Day Of The Dead
This is a Danny Phantom Fanfic
Word count: 1,265
Warnings: mentions of death, experiencing intense pain
When you think of the day of the dead, you generally think of the Mexican holiday. However, in the ghost zone, day of the dead is a separate occasion. It is the day when every dead haunt feels the pain they felt when they died. Not every ghost does, only dead haunts do. A dead haunt is a ghost who died as a human. The other ghosts that dont feel this pain are manifest haunts who were ghosts created from the negative and angry thoughts of other ghosts.
Skulker was one of those manifest ghosts. He never understood this day. This day was treated as a truce, just like Christmas. He hated it, there was no one around to hunt or bother. He growled and kicked a rock, sending it floating into the ghost zone. “Where is he?!” He yelled, blasting the floating rock with his blaster.
His best friend Technus was supposed to be meeting him today to talk about evil schemes. He knew Technus felt pain, but he figured it would only last a few minutes. Skulker didn't know much about the genius tech wiz’s past, but he didn’t think it was much. However he was getting nervous, maybe he should check on him.
Wings unfolded from the back of his mech suit, starting up the engines. The jetpack carried him across the ghost zone. It felt eerie, no one was out. Usually a few would be out causing mayhem, or at least just being out, but no one was. Finally, the small lab Technus called his lair came into view. Skulker landed outside and walked towards it. It looked like your stereotypical crazy mad scientist laboratory.
Skulker grabbed the door handle and tried to push it opened. Locked. “Dammit Technus.” They didn’t need locks, so why the hell did he lock his door? Well, he can always phase through the wall. His body went transparent and pushed his hand against the door. He was supposed to phase right through, but a shock made him reel his hand back. “Dammit!” He yelled. Technus must have installed a trap.
Skulker spent fifteen minutes trying to figure out how to get inside. Technusmust have a ghost-like field that will only let them in if the door is opened. He decided to give up, if Technus wanted to hang out he’d have come out already. He turned to go, readying his jetpack.
Then he heard a scream. It was a blood curdling scream, filled with agony. Skulker turned around and pounded on the door. “TECHNUS?!” It had to be Technus screaming. He needed to get to him, but how?
An idea struck him, and he knew he’d regret it. “I’m doing this for you Technus, just hang in there.” He mumbled as he typed something into his PDA strapped to his wrist. His jetpack came back out, and he shot back out into the ghost zone.
Walker’s prison loomed into view and Skulker landed outside the gates. He could hear the groans of pain from the prisoners from out here. At least Walker didn’t have a ghost field.
Skulker walked into the prison, right towards the Warden’s office. Walker’s office. Walker wasn’t exactly a threat to Skulker, but he was strong enough to put up a fight so the bounty hunter didn’t tangle with the warden. Without knocking he threw the door open and let himself in.
A man in an old style cowboy hat and white jacket looked up from the desk he sat at. He was slumped over, gripping his chest. Skulker didn’t know Walker was a dead haunt. “What do you want, Skulker?” Walker asked as he gripped the edge of the chair, pain racking through his chest.
“The Skeleton Key. Hand it over Walker.” Skulker demanded. That key can open any lock in both the human and ghost world. With that key he could get into Technus’ laboratory. “Now!” He yelled.
Walker did not look impressed. He leaned back against his chair, the bullet hole in his jacket visible. That was how he died. “That’s against the rules, Skulker, I can’t do that. Besides, do you really want to bother me today? Today of all days? I do not want to deal with whatever scheme you have brewing in that thick skull of yours.” He informed him.
“Technus is in trouble. I don’t know what’s happening but he’s screaming so loud I’m shocked you can’t hear it! He’s hurt, Walker, and I want to help him. I can't get in his lair without that key. Using the key is against the rules, but helping a ghost in need isn’t. I know that. Now give me the key.” He held his hand out expectantly.
Walker rolled his eyes, however Skulker wasn’t wrong. He had a responsibility to protect the ghosts, so if Technus really was in danger then he should give Skulker the key. He sighed and opened up the drawer under his desk, taking out a green key with a skull at the top. Reluctantly he placed the key in his hand. “If that key ain’t back in my hand by sundown, you’ll have a worse punishment than the man that killed me.” He threatened.
