2. who was your first ever Blorbo, who was your childhood Blorbo, and are they still your Blorbo?

I didn't really have one as a kid. I think Xelloss might have actually been the first, and I still adore him! It's really a damn shame Slayers has basically faded to obscurity in English speaking countries, it was one of the biggest anime fandoms in the late 90s-early 2000s and now a lot of people tell me they 'can't bring themselves to watch' retro style animation like that. If the first two seasons of Slayers had come out now I guarantee Xelloss would have a HUGE fanbase and people would probably toxicship him with Bill Cipher because they're both shapes demony tricksters with insane power

Aww ty for giving appreciation to the little ghost blorbo! This is so long ago but Alma deserves some attention too so here you go! Random lore:

They don't remember what they were studying, but they died in the middle of working on their final year project :-(

Their favorite soda flavor is orange! (Though it's the soda that got them killed by the vending machine in the first place so not sure if it's their favorite anymore,,)

The little flower patch on their left shoulder is a black-eyed susan!

They love collecting sticky notes, receipts, movie tickets, random doodles and other such scraps students happen to leave around campus. They think it's fun little mementos of fleeting moments.

As for in-game lore:

Nowadays they spend their days wandering the entire building; they sneak into classes, look out for students pulling all-nighters on campus and generally just keep an eye out for trouble.

They do get bored often so they sometimes choose a person to follow around, like hanging around MC while they were doing their work without their knowledge. It's like people-watching but,,, up close. They leave if things get too personal though and find someone else instead and the cycle repeats.

Sadly they can't leave the campus building. :-(

Sorry it's not much, but Alma was a character I made so long ago I didn't have much lore on them. But asking questions help me flesh them out too! <3

1. who’s the Blorbo that you’ve never posted about on your blog?

Xelloss from Slayers! The Slayers series is still one of my favorites of all time, and I've loved Xelloss since his obnoxious ass first showed up in NEXT, being voiced by Akira Ishida. His English va is... unfortunate, but let's not discuss old Moo, because Xelloss immediately ticks so many boxes for me - incomprehensibly powerful demon who mostly uses his power (and terrifying reputation) to have fun and be a lil shit stirrer. Purple hair. I used to really have a thing for purple hair in anime guys. Akira Ishida's voice. A very polite and amiable facade covering the fact that he is THE most powerful ma-o under the five godlike lieutenants and the actual Demon-God they serve. No one wants to fuck with him if they don't have to, and other demons nope the fuck out when they realize who he is, but look at him

He chooses to be adorable and waste everyone's time by sending Lina and co on random idiotic side quests because he just enjoys watching them flounder about. He'll even get in on their shenanigans and let himself get captured and put in embarrassing situations even though he has literally no stake in the adventures he's tricked them into and could literally resolve them or leave at any second. There just something irresistible to me about nonhuman characters who could instantly turn everyone inside out by snapping their fingers but just have fun going along with human hijinks.

He does get his truly demonic moments that show you why he's so feared - like blotting out hundreds of legions of Golden Dragons from existence in the blink of an eye by lifting one finger and drawing a line across the horizon. The Golden Dragons are pretty close to gods themselves, even addressed with deep respect by Lina, and noble bastions of the forces of good in the world ((actually they're super sketchy)), and Xelloss committed a near total genocide of their race with that cute little smile on his face ((listen, listen...... it's hard to feel sorry for them)).

And despite how much he enjoys setting the Slayers up for all this shit, despite the fact that he is in fact there to keep tabs on them, and despite the fact that, yes, if he has to attack them or hinder them to make sure his master's orders are met he will, he very clearly likes Lina and the others quite a bit. He's a little bastard and I love him

Anyway yeah, I uhh like him a lot.

6. if you could talk to your Blorbo, what would you say to them?

To Reiner, I would say 'thank you for saving part of me,' and 'you're so much more than you realize, and I want to see you happy again.'

8. is your Blorbo an introvert or extrovert?

Reiner is an ambivert. He doesn't like prolonged solitude and in his quiet moods he prefers quiet companionship, because when he's by himself for long, his own inner voice becomes very loud and cruel. Post timeskip, though, he doesn't have the social battery for large group interactions that he used to, and and while he does enjoy being a group of friends, he gets worn out faster. He needs to be smooched on the forehead a lot.

12. do you talk to your family or in-real-life friends about your Blorbo?

god no 😂 I would never talk about fandom stuff with my family. My irl friends know I'm a freak for Reiner, but the thought of them reading this blog or my smut fics makes me want to scream and throw myself into the deepest ravine I can find. I don't fully get it myself, I know they've all read and watched and drawn and written more explicit stuff, but I just can't. I can't.

4. What were your hero characters like before being turned into Pokemon? What did they look like and how were their lives? Do they ever recover any of their memories?

I'll be honest, I haven't thought about this question all too much, so the content here is somewhat subject to change!

(Gonna be excluding Explorers hero in this discussion cause they technically have a canon backstory set in the future and I haven't delved much into that—other folks have though and it's a super neat train of thought!)

I think each of my PMD hero characters probably entered the Pokemon world at different ages; Arcas and Brooke probably got yoinked in the early-teens, but Reese being PSMD Hero is kiiiinda up in the air if we're going with the story's canon (in these doodles she's about the age of the other Serene Village kids though, if not just a little older!)

One funny idea I had for Arcas was just that he was a Team Skull delinquent, but his rather dry humor and lack of expressions probably didn't change that much after getting turned into a Pokemon. Likely got more and more scraps of his old memories back, but overall it doesn't bother him much!

Brooke remembers all of her old life (GTI Hero is actually the only protagonist out of the entire franchise that canonically doesn't have amnesia), and she does not miss it at all—getting turned into a Pokemon probably helped her if anything!

Reese unfortunately kinda ends up in the same boat as Explorers Hero; the game's plot gives them a set backstory that I haven't thought about too much—but I do think she gradually pieces more and more of her amnesia together! it's probably pretty bittersweet?

How is my best friend Arthur has he helped you baldur any gates

He’s been good! My washing machine broke last week and I hauled it out the other day in preparation for the new one and he’s been loving his new Top Secret Hiding Spot.

We are taking a little bit of a Baldur’s Gate break right now just because I was getting burnt out. We’re slowly making our way through Mass Effect Andromeda for the second time. I’m very excited to get back to BG3 tho.

I left off right at the start of Act 2. I’m playing a Githyanki monk named Ez’rai and spent way too much time coming up with a backstory for them. I’m going to be romancing Wyll this time. I think Ez’rai growing up in such a harsh culture that didn’t have room for soft romance will go together in such a fun and cute way with Wyll. A noble’s son who is just so sweet and romantic and good.
