May 5. -Mina has been quite worried about our dear friend Jonathan Harker. He departed for Transylvania some time ago on business and has not sent much in the way of word back save for a few recipes from the country.

We had a lovely time trying out said recipes ourselves, and it was a delicious dinner most agreeable, however lacking more word from our friend soured the mood and we retired early.

Lucy has been struck a fancy for one Arthur Holmwood, where that will take her we know not yet, however watching their awkward courtship is good evening entertainment.

I've taken to picking up my old bow again and using it for good practice and exercise. Mina and Lucy fear I should become an old maid with my masculine interests, however it has been a good while since I've been on a hunt, and I should like to catch my own dinner every now and again, especially with these new recipes Jonathan has been sending.

I should hope he journeys well and returns safely with a new business venture settled. It hasn't been all that long since he left yet his presence is missed all the same. I should see if any of our letters are to get through to him, Mina has been chomping at the bit for correspondence.

Regardless, all good things come to those with patience, so I suppose we'll have to wait for him to get settled before we receive much word. He did give us a rough idea of the itinerary before he left, so he should be arriving at the Count's Castle in the next few days at least.

I spotted a beautiful auburn doe while practicing this evening, her coat a vibrant scorching red but not unnaturally so. I should think Jonathan would've liked to see her had he been here.

Alas, I tire, and shall return to bed as I finish penning this latest entry.

Next Step: Research or editing my profile

I'm stuck. I technically should be in my lecture right now but I am struggling with my health, my illness is causing depression so I'm avoiding people right now.

I have an issue: What picture do I use for my profile and background? How long should I spend on presentation? I don't want people to think I am a bot, but each time I begin to brainstorm pictures I draw a blank. I could use a picture of my Jellycat Bat Gerald or Dave the Plant, but I feel that would be unprofessional. Then again how professional is this blog going to be. To be truthful with you, these thoughts are probably a way to avoid the research and article writing I know I need to do.

I have a plan. One of my modules, Writing for the Media, requires me to write two news articles for stories I have found myself. I've been thinking for weeks about what I could write or what stories I could find. Do I find a local story? Or go to another city? What is newsworthy? Looking into some of the stories written in the local paper, anything can be considered a story. One paper had an entire page dedicated to snogging so...

I decided I should probably write what I like to read and what I care about, so I have to take a step back and look into what I believe in.

On another note, Manchester United Women VS Paris St Germaine is today at 19.00, so I could write a post-match review (my first one ever) and post it here. I will try not to be biased, I support Man U but I think it will be an interesting game to report on, especially as it's United's first Champion League. I'm proud.