Skulker took the key and flew off without even a thank you. He was worried, which wasn’t an emotion Skulker was used to. He felt a certain way when he was around the tech genius, fuzzy and warm inside.
As soon as he reached the laboratory he put the key in the key hole. The door creaked open and he barreled through that door, finally able to enter. The screams of agony louder inside.
“TECHNUS!” Skulker yelled, announcing his presence. A groan as a response came from the basement, where he resided. Skulker booked it down the stairs towards the electrical ghost’s screams.
What he saw terrified him, and he wasn’t easy to scare.
The room was destroyed. Monitors were smashed, tools were scattered and shelves were knocked over. In the middle of it lay the neon green ghost Technus, his wiry white hair sprawled out around him as he screamed and screamed. The way he moved, it was horrific. He writhed as if he were being tortured.
The bounty hunter kneeled down and scooped Technus up in his arms, pulling him close. He wasn't sure how to comfort him but he tried. “Technus, I’m here. It’s ok. You're safe.”
Technus didn’t try to get away, but he continued to writhe and scream for hours. After about six hours of screaming, he relaxed against Skulker’s chest, curling up and whimpering.
Skulker rubbed his back and sighed. “Technus, tell me…how did you die?” He asked softly. He never knew what happened to the poor man.
It took a minute for the other man to respond, but finally he did. “When I was in my twenties a few men kidnapped me..they claimed I could help them hack some military computers to get the codes they needed. I don’t remember a lot about it…they tortured me..” He groaned, pulling Skulker a little closer. “After beating me half to death and realizing I couldn’t help them…They threw me in a pool and put high voltage wires in it. It lasted for hours..it was the most pain I had ever felt.” He admitted. Finally he looked up at him. “Thank you for being here for me…no ones ever been here for me..”
Skulker smiled and leaned back against the wall, pulling Technus on top of him in a comforting manner. “I will never leave your side…”

Always Favors You
Another Sibling Danny and Jason idea!!
"Are you Jason Peter Todd?!" demanded a deep and commanding tone from the strange glowing being in front of them.
All the Bats stiffened and tensed, no doubt gearing up for a fight against the being that somehow knew Red Hood's full name.
Jason, Red Hood, decided to put on a brave front despite no doubt cursing in his head and wondering how the heck did this thing know his full freaking name.
"Whose asking." he snarled out, his hands twitching for his gun when the huge glowing knight with purple flames coming out of his helmet and cape, who was riding on a nightmare looking horse while they all had been in the cave going over tonight's patrol.
The Knight didn't seemed bothered by his response nor did he even seem to care or flinch when Batman made his own demand on 'Why was he there and who was he' or when Damian unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards him. Instead the strange glowing Knight reached to it side and pulled out... A glowing scroll? Huh. (Also he completely unnerved everyone in the room when the Knight didn't even react when Batman had tossed a Baterang when he reached for his side)
The Knight opened the scroll and spoke clearly with purpose.
"Jason Peter Todd,
You are hereby invited as a special guest of honor to the crowning of our future King of the Infinite Realms.
Daniel Phantom, once Daniel Jackson Fenton, and once Daniel Austen Todd.
Prince of the Infinite Realms, the Keeper of Balance, The Peacekeeping Halfa, the Defeater of the Tyrant King Pariah Dark, The Great One, Youngest of the Ancients, Ancient of Space, The Bridge between Life and Death.
You, the half-brother of our King, have been given the highest of honors for your past actions and will be given housing and food in the Realms and Phantom's Keep, for the week long event. Personal servants and attendants will be at your disposable and a seamstress will be on hand to tailor make your attire for the Coronation.
Signed: Clockwork. Ancient of Time. Watcher of the Infinite Timeline. Kronos. Mentor and Adviser.
PS: I shall have Fright Knight ("Me" the Knight bluntly said for a second) leave this scroll along with a personal one for you from Daniel to read over and once you make up your mind sign the bottom of the scroll.
I do hope in time you will pick the right choice Jason Todd, we of the Infinite Realms would like to reward you for your actions. After all, if you hadn't gotten young Daniel away from your father that night all those years ago, we would never had gained our Prince nor be free from our once Tyrant King.
Ah, one more thing.
The Infinite Realms will always favor you Jason."
