If you want, you can reblog and add another factor of life that is needlessly binarised that should be called out. Natural life lacks binaries. Human life lacks binaries. Binary gender roles are ridiculous and ludicrously imposed on society. Free yourself of them, whether you are non-binary or not.

Your Intersex Awareness Day reminders that:
- Micropenis jokes are intersexist and not funny
- Intersex genital mutilation (IGM) is still allowed in nearly every country
- AFAB TransFem, AMAB TransMasc, Cis Trans, and Cis Non-binary are important terms for many Intersex folks
Include Intersex folks in your activism.

It's real fucked up how many queer people dread Pride season due to both systemic queerphobia and queer infighting. Pride season always rockets up my anxiety, and I know I'm not the only one.
This shit sucks, y'all. We gotta support each other more than the queerphobes hate us. I'm not saying we have to love each other, I'm not saying we even have to like each other, but we cannot keep subdividing communities, circulating callouts, and dogpiling each other over who has it worse. That shit will kill us all.
We cannot keep thinking of our individual experiences with bigotry as, "I know [xyz kind of queer] has it worse, but...", and we cannot keep looking at other experiences with bigotry as, "that's bad, but [abc kind of queer] still has it worse," when the reality is that we are all being targeted. It's all bad! It all deserves to be talked about and fought against without trying to put it in some kind of hierarchy! Hierarchies are not fucking helpful here!
Some fucking unity, please.

hate how afab and amab have become the woke male and female, instead of language to help us dismantle inherent arbitrariness of the sex binary

Reminder that you don't have to call yourself AMAB or AFAB. You don't have to say "I'm AFAB nonbinary." Saying "I'm nonbinary" is enough. You don't need to identify with what you were assigned as by some doctor however many years ago. Mentioning your ASAB is scarcely relevant to most conversations, even those about medical transitioning.
Nonbinary is enough, you don't have to supplement it with a binary system of any kind. It doesn't matter how many people want to know your "transition direction." It doesn't matter how many people want to know what your genitals are (which wouldn't be alluded to by your assigned sex anyway). It doesn't matter how many people want to binarise you. It doesn't matter how many binary people you confuse. No one needs to binarise you. Nonbinary. Is. Enough.

very sick of people telling everyone that theyre afab or amab unless they're intersex. like. it really doesn't matter to me. sex is just a suggestion, a spectrum, a single word used to describe a whole array of different possibilities. i do not care what a person was assigned at birth because i see the person first not the genitals jeez

Why the hell are people constantly inventing more binaries for nonbinary people?? Like you're either transfem (trans woman-lite) or an "amab enby" (cis man-lite); you're either transmasc (trans man-lite) or an "afab enby" (cis woman-lite). It's as if people can not let go of the idea that nonbinary people are either "man-lite" or "woman-lite". If a nonbinary person says they're nonbinary, then they're nonbinary. That's it. We don't have to borderline misgender ourselves and erase our transness because y'all hate trans people who y'all have decided are "too manly" or "not womanly enough". We don't owe y'all anything actually fuck you. "Amab enbies" and "afab enbies" are both nonbinary. Not man 2.0 or woman 2.0, but nonbinary. Get this into your thick fucking skulls you fucking dumbasses
Okay but literally you're so right. Like yeah technically I was amab (at birth, so 22 years ago, it should be past tense) but like, I'm still non-binary (even though I don't always feel like I belong in the community), and I'm also both transneutral and transfem. Like, it's not a binary (that's the whole point!), you don't have to sort us into "man-lite" and "woman-lite".

You can pry my AGAB info from my cold dead hands.
(from u/Carousel-of-Masks on Reddit)
"Obviously, I’m exaggerating for the point, but holy hell does it piss me off when someone demands to know my AGAB. “It’s important info!”
FOR WHAT? For u to have an expectation of my genitals and internal sex chromosomes? News flash, any trans person will tell u that AGAB does not = typical presentation of that gender.
On top of this, it’s my CHOICE to reveal my AGAB. I like keeping it a mystery because people are all too quick to assign certain expectations of me based on AGAB.
AMAB? Oh trans woman in denial! Man in dress stereotype!
AFAB? Oh trans man in denial! Completely feminine woman-lite stereotype!
Like. No. I’m just me. An extremely dysphoric non-binary person that actually would love to be binary but has to grapple with an internal gender that does not feel like the 2 binary options. I say I am non-binary to escape those expectations in the first place. AGAB just reduces it all back down to the binary.
Now, other non-binary people can do whatever u want. Not like I can control anyone else’s actions. But a part of me does hate how prevalent it is to write “Non-binary (AFAB/AMAB)” every time someone mentions they are non-binary. I’m not talking about specific tips for transitioning, hrt, etc. But everyday conversation, social media posts about nothing to do with gender, etc."
Something about this rant deeply resonated with me, so I decided to crosspost it onto here. You cannot reinvent the binary to include nonbinary people. It will never work.

I think it's crazy to me that people try to deny lesbianism when it comes to non-binary identities. It doesn't matter if they're amab or afab. What matters is who they are as a person and what they are internally. Lesbianism is fluid, that is the best way to describe it. This isn't to say you can't have preferences for things, but everyone does, but those preferences shouldn't restrict you from your attraction nor make you perceive someone any differently than who they are. I wish people could expand their mindset on this a bit more because attraction is different for everyone as well. But denying someone for who they are because of your preconceived thoughts of lesbianism or what a lesbian should be into in general (despite only lesbians being able to truly understand and define lesbianism) is so wacky to me
