Well, getting to the point, I have already asked for this request but I wanted to see your execution cause, wow girl, I love your writing, it is exquisite :')
The request is this: Maybe a Yone x fangirl!reader?
Buuut, but but!! That their first face-to-face meeting was a surprise, I explain, she and Yone had met on Discord and had been interacting a little, when the two agreed to meet then she gets a BIG surprise, I hope I make myself understood
Sorry for the amount of text, I have expanded here
Anyway, I hope you take care of yourself and enjoy the new content that is coming out as much as I do
-🍄
Omg hi 🍄 anon!! ♡ Thank you so so much for your very inspirational Yone musings, I hope that me spacing out on the wordlbuilding a bit will not influence the pure fangirling that is going on in our heads!
In this universe Yone strikes me as someone who actually knows a lot about technology and i'm sorry... he produces music for rythm games. And yes he does those extremely complicated and highly detailed songs that are like the hardest charts in the game.
Tumblr media
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Yone's career as a producer and DJ has not been the easiest one, the genres that fascinated him the most were usually not appreciated by a wider audience. The busy notes of electronic samples overlapping one another weren't designed to appaise the need for easy listening music in convenience stores or to climb the charts by becoming viral on social media, in fact the most recognition Yone's music had gotten before heartsteel was in the small niche of rythm game players.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- It was never the big game developers that contacted him, they had collaborations with world renouned producers and famous idols that voiced their characters. On the other hand smaller studios would often ask him to make one or two tracks for their games, which Yone would gladly accept to do. Despite the limited reach the producer was still proud of his work, always buying a copy of the games where his music appeared and keeping in touch with the communities that formed around them with a discord account that would't reveal who he really was.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You were just a casual player of one of those games, sometimes coming into its dedicated discord servers to chat with like minded people. When people asked you about your favorite songs in the game you would most likely reply with one of the songs Yone produced, often going into detail about what made them resonate with you so much and what made them so unique in your opinion.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Under the guise of anonymity Yone would sometimes join the conversation, asking questions and indirectly getting some feedback from you, even finding it helpful with his writer's block sometimes. It was enough for the man to send you a DM to discuss more of your shared music tastes, hoping you'd reply.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Your discussions quickly settled into a developing friendship, you knew the man had an extensive knowledge in music theory as he would sometimes ramble about it with you and he also told you that because of a new job offer he would become more and more busy as time went on. You'd still keep recommending songs to each other but the conversations would be less and less, you missed your friend but you knew that his work was more important than chatting about music.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- That was until Heartsteel's debut was announced with a small teaser, showing all the members and a small snippet of their new single. You immediately recognized the familiar electronic sound of the songs that made you and Yone bond in the first place, the nostalgic feeling making you smile. You decided to send a link of the teaser to him, asking for thoughts and sharing the hype about the new band.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Yone had never felt so guilty yet glad that he never revealed that he had produced those rythm game songs to you. You were so familiar with his style that you spotted it immediately, you could've uncovered that he was actually part of the band! He tried to stop himself from asking more of what you thought of the members, thought of him, but quickly surrendered to the fact that hearing you gush about how much you liked his music gave him even more reasons to keep going.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- When he asked who your favorite member was he almost spit water on his midi keyboard, causing Aphelios to turn around to see if he was alright. Yone composed himelf quickly, yet the message you wrote kept resonating in his mind. "Oh I'm totally in love with Yone, looking at him and his interactions on twitter he sounds like a bit of a band mom and I find it really endearing! He looks like a really calm person who surrounds himself with a ton of unhinged friends! Too bad he hasn't revealed his voice yet! "
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- Of course all of this didn't go past Aphelios, Kayn, Sett, K'Sante and even Alune. They realized he was spending more time than normal on his phone, reading your thoughts on the new promotional materials that were being posted. Kayn was the one who confronted him first and could not stop laughing when he realized Yone had started to develop some feelings for you, scrolling trough the messages the younger man could also see that you were starting to feel the same way for him.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- As much as the Kayn was amused at the absurdity of Yone falling for his online friend turned fangirl, he alsoknew he had to help his fellow bandmate, barging into the common room to tell everyone what was going on and fill Ezreal in as he was oblivous to the whole ordeal. It took all of them a good half hour to concoct a plan to make a meeting between you and Yone happen, then another half hour was needed to convince the producer that this was indeed a good idea and that you would not take it as badly as he imagined.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- When Yone said he wanted to voice chat with you out of the blue you were a bit confused but excited. You were happy to hear his voice after one year of being friends and made sure to reserve a few hours just for him, as you went about your day your mind started to wander a bit about what it would sound like and if your conversations would flow just as smoothly as they did via text.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You were starting to feel a bit nervous when you picked up the call, timidly muttering a "hello?" and waiting for any sort of reply. "Oh Hello, it's nice to finally be able to associate a voice to the person." You could not help but squeal a little on the inside, who would have known that his voice sounded so rich and felt so mature? The two of you talked for a while about how long overdue your call was and how time had flown since you first met, it truly didn't feel like your first conversation at all.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You finally gave into the curiosity and asked him if there was any particular reason for Yone to have wanted to voice chat now and his reply almost left you speechless. "So... I'm know that you're very excited about the debut of Heartsteel, one of my coworkers managed to get two VIP tickets and backstage access. The thing is that the person they bought the other ticket for cancelled last minute and they gave it to me." A carefully crafted lie exited Yone's lips, all to give you an excuse to go meet him.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You couldn't help but feel a slight pang of jealousy for how lucky your friend was but you wanted to be supportive and expressed your joy for him and how excited he must have been. "Wait, you've got it all wrong. I wasn't planning on keeping the ticket." You froze for a second, all sorts of possibilities racing trough your mind. Then you heard it the notification of a discord message from Yone, he had just sent you the ticket. "Wait... so you want me to go?" You heard him chuckle as you were slowly realizing what this would imply, your heart couldn't race more than this. "You deserve to go and see them, you've kept an eye on them for a long time now. I don't want to impose it onto you so think about it for a while and let me know, will you?" Useless to say that you spent a very long amount of time asking him if he was sure about it and then thanking him profusely, this truly was one of your dreams come true.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- During the day of the debut concert the Heartsteel's members grand plan was put into motion: security was well aware that as soon as your ticket number was checked in they would have been able to identify you. Security notified their manager Alune and gave her a detailed description of your looks, she too felt happy about what was going on in Yone's life and told him and the other boys to concentrate on the performance while she took care of things in the background and made sure to give you and the producer ample time to talk.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You had the time of your life at the concert, seeing how much energy and stage presence Heartsteel had in real life made their music video pale in comparison. The stage felt electric and once it was over you couldn't help but feel dizzy and overloaded but also oh so happy, seeing Yone and Aphelios playing alongside the other members was the highlight of the concert for you.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- So many things were going to your mind when you were queued up for the small meet and greet that was beeing held backstage, you were one of the last people and when it was your turn you couldn't help but feel like Sett, Kayn and Ezreal were all treating you like they somehow knew you already... and they were all hiding something. You felt their gazes following you as you finally approached Yone and even he looked like something was amiss.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You tried to ignore the feeling, you were about to meet the artist that managed to capture your attention so easily and always kept you wanting for more. You would not let this special occasion be ruined by your gut feeling! You took a few steps and prepared to greet him, hopefully having enough time to tell him how good his performance was and how much you enjoyed rooting for his success. Before you could even say a word he anticipated you and for a second you thought you had misheard everything he said.
·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- "Wait... how do you know my discord username?" You heard a few of Heartsteel's members chuckle, you did not realize how quiet the room had become as you were the last of their fans there, the laughter was interrupted by Yone speaking again. "Cut her some slack everyone, it's normal for her to be confused right now." Yone could see your eyes widen in realization you recognized his voice, he was your online friend! The one who would always listen to your rambles about the latest chart topping songs and give you his insight on what would make them so popular, the man who somehow knew your taste better than you at this point and was able to always give you spot on recommendations... ·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- The grounding touch of his hand on your shoulder snapped you back into reality, you blinked at him in disbelief and confusion... and then realized about how much you fangirled about him while being unaware of who you were talking to. "There must be many questions running trough your head right now and I don't blame you if you're angry at me for never revealing who I really was. If I hadn't been under such a strict NDA at the time maybe things could have been different..." ·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·- You gave the man a reassuring smile, you understood why he did what he did and suddenly him asking you what you thought of all the new trailers and promotional materials made sense. You were kind of honored to have been able to give feedback -although unknowingly- to a talented artist such as him. "Maybe I could clear some things up for you over dinner... I was too nervous to eat anything before the concert." You gave him a quick nod and he motioned you to follow him, you saw him gather his laptop and headphones and haistly put them in a sleek looking backpack and then taking out the keys to his car. The rest of your time spent backstage was a blur, his hand around your back was swiftly guiding you through the various areas and muttering to security guards that you were with him if they happened to enquire about you. Once in his car he could finally drop the persona and relax a bit more, the Yone you had met online was starting to show himself more and more. "Do you have any particular preferences for food?" He asked while making his way through the still packed streets of the city. "Mmh... I think I'll leave the choice to you, after all you just performend in front of thousands of people on an empty stomach." You replied, smiling at how kind he was being to you even though he must have been starving for hours. "Fine, I saw a ramen small ramen place on my way here before the concert. It will give us enough privacy for me to finally make things up to you."

Is fame your genuine desire? 1, 2, 3, 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pile 1 - Silver Platters
Tumblr media
Why U Desire This Life
Your truly passionate about it. I don’t think there’s any doubt about if you are determined to reach this goal. The universe here’s your cries for this. Cry Your Heart Out by Adele just started playing. I think part of this dream of fame is a desire to feel like you. I think some part of you feels as if you NEED the recognition (giving 10h stellium lol). But also nit having this makes you feel down. Your desire for fame is wrapped up in your worth and desirability. I think you want to go outside and feel seen and heard. Imo this isn’t healthy. Ofc you have to decipher this for yourself! Fame is definitely something you can achieve and I think doors are opening in whatever industry you want fame in but it’s on you to take it. Is this what you really want? For some of you, this time period is a test. Do you want this.
Spirit Advice
I think you are constantly given signs by the universe to the many ways you can live this life that you desire without being a public figure. fyi - people who build generational wealth typically aren’t famous or not pop star famous. I think spirit truly respects and admires your determination in this pursuit but they genuinely are unsure of it you want it. I think they want you to walk through the kinks of your desires for fame. I think you came from something harsh. You haven’t lived. And you see fame as your ticket out. No more strife, you’ll have cushion. But I think that’s partly an illusion. Zendaya doesn’t even think she has that kind of security. I’m not saying this level of fame is impossible. Everything is possible. You may be underestimating what fame is. What you have to entail, how lonely it can be, the constant grind and hustle. Your trading in one hardship for another if your not careful. If your desire is to work less and party hard you need to make your celeb lifestyle be in alignment with that. Actors, influencers, and pop stars are constantly working and they typically don’t go into retirement and some work til they die. I think SOME of you in this pile are too idealistic about fame and some of you simply need to confirm to yourself that your ready. If your that second group you probably felt called to another pile. Also don’t let this get you down. This pile is incredibly confident and success that you desire is coming to you just make a decision, truthfully. Be honest with yourself.
Shadow Work
How many of your desires for your life have to do with fame?
Does your desire for success, stability, and luxury have anything to do with being in the public eye? How so, and what do you desire from being in the spotlight?
Explain fame and explain luxury/stability. Then, explain why both are for your highest good.
Why do you want public acknowledgment?
What do you gain from having your career, life, and/or other personality attributes broadcasted?
Imagine/brainstorm your desired lifestyle including your celebrity status. How do you want to become famous. What field do see yourself going in. Could you pick 1 to 3 celebrities you would want to a similar status to and social presence (explain how nd why you chose these figures) Literally walk through every detail of your desired life as a celebrity and acknowledge less than savory attributes. Will you need to avoid paparazzi, how do you keep certain things private, do you mind dating in the public eye, does this effect the people around you?

Pile 2 - Influencers
Tumblr media
My phone died writing this 😅. I think y’all are facing a great deal of obstacles.
Why U Desire This Life
Pile 2, I think you see no difference from you between other influencers so you don’t understand why you shouldn’t at least go for it. Which is fine and dandy but don’t uproot all your hopes and dreams just to be like everyone else. Do what you desire. I also feel like this pile believes they’ll gain community this way. You want to have friends, companions, attend parties and whatnot. Fame can be incredibly lonely at times or too prying. Community can come in many shapes and sizes why does fame have to be apart of the picture. I see you comparing lifestyles to others and some of you even acknowledge how plastic being an influencer can be, but you want the lifestyle. Almost as if you want to be the popular girl/guy and get nice dates, gifts, and show of all your abundance. How much of this is for you and where are your true desires for fame. Fyi I don’t see this message as a no to fame, but maybe find a healthy and true reason for fame. Honesty will bring this manifestation to you. I also see you want to the good life and see being an influencer as an accessible way out. I genuinely think a lot of you are not dreaming bug enough or limiting yourself to what’s already been done. You are not them, your better.
Spirit Advice
Lmao hi pile 2, Y’all desire fame because of how you see others on social media and a great deal of you want to be influencers. To start their are a lot of obstacles in your way. Every time you thinks something is viral your views are down or your not seeing results where you think you should. Y’all are confronting something that the universe is blatantly trying to tell you. You may not even know what I’m talking about right now that’s how oblivious these signs have been to you. Y’all need to switch it up. Try something new. Your competing in other peoples lanes. People become influential by making their own lane and having authenticity (in most cases). Some of you may be attracted to pile 1. I suggest you read that as well. In this pile, I see a lot of you wanting to gain fame for your personality, but then refuse to post the real parts of you online. Being an influencer honestly takes vulnerability or at least a great deal of calculation. And I don’t think the calculative methods are suiting you pile 1. Enjoy yourself online. If you want to be an influencer make your platforms your new bestie. Tell them everything (within you boundaries) just be honest. Share ups, downs, unexpected, mundane, all of it!!!! Pile 2, you are in a lack mindset. Maybe even broke mindset. You are functioning outside of alignment with wealth and abundance.
Shadow Work
When you stop comparing yourself to others do you still want fame?
Do you actually desire the ‘fast life’? Are you willing to work in a hustle mindset and share personal aspects of your life?
What kind of influencer/celebrity do you want to be? Why does this bring you satisfaction?
Instead of trying to market yourself, just be yourself. Marketing comes after gaining traction.
Think about your finances. How will you save and plan for the future? Do you simply want money to keep up with trends.
california, broke, companionship, sustainability, save me

Pile 3 - Philanthropist
This pile was interrupted by a shadow energy. Please look within yourself but also protect your dreams from outside influences
Why U Desire This Life
You have had a good life or at least in your eyes. You have a home and your basic needs. You might even been born into an upper-middle class family. This pile is full of caring people who want to share the wealth of knowledge and resources have brought them. This could be being privileged financially, being able to attend college, or being of some ‘higher’ status. You genuinely see every creature on this earth as deserving of equity and love. You are ready to fight for this dream to. You get disheartened by greed and misuse of power. You see how people respect and listen to influencers. You want status to actually sway the masses for change. Pile 3, we need y’all/srs! Pro tip: being generous is lovely and wanting to give is admirable but just hold back for a while and nurture your abundance, ideas, and so on. Make sure their fully grown before you jump in to help people. We need your project(s) to last. I really encourage this pile to research your many interests. The more knowledge you have the more credible and empathetic you can be. Acknowledge the underdogs :) This pile is specifically for those looking to start a nonprofit or some kind of activism (even outside of traditional senses).
Spirit Advice
Spirit isn’t being very vocal with you pile 3. They fully back up your plan. They want you take take the right steps and plan. You should dedicate yourself to this project. Bring it to life. Maybe start with small initiatives or just put all your ideas on paper. List everything you’d want to do with your platform and build it from the ground up in your mind. Pretend spirit and the universe are tour contractors. Tell them how you want it and they’ll get to work. They’re extremely proud of you like immensely. It’s an overwhelming feeling of love and belief in you. You got thisssssssss <3
Shadow Work
How are you planning to make this a reality?
How can you ensure your plan/project will be able to expand?
What knowledge could you acquire to help push forward this idea?
Are your current actions in alignment with your goal?
financial planning, mutual aid, nonprofit, research
I hope you enjoyed your reading! I appreciate all likes, reblogs, and feedback! Please visit my masterlist for more PACS, Ask Games, Paid Readings and more!
Tumblr media
Pile 4 - Disrupters
Why U Desire This Life
Pile 4, fame to you is ultimate fulfillment. In your eyes at least. I also feel like a majority of you feel that intuitively fame is in your cards this lifetime. I see y’all as so confident in this in fact you aren’t even rushing or wondering where it is because you have no need to desire it. It’s yours. You want to share your gifts or perspective. This pile is very creative, alternative, and eccentric. A lot of you want to change how celebrities are seen. Similar to Pile 3, y’all want to spark change but through your personality. Dennis Rodman is the perfect person for this pile because this super masculine man was a AN ICON for his femininity and alternative style especially for a straight, Black, basketball player of the 90s. He did some much for gender expression like 🥹 I love me some him but anywaysssss you have something unique and you know that the world should get to see it. Y’all will see fame when you align and express your genuine self.
Spirit Advice
Nurture yourself. Take care of your dream and don’t share it. Don’t mix the energy of those with limited mindsets to your dream. Your energy to this goal is so pure and should be left untainted. Learn about yourself and who you are. Also practice, practice, practice if you want fame from a skill or art. You have what it takes just devote yourself to this goal. You will probably experience a (or many) rebirths before you see the limelight. I think spirit is being quiet because you should find your way on your own since your fame is so closely connected to being one with yourself.
Shadow Work
Do you wear a ‘mask’ for other people or the public eye?
What aspects of your authentic self do you not see as deserving of being seen publicly? Why? Do you believe this because of your own perspective or the input of others?
How can you be more authentic with yourself and others?
How can you be more authentic in your craft?
What aspects of yourself do you expect to be rejected? Why?
craftsman, quirky, resolve, integrity, outcast
I hope you enjoyed your reading! I appreciate all likes, reblogs, and feedback! Please visit my masterlist for more PACS, Ask Games, Paid Readings and more!
Hope you enjoyed,

One of Your Kind (Ch. 8)

Word count: 4.0K
Summary: within hot girls summer and cute dates, November’s finally here and Wednesday’s finally streaming.
Warnings: make out session
Pairing: Jenna Ortega X Fem!Reader
———
May went by quickly. Jenna wanted to spend it alone with her family after being away from home for so long and of course you let her, knowing how much she cared about them, but you still obviously talked every night and every moment you could, without bothering her. She was getting called on interviews, the trailer for Wednesday season 1 will be released in August and there were already quite a few sneak peeks. As June came the two of you started hanging out more, whether it was at her place or around town: she knew that this show would make her quite a lot famous so she decided to take adventure of this remaining time to be herself and go around town without too many people recognizing her. She always wore sunglasses as to get recognized less, but you didn't mind as long as you were with her.
"Where are we going?" She asked you, as you drove slightly out of town. “You'll see when we get there" you teased only to watch her groan in annoyance. You reached some small forest with a trail, and you parked the car. “What, you're gonna take me here and kill me?" She giggled and you did too "well you're Wednesday here so it should be the other way around" you teased "I'm gonna need to cover your eyes. You trust me right?" She nodded and so did you, you covered her eyes and led her through the woods to the final destination."You're so gonna like this" you said as you gave her a peck on the cheek. You had brought her on top of a hill, the trees behind you and from there you could see the whole Los Angeles. You had set up everything you needed for a picnic, you had laid a blanket on the grass and had took some snacks. It was sunset so the view would be even better. As soon as you uncovered her eyes her jaw dropped and she looked down at what you had set up, she was stunned.
“This is my hideout" you started and wrapped your arms around her from behind "whenever I'm too overwhelmed or stressed I come here and relax. No one ever comes here and I never brought anyone here before you so we can make this our place?" You said and looked at her with a small smile “it can be your hideout too, for when you feel like you need alone time” you kissed her cheek again. And waited for her reply. “This is beautiful” she had been speechless until now, “no one has ever done this for me” she said and turned around to look at you, anyone watching from miles away could understand that Jenna was so in love with you and you were too. “You deserve this. Tell you what, tonight the sky will be clear. I also bought some blankets, we could stargaze?” Jenna smiled brightly and obviously agreed, she has never done this before and she was glad that her first time stargazing would be with you.
You were laying down on the blanket you had put on the ground, the sun had just finished setting and a few stars were visible already. Jenna had already snuggled up to you and you had your arms wrapped around her keeping her close to you. “You know, I’ve been thinking about switching careers,” you started and Jenna immediately turned to look at you “what why?” She said and you shrugged. You hoped you wouldn’t upset her with what you were going to say. “I don’t know, I just feel like directing is not my field? I know it’s what I studied for, but it’s not gratifying you know? I want to have more recognition for what I do. Maybe I could try being an actress?” Your revelation got Jenna at loss of words. She wasn’t expecting this, not at all. She thought you loved your work so this kind of left her shocked. “Are you upset?” You asked, seeing as she wasn’t giving you a reply. “It’s just that you studied hard for this job,” she said and you looked down. “You may have not gotten what you wanted, but it’s gonna take time. Being a good actress takes time to, and you know that. I don’t like this idea of yours but I’ll support it no matter what because I love you”
She was right after all, but how could you continue with that job, if you didn’t like it anymore? You have always been like this, ever since you were a child. You started sports, and then left them because they were either too hard or you didn’t like them anymore. This aspect of yours has never changed and will never leave you. “I love you too” you said and gave her a small sad smile. You know what she thought, she thought that you were wasting your studies, your scholarship and everything you had worked so hard to get. And maybe she was right. So you decided to hang on a little more with this job and see where it took you.
You had grown really close to Jenna’s family, her mom treated you like her own child: she made sure your were eating alright, she made sure that you weren’t stressing yourself out like Jenna was, and in general she made sure you were fine... She was to you the mother you never had. And Aliyah was the sister you never had. You texted every day, even if it was sharing some memes or silly pictures, the two of you were always in contact. Eventually the beach days came too, Jenna was always inviting you to go to the beach with her family and this was one of those days. It was a Tuesday, when almost everyone would be working and both of you were less at risk of being recognized, and less people would be at the beach. Jenna had been very playful and that’s why as you were applying a sun protection Jenna threw some sand directly at your legs. This is one of the things you hate about the beach: the sand sticking on your skin.
“Do that again and I’ll throw you in the water” you warned giggling, trying to brush the sand away. Unfortunately for you she didn’t listen and threw sand at your other leg, trying not to laugh at the face you made. “You asked for this” you walked over and picked her up, throwing her over your shoulder “no!” She laughed “let me go!” She kept laughing as you made your way towards the water, getting in until the water was slightly above your waist, her family laughing as they watched you from the beach “is the water cold?” She asked but you smirked and ignored her question “this is for not listening to me” you said and threw her in the water. For a brief second you saw her plug her nose and then you saw her emerge from the water with her mouth opened in an “O” shape from how cold the water was, and you couldn’t help but laugh at her face “you got what you deserved” you laughed and she did the same, as she splashed you. You nearly made the same face she did before and splashed her back.