Jason felt like he couldn't breath as Fright Knight? Rolled up the scroll, pulled a letter from his side, and held out the two items for him to take.

Amity Park hates the Justice League but loves Red Hood and sometimes other heroes
A/n: I got this random idea so here it is. Oh, and this is good reveal AU ok?
-------
Due to the Justice League mocking them and ignoring their villain problems that were also publicly interdimensional problems, everyone hates the JL. It got worst with the GIW coming in, who blatantly went against the meta-laws (which included aliens, demons and so much more that weren't human from the beginning). They started to think the Justice League supported them.
In the Infinite Realms, however, there's a revenant that many adored and others respected. He did not hold back against criminals. Criminals that would rape, kill, traffic, sell drugs, and more to people. He especially didn't like when they brought kids into this. He'd avenge people the way they should've been: by promising that their abuser/killer/whatever wouldn't be able to do it again. And in the place they lived in, the only way for that to be possible was by major injury, heavy social outcasting, and/or death. Most prefer the 3rd.
And after how long the Amitians dealt with the attacks which eventually came to a slow once or twice a week type thing, they started opening their minds to the idea of coexistence. Well, further than they had. So when people started to cross over and start making their small haunts in their side of the veil, the Amitian's began to become aware of the popular hero Red Hood. He was part of the undead community, which was trustworthy in everyone's books.
So Amity Park started making merch. Most of it was for Team Phantom, but there was plenty for Red Hood as well. There were other heroes on the side, like for Superboy 1 (who they renamed to Supernova due to their hatred for Superman for 2 reasons, the obvious and that he rejected a mirror-born), and Raven (the half demon).
And with this coexistence, Team Phantom had noticed the positive feedback about killing in the name of vengeance. So they went on the offensive, and after a good year of that, the GIW lost funding for producing no results and just taking up resources. The acts were still there, but nobody enacted them in Amity, and nobody actually knew or believed them outside of the haunted city.
Then the Justice League find out about the hero group there due to tracking merchandise after they started to sell outside of the city. Superman was the guy everyone liked, so he was sent over. He immediately got thrown out and was now questioning who the heck Supernova was and when he rejected him.
Flash? Outcast. Everyone ignored and walked away from him. they had the police, who never did anything or even had to anymore, kick him out.
Green Lanter? Oh the poor guy. He had his ring taken away and thrown out of the city somehow. It took hours to find it.
Wonder Woman, they had to be ok with her. Not at first, but once Phantom had a talk with her and people learned that they were cousins through Clockwork (Kronos) and Pandora, they were ok. ish. Tolerated was the best word and she got the info back to the league.
The batfamily took a trip there, dragging Red Hood along somehow. And right when Red Hood was noticed, a crowd began to form as everyone practically worshipped him. There were many victims he had avenged and an Ancient (Lady Gotham) came and gave him the gifts she couldn't without scaring the guy.
At one point, the poor guy even cried.

Danny wasn't sure what to do. Was this legal? He knew the bats were part of the Justice League and whatnot but surely they can't just pick him up off the street after he got into a brawl with some creeps trying to mug him!
Sure, Nightwing had jumped down to help and Danny, still in his living form with its crappy human vision, thought he was another mugger because of the dark and attacked him too.
Now he's sitting in the back seat of the batmobile with his hands in wierd bat handcuffs.
Was everything these guys owned bat themed? Yeah his parents put there last name in all the titles of their inventions but they had a brand to sell so it was excusable. Batman however, is clearly living out his bat shaped dreams. Usually Danny was all for the furrys doing thier thing, one of his best friends was a proud furry and Danny 100% supported him, but there was a line you don't cross and tall dark and fuzzy crossed it when he kidnaped one 14 year old Danny Fenton.
He couldn't Go Ghost right in front of Batman and Nightwing but he could use the one thing his mom made him take with him everywhere since he was a little boy.
His panic button.
It was powered by ectoplasm and could get through signal jammer with no problem. If he pressed the button his parents would drop everything to come save him. They made sure to put little sirens and flashing lights in thier own hazmat suits to make sure they didn't accidentally miss it. Sure they looked hilarious the few times he had seen it go off in his life but it was highly effective.
So he pushed the button and his parents were charging torward them in record time, the GAV playing chicken with the freaking batmobile. Suddenly his mothers voice came from the panic button, "Are you in the front of back, sweetie?"
