• Charlie is a kind and generous person, despite her obvious royal status she does not take advantage of it and also finds it "mean" if she used her status to intimidate other people, she tends to be completely disinterested unless she is in a desperate or dangerous situation with their loved ones. Charlie is a sensitive, very artistic and dreamy person who enjoys musicals, plays, shows and entertaining movies. She is a firm believer in second chances and always strives to understand the tastes and hobbies of others even if they are not entirely to her taste. When she hurts someone else's feelings she tends to exaggerate the situation and blame herself excessively even if it's not a big deal and she tries to make up for her mistake. She is quite skilled when it comes to her supernatural abilities and immense power but curiously she doesn't usually brag about it. and notably prefers to be "simple" and act like a less powerful person. Returning to her emotional sensitivity, Charlie is usually a pacifist but will not hesitate to use her immense power to defend her loved ones even if that includes sacrificing herself or hurting her enemy (only hurting because she is incapable of killing) and intimidating anyone if it is necessary only because of her love for "her people" even if she knows that they would not do it for her, it is easy for her to connect with people thanks to her pure heart.

Kalim Al-Asim

☀️ (Charlie and Emily Interaction 2.0) Kalim is very similar to you, you may be a little less childish but you are both innocent rays of sunshine who like to make others happy.

☀️ Kalim usually drags you with him everywhere to show you things he thinks you will like and you are delighted to see his thousands of animals and all his family's treasures and all the legends that follow them.

☀️ YOU TWO ARE THE LIFE OF THE PARTY, since you are splendid in singing and entertainment activities and Kalim in the organization and planning of banquets and parties... THE DUO IS PERFECT!!! You complement his skills and even help Jamil get at least 5 minutes of rest!

☀️ We all know that Kalim can be a little messy, but on the contrary you have an ENTIRE ITINERARY ORGANIZED IN YOUR HEAD so you usually remind him of certain things he must do and appease many of his extravagant desires with kindness and before Jamil explodes. (Jamil thanks you)

☀️ Kalim realizes some time later that you use your sorcery skills for similar things to what he does! For example, you light light bulbs for Halloween decorations or create fireworks at larger celebrations, it is something that fascinates him because often you hardly use them for anything and he thinks they are very cool!

☀️ At first your little panic attacks surprise him, because he thought you were much more relaxed... Seeing your VERY few moments of pure anger, the poor thing is terrified to see you so angry and your powers almost destroying everything around... fortunately It hasn't happened more than twice and you've never hurt anyone.

☀️ Kalim sees that you are a cheerful and very kind and generous soul like him, you both definitely have certain ideas of "justice" and "redemption" in common.

☀️ The first time he participates in your trust exercises he can tell that you and Jamil were the people he would trust the most, you were too honest to tell him that and Jamil... Well it's Jamil.

☀️ Kalim is a little curious when you introduce him to your two butlers, they look like goats in his eyes but you correct him and tell him that this is just a more friendly and functional way of looking, when you decide to show. Kalim the true form of the goats... THEY ARE TWO HUGE INFERNAL DRAGONS??!!! He is excited and offers to fly with you on his magic carpet, now imagine how terrified all of Scarabia is to see two dragons flying with their dorm leader through the sky... (RIP Jamil viper)

☀️ So you and Kalim are nicknamed "The Sun and the Rainbow of Night Raven College" and you both take care of and cheer up others together!

🐍 Upon meeting you and seeing how naive you seemed he clearly takes advantage of this, using his unique magic on you seeing that you're never particularly as alert as you should be since you arrived at Twisted Wonderland.

🐍 He is surprised by those two goats that follow you and Grimm wherever you go and how they are so protective of you, you explain to him that they are your twin butlers and that your dad gave them to you to guarantee your safety and he doesn't know what to think... why a couple of little goats???

🐍 However, the times he interacts with you while you are not under his control, Jamil can see that in addition to being naive, you are too helpful and kind, offering to help him with his tasks and duties in Scarabia and with Kalim.

🐍 At the time of the Overblot and being sent to the farthest corner of Scarabia, you asked the Octavinelle boys and Kalim to "ride" your two little butlers. Their surprise was pleasant when both goats turned into... COLOSSAL INFERNAL DRAGONS... Floyd he's having fun and Azul is terrified... (I know it doesn't have much to do with Jamil but I had to add Razzle and Dazzle's transformation)

🐍 Also during his Overblot Jamil was able to see for the first time what your anger was like (unleashed by feeling betrayed and Jamil's horrible audacity in controlling Kalim, who fully trusted him) and your powerful chaotic witchcraft, fortunately you have a law of "Not hurting anyone" and you only dedicated yourself to tiring and stunning him until Octavinelle and Kalim's boys hit a final blow.