You kept splashing each other and eventually you decided to “prank” her. You went underwater when she had her eyes closed from the water, and she soon noticed you weren’t splashing her anymore. “(Y/N)? Where are you?” She looked around, and you jumped up from behind her wrapping your arms around her as you heard her scream from the jump scare, but eventually she turned around in your arms and saw you smile at her “you’re even prettier in a bikini” you whispered and she smiled brightly before pulling you in for a sweet kiss, the kiss was salty due to the sea water as your lips danced in perfect sync, your arms in the small of her back and hers around your shoulders. At the moment it seemed that both of you didn’t care if her family was watching you, you didn’t care if paparazzis were around you were just living in the moment. You don’t get this many intimate moments with her so you took advantage of the few you had.
You weren’t even aware of the fact that her sisters were taking pictures of the two of you, but you just looked so cute that they HAD to take those pictures for you to keep. The morning at the beach was peaceful, but in the evening more people started coming and you had to keep affections low to a minimum. It was automatic now and both of you didn’t mind, as long as fans attentions were lowered to a minimum. And that’s exactly how it was, not many people knew her yet, maybe a little bit more after the fallout came out but still it wasn’t much. There were a couple girls asking her for photos and she always, happily obliged. Though you wondered, how would her fame affect your relationship? “What’s going on in that little head of yours?” Jenna asked after sitting down from the third photo of the day. She played with your hair with a small smile. “Nothing I was just thinking…”
“Thinking of what?” She asked you and you sighed. “You do realize that this show will make you hell of a lot more famous right?” She nodded and sighed, looking away from you, probably thinking the same things you were “how will it work for us? I mean- you probably won’t have time… with all the interviews and stuff.. I don’t know how relationships work in the acting field and.. I’m kinda scared” you looked down as well, taking a hold of her hand. “Babe… nothing’s gonna bring us apart. Not fame, not interviews, nothing. I’ll take you with me on interviews, awards and everything. I need you with me.” She said and made you look up at her placing a hand under your chin. You looked at her hopeful. “Are you.. sure?” You asked and she nodded, that small smile of hers you loved showing “yes I’m sure” she was about to give you a small kiss when two girls came up asking for another picture.
Then on another occasion, the two of you had gone out after dinner, just walking together into a park, hand in hand as you weren’t worried about paparazzis anymore. There weren’t many around her, just yet, so you didn’t have to worry. You had been trying to set up the prettiest dates for her to enjoy, but deep down you wanted to make the best out of this relationship before she got too busy and you were managing so far. The park was empty at this time of night and there weren’t many lights around this park, especially not around the lake that was inside of it. It was a small lake, where people usually rented boats but you didn’t need to do so to make this a romantic date. You liked simple dates and Jenna did too, so this would do. The weather made this even more romantic, because at some point it started raining all of the sudden. You weren’t about to ruin the date because of some rain and kissing under it has always been one of your desires with Jenna.
“We should go back home” she started, neither of you had an umbrella so she put her hood on “wait” you stopped her “a kiss under the rain sounds romantic don’t you think?” You said with a small smile and she giggled, taking her hood off before getting on her toes to kiss you. The way the rain kept pouring on you became irrelevant as you picked her up, her legs wrapping around your waist as you shared the softest kiss ever. You were so in love with each other that it seemed unreal, it almost seemed like the love you see in movies and impossible to find real life, but the two of you had it. You had it and you couldn’t be happier off the fact that it was with her. When you pulled back you saw her smiling at you and giggling, as she laid her head on your shoulder. “What?” You laughed as well as you helped her get off of you. “Nothing, this was such a great idea, but my mom is going to kill us” she warned “I couldn’t agree more” you said and finally the two of you started heading to her place. You had basically been living there recently, Jenna didn’t want you to be alone and you didn’t want that either.
And she was right, her mother was mad at the two of you but you couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. You had walked inside the house soaking and dripping, and when her mother pointed out the water trail you had left behind you you both lost it and started laughing non stop, Natalie eventually laughed too but basically ordered you to take a warm bath as to not get sick. Useless to say that you spent the whole time making out and just cuddling.
November arrived, Wednesday had just been released. You binge-watched the whole show in one day with her family, without Jenna as she insisted on not wanting to watch herself on screen. When watching it, you pointed out the scenes you directed, and only you noticed the differences of your scenes from Tim’s. His have better angulation, better lighting, better everything. In the meantime, with it only having been a week since Wednesday was released, Jenna’s fame had definitely increased. She wasn’t free of going in town without being recognized, she wasn’t free of hanging out with you or her family and it was stressing her out, way more than it should. You did your best, you tried being there for her, telling her that it was gonna be okay, that it was just the hype of the moment and that people were going to leave her alone, eventually.
It was the day of the premiere, you and Jenna had decided to sleep in as this would be a long, tiring day for her and she needed as much rest as possible, especially with all the stress she was enduring. You had woken up at around eleven in the morning, and as you rubbed your eyes you noticed that Jenna was sleeping in your arms. You gently played with the few wild hair that had gotten out of her messy bun, This was your way of waking her up gently and it always worked, she always woke up in a happy mood, Same as today. “Hmmm good morning” she said in a sleepy voice, and hid her face under your chin “good morning baby” you said and kissed her forehead, she gave you one of those sleepy smiles you loved. “Big day uh?” You said and she grunted, only pulling you in closer. “I don’t wannaaa” she dragged the last word and you only giggled in response. “I wanna be with you” she said and sleepily kissed your jaw.
As you were about to reply you got a notification on your phone. You grabbed it from your nightstand and took a look “HOLY SHIT” you nearly shouted, sitting up as you rushed your hands in your hair “what is it?” Jenna asked and sat up, “I got an invitation to the premiere-“ you said and she looked at you with a small smile “co-directors never get invited- this is not good” you said and got up, walking back and forth in the room “why is it not good exactly?” She asked as she crossed her legs. “I don’t have a dress? I don’t know how to do my make up I’m-I’m screwed” Jenna laughed and you stopped walking to look at her “what’s so funny?” You said and looked at her “babe, seriously? We have the same size, you’re just a bit taller. I can give you one of my dresses and my make up artists will do your make up and you’ll also have hair done” she said and you sighed, falling back on your bed. “Oh thank god” you said and watched her smile as well.
Her crew came sooner than expected after lunch. You couldn’t decide on a dress, they were all either too long, too short, too tight, too loose… how did Jenna deal with this every time was still a mystery to you, but you had to learn how to if you wanted to become an actress as well… so eventually you opted for this dress which you thought was very simple and didn’t steal Jenna’s spotlight, with the black dress and veil and everything she was just stunning. You were given white high heels, and you couldn’t even walk on them and it made Jenna laugh because you just looked so goofy, but with Jenna’s help you made it work.
Both you and Jenna decided that it would be a good idea to show up in two different cars as to not get too much attention, so you arrived first, just after Tim as the stars would be arriving later. You did get a few applauses, not as much as expected, but you’ll have time for that. You greeted Tim as you hadn’t seen him since you wrapped up filming and it was good seeing him again. The two of you were taken a few pictures, paparazzi mainly focusing on Tim but you didn’t mind. The actors started arriving, you knew Jenna would be the last to arrive because she wanted to build some suspense, so you took advantage of that time to catch up with Emma and everyone else. Emma basically jump-hugged you and you laughed as you hugged her back “so how are things going with Jenna?” She asked as she held your hands.
“Hush don’t say it out loud! People don’t know yet” luckily there wasn’t any attention on the two of you, the paparazzi were too busy greeting Gwendoline who had just arrived. “So you didn’t go public yet?” You shook your head, and Emma was about to speak again but she was called on the carpet for some photos and you stood there awkwardly, not many people knew you, and even less wanted pictures of you. When Jenna arrived your jaw nearly dropped. You had seen her in that dress back at her place, but not with hair and makeup done as well. She looked stunning to say the least. “You’re drooling” Emma said, you hadn’t even noticed her getting back at your side. “Shut up!” You giggled and nudged her shoulder. You went to greet Jenna and took advantage of the hug to tell her “you’re gorgeous” and it made her blush, but she laughed it off.
Eventually all of you were called on the carpet for some group photos, you as well as you stood by Tim and behind Jenna, you decided to “tease” her: paparazzis couldn’t see from this perspective so you gently traced your index finger on her spine, and you saw how she shivered under your touch, and in that moment she wanted nothing more than to turn around and kiss you, show everyone that you were hers, but she couldn’t, not yet. Soon enough everyone was being pulled away for interviews, and surprisingly you had one too. “(Y/N)(L/N) everyone! You look stunning tonight!” The woman said, and you smiled in response “thank you so much! You look good too” you replied back, “so how has this experience been for you? We know it’s your first important premiere” the interviewer said and you nodded “it is indeed. I have to say I was nervous at first, but now that everyone else arrived I’m feeling better”
“This show has definitely gotten a lot of attentions! How are you feeling about it?” You started noticing differences from positive interviews to negative ones “at first I was really, really scared. I mean we all know how my first project went, I was scared that my reputation would have ruined this show and I nearly gave up, but I had support. Me and Tim are very proud of how it turned out, I learned a lot from him” the woman nodded with a small smile as she continued with her questions. “You said you had support,” you nodded “how did your work get affected by friendships on set? I mean, you’re a pretty young director and you’re the same age as the actors right?” You nodded again and smiled “yeah, the others really played a really big part in my life during those months of filming. Especially Jenna, we already worked together on the fallout as you may know, but we got even closer, she’s one of the main reasons I didn’t give up” you nodded to yourself with a small smile, the interviewer seemed to be satisfied with your answer as she continued.
“Well we can definitely expect big things from you (Y/N)” you nodded in thanks “are you working on any project or planning to work on one?” Million dollars question. “Uhm I’m actually thinking of switching careers” you started “directing is fun and gives lots of satisfaction, but I would like to try something new you know? Maybe acting is a better field for me” you said with a small smile. The woman, seeming satisfied enough with your answers said goodbye to you and let you go back to the others. The premiere itself was good, paparazzi taking photos and your friends being interviewed… you just took in the atmosphere. It felt nice if you stopped to think about it. Everyone was there to see Jenna because they loved her, they loved her performance, and not so secretly you thought about how that would feel if people were there to see you.
As you stood aside talking to occasional people and other random actors, eventually the premiere came to an end. You were all leaving, the actors in front while you and Tim stood back, paparazzi taking pictures of the actors as y’all went by. But then Jenna’s steps faltered, she turned around and walked to where you were at the end of the line, taking your hand as she basically started running to her car “Jenna what the hell-“ you said through giggles as she dragged you to her car, trying to keep balance as you still couldn’t walk on those heels. “We’re leaving together” you looked at her in confusion “…okay?” You looked back at Emma and the others and shrugged, before being pulled into Jenna’s car.
You were great for the dark tinted windows because as soon as the car left Jenna sat on your lap, straddling you as she started kissing you deeply. Hands cupping your cheeks and yours went to her waist, “you looked so pretty tonight,” she said in in between kisses and deep breaths “I couldn’t take my eyes off of you” she said and moved to your neck, where she licked, sucked and bit down on your skin, making a soft moan escape your lips. “I can’t get enough of you” she said, you loved this side of her, when she gets touchy and flirty and wanting to make you hers… you love that. Eventually the two of you arrived home, luckily to your apartment as you lived alone, and you made it to the bedroom between kisses, Jenna wanted so bad to get rid of your dress, but she waited for your consent, as the two of you had never done this together.
Suddenly, you pulled back from her “Jen… I’m ready” you told her while trying to catch your breath. Jenna smiled brightly and the both of you discarded of your dresses and made love into the night for the first time, together.
A/N: next chapter will probably contain a lot of angst so grab the popcorn and get ready!

Yesss i really love all their alligator performances. Jooheon’s “hello! I’m an alli alligator” lives rent free in my brain lol
And shownu chopping wood is so iconic! Honestly those are all great moments! I would recommend checking out Monsta X ray. There’s an episode where they visit a zoo and it’s so cute!
I was supposed to see Monsta X but then they cancelled my stop due to covid in 2021 😞 so I totally get it! Hopefully one day we can both get the chance to see them!
I am SO jealous you got to see Wonho! He’s such a beautiful person, I can’t even imagine seeing that in person! What was your favorite performance that night?
I actually like a ton of groups! Stray Kids, Onlyoneof, Shinee, Astro, and Ateez are some faves. I also really love VIXX - Leo’s my bias and I love his solo work/VIXX LR stuff! I’m also really into girl groups like WJSN, Loona, Lovelyz, Girls’ Generation etc. honestly it’s harder for me to find something I don’t like than like lol
Question of the day for you: do you have a favorite Wonho/MX mv?
And what are your top 5 mvs in general! From any kpop group!
Hope you have a good night/day (not sure what time it is for you lol it’s night where I am!) - MBB Secret Santa 🎅
Hey!!!
I love your messages and I am so pumped we got a few more things in common!
I do want to see monsta X ray. I guess that I've been putting it off because it hurts to see wonho in there, knowing he's not in the group anymore.
But yeah. 🥂 Here's to us seeing them performing live one day. In the front row. VIP tickets. I'm manifesting that for us!
Wonho's concert was amazing. At first I couldn't believe it, but when he sang With you, I totally lost it. I love the song because he says 2 lines in Spanish (my mother tongue) and because it's sexy af (just like him hehe)
If you go through my blog you will know I like all the groups you mention. Also I try to support less famous groups, I think they all deserve recognition cause they work so hard and I believe that all groups should win an award during their careers.
For some reason I've always preferred BG to GG. But I do love purple kiss, dreamcatcher and Pixy
Anyways I am rambling.
My favourite Wonho video is eye on you. I love it so much. It's dark, and there's wolves and the choreo is chef's kiss. I just prefer him with dark hair. And that performance he does when he covers his eyes at the end just… drives me insane. When he sang that In the concert I almost died of happiness
As from Mx, alligator. They all look amazing in leather, and there's water and I love wonho's iconic look.
Fav MVS in general (not mentioning the ones above)
1.libido -ooo - it tastes like forbidden love
2.all in - mx -it tastes like fighting for what you believe in
3. Jackson Wang - blow - it tastes like guilty pleasure
4. Wolf -exo, but the concert version- it tastes like passion
5.the closer from vixx - it tastes like desire
thanks for your message and what about your fav videos????

Tumblr media
零 ; you, the typecasted “passerby a”
the path to stardom is an arduous journey, but you've already abandoned your dreams not even halfway down the road.
you are far from the fresh newbie you once were. maybe you hoped to be famous at some point, your name sung in ardent praises and joint with stellar performances, but you've never received major roles that strayed from “classmate b” or “the protagonist's best friend” who only ever appears to give advice.
the closest you've been to getting a main character role is being part of the second pairing of a cheesy romance drama that never became a hit, a series with a generic plot and a bland cast of no name actors.
but you can't deny the spark of hope lighting your heart when you receive word of an audition for an upcoming drama adaptation of a well-loved webtoon series, which you are an avid fan of. it's a murder mystery following a genius detective who strives to solve a serial killings cold case, with snippets of romance and the occasional comedy, grim as the premise may be.
once the drama adaptation was confirmed, it quickly became a hot topic; fans are anticipating the casting and filming crew, expecting nothing short of perfection to honor the brilliant source material. by all accounts, it's big news, and snagging even a minor role would definitely earn you more recognition.
if you're chosen to act as the victim in the first murder, you would already be beyond satisfied—being part of such a masterpiece is enough to make you overjoyed. you don't have too high hopes but there's no harm in trying for the audition, right?
yes. no harm at all.
that's if you don't count the brain damage you suffered when your head slammed against the wall from complete shock as you received an e-mail from the staff confirming your admittance to the project.
as the protagonist's love interest, no less—a journalist investigating the serial murders to enact revenge on their younger brother's stead, the third victim in the killings.
一 ; xiao, the celebrity crush
acting practice is generally considered a casual affair in every project you've taken on, yet you couldn't help but spend hours trying to make yourself look presentable (and avoid looking like a beggar compared to your shining idols when you stand side by side). you may be a tad bit overdressed, but you'd hate to make a fool out of yourself on day one.
except that is exactly what you do. because you're a walking disaster.
in your defense, it's not even your fault! the moment you step foot in the venue, you're ushered by the staff to a row of waiting rooms... without any nameplates attached by the doors and no indication of where you're supposed to go. left with no other choice, you mentally count eeny meeny miny moe and surge forward for the chosen room.
you can't tell if you're tremendously lucky or the most unfortunate person on earth, but you come face to face with a person you never thought you'd see in the flesh.
the thing is, the staff never informed you of your future colleagues. the casting is a well-kept secret, even from the actors themselves, to prevent information leaks to the media before the official announcement.
you really wish you had time to prepare yourself before you had to meet xiao, though.
he's lounging by the sofa, curls of dark hair sprawled on the cushions. his face is obscured by an eye mask, fashioned in a cute design you wouldn't expect him to take an interest in at all. if you took a picture of him right now and printed them as merchandise, you're sure they'll sell like hotcakes, but a selfish part of you wants to keep this sight to yourself.
yes, because... because you've been crushing on him since forever!
you've seen his growth as an actor as far back as five years ago, when he only just started his career! he made the perfect mysterious pretty boy male lead, and the romance film he starred in was such a good classic! but he didn't get typecasted, no no. he went beyond his pretty boy persona to work in other productions, where he acted as the crazed antagonist in a horror movie. that, too, eventually became a classic film for any horror movie fan. his murderous glare is just too damn scary!
he's excellent in action-packed movies as well, there's never a need for stunt doubles with him. you've seen his behind the scene clips, and they're just awesome. he doesn't speak much in interviews, his replies clipped and hardly substantial, but you try to catch each piece of precious footage.
oh fuck i shouldn't be here. you snap back to your senses and reach for the doorknob, but the creaking sound of the door prompts xiao to twitch.
a pale hand drags down the eye mask to his chin, and his dazed golden eyes pin you in place.
“...who are you?”
it's a simple question, but it's like you're trying to prove your innocence to court. you begin to ramble, introducing yourself in a series of stutters, and explaining how you got to his room. you insist you aren't there to peep on him and it was a complete accident.
“...so you entered my room by mistake,” xiao summarizes your ten paragraphs-worth of explanation into a single concise sentence. he doesn't look angry, but doesn't look pleased by your presence either. “it's fine. i could guess the staff was too busy to show you your room.” he sits up properly, fixing his hair messy from his nap. “you're the journalist, right? i look forward to working with you.”
rather than a job, filming feels more like a reward. you get to see xiao everyday, get to talk to xiao even if it's just you commenting on the weather, get to eat with him in lunch breaks (you're seven seats away from him but that counts, right?) and get to act alongside him-
(the makeup artist is always wondering why you look so red on screen when she swears she didn't put much blush on you, though.)
and xiao is the second male lead. you get to act romantic scenes with him. you get to act lovey-dovey with xiao in a police uniform because he's a policeman in this show. each brush of your hands together sends your heart racing in a speed too fast to be healthy, but as an actor, you're expected to keep your composure and deliver your lines properly.
“don't you need to ask something of me?”
you blink innocently as you peel off the heavy costume, the last scene for the day finally wrapped up. xiao must be feeling hot too because he's also wearing a huge coat in the middle of summer—his face is beet red.
“ask you for something...?” your cheeks burn bright. “oh no, was i too obvious?”
xiao awkwardly looks away. “you could say that.”
how mortifying! you fan your face, hoping your makeup isn't too melted. you already feel like an idiot, no need to look like one.
but xiao already thinks you're stupid. no turning back now.
“o... okay... since the cat is out of the bag, then...” you pull out a pen and a piece of paper, holding it out to him. “please give me your autograph!”
“...what.”
“i've been your fan for the last five years! i don't know who ratted me out, actually i'm about 87% sure it's childe, but since you know-”
“wait- what? five years?”
“.........if that's not what you're talking about, then what is?”
“no, i thought you wanted to ask me ou-”
he seals his lips at the most crucial moment, horrified at himself. “sorry. i'll ask you another time.”
... and then he walks away. just like that.
“xiao, what about my autograph?!”
“forget it!”
“why all of a sudden?!”
二 ; childe, the scandal magnet
notorious for the massive number of scandals under his belt, it's a surprise to find ajax (with a stage name of childe) in the set of this major production. you're advised by your manager to steer clear of him and avoid unnecessary contact to prevent sullying your reputation, but you can't deny his acting prowess—he shines on the stage, a performance you can't tear your eyes away from.
he's incredibly versatile, capable of taking on any role and absorbing the character to make it come to life, almost as if he is its incarnation.
it starts as a simple game before actual practice, each actor asked to draw lots from pieces of paper scribbled with different roles, and given an accompanying script to base off of.
everyone laughs when childe, ironically enough, draws the “womanizer who cheats on his lover.”
unfortunately, you couldn't laugh along with them because you picked the “lover” role. your incredible (read: atrocious) luck astounds you.
it goes just about as well as everyone expects it. childe, seemingly in his element, plays the part of a perfect scumbag. it's easy to hate him like this, all flamboyant gestures and empty promises of “you are my one and only.” his performance inspires you to try harder, and so you raise your voice, your passionate screams of indignance almost sounding heart-felt, like you truly are experiencing a severe betrayal.
when childe sweeps you into his arms, whispering platitudes dripping with honey, you're nearly fooled into forgiving him.
it's hard to get yourself out of the role when the director ends the scene, satisfied with the act. childe's expression returns to its usual lazy grin, a far cry from the smug smirk prior, and he pats your head to wake you up. “nice work. i really felt like i was getting scolded by an angry girlfriend.”
dazzled by his brilliance, you barely have enough coherence to return the compliment.
your awe doubles when he performs his next act.
much to xiao's horror, he picks the “dying younger brother” role, a direct accompaniment to childe's “grieving older brother.” they make an... interesting pair, but they're also professionals, and the scene they perform almost makes you weep real tears.
xiao lays limp on the floor like a lifeless doll, and childe cradles him to his chest, delivering his lines with sobs and cries that sound too real to be an act. his heart-wrenching wails bounce from the walls, going straight to strike your heart. his voice cuts through the air, demanding your attention, as if telling you to keep your eyes on him and to never look away.
it's nothing like the sleazebag character he was playing twenty minutes ago, and you have to remind yourself your scripts are only given once you've drawn lots; he had a maximum of five minutes to read through it, process the information, decide how to deliver his lines, and visualize himself performing it in the best way possible.
like this, he doesn't look at all like the scandalous man everyone makes him out to be. he's just an earnest man who's good at pretending to be someone else.
it's terrifying to think about. did he ever act like his true self when the cameras stopped rolling, then? was he just playing the part of a “good co-worker” when he was talking to you earlier? was the whole “scandalous womanizer” image something he set up for himself? a reputation he deliberately made to attract the media's attention? it isn't unusual for actors to cause drama as a publicity stunt, after all.
no, that doesn't make sense. no matter how desperate, nobody would like bad rumors circulating about them. as much as your name is spread around, it also goes hand in hand with distasteful gossip. childe is plenty famous, even before the scandals began popping up, so he never really needed them and they would only further ruin his image...
...on the contrary, if there's anyone getting famous from those scandals, it's...
