Friendly reminder that the reason we’re seeing less coverage on the ground in Palestine from the people who reported to us; is because they are dead. It’s now estimated 100+ journalists have been martyred. It’s why we see less media reporting and coverage. Let that sink in! Also for those who don’t know much about journalism, they have immunity. Killing a journalist is a war crime. They are granted international humanitarian immunity/ law as long as they do not participate in international hostilities. Which of course, we know they did not. So… it’s not just about civilians getting forcibly removed from their land. It’s about international law not meaning ANYTHING to isnotreal. Stop being apolitical!!!! Stop ignoring a systemic crisis. This is an illegal occupation! I will happily make more avatar parallels and comparisons if people need more information and help.

Also I do find it abhorrent and embarrassing to anyone participating in the project olive branch out of the blue, after 8 months of being able to amplify Palestinian voices and advocate for their rights. Keep an eye on these influencers, bloggers, models, actors, friends etc. Don’t be fooled by optical allyship and performative activism 🇵🇸🕊️🌊

This donation has barely been moving. I’ve talked to Farah and she’s told me the funding is slow.

Farah from Gaza and her family had their life turned upside down by the occupation. Their homes were destroyed, and her father’s shop— their only source of income, was bombed as well.

Farah was studying at Al-Azhar University, but that was bombed and destroyed as well. Farah, her brother, and her sister have all had their education cut short due to the occupation.

Every day, the situation gets more urgent— so let’s put our efforts into directly helping the evacuation of Farah and her family. Egyptian border fees cost about $7000 per person to leave Gaza, not counting the living expenses when they get there. So,

I had to leave my room this morning because I didn't have enough to stay for another day. I am starting to get discouraged of the grind of trying to constantly raise money to keep a roof over my head; it doesn't always work out in my favor and then I have to spend my remaining posts for the day trying to get enough to go back into the hotel.

I might be able to cover most of the storage unit costs, possibly, but they'll be late and I'm at risk of losing all my stuff. I know it sounds stupid, but my 40-year-old stuffed beaver Beto is in the unit and if I lost him I'd be devastated. So please help if you can for that as well.

I don't typically do this sort of thing, but I felt the need to share this to a larger audience in hopes of finding some generous souls.

There's been a tragedy at my workplace, my coworker, Alex, recently lost her son in a hiking accident. He was missing for days until unfortunately they found his body at the bottom of a cliff. He had fallen and not survived. It's been hard on everyone but I simply cannot imagine what she's going through losing a child, especially around the holidays.

My other coworkers have put together a gofundme in hopes of taking some of that financial stress off of Alex's family's shoulders. If you guys would do me the favour of sharing this around and donating anything you can that would he much appreciated. Even just a dollar helps get towards the goal. These coworkers are like a second family to me, they're some of the most supportive and kind souls in my life, it would mean the world to me if they got some random kindness from strangers online to help ease the pain and financial burden this christmas.
