Opinions on Silver x Tikal?

Never considered it. I put Silver with Blaze, and I see Tikal as ace. It’s always seemed to me that her story is complete anyway. Sonic Adventure isn’t super clear about it, so I could be wrong, but I always thought she and Chaos ascended to the afterlife at the end of the game. The purpose that bound her to the world of the living was complete. She’s all set.

Silver’s known for time traveling, of course, so he could potentially meet up with her before that, but wouldn’t interacting with her potentially mess up the timeline? Seems risky to me. And any interactions they could have would be short-term.

I love Silver x Blaze because it really gets to me when I see Blaze, who’s normally so distant and serious, being endeared by a sweet, dorky, idealistic boy. I adore their dynamic. Tikal’s great, but she just doesn’t have that. She and Silver would be fast friends and they’d work together to save the world if it somehow ever came to that, but I just don’t see them having any kind of romantic chemistry.

I could see Silver having a one-sided crush on Amy--it’s hard not to with how cute their initial meeting is--but I could only ever see him in an actual relationship with Blaze. He’s too attached to her.

Okay, so first of all Dan would like to say it’s not his fault. Ellie was the one to bring some unknown object into the speeder and Jazz was the one driving. Or had Sam been driving- didn’t matter! It wasn’t his fault, he wasn’t the one shooting at them, he wasn’t the one to break whatever, he was not the one to open a stupid portal, and so it wasn’t his fault! 

So why is he now like, five years old, and why is the speeder crashed in some sort of corn field. Why is everyone- except for Jazz whose now like six- also like three at most?! And- oh fuck the door just opened and… okay that’s a kid. Like, nine at most. 

A kid and an adult, who he hadn’t noticed at first so again, it’s not his fault if he hissed at them and tried to hide his not-siblings behind him. It’s also not fair they’re apparently stuck to ghost speak for who knows how long, but at least they can understand the people.

Now, unfortunately, I don’t have too much of an understanding of Duke’s character since he’s not often mentioned in the DpxDc fandom (or dc in general) but what I do know from when Duke does appear is that he is Bruce’s favorite child.

The apple of the man’s eye, because Duke is just so kind. He’s soft in a way that the others aren’t.

Duke is the daytime vigilante and one who kicks ass in yellow.

And then you have Sam.

Black clothing mixed with dark colors, heavy belts and laced fish-nets, coupled with rbf. She dislikes burning underneath the sun, wears heavy combat boots when it suits her, and when it doesn’t she’ll find some alternative that will still match to the deeply adored goth style.

She loves animals more than people, but is so fiercely protective of her friends. She’s got bite to her words, and doesn’t often see the best in others, not when she has been disappointed in some way or another by her parents, by other students, by a literal government agency that does more harm than good. But she has her heart in the right place all the same.

Sam is the type who you will believe has fist fought the police.

She technically HAS fist-fought the police.

She may not be a vigilante, but she had assisted one and knows exactly what sort of cause and effect can bring the best distraction and disaster all at the same time.

With all that said I propose the idea of “opposites attract” being cute trope for a Duke and Sam pairing.