...the girls he supposedly hooked up with?
rather than making those scandals for fame, doesn't it make more sense if those girls fabricated stories and took advantage of his reputation?
it's no secret that meddlesome paparazzi and hardcore fans obsessively pry into celebrities' personal lives. if they sniff a hint of dating scandals, they don't stop digging. furthermore, once the media releases information to the public, people will take it as fact. in actuality, it doesn't matter what's true or not; what the public wants to believe becomes the “truth.”
if the people deemed it plausible, if they thought “childe would definitely do something like this, so of course if the girl says they hooked up in the dressing room, they did”...
...even if childe denied those claims, nobody would believe him. not even you. you didn't think about it until now. in fact, at the very beginning, you already had assumptions about him, devouring the media's lies.
childe laughs when you apologize to him. it was certainly a shock when you suddenly knocked on his door, then the instance he opened it, you began to bow deeply, nearly slamming your forehead to his chest.
“i'm used to it, don't worry.” he smiles, but it doesn't reach his eyes. “you were so stiff around me, it was pretty obvious what you thought of me. but you didn't have to apologize.”
“no, i do! i was being disrespectful!” you insist, taking him by surprise when you grab the lapels of his jacket. “you're nothing like what they say! i'm sure you've been through a lot just because everyone keeps saying whatever they want, without thinking of your feelings... and everyone laughed that one time we played the acting game... i... i can't take back the time i've spent being suspicious of you, but i want to change that!” you stare directly at his widened eyes, determined. “i want to know you better, ajax!”
the use of his real name stuns him and for a moment, all he can do is gape at you.
then he narrows his eyes, his lips shaping to a firm line, and he tugs you inside the room.
a yelp unwittingly escapes your mouth when you're pressed against the door, his arms caging either side of you. his expression is unfamiliar now, unlike anything you've ever seen before; uncharacteristically stern, harsher around the edges, spiteful gaze boring holes into your skull.
“you want to know me better... some pretty words you just said. what do you actually want?”
your breath hitches when his hand caresses your cheek, but the striking glare he's giving you makes you think he wants to sink his nails deep into your skin instead.
“this isn't the first time someone tried to approach me, you know. what, you want to be friends with me? you're going to ask if i can invite you to my house? then you're going to tell people how i took advantage of you while you were sleeping?”
“what- no! of course not!” you yell, face heating up just by the thought of it. “nevermind lying to the media, i don't have the guts to sleep over a guy's house i barely even know!”
his expression falls to a deadpan. “oh. my bad. you're quite pure, aren't you. of course you wouldn't.”
“that's what makes you believe me?!”
the arms caging you falls to his sides as he walks away, leaving you dumfounded. “right, right, sorry for scaring you. can't you let me off easy? it's pretty hard to trust someone when you're in my position. if i treat you to dinner, will you forgive me?”
“i... i came here with good intentions... now i feel as though i was harassed...”
his usual smile falls on his face, like he's a completely different person from the man who trapped you just seconds prior. “what do you think about seafood? i'll let you eat as many crabs as you like. i really am sorry, promise. if you were saying the truth earlier, then i'd be glad to know you better too, [name].”
you give him a look. “...if they saw us entering a restaurant together, wouldn't that attract rumors?”
“hm? is everyone so narrow-minded they think anyone who eats together is in an illicit relationship?”
the answer is no, so you eat as much crabs and shrimp as you want to your heart's content. you're getting your food's worth for that fright he caused earlier. childe isn't complaining anyway, only impressed with how much dishes you're practically inhaling.
in any case, it isn't a date. there is no ambience or heart-pounding romance of any sort. not when you're overtly taking advantage of his money and childe's taking ugly pictures of you mid-bite.
but then, of course, the media takes note of it; the topic of your outing is brought up at an interview, to which you fret and panic because you were never popular enough to be interviewed before, and they're asking if you're fucking childe, of all things-
“what are you talking about?” childe pops up behind you, unhelpfully wrapping an arm around your shoulders as if he wants to add fuel to the fire. he chuckles, tilting your chin to lean closer to his face. “i'm just pursuing [name]. nothing's happened yet. unless [name] wants to...”
you take it back. he's definitely at fault for having this many scandals.
三 ; albedo, the male lead
the first day of rehearsals, the protagonist of the drama isn't even there.
to your astonishment, nobody complains about it. twenty minutes into practice (most scenes skipped due to the protagonist's absence), the director gets a call and excuses himself outside. less than a minute after, he informs everyone the star of the show won't be able to make it.
the actors trade unsure looks, wondering what the hell is going on, but the rest of the staff remain unfazed. the director notices and explains, “it's albedo. his busy schedule can't be helped. his manager called me to let me know his flight got delayed.”
and then it makes much more sense.
albedo is well-renowned in the film industry, an extraordinary talent who first came into showbiz three years ago. it's not at all a long time, but it's long enough for him to receive countless awards and bountiful movie offers—he was just born for the stage. if anything, this drama is lucky to have him in it, not the other way around. a late arrival for a rehearsal is nothing. he could probably disappear for two months without telling anybody and when he comes back, the director would beg him to act for the drama for twice the pay. (an exaggeration, but you get the point.)
and... you're expected to partner with him? you? a speck of dust compared to the sun that is albedo? you have to match his brilliance and not look like a turd beside him on screen? you have to be equals with him and- and you actually get to- you get to hold hands with him, kiss him, and- those couple stuff? everything? his fans would murder you if your mother doesn't kill you first! you know she likes his movies a lot!
the fourth day of rehearsals, he finally comes to the set. not with an air of arrogance or excessive pride. he just exudes confidence, strutting to the room in an elegant poise you can't hope to replicate. he gives his sincere apologies for the inconvenience to the staff, all polite bows and offer of recompense.
“but there's no reason to worry,” he declares, gaze steely. “i won't make any more trouble for you.”
he refuses when the director suggests taking it slowly and instead goes straight to practice. but it doesn't look like he needs any of it at all.
as if he's been here all along, he falls into place with the other actors, not a single awkward pause in their scripted conversations and everything smooth sailing. he delivers a flawless performance, like the cameras are already rolling and he's practiced for tens of thousands of times already, not read through a portion of the script in the car ride towards the set.
there is one thing he's struggling with, however.
“you're too stiff with each other,” the acting coach comments, frowning slightly at the two of you and cutting the scene short. “rather than bickering, it's like you're actually arguing, and that's not what we want to portray.”
you blink, exchanging a look with albedo, and look down at his collar you're still gripping.
maybe you do look like you're trying to strangle him instead of pulling him closer to your face for some good ol' sexual tension.
originally, the characters you play didn't get along well in the beginning of the webtoon; the genius detective didn't like to rely on others, conceited enough to believe he can solve the case on his own, hence seeing the journalist as a hindrance since they kept pestering him to let them help him, and he help them in turn so they could work together. the detective didn't deem them “useful” for the investigation, and it was only much later that he (begrudgingly) admitted the journalist can be helpful... sometimes. thus officially starting their partnership for the investigation, and later on, partners in the romantic sense.
there were quite a lot of bickering scenes before the actual romance commenced, and you're struggling with finding a delicate balance to that—where exactly do you draw the line between petty squabbles and severe disputes? how do you show the chemistry between these two characters while butting heads in every instance? the enemies to lovers trope is harder to act than it seems.
“try to get familiar,” the director suggests. “you're stiff because you don't know each other well. you're too shy to touch or get closer. why not leave early and go on a little date by yourselves to fix that?”
“is that really okay...?” you say, unsure. besides being hesitant to leave earlier than the rest, you're also nervous to be alone with your co-actor.
“if he says it's fine, then it's fine.” albedo shrugs, starting to walk towards the dressing room and tugging you along. “but if we're going outside, we should wear disguises. it's also fine if we borrow some of your clothes, right?”
“of course, of course~” the director indulges him. “have fun, kiddos.”
as it turns out, albedo is a master of disguise. he doesn't even have a wig or anything but you almost can't recognize him clad in casual attire. he also almost looks like a stylist while figuring out what outfit to give you, and you're left in awe when you look at yourself in the mirror wearing clothes you wouldn't normally pick out yourself but they look really, really good on you, and they do a good job changing your image too. not that you think anybody would recognize you anyway, unpopular and all.
“where do you want to go?” you trail after him on the way to the bus station, always a step or two behind. albedo makes a humming noise, subtly slowing his pace to match your strides.
“why not just go wherever our feet takes us?” he pipes up. “as long as it's not teeming with people, of course.”
so with zero preparation at all, you do just that. you stop by a bookstore, with you showing him around the comics section and him adamantly insisting the plain hard-cover literature he's picking up is a thrilling epic that will definitely pique your interest, [name] stop yawning-
you pay a visit to the arcade, where you find albedo is clumsy with his feet and can't play dance dance revolution to save his life, but also unnecessarily adept with claw machines because he has a little sister who loves getting stuffed toys. you compete over who gets the most points in the basketball game to decide who pays for dinner, end up in a tie, and move on to a zombie shooting game. you win by a narrow margin and albedo tells you so, but you point a finger at the results and tell him to cough up the cash. then you play around in the photo booth using the craziest filters, and you take the liberty of pasting stickers everywhere.
dinner is a simple affair. albedo looks ready to go to some michelin star establishment but you introduce him to a sushi restaurant that's relatively cheap. he's impressed by the way you swipe at the conveyor belt so quickly. okay, so you may look like an utter glutton right now, but it's fine. not the first time you embarrassed yourself in front of a co-actor.
lastly, you stop by an ice cream shop to get gelato. your appetite is “awe-inspiring,” as albedo put it, but you argue there's always room for dessert.
“will this actually help us, though...?” you sigh, eating a spoonful of gelato. “i don't understand the difference between bickering and arguing.”
“we've done it the whole day,” albedo reminds you, using a tissue to clean the residue of cream on your cheek. “we'll do just fine.”
you stare at him in disbelief. “...is this also one of your habits from taking care of your sister?”
“ah. you could say that.”
just as albedo said, filming goes a lot more smoothly. the playful air is a huge improvement compared to last time when they said you looked ready to beat him to submission. the romantic tidbits are coming along well, too, spun between action-packed scenes where you're pressed against albedo in a slim locker to hide from the murderer lurking nearby or sweet slice of life moments outside of the investigation.
at last, the confession scene is upon you. just a while back, the two main characters got into a full-blown argument; the detective was irritated by the lack of progress in the investigation, and deduced his feelings were distracting him. he decided to keep the journalist at arm's length, never allowing them to go close. of course, they didn't react well to this, and so they pester him again, but the argument became heated and it eventually peaked to “you're an inconvenience to me!” which led them to separate ways.
the journalist, desperate to solve the case on their own, approached people who seemed to be in the know. they were nearly pulled into bed by an attractive yet suspicious man, who's genuinely interested in the journalist romantically and used intel on their younger brother's murder as leverage, but they get interrupted by the detective pounding on the door.
he dragged the journalist out, thoroughly upset at the notion of selling themself, but they deny the accusations and claim they were tricked.
the argument stretched longer, the both of them airing out everything they dislike about the other, but the detective accidentally slipped and confessed his real feelings. the journalist, who never thought of him that way, was frozen on the spot.
it's a long scene requiring much preparation. aside from the amount of lines you have to memorize, there's also a hotel suite you have to borrow for the shoot, the cameras they need to set for the “dragging” scene that has a lot of movement, the really awkward half-bedroom scene you have to act with your co-actor, and the fact that you have to take the confession scene before the sun completely set.
it's truly a busy day. anxiety plagued you the moment you came out of the makeup room, knowing what comes next.
but it's a job, and one especially you couldn't afford to slack on. the kind-of-but-not-really-bedroom scene goes without a hitch, but albedo interrupts you a tad bit too early; the top of your shirt is barely unbuttoned but he's already storming in, ripping you out of the other man's grasp.
the director doesn't chide him for it however, and he drags you out of the hotel as planned. you're a bit frazzled by the suddenness of it all, clothes still rumpled, but it adds on to your acting and your stuttering questions make the scene look more natural.
albedo's fury seeing you in such a disheveled state seems almost genuine, too.
“why are you acting like this?!” you pull your wrist away in an effort to make him let go, as described in the script, but albedo refuses to. an improvisation, perhaps? but now of all times...? “you didn't care about me before! are you trying to be nice now? didn't you say you were sick of putting up with me? you hated me for being stupid, right? guess what, then! i was stupid enough to get almost taken advantage of! if you're just going to lecture me, let go. i don't want to hear any of it. i already know how much of a fool i am.”
you're supposed to back away now, but he doesn't let you do that either. for one step backward, he takes two forward, nose nearly brushing with yours in the close proximity. your face heats up in a combination of confusion and embarrassment, your ears barely registering his lines.
“...never listen to me. you always go off on your own and i still think you're a reckless idiot. you're noisy and brash and you annoy me to no end,” he says in one breath, staring deeply into your eyes. “but seeing you with someone else annoys me even more. to the point i'd abandon everything just to get you back.”
“w...” your throat is incredibly dry. “why would you...”
“whether i like it or not, you've become important to me. i love your stupid laugh and your stupid smile. i love the way you look at me, and i don't want you to look at anyone else. you drive me crazy when you put yourself in danger because i don't want to lose you. i want you so badly that i want you to only think about me, spend time only with me, only love me. i-”
you're fairly certain this is nowhere near his lines in the script.
“i love you so much that it scares me.” his voice trembles as his hand lifts to cup your face, something that finally bears semblance to the original scene. “it was wrong of me to say those horrible things. not just last time. i've been terrible to you, and no amount of apologies can make up for it. but i ask only one more chance.”
his finger hovers at the corner of your lip.
“[name], won't you only look at me?”
you gape like a fish out of water, unable to reply. you're trying to remember your lines, flipping through the mental script in your head, but the director's “cut!” pulls you back to reality.
albedo blinks, getting himself out of the role, and he lets go of you reluctantly, the heat of his fingers lingering on your skin.
“the scene was good, but you said the wrong name.” the director laughs. “it's alright. we can still shoot where we last left off. return to your positions.”
as told, you go back to your previous position. you give a furtive glance at albedo, whose cheeks flare in humiliation. he's probably never done such a rookie mistake before. there's no reason to be that flustered about it; you've made the same error plenty of times.
“i apologize. i won't do it again next time.”
(if he's going to confess, the least he can do is make his own lines for the occasion.)

This Doesn’t Mean We’re Friends - Ch. 2
Hey guys! Another chapter done and posted, I hope y’all enjoy it!! Let me know if you want to be added to the taglist, I probably won’t cap it unless I really need to :)
First | Previous | Here | Next
Marinette and Chloe rode in the Bourgeois limo from Marinette's bakery to the Grand Paris. Chloe filled her in on what to expect and what to do. "I'll be with you most of the time, so I can tell you who to steer clear of, and who you should try to talk to. I'll try to introduce you to a few people I know would be interested in your designs. You made that dress, right?"
"Yeah, designed and created it from scratch." Chloe eyed Marinette's dress appreciatively. It was tastefully made, the dark blue complementing the girl's dark hair and bluebell eyes. The top was halter-style, with a high neckline and no sleeves. It fit Marinette's form, with rhinestones glittering on her torso. The bottom half of her dress was long and elegant, falling loosely to the floor, the front hem higher than the back, showing off Marinette's silver heels. It wasn't half bad.
It was actually quite impressive, as most of Marinette's designs were. She had upgraded from her normal pink capris and grey cardigan outfit after Lila had come back to school, transitioning to a more stylish, modern look. But this dress was nothing less than gorgeous on the small girl, but wasn't overly classy and overdone like some dresses she was sure to see throughout the night. It looked nice, but it didn't look like she was showing off, which Chloe could appreciate.
Chloe herself wore a sleek, sleeveless yellow dress that highlighted her fair skin and bright blue eyes. Chloe's hair flowed freely around her shoulders, curled and styled, while Marinette had hers up in an elegant bun, with loose curls framing her face. Together, the two girls contrasted each other, but the stark differences went well together.
As they pulled up to the front of the hotel, paparazzi and reporters swarmed the red carpet, bombarding the famous partygoers.
"They shouldn't be too interested in us, but just ignore them." Chloe advised Marinette, before opening her door and sliding out of the car. Marinette slipped out behind her, adjusting to the flashing of cameras and the buzz of conversation. She shut the door behind her, and joined Chloe in walking up the front steps.
Just going to the event was sure to bring her some recognition, especially accompanied by Chloe, but she wasn't too worried about being bombarded by paparazzi. Only a few reporters bothered them, and as instructed, Marinette tuned them out.
Once they entered the ballroom, the chatter became more of a dull roar. Chloe greeted a few people mingling just inside the doorway, before they were accosted by a very familiar voice. Adrien, who was dragging a disgruntled Lila along behind him. "Hey guys! It's nice to see you here!" Adrien enthused.
"I'm sure." Chloe said, unamused. "Now if you don't mind, we need to-"
"I thought that you could introduce us to some of your friends here, Chloe. That way Lila can make some new friends-" Adrien interrupted. Lila suddenly looked interested in their conversation.
"Well, since we know how many connections Lila has, I'm sure she doesn't need me to introduce her to anyone." Said Chloe.
"Don't be like that Chl-"
"Chloe!!" Someone near them half shouted, turning the heads of people around them. A boy around their age was walking over to them, waving. "I wasn't sure if you'd come or not. It's been a while."
"Henri!" Chloe said, looking entirely amused. "I haven't spoken to you since that party in London."
"I doubt either of us will ever be invited to that again." Henri said, making Chloe laugh. Now that he was closer, Marinette studied him. He was very handsome, objectively, of course. The kind of easy beauty that makes you want to laugh or cry. He had dark brown curls, and kind brown eyes that sparkled with amusement. When he glanced at her, she felt her face flush a little. Chloe and the stranger, Henri, traded stories and jokes for a minute, while the other three observed. Adrien seemed to recognize the newcomer, and Lila was waiting for her chance to jump into the conversation.
"Now," his voice was quieter, teasing, but making sure the other three heard him as well. "You should introduce me to your very pretty friend here. I don't believe I've seen her at any of your events before." He smirked at Chloe, who rolled her eyes.
"This is-"
"Lila, nice to meet you." The green eyed girl said, sticking out her hand, which he ignored, looking at her with annoyance and slight disbelief, if Marinette had to guess.
Chloe seemed taken aback, "This is Marinette, an amazing up-and-coming designer who my mother and Gabriel Agreste have both scouted for their brands." She turned to Marinette, "This is my friend Henri, his parents are both models and his mother is a designer my mother has collaborated with. I'm sure the two of you have quite a lot in common, so why don't we go find a table to chat?"
"Why don't we come with you? You know that I happen to be friends with quite a few designers and models myself, I might be able to give some input." Lila said, while Adrien, who had been looking angry at Chloe, perked up.
He and his date began to follow the trio, when Chloe said, "Sorry, you two, but my mom reserved a table just for three. And I'm sure Lila can get you guys seats next to someone much more important anyways." She grabbed Marinette and pulled her along with her to a table near the front, Henri following behind them.
"Adrien's gotten worse since last time." The boy remarked as they sat down.
Marinette looked at him disapprovingly, when Chloe responded, "I agree. I thought it was just because of his dad, but his social skills have somehow become even worse since he started going to school."
Marinette looked surprised. Probably because she felt surprised. Didn't Chloe like Adrien? Wasn't he her best friend? Maybe they had a falling out, or maybe Chloe had stopped liking Adrien for the same reason Marinette had. Whatever the case, they could all agree on one thing.
"That girl is nasty." Henri said. "Do you know her?"
Marinette and Chloe looked at each other. "Unfortunately," Chloe supplied. "She's in our class."
"Ah, my apologies. Anyways, it's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Marinette. If you're as good as Chloe said, I'm sure I'll be seeing you around more."
Marinette smiled as Chloe said, "She is quite talented. She made the dress she's wearing."
The bluenette looked at her shoes under the table. "Ah, an excellent designer then. I'll be sure to mention you to my parents when I get the chance. In the meantime, though, Chloe, I need to be going. I need to talk to a few people before I head out, it was good to see you again."
The three stood, and Henri turned and hugged Chloe, and then turned to Marinette. She smiled. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Henri."
"The pleasure is mine, I'm sure." Henri said, and took Marinette's hand, kissing the back of her knuckles lightly, his eyes teasing. Marinette laughed, blushing slightly.
The trio separated, Chloe pulling Marinette off to meet other people.
Through the entire interaction, two pairs of green eyes watched the small group from across the room. One filled with jealousy, one with annoyance and maybe a little sadness too.
----
Throughout the night, Chloe introduced Marinette to dozens of people. A few designers, models, artists, business moguls, celebrities, you name it. In return, Marinette stayed with Chloe and endured tedious conversations she had to engage in for her parents' sake. Chloe would never admit it, but having the baker girl there was nice, it made the evening slightly less unbearable.
For the bluenette, it was great exposure into the fashion world. She got to meet several of her idols and make connections with influential people. People started to hear about her designs, many of them admired the dress she wore that showcased her budding talent.
Style Queen herself was thrilled to see her there. Chloe had let her mother know who she was bringing once Marinette was invited, of course, but Audrey was still happy to see her favorite young designer.
At the end of the evening, Marinette and Chloe rode back to the Dupain-Cheng bakery together. When the limo pulled to a stop, Marinette started to get out, then paused. "Thank you so much for everything Chloe. I know you don't like me much, but tonight was so much fun and I'm so grateful that you introduced me to so many people. And thank you for inviting me to come with you, even if it was just to tick off Lila." Marinette gushed, honestly honored by Chloe's thoughtfulness, even if it was caused by spite.
"Yeah whatever, you're welcome Dupain-Cheng, this doesn't mean we're friends, okay?" Chloe grumbled.
Marinette smiled. "Good night, Chloe." She closed the door before Chloe could respond, and walked into the bakery.
----
When Marinette went to bed that night, she went to sleep with a happy buzz in her chest, Tikki nestled beside her on the pillow.
Alrighty then, I guess that’s Chapter 2 done! I hope y’all liked it!! And that should also be the end of these super short chapters, the next one will definitely be a lot longer, and will hopefully be posted sometime tomorrow?? I love you guys, thanks for all your support!

“I’m almost there. Just wait for a little more.” You half scream to a very impatient Seungkwan rushing you from the other line before hanging up your phone and shoving it into your purse. Right now, you are sitting in the back seat of a cab heading to the airport where the rest of your friends are waiting for you.
To your disappointment, you weren’t going for a vacation in Maldives where you dream of basking under the sun as you dig your feet into the pearly white sand, and a cold refreshing fruit drink in your hand—nope definitely not. Instead, you were going there to wave Chan, your history freak best friend, good-bye before he leaves for his expenditure to Egypt where he will be staying indefinitely.  Of course you were sad to see him off, and it made you sadder that you don’t know when you’ll see him again. His passion for history was undeniably strong that he even chose to become an archeologist (hence the Egypt dream destination). You found his love for the subject to be incredible and very admirable. With that being said, you’ve decided to be a supportive friend and be there to celebrate and see him off as he leaves to start a new chapter in his life.
This isn’t the first time you’ve all had to say good-bye to a friend. In fact, this is the third time and you desperately hope it’s the last because god knows how much more you can withstand seeing your friends leave. A lot has happened in the past four years. At least to your friends.