"I, uh." He stuttered, looking up at the shocked face of Nightwing before answering, "The back."
"Perfect." He mother said darkly.
A trio of high mechanical whines filled the air and Danny didn't need to look through the windshield to know the buzz saws were out.
----
Bruce just wanted to know why Danny Fenton, youngest of the Fenton Family and son of Jack Fenton and Madeline Walker, two people whose marriage brokered peace between thier prospective mafia syndicate families, was doing in Gotham beating up low level thugs.
He was not expecting overprotective mad scientist parents.

Ghost Zone Breakout Au
So! Danny is missing. Maybe it's a Vivisection AU and he ran away, maybe he got trapped by one of his Rogues, either way, Danny is gone and his Rogues are free to spread across the planet.
Walker in particular has an interesting adventure.
After Danny trashed his Prison and broke Wulf out, people realized that it wasn't as impenetrable as he made it out to be. And what's an army of Immortal Criminals to do when given all the time in the world? They test each and every method they can to break in or to escape.
Danny's actions caused a Domino Effect that lead to Walkers Prison being torn apart from both the inside and the outside. He lost his Territory, his Power, and most of his Guards. So he decided to start again in the Mortal Realm.
And he found the perfect New Haunt.
Arkham.
He's never seen such a sorry Prison in his AfterLife (It's an asylum). Criminals breaking in and out every other week, no prisoner staying for longer than a month at most, and nobody is doing anything to fix it.
He needs to remedy this.
So one night, he and his Army of Ghostly Guards attack the Prison. They Overshadow whatever guards are on Duty, take control of the Prison Systems, and Initiate a Total Lockdown.
Walker then sends out a Message.
"People of the Mortal Realm. I an Warden Walker, the new Head of this here little Prison. We have seen how terrible this sorry excuse for a prison is, and decided to take it upon ourselves to fix it. From now on, we will be the Guards of this Arkham. Send your prisoners here, and they will stay here. Try to break in, and you will never leave. Try to force us out, and you will join our undead Ranks. This is not a Negotiation, this is not a Request, this is an Announcement. If you have a problem with this, then I will be happy for personally meet you. I am in need of new employees after all."
After this message, many tried to stop him, but none were successful. He didn't seem to understand that a Prison is meant to hold Prisoners for a determined amount of Time, not forever. Or that it wasn't a Prison in the first place, it was an Asylum to treat the mentally ill.
The Bats could do anything either. Any time they tried to take back the prison, they were beaten back by the Possessed Guards and Ghostly Guards patrolling the grounds. And they didn't want to hurt the Hostages.
They needed a solution, so they got to digging.
Apparently they weren't the only ones who were dealing with Ghost Related Issues. All across the world, powerful Ghosts were claiming large areas of land as their new Haunts, weaker Ghosts were running Rampant in the spaces in between, and JLD was being run ragged as they tried to help wherever they could.
It was a worldwide issue, and they needed to find the Cause.
After a lengthy investigation, they found that all the Ghosts originally came from one Place. A small town in Illinois where they had been trying to break into the Mortal Realm for years, but they had been stopped by another. A Ghost who protected the Mortal Realm from the powerful Spirits of the Dead.
If they had any hope of containing this threat, they needed his help. They needed to find Phantom.

DCXDP prompt
During a rouge attack(your choice) a local graveyard in Gotham was damaged. Afterward, some local corrupted businessmen decided that clearing out the land and moving the graves was a great idea.
Not soon after the "clean up" began a gray-skinned teen with flaming blue hair showed up, and boy was she angry. She began yelling, screaming at the people the workers for digging up her grave.
When she was only met with patronizing responses she used her guitar to destroy some of their equipment. She was only the beginning though. Soon a equally gray looking biker guy and his green girlfriend showed up and started chasing people off.
Even some angry blue guy showed up one morning yelling about how ' they would pay for braking open his box.' (Braking his casket) wasn’t till they accidentally damaged a statue of one of Gothams most famous wardens that it really hit the fan.
The Bats call in Justice League Dark for help with this issue and no matter what they were thinking was going to happen. No matter what hoops they thought they would have to go through to resolve this. They did not expect Constantine to call a fourteen year old for back up.
