okay so like, i absolutely love all of the representation we’re getting in g3 monster high. it’s fantastic and amazing and it’s so great that kids are growing up with shows like this. ESPECIALLY FRANKIE, like the fact that they’re non-binary and disabled And Still Present Pretty Fem is an amazing fantastic thing (a little part of me feels like it sort of perpetuates the idea that non-binary is just “diet women” and that amab people can’t be non-binary BUT THATS NOT THE POINT OF THIS POST)

okay well it is actually also a little bit part of the post because i was looking at fanart on here and now i wanna draw what an amab frankie might look like. how similar/different would they/could they be? could they look exactly the same just with a more typically “male” body type? i feel like that could have been a really cool thing to see (though it never would have happened because monster high is a “girls” thing and thus under capitalism boys are not allowed to like it, and if there were a masculine character in the lineup then there could be room for marketing towards boys)

In season 4, we get to meet some new fairies! Caligo Hawkeye, spymaster and sibling to the Fairy Councillor, and Elder Lightwing, grandmother to Sophie and Solaire

I love the outfits in the game, but wanted to modify some outfits to better fit my Rook (non-binary/rogue/Shadow Dragon/elf)! So here's my take on pre-game/starter, early-game, mid-game, late-game, and several casual outfits! (More drawings under the cut!)

Pre-game/start: Didn't change much here, but I added the red sash, which is all the rage in Minrathous, apparently (but this one is old and worn, and barely got any color left). Casual: I like that the companions' casual wear is their adventuring gear minus a layer or two, so I wanted to do the same for Rook. Early game: Based on the Minrathous Citizen Outfit (Tevinter colors), but with the same casual wear base as the early game, and slightly modified to keep the silhouette simpler (because I like the idea of the silhouette to grow more dramatic as the story progresses).

Mid-game: This one is a bit of a mix between the previous outfit, the canon casual wear for Shadow Dragon Rook, and the late-game outfit, with a simple breastplate thrown into the mix. I like to think they didn't switch out whole outfits at a time but added new elements and modified old ones. The silhouette is getting more interesting with the longer skirt-thing and unique bracers. Casual: Closest to canon, but the canon shirt seemed bad as an under-layer with the weird buckles or whatever by the inside of the bicep.

Late-game: Very inspired by Rebel's Mantle, both the version you get in the game and the one on page 207 in the artbook. I did want to keep some of the elements from the previous outfits, and I wanted it to feel more Minrathous/Shadow Dragon-esque. Casual: I love the tunic from Rebel's Mantle. And Harding's mom sent Rook some of those cool wooden slippers! Rook's feet are full of blisters and splinters, but they still wear them every day at the Light House.

So I was chatting with @sayohazawa about the latest Iruma-kun chapters, and she pointed out something very fun to me that a friend had pointed out to her. In chapter 375, we see Lied getting dressed up as Lindy, but then in 376, we see her in a completely different outfit with a completely different hairstyle.

So not only does she know how to do her own makeup and put in her own hair extensions, but she also has multiple hairstyles she likes AND owns multiple outfits for this (which can't possibly be Shakky's 'cuz she's a completely different size), and she must have been actively deliberating on how she wanted to dress up.

I had then pointed out some other fun details, namely how it was Lindy who suggested they do the mall date anyways. Gyari just told them to do what they want.

Just about no hesitation, not a thought of going home and getting changed, just diving directly into a mall date as cute girls.

They were even taking selfies to remember the occasion with!

They both need estrogen, but holy fucking shit, Lindy. Are we sure she HASN'T figured it out yet, or is she just sooooooooo close but not quite there yet?

Please note that I took most of my information from online, and I didn't personally read/ watch everything, so there may be some mistakes. Also, some of the not-canon characters are very likely aspec, but just not confirmed. And especially if they say/ do really obviously aro/ ace stuff, I wasn't sure if it's enough to put them in the "confirmed" category. (e.g. Saiki literally said he isn't attracted to anyone regardless of gender, and never wants to be in a relationship. But there are still people who doubt his aroace-ness. (And at this point I don't see how it could be anything but aphobia, to deny the mere possibility of him being aroace so vehemently lol.) )

Also: Sadly, I couldn't find good aro-allo characters except Claire/ Claude from "baker thief". There is tons of good a-spec representation in that book (also more side characters that I didn't mention here), but I couldn't really find any fan-art. So then I just slapped the entire book cover on the collage.

my favourite part of that dumbass anti woke list that came out a while ago is that it directly acknowledges that multiple characters (INCLUDING the player characters) in undertale and deltarune are nonbinary and use they/them - which is more than half of the fucking fans of the game do

ngl one thing that annoys me to this day is the fact that the anime uses he/him pronouns on pitou (and they/them, at least in the eng dub),

refers to him w masculine terms in general (pitou even refers to themselves stereotypically masculinity),

and yet, ppl STILL call pitou a girl and STILL use she/her on them, when literally neither of those things are used to refer to them, ever, by anybody.

the show/subtitles: “he, him, they, sir, etc.”

the fandom: “she, her, girl”
