summary: There is this one professor at Oxford that can explain physics theorems with help of POP culture. What happens when she uses Harry's music to explain one of the themes?

a/n: It took me definitely much more time than I anticipated... I hope I didn't butchered the theorem explanation in this fic (if so, make me aware, please).

“But, Dr YSN, the Higgs mechanism does not make sense?” said or rather asked the voice behind the recording phone.

“Syrup allegory did not help at all?” Dr YSN turned from the blackboard, looking directly at the asking student.

“I mean, I understand that when the Universe’s temperature cooled down the Higgs field condensed in all volume and scattered across it like a fog. But what and how and - ugh - why?” The student grew impatient and angry in her incomprehension.

“It’s okay, Lauren. I understand that this subject wasn’t the one you expected while choosing to study biology. And unfortunately it is important, it will help you connect quite a few dots while learning about cell division and bioprocesses. But going back to the Higgs problem.” Doctor cleared her throat and stood near her desk. One hand holding onto the oak surface, drumming her fingers in thought of how to help those young people.

“Dr YSN," interrupted her thought process some other student. "If the particles are getting stuck why not photons?” They connotated the allegory that Dr YSN wanted to primarily help them with understanding.

“It all comes to the mass of the particle, and just like you all know now - photons do not have mass. They are, according to quantum mechanics, a portion of energy. Yes?”

The whole room nodded their heads, suddenly remembering the lecture from just two days ago.

“Okay, now back to the Higgs problem. Do you guys have a favourite artist?”

The lecture room erupted with not so hushed whispers about who should tell the name of their idol. Doctor patiently waited for one of the young men to grow courage and speak up.

“Harry Styles?”

“Perfect!” Exclaimed lecturer. “Now, do we have people here that do not like Mr Styles’ music?”

On the screen overlooking more than enough of the lecture room could be seen a few of raised hands (a definite minority).

“Okay, listen carefully. We’re imagining it now."

Doctor strolled from behind her desk and moved forward as to be closer to her students.

"Let’s say that Mr Harry Styles’ music is our Higgs field. Can you do that? Amazing. Now, when he got his latest album out it spread around the world. Everyone liked it, right?"

Seeing some of the student nodding their heads, she exclaimed, "not right. You," she pointed at the student that previously raised their hands. "You all didn’t know. And that's why you are photons in our experiment. Photons, like we already relearned today, are without mass and in our example they are without love or interest in Mr Styles’ music. Everything is clear for now?”

After getting an approval of nodding heads, YN anyway moved to the blackboard and wrote:

mass = love for Mr Styles' music

photons = not-fans of Mr Styles' music

“Fantastic. Any particle that has some mass, so love for that music, will find itself stuck. You’re stuck because you love that music -” she pointed to the student that had said Harry’s name, “- so you listen to it, analyse and appreciate. The appreciation grows with love so the resistance grows with mass."

"All in all, the current love is the measure of appreciation. So?”

“The current mass of the particle is the measure of resistance that the Higgs field can withstand,” said almost everyone present in the room, making the doctor smile from ear to ear. She had already written it down on the board.

“Excuse me? If Harry’s music is the Higgs field then Harry alone is the Higgs particle - the God Particle, right?” Asked someone from the first row.

“That is correct. Excellent, Madeline! Now, you all understand the basics of the Higgs mechanism and field?”

scienceandharstyles I don't know how many of you know but my physics lecturer is literally the 'viral Higgs professor'. Today, after the lecture, she was kind enough to explain to me this awful mathematics (I hate maths) even though it was late (8:30 PM) and she had plans. I just thought I would post about it here (I have her consent for uploading this photo) to show how amazing she is.

scienceandharstyles ok, story time! 1) it was at this very cute cat cafe in Oxford, very close to my campus. they serve those beautiful coffee with drawn cats on the foam!! super cute! but back to the story, i was just petting one of the cats - Murphy - when i heard the bells. and I am super noisy and needed to know who entered the cafe

scienceandharstyles 2) i looked up and it was dr YSN (tiktoks higgs professor but i really don't like calling her that). when she saw me she just immediately walked up to me and asked if she could seat with me while she waited for her friend to arrive. i, of course, agreed (i literally love her).

scienceandharstyles 3) she then helped me with some of my work for uni (maths again...) and while explaining she was so attentive and asked about my day. she asked if i got the tickets for the concert i wanted (i didn't say it was for harry) and when I said I did, she was so happy for me!

scienceandharstyles 4) after about 30 minutes of talking someone else entered the cafe and, you guessed it, it was harry. what's more, he walked up to us because HE WAS THE FRIEND MY RPOFESSOR WAS WAITING FOR. he greeted her with a hug and introduced himself to me. i was so shocked i couldn't form a sentence. dr ysn helped me calm down and said a few words for me.

scienceandharstyles 5) they both then moved to the other table to actually enjoy their time together. but before that harry offered to take the photo with me but only if he could wear my hat!!!! yeah, it was a wild day

A/N: So my birthday is on April the 13th and I’m going to my favorite artist on Wednesday so I wanted to write a special fic for myself but I hope you all enjoy it as well. Much love from your home girl!

