GlassHeart ✨au✨ Or something like that

Well, we've all seen these sports au's by glassheart (I think there are like three of them? I don't know, it's a lot).

And it gave me the idea for two au's, one a little more serious and the other is just a joke that occurred to me.

Glassheart! But they're both chess players. Ok, think about it.

Chloe, who is a star student in both sports and intelligence, So she decides to learn to play chess, which she turns out to be very good at but she is not passionate about the game but still she is the undefeated queen in chess.

And Red, who learned only because the Queen of Hearts forced her to learn about strategy, though after a while she begins to genuinely love the game because Because to beat her opponent she has to be more clever and resourceful than the other to win.

They both meet on the first day of school and have a tremendously difficult chess game that ends in a draw. Both are very competitive, so they would continue to have games in order to defeat the other, but they always end up in a draw.

So they spend the whole semester fighting and being rivals but little by little they fall in love.

Furthermore, their games last almost a week because each one takes a minimum of seven hours just to move a pawn.

(I was obsessed with chess for three years of my life and that's why I'm now making an au about chess for glassheart? Maybe).

For the joke au I was thinking literally of the image "such a trope, but it's reversed" For example: "they win by the power of friendship" becomes "they lose by the power of friendship".

So I have the honor(?) to present to you:

Glassheart! But neither of them are good at sports.

Ok, I know, Chloe is good at using swords and Red at doing parkour, but this au is not very serious so don't take it seriously.

For this au I thought of two variants:

1) They both know the rules of and plays of all sports, but no matter how hard they try they are simply unable to play them the right way. Both frustrated by this situation, they team up in order to be able to play a sport well.

2) Actually each is pretty good at sports, but they meet for the first time in gym class and have a massive gay crush that is accompanied by an even worse gay panic so they don't can concentrate on what they are doing so they start to play worse and worse. It doesn't help that they're on the same teams or that they're both too stubborn to admit that they like each other.

Would you have any thoughts about the Gaang in a modern au (either with or without bending), especially jobs? Can I rant for a bit about how cool it is that one of Lief's defining traits is that he's smart? Like, not even necessarily cunning or clever or street smart (though he's totally that too) but just. Book smart. He knows maths and history and english and he uses that knowledge for stuff! And! He's also cunning and clever and street smart and a fighter at the same time!

And I know it's not that big a deal, but normally in adventure stories, especially for a younger audience, the hero's strengths are more in sword fighting or magic casting or being really good at parkour. And here the hero is smart and he's proud of it, and his friends are proud of it, and the world is proud of it! Literally! Deltora Quest as a world and a plot revolves around puzzles and riddles and putting clues together more than it does on physical fights. In almost every battle they get into, the day is won not by being better at fighting than their opponents, but because they realised the loophole or figured out some vital info in the nick of time. (And I say almost every battle, because Jasmine is both willing and able to stab a bitch.)

The Topaz that clears and strengthens the mind is probably the most used Gem in the whole series, because Lief knows it's value so well. And even when he can't rely on its strength, when the moon is new or the Belt is covered, he's still using his brains to find his way out of impossible situations! It's just! So cool!

Brain over brawn and all that, except not really, 'cause he's also a badass with the sword! Wtf! Lief why are you so cool??

Deltora is probs my fav series. I am OBSESSED with the characters and worldbuilding, but the codes and riddles and puzzles? That is my jam you guys. I studied those things. Every time a new one came up, I memorised it! I tried recreating it! It was awesome! And the Lief + Jasmine combo of Basically-A-Nerd Who Is Awesome and Badass Fleshed-Out Women My Beloved who are besties before love-interests was a pinnacle of my childhood.

Riddle Rosehearts

Riddle swears, that he is treating you no different than any other student. That, of course, is a farce, but god forbid anybody tells him so. What do you mean he is more lenient? No he's not.

That is until you accidentally break a rule and he lets it slide with a sigh and a pat on the head? A PAT? ON THE HEAD?! FrOM THE DORM LEADER OF HEARTSLABYUL?!

