Business Cats AU
So previously, Pete went to court with Joey's rich, snob parents to take their child and succeeded!
And now they are back to bite... and bite hard they do.
Rumors spread in Pete’s school, he's the principal BTW, they are really bad. Will I say them? No. Is it because I'm lazy? Yes.
Pete's trying to keep his reputation and job safe, someone almost hit Scar with a car, the hospital comes to take his oxygen tank(he needs it for sleeping), wonder who-, and all jobs are turning down Joey.
Joey's parents are livid and making sure Pete knows.
Let's see how Pete handles this while calming Joey down that it's not his fault while protecting Scar

Damian: Baba. I’ve acquired an enemy at the academy. He’s been ripping my drawings, teasing me about my lineage, and smearing your honor. I understand murder can’t happen. How shall I proceed?
Bruce: [Has a flashback of Thomas driving to his bully’s house, spiked brass knuckles on his hands, petting his head and smiling dangerously, ‘I’ll be right back, chum!’]
Bruce: …I’ll talk to his parents.
Damian: Todd?
Jason: Finally, an excuse to tackle a 10 year old.

watching the sdcc panel and i am just very :) about how sweet their answers to “what are some of the micro moments from the game that have stuck with you the most over the years?” are. taliesin saying what the fuck is up with that which was the first like The Party Gets To Know Each Other moments of c3. travis saying asking his wife if he could kiss her in campaign. marisha going way back to the cannonball competition in campaign one. ashley choosing the beauyasha date but also just the silly goat noise matt made. liam adding onto that to compliment matt roleplaying grass so well and then saying his favourite moment was writing a story for laura and reading it to her as caleb for jester. and then matt saying that was his answer, and that his favourite moments of the game are when they find ways to give gifts to each other whether tangible or not. and sam saying his favourite moments have less to do with the story and is more so when he can just. see his friends across the table from him. when marisha perches and when laura and ashley are (badly) drawing dicks and liam saying he loves when sam sneezes and ashley tells him to stop it and just. yeah. they Are an extremely popular online powerhouse, but i’m so happy that they’re also friends building a world together out of gifts to and love for one another.
like i Am so enamoured with the characters and the world of exandria but the moments when you can feel the love that those people have for each other reach out from behind the stained glass of their performances (to steal a metaphor from brennan lee mulligan) are so extremely special and i am endlessly grateful that they decided to share their silly little home game with the world.

low key i think to deny Riko's trauma is to deny his narrative importance in the story.
like Riko's trauma related to his father parallels neil's. His concept of brotherhood adds complexity to Andrew and Aaron's relationship. He acts not just as an antagonist but as a foil to other character's relationship to trauma and violence.
to solely view riko through the lense of his actions is to miss the point. He is a character in a story, not a real breathing human being.

Hey. The Finders have no idea that Bonzle was captured. Fritz and Spitz are still waiting, playing video games in the Monastery, for Cole to bring their sister out of hiding now that the blood moon is over. Geo is still sitting by the window, watching and waiting for a dragon on the horizon to return his kid safe and sound. Cole took a very unsure Bonzle, assured them all everything would be okay, and they'd be back soon. He promised he'd find a way to protect her.
Don't think about how they'll smile when Cole finally trudges back, happy to know he's okay. Especially don't think about the Finders stopping, looking out over the group, and how Cole can't look them in the eyes when they turn to him and ask; where's Bonzle?

Franky would be one of the first ones to realize something's going on between Sanji and Usopp. Not only because he spends most of the time with the sniper and he gradually starts to sneak out more to be with Sanji, or the fact that he talks a lot about him while they're fixing the ship together. But because the first fucking thing Sanji did when he met him was to kick him in the face and refer to Usopp as "our long-nose". Like, okay, protective boyfriend much? Idk. I think Franky has had enough experiences in life to see when a man is truly in love.

Do you think Thomas and Martha would’ve made Bruce take self-defense classes of any kind? Or personally teach him self-defense
Martha DEFINITELY did, but a much softer version than what she had growing up; Kanes didn’t hold back on their grueling physical education. They practically own the “How to raise a troubled badass” guide.
Thomas is the exact opposite; He says Bruce wont need to worry about that. Why would he, with his father right there?
And then Thomas wasn’t there.
Bruce deeply understood how much his father loved him after seeing the state Gotham’s in; he also realizes how much more he needs to care.

Would it be weird to say that I would want to breed with Bubba Sawyer? Like… No lie, would love to become the mama of his kids. He’s just so hot… and he’s a good dad type, too. The setup is perfect there. 😮💨🥰

Not every single child - adult caretaker relationship is automatically a parental one and I'm very aware fandom is overeager to label them as such and I've talked about that in the past! HOWEVER!! I firmly believe that in the event of a time travel au where post-canon lan xichen - squarely in his 40s and feeling like he aged an extra two decades since guanyin temple - were to somehow be transported back in time and meet 7 year old big-eyed "never done anything wrong in his LIFE" baby Meng Yao it would take him all of 3 hours to decide that he's a stepdad now.

Dean is such a paradox for me because on the one hand, I have been actively triggered by him in the show, there are moments where, intentionally or not, the writers managed to create a portrayal of manipulation and abuse and control issues that it sets off actual alarms for me. And on the other hand, I would not have him any other way. There is something — not comforting, that’s too soft a word — about knowing where Dean’s actions stem from, having seen and learned all that we do about his childhood neglect and parentification and the trauma he goes through repeatedly in the show, and that he doesn’t come out clean. He comes out a goddamn mess who ends up hurting the people around him in reaction to his own pain!
There’s a reality there that’s. Almost nice, actually. Distressing to watch, but it is a fucking mess, it’s a good mess! He’s got zero healthy coping skills and a healthy relationship with say, his brother, is terrifying because it leaves him open to abandonment!
I’m not sure I’m wording this correctly. There is a way to be a good abuse victim. Take the pain, martyr yourself on it, and then, even if you have no support or idea how to, then you have to become a Good Person who never hurts anyone the way you have been learning to your entire life. Simply toss everything that shaped you out the door and emerge a saint with a tragic backstory. And Dean is not that. And that’s so fucking good. Everything that he has gone through continues to effect the way he treats the people around him, and he can’t fight the behaviors he might recognize as harmful because he also sees them as protecting him (or protecting Sam by keeping Sam with him.)
And sometimes, idk. It feels good to see a guy who didn’t heal the “right way.” Who mostly didn’t heal at all, just keeps the wound open because it’s easier that way.