🐍 After that, Jamil thought that you would be willing to give him some kind of punishment with that powerful "magic" of yours, however his eyes widened when he saw how you extended your hand towards him and talked to him about a second chance.

🐍 From then on he has tried to be as formal as possible, both for your status and for your sensitive personality (He doesn't want to feel a couple of fireworks breaking his eardrums again).

🐍 Every time he discovers more facets of you, your cheerful, almost invasive personality sometimes reminds him of Kalim and he only torments himself thinking that he will have to take care of you too.

🐍 Luckily for him, you are much more responsible and calm than Kalim and you are often the one who gently convinces Kalim to stop his extravagant ideas and he thanks you (not out loud).

🐍 On the other hand, Jamil sometimes doesn't know what to think about you since you listen to him when he starts rambling about his childhood and his desire to be even better than Kalim... And you're also sane enough to remind him that it's not Kalim's fault that Jamil is forced to take care of him 24/7 and that in reality Kalim is just a spoiled child who is too innocent and a bit ignorant to realize that maybe he forgets to give Jamil some space and quiet.

🐍 YOU EVEN PROMISE THAT WHEN YOU ARE THE RULER OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD YOU WILL HELP HIM STOP BEING A SERVANT OF THE ASIM FAMILY. (I see Charlie capable of this, sorry)

🐍 He definitely takes on the role of your protector out of will, seeing that you are perhaps too pure to be there and be labeled with the "Villains".

🐍 You catch him off guard when you say with the purest of smiles and the most honest words that it doesn't bother you when people call you "Villain" because all of them, including him, are your people... they are your family...

🐍 In the end he appreciates your company and your firm beliefs, he strives to make you understand that sometimes you cannot give a second chance to certain people but you always show him the opposite, you become his refuge and a cloth for tears because you are so pure that he He knows that you will never take advantage of his weaknesses.

Charlie is my favorite character from Hazbin Hotel, since this is my first writing I hope you will forgive my mistakes because English is not my native language, I hope you liked it... I'm jumping more onto the Poppy Playtime bandwagon, especially since the Smiling Critters were introduced for Chapter 3 ^.^✨ I really liked the look of them, along with their cartoon teaser that Mob Entertainment released - adorable with a creepy turn at the end 🫣 I really like the look of all the critters but the one I took a shine to the most, was the cheery ray of sunshine (literally😁) and leader - DogDay~🐶☀️I just love his personality and how positive he is, no matter what he and the others get up to in the cartoon >w< Which has inspired me to create a Smiling Critter of my own - so without further ado...meet DeerDelight~!🦌🦋 DeerDelight lives for drama and poetry. Being the most expressive of the critters, she is passionate in her words and believes with the right moves, you can soar on the wings of a butterfly. But performing arts isn't the only thing DeerDelight has her heart set on - DogDay. Eeeyup, you all heard right~😜I am shipping her with DogDay (y'all can't stop me, jk~)💘I can see their relationship inspired by Zipp & Blossom from the 1986 cartoon, The Bluffers (raise ya hand if anyone remembers that show✋🏻I sure do!) Hamtaro x Bijou, Bambi x Faline with a dash of Jack x Sally and Kermit x Miss. Piggy😚 As you can see above, DeerDelight fell for DogDay the moment she laid eyes on him, and has been deeply in love with him ever since~💓 She would do anything for him, believing how magnificent her ray of sunshine is in all he does (her words, not mine🤭) as she looks up to him like the other critters do~ Some of the critters find this funny or cute, or even romantic - especially to Bobby Bearhug~ DogDay is sort of aware of DeerDelight's romantic feelings for him, although he can be a bit sheepish about it now and again, wondering why DeerDelight is quite clingy and very expressive around him (along with her poems and secret love letters about him💌) but he does like her all the same and gradually warms up to her over time. Meaning there is a possibility he'll finally return her feelings one day~🌹(As DeerDelight truly hopes, only time will tell~😉) You'll usually find DeerDelight hanging out with CraftyCorn, since their both artistic critters as they express their passions and sometimes, CraftyCorn likes to draw DeerDelight posing dramatically on her favourite drama couch (inspired by Rarity's own) that DeerDelight likes to use when times get dramatic (and sometimes lets the others sit on it too) Although she can be dramatic most of the time, DeerDelight is a warm and friendly critter to be around with~😌 Wow...😗I wrote more than I planned to!😆Still, hope you all like, my lovelies and enjoy!😊👍🏻🫂Also, DogDay and DeerDelight's ship name will be... ...