Aside from his apparent softness, he also goes above and beyond to offer his help whenever needed. Homework troubles? Study dates. Ramshackle problems? He's ALREADY storming into Crowley's office. Caught the cold? Prepare to be treated with just the right medicine and just the right warm herbal tea. Oh no. He insists to help. No, it is of no bother to him.

His pining is the respectful, gentlemanly pining. In his eyes, you are his treasure. His love is also very pure and even a simple brush of the shoulders would make his heart skip a beat.

Ace Trappola

Everytime you talk about something that you like, he would be looking at you as if you were a shooting star in the night aky. He would have the warmest, most lovestruck gaze you'll ever see. (which of course you don't notice, otherwise it MIGHT just not be pining anymore 👀) He'd totally hide it of course.

His pining consists of him constantly trying to impress you. Why don't you go cheer him on during basketball practice? "Hey, hey y/n! Look at this!" He then proceeds to try a new parkour trick. Did he succeed? Yes. Did he accidentally scrape his knee when landing? Also yes. Did you end up patching him up? Of course. And he was bathing in attention.

His pining is annoying, but loving. The "Hey, I know it's like 2am, but I have about a dozen bags of popcorn. We're pulling an all-nighter." You don't ask how and why, you just roll with it.

His goal is to make you laugh. Everytime you laugh at one of his jokes, he puffs out his chest and mentally, and sometimes physically, pats his shoulder. And he just can't help but smile himself.

"You're super pretty y'know?"

Deuce Spade

Oh the poor poor baby. He already has a hard time expressing his emotions, imagine having a crush. He'd be constantly bashful around you, speaking in a very soft manner to you, occasionally stuttering, especially when TRYING to give you a compliment.

"Oh...you want us to walk together to class? Yes of course! I mean- sure. Yes. Okay. Great. "

His pining is simultaneously childlike in nature, and very mature. Innocent glances and rosy cheeks, carrying your stuff, or *insisting* to do it, constantly making sure you're okay, you're comfortable, you're good.

Everytime you would study together, he'd casually scoot closer, just a little bit, just to feel the closure. He hasn't had any experience with love, so these feelings are very new for him. His pining comes in the form of inspiration - to be the best possible version of himself, for you and your future. So pat him on the head, kiss his cheek and tell him he's doing a good job. He deserves it, doesn't he?

Trey Clover

Trey has always been shown as the perfect, slightly more domestic man, who'd treat you with homemade sweets and care for you. And while he would, there is a lot more than meets the eye.

I feel like his pining would consist of clever flirtation, usually followed by a quiet chuckle. You never truly know if this is real flirting, or just him being very charming. (spoiler alert: it's both) And the worst part about it is that he gets you every time.

He'd care for you in ways too tender to be considered out of pure friendship, yet keep you at JUST enough of a distance to leave you questioning, WHILE also throwing flirtatious remarks at you.

His pining is shown through gentle touches and charming smiles, teasing good-natured remarks and a lot of healthy communication. If he sees that you're responding positively to his small yet meaningful advances, he'd get over himself rather quickly and ask you out. He's a down to earth guy with a down to earth heart.

Cater Diamond

Oof, a mess.

No really. Carter's mind and heart are at a standstill. Because obviously you wouldn't like the real him, right? He should move on and continue doing what he does best, but also..... It sounds so nice, holding hands, being highschool sweethearts, posting couple selfies, having somebody to confide in.....

His pining is hard, and nearly unbearable for him, long and arduous. He often stares at you and if you're extra vigilant, you'll notice how sometimes his gaze doesn't quite reach you. His mind is running laps, and his heart is like a beat drum.

And sometimes, just sometimes, his carefully created façade drops and suddenly, that stare turns so deep, piercing, longing. Only to be laughed off moments later.

His laugh around you may be loud, but his gentle smiles are very real, and reserved just for you.

Ya know, if Jock!Chloé, or at least Athletic!Chloé is canon, it would go part way to explaining Kim's crush, which otherwise always confused me. Like, reasons aside, she's generally a bitch to you, & I don’t see you two hanging out, or having a plethora of similar interests. But if Kim, an enjoyer of physical activity, got a glimpse of Chloé's muscles, or maybe even knew she took Parkour lessons . . .