Minghao and Mingyu left the country. Minghao went back to China to study martial arts, but also because he was homesick. You all saw this coming as you’ve all witnessed his never ending facetimes with his mother. Like yeah, it’s sweet and all that they have a close relationship, but it’d be sweeter if their calls didn’t last until two in the morning. Mingyu is in Paris, France because he is now a supermodel, as surprising as it may sound but it isn't because, wow, the man is fine. Anyway, he now walks on runways in his expensive clothes alongside other famous models whom you could care less about. But you are very happy that he’s become successful.
After graduation, Joshua landed a job at SM publishing company as a book editor, editing countless manuscripts all day. He worked there for his co-op placement in his third year of undergrad school. Apparently they were very impressed with his work and offered him a position as soon as he graduated.
Seungkwan is now a civil rights lawyer with his own law firm—which is very impressive as he literally just graduated law school last year. Him being a lawyer didn’t surprise you though, seeing how much loved to argue his point and what he believed in until he was proven correct—which he says he knew from the very start. This aspect of him makes him one of the best in the field, and that is totally not your biased opinion.
Wonwoo is now a striving film editor. Since he was a philosophy major, hearing that he was gonna go into film was shocking news to you. But after looking at some of his works, you admit he does have talent in the field. Directors are practically on their knees begging him to be in their editing team. Who would’ve thought that the man who used to eat dog treats would make it this far.
Seungcheol opened up a club with performers, but you weren’t going to question that. The man was a business major, and so if this is what he learned and if this is how he wants to run his business, then it’s whatever. Afterall, it is his business, literally. Besides, he said he’s happy about it and that it gives him lots of money, and therefore, you should be happy for him too.
Vernon? He’s stuck in medical school with you. But boy you were relieved this year will be your last before starting your internship. That is if you pass the board exams. Vernon has been busting his ass studying and preparing for this huge exam because it’s probably the biggest exam a medical student ever does in their entire life. He spends at least thirty hours a week at the library, his face stuffed between piles and piles of medical textbooks, and taking notes until his hand gets numb.
He can’t say the same for you though. There is not a day where he rings your phone to ask how many hours you spent today for committed studying. You would get a long sigh and a fat scolding when your answer is three hours or less, which is the case often.
As a medical student you’d expect reading textbooks, doing research and taking notes to take up three quarters of your day. But your life is not at all how you pictured it to be. You work two shifts at the cafe you’ve worked at for four years; one in the morning and one in the evening. Though studying while working isn’t exactly forbidden by your boss, it’s not a good idea since the two shifts you work for happens to be when the cafe is the busiest.
Anyway, you do this because you need money to provide for yourself and your boyfriend who lives with you. Speaking of, after your graduation, Jeonghan has decided to pursue a singing career, and although it may have been an impulsive decision that was made on a random day as he chats with his friends, you were quite surprised to see that it’s not as bad as you thought it’d be? Question mark because your friends would say otherwise.
Your friends, specifically Seungkwan, would say it’s worse than you had expected. But Jeonghan was trying his best, and that’s all that mattered. You believe that one day he will get noticed and will achieve his dreams, and you wanted to be beside him for it. To be beside him all the way through. But as of now, he is trying his very best.
Sometimes he would get calls from bars or restaurants to do a little show, and when he does, you also go with him, even if that means missing a shift at the cafe or sacrificing your study time to watch your boyfriend’s gig. He doesn’t make much from them, which is why you work  so you can have money to buy groceries, to pay the bills and to pay rent of your shared apartment. But you didn’t mind, not a single bit. You wanted to be supportive towards your boyfriend, and you’re happy seeing that he is doing what he likes. Nope, you didn’t mind at all.
“That’ll be twenty seven bucks and forty three cents.” The driver informs you of the fee. You take out your wallet and take out a twenty dollar bill and a five dollar bill. You unzip the little pocket where you store your coins to get the remaining change, but you took in a gasp when you saw the pocket was empty.
“I’m so sorry, it seems as though I only have twenty five bucks at the moment.” You apologize as you look at him through the rear-view mirror of his car. He said it was fine, you thank him and apologize again before leaving the car.
As you pass through the airport doors, you see each of your friends giving Chan a hug. You sprint to where they were, and fortunately, you make it right on time.
“Took you long enough,” Seungkwan mumbles with his arms crossed to his chest as you passed by him. The others, Wonwoo, Seungcheol, Vernon and Joshua all greet you with relieved smiles etched on their faces.
You wrap Chan in a warm hug, your chin resting on his shoulder and the scent which you will miss like crazy fills your nose. He hugs you back, “Glad you made it!”
“Of course I’d make it,” you say as you pull away.
Chan glances behind you as if he was looking for something. “Jeonghan didn’t come with you?”
“Probably drunk at their apartment,” Seungkwan mumbles as he stares into the airport ceilings. The rest of the guys shoot him a death glare, and Vernon tells him to shut his air hole.
“Sorry,” you look at him apologetically, “he had a gig last night. He’s really tired, but he wishes you good luck.” You lied. Seungwan was right, well sort of. Jeonghan was in fact at your apartment with a hangover. You didn’t want to admit it because if you do, Chan might miss his flight because instead of getting on board, he would first scold you, then drive to your apartment to have a not so gentle talk with your boyfriend. So you kept your mouth shut.
“Flight 2342 to Cairo, Egypt now boarding,” the PA calls.
It was forty minutes before his flight so he needed to board the plane. You all collectively wave him a goodbye and wish him a good life there. He pulls his suitcase behind him and walks away, occasionally glancing back.
“Have fun! Stay safe!” Vernon shouts. Seungkwan follows with, “Call us when you get there!”
“If you dig up a hot mummy, tell it to hit me up!” You smack Wonwoo’s arms, and he laughs, amused by his inappropriate comment. But Chan gives him a thumbs up, causing all of you to burst out in laughter.

“Zayn, I promise I’m right around the corner,” you said into the phone. “I went home for lunch and it took a little more time than I had expected.”
You heard the singer laugh on the other end of the line. “It’s alright, you are always on time. I can excuse this one. You aren’t even that late.” You checked your phone to confirm what he was saying. Six minutes late. Not that bad.
“I could be a little earlier. I parked the car at the usual parking spot so I’m really just around the corner.” You looked back at Jimin. He had stopped walking and was looking behind him. Some shop window had probably caught his attention. There were many charming independent shops in the area. “By the way Jimin is with me, he wanted to get out of the house. I didn’t think you would mind.”
“I don’t,” Zayn said. “I would like to see the lad again. You talk so much about him, about all of them really, it would be nice to actually see him instead of hearing about him.”
“I mean…” You paused. “C’mon, I don’t talk about them that much.”
Zayn huffed. “Keep telling yourself that. But I’ll let you have this one. Other than them and work, do you even have any other news?”
“I totally have other news.” Zayn waited. It was slightly worrying that you came up empty. “I’m drowning in work, okay? What other news would I have? Ehhh, have you met Astrid?”
In the short silence that followed, you could hear Zayn rolling his eyes. “Taylor’s hybrid is hardly news, she adopted her a month ago. You were literally together in Nashville. And did you forget I told you that last time I met up with Taylor Astrid was with her? Do you listen that well to what I’m saying?”
“Oh, right. I had wanted to come too, but you know work-” You were cut off by the sound of quick footsteps on the gravel behind you. Not many people wandered these streets. You turned back in time to see Jimin running in the opposite direction down the street. “Jimin!” You shouted. He didn’t stop. He should have heard you. With his hybrid hearing, he should have heard you. “I have to go. We’ll be more late.” You ended the call and took off.
You thanked whatever deities could hear you for deciding to wear sneakers instead of high heels to work. When you had important meetings with the higher ups of the film studios, you would dress nicer and high heels were etiquette at this point. Lucky for you, this day you didn’t have any meetings of that kind but rather a more active role as the director. High heels would only slow you down.
Chasing Jimin down the streets, you were glad nothing was slowing you down. You called his name again and again but he wouldn’t reply, just kept running. Your mind jumped to the worst things that could have happened. No one was chasing him, other than you. He wasn’t running away from someone, unless… Unless he was running away from you. But no. Jimin wouldn’t do that. He had no reason to run away from you. He had been a little strange before and something was certainly off but he wouldn’t run away.
You didn’t let yourself entertain the thought anymore, just put one foot in front of the other as fast as you could. Your heart was racing but it wasn’t solely because of running.
Around a corner, in a small alleyway nestled between a small art shop and a closed down building, Jimin had stopped. You stopped too. A large graffiti in blue spray paint read “The world isn’t fair, why should we be?”.
“Jimin?” you repeated quietly, it felt wrong shouting here.
Jimin was frozen in the middle of the alley, his eyes wide. His hands were fisted at his sides, they were shaking. Someone was standing against the wall.
Jimin went to take a step forward but a hiss stopped him. “Yoongi?”
“Step back,” the man said. Black cat-like ears were turned back, their fur blending into his pitch black hair. Narrowed dark eyes regarded Jimin. Jimin didn’t back down.
“Yoongi, it’s me,” Jimin said, albeit with a little less confidence. His eyes were open and vulnerable, staring at the other hybrid like he was a dream he was too afraid to wake up from, yet he wasn’t sure if he should call it a nightmare. “It’s Jimin, don’t you remember me?”
Yoongi didn’t reply. His shoulders were drawn high in tension, making more obvious the teared up fabric on his shoulder. It wasn’t the only tear on his clothes, his jeans were ripped in a way that didn’t look intentional and the hem of his shirt was torn and scuffed. One of his hands was tightly clutching a baseball cap. “Stay away from me.”
 There was so much pain in Jimin’s eyes. All you wanted to do was gather him in your arms and hold him until it was gone, but something was holding you back.
 “I looked for you. In the shelter and in the streets. I tried to find you for years.” Jimin’s lip trembled. “Where have you been?”
 Yoongi looked away. “You don’t want to know.”
 “Please,” Jimin whispered and you could hear the heartbreak in his voice. “I-I’m so sorry.”
 That made Yoongi’s head shoot up. “You’re sorry? What-”
 Just then, your phone started ringing. Both hybrids looked at you. Alarmed, Yoongi backed further into the alley. Perfect timing. You thought Zayn must be calling you, asking you what had happened and where you had gone, but it was Namjoon. Wary of the deadly glare Yoongi was sending your way, you declined the call.
“Who are you?” Yoongi hissed. The fur on his tail was standing on end and you could imagine him pouncing on you and tearing you apart with his teeth. You hadn’t been as nervous around a hybrid as you were at the moment. With Namjoon, it was more wariness than anything else. But this time a thread of fear was slithering up your arms. There was dried blood on Yoongi’s knuckles. There was no John this time and you didn’t have only yourself to worry about.
 "She's my owner," Jimin replied for you. It wasn't the way you would have phrased it and Yoongi's eyes narrowed further until they were nothing more than twin slits. "Yoongi, please," he said again. You didn't know what he was pleading for.
 "She's your owner?" Yoongi spat out the word like it was the worst of insults.
 You had a very bad feeling about this.
 Jimin clenched his jaw, standing up straighter. "She isn't like him, she's nothing like him. She saved me."
 Yoongi didn't say anything. His back was one with the wall by now.
 Jimin averted his gaze, shoulders slumping. "I-I missed you. I thought... I thought he had done something to you." He hugged his frame, making himself look smaller. "I thought he hurt you," the last words came out as a whimper.
 Yoongi was quick to shake his head. "He didn't, he didn't hurt me. You shouldn't have worried about me. You shouldn't be thinking about me."
 "But I was! I still am!"
 Yoongi looked away, he didn't move from the wall. It was clear the two hybrids knew each other but there were too many things you couldn't make sense of. Yoongi must have been someone important to Jimin if he had chased him all the way here and by what they were saying he had something to do with Jimin's past owner. You had assumed Jimin had been alone with that vile man, you hadn't considered having someone there with him. Someone he seemed to care for. Maybe he had met him at one of those parties Jimin had mentioned his owner liked to take him to, or he was one of his friends' hybrid.
 Your brain was in overdrive but your body was rooted on the spot. You didn't want to intrude but you were worried. Meanwhile, you only had limited time before you had to get back to work...
Stupid brain, you cursed. This was such an important moment for Jimin and here you were thinking about work.
 “I have to go," Yoongi said, pulling himself away from the wall.
 "No!" Jimin protested loudly, moving as if he was going to reach for the other hybrid. "I have been looking for you for years. Don't go. Please." He had been saying please a lot today.
 Although Jimin didn't touch him, the other hybrid stopped, as if he was unable to leave Jimin behind when he was calling for him. His fists were clenched at his sides and you could see the dried up blood on his knuckles better. It looked like he had left the blood clog up for a day or more instead of cleaning it. It would be easy to get an infection, especially with the dirt and grime all over his clothes and skin.
"Is she treating you right?" Yoongi asked after a few moments of silence.
 Jimin's eyes widened at the question, brimming with tears. You held your breath. "She's my family." He glanced at you. "She taught me how to cook. She takes care of us and she lets us dress any way we like. She lets us go out alone, too, I haven't yet but I could... We went to the lake and we stayed there all day and had a picnic and... and... I'm- I'm happy. I'm happy, Yoongi."
 Yoongi lowered his head. "You deserve to be happy," he said quietly but even your human hearing picked it up. He took a step forward.
"Wait." You were surprised to hear your own voice. "You should disinfect your cuts, you could get sick if you leave them like this." Not your best, but enough to make his stop and look at you. Jimin gave you a hopeful look. "I have a medical kit in my car, I can clean them and if you want, then you can leave."
Yoongi's eyes narrowed slightly. His hands were shaking. "You know how to give first aid?"
 You nodded. "I have taken a few lessons, I know my way around it."
 "She's really good," Jimin confirmed. Neither of you could forget the night you had met. Purplish bruises, stark white gauze and fearful eyes.
 Yoongi's cat-like ears twitched. It didn't give you any specific answers as to the kind of hybrid he was. His tail was black as well, it stayed low as he contemplated your offer.
"I don't need your help, I'm fine, " Yoongi said. His eyes flickered to the other end of the alleyway. You could sense the internal battle going on inside him, vices gripping his body as he vibrated with something you were hesitant to call nervousness. His eyes locked with Jimin for a moment and his shoulder slumped slightly. "I don't need your help… but there is someone who does. Can you help him?"
 You ignored the suspicious glare and gathered all your confidence. "I can do my best."
 A small nod. "Go get your supplies."
 He stayed glued to the spot so you turned to Jimin. You cupped his cheek gently and said, "I'm going to the car, I'll be back in a moment." The cat hybrid nodded and you speed-walked to the parking lot, thankfully it wasn't too far away. You would have run if you hadn't already been tired from chasing Jimin. You grabbed the first aid kit from the trunk before rushing back. It was a medium sized box, containing all the essentials, from gauze, band-aids and disinfectant to various pills, like Advil and Claritin. "I've got it," you said when you arrived back at the alleyway, finding the two of them in the same spots you had left them.
 Yoongi glanced at you and the white medical kit, and then he was walking away. You took that as a sign to follow him. You slipped your hand in Jimin's, who gave you a small smile, and intertwined your fingers. This neighborhood housed one of your favorite coffee shops, the one you had planned to meet Zayn at, but you hadn’t wandered far from the quiet aesthetic streets with the colorful buildings and the tiny squares.
 As you walked further away, the scenery changed. More graffiti appeared on the walls. Words dripping in red and black. Slurs and protests. You kept Jimin close to your side. After ten minutes of walking, Yoongi stopped in front of a two-story building. The door was hanging off from only one of its hinges, as if holding onto a thread. Shattered windows, peeling paint on the walls and pieces of white plastic sheets angling from seemingly random places didn’t leave any room for doubt whether the building was abandoned.
Yoongi slipped in through the half opened door and disappeared in the partial darkness inside. Two balconies were situated above the door on either side, parts of them chipped off. You were worried they would fall on your heads at any any moment. You tugged Jimin forward and twisted your body to get inside without touching the door or the wall. Jimin did the same and you were faced with an empty room. You couldn't see much, sunlight didn't get in the house properly and the plastic sheets prevented most of the rays from passing through.
 The smell of rot drifted in the air and you could almost feel the dust swirling around. You resisted an instinctual cough. It was mostly in your mind, the feeling that dust was suffocating you, but your mind tricked your body quickly. You ignored it and walked further into the house, leaving footprints behind on the granite floor. The light got dimmer the further you went and your eyes had trouble adjusting. Jimin's eyesight was much better than yours and like cats he could see well in darkness.
 One of the rooms, with the dirtied floral tapestry peeling off from the walls, opened up to a grand staircase. Once upon a time it must have been beautiful, polished wood shining under the light of the chandeliers. You could imagine balls taking place here, women wearing beautiful gowns and men in tuxes made by the biggest names in fashion, mingling and sharing drinks. Now, the room was a ghost of its former glory, a place that belonged in a horror film instead of a period drama.
 Jimin's hand slipped from yours and you reached blindly for him. The room wasn't in total darkness but it was dark enough to make you nervous.
 In all of your observation of the staircase you hadn't noticed that there was something in the space under the stairs. A boy was curled up on a ratty blanket so thin, it must have been doing nothing to shield him from the cold granite underneath. Yoongi was kneeling next to him but you couldn't make out his features or if he was talking or not. You were too far to hear anything and the building was by no means quiet (you had a suspicion that a family of mice or cockroaches had made its home somewhere inside and you prayed you were wrong). You approached cautiously.
 "-alone. Please, don't go again. I'm fine," you could hear the boy saying as you got closer. His voice was croaky, from disuse or pain you weren't sure. He must have been the one Yoongi wanted you to help. You couldn't see him clearly but you could make out the ears peeking out from his hair. Another hybrid.
Yoongi was holding his hand. "You aren't fine, I had to do something. I brought help."
 The boy hadn't noticed you so far, he must have been pretty bad if he didn't hear you coming in and didn’t notice your scent. When his eyes landed on you he only curled up tighter with a whimper.
 "We're here to help you, not hurt you," you said, coming a little closer when Yoongi didn't hiss at you. You showed him the medical kit you were holding. "I only want to help if you let me."
 He didn't uncurl from the ball he had created with his body but Yoongi looked at you expectantly. You knelt on the floor next to the blanket, ridiculously aware of the dust and grime your expensive pants must be gathering. Your mind was jumping from one place to the next so it wasn't surprising that for some reason it decided it was worth it to worry about dirtying your pants. With Yoongi's help, you coaxed him out of the ball so you could start treating him. After turning on the flashlight on your phone, you handed it to Jimin, instructing him to keep it steady while you worked.
The boy clenched his eyes shut at the light, you wondered how long he had stayed here in semi-darkness.
You opened the first aid kit and took stock of the supplies inside, everything was there. You didn't know the extent of his injuries but his labored breathing and sharp flinches whenever he moved told you enough. In the artificial light, you took a better look at the boy laying on the floor. His hair was a reddish shade of orange. A fluffy tail was half-hidden behind his body. A fox hybrid. You had never seen once before.
The awe and curiosity didn’t last long. Your eyes were drawn on his swollen eye, a shocking purple painting his skin. It wasn't the only place tainted with color. His cheek had a purplish bruise as well and his lips were cut in two places. A trail of blood had dried underneath his nose.
"I'll start with your face, okay?" you asked, but the hybrid didn't reply, he just tightened his hold on the blanket. Taking off his clothes, to tend to the rest of the injuries you were sure were hiding underneath, would only make him more uncomfortable. You pulled out a water bottle from your bag, you were always carrying one with you, and poured a small amount on a white cloth. Before the cloth could touch his face, you spoke up, "My name is Y/N. Do you want to tell me your name?"
Wide fearful eyes turned to Yoongi, who gestured vaguely with his hand. "H-Hoseok," the boy whispered.
 "Hoseok," you repeated, testing the name on your tongue. "That's a nice name. I like the way it sounds." Gently, you dabbed the cloth on his bottom lip, the boy flinched at the contact. He didn't pull away so you continued. "I'm not a professional, I'm not a doctor or a nurse or anything. My profession is actually very different from that, though I did have to play nurse a few times. I would like to think I'm quite good at this by now. I've taken a few lessons, I was fascinated with first aid when I was younger. I don't even know why."
 You continued speaking while tending to the wounds on his face. Earlier in your life you had discovered that talking, or at least listening to someone speak, would take the other's mind off the pain a little. By the time you were finished with his face, you had told him the whole story of how you had come to learn first aid and how you had panicked and forgotten everything you had learnt the first time someone had fainted in front of you, only remembering what to do when a friend of yours had pinched you. Hoseok listened to everything you said silently, his lips curling up a tiny bit at the last story. Maybe you exaggerated a bit and you made way too many hand gestures for someone supposed to be tending to his wounds but it seemed to be working.
Yoongi helped him pull off his shirt and you heard a gasp from behind you as his torso was revealed. His body was toned but a few of his ribs were pushing out in ways they probably shouldn't. It wasn't too bad but it was clear he hadn't been eating well for some time. But that wasn't the worst and it wasn't what you noticed first. Large bruises littered his body and what looked like the imprint of a hand was left on his bicep.
Switching topics, you told him about your first time coming to Los Angeles. Hoseok let out a breath as you started speaking again. As you checked his ribs, you recalled your very first days in the city, when you had been as excited as afraid to go to University in a brand new city where you had no friends. He hissed at the contact, but didn't object otherwise. You observed the way he breathed, taking note of the heavy bruising over his ribcage. You applied salve over the area and all the other bruises on his torso and the few on his back, the front had taken the blunt of whatever had happened. You had a suspicion but didn't speak of it yet.
His right arm was broken, he was holding it immobile close to his body. One touch and you were certain of it. Disinfecting a rather large cut on his arm, you wrapped it in gauze after coating the injury in a thin layer of cream. The cream smelled awful and was a sickly green color but you could testify to how effective it was. You did your best to make a cast for the arm, you hadn't done it before outside of a class and it was more of a struggle than you had expected. When his arm was secured in the cast, you trailed off your recounting of a stupid fight you had with one of your cousins that resulted in both of you getting lost. You were done. Hoseok looked at you with wide eyes, as if asking you why you stopped.
"This is it, we're all done," you said, rubbing your hands together with hand sanitizer like you had before treating him. "When did he... get injured?"
"Why do you need to know?" Yoongi asked, at the same time as Hoseok croaked out, "Yesterday."
 "What pill I give him to relieve the pain depends on when he got hurt. Some kinds could slow down the healing process if they are taken less than 48 hours after the injury." Digging into the small suitcase-like kit, you handed him two paracetamol tablets along with the water bottle. There was still had some water inside. "It will numb the pain, it takes about an hour to work," you explained.
 Hoseok tentatively took the pills and bottle from you. He drunk the water in one gulp and you were reminded again that he might have gone without water for some time. "Thank you," he said, his eyes on the blanket.
You sighed, getting up from the floor and dusting off your pants. Just like you had expected, two white patches were left on your knees. "I'm afraid, other than a broken arm, you might have fractured one of your ribs. I noticed the area hurts more than the rest and you have some trouble breathing." Jimin who hadn't moved much while you were working, latched himself on your back. The situation was too familiar for him. The injuries, the smell of the disinfectant and the fear in Hoseok's eyes. And just like that night your heart was clenching, begging you to do more. It worked once, why wouldn't it again? The traitorous organ whispered.
