maybe I'm the only one but I never got why Vincent having a Y shaped autopsy scar is super commonin fanfics

like wouldn't Hojo just pull the bullet out and then do the rest of the experiments? why the assumption that he would need to cause that much damage? or am I missing some common medical knowledge here or something?

I don’t think the scar would be from retrieving the bullet. I think the more likely explanation is that it was made in the surgeries afterwards.

We know that Hojo performed the experiments that resulted in Vincent being able to transform into most of his limit break forms, and I imagine that this was done by implanting him with organs from a bunch of different sources.

Alternatively, it could have been made when Lucrecia infused Vincent with the Protomateria, since Dirge of Cerberus shows that it is located in his chest.

technically, stars are considered "alive" and "dead"! all stars "die" eventually because they run out of hydrogen gas, and big stars like the sun would become red giants when this happens. the phrase "like a dying star" is thrown around a lot for this reason. the larger a star is, the "shorter" its lifespan is, but smaller stars die out far less quickly.

see, it's actually for this reason that i consider stars something else--because even when a star quote unquote dies they're still AROUND, just as, like, a red giant, or a black hole, or a white dwarf. im not a hashtag star expert lol so i could be misunderstanding stuff, but when compared to how people tend to experience life, its like--once youre dead, youre dead, and you only get a short shot at being alive. even if the stuff that was once you goes on into other things (ex. a body decomposing), you arent alive, youre dead, because your consciousness very much Is Not There anymore, and you can only experience the world so long as you have a mind to make sense of it. even if you do say stars are 'alive' their lifespan is on such an incomprehensible level that alive/dead dichotomy isnt the most useful to understand them i feel. plus stars sort of just Are. they just are there, or they are there, but a little different, now. human concepts like 'alive' and 'dead' dont hold much meaning to a thing that Is. the sun isn't alive, it just is.

like, the fact that there are quotes around alive and dead here is like. could you point to certain stages in a star and call it alive or dead? yeah, probably! but stars dont work the same way humans do and thus experience the world like, wildly differently than humans would. which is what im exploring here. in the context of my fic, most people WOULD consider the collector alive, but he doesnt consider dead or alive to hold much meaning in regard to him. and like you can call something alive until the end of the day but that wont change the fact that the something themself doesnt at all connect to those words and understand their existence through that lens.

tho this is all just how im seeing and writing things lol. aint like theres one perfectly correct way. im just writing owl house fanfiction about the collector and to me, this is an interesting core for the story to explore.

Hello anon. I understand where you're coming from. But look mate, I usually make my posts in a hurry okay? I don't even wait to type anything― I just select a picture, make a post, that's it. Which means I don't even wait to see the tags I click on. Whatever is in front of me, I'll click it.

But that's not the only thing. I've seen and realised with time that people of tumblr are very particular about their tags indeed. They like to have specific tags for specific kinds of posts― especially if they have a universal account. My account, dear anon, might look universal, but it isn't. I'm not just here to solely express; my content requires me to reach to my target audience. So I use all the tags I can. And it's not like they're totally unrelated; sherliam does belong to yuumori fandom. I sincerely hope it's not a very big problem if you search for sherliam and see me posting about jack renfield or albert sipping wine. You're free to scroll past it.

I can't sit back and enter funny and precise tags, not because I'm incapable but because it's just not me. I am mostly never organized, it puts strain on me. Once I get out of this slump though, I might as well get back to my old ways where I did try to put my tags according to the post's content. But for now, kindly bear with me dear anon. Or don't.