You know Dersion actually made Kim's crush make sense? Like don't get me wrong I still hate it and it makes Kim look like An Asshole™, but it makes more sense.

Like from Kim's pov, while Chloé could be rude, she was also a 'prankster'. They'd get along when pulling pranks on people and laughing about the result. Ofc Kim was too insensitive to see the difference between 'prank' and 'bullying'. So to him she's just really clever and funny and ya know what also pretty.

and thats fine!! i know i talk about the first gen and final gen of ofa users more but i do like all of them! so here's some hcs

hikage is very attuned to nature and animals! he has his own little farm and is really skilled with homemade herbal medicine. he's also some sort of animal whisperer and they flock to him like hes a disney princess lol (banjos words). they do actually help him scout sometimes and kept him company despite being a hermit. he also does meditation and do really good tea (both of which bruce taught him)

daigoro is what i assume or atleast hc, is part of the second generation of pro-heroes. his main specialty in his fighting style is parkour! his other weapon is guns :], he frequents bars and despite being rowdy/loud he's charming to most people! (alssoo,, i like to think the reason why he really got along with en is either he just magnets to introverts or bc en reminded him a bit of hikage).

en was part of the first generation hero students (since, i hc that the 1st-3rd gen of pro heroes were only government/police force instated) (and so was nana, since i hc theyre both close at age .. hmm itd be fun to imagine they both were classmates but werent rlly friends until they became coworkers), he's a cat person and actually has cat tendencies too (which is why he adapted daigoro's parkour skills) and has a concerning attachment to fast food

BNHA Fanfic Idea 2

Okay! Now we're leaving RotG ideas aside and going back to BNHA (I also have ONE idea for TROLLS and a bunch of ideas for Karmaland 4 [which you might not know what that is] and some very vague ones for Harry Potter). Anyway, here's the idea:

Warning, this will be long

Title: A little breeze (Like the flutter of a butterfly)

Summary: In which Izuku has a quirk considered "weak", but Izuku is also extremely intelligent, and knows that a simple screw can be the support of an entire large structure. Or, the story in which Izuku obtains a quirk related to the mixture of his parents: Inko can attract small things to herself, Hisashi can breathe fire from his mouth. The result? Izuku can control, in extremely small quantities, cold or hot air currents.

Facts: 1. For much of his childhood, Izuku was teased for not having a Quirk, as during his visit to the doctor, even though it was determined that he technically did have a Quirk, they couldn't figure out what it was. So people assume that Izuku either has a weak Quirk, or he doesn't have one at all.

1.1 His father abandoned him for the same reason, his mother stayed to support him.

1.2 Because they couldn't figure out what it was, there was a record that he had a Quirk but the box was never filled out. So, in the civil records, instead of being marked Quirkless, it just appears empty.

2. Since his mother stayed behind to support him, she taught Izuku how to control his Quirk (initially). Also, seeing during the first few years that Izuku would come home from school beaten up, and because she's a nurse, she taught him first aid and took care of preparing a small first aid kit for him for any emergency.

2.1 When they discovered Izuku's quirk, Inko was so happy for her son that she forgot to carry out the Quirk registration. This was when Izuku was 9 (not a late bloomer, they just never identified his power before).

3. When Izuku is ten years old, Inko is killed in a villain attack (she actually dies in the cave-in that occurs during the fight) and the heroes do nothing to help her or Izuku (when they find out). Izuku runs away from the police, angry at the heroes and determined to be better than them.

3.1 Being the clever little guy that he is, and for the convenience of the plot, he manages to hide his identity well: he temporarily dyes his hair (with washable paint), wears fake glasses, covers his freckles or paints on marks, among other ideas.

4. He goes to public libraries to learn. He watches parkour videos and starts training (he gets hurt a lot at first, but slowly learns). He also looks up martial arts fighting videos to learn how to fight. He eventually starts practicing gymnastics to become more elastic.

4.1 He originally tries to keep up with the school program he is supposed to follow, but because he is homeless, training on his own, has no money, and struggles to get food and live the day, he drops out.