 Yoongi had sat on the blanket next to Hoseok, who had crawled closer to him, his side touching leg. The silence is broken as your phone starts ringing again. You had set it on silent so whoever is calling you must have made many attempts. You are expecting to see Namjoon's name flash on the screen with the wolf and moon emojis, but instead it is the name of one of the producers.
 While tending to Hoseok, you had almost forgotten you had to be at work after the supposedly short trip to the coffee shop. You had to take this. At the other side of the staircase, close to a door that led to what must have been a dining room once, you answered the call.
 Everyone had been looking for you, worried about your absence. You had never been late to work before, often you would show up before you were scheduled to, in order to get some additional work done. Three missed call, that's how many times just the producer had called you. His worry soon turned into irritation, asking you why you didn't inform them and why you weren't answering your phone. They had called everyone close to you to find out what had happened and no one had any answers.
 You were more than an hour late. An hour you were supposed to spend guiding the actors and getting the first feeling of a few scenes. Those plans went down the drain.
 You peeked over the railing of the staircase. Jimin was standing closer to the space Hoseok was laying under the stairs. They were talking but they were being quiet and you couldn't hear what they were saying over the loud voice of the producer coming from the phone and your own too loud thoughts. You tried to explain yourself, staying as close to the truth as possible, which was admittedly difficult. In the end, you used the personal emergency card. Although the producer didn't sound convinced, he let you off, scolding you half-heartedly about calling next time instead of leaving them in the dark looking for you and thinking about the worst.
 Ending the call, you looked through all the ones you missed and the texts they had sent you. You replied to a few of the texts, giving the same answer as you had to the producer. There were several from Zayn, asking where you were and if you were okay. In the final one he asked you to call him as soon as you could. Guilt gnawed at your insides. You had left him alone waiting for you for forty minutes, until he was sure there was no chance of you coming. You were an awful friend. Namjoon had also sent you a few messages. Someone had called the land-line at your house. No word from you. You and Jimin had both disappeared. Cradling your heavy heart, you sent a message to Namjoon assuring him that Jimin was with you and you were both alright. You hoped that would be enough for now.
 Pocketing your phone you walked around the stairs. Closer to them you could pick up parts of their conversation. Yoongi and Jimin were arguing, silent tears streaming down Jimin's face. You held yourself back from running to him and pulling him away from whatever was hurting him. This was Jimin's battle, you would let him fight it. He rarely spoke of the demons of his past but they were many and frightening with long claws and sharp teeth.
 Jimin suddenly reached for your hands. "Tell them, tell them to come home with us. Please, they can't stay here. We have a lot of space in the house, they can take one of the rooms until he heals."
 Your mouth was faster than your brain. That was a problem you didn't have to worry about before but something was changing. "They can come home with us if they want." Yoongi hissed, ready to protest. "A fractured rib isn't a trivial matter, he would need medical supervision but I can guess you don't want to go to a hospital. I can tend to it until he gets better, he will need medication to relieve the pain and plenty of bed rest. This place will only slow his healing."
 "Yoongi, please. Let me..." He stopped with a sniffle. "Just come with us. I need you to come with us." That seemed to break any of the resolve the older hybrid had. Hoseok didn't react at all, remaining curled in on himself.
 "Okay, we'll come," Yoongi said. "We'll come, but we'll leave as soon as he's better.

It should be way more surprising when you show up at the Castle with Jimin and two unfamiliar hybrids in tow. The initial surprise lasted only a few minutes before everyone just sort of accepts this. Namjoon was the most wary but you couldn't blame him, his instincts were screaming to protect his pack and while Hoseok in his condition was by no means a threat, Yoongi didn't exactly look friendly. Jungkook had hopped away soon after with Jin. The bunny hybrid wasn’t good with strangers. You suspected that he had inherited some bunny instincts that made him jumpy and easily afraid around predators.
You led the two new hybrids to the guest room with the two queen beds on the second floor, and like you had with Jin, you gave them the key. Yoongi looked at you suspiciously but didn't say anything. Hoseok fell asleep as soon as his body hit the soft mattress. Their reaction to the house had been similar to most people’s. Wide eyes and disbelief. It didn’t serve to calm Yoongi down, instead he looked like you had been leading him straight into some sort of trap.
 Jimin stuck close to you as you called John from your office. He was one of the first people your team had called, it just happened that the day they needed him was the day he hadn't accompanied you. He was fuming when he answered, worried out of his mind and, unlike the producer, he didn't let you off easily. You had been rash, forgot about any rational thoughts, put yourself and Jimin in danger, didn't call anyone for backup in case something happened. Those hybrids could have been serial killers for all you knew. The list went on and on.
 "I'm coming over as soon as I can," he said. "I have to see those hybrids for myself. You can't just go around picking up hybrids like they are new projects. What mess have you gotten yourself in this time?"
 "Hopefully, not too big of one," you muttered. "You don't have to come, really. I've got everything under control and it's your week off. I took the rest of the day off so I'll be home. I swear I'll call you if anything happens."
 "There is no way I'm leaving you in the house with two hybrids you just picked up from the street and decided to nurse back to health-"
 "One of them is fine," you interrupted him.
 Yoongi didn't have any visible injuries other than his bloody knuckles and a slit lip he wouldn't let you touch. Even if he had more, there was no way he would let you tend to them.
 "And that makes it better how?" John asked. "I mean, good for him he isn't injured, but that doesn't guarantee your safety. If he is fine, he could try something. Don't forget that hybrid's have human DNA too, there are bad apples regardless of how much you want to keep looking at the good ones. Just because it worked once, doesn't mean it will work again. "
 Jimin was sitting on the edge of your desk, his head tilted to the side. He could hear everything with his hearing. You ruffled his blond hair and he leaned into your touch. "It isn't the same," you said.
"Isn't it? It sounds awfully a lot like something I've heard before." John sighed. "It isn't that I don't trust your judgment, but lately you act then ask questions lately. I trust you but I don't trust everyone you take into your house. They could take all of your jewelry before they disappear or it could be much much worse."
 "Contrary to popular belief, I'm not completely defenseless." The first years John was assigned to you, he had decided to teach you the basics of self-defense. He couldn't always be with you and you  hadn't been able to throw a punch to save your life. The lessons had paid off and, although you were no black belt student, you could defend yourself to an extent if you had to. "I'm serious, you don't have to come over. What about Alice? She wouldn't want her father running off when he promised her he would spend the week with her."
 John huffed. "You are evil, using my daughter against me."
 "I will add it to my resume," you said. "I'm alright and I'm going to be alright. You know I'm not alone, if anything happens we can count on each other, and you can come in a few days when your break is over and check in."
 "I'll accept this only because I have heard Namjoon growl when he thinks someone in his pack is threatened," you felt warmth seep in your cheeks when John mentioned so casually that you were part of their pack, "and Jungkook has gained enough muscle in the last few months to launch a nice punch if he needs to protect himself or someone." It was difficult to imagine your sweet bunny hybrid punching anyone, especially given the way you had found him, but it was true that the time he spent in the gym paid off.
 John didn't come over. He stayed with his daughter because he had promised they would go to the zoo together as soon as she woke up from her afternoon nap. You went through a few papers after the phone call, reassuring yourself multiple times that the whole TV show wouldn’t crumble because you had taken one day off work (you really needed to work on your sense of self-importance). Jimin had turned his body on the desk so he could see what you were doing without taking up too much space.
 They would be fine without you. The conclusion wasn't hard to reach but you had tortured yourself a lot over it. Missing days of work was almost unheard for you. You scheduled your life around your work schedule, the breaks were on specific dates and you didn't need to take extra ones. To miss work, you had to be so sick you couldn't get out of bed without fainting.
 You put the papers in their respective folders and placed them back on the bookshelves. "Now that we are alone, do you think you can tell me what happened?" you asked, feeling Jimin's eyes on your back.
 "I-" He averted his gaze, his fingers wrapping and unwrapping on the hem of his shirt, wrinkles forming  on the material and smoothing out again. "I'm sorry."
 You walked around the desk, coming closer to him. "That's not what I wanted to hear. A warning before taking off would have been nice, though. My mind went to the worst possibility and you wouldn't answer my calls or wait for me."
 Jimin was about to apologize but stopped himself. "I couldn't lose him. I couldn't stop running, I couldn't lose him again. I couldn't really hear you... It was like a fog was over everything other than the path I was following. I needed to make sure it was Yoongi, that he was alright."
 You touched Jimin's thighs, situating him better on the desk so you were standing between his legs. "Do you want to tell me about it?"
 He hesitated before reaching for your hand and holding it in his. He brought it close to his face and started nuzzling on your wrist. He had told you your scent calmed him and he liked it when your scents mingled. Placing a kiss on the center of your wrist, he pulled back a little, keeping your hand in his.
 "He was there, in my old house," he said. "I was around sixteen when he was brought in. My owner didn't say why he was there but Yoongi is a panther hybrid, he could brag about him to his friend and he was also a guard. He was supposed to be protecting the house, to be protecting me. I was all alone there and then I wasn't. He was suddenly there and I wanted a friend so bad. Yoongi was gentle and he was kind, he would stay with me when I was feeling lonely. He cooked for me when he could, the food was delicious. I remember loving it but I'm not sure it was because of the food itself or because he was the one who had cooked it. Maybe both." He lowered his head, his cat ears pinned to his head. "We did something. We did something very bad. He took Yoongi away and I was returned to the adoption center. I never learnt what he did to him. I thought..." His voice cracked.
 You shushed him, stepping even closer and taking his into your arms. He wrapped his arms around your neck pulling you against his chest. "He's alright. You're safe here. This is a safe place."
 "I know," he mumbled into your shoulder. "I know."
 You cupped his neck with one hand, rubbing small circles with your thumb on his neck. "Do you trust him? Do you trust him to stay here until Hoseok recovers?"
 He nodded. "I trust him, I would trust him with my life."
 You held him in silence for some time, just feeling him breath against your chest. "What did you do with Yoongi?" you asked, curious. Jimin stiffened, you felt like he was holding his breath. "You don't have to tell me."
 His body relaxed a little, leaning on you. "I can't, we shouldn't have done it. We betrayed him. I couldn't hold myself back, I was weak. I'm stronger now, I promise. I wouldn’t be able to bear it if your hated me."
 What he said made you jolt back. Jimin whined lowly but you were quick to cup his soft cheek. "I could never hate you. Nothing in this world could make me hate you," you said, gazing into his watery eyes. Even with tears threatening to fall, he looked beautiful. "My Jiminie. Nothing you say will ever change my feelings about you. Your past doesn't define you. Whatever you did to that man, he deserved it."
 "But you don't."
 You didn't understand what he meant. "What?" You looked into his eyes but you only found sadness there. The small smile on his lips hurt more than his tears would.
 He sniffled. "Don't leave me. Don't throw me away," he pleaded.
 You squeezed his thigh, leaning your forehead against his. "Never, I'll never leave you. I will always watch over you, I swear."
“I’m not worth it. I’m not worthy of the care you give me,” he whimpered.
“You are. You are worth everything and so much more.”

 Namjoon was sitting on the largest couch in the living room, a documentary about ocean life playing on TV. His ears twitched a little when he heard you climbing up the stairs. You stayed standing for a moment, watching the screen as a blue whale emerged from the water shooting up a water water spray like a fountain. Their tails flapped against the water. Such magnificent creatures. They were endangered species, the man speaking explained, hunted and killed for their meat and blubber. On top of that, pollution, vessel strikes, entanglement in traps and nets and more.
If there was one thing humans knew how to do is destroy beautiful things.
“Are you okay?” Namjoon asked.
You shrugged. “Shouldn’t I be asking that? Or some variation of it?” You turned away from the screen and settled on the couch, leaving some distance between you. “I didn’t have the chance to ask you before springing this on you.”
“I can handle it, I think,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I don’t think Jimin left you much of a choice if he ran after him. If his mind is set on something, he won’t stop until he gets it.”
“Do you know anything about him? Yoongi? Jimin told me some things but he doesn’t want to say everything.”
Namjoon shook his head. “I didn’t even know he existed until now. Jimin never mentioned it. He doesn’t like talking about his past. I can understand, but then things like this happen. I just wish he shared more with us, so we could help him.”
“I know,” you agreed. “I feel the same. But it’s only temporary. In about a week Hoseok will be well enough to go. Not completely healed, that could take up to a month or more, but he will be better.”
He cracked a small smile. “You can’t really stand there doing nothing, can you?”
You couldn’t, could you? You had always been one to try to help in any way you could. It didn’t matter what the problem was, you wanted to help. An issue at work, a dilemma one of your friends was facing, human rights, poverty, hunger. Homeless injured hybrids. But you usually were careful, you would think the problem over, review all the points and then try to find a solution.
Since when did you throw caution to the wind?
You liked to pride yourself on your mind. You could see the things other people couldn’t and laid new paths when others hadn’t bothered to stray a foot from the blocked road. It felt like you were slipping.
“I didn’t know what else to do,” you said, hiding your face in your hands. “Jimin was so sad and Hoseok’s ribs are fractured-”
Namjoon cut you off by tugging at your arm. He pulled you closer to him. “I trust you, you know I trust you.”
“That doesn’t always make things better,” you said, laying your head on his shoulder. “What if I’m wrong? What if you trusted me and I’m wrong? And, I don’t know, something really bad happens.”
“Then we’ll face the consequences together.” He didn’t hesitate. “I’ll tell you if I think you’re wrong and we will work it out. Now, I’m not sure. We don’t know what happened or why one of them has fractured ribs and a broken arm. I saw the blood on Yoongi’s hands. All we know is that he was part of Jimin’s past.”
The screen was darker as lion fish were swimming around the bottom of the sea, illuminated by blue light. They weren’t afraid of the diver, aware of the poison in their back spines, the narrator said.
You shuffled around a little, getting comfortable on Namjoon’s side. His arm snaked around your waist, settling on your hip. The words unsaid between the two of you were choking you.
“Jungkook came to me earlier,” he said. “He was crying. He told me he had done something horrible, something he couldn’t forgive himself for. It took me hours to calm him down. He said I needed to find Jimin and make sure he was okay. After what he had done, Jungkook said he wouldn’t want to see him again.”
You frowned. “Jungkook said that?” That sounded nothing like the sweet boy you knew. Sure, Jungkook liked joking around, teasing all of you and he could be very stubborn. But he looked at Jimin like he was his muse and whatever he created would be bland and pointless without him. “Jimin caught me last minute before I left the house. He didn’t look well, he was panicked. It was like he was trying to escape something. He didn’t tell me what happened and I didn’t want to push him and make things worse. Where is Jungkook?"
“At the atelier, Jin is there with him. I don't know what we'd do without him," Namjoon said. You agreed. Jin had slotted into your lives like he was always meant to be there. "What about Jimin? Wasn't he with you?"
"He came with me to my office, before I came upstairs he said he was tired and he left to go to your room."
 The sun was setting outside, the sky turning navy as the colors of the day receded. You felt like only a few minutes ago you had been about to walk out the door to meet up with Zayn.
 Namjoon's hand was rubbing your arm up and down, the touch calming something deep inside you. You had so many questions, so many doubts about what you were doing. There were so many ways this could go wrong. Jimin was in a fragile state. If what Jungkook had told Namjoon was true to some extent, Jimin would be in a really bad place. On top of that, a person from his past showing up could ruin all his progress. Most of all, you were afraid your Jimin would get hurt.
 "You're thinking too loud again."
 You groaned, burying your head in his shoulder. "I'm not." You turned to the TV trying to erase the look on your face. The deepest parts of the sea were home to so many creatures. Small and large, all of them had adapted to live in darkness. Adapting. Such an interesting skill.
 You squirmed in Namjoon's arms, he loosened his hold on you so you could sit up straighter. You hadn't talked about the night when you had been beating yourself up for saying the wrong thing, Jin's retreating form, head lowered, haunting you. Namjoon had a way to make your brain go quiet, something you hadn't learnt how to do regardless of how much you tried. You had been floating and for once you had fallen asleep without tossing and turning.
 But you hadn't talked and you couldn't decide if it was better that way or if it would only serve to torment you further. The doubts came, like they always did, and you weren't ready to deflect them.
 Namjoon's clever eyes were on you as you traced invisible swirls from his shoulder, his neck and up his face. Your knuckles ran over his cheek in a feather-light touch. His hand covered yours, bringing it to his mouth and placing a kiss in the center of your palm. Your heart was beating rapidly in your chest.
 "Can I?" he asked, leaning closer. You could do nothing but nod. His lips touched yours gently at first, before both of you got lost in the feeling. This kind of kissing was reserved for books and movies, it wasn't something that was supposed to happen in real life and yet... How could you settle for anything less after this?
 This, this was something you could write about. Something to fill up all those blank pages taunting you. Paragraphs upon paragraphs attempting to describe that feeling spreading through your whole body. You could spend your whole life trying to put this moment into words and it would be worth it.
 You pulled back. A flush had crept up on Namjoon's cheeks and his hair was mussed. You probably didn't look any better. Hopefully, your makeup could cover any redness on your skin.
 Your hand was still in his, held against his cheek.
 "What are we doing?" you asked him, breathy from the kiss that had overtaken your whole being. "What does this mean?"
 "What do you want this to be?"
 Your lips twitched up. "I don't know, that's why I'm asking you."
 Namjoon combed a hand through your hair, twisting a strand loosely around his fingers before letting go. "It can mean whatever we want it to mean. Whatever we need it to be."
 On a moment, his back straightened and he looked at the stairs. You followed his gaze but saw nothing. A few seconds later, your human ears were able to pick up steps climbing up the staircase. You got up from the couch and straightened the wrinkles on your clothes. An itch to change into clean clothes nagged at you, preferably after taking a nice long shower, but there were still things needed to be done.
 Black hair was the first thing you saw before the rest of Jin came into view, but you had already guessed who it was by the careful steps he was taking. Living with them, you could distinguish between the ways they climbed up the stairs. Jungkook ran up, eager to reach his destination. Jimin occasionally skipped some steps, light on his feet like he was floating his way up. Namjoon's step were light as well and he was the most likely to miss, stalking up the stairs silently as if on a hunt. Jin was careful and measured in everything he did and this was no different.
 The sugar glider hybrid glanced around, his eyes landing on the two of you in the living room. He shifted his weight on his feet.
 "Hey," you said softly, coming closer. "Is Jungkook still in the atelier ?"
 Jungkook was nowhere to be seen, even though he tended to stick to the other hybrids like glue. Whatever had happened earlier was enough to make him change his habits.
 "He's in the middle of a painting," Jin said, biting his bottom lip. It was obvious he was worried as well, but trying to make excuses for the youngest. "I'm going to cook dinner."
 The sun had set by now but you couldn't comprehend how late it had gotten. Time to make dinner. On an average work day you would be wrapping up now and checking off the tasks you had completed, making sure everything was going according to plan before leaving.
 "I'll help you then," you said, nudging his hands with yours. The two of you go to the kitchen and Jin starts pulling out bowls from the cupboards. "What are we making?"
 Jin paused. "Now that you're here, we can make whatever you want. But I can cook. You should rest, you must be tired."
 "No more tired than usual." It was true in a weird way. Your body was actually feeling less like it would need to sleep for a week to restore all its functions and more like something heavy you didn't recognize had wrapped itself around your shoulders. "You? How are you feeling?"
 Jin fiddled with one of the bowls. "I'm alright."
 On a couple shelves, away from where most of the action took place, your cookbooks were lined in neat rows. You picked up one of your favorites, the well-known chef smiling at you from the cover.
 "It's okay if you aren't," you said. "It was very unexpected. It'd be understandable if you felt uncomfortable or upset. I didn't get a chance to warn you before bringing practically two strangers into your home."
 The bowl was apparently very fascinating for Jin because he was looking nowhere else as he forced a smile. "I couldn't be upset. I was a stranger coming here, too."
 You left the cookbook on the counter. "The circumstances were different. I had called the others before adopting you and we had all agreed that I would bring you home with me. I adopted you, you came to stay. They will be leaving soon."
 "It's just... I'm not used to strangers," he admitted.
 You moved around the kitchen island, standing next to him. You gave him space in case he wanted to move away but he only leaned closer to you. "This is your home and all I want for you is to feel safe here. I'm sorry I didn't call you to ask before bringing them here. I don't want you to act like you don't mind if you actually do. You have a right to be upset."
 You brought your foreheads together, rubbing gently. A rare purr escaped Jin and although his cheeks reddened he didn't pull away at the sound like he used to do.
 The kitchen filled with noise as you started preparing the dishes. You had decided on chicken with honey and garlic as the main dish and you would make a few side-dishes because you didn't know what the new hybrids liked to eat. Halfway through, when you had added the honey, the diced garlic and the soy sauce in the pan, the itch under your skin got too long and you left to go shower.
 Washing away the day felt almost cathartic. The worst parts of it falling down the drain. It was your favorite part of coming home, second only to seeing your hybrids and spending time with them. Freshly washed and dressed into sweatpants and a comfortable top, you got out of your room. Dinner wasn't ready yet but Jin didn't need any more help. Any other day you would get your laptop and open one of the files in your to-do-list but this time you climbed down the stairs to the second level.
 Knocking on the door, you took a step back and waited.
 "Who is it?" a gruff voice you recognized as Yoongi's called from inside.
 "It's Y/N." You didn't elaborate further, curious to see what he would do. Contrary to what you had expected, you heard the key being turned. The door opened, Yoongi peeking at you through the crack.
 "What do you want?"
 "Dinner is almost ready," you said. "I came to check in on you. Has Hoseok woken up? I wanted to see how well the medication worked."
 You could sense Yoongi contemplating shutting the door in your face before  a small voice from inside said, "I'm awake."
 Yoongi muttered under his breath but opened the door further letting you in. The room was mostly untouched, only the bed Hoseok had been sleeping in gave an indication that someone had been inside. Yoongi had taken a shower but changed back into his own clothes, which he had pulled out from the small duffel bag. The green duffel bag, as worn as their clothes, was the only thing they had carried with them. It was small and certainly not enough for two people to live out of.
 Hoseok was laying on the bed, making himself as small as he could without aggravating his injuries. In the hand that wasn't in the cast, he was clinging to the blanket he had with him in the abandoned building. It desperately needed to be washed but you weren't sure it could be salvaged. The light in the room was in the lower setting not to aggravate his eyes. His fluffy tail was curled around his waist, dirt staining it and parts sticking together with grime.
 He stuttered answering your questions but overall he looked better. The granite floor with only a thin blanket to lay on wasn't a place someone could actually rest on. You offered to bring him some clothes to change into. Unlike Yoongi, he accepted.
 Jacob's clothes had really come in handy. You would have never guessed that you would find a use for them when he left them behind. You had even considered throwing them out at one of your lowest points. Jacob's promise to remain friends and the excuse he would be coming over had been proven a lie or just wistful thinking. They weren't taking too much space, considering how large your closet was, but you had no use for them but sentimental memories you no longer needed. Until February, that is.