I was thinking a lot about Snake hybrid! Rei or Panda hybrid! Rei so I'll made both versions, and you can decide which one you like the most! 💚

Snake hybrid! Rei, like all snakes, has the ability to smell with her tongue. So don't get mad if you see her sticking out her tongue, it's not personal! she's just smelling you <3

+ Snakes have a forked tongue and multiple receptors capable of picking up different amounts of chemical signals, and even though you read about it to learn how to take care of Rei, for a month you were scared to death of that aspect of snakes! and what was Rei doing? sticking her forked tongue out all day just for the sake of it 💚

When you first met Snake hybrid! Rei, you spent most of the day wondering why you could never find her…until you discovered that she goes to lie on the lawn in the garden, when the sun is at its highest, sunbathing and warming herself up ^_^

→ that's why she HATES when someone say she's a 'cold-blooded critter', she puts on the world's most dramatic expression of offence, before giving the explanation that she is 'actually an ectothermic blood animal', meaning that her body temperature is variable and is regulated by external sources, and that's why she sunbathes! ☀️

Snake hybrid! Rei inside Hybrid! IVE is the most calm and quiet! She is a gentle, kind and somewhat silent soul, but that aspect allows her to observe the emotions of others more closely, so she always knows when someone needs some comfort <3 although she is not always good with words, she likes to sit in silence with you (or the girls) and listen to you venting

Snake hybrid! Rei and Cat! Liz are the best friends in the world! they are somehow obsessed with each other, Liz talks and rambles for hours and hours if you let her, and no matter what topic she is talking about (or how dumb it may seem), Rei just sits and is happy to listen

Snake hybrid! Rei hugs VERY HARD (a trait of constrictor snakes) and she does it especially when she gets excited, so sometimes she's afraid to hug too much for fear of hurting you or the girls </3

+ HOWEVER, Cat! Liz doesn't mind that, she thinks Rei's super cozy and warm, and Rei makes her feel safe. So as nap buddies they are inseparable: Liz loves napping with Rei because she is soft and the best cuddler, and Rei loves napping with Liz because she is always gentle with her 🩷

Snake hybrid! Rei is the perfect balance between 'looks like a cinnamon roll, could kill you' and 'looks like they could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll', because even if she is very gentle and kind, she will not hesitate to show her fangs if necessary

Snake hybrid! Rei is described by Bunny! Wonyoung as overprotective but in a nice way, because although she is gentle and basically love, puppies and sugar, a single look from her (as she silently appears behind you, that inherently snake-like habit of hers) is enough to: 1) protect you, 2) mark territory and 3) make her potential rivals pack their bags and go back the way they came.

Every morning, Rei practically glides (because she is light on her feet) around the living room, as she greets the rest of her mates one by one with a soft, comforting hiss. Wonyoung hops around her excitedly, making her floppy ears rise and fall in rhythm with each hop, while Yujin —who is certainly calmer than the energetic bunny— greets her with a gentle tail wag.

"Good morning, Rei!" exclaims Wonyoung cheerfully.

"Ss... good morning, Wonyo," replies Rei, with a gentle smile. The morning light causes a slight flash of light, as it makes contact with her snake fangs.

And plopping down on the deck chair in the courtyard, Rei enjoys the morning by lying still to let the warm rays of sunshine warm her up a little. Whenever you look for where Rei has gone, you don't hesitate to go to the sunniest places in the house. Because where there is sun, there is Rei.

Leeseo and Wonyoung start playing chase each other in the yard, running around like a big ball of brindle fur and the other a little ball of fluffy, snow-white fur. You smile as you watch them interact, and as you move your gaze a little, there is Rei: lying on her deck chair, the sun beating down on her usually cool body, watching her mates play in the distance. Her eyes are serene, and her smile exudes love.

For despite her quiet nature, Rei gets along well with all the pets. They are her mates, and she loves them. That's why they often find comfort in her comforting embrace, and although she sometimes tends to squeeze a little tighter than necessary, she always does it with love.

