Pickpocket for Hire

It started off as a joke.

No really, it was something that Jason felt the Bats would laugh about, while also helping out some street kids along the way.

He put out a job for the kids of Crime Alley, anyone who could pickpocket the entire Wayne family would get all necessities paid for them by Red Hood until they turned 18.

Most kids that saw the challenge would think it was a joke.

Most kids that believed it was real would think it wasn't even worth trying.

Most kids that tried would be caught immediately, and subsequently get a meal paid for by their Wayne of choice and suddenly have some doors opened for them, because Jason knew his family and knew they had a soft spot for kids.

Except the one thing he didn't account for was Danny Fenton, who most certainly was not most kids.

Showers + whump

Stoic whumpee spending hours in the shower after being reunited with the team because it's the only place they can break down with guaranteed privacy.

Whumpee being too tired to wash themselves standing up so they sit on the floor (then accidentally falling asleep, leading Caretaker to break down the door in panic in case Whumpee was hurt).

Caretaker sitting outside the door to provide support for a whumpee with water related trauma.

Caretaker getting in the shower with Whumpee to help them wash because they're not strong enough to do it alone yet.

Whumpee turning the shower to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) to stop feeling numb or to distract from their feelings being out of control.

Whumpee not showering for ages after being rescued because they're not used to being allowed to.

Caretaker's water bills running astronomically high because Whumpee keeps dissociating and spending hours in the shower every day.

Whumpee finding comfort in the warm water after years of being frozen and left in the cold.

MDZS AU where Jiang Cheng realizes that Lan Sizhui is the Wen orphan that Wei Wuxian took care off during the Burial Mounds arc, decides that's close enough to qualify him as Nephew, declares that no Nephew of His (much less a surrogate son of Wei Wuxian's) is going to be raised in the Cloud Recedes, and immediately launches into a custody battle with Lan Wangji.

But since neither Jiang Cheng or Lan Wangji can acknowledge that Sizuhi has any connection to Wei Wuxian, both begin steadfastly and stubbornly insisting that he is a Cultivator of peerless potential and skill and he belongs in their sect thank you very much, and would clearly be very unhappy in the other's. This confuses the hell out of the already mystified Cultivation world, who had barely adjusted yet to gossiping about Sizhui being Wangji's illegitimate child by mysterious love affair.

(Eventually the common consensus in the rumor mills is that both JC and LW where in love with Sizhui's mother and both believe themselves to be Sizhui's real father.)

(LW couldn't care less what gossips say, but JC has to bite his tongue till it bleeds to avoid telling anyone the truth in a fit of anger.)

(It was Nie Huaisang who put that rumor out in the first place, partly to troll JC, partly because, in a way, it's a little true.)