 Some of Namjoon's clothes would fit Hoseok better, but you dismissed the idea without considering it. The hybrid's scent would be too prominent on the clothes. Jimin liked wearing the others' clothes because he claimed he loved being enveloped in their scents. It was also the reason he had stolen one of your hoodies that fit him and refused to give it back.
 Jacob's scent had faded from his clothes after so many months, Namjoon had confirmed it. He had left in early December, five months had come and passed since then. You could remember the months leading up to the break up. It wasn't the fights, there weren't many of them, but the silence and the distance that had broken you. You had been at work all day and he had been at the studio. When he went out you either couldn't go because you were busy or you were too tired to. He didn't get your hobbies. He wasn't a fan of reading and he didn't let you listen to his tracks before they were ready. You weren't good at giving feedback, he had told you laughing after you had said the track felt like something was missing in the chorus. You had been getting further and further apart for more than a year. The house was but a way to fool yourself that everything was alright.
 Yoongi had helped Hoseok shower, following your advice to not ruin the cast on his arm and wet the bandages you had wrapped around some of the deeper wounds.
 Dinner was different. You had carried two trays down with Jin's help for the two hybrids. It was better for Hoseok not to move and even if he could, Yoongi wouldn't be thrilled at the idea. Jungkook didn't come up for dinner. He wouldn't leave the atelier and Jin carried another tray to him, because there was no way he would let him go without eating. Jimin asked after him. He didn't speak for the rest of dinner picking up the food on his plate with a guilty expression on his face.
 John did come the next morning. He didn't press and didn't threaten anyone, not that you had expected him to but it was a relief nonetheless. John was an intimidating man with his height and bulkiness. Yoongi hissed, backing into a corner when he saw him. John looked him up and down, taking in his split lip, the bruises and his worn clothes, and then showed you a picture of his daughter on his phone. Yoongi regarded him for a little longer before disappearing again.
 Jungkook and Jimin were avoiding each other. Jungkook did everything in his power not to find himself in the same room as Jimin, getting up and leaving whenever Jimin entered. The hurt on Jimin's face was heartbreaking every time it happened. You tried to comfort him but you couldn't do much when you were gone most of the day and you had to check Hoseok's injuries every morning and night.
 You were in your office scanning a few documents when the email was delivered. Your hand froze, unable to comprehend the contents at first.
 There was a knock on the half-opened door. Namjoon walked inside. "Are you coming for dinner?"
 You looked up from your phone. "I have to go to Virginia the day after tomorrow."

When We Collide - Tom Holland
Tumblr media
Summary: A close encounter with death, brings on a new relationship (This summary sucks, but I don’t want to give anything away)
Author’s Note: Not sure if this classifies as angst, but the ending is kind of sad... but lots of fluff all throughout!
Word Count: 3.6K
“That’s a wrap for today everyone, have a good day and I’ll see you all on Friday,” the male producer said, there was some light mumbling throughout the cast and everyone disbursed soon after.
“Hey, Tom!” yelled a male voice, stopping the brunette in his tracks, “Would you like to hang out with us? We’re going to grab some drinks at a pub?” Tom looked over at the owner of the voice, one of his co-stars.
“I would, but I already have plans for today. Definitely next time,” the male replied with a smile. Truth be told, Tom didn’t really have any important plans. They were shooting a movie in London and all Tom wanted to do was walk around and enjoy the feeling of being home for a while.
The male walked into his trailer and changed out of the outfit he wore on set and into something more comfortable, jeans and a plain white t-shirt. He checked himself out in the mirror and, before leaving the set, put on a black cap and dark shades, to mask his identity. It was nice to get away from fame and responsibilities for a while and just lead a somewhat normal life.
The streets of London were always busy with people walking about, minding their business, and tourists snapping pictures of every nook and cranny. The weather was gloomy today and there was really no reason to wear shades outside. He probably looked crazy, but Tom went unrecognized as he made his way towards his favourite cafe- ready to enjoy some afternoon tea and maybe even read a book. The cafe was located in a part of London that was rarely crowded. The brunette turned a corner, and there it was; the cafe was standing just across the street. He stopped at the pedestrian crossing, waiting for the signal to turn green.
On the other side of the street stood a young female. She had a pair of over-ear headphones on and wasn’t really paying attention to her surroundings. The male looked her over, admiring how cute she was. She had a black and white striped top on, paired with black cargo jeans, and a black Nike duffle bag across her chest. She looked as if she was coming back from the fitness center. The light turned green for them to cross and the female looked both ways to make sure there were no other cars. She quickly looked back at her phone, missing the vehicle that was speeding down the road.
Everything moved so fast. She was about to get hit and without thinking, the male took off running towards her, ready to push her out of the way. Everything started moving in slow motion and for a split second, he saw her eyes widen with fear as she looked up from her phone and noticed the situation unfolding. Tom quickly grabbed the girl's waist, lunging the two onto the ground, right in front of the coffee shop.
‘This definitely hurts less at the studio…’ he thought and fluttered open his eyes, meeting fearful e/c ones.
“Are you okay?” the female asked as she lay on top of Tom.
“I’m fine. No big deal,” he grunted out. It was actually a big deal… His head and back hurt from the fall and his hands were scraped from sliding on the concrete. “Are you okay?” he in turn asked her as he scanned her face for any injuries.
“I’m fine… I- ermm…” she stuttered and quickly got off the males body, sitting down on the ground next to him, “Thank you- I don’t- Everything just happened so fast…” she said with a shaky voice as if the events finally hit her. The car was long gone and there were no other people walking by as the incident occured.
“What a bloody arsehole, he shouldn’t have been going so fast,” Tom said and frowned. The female's things were all over the ground and right in the middle of them were his sunglasses. His eyes met with the girls, yet she seemed to not recognize that he was famous, “Are you hurt? Should we go to the hospital?” he questioned, concerned about her well-being.
“I’m alright. Thank you… I’m not sure how I could ever repay you for saving my life… you even got hurt,” she said as she studied his scraped hands.
“There’s no need. What’s your name?”
“Y/n.” she answered and the couple stood up from the ground.
“I’m Tom. Pleasure.” he replied, looking into her eyes for any sign of recognition, but nothing.
“Can I at least buy you a cuppa or coffee?” she asked and motioned towards the shop. Tom warmly smiled at her.
“Sure.” The two grabbed their things and collected themselves before going into the shop.
“Welcome! What can I get started for you two?” asked the barista. Tom and the female awkwardly approached the counter.
“I’ll have a flat white, please,” the female by his side said.
“Two of those,” Tom added. Y/n started digging in her bag, most likely looking for her wallet.
“10 pounds.” the barista said and Tom swiftly handed the barista the orange/brown coloured bill.
“Wait… what are you-” Y/n said in confusion.
“Let’s go sit down,” Tom interrupted and led the two towards an empty table.
“You’re way too kind…” Y/n said when the pair sat down. Tom chuckled.
“Making you pay wouldn’t be very gentlemanly of me.” the female smiled at him and the barista came over to the table, setting down two small cups.
“Thank you.” they both said and Y/n picked up the cup and took a small sip, making Tom stare. Being a celebrity, he never had meaningful conversations with strangers. Everyone either wanted a photo or autograph, so it was hard for the male to make connections with regular people.
“What's up with the shades?” she asked, hoping to see more of the strangers' faces.
“Oh....” Tom mumbled and took off his glasses and cap. There was no one in the shop besides the pair, it was fangirl free, “It’s a habit.”
“Makes you look kind of dodgy...”
“Does it…?” he mumbled more to himself than the girl. She looked more calm than before as if the incident was long forgotten. He picked up his mug and took a sip of the hot liquid. Y/n took a second to examine the male. He had brown hair and a pair of matching brown eyes. His baby face made him look like a puppy. He was cute. Her eyes traveled to his arms, they were slightly veiny, he was most likely fit and worked out a lot. Her eyes looked at his hands that were red and had scratches from the fall.
“Tell me about yourself,” Tom said, wanting to keep the mood light.
“Me? I’m honestly not that interesting…” she said and looked down at her lap, “I’m a ballet dancer, I don’t really have time for much else…” she continued, picking up Tom’s interest.
“You dance? I took ballet classes when I was a child. I was even in the Billy Elliot musical-” Tom said and suddenly felt nervous. (Y/n) didn’t seem to know who he was. It was nice to be normal and treated like a regular human, not a famous actor, “when I was in secondary school,” he added.
(Y/n) looked up with interest, “I didn’t realize you were done with school… you look so young,”
“I’m actually 24,” Tom said. The female looked at him with wide eyes.
“You look so young…” she repeated and Tom took another sip of his coffee, “Did the ballet thing work out for you or are you pursuing different things?” This was Tom’s chance to tell the female that he was a famous actor.
“No, I decided to do other things,” he started. He decided that he liked the feeling of being unknown, “I work on movie sets… bunch of random things, honestly.”
“That’s cool. Do you get to meet a lot of celebrities?”
“Yeah… you could say that.”
The two sat in the coffee shop until the sky turned dark, talking about anything and everything. The longer the two talked, the more Tom started to fancy the female. Despite what she thought, she was interesting and very kind. He never met someone like her, and he definitely wanted to keep getting to know her.
“It’s almost 9…” she said with a tired sigh, “I should get going. I have rehearsals in the morning.”
“I should get going too…” Tom said, slightly disappointed…
“Despite the circumstances, it was so nice to meet you, Tom. Thank you for saving me.” she said and started getting up. He didn’t want their conversation to end, if she let him, Tom wanted to keep in touch with the female.
“Wait!” he called out and she looked at him, sitting back down, “Do you mind if I get your number? I would love to take you out on a date, or just hang out,” there was a hopeful gleam in his eyes.
“Ummm… yeah- of course…” (Y/n) felt her cheeks get warm. It’s been a while since someone asked her for her number or even asked her out on a date. Tom gave her his phone and she typed her number in.
“Have a goodnight, (Y/n).”
“Have a goodnight, Tom.”
Tom could not concentrate on set. All he could think about was the girl with the e/c coloured eyes. After the encounter, Tom texted the female that night to make sure she made it home safe. Ever since, they’ve been sending messages back and forth constantly. He wanted to take the girl out on a proper date, but that was slightly difficult. Public spaces meant lots of potential fangirls and the male was not ready to reveal his status yet.
“Holland!” yelled a strict male voice making Tom come out his daydream.
“Sir?”
“What’s the matter with you?” the director asked, annoyed that they had to reshoot the same scene for the fifth time.
“Sorry… I’ve got a lot on my mind.” he replied, making the director sigh in defeat.
“Alright. Why don’t you take the week off, yeah?”
“Oh, okay.” he replied, his thoughts going back to Y/n.
“And make sure you come back to Earth by then!” the male yelled and stormed off, annoyed about having to make a new shooting schedule for the week. Tom reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone:
Tom: Would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow?
Tom: Totally fine if you don’t
Tom: Don’t want to pressure you
To say that the male felt stupid was an understatment. Why was he so nervous? He barely knew this girl for a week and she made him feel like a teenager who was helplessly chasing their crush around. He looked at the screen, three little dots appeared and a message suddenly popped up:
Y/n: I would like that
Tom: Great! I’ll pick you up at 6! Text me your postal address.
Tom sat on the sofa in Y/n’s flat as they watched Citizen Kane on her small telly. The female was laid down, her legs laying on top of his as she balanced a big bowl of popcorn on her belly, occasionally munching on the snack. Tom looked away from the noir film, his attention purely on his girlfriend. The pair have been dating for nearly half a year and Y/n was still unaware that her boyfriend was an A list celebrity. Of course, Tom wanted to tell her, but they’ve already gotten so far into their relationship that he was scared of how she might react to the news.
“You know… I’ve never been to your flat,” the female said and stuffed some popcorn into her mouth, never taking her eyes off the telly.
“Is that something you would like to do?” Tom questioned.
“I mean… We always spend time here. Why haven’t you invited me over? Are you hiding a secret family from me?” her eyes met his and he saw the playful gleam behind her orbs.
“You caught me. My wife and kids wouldn’t be too happy to find out that I enjoy spending my time more with my mistress than them,” Y/n picked up a piece of popcorn and threw it at him, landing it right in the middle of his forehead.
“That’s what you get, Mr. Holland… or is that even your real name?” she said glaring at him, but a smile was plastered on her lips. Tom grabbed the bowl of popcorn from her belly and placed it down on the floor. He quickly got on top of her, using his forearms as support to hover over her.
“Would you like to come over tomorrow then? I could cook us dinner?” he questioned as he looked all over her face, admiring every little detail.
“That sounds lovely. Your wife and kids won’t mind?” she giggled.
“No. I’ll make sure they’re out by the time you get there,” he said and dipped down to capture her lips.
Tom was nervous about his girlfriend coming over, and not because he had a secret family. Tom did not mind that his girlfriend lived in a flat that only had one small bedroom and a common area, nor was he worried about her being materialistic and only keeping him around for the money. She didn’t have much, but she liked to spoil him with small gifts here and there with whatever money she had left from her paycheck. It was bad enough that he drove around in a Porsche, but he lived in a luxurious two story flat on the outskirts of London. If she were to ask questions, how was he supposed to explain where his wealth came from? What if there were paparazzis situated outside his home? He wanted to tell her about being Spider-man on his own time and this could potentially out him.
“I thought you lived closer to the city…” Y/n said looking out the window, watching as they got further from the center of London.
“I prefer staying out of London… It’s always so crowded and the traffic is horrible.” he replied as he pulled into the carpark. Y/n smiled in anticipation. The building of the flats looked really modern, as if they were built recently. She knew that this place must have been expensive to live in. The couple walked inside the building, his hand on the small of her back as he led her towards the lift.
“Mr. Holland.” the doorman greeted, with a kind smile.
“John. Good evening.”
Once inside the lift, Tom swiped his key card and pressed the button for the highest floor. Y/n looked around, slightly feeling out of place. She knew that Tom worked in the film industry, but she didn’t expect him to be loaded. The door to the lift opened and the girl's eyes went wide with shock as she was met with a spacious flat and huge windows that were facing towards the center of London.
“Woah… You said you did what?” the female questioned as she looked out the window.
“I work on movie sets… which reminds me,” he said and came up behind the female, wrapping his arms around her middle, “There is a private screening tonight of the movie I was working on when we first met. It would mean a lot to me, if you came along to watch it.” he said, kissing his girlfriend's cheek.
“Am I allowed to?”
“Of course. You’re my plus one, love…”
The couple finished their dinner before going to see the private screening. Most movies would be shown to the cast and crew before they officially premiered in Hollywood. This showing was meant for the UK team only. This was the moment that Tom would confess who he actually was. His heart was pounding against his chest as he and Y/n sat down in the chairs in the screen room. There were only five others there.
“What’s this movie about?” questioned the female.
“Superheroes.” Tom responded with a bit of a smirk on his face. This was going to be the first time he’s seen the final product, so he wasn’t completely sure when Peter Parker was going to make an appearance. The Marvel logo played and transitioned into a poor quality memorial video of all the Avengers that died during the Thanos battle. The scene continued with two teens as they were giving a morning announcement to their school. Tom looked over at his girlfriend who looked confused, she must not have watched any of the marvel movies. The scene ended and there he was… It was always weird seeing your own face on a big screen.
“I have a plan!” his character started, talking about how he was going to woo MJ in Paris. Tom looked over to his right. Y/n had her mouth wide open as she watched her boyfriend speak in an American accent. She looked at the screen and slowly turned her head to look at her boyfriend as if trying to confirm that it was the same person. Five minutes into the movie and there he was in his Spider-man suit talking at a fundraiser. Y/n grabbed her bag and abruptly stood up, walking out of the screening room, having seen enough.
“Shit…” Tom mumbled and raced after her, “Love, wait!” he yelled, but the female kept walking until she got outside. Not knowing where to go, she stopped in her tracks, “Y/n…”
“You’re Spiderman…” she muttered lowly and Tom almost didn’t catch it.
“I-” he started saying, but she quickly cut him off.
“This is mental. You’re Spiderman and you forgot to mention that your job entails you to actually be the main character in the film?” she said and turned around to look at him. She looked sad, almost disappointed. Tom was at a loss for words.
“You’ve nothing to say?” she tutted and started walking in a random direction, away from the male.
“Babe! Wait!” he yelled and ran up to stand in front of her to block her way, “I was scared okay… Everyone who I ever meet on the street wants a photo or autograph. When I met you, you made me feel normal for once, not like I’m some object that belongs in a museum. I know that keeping this from you was bad and I am truly sorry,” her eyes sparkled in understanding as she listened to the male speak, “I don’t want to lose you.” he ended, his eyes slightly glossy. Y/n sighed and leaned over to give him a kiss. He grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to him, fearing that this would be the last time he would be able to feel her lips.
“I understand if you want to break up-”
“Shut up and kiss me, you bloody git.” the female giggled, making Tom smile and lean in for another kiss.
“Don’t lie to me ever again.”
“Never.”
It’s been about five years since the couple started dating. Tom was ready to ask Y/n to marry him. He was going to propose on their anniversary, but he wasn’t sure how or where; all he knew was that he was ready to call her his forever. The male walked into their shared bedroom where the future Mrs. Holland was already in, laying under the covers, dozing off. He slipped in and pulled her close to his chest.
“I love you, Y/n.” he whispered as he kissed her neck, earning a tired reply…
“I love you, too…”
~~~~~
   "He's waking up!"
   "Tom!"
   "Can you hear us?"
   "TOM!" slowly his eyes opened and he met a white ceiling.
   "Where am I?" he groaned and looked over to the side, his mom was there looking at the male in worry.
   "You're in the hospital, Tom. You've been in a coma for six months..." his mother said in a calm voice as tears spilled from her eyes.
   "Mum? Where's Y/n? I need to see her, is she okay?" Tom questioned as he tried to get out of bed. His head was pounding as he tried to recall the accident.
“Woah… you need to stay in bed, Thomas. Who’s Y/n?” his mother asked, concerned.
“My girlfriend… I was going to propose to her.” Tom let out.
“I’m going to go get a doctor. Please don’t move.” his mother said and left the room.
“What happened?” Tom groaned and he held his head.
“Your director called us after you didn’t show up for the shooting…” spoke up his brother, Harry, who was sitting on a chair, on the opposite side where his mother just stood, “You and some girl got hit by a car just outside a shop in London.”
“Coffee shop?” Tom questioned, his headache starting to ease.
“Yeah…” Harry said.
“Where’s the girl?” Tom questioned, curious what was happening.
“Just in the other room. They haven't been able to identify her.” Harry finished, concerned about his brother.
“Can you take me to her?”
“You just woke up… No way…” Harry said as he frowned at the older male.
“I need to see her…” Tom pleaded, making his brother sigh. Harry got up from the chair and rolled over a wheelchair that was located on the other side of the room. He helped his brother on it and wheeled him towards the room next door. The pair of brothers stopped just outside a window that looked into a patient's room. The shape of her face, the colour of her hair- everything about her was so familiar. She had lost a little colour on her skin, probably due to being in a coma and light bruises littered her body. He couldn’t see the colour of the girl’s eyes, but he was sure that he recognized her.
   She was the same girl who Tom was going to propose to. That girl was Y/n...
Thanks for reading, lovely~
It’s Show Time
I made this request several months ago and I had many comments wanting a second part with the song More (K/ DA) and since the problem with the publications is now fixed, I think it’s a good time to write it once and for all before returning to the orders.
In this second part, reader is fused with Evelynn and Seraphine, you’ll understand what I mean.
I hope you enjoy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VTkBuxU4yk
Tumblr media
Days, weeks without the leaders knowing anything about your new singing career. Since you got off the stage that beautiful day, dozens of record producers, even audiovisual managers were at your feet asking, imploring you, to give them a chance in their agencies. After long days and millions of messages per hour, which they played as background music in Mr. Trein's classes, you decided to give this new career a chance in a completely different world from the one you were used to.
Weeks since you last told them about a new song that was being produced with three more members, it seems you were going to be part of a group band, but you didn’t delve much on the subject for confidentiality reasons. The only thing you could tell them is that, in a couple of weeks, and the famous day finally coming, a music video with the respective band was going to be released.
Leona and Riddle weren't very excited. Let's see, don't get me wrong, Leona was very proud with all the little act you put on on stage, you even made Vil himself shut his mouth, 1000 for the effort, not just anyone does it. But he wasn’t very "into" in your music career. Yes, he was happy that you found something to distract you from all these catastrophic events at school, but other than that ... nothing more. Instead, Riddle… he doesn't know much about this whole world, he had an idea, and he was happy that you could meet other people outside of school. Perhaps he would be more excited by the time he waych the music video.
And like I said before… the famous music video release day had arrived.
The leaders were having a routine meeting, almost nothing interesting and very little to report, maybe a few complaints from the cafeteria or flight classes, but as I just said, nothing important. The mirror chamber was on the verge of being clear, faces of exhaustion and disinterest poured out of the doorway when a whirlwind of five multi-colored heads arrived to collapse the seven dormitory leaders.
"Care to explain what this outrageous come for?" Riddle was about to turn his trademark color as he saw his two residents sprawled on the floor after colliding with Kalim and Idia's tablet.
"Wooow, that happened so fast, my head hurts" Azul held out his hand to the white haired boy and helped him stand up, while the tablet flew off and floated in the middle of the room as usual.
Leona and Vil looked at the scene with contemptuous looks, just as their irritation was clearly evident at being pushed by their residents. As for Malleus, who hallelujah had been notified at once about the leaders' meeting, he simply deigned to observe the scene in a mocking way, but never disrespecting his classmates; a little giggle and he was composed again.
"It's out!!" Ace and Deuce jumped off the floor and faced the crosshairs of their dorm leaders. Ace continued to take out his cell phone and enter the conversation he had with you, clicking on the link you sent him a few minutes ago.
"What went out?" Azul, intrigued by his comment, approached the redhead, except that he ended up being dragged out of the room. Each freshman grabbed the arm of their respective leader and led thm into a classroom with audiovisual projectors ... except for Sebek, he simply asked his young master to follow him. In all this tumult, Ace connected his cell phone to a projector, revealing a black screen on a white canvas in the middle of the classroom. The seven leaders were completely lost, some even wondered why they had followed them, ahem… Leona more than anyone.
Now, with the cell phone connected, the speakers at full volume and each participant sitting in a chair, trying to be as comfortable as possible in their pompous suits, and with the lights off, Ace gave play and music began to reverberate throughout room. Multiple vibrant colors invaded the vision of everyone present, shapes, figures and objects began to come out of nowhere and a voice dislodged them all.
Akali that girl, 'kali go grr 'Kali don't stop,' kali don't skrrt 'Kali got a job,' Kali go to work 뜨거워 언제나, don't get burnt
The first to appear on the screen, the origin of that unknown voice was a girl with an incredible blonde hair, long and in a ponytail, which if were loose, it would’ve reach the floor. The faces of most of the boys showed confusion, it was obvious that they didn’t know her, much less had you talked about her in one of those short conversations about the video clip. The only ones who knew who this girl with violet eyes was, which matched her purplish top with sparkling blues and a shorts that barely covered her butt, were Vil, Idia and surprisingly Ace.
Without giving many explanations, avoiding distracting others from the girl's movements, Vil commented aloud, seeing Kalim's face when he didn’t understand why he wasn’t seeing one of his great friends first and foremost in the video clip, that the girl was from a female-only academy, much like NRC.
