Solar Eclipse Viewing Safety!

With the annular eclipse tomorrow, thought I’d drop a friendly reminder to always protect your eyes when viewing a solar eclipse! Directly viewing the sun even during an eclipse can cause lasting damage to your eyes, even if you use dark sunglasses.

You can use specialized eclipse viewing glasses to check things out tomorrow, but if you don’t have access to them you can make a homemade pinhole viewer! NASA had a quick video from the last eclipse that is a nice how-to for anyone who wants to make their own.

What is it?

Every Sunday at 9 PM MST I will post a new chapter from one of my WIPS on AO3. They range in fandoms because I am in quite a few, but the currents in rotation include Stranger Things, Marvel MCU, All Spider-Man/Venom variations, Detroit Become Human, Twilight, HP, and The Breakfast Club. You can almost always assume queer/poly dynamics :D

First image: The Searcher, The Edible, and The Eclipse (God I hate having ocs named after the thing they're looking at) having fun during totality. Eclipse doesn't need glasses because thats just how they're built.

Second image: Radio Signals and Old Drift are looking up at the sky as totality approaches. They don't need glasses because Iterator = Maximum optic protection.

Third Image: Shadow of Leaves and The Scorpion are staring at the banana sun. Leaves doesn't need glasses because of the aformentioned reason. Scorpion still does tho.