4.2 He still teaches himself, but only subjects he finds relevant: improving his reading (so he can learn other subjects), English (potentially can help him pretend to be a foreigner if someone recognizes him), basic medicine (he remembers his mother's teachings), history (he became interested in the subject and it helps him with research). He will eventually learn advanced mathematics, so he can calculate how much wind power he will need for certain movements.

4.3 He still carries out his hero analysis, but instead of writing it down, since he doesn't have many resources, he stores it in his memory.

5. He uses his Quirk to help him with his stunts, he's a bit faster, can do more risky turns and jump a bit higher. He can also slightly withstand different temperatures (since he controls the temperature of the breeze).

5.1 Much of his practice is due to the fact that he needs to use his Quirk constantly to survive (running from dangerous guys or surviving the cold of the night). He uses his Quirk so often that he managed to slightly increase his power and incredibly his resistance using his Quirk.

5.2 When he exceeds the use of his Quirk, his head starts to hurt and he has trouble breathing, as if he were short of air.

5.3 He can eventually use the air currents to create a barrier between him and fire (it doesn't work as a constant shield, but as a temporary shield to move before receiving the blow). He can also eventually use the currents to create air bubbles around his head to resist underwater.

5.4 He uses the breezes to climb walls with parkour even if there is nowhere to grab.

6. His vigilante name is Breeze, as according to the people he saved, or the guys he stopped, he comes and goes like a breeze.

6.1 Due to suffering from Quirk discrimination (having no or weak one), Izuku doesn't like bullies, and always puts them in their place when he's Breeze.

6.1.1 He saved Shinsou, Monoma, and Toga. He talked to Monoma's parents (who didn't know their son was discriminated against) and they agreed to take care of Shinsou and Toga. Izuku later runs into Dabi, forcibly adopts him, and then gets Monoma's parents to adopt him as well.

6.2 He meets Eraserhead in his second year of being a vigilante, when he saved a girl trapped in a building about to collapse. Izuku uses his power in two approaches: running faster and pushing some falling debris out of his way.

6.3 Eraserhead tries to catch him (to bring him to Ingenium for adoption into their agency) until he realizes he's a child. He then starts bringing him food, helps him improve his fighting styles (good moves, but sloppy in several spots). He wants to gain his trust so he can help him. We're team Dadzawa here.

I actually remember doing this during the Long Hiatus!

Kim's is definitely acts of service. She is angry at Jimmy for switching Chuck's documents...but she's also clearly moved by his gesture. She would have broken up with him otherwise, but it just brings them closer. When they are on a break following the fallout from the commercial, Jimmy calls every day to sing to her answering machine. She's not ready to talk to him yet, but it's important to her that he makes a tangible effort at apologizing and demonstrates his willingness to be patient in a way that makes her laugh. He paints her toenails. He gets the Kettlemans backs for her. He is always doing stuff to show her how much he cares

Jimmy's is definitely words of affirmation. He desperately wants his brother to tell him he's proud of him. He wants people to express amazement at his cleverness. Unfortunately, this is something Kim has a hard time with. She will acts-of-service him all day long, but putting things into words is very difficult for her. This is part of the reason why Jimmy is so less secure in their relationship than Kim is - he's always asking for her to reassure him ("this guy? really?") but she struggles with giving that to him. That's why the office becomes such a huge deal to Jimmy because to him, sharing the office is like her saying "I'm proud to be seen with Jimmy McGill, whom I love"

Chuck values quality time. His whole EHS is an elaborate way to get Jimmy to spend time with him. After the death of his parents and his divorce (and probably the death of Hamlin Sr too), he feels very abandoned. However, he can't ask Jimmy to spend time with him because that would be too vulnerable and humiliating. So his brain made up a way for him to get what he needs from Jimmy without having to say that he loves him - it's just because of the dang EHS, not that he really wants Jimmy there every day

Howard's is acts of service. You can tell because he's constantly trying to do things for other people - he agrees to take the blame for shutting Jimmy out of HHM. He offers Jimmy a job to make up for it later. He pays off Kim's debt. He makes Cheryl a peace latte. It's so important to him for people to accept these acts because he's showing his love and care, but he sadly gets rejected a lot because he misreads which acts of service would be welcome and which are not helpful. No one does acts of service for him. Poor Howie. :(

Nacho wants gifts. In the end, he rejected the ill-gotten gains from the cartel...but I think he never stopped being a material girl at heart. He loves jewelry and nice clothes and expensive cars. Tragically he has to go out and take it for himself, but I think he would react really well to being showered with gifts. Maybe if Lalo put a ring on it, things would have turned out differently.