All I'll ever know is life up on a throne 시작 하면 끝 을 보는 거야 You want More
Everyone turned to see the others, even Leona raised his ears when he heard your voice appear for a fraction of seconds, to end up combining with the voice from another girl. This second girl was one of tall build, pale skin with red eyes and bicolor white and blue hair; Unlike the first, she was already known within the music industry but she had never recorded a video clip with another person.
In the middle of the shots of her, Deuce saw your profile hiding behind a mural, even some shots of your hands playing or ... moving your fingers in the air. With the chorus appearing on the screen, tension began to build in the environment. Why weren't you showing up? The directors gave you the ugly eye and left you behind? Why weren't you dancing with the other members?
During the chorus, no matter how high it was, the guys could hear your voice. It was there, it was in complete harmony with the other voices, but at the same time, you weren’t there. For some it was going to sound a bit embarrassing to admit, that they could discriminate your voice from any other, even in the midst of a crowd of people. Azul and Idia had found a video of your little recital and had downloaded it for…the great seven know for what; perhaps to have it in loop for hours. Even Malleus was getting impatient not seeing you on screen, not seeing you enjoying yourself like the other members were showing it.
When I go, it's for gold Yeah, they cool, but I'm cold I don't fit in the mold I'm a rebel
The video now showed Neige walking down a large red carpet, having people asking for photos and autographs, aside from reporters and paparazzi taking photos. And besides, couldn’t miss the bodyguards, scaring off every crazy fan who threw themselves on him. Throughout that walk, Neige was dedicated to signing autographs left and right, never stopping to look at people. Perhaps the aesthetic they wanted to give him was from a famous and megastar, but seeing this brunette so ... carefree made Vil tense.
As much as the events of the NRC’show have remained in the past, one doesn’t simply forget their rivalry, and much less now that he had to see how his greatest rival, both in modeling and now in music, was part of his first video clip with the person who refused to participate in his musical group. Yes, Vil was dealing with serious problems of guilt and regret.
What's higher than the top? That's me Come take a look before falling at my feet
Again, the only thing the camera showed was your profile, hiding and appearing behind murals. For the last time you came out behind a marble figure, the camera made a 180 ° turn, starting from your back, but it didn’t end on your chest, it was in a downward movement, until it ended at your feet, just at that your sentence ended and your body was left squatting on the reflective floor.
At this point you could see the despair of Kalim and Riddle in their eyes. They were both sitting in their chairs and leaning forward, hoping that they could see your appearance more clearly, but each time your profile appeared, the camera would turn to another objective. Both boys had their hands fisted over the edges of their seats, while their body jerked back involuntarily when their expectations were not met.
All I'll ever know is life up on a throne
Again, the camera avoided having a complete shot of your body. This time, what looked like an aerial view of the studio, or whatever that black room was with blue, light blue and purple lights, began to spin on itself, without turning on your body, at the same time each time it approached your back. At the moment of collapse, you made an almost imperceptible movement, turning around and hitting the camera with your open hand and sending it flying into another space, again changing the perspective and the person as the center of attention.
Jack was wagging his tail at all times, he was undoubtedly enjoying the video clip, both the aesthetics and the melody. Obviously, he wanted to see you even more on screen, but inside he knew that at some point you were going to appear, even to blow up the whole video.
Again the chorus appeared, like the first time, you didn’t appear, no matter how many changes of perspective there were. It is as if the most famous people, or at least with the greatest recognition, were predisposed to have more camera time. Even Malleus was beginning to grow impatient. He had seen you happy weeks ago and he could see the excitement in your eyes when you told him about the video clip when the idea was still starting. He wanted to see you more, just like everyone.
The screen went black, and in a moment of great tension, doubt and nerves, the boys thought the clip was over. Ace and Deuce were about to bolt, ready to beat up and kill the record company that had "hired" and duped you, but a little glint and a hand hovering over a window stopped them in their tracks.
Way out 感觉 犹如 海浪, on the wave now 不断 往前 遨游, never weighed down This is how I do it every day, wow, wow
And finally… finally, you appeared in your great splendor. Your hand lightly decorated with a blue ring chained to your wrist was the starting point for a great sequence shot towards your body, revealing your arm covered with a semi-transparent black mesh jacket with purple and light blue highlights, and ending in a black top, purplish with pink and sky blue iridescent patterns. And your face… woow, your face made up like a rising star, cold-toned glitters and shadows, silver pearls around your eyes, and shiny pink lips.
Everyone, absolutely everyone was stumped. Your way of singing, the movements that enchanted the camera, the warm tones that came from your lips; your simple presence blended with the aesthetics of the video. Even singing in Chinese was a nice touch to throw off anyone hearing and / or watching this show.
Kalim, finally seeing you, let out a cry of joy and clapped as he had never done it before at one of his parties. Riddle was proud and couldn't help but smile to see you shine. Leona smirked when no one was looking at him, watching as your head fell into contact with a bed and your whole body merged with the objects and the predominant aesthetic.
More Know I got it, so here you go You look like you could use some more Know I got it and never runnin' low
Your walk towards a large illuminated door, ending up turning around and appearing in the middle of a room with the other members to give the last chorus, left everyone excited. They had already seen your movements and the way your body moved to the rhythm of the music, as if you didn’t have a skeleton, but watching you dance on the big screen, with a musical group, having better and closer shots was another different experience completely.
Let's say also, there was a bit of jealousy on the part of the boys when they saw some shots showing you with the other members, interacting and being very touchy. Your smile, as beautiful as it was, that someone else, outside of NRC, was responsible, made the boys' blood run hot.
Never givin 'less and that's how it'll stay You know I got it like all day, all the time
The room was silent for a few seconds, ending in cheers and applause from the first years. Ace disconnected his cell phone and was ready to make a video call when a message notification echoed off the walls. The guys gathered around the device and read the message, your message.
"Get ready, I'll get more;)"
How did you come about twinflames or how did you find out about this terminology of soul connection? Why do some people feel this "soul connection" to some kpop idol or their litteral crush, then some have apply this twinflame idea onto a person they don't know. I know it has nothing to do with a soul family, because no one belongs to certain spiritual group. Everyone is unique to their own journey as some call it. I would like your personal views, not a article taken from the internet. Thanks
Hello and I'm sorry for the late reply , I was kind of busy .
So let's see ...as many people out there I always new about the general idea of soulmates but no details (not that now I'm an expert but I think that I have little" knowledge"). Anyways I came to know more about soulmates and soul connections generally because of tarot , you know I saw the terminologies and started doing research on them and read a lot about them in order to understand more things about soulmates and soul connections in general.
Now about the reason why so many people feel that they have a soul connection with idols or their crush , well there might actually be many reasons why that happens. Like :
Admiration (for both idols and crushes when you admire something you don't want to just look at it you want to be a part of it)
Beauty and glam (like everyone is getting excited by the features of famous people , their fame , glam and money it's something more or less everyone would like to have )
Talents ( the cause of admiration in my opinion. Artists can communicate through their art with their fans , they can talk to you , heal you without even know you . Many people has a similar talent and they somehow think their selves through them their dreams and life they wish to have and somehow because of these they think that they are possibly connected to this person )
Mentality matters ( we all have gone through periods when actually everything is bad in our lives. Artists or generally people who we admire give us hope and strength to keep going )
So all those feelings make them feel extremely attracted to these people even if they actually don't know them. But those reasons are the earthly ones (if that's the right word to use , but anyway I believe you guys know what I mean).
I don't know how you get to know that our souls doesn't belong in groups , but in my opinion they actually do . Well even angels have specific groups they belong to, so why do you believe our simple little shine souls don't?
Have you ever met someone or even see someone that you didn't know before but somehow they feel extremely familiar , to the point that you want to talk to them , to open your heart to them? It has happened to me personally and I believe in soul groups or families or how ever you would like to call it . It's called soul recognition, your soul's energy might be somehow similar or just familiar to each other . These spiritual groups are very huge and you can find people that belong in them around the world , no matter the colour, the language or reputation and fame . I agree to the point that everyone is unique but does belonging in a group with some similar individuals make you less unique than you already are ? No matter how similar we might seem or be with someone we are always unique because nobody can be us and we can't be them and that applies to the spiritual world as well . Everyone has also their own unique journey as you said and I totally agree with that , but a soul family or group doesn't change the uniqueness of your journey , if something has to happen then it will happen no matter what , no matter how many people you will meet or which road you will choose to walk , if something is meant to happen or find you it will because it's yours. Also there are many people we meet that come to our lives to teach us lessons in order for us to move forward and get ready for the next chapter /level (I like to think about it like a game sometimes hardships make you strong and then you level up).
Anyway to get back to the idol /crush theme , as I said soul families are huge and yes idols and famous people can be included too , because they are also humans and they also have souls and their souls are connected with millions of people around the world, that doesn't mean that they are going to meet all of them, it's not possible, but that doesn't mean that there won't be people who will be able to feel that there is something going on there even if they can't fully explain it . When people come to me and ask me about connections I'm reading the energies but as I have already said they are the possible connection , which means that I can be wrong too , I'm not a god and I can't know for sure (but to be honest I trust my crystals a lot ). Generally about connections there are other signs except the recognition like angel numbers , synchronisities and stuff which I'm discussing with them and try to find something , but I'm not going to analyse it now it's a really huge topic.
About twinflame connections , well in my opinion the whole thing with twin flames started with YouTube readers that made people think wrongly about it as a connection by over romantise it . It's well known that you can have many soulmates of every kind but you can have only one twinflame and that's because you and your twin are the same soul in two different bodies (or at least that's the version I know) so you can't have more . Readers have made people think like they are going to find their twin and there will be a happily ever after full of happiness and stuff . Well of course it's something huge to find your twin but before you find them you seriously have to get through hell and pain to get life lessons, when you find it doesn't mean that you will be together as a couple you can be friends , colleagues , have the same sex as you do or anything actually but not necessarily lovers and even if you actually are lovers it doesn't mean that you won't fight(we are talking about huge fights because you might see in this person characteristics of yours that you would like to ignore) , or that there's no possibility of a break up . Twinflames are destined to find each other not only to teach each other lessons but also the world that can happen in many ways not only through romance.
My views that you asked for are based on articles and books by professionals that have done lot of research on these topics.
I don't know if what I wrote will help you , because to be honest I don't really feel like I have putted my words correctly on my answer since I have so many things to say about it in my head that I'm afraid I made a mess after all 😅 anyways I hope that it's not that messy after all. In conclusion I can say that are many reasons (both earthy and spiritual) why people feel connected to idols or other people generally and the thing about twinflame connections is a mess created by the readers themselves (mostly YouTube readers I think no hate just my opinion).
universal year 5 & personal year for 2021
(in numerology)
"let’s take 5"
find your personal year by calculating your birthday & the year in question (2021) and simplifying to a single digit
ex: birthdate: 02/26/1994. their personal year number is calculated as so -
2 + 26 + 2021 = 2049
2 + 0 + 4 + 9 = 15 // 1 + 5 = 6
it is a personal 6 year for them
*i will be making references to last year’s post
personal year 1: i guess your instincts are coming full force now after 2020′s turning of the tides and you’re up for whatever challenge is thrown your way along this change of pace. this is an “i can be anything, watch me!” type of year where you’re trying your hand at a persona that is not a typical one for you. be careful of totally stepping out of your character and behaving callous though because it’s easy for you to be defensive during this time of perceiving life as a challenge that must be conquered. you can secure positive achievements this year but don’t let yourself ruin it with a ‘winner’ mentality getting the better of you because you could take it too far.
personal year 11/2: for the past year you’ve been having to simplify your load and now you are entering the stage of feeling light enough to say “who the hell cares!” sometimes when we reach a certain level in life we can feel like we’re untouchable because we’ve gone through this and that and came out on the other side but you have to try to make sure that you are balancing being considerate and being your own individual - though you may want to believe you’re invincible, there can be other people who rightfully say/prove otherwise and there can be people who care for you that want to look out for you. this year is reminiscent of the whole plot of ~becoming powerful/famous and forgetting how you got there~
personal year 3: boy i bet you sure did learn about boundaries and your dynamics with others in 2020, hopefully you were able to listen to the feedback with the intention of being receptive to it. there is a clearer understanding of how to share yourself with others so the way you express yourself this year has a way of being distinct because there is now an absoluteness to it; if you weren’t receptive to the feedback in 2020 though then it’s likely that this time will involve you being distinct in a not so positive way. this is an eclectic yet specific time, like you can try your hand at something new or even something you haven’t picked up in a while but you’re able to have better focus to put your energy towards it and have it hit a core point.
personal year 4/22: well, if you’re ever wanting to look back on a year to understand your patterns of behavior better i’m sure 2020 will be a year that comes to mind, and if not then it could be down the road. the involvement of others was persistent and needed to help you answer the questions of what matters to you because this year you’ll be able to pursue what that is - though it may not take flight as much as you would like for it to it’s still a move in the right direction. if you haven’t acknowledged or tried to be more conscientious of your behaviors then this year can have moments of density, appearing as though you aren’t thinking or haven’t thought things through so try to be as mindful as you can. perhaps both can be the case though, maybe you do make a move in the right direction but because it wasn’t thorough it falls flat - don’t feel like you’re totally back at square one in any case! you made progress!
personal year 5: caught up in life now? i think so! geez, where do you go from here with this new understanding of your place in the grand scheme of things? are you going to own it or are you going to let it own you? if you’re able to own it then you’ll be surprised at what you’re able to attract at this time but if you let matters get the best of you then...well, carelessness ensues. it’s important that you consider the sake of security that you were met with in 2020 because considering stability AND practicing a healthy assurance in who you are and who you want to be are how you will be able to own it. if you’re going to take a chance then make sure it is coming from a place of wholeheartedness.
personal year 6: did 2020 feel like it flashed before your eyes? one second life was like this and the next it’s something entirely different (covid aside!). now what you have been working towards begins to find it’s pay off and/or the reward/recognition of your efforts change - they may be magnified in both a positive and negative light, perhaps it could be in part that your efforts are reaching a close on an endeavor/project/job. romance is also a peculiar highlight for you because there’s something veritable about it - maybe this year if you’re in a relationship it begins to feel very real or you have a newfound appreciation for it, if you’re single you may find someone who is more down to earth or someone whose lifestyle is starkly different from yours.
personal year 7: i hope you have had that conversation with expectations that i mentioned in 2020′s post because this year you’re entering a time of maturing and there is no room for dishonesty - “the truth will set you free”. it seems like in some ways this year will be a continuation of last year in the sense that you will still be reaching critical points and milestones BUT this time you are able to feel the weights lifted in doing so. if you haven’t had that conversation with expectations then i imagine this year could have a fall from grace but even in that event it would still be you learning that you are not a machine and that’s okay. in any way, shape or form, this is a humanizing year and you could share truths or have actual conversations that you would have never thought imaginable but they’re such a relief - i keep imaging letting out a big deep breath.
personal year 8: how was the turning point of 2020 for you? has life begin to make more sense? have you caught on to what you missed in the past? i’m genuinely wondering wtf y’all are doing. this year your self expression is renewed and your recreational activities are in for a change - maybe you have less time for them, maybe you have more time for them, maybe you find another thing to do in your free time, maybe whatever hobby you have evolves or becomes something different, etc. there’s been a lack in the past, some thing(s) that you didn’t pay heed to, it’s like you’ve been having a midlife crisis and now that these repressed parts have been acted on or confronted you’re understanding what is and isn’t you anymore. this year it will be easier to express your discontent in a more vulnerable way and now that you know what isn’t jiving with you anymore, you can feel out what does.
personal year 9: when one door closes another does open buuut this should be treated with the utmost care. for the past year you’ve been called out in a new way and have had to come to terms with the behaviors that you’re plagued by so that you can adjust them accordingly. now that you have embraced certain traits more, be careful of confusing awareness with resolve, just because you are more conscientious of something doesn’t mean that the continuous effort that comes with it is magically gone. this year is a shaky ‘fresh start’ because although there is that awareness now and new recourses are being presented, not everything has been dealt with and properly addressed so that it truly is a clean slate.
Bobby’s Playdate Part 3
Part 1, Part 2
Tumblr media
The pandemic is keeping Tom idling in London by himself. One positive is that wearing the mask helps him avoid recognition, allowing him to wander in the park with his dog, Bobby. On one of their walks, Bobby becomes smitten with a dog named Lulu and Tom is equally enchanted by her human. Can the Hiddleston men manage to find a way to see the lovely ladies again?
He was being a right arse, and what was worse he knew it.
Tom grimaced as he stirred his bolognaise sauce. So, she knew who he was, and had all along – what did that really change? Why did it make him so uncomfortable that she hadn’t said anything? After all, he had known as well and he certainly hadn’t brought it up. Was he upset that she had known and hadn’t fawned all over him? Could he really be that shallow? He had liked that she was just herself, allowing him to be himself as well. What was it then that was bothering him?
The timer rang for the pasta and he reached over to grab the oven mitt that usually hung by his stove and grimaced. Of course, he had put it away in the closet because it had a big, red Avengers logo on it. All of that running around he had done, stressing out Bobby and working up a sweat, and it had all been entirely pointless. He felt like the biggest idiot of all time.
Which was the problem, of course. Tom was used to being multiple steps ahead of everyone. He wasn’t conceited about it, well, not exactly, but he was quite often the smartest person in the room. He credited his teachers and a topnotch education, as well as his family of course, more than his own keen powers of observation. He had simply been taught from a young age how to think. It was an invaluable tool as an actor. It also meant that he was often left waiting for others to catch up. He was not, decidedly not, used to being the one feeling foolish for being wrong.
Yup. He was a complete and total arse.
Here he had a beautiful woman in his home, when he had begun to despair of such a thing ever being allowed again, much less happening. She was smart, charming, funny, and kind enough to realize that being a celebrity must be exhausting and discussing it could get tedious. And how had he repaid her for her consideration? By running out of the room and leaving her doubtless wondering at his manners, if not his sanity.
Tom dipped a spoon in and tasted the sauce. This had better be the best meal he had ever made if he wanted to make up for the mess he had made of things so far!
“Everything okay in here?” Leia’s voice asked from the kitchen doorway as Tom was using a tea towel to carry the pasta pot to the strainer in the sink.
“Aside from you spending the evening with a complete prat, everything is fine,” he said with a self-depreciating laugh.
“You know, there are things called oven mitts,” she grinned at him. “Maybe we should go online and order you some.”
“I have them,” he sighed. “I put them away for tonight.”
“So you could experiment with first degree burns? Is that research for a role or something?”
“They were… branded.”
“Like a cow?” she blinked at him.
“No… like Marvel. Avengers branded. So, I hid them.”
“Tom,” Leia was obviously trying to hide a grin that tugged at the edges of her mouth, “did you hide all your movie memorabilia before I came over? Is that why your house looks like the display room from an upscale furniture store rather than a lived-in home?”
“Maybe,” he mumbled, face turning red as he looked back at the stove.
“That must have been a lot of work. How long did it take you?”
“Most of the day. What are you doing?” he asked at the strange contortions her face was making.
“Trying to visualize the reverse scavenger hunt. Hold on…” she scrunched up her nose and he could see her picturing his lunacy in her mind. “Okay, that was fun!”
“Glad I could amuse you,” he grumbled.
“As every good host would be!” she grinned at him. “And then Lulu went and ruined it by digging up the Loki toy. Well, leave it to the Trickster God to upset the best laid plans. But really, is it such a big deal that I know?”
Tom closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. She really was being sweet about the whole fiasco of his running into the house. Perhaps, if he could regain some of his own composure, it didn’t have to be the biggest fumble in the history of first dates. He just had to take a cue from her and try to find the situation amusing rather than humiliating.
“It is not,” he said at last. “Thank you for taking it all so well. Now, dinner is almost ready, I just need to put it on the plates.”
“My I use the loo then?” she asked.
“Of course. Second door on your right.”
“Thanks. I’ll meet you back outside. Oh, and be careful – Lulu may look innocent, but she will steal any food off your plate if you turn your back on her!”
“Wonderful, then she and Bobby will have even more to bond over,” he remarked, rolling his eyes.
“Between the two of them we’ll be lucky if there’s any food left for us.”
“Good thing I made extra then.”
“Oh, before I go – there are still hand towels in the bathroom, right? They didn’t get squirreled away for having horns on them or something?”
“No, the hand towels are purely Only Lovers Left Alive, and I assumed that was enough of a deep dive to keep any but the most ardent fan in the dark.”
“You’d be surprised, people love a good vampire flick!” she teased, as she headed off down the hall.
Tom took another steadying breath. So, she not only knew of him from the Avengers franchise, and from the London stage, but she had seen at least one of his indie films as well. Which meant, he suddenly realized, that she had seen more of him than he had realized. Squirming a bit, he plated the food and carried it outside. He would be sure not to bring up high rise, he decided. He had heard rumors about people pausing the playback on a certain scene, and he preferred to stay in the dark about her exposure to that.
By the time Leia joined him out at the table, Tom had managed to calm down a bit. He would have needed to tell her about his job eventually any way; at least now he could enjoy the rest of the evening without the fear of her reaction hanging over his head. The food had served up nicely, and he poured a friendly serving of wine into each of their glasses. Bobby and Lulu were already sniffing around at his feet, hoping for clumsy hands to drop offerings to their greedy mouths.
“Back off you two hellions,” he told them good naturedly. “Haven’t you already done enough damage tonight to the possibility of my getting a second date?”
***
Leia froze in the doorway, eyes going large. Had she heard that right? Had Tom just used the word date to describe the evening?
She had hoped it was a date, of course. She had even called it one to herself and her dog as she was getting ready. Still, she had not quite been able to convince herself that it was anything more than what he had sold it as – a playdate opportunity for their canine companions. After all, a handsome, charming, world famous movie star such as him could date anyone. Why would he want to be with her when the entire glamourous world was his for the taking?
Looking down, she realized that her hands were shaking. His befuddlement at the discovery of his identity had been charmingly adorable, and it had the wonderful side affect of allowing her to feel less awkward herself to see him so out to sea. It gave her back a modicum of power. That was gone now with one word from him that she was not even meant to hear.
“Oh, hi!” he smiled, seeing her in the door and standing up like the perfect gentleman he was despite their outside, casual location. “Dinner’s served.”
“It smells divine,” she told him, and rolled her eyes inwardly at the gushing word.
“Well, I am a God you know,” he smirked, and then blushed and looked embarrassed.
What was happening? They had been so comfortable outside in the park! Just two regular adults enjoying each other’s company and the relatively fresh air of suburban London. Now though, now that she knew he meant it as a date, and he knew she knew he was an actor it was all awkward.
“So, do you have any mischief in mind for tonight?” she asked.
“I suppose that depends on how the night goes,” he gave her a devastating wink.
Wait, was he flirting with her now? Ack! She didn’t know what to think, but her body certainly responded to that comment. Wanting a distraction, she shoved a forkful of pasta in her mouth and let out an involuntary moan of pleasure at the delicious taste.
“Is it okay?” he asked, despite her clear approval of his efforts.