Sometimes, while doing chores around the house or just hanging out, you see Liz joining Rei, quietly sharing her company. The girls know (and you know too) that although they are all quite close to each other, Liz and Rei are a level beyond. Like soul mates, you think.

And when it gets dark, during the quiet nights, when home is quiet and you're quietly walking to your bed to rest, you see out of the corner of your eye a scene that happens quite often: Liz looking for a warm place to snuggle, finding comfort in Rei's arms.

"Thank you, Rei," you hear Liz purr as she closes her eyes.

"Ss... always here for you, Liz," Rei murmurs tenderly.

It's those moments when you feel most connected to them, when their gentleness and reassurance fill your heart with peace.

And so you can quietly close the door of their room, letting them sleep curled up in Liz's little cat bed (Rei assumes Liz's bed as her own), and head to yours to rest as well.

They'll be just fine.

“Do we have to?” Luke asked nervously, picking at his lip. 

You placed a hand on his shaking thigh for a comforting gesture, rubbing up and down. “I’m afraid so, honey. I know it’s so hard, but afterwards, we can go home and you can relax, okay?”

“I don’t want to. It’s gonna be loud.” he said, voice shaking slightly. 

“That’s why you have your headphones, my love,” You reminded him gently. “I’ll be there to help you, too.”

You and Luke were currently in the parking lot of the grocery store, waiting for him to get comfortable enough to go in. You normally wouldn’t bring him to the grocery store with you because of how much sensory overload it gave him, but you really needed some vegetables for dinner tonight and you two were already by the store after his psychiatrist appointment. 

To be completely honest, Luke being autistic had never, ever affected you negatively. He wasn’t wrong or broken, his brain just worked differently. He was by far the sweetest, most loving boyfriend you had ever had and you treasured him for that. 

“Everyone’s gonna look at me funny…” he said, starting to tear up. 

You cooed, rubbing his arm gently. “They’re just disrespectful idiots, Lu. There’s nothing wrong with accommodating your own needs, baby.” 

Luke sniffled, wiping his tears with the heels of his hands. “I’m ready.” he whispered softly. 

You gave him an encouraging smile and helped him out of the car, holding his hand throughout the parking lot while his other hand played with his fidget necklace. However, your feelings of confidence about Luke being able to handle the store diminished when you stepped inside. 

It was beyond crowded, and there were quite a few children screaming as their parents desperately tried to shop. You glanced up at Luke, already feeling your heart breaking. His shoulders had hunched significantly and he was holding his headphones to his ears, eyes wide with anxiety. You grabbed a cart quickly, knowing you needed to keep a level head right now. 

“C’mon, Lu. Let’s get what we need so we can get home.” You encouraged him. 

Luke held onto the cart, practically gluing himself to your side as you shopped. It wasn’t long before you felt a small tug at your shirt while you were grabbing berries. You turned around to face Luke and nearly cried at the sight you saw. The poor boy had silent tears running down his

face as he hit himself in the chin with his fist, desperately trying to rid himself of the overstimulation. 

“Oh honey,” You cooed. “I’m so sorry, sweetie. I didn’t even notice you weren’t feeling good. Come on, bubba. Let’s go home.” You completely abandoned your cart, taking Luke’s hand and leading him towards the exit at the front of the store. 

‘I wanna go home’ he signed pitifully to you, signifying that he was nonverbal at the moment. 

“We’re going, sweetie,” You said gently as you two stepped out into the parking lot. “Try to take some deep breaths, my love. In through your nose, your through your mouth.”  The blond was trying his hardest, but he was so overwhelmed at the moment that the last thing he was thinking about was his breathing. By the time you helped him into the passenger seat, he was gasping for air, sobbing loudly. You found his communication cards in the center console and handed them to him once he was looking at you. 

“Luke,” You said firmly, but not unkindly. “I need you to breathe. You’re making yourself more overwhelmed right now. Can you copy me?” You asked him. 

Luke slowly began to copy your breathing, which led to him visibly relaxing. Once he had caught his breath, he flipped through the cards before landing on one and showing it to you. ‘I’m overwhelmed’ it read, followed by a card that said ‘I feel sick’. 

“Oh bubba,” You cooed sadly. “Here, I have some things to help, my love.” You made sure not to make any sudden movements before passing Luke a weighted blanket from the backseat (that you kept in the car for this exact reason), his comfort stuffie, and a bottle of water. 