- So in canon Ember died in a house fire. I could totally see that happening as a result of a rouge attack.(Like Firefly or the Joker, maybe)
Johnny and Kitty died in a motorcycle accident. So maybe they were trying to out run the police? Run from people they had gambling debts with?
The Box Ghost was a warehouse accident. Probably as an example the Mob wanted to make to the warehouse owner after not wanting to pay for protection. Or perhaps he was a whistle-blower?
Walker died in a prison riot, and seeing how Gotham is the place to find violent criminals. Would it be that much of a stretch to say it was Gotham penitentiary? I think not.

DP x DC prompt [19]
A couple days ago, or maybe it’s been a week now, there had been a horrid storm.
It had been bad enough on the surface but underwater it had caused extremely powerful currents that have dragged a very young Garth away and into the unknown.
He really should have listened to Atlan and stayed put…
Lost and alone, a Little Garth has found himself a lot closer to the surface than usual, the sea currents are still churning pretty bad and he simply can’t navigate his way back to anything remotely familiar.
At this point he’s quite hungry and tired, and he’s found that catching something is somewhat easier nearer to the surface.
However, now something entirely different has caught his attention.
still safely tucked away under the waves. Garth is watching two surface dwellers. judging by size they should be even younger than Garth is, which probably means their caretaker(s) are nearby.
Garth is about to leave them to it and go his own way when he catches on to the erratic kicking movements of the smallest one.
oh, he’s pretty sure surface dwellers aren’t supposed to stay underwater that long, that is if Atlan’s stories are correct.
And even though he’s somewhat terrified, he finds he can’t just… though he probably should…
Well, he ends up saving Danny from drowning.
Jazz and Danny’s parents are busy with a supposed haunted shipwreck and not paying attention.
But by saving Danny Garth found by Maddie and Jack. Who are worried that Garth is there all alone which is like... kinda hypocritical but whatever.
No ghost, but they got a sea boy!
and that quickly has them reassessing their disappointing conclusion that the wreck isn’t haunted, clearly the ghosts are somewhere underwater! After all, the ship was lost at sea and simply washed ashore.
Garth can’t really communicate that great with the Fenton’s. He doesn’t know english, and they do not have telepathy, the only thing he can catch from them is impressions of their emotions, which does make figuring out “yes” and “no” a bit easier.
At first he decides to accept their offer of shelter and food simply because he’s tired and hungry, and they seem like good people even if they are from the surface.
Then Garth makes the mistake of getting attached. All of a sudden he’s put in a eldest brother role. Jazz is determined to teach him english with her kid books and Danny has been attached to him like a barnacle ever since Garth got him out of the water.
And Garth’s needs aren’t even remotely treated as some sort of annoyance, they make note of his need for lots of water and adapt easily.
Everything is extremely overwhelming but thankfully for Garth they don't make the offer to take him with them to Amity Park right away.
They are on a family trip so they stick to the sea for another week and a half or so. After that they ask if he wants to just come with, Danny basically begs him, having an older brother seems like the best thing ever to him.
And Garth ends up taking the offer cause the last week was better than most of his lonely life so far, even if everything is weird and difficult and he can't communicate right.

I found a collection of Phantom drabbles called "Ghosts in Shorts". One chapter had Walker capturing Danny in his true ghostly form - a tiny, helpless blob - and putting him in a jar to spoon-feed the "powerful, but starving and frightened, wild child" of thick ectoplasm.
This is so cute and I immediately thought of your Little Baby Man! LBM in a Walker jar!
Tumblr media
Walker may be harsh, but no one can resist the puppydog eyes.
No one.
I wish we got some nice!Walker in the show :')

Danny, the Lawful Civlian, has too much fun.
It all started as Danny read the stupid law book of Walker! That was how Danny started to create as much chaos as possible by following the law, especially to ridicule extremes! And man, that is fun, with Walker getting so angry at him and Bullet trying to stop Walker as he broke no laws. + Walker showed Danny this new realm, with many loopholes in the law. And he said he should have fun. And Danny had so much fun here; he found a friend in Klarion, and the Poor Justice League was going crazy! The rules that exist so they can legally be heroes are now abused by that child who is having too much fun!
- Walker only will take danny back when he fixed the Rule book, and that will take long.