Lalo values acts of service. Nacho wins him over when he parkours to rescue the drugs from the trap house - the drugs themselves weren't worth a lot, but Nacho's willingness to put himself in danger to impress Lalo works really well on him. Nacho burning down Gus's restaurant really sealed the deal.

Mike definitely needs quality time. Yes, he's working to get money to support Kaylee...but actually, he's getting the money to support Kaylee to make sure that Stacey will still want him around. He doesn't feel worthy of spending quality time with either of them unless he's being a provider, which is very sad because Stacey and Kaylee enjoy time with him no matter what, but he can't see that

Gus also prizes quality time. He visits David for the pleasure of listening to him talk, enjoying basking in the presence of someone who can take the pressure off of him and let him be swept away by the dulcet sounds of neurodivergent infodumping.

AvM Ep 31 Spoilers

Just some commentary on various aspects of the new episode

So first, the episode in general - it was fun, looks like we're gonna be getting a more random one-off 4th season which I'm fine with, we get our plot and angst through AvA 6 XD I am somewhat curious if this is gonna be a full ten episodes or a shorter season like AvM 2 but either way having some random one-off things that are longer than the actual shorts is nice.

For the group as a whole, it's really nice to see them doing stuff like this again - and I can't help but compare it to the Cave Spider episode all that time ago. All of them have gotten so clever in their tactics, they're so much stronger and more skilled than they used to be! I did notice some individual stuff I wanna bring up of course but I had to mention how strong the group as a whole has gotten.

For Yellow - while they weren't competing, they're using the command block staff so well. I love how the flight from the Witch short was used (for some reason I love how they fly, it's so satisfying) and tbh I just love how they haven't stopped using the command blocks after all the dramatic stuff was over. Also - Yellow is the best at terraforming, Green might make awesome structures and art like that but Yellow is amazing at terraforming places, have you seen the backgrounds? Yellow built all that and it looks amazing.

For Orange - they've been getting back into the super-competitive spirit that everyone has, and considering the nature of this competition yeah they fought with each other but - at least from what I could tell from my first watch and the AVG reaction afterwards - they weren't more disruptive to the others than anyone else was, so I take that as a win. Appropriate levels of competitiveness.

For Red, SEE THEY'RE SUCH A QUICK THINKER I'm so proud of them in this episode, they were always the first to come up with whatever little strategies there were to gain ground, they had so many strategies that were so unique, they just did so well and I'm so happy for them. However their animals died and that is tragic :(

For Blue, they can be so vicious sometimes honestly, when they know it's a fun competition they go all out XD Explosives and all. I did find it interesting though that they seemed much more chill around Red - which is something that's shared in the Parkour episode a while back. They still compete obviously, but it's much less fast-paced and hostile than they are with the rest of them. Just finding that interesting.

3. my drive to and from this place i got a summer job at bc its in a beautiful area with lots of trees so the drive is very scenic and quaint and while i drive i get to listen to. green day

4. im the dynaballer but parkour warrior survivor on mcci has been a lot of fun for me lately.. even if the highest place i’ve ever gotten is 3rd, its very rewarding to see your improvement as you learn the different courses. very satisfying when you conplete a leap and the little jingle plays . ive been stressed i think so its a good stress reliever for me maybe

i have a ton of cave concepts for WC in my mind but just a mouse and a dream.. Regardless i'll try to explain some of them here: Dandori Caves are pretty self explanatory, same thing from 4 only now (some) dandori battles has them fighting two leaflings to be fair. Puzzle Caves are akin to the shrines seen in BotW but pikmin form. Requiring a deeper understanding of pikmin's mechanics, teaching new ones and creating clever solutions to progress with the pikmin given. Outside pikmin can't be taken in and if a pikmin were to die they will be replaced so the puzzle can be retried. Split caves have the captains all separated from one another and no way to reach each other's side. They have to throw and manage pikmin across gaps with each other or even push/pull levers and buttons for one another. Like maybe having to time tossing pikmin down to their teammate's floor to be caught safely on a lily pad.