“Try to take small sips, sweetie. I’m going to start driving now. Tap my arm if you feel like you need to throw up, love.” You told him. 

You knew how much Luke’s overstimulation attacks wore him out, but you also knew that he would be able to rest and recharge much quicker at home than in the parking lot. Once your boyfriend nodded, you slowly started driving home, looking over at Luke every now and then. The blond was hugging his stuffed animal to his chest as he snuggled under the weighted blanket, still sniffling. 

By the time you pulled into your driveway, Luke was fast asleep in the passenger seat. You cooed softly, snapping a quick picture of him. He looked like an absolute angel with the afternoon sunshine beaming onto his mop of blond curls. You knew how much energy autistic

meltdowns took out of him, so you continued to let the car idle so he could sleep. After all, the gas in the car was replaceable. The beautiful angel you were so lucky to call your boyfriend wasn’t, so you were content to let him get his rest. In fact, it was therapeutic for you too. 

“My ray of sunshine.” You whispered softly to yourself.

~For all the ballads she writes and songs she sings, Lucy Gray cannot draw, color, or paint(the latter upsets her very most). She’s used to being a natural at things she wants to do, or at least catching on fast, however… not this. Seeing her pout makes you laugh though.

~She cares very much for her appearance, more than some people might think. Always adjusting her hair, looking herself in the mirror. Lucy Gray doesn’t find herself so appealing without her slight makeup. You take pleasure in the way she melts when you hold her and tell her how beautiful she is.

~Lucy Gray loves sweets, bread pudding most of all. It’s hard to come by, but whenever you can, you make some for her. She tears up and gives you the biggest loving doe eyes of all time, always. She’s never ungrateful.

~Lucy Gray can swim, in fact she likes being in the water, nope, not scared at all. That’s what she says anyway, with the biggest smile on her face. The way she clings onto you in the water says otherwise though. You don’t say it, but you know she’s a weak swimmer.

~Lucy Gray turns her nose up to weapons, guns in particular. She hasn’t had the best experiences, but then again, who has? You know how to use some weapons, Lucy Gray can wield a knife but that’s about it. In the dead of night, tangled up in her bedsheets you swear to always protect your songbird. She burrows her face into your chest in affection.

~The brunette doesn’t drink much, despite some contrary belief. But, you have been fortunate(or unfortunate?) enough to interact with a drunk Lucy Gray Baird a couple times. She slurs her words nearly beyond comprehension, and kisses you just about non-stop. When she’s not busy doing that, she’s trying to walk, face planting on the floor or saying things sober Lucy Gray would be embarrassed about the following day.

~Lucy Gray has a surprisingly weak stomach, if she particularly dislikes something she won’t be able to stomach it. Not for lack of trying though. Once you’d made her cake for her birthday, but you’d been sold salt instead of sugar. Somehow she’d managed to eat a full slice. “Best cake ever, thank you sugar.” She’d croon with a strained smile. Needless to say, she ended up very sick that night.

~She’s a very good cuddle partner. Usually at night she likes to be little spoon, but during most of the day Lucy Gray will spoon you. Her favorite way to cuddle you is for you to lay your head on her chest, stomach, or lap. Anywhere where she can reach your hair and give it tiny braids that would likely come out within minutes. Lucy Gray likes to be cuddled close in your arms. Laying on your sides facing each other is fine with her, but tenfold points if she can just lay on top of you with her head on your chest. She loves to listen to your heart.

Bombs on Monday Morning

Summary: In which, C/N had built a relationship with Y/N only for her to be gone sooner than he hoped.

A/N: This is maybe the second time I've posted a post like this. My first one was about Haikyuu and a Hispanic partner. Check it out if you'd like :) Anyway though, I've had this in my mind for so long and it's been in my drafts for so long. I just was a bit self conscious about posting it. It was inspired by the song "Bombs on Monday Morning" by Melanie Martinez because I've been obsessing over her for some reason. It's meant to be the ending of one of the stories I'm writing. If you'd like to hear about it, send me an ask. I will say, I still don't have a character for the story. Let me know, if you'd like, who you think would be the best suited for this. It can be from any fandom but I tagged the ones that I have been more in touch with. I hope you enjoy 🩵

Third Person P.O.V.

