simple reminder:

My tumblr blog is for people aged 18 and older.

My writing is for adults and so are a lot of the things I post due to sexual content.

My blog is a space made by an adult and intended for adults, not for teenagers and/or children.

I respectfully ask that, if you happen to be a minor and are following me, please unfollow me and do not like, share or comment on my writing.

I am not comfortable with minors on here given that there are regulations that could get me in severe trouble if people under the age of 18 are interacting with my adult content.

Please respect this boundary that I have set very clearly. My description says it, my masterlist says it and my fanfic posts say it as well.

so the plan of attack is as follows ------ i'm going to go through my follows and shed some inactives / archives i'm still following. i'm going to go through my Mariana Trench of an inbox as well and clear out what i can, and keep what i feel like is still answerable ( this also means you might be seeing replies to memes that you don't even remember sending and for that i apologize unless you like surprises then ... yay? ) same will happen with drafts, and i'm going to make a physical list of both because somehow i tend to follow through on physical lists i can touch and cross off myself better than a digital tracker.

A small PSA to all those new to dealing with the porn bots that Tumblr now has a fresh wave of – I understand that when you go to report them, you want to report them as "[containing] sexually explicit material", but don't do that. Report them as spam instead.

These are spam bots flooding tags and the website in general with spam links. They often do not have anything sexually explicit on their blog (although they often have implicit material). Plus, these two reports get very different results. Reporting explicit material gets the bot slapped behind an 18+ wall, so minors can't check if they're a bot or not. Reporting spam gets the bot taken down.

Remember, folks: when dealing with a bot, report spam, not smut!

PSA for New Users/Blank Blogs/Ageless Blogs

If you keep getting blocked from content creator blogs there are three major reasons and ways to fix them.

🚩🚩🚩This is a Huge RED flag!🚩🚩🚩

1. Update your avatar. Anything besides the default picture.

2. Update your blog title and description. "Untitled" is a red flag that you are a bot. Something as simple as "Here for the fanfic! 18+" will do it. If you want to follow an 18+ blog, add your age range or 18+ to the blog title/description to let them know you are an adult.

3. Reblog or post something to let us know you aren't just a bot. You can reblog some of your favorite content or make a post that just says "Human. Please don't block me!"

4. Please respect others' boundaries. If a blog says they are 18+, don't follow them if you are a minor. If a blog posts things you aren't interested in, unfollow or block them.

Most of all, be kind. Kindness costs nothing and means everything.

Quick and Legal PSA so that I Legally CMOA Not Get In Trouble: If You Were Born After the Year 2004, Do Not Enter, Until You are Legally 18 And Your Page Shows The Proof

Yeah, looks like I finally had one of those moments where I need to post this PSA. Seems like this person either didn't care or didn't read that I mentioned I'm 40 on my Tumblr account. Or thought that I'd actually go look at their page. This person listed their age as being 17. I quickly blocked her, for obvious legal reasons. I'm sorry what reasons does a 17-year-old want to interact with a 40-year-old? I don't need this kid getting me deactivated, I have that grown-up mature material warnings for my posts set up. Not my job to babysit minors.

A few of my writing stuff for the topic of Domestic Violence and other writing stuff were what made them want to come to follow me. I'd be flattered if she wasn't underage. I write adult stuff and talk about adult topics, that is something I don't need minors seeing or reading. This is my Personal Safe Space Where I Can Freely Be Open To A Extent!

Anyway. if an account Does Not State His/Her Age Where I Can Clearly See It Soon As I Click On The Link Page Or No Picture Headers To Indicate They Are A Actual Person, Their Being Blocked, No If, And Or Buts About It!