Of course theres still just normal ol caves as well but i thought it be neat to conceptualize different types of caves

And as for all caves ill make in all parts of WC i want them all to feel completely unique so heres one of them for your time being a parkour centric one with the new freedom of the jetpack being under the spotlight

I've finally begun Patho Classic! So my first impressions are 1) Your impulse to stand around and look at the cows is very relatable 2) WHAT is this voice acting. Artemy has a British accent? "Don't you go all bossy on me, clever clogs." ???????? I know I'll get over it but it's really funny to me at the moment and I'm a little scared to hear what everyone else sounds like.

Thanks again for all the tips you wrote out earlier. I looked them over again and I have the maps printed out and ready to go. I'm only in the very beginning, just spoke to Notkin, Bad Grief, and the Olgimskys but it is just me or are there a lot fewer trash cans and dumpsters to loot than in P2? Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.

Kfhowjd the fun of P1 is discovering all the secrets stumble upon the obnoxious useful details the devs left your way and just gasp because oh god they really did that and you never noticed until now?? this could've saved you so much money/time!!

So I'll resist my urge to spoil you on every shortcut and secret mechanic that will make your life a little easier.

Trust me, it's so much fun to figure out on your own. You'll feel so smart and proud of yourself afterwards no matter how late it happens, because I sure did.

Honestly, the infamouse "pathologic long boring walks" don't even register with me anymore.

This is just the norm now, like I'm weirded out by other games where things are so close by?? What do you mean I don't have to go across the town at least thrice to finish one quest with mediocre rewards? Let me enjoy the scenery in peace while occasionally parkouring to evade the sentient plague clouds hurdling towards me!

I also used the time to curse the last person who spoke to me in the quest for treating me like their courier pigeon. Oh, the colourful names I've called each and every single leader in this town, the titles I've bestowed upon Alexander Cuckburov for being a gaint tree branch wedged into my urethra.

Also, oh man, do people love giving Daniil pistols, got two out of Alexander and one out of Andrey for FREE. didn't even have to scam the men like in the haruspex route, I just asked, and they handed them to me– you should never underestimate the powers of a well-dressed twink huh.

I hope you enjoy the game! and yeah the voice acting and accent choices are hilarious, I think it's more of a localisation creative choice? Because Artemy speaks in a British accent but uses Australian lingo and "mate" a lot. While Daniil speaks in an american accent but uses British lingo and phrases so much, he says "bloody" an unbelievable amount.

You'll witness Artemy use the word yapping in canon lore, that's fun.

So many things are hilarious, so much more cursing and abrasive language. Andrey tells you all about how last night orgy was disgusting, a couple npcs call Aglaya a bitch, Bad Grief uses cunt a couple times. There are so many funny instances that put P2 "oh sorry for my bad language" scene to shame.

Casual misogyny also, from your humble protagonists and other characters. If you think Yulia was mild mannered in P2 then just wait until you get to the scene where she literally talks shit about ALL the other women in the town to Daniil mere minutes after meeting him.

Daniil doesn't quote latin as much in P1, which is funny. It means it was an active choice to make him more obnoxious in P2.

One last thing, get into the habit of leaving stuff, especially herbs, in your lair drawer because the Haruspex has massive inventory management problems.

Minthara is more possessive with it, emphasis on the toxic part. The "masculinity" is basically drow femininity in her culture, which is why it comes so naturally to her. It's women who are expected to be dominated and in control.

Yulia, meanwhile, is someone who lives in a society where women are expected to be docile and submissive. A time period when wearing pants was seen as an outrageous act, borderline heresy. Even Aglaya, the most powerful woman, if not the person–in the whole town, still abides to the dress code, a modest long dress.

The town, especially the Kains, might have encouraged a "progressive no rules" style of living but that just translated to "dress slutier and still abide to gender roles" rather than deviate from social norms.