C/N was on their way to the hospital as they had made it a routine since that day. Ever since they met Y/N when visiting a sick family member, it just became something they needed to do everyday. They stumbled into her on the way to the room and he was thankful for that day. Even for being in there because of their condition, they were always so bright, like a ray of sunshine. Even after their sick family member had gotten better, they still went to visit Y/N.

Flashback

As C/N walked into the hospital with a small gift, they had asked for the floor level of their sick relative. They had taken the elevator up until they heard the ‘ding!, signaling their arrival to the preferred floor. As they were on their way out, they bumped into someone and stumbled back a bit. Just as they were about to say something, their eyes met Y/N’s eyes. A beautiful shade of E/C that could persuade anyone into their wishes. Just as they were about to speak, Y/N beat them to it.

“Oh, sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you. Did I hurt you or anything?” Y/N had asked as they looked at C/N.

“Oh, um, no. You’re good. I shouldn’t have come out so quickly. So, I’m sorry.” C/N replied and Y/N smiled softly. Just as they were about to enter the elevator, a nurse came rushing around the corner and sighed softly.

“Y/N! You know you can’t just bolt out of the room like that! Come on now. You have your treatment soon and you can’t consume anything. It will affect the results.” The nurse had said and Y/N sighed softly. They nodded before turning back to C/N.

“Sorry again for bumping into you. See ya.” Y/N said before walking towards the nurse and walked with her back to their room. That was the first time C/N ever felt any sort of emotion towards anyone that they didn’t consider family, yet.

Flashback Over

‘Bombs are falling. On Monday morning. Waiting for the news together. An explosion, any moment. You make moments last forever and ever. (You make moments last forever)’

It was Monday morning when C/N was walking into the hospital with Y/N’s favorite flowers, F/F, as they knew the ones from a few visits ago would be wilted by now. As soon as they walked into the hospital, however, they felt a different kind of atmosphere. It was almost like something was wrong. The nurse at the front desk gave them a pitiful look but C/N brushed it off. They went up to Y/N’s room, number 501  and knocked on the door. They didn’t hear anything which was odd to them. Knocking again and no answer, they walked in to find no one in the bed. The room was completely bare of Y/N’s things. They had looked around the room and didn’t find anything. Walking back out with the flowers still in hand, they found Y/N’s doctor, who recognized C/N.

“Oh, C/N? What are you doing here?” The doctor asked as she looked at them.

“I came to see Y/N. Did they move rooms?” C/N asked and the doctor gave them an awkward look.

“No, not exactly. I thought their family would’ve told you this…” The doctor said which made C/N more confused.

“Told me what? Wait, did Y/N’s treatment work?! They got better, right?! That’s the only reason they wouldn’t be here! Oh god, I better go see their family! See ya doc!” C/N said with excitement. They rushed out of the hospital without letting the doctor tell them what was actually wrong. They ran as fast as they could to Y/N’s home to see them. On their way, they couldn’t help but remember the time they had met Y/N’s family.

Flashback

C/N and Y/N were too lost in their conversation to realize the two adults stood in the doorway. A throat was cleared and both Y/N and C/N looked over with a faint red tint in their cheeks.

“Mom, dad? I thought you guys were coming later?” Y/N said as they awkwardly scratched the back of their head.

“We were but I was able to get off work early and your dad’s appointment finished sooner than he anticipated. So, we came to surprise you with some lunch. Who’s your friend?” Y/N’s mother asked.

“Oh, well, remember that day I ran into someone just before getting onto the elevator. This is them. Mom, dad, this is C/N. C/N these are my parents.” Y/N said softly with a small smile. C/N stood up and held their hand out to them.

“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. L/N. Y/N is such a lovely person. They are so kind and sweet. I’m so glad I met them.” C/N said with a blush on their cheeks, causing Y/N to blush and their parents to chuckle softly.

“Would you like to join us for lunch? We usually eat in the cafeteria of the hospital.” Y/N’s mother said and C/N’s eyes widened a little.

“Are you sure? I don’t want to disrupt any sort of tradition you guys do or anything of that sort.” C/N said and their parents shook their heads.

“No it’s okay, hun. Come on. Let’s go before lunch is over.” Y/N’s mother said as they walked out of the room. C/N looked back at Y/N who got out of their bed and smiled.

“At least they like you. Now come on. Let’s go.” Y/N said before taking C/N’s hand and dragging them along.