“It’s amazing!” she told him, as soon as her mouth was empty. “Jesus Tom, on top of everything else you can cook too?”
“Eh heh heh heh,” he laughed, obviously delighted. “I’m afraid I am full of flaws, but I will do my best to hide them from you for as long as possible. I’m glad you like it.”
“You’ll have to give me the recipe!” she demanded, taking a long drink of the wine that paired perfectly with it.
“Ah no. If I do that, what incentive will there be for you to come back?”
“I don’t think you have to worry about that,” she looked up at him over her wine glass. “After all, Lulu is having such a good time, she would never forgive me if I deprived her of more free time with Bobby.”
“Right. Yes. Lulu and Bobby.”
“It’s why we’re here, after all,” she shrugged, not knowing why she was pushing it so hard.
“Oh, I almost forgot!”
Tom shot out of his chair, startling the dogs who both started yipping in irritation. He jogged into the house, and a moment later came out with a beat’s pill speaker in hand. Placing it on the table, he fiddled with it until music straight out of a café in Venice started crooning out of it.
“The perfect final touch!” he said proudly.
“I can almost see the canal in the distance!” she told him with a laugh.
“I would pole you out, but I’m afraid my boat is not handy.”
He suddenly blushed again, and Leia had a quick flash of where his mind had gone. They both turned crimson and occupied themselves with the food for a few minutes in charged silence.
Leia could feel the tension sparking between them, but she had no idea how to act upon it. She could not think of any time in her past where she had been in a similar situation. How could she have been, when she had never met a man in her life like the one sitting across from her.
The song switched to a slower song, still Italian, and she noticed that Tom was tapping his fork against his plate in rhythm with it. He noticed her gaze and chuckled, eyes twinkling.
“You should see me with spoons,” he told her.
A moment later, he was on his feet again (really, he seemed incapable of sitting still tonight) and placing his napkin on his chair. Holding out one hand to her he raised his eyebrows in question.
“May I have this dance?”
As Leia hesitated, he face fell. Stepping back, Tom put his hands behind his back and dropped his head apologetically.
“I am so sorry,” he rushed to say. “I completely forgot. Of course, we are in the middle of a pandemic. The last thing we should be doing is dancing. Hands touching, standing close together. I am so, so sorry.”
“Tom, Tom!” Leia interrupted his contrition. “Stop apologizing! If I was concerned about catching the virus from you, I wouldn’t be eating the food you cooked! We both got tested, remember?”
“Are you sure, because you didn’t look –“
“I was worried about crushing your feet,” she admitted, stepping towards him. “I am not exactly what you would call graceful.”
“Well, I am hardly Baryshnikov,” he demurred. “But if you’ll allow me…”
He offered his hand again, and this time Leia took it. It was the first time they had touched, and she almost jumped at the spark that passed from his fingers to hers. His grip was firm, and he drew her in so that she was held firm against his chest. His other arm came around to rest his hand on her lower back, and she had to remind herself to breath as she was held in his embrace.
“Look at me,” he said as she obeyed instantly. In part it was because it was what she wanted to do, but it was also a reaction to the note of command in his voice. Even though it was soft, there was a note in it that was to be obeyed. “Good girl.”
As he led her around the little yard in what she realized was a waltz, Leia felt her last bit of restraint melting away. She wanted this man desperately and there was no denying it. His hips moving against her, his hand burning a hole through her dress, his low singing along with the song, it all had her ready to drop to her knees and beg him to take her.
“I love dancing,” he said, stating the obvious. “Especially with the right partner.”
“Sorry you’re missing that,” she tried for humor.
“Quite the contrary,” he didn’t rise to the bait, looking her straight in the eye and keeping his voice serious. “I can think of no one else I would rather be dancing with. You must know that you are all that has made the last month bearable. I look forward to our afternoon walks more than I can say.”
“Me too,” she whispered, tongue swiping over her lips. She saw his eyes flicker to them and then return to hers slightly darker.
Her breath caught and she was certain that he was going to kiss her when a loud crashing noise brought them both up short. Spinning around, they saw Tom’s plate laying on the ground, Lulu and Bobby shamelessly sharing the spoils of their raid like a modern day Lady and Tramp.
“Bobby! Bad dog!” Tom barked, advancing on them.
“Oh, Lulu! You naughty girl!” Leia scolded at the same time.
As Tom advanced on them, the dogs took off in the direction of the tree, trailing sauce in their wake. Tom stomped after them, eyes narrowed while Leia picked up the plate and mopped up some of the mess with his napkin.
“Bobby, stay!” Tom snapped, snapping his fingers.
Bobby dropped to his haunches with a whimper while Lulu headed back towards Leia and the remaining food.
“You too, sit girl!”
He snapped again and Leia, on sheer instinct, set the plate down with a clatter and sat on the chair, hands folding in her lap and eyes looking up towards him, Lulu sitting at her feet.
Tom’s face, facing her, went completely still for one long moment. Leia could feel a nervous energy rise in her stomach until a slow, Cheshire cat smile spread across his face. The dogs forgotten, he looked at her with a sparking intensity that made her weak as he crossed to where she sat.
“Well,” he drawled, “isn’t that interesting.”
Archeron’s Kitchen was the most popular restaurant in Velaris. It had the best food, the best drinks, the best atmosphere, and Elain had never been more proud to say that she was the Head Chef. It had taken years of hard work from both her and her two sisters to reach the level they were at now and they only continued to grow. The sisters worked closely together: Nesta (the eldest) directed the finance and other admin, Feyre (the youngest) worked on the design aspects and managed the staff and Elain manned the menus and the actual cooking. They worked well together, with only minor disagreements happening occasionally, and soon they had rocketed to the most well known and sought after restaurant in Velaris.
This was why she was contemplating her life choices as she pulled up to the local convenience store to buy ramen at 3 am. It wasn’t even the nice ramen; it was the crappy 50p packet of ramen that took less than a minute to cook. She often tried to utilise her skills to cook herself the healthiest and tastiest meals but recently she had been working overtime due to another restaurant's rising popularity. The two staff had even formed some sort of rivalry, trash-talking each other in the streets and slandering the other restaurant to their patrons. She found it childish, so Elain didn’t partake, but she did find it mildly amusing. The new restaurant was several streets over and it was the opposite of Archeron’s Kitchen in every way. Where they were warm and cosy, Starfall was sleek and modern. Where they focused on comfort foods, Starfall served new and innovative dishes. People went to the Archeron’s for the food, whereas people went to Starfall for the experience. And where the Archeron’s Kitchen was run by three sisters, Starfall was run by three brothers.
She had never actually met them. She knew their names and what they looked like but in terms of interactions she had only caught a glimpse of two of them once before. They had stood in the main square with Feyre and Nesta arguing about the importance of serving classic food. Her sisters had both come away grumbling about ‘upstart assholes with no sense of tradition’. As far as Elain was aware, the two brothers they had argued with weren’t actually in charge of the menu, making her unsure if they had full authority over the subject, but she didn’t want to start them off again so she refrained from mentioning it.
Elain pulled into an empty parking space and took a moment to lay her head against the headrest and close her eyes. She was tired and hungry. There was no food in the fridge, her bank account was looking quite sorry for itself and she still had more menus to plan and ideas for new dishes to brainstorm. Steeling herself, she hauled herself out of the car and locked it as she walked to the bright light of the store. She pulled the hood of the tattered sweatshirt she wore over her head as a precaution against recognition. With the status of a semi-famous chef, she didn’t want anyone to see her in the somewhat pitiful state she was in. The bell rang as she pushed open the door, signalling her entrance. The bright flickering lights and cool temperature made it feel like she was entering a separate dimension, one that lacked all sense of time and direction. Elain nodded at the cashier as she walked past them, making a beeline to the snacks aisle. She was greeted by a wide range of ramen, the different flavours and prices making it difficult to choose. She had about £1.50 in her purse and she desperately wanted a coffee too so she would have to be frugal. She was so engrossed with her ramen selection that she failed to notice a person coming up beside her. When she swivelled around to check the time on the obscenely large digital clock above the checkout, she crashed into them hard, causing her, them and the copious amounts of ramen they had piled in their arms to go flying to the floor.
Elain let out a yelp as she landed hard on her tailbone and felt her face heat up.
“I am so sorry!”
A deep, warm chuckle floated toward her and her head snapped up to look at its source. She found hazel eyes staring back. A large man with tan skin and dark hair sat in front of her, surrounded by many colourful packets of ramen. Her heart fluttered slightly as he smiled at her. He was handsome, even in this shitty convenience store lighting at 3 am dressed in similar attire to her.
“Don’t worry about it. I should have been paying more attention. Are you okay?”
She nodded before sitting up fully and helped to gather the ramen that lay around them. He smiled at her gratefully and they sat in content if not slightly awkward silence as they pulled the packets into a pile before finally rising. As she looked closer at him, a spark of recognition kindled within her.
“Do I know you?”
He looked at her curiously, tilting his head.
“I’m not sure but you do look familiar.”
They stood analysing each other. Normally the staring would make her uncomfortable, but with him, she found it didn’t bother her nearly as much as it should have. This went on for about a minute before she saw realisation set into his eyes.
“You’re Elain Archeron. The Head Chef for Archeron’s Kitchen. Why are you buying shitty ramen at 3 am? Shouldn’t you have made yourself a three-course meal by now?”
Elain felt something drop inside her. She hadn’t noticed that her hood had fallen off when she fell, exposing her and her shameful ramen buying to the whole world. But as he laughed softly, she remembered where she recognised him from.
She scowled at him as she said, “ Well you’re Azriel Knight, Starfall’s Head Chef, so you can’t exactly talk.”
She gestured to the stack of ramen that she had just helped pile into his arms. He turned away slightly as if to hide them.
“My stash had run out, okay. I need it to keep me going when I stay up late planning dishes.”
“I get that. That’s why I’m here right now.” She replied and a mutual understanding passed between them.
Elain knew she shouldn’t be talking to him right now, the reminders of the supposed rivalry between the two restaurants loomed like a shadow behind her. But the longer they spent together, the more she found herself not caring.
“I feel like we should be arguing,” He told her. “If my brothers were here, they would have been kicked out for yelling by now.”
She smiled, “Same for my sisters. But I’ve never really cared to be honest. I just want to focus on the food, not a silly competition that people seem to be taking too seriously.”
He nodded in agreement and they both began to walk to the cashier.
“So, what kind of dishes are you planning then?” She asked. “I promise I won’t steal any ideas. It’s not my style anyway.”
“I”m not a hundred percent sure on the actual contents of the dish right now, but I’m currently trying to create a more experimental menu. We recently unveiled a new line of drinks that have a more theatrical element to them. Colour changing, dry ice, bubbling, the whole shebang and I wanted to design a food menu that went along with that.”
He turned away from her to pay the cashier, giving her a moment to turn over his words in her head. She’d gotten a glimpse at some of the drinks and food from when she had taken a look at (read: stalked) their website and various social media sites. She had called it ‘scouting out the competition' when really she was curious to see what had set them apart enough for them to have such a rise in patronage. Whilst it wasn’t her style, she had always thought that she’d like to visit them and try what they had to offer. That was until the stupid rivalry had started and just walking by the restaurant was asking for trouble. Azriel finished paying and grabbed the plastic bag the cashier had placed his ramen in, moving out of the way so she could step up to the counter.
“That sounds amazing!” She replied. ‘I admit, I’ve always wanted to try some of your food but unfortunately, my sister’s might disown me if I even mention it. Calling them over-competitive would be the understatement of the century.”
He laughed at this and she took the opportunity to turn away and press the 50p coin into the cashier's hand. They nodded at her, satisfied and she turned back to Azriel. Together, they walked out of the door and into the cool night.
“I’d say you should stop by, but as you said, our siblings may not be too happy about that.” He let out a sigh. “As much as it amused me at first, I do wish we could just get along. I’d like to come and try some of your food too.”
He swivelled towards her, the white light from the store casting his face into shadows.
“I hope this isn’t too forward of me, but would you like to grab some coffee?”
She smiled at him, shoving the packet of ramen into her hoodie pocket.
“I’d love to. And maybe in the future, we could make some of our food for each other.”
He raised an eyebrow at that. “Like a date?”
She felt dread trickle in. Maybe she had misread the situation. They seemed to have been getting on well, and she had caught him checking her out when they first bumped into each other. Plus, he had just asked her to grab coffee with him. Perhaps he was just being friendly.
She swallowed anxiously before replying, “Yeah. If that’s something you’d be interested in.”
He smiled at her brightly, making her heart stutter and skip a beat.
“I’d like that.”
They stood under the streetlamps in an almost abandoned parking lot. Two head chef’s from popular restaurants with bad ramen and a budding connection between them.
“What are you feeling? Starbucks or maybe that local coffee shop down the street? I think it’s called Veritas?”
Elain hummed as they started walking along the road.
“Veritas, I think. I can get a cup of tea for a pound.” She reached into her pocket to show him her single coin.
For the second time that evening (or was it morning?), he raised an eyebrow at her. “I thought I was buying?”
She glanced at him in confusion. “Since when?”
“I thought since I had asked you it was implied?”
She let out a laugh, shaking her head. “My god, we are bad at this. I think we need to get out of the kitchen more.”
“I’m not sure about that, I’ve got plenty of pick up lines I've stolen from my chefs.” He stepped in front of her, stopping her in her path. “Baby, you’re the crème to my brûlée.”
She groaned, hitting him on the arm as she pushed past him. “That was so bad! I might leave.”
“As if you could do better.”
She pulled out her phone, searching up ‘chef pick up lines’. She grimaced, “These are all so sexual! I think it might be best if we keep flirting out of the kitchen.”
They both doubled over in fits of laughter before continuing down the street. She was glad she gave in to her cravings and went to buy ramen at 3 am. She could tell that whatever this was, it was going to turn into something great.
Apeiron/Uncreation locales
She called this place Uncreation because it was where angels went when all the cosmic realms had been destroyed. Cas suspected it before, but he knew for certain now. She had entirely missed the point. This place was a world of trial runs and test drives. It was a record of the past as much as a model of the future. It was a world of endless creation, running parallel to the still, small centre of humanity, Earth.
will this ruin the magic? let's hope not. there were a lot of things I drew from, some more specific than others. the deserts and galaxies I leave to your imagination, as to the rest...
In the sand he passed a giant foot carved of stone, as tall at the top as he was, and reaching higher only to leave off just above the ankle with a jagged break. Not far from it, half-sunk in the sand, a broken head. One empty eye watched him. He approached and placed his hand upon the bridge of the nose, out of which time had taken a deep cut.
“Ozymandias, King of Kings,” he said. The stone did not move, but he felt from within it a respondent hum of recognition.
this one's pretty direct, a reference to Percy Shelley's famous poem "Ozymandias" and the fallen colossal statues of Rameses II in Egypt. given that this post only gets longer from here, the rest are going under a cut.
As they spoke, he led Cas to an opening in the ruins of a jungle city. Elaborately carved stone crawling with ivy and the reaching roots of spung trees that rose high above their heads. [...] They passed stone-relief devatas, ensconced in their ornamental arches, nearing some central temple.
I think I must have been reading an article about jungle cities and there was something about this temple, specifically, that opened up a door to thinking about this otherworld of Creation. it immediately became a palimpsest of past and future. as if it were created in its current state in Apeiron, but to be in its current state it has to have been a living place where thousands of feet pressed the stone in years of use and traffic. it cannot be separated from its past or its purpose. and this inherent contradiction made sense of Apeiron to me.
To one side of them stretched the red dirt of the badlands, starkly cut against a dark and starry sky, while on their other side an immense buddha towered, cut from the surrounding rock and draped in crawling green vines, gazing down with benign indifference. In contrast, Cas gripped Dean’s lapels fiercely, knuckles white, eyes searching Dean for some anticipated sign of injury.
look at these guys! so cool. obviously I got a little obsessed with scale in Apeiron and everything is just massive. here we've got the Giant Buddha of Leshan (China) and the Great Buddha of Nihon-ji (Japan), though honestly they are BOTH giant AND great.
They stood at the side of a wine-dark body of water, with ancient paving stones beneath their feet and Italianate pillars at their back. Briny water lapped against the straight stone edge of the seawall. In the sky above them, a moon perpetually eclipsed a sun, with the light of the glowing corona reflected on the water’s rippling surface.
a little less specific, we've got a sense of the Italian coast at any time during/after the Roman Empire. the image of the eclipse comes from that book Cosmigraphics, which I heartily recommend. historical depictions of the order of our universe are just so neat!
The dark-brick building, less changeable than anything else in the indefinite world of Apeiron, read ‘Public Library’ on the outside. The glyphic gold outline of an eye spanned across the heavy wooden doors; an uncanny watcher, an inscrutable talisman.
pretty much.
but okay in seriousness apparently I have to make a second part to this so I can share all the cool celestial mechanics stuff I have.
ayup, clanny! have you seen the AGOTI mod yet? if yes, can you do some headcanons or a scenario where the newly imprisoned AGOTI meets the unwilling warden of the void who’s been trying to escape for a few years (i think time moves faster in the void), so they team up to get out. When Cherry and Keith show up, Cherry actually recognizes the warden as the crazy talented old producer for her and Tabi before they mysteriously disappeared, and they all end up escaping and the warden becomes AGOTI’s new producer. -🎋🦊
Ooooh nice idea! I love the mod so yes ......
"Ugh..stupid-ass demon scumbags!" Agoti stormed around the Void in anger, jumping from one floating rock to the next. "They couldn't handle me taking the spotlight?! What kinda bullshit is that?!!"
"Hey buddy, you might wanna chill out-"
"SHUT UP, ASSHOLE!!" Spinning around, the tendrils of his hair lashed out at the other person who spoke.
But he was surprised when you dodged the attack. With little effort you grabbed his hair and flipped him over, sending him crashing to the ground. He groaned in pain and opened his eyes, shocked to see the electrified prong aimed at his chest.
Though he also saw you were covered in armor, sporting a symbol of some kind on your chestplate. "I'm giving you one more chance to calm down." You warned. "I really don't like hurting people."
"Yeah? Well you really kicked the shit outta me just now.." Agoti hissed, but ultimately decided to give in. "Fine. I'm cool. Can ya point that thing somewhere else?"
You nodded and held your spear back to your side, while he got up and dusted himself off. "Who are you anyway?"
"The Warden of the Void. I assume you're that hotheaded "A Guy On The In-""
"Just call me Agoti. It's less of a mouthful." He put his hands on his hips, looking around at the white sky. "So you're the warden of this place? This goddamn prison that I shouldn't even be in.."
"I heard a lot of folks say that but..I'm inclined to agree with you."
He did a double-take. "Wait, really?"
"According to this log.." Waving your hand, you brought up a hologram that displayed his profile. "You're here for...outshining every singer in your town and threatening the careers of two famous rockstars?"
"...what the fuck..so they weren't bullshitting?"
"No. To be sent here because of that is an unusual punishment."
"So you can't enter a plea deal or whatever? Make those jerks come in here instead?"
"Unfortunately I can't." You made the hologram disappear. "In a way I was wrongfully imprisoned, too."
Agoti seemed baffled, so you explained how you were sent here ages ago. You've forgotten what you previously did, but one day you were just randomly given the duties of the Void's warden. Anything you needed to subdue and process prisoners was granted to you--but you could never leave even if your sentence was finished.
You've sought out ways of escaping for years...without much success. But you didn't wanna get caught, and until Agoti came here, you had no actual incentive to leave.
Once you finished your story, the screen demon hummed in thought. "So..you want out, I want out. I bet we can make something happen." With a toothy grin, he offered his hand to you. "How 'bout you show me the ropes and I'll help you find an escape? Deal?"
"It could take us a long time to figure that out." You hesitated. "You should be aware that time moves exceptionally fast in this dimension. Minutes out there are like hours in here-"
"So what? Better to start finding a way out now than later. C'mon.." Agoti was growing impatient, but fortunately he managed to get through to you, as you shook his hand.
"Alright, Agoti. It's a deal." You smiled.
...........
Neither you or Agoti knew how long it's been since you made that deal to help each other escape.
But finally, you figured it out. The solution was right there in front of you all along:
A singing battle
Singing was the key to escaping this place. With the combined soundwaves of two singers, a portal to the real world could be produced.
Now the only problem was...you were never really a singer, and Agoti was. So it wouldn't be a fair match that can create a strong-enough portal.
"You're tellin' me there ain't another goddamn singer here?!!" He fumed one day as you regrettably told him no other prisoner was proficient in music. "Great..juuuuuust GREAT!! We spent all this time and got nothing out of-!"
"Wait, what's that?"
Agoti looked to where you were pointing, seeing a portal opening up in the sky, before two figures fell out of it: a boy with blue hair and a girl in a red dress.
They crash landed onto the platform you and Agoti were on, miraculously suffering no injuries of any kind.
"Huh..this is new.." He remarked as he approached the couple.
The blue-haired boy made a beeping noise, standing up and rubbing his head. You noticed the microphone in his hands, but more notably..you recognized the girl who was with him.
"My apologies but..have we met?"
"Hm?" The brunette looked up at you, surprised, though you could see her eyes flash with recognition. "Are you...[y/n]?"
"[Y/n]? You two know each other?" Agoti quirked an eyebrow, bewildered. He hadn't known your actual name until now.
"Yeah, a long time ago I was her music producer. But last time I saw her she was with someone else." You mused, trying to remember who her last boyfriend was. "It was.....Tabi wasn't it, Charlotte?"
"Woah woah...Tabi dated her?!! No way. He never told me about that!"
"Yeah um..we were together for a while," Charlotte awkwardly chuckled. "But....I-I'd rather not talk about it. I just have a new boyfriend now. He's Keith." She gestured to the blue-haired guy.
"Yeah! And..uh...skee deh beh doo bop!" Keith pointed at Agoti, who looked offended by whatever he said.
But he went back to snarling at the pair, manifesting a microphone out of thin air as he stepped closer. "Another singer, huh? Well I hope you have better insults than that! Because we're all gonna be here a while....a very long one."
Knowing what was about to happen, you decided to stand by them and make sure nobody else interrupted, while Charlotte hopped onto a nearby floating rock.
And so you watched Agoti and Keith have a rap battle, in which your friend kept losing again and again. You did try to warn him not to lose his temper, as this could be the only chance of you two escaping this prison.
But his frustration and impatience got the better of him, as by the third round he turned the platform into a giant speaker and sent it flying into the air. Poor Charlotte was clinging onto the rock for dear life, but you caught her and tried to keep steady as the platform swayed.
"Well..so much for "staying calm"." You sighed as Agoti shouted at his rival, berating him for "insulting him", before the two had one final showdown.
Although he lost yet again, their combined efforts managed to breach a portal into the dimension, and you all escaped through it.
Finally..you and Agoti were free from this hell.
~Epilogue~
In the weeks following the events in the Void, you've decided to become Agoti's new music producer once his career started back up. Thanks to your talent, the fans returned in no time at all.
The main issue was him previously making a competition out of singing, so he decided to perform his music locally and lose the ego...just a little bit of it.
Meanwhile Solazar, his friend and manager, was concerned about Charlotte and her ties to the family that trapped you to begin with.
Though the two of you just brushed that aside for the time being, wanting a chance to experience the real world again.
It was good to be back.