In P1 that is only made more important by the fact she is the ONLY woman character who wears pants in the entire town if not the entire game. P1 clearly being set in an older time period since in P2 you get more technology and progressive views as more and more women are seen wearing pants.

Not to mention her extremely short hair, she didn't have a bun in P1, only a pixie cut. P1 Yulia was a setting stone, unapologetically being herself in a town that burned women for being "demons" Her identity as butch as a whole wasn't noted in the Wikipedia for nothing. It was a different time. What seems normal and average to us now would've been seen as outrageous and drastic to that time period.

So a kink like that definitely hits a special spot in her brain where she is just done with society expectations. If people are horrified of her for what she is, then she might as well play on it and get some pleasure?

If they keep calling her a man for her clothes then why not go the whole way? She'll bed women and men alike and have them address her as sir, as daddy, as a husband.

Yulia is a gentlewoman still. She might not sit with her legs spreading like Andrey, but she'd love to have a pretty thing like you over her lap just as much as any man would.

And it adds a cheeky meaning to her idle dialogue phrase "A woman's nerves can only take so much" As she remains unaffected and collected in the face of great catastrophe.

Minthara would be want you to still refer to her with "Ma'am" and feminine terms while calling her strap a cock.

Yulia would rather you call her your daddy, use more masculine terms, albeit on the elegant side. She's never sleezy. She'd act like the perfect Victorian era husband, hold you by the waist, open the door for you, and have you underneath her in bed.

But she is no Daniil. She is still a fatalist at heart. Her home tends to be a mess. She tends to overthink and get lost in her own mind. She's an avid smoker and prefers to observe rather than take risks.

Things that are deemed "masculine" traits are just normal human traits in reality, anyone could develop them and Yulia refuses to be forced into a mould for femininity.

A world where the human experience is labeled as masculine and femininity is a constant performance, Yulia won't trim her edges and won't cover her blemished. She is a woman despite it all no matter what anyone says, she proudly owns her identity as she makes a joke out of these imaginary gender rules by playing around with masculine terms.

If you want a modern equivalent, think of modern butch lesbians who use He/Him pronouns and take testosterone. How other people feel like they have the right to police them or get outraged at them for... being themselves? Stupid people yes but they sadly make the majority.

That's how severe it is for her to wear pants and sport a manly short haircut as a noble aristocrat woman in the P1 time period.

If I wanted to explore the "toxic" part of the "toxic masculinity," then I see her using weapnised incompetence to get out of doing things she doesn't want whilst mansplaining things to you.

Deliberately using convoluted phrases and big words to make you pause and have to mull over her every sentence to make you feel smaller and less intelligent, so you'll just give up and agree with her.

See? Let your husband do the thinking. It's her job, after all. You just look pretty and go wash the dishes while she enjoys her drink.

She doesn't argue, that's the thing, she wins argument before the start by immediately conceading. She makes you feel like you're the one being emotional and overly sensitive, like you're the hysterical dramatic one that's yelling as she remains calm and civil.

It makes you feel bad even if you were in the right, Yulia knows that and it's why she does it, why she apologises immediately one sentence into the argument so you never get the chance to actually vent your frustration.

So she can claim you're simply too hormonal for your own good, that you need a strong logical masculine figure to keep you in check from your own emotions, and that happened to be her.

Basically, recycling that era's misogyny to use against you.

I'm too ambitious for my own good when it comes to projects. I have the perfect vision and I want to make it come true, its like I can clearly picture how I want each piece of writing to be, all the scenes to plan and all the characters to include.

Afterwards, it's actually time to act and work, and I exhaust all my energy while barely reaching 10% completion on my perfect vision, my magnum opus so far away.

This cycle repeats each time. I've learned to cut my losses and lower my requirements and standards a lot for what should be published or not. To set realistic expectations to what I could achieve.

Because in theory, I could make this vision into a reality, I have the skills and passion. But in practice? I don't have the energy, time or motivation since I know no matter how much I pour into it, only me and like 15 people total who care about patho x reader will ever ever see my post, only 7 will like it and only one or two will comment.