Flashback Over

‘Never thought that something. Something so tragic. Could ever happen to. Our peaceful, little perfect family’

C/N reached Y/N’s home and knocked on the door with excitement. When Y/N’s mom answered, she was shocked to see C/N. Her eyes were red and puffy which confused C/N.

“Mrs. L/N, where’s Y/N? She’s not in the hospital. So, her treatment must’ve worked right? She’s home, right?” C/N said and Y/N’s father appeared in the doorway too. He also had puffy red eyes which confused C/N more. “Mrs. L/N, Mr. L/N…What’s going on?”

“Why don’t you come inside dear?” Y/N’s mother said softly as they both stepped aside and let C/N inside. C/N was confused but walked in anyway. They led them to the living room and sat them down on the couch.

“I thought the doctor might have told you but it seems like she didn’t. So…You know the disease that Y/N had, right?” Y/N’s father said softly and C/N nodded.

“Yeah, Huntington’s Disease. They were doing a research study and trial on Y/N for a treatment…” C/N said as they looked at Y/N’s parents. Both parents nodded and sighed softly. Tears filled their eyes as they tried to keep a calm head.

“Well…T-The treatment was helping for some time as you know. But then…T-The treatment started to not work anymore and her condition was getting worse. The day we told you to not show up anymore…It wasn’t because we don’t like you, dear. We like you very much. You’re like our own child to us. It’s because…They started to lose their thinking abilities and their movements were starting to get out of control. They were starting to have seizures again and they were starting to act out irrationally. They were getting worse. A-And then…They were starting to not be able to speak or swallow without help…Eventually, they weren’t able to process anything as well as she could and slowly, their heart rate was dropping…They..They flatlined this morning…I’m sorry, C/N…Y/N passed away this morning…” Y/N’s mother said through her tears. Y/N’s father rubbed their back as he tried to hold back his own tears.

It felt as if C/N’s world came crashing down. The person they cared for the most, the one they loved and cherished dearly had passed away and they didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. C/N’s tears slowly cascaded down their face as the information had processed. A sob escaped past their lips until they couldn’t stop them anymore. Y/N’s parents went over to C/N and held them tightly. For several minutes, C/N had cried into Y/N’s parents arms until they had managed to calm down. Y/N’s parents informed them of the funeral and that they would like for them to join. C/N agreed and left after some time to their home.

Three Years Later

‘I promise, Promise to love you’

Walking down the flat grass pathway, C/N held a small bouquet of flowers until they reached the spot they were looking for. It was Monday morning, the same day that everything changed for C/N. They stood in front of the headstone and stared at it for some time. Squatting down, they changed the flowers in the small flower holder next to the stone. They sighed as they sat down and prayed quietly for a few minutes. C/N opened their eyes and stared at the headstone. “L/N Family Grave”. C/N felt tears fall down their cheeks and they tried to calm them down.

“I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to cry Y/N…I just…You’re the first person I’ve ever lost that I can’t get over…I wish we had more time together. I really miss you. I know you’re probably thinking that I can just find someone else but…I can’t…I don’t think I’ll ever be able to move on…I never got the chance to tell you…I love you, Y/N and I won’t ever stop even though you are gone.” C/N said as they wiped their tears away. A small breeze brushed through their hair as they looked down to try and stop their tears. They felt a sudden small pressure on their head and looked up. They squinted their eyes as a bright light was in front of them. They gasped softly as they saw how it looked as if it was the spirit of Y/N.

“I love you too, C/N…But you need to move on. I wish we met before I had my condition too…But I promise…There will be better people than me. I’ll always hold you deep in my heart just like you do to me…Bye bye, C/N. I love you…” Y/N said softly before the bright light disappeared and C/N had more tears streaming down their cheeks. They sobbed softly for a few minutes before taking a deep breath as they stared down at the ground.

“Pinky promise. I'll still love your garden. Even with no flowers. Even with no flowers. Doctor's orders. Don't be brokenhearted. Time will still be ours. Time will still be ours…” C/N said softly as they remembered the song that Y/N always listened to. Maybe it was their way of telling C/N that they didn’t want C/N to be brokenhearted because no matter what, the time they had was still theirs. And they would always be together.

"You should be more careful.” She secures the end of the bandages that she just finished wrapping around his middle, “I…You can’t go dying on me and leave me alone, got it? I won’t let you rest in peace if you do!”

"I won't. You have my word."

I won’t.

It is the fate of being with a flower that will inevitably wither.