I looked over my bg3 fetish post and thought "pfft, I bet I can make this even better and bigger!" And I did.... for like 4 characters total before I burned out because damn.

It's so easy to talk about one character, study them and dissect them under a microscope, I could spin endless tales about Yulia or any single character from one prompt.

But. It's harder talking about multiple, especially when it's bordering double-digit territory. I have to switch prospective, get into different characters' mindsets, and keep track of their history and traits. It's headache inducing

It's like the difference between baking one big cake and baking many cupcakes, each with different flavours and difference recipes.

By the end you do get the same amount of cake technically but by god is the second one so much more exhausting.

That birthday post sucked the life out of me. I had to "educated guess" my way into what each character could possibly bring time after time after time and the result while satisfying and rich in essence, still remained a very condescended read, a short drabble.

A lot of times I cut Rubin last minute from healers requests because I gave my all spoons to Artemy and Daniil's part and now I have a headache and the idea of having to put myself into any new character's shoes makes me feel like throwing up.

Like a CPU capping the more tabs and programs you have open, Please god have mercy.

What makes this whole process more insulting is the fact there is no high after the pain to tank on yk? I know I'm throwing my writing to the ocean the second I post it, it will sink immediately to the seafloor and be lost forever.

60% of my notes rn are about the two memes I posted... two days ago while 25% is about memes I posted months ago, 10% is about my character study and 5% is about my x character writing.

SO I CAN'T EVEN GET ADDICTED. I can't even fuel my creative process with the dopamine of clicks and numbers going up! WAKE UP SQUIRREL ANON IT'S JUST ME AND YOU AND LIKE 2 OTHER NAMED ANONS PLUS 5 OTHER LURKERS IN HERE.

It's a labour of love. Each piece chips a piece of my soul with it. Yes, even the Oyun CBT snippet, which will get posted eventually.

I get nothing from this. I just genuinely really want it to exist so badly. It sucks to make, and it sucks to post, and it sucks to watch flop! But it's... god, for a moment in time, it's beautiful when I reread it after weeks and get hit directly in the heart by my own creation.

And sometimes, it's cathartic to make. Exhausting in a good way? Like the exhaustion after a good swim, the soreness after a party, the relief after finally throwing up as all the built-up despair from the dreadfull anticipation fizzles out.

And I still make mistakes and it's not perfect but it's mine. I'm still learning! I still discover new words to add to my vocabulary and then microdose into my works. New Idoms and descriptive phrases, I pause and think after every sentence to try and see if I could've phrases it better, If there are more fitting adjectives.

Yet typos still pass me by and at times I'm 90% certain I've posted literal gibberish and there is no way this collection of vaguely connected sentences actually tell a story.

But I still post it all the same because I've spent effort on it dammit. Burned or not you'll eat the damn cake! Plus after going to sleep and actually having a decent meal, I'm pleasantly surprised that I haven't shat the writing bed yet by posting gibberish and these words are actually coherent my god.

It's so easy to give into intuition after a while, to fall into a slump and sink deeper into your comfort zone of art. Creativity is a skill you train and with time you can put your brain on auto pilot while making art.

But that is a slippery slope my friend, getting too comfortable floating on the soothing ocean waves is as dangerous as flying directly into the sun. Next thing you know you're stuck in a tar pit at the deep oceanfloor after closing your eyes for a minute.

And the unkown becomes frightening again, and your ego is brittle and fragile, and you took your readers for granted and now you must humble yourself otherwise life and time will do it for you.

I fear the second to last part the most, taking my readers for granted. Taking every like, comment and anon for granted. I make it a point to thank each person who has ever commented on any of my fics on AO3, likewise I still thank people for their kind words and time on here no matter how redundant I sound.

You learn to not forget, to appreciate everything because nothing is ever mundane. We're real people, real humans interacting and sparing moments of our lives for each other. It's so easy to look at a "Great work!" comment notification on a screen and forget a whole person is behind it on the other end. To forgo the forest for the trees.

Which I'm thankful for your presence here, I'm thankful for the time you take to write down these asks, and I'm grateful for your sweet words because I rarely remember to offer them to myself.