Birthday surprise

Your birthday was coming up and Chris knew you never really celebrated it because of multiple factors. When you did celebrate, a lot of people canceled and it was always just a let down and you couldn’t be let down if you never celebrated it.

But Chris was determined to make this one of your best birthdays yet. He knew your love for music and specially for Harry Styles, sometimes much to his dislike when jealousy took over but you always told him he was the only one for you and that was true. You loved Chris over the moon.

So when your birthday came up he had a lot of things planned, you didn’t know about. He knew you didn’t like surprises but this was very much a necessary evil and knew that it would be ten times better if it was kept as a surprise.

So today was your birthday and you were still sleeping peacefully from all the activities from the night before. He really made that night all about you and oh boy was that noticeable.

The sun shined on your skin when you got woken up lovingly. “Wake up sleepyhead.” Chris softly whispered with a smile on his face. You stirred a little and groaned, making Chris chuckle “Good morning birthday girl!” he told you and peppered your face with kisses, getting you fully awake and full with giggles. “Happy birthday!!!” he told you as he let his whole body fall on yours. The room was now filled with your giggles.

Once the laughter died down a little Chris looked at you with adoration and love in his eyes. “Good mornings sweetheart. Happy birthday.” He told you again, making you smile. “Good mornings handsome.” He smiled brightly and kissed you on your lips, making you sigh in the kiss.

“I made you breakfast for in bed.” he told you and hinted to the tray with pancakes, croissants, coffee, strawberries and watermelon on it and a bouquet of flowers. You smiled brightly and chuckled. You went with your hand through his bed hair and couldn’t wipe the smile of your face. “Thank you. I love you.” he smiled and placed another kiss on your lips. “And I you.”

Chris sat in front of you, both eating the breakfast. “So you ready for your presents, coffeebean?” he grinned at you. You smiled at the nickname and shook your head. “Chris, you didn’t have to.” He frowned at you. “What do you mean I didn’t have to? Today is the day that my favorite person was born and we have to celebrate!” You just smiled and knew that he didn’t let room for a discussion.

Apparently he had hidden the presents under the bed and took out a box and gave it to you with a smile. You looked up teasingly at him and started to unwrap the present. You saw the logo of Dr. Martens on the bed and quickly looked up in surprise at him. He just smiled and nudged you to continue. You opened the shoes and he got you limited editions boots that you absolutely adored.

You smiled so bright that your cheeks started to hurt. You wrapped your arms around Chris’s neck “Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love them.” Chris chuckled deeply. “I’m not done yet, thank me later baby girl. Get ready to be extremely spoiled today.” He smirked at you and your cheeks started to heat up.

He gave you the other presents and you were already very spoiled indeed. He gave you your favorite make-up but the knew ones you liked, new crystals and tarot cards with incense, a full self-care kit with almost everything in it that you can imagine like body mist, lotion, stuff for in the bath, moisturizers, serums, face mask and all the other stuff for your face etc. He also got you some perfume and a special necklace that showed the love that you two shared. You felt so spoiled already and hugged him tightly, thanking him multiple times. Chris chuckled deeply and softly rubbed your back.

No one really did this for you and you felt so special. You wiped the happy tears away and Chris smiled lovingly at you and kissed your nose while cupping your cheeks. “You mean the world to me Y/N, really! You changed my life for the better and you’re so special to me, I want you to feel how I feel for you. You deserve the world.” Your heart was doing leaps and you passionately kissed him with all the love you could show through the kiss.

“Go ahead and get ready princess. This was just the beginning.” He told you with a wink. You got curious and tried to fish “What are we going to do?” he smiled and shook his head. “You’ll see. Just get into some casual clothes.” He directed you and you got from the bed with a smile on your face.

It didn’t take you long before you got ready and found Chris downstairs. He got ready as well and held his keys in his hand. He smiled when he saw you coming down the stairs with sparks in his eyes. When you arrived downstairs he placed his arms around your waist and pressed a kiss on your cheek “You look good as always.” You smiled and felt treated like a princess. Normally it was just too much but you secretly loved this. “I love the shoes!” you told him while showing them off. He smiled brightly “Nobody looked better in those shoes than you do.” He told you with a big smile, making you feel flustered.

You both got into the car and Chris drove towards a Starbucks drive through, getting you your favorite iced coffee and obviously one for himself. After that he drove towards the mall and your curiosity got the best of you when you wondered what you were doing here.

He parked the car and held you hand in his while walking towards the mall. “What are we doing here?” you asked him chuckling. He turned around towards you and took both of your hands in his. “We’re going shopping. You are going to get all the things you want and I want you to enjoy yourself. You’re not paying for anything today.” You looked a little shocked.

“Oh Chris, I can’t do that!” he gave you a reassuring smile “Honey, listen to me. I know you’re not with me for my money so don’t worry about that. I have enough and I want you to feel like a princess today and well everyday actually but now extra. Make an exception for me please?” he tried to convince you. He knew that this was the hardest part of today, trying to convince you to get everything you wanted but he was determined.

“Okay but just today then!” you told him stern but couldn’t hide the smile. He held your hand and walked towards the store. Chris loved to go shopping with you and seeing you in new outfits and stuff so he never minded going with you.

At first you were very drawn back with it and Chris noticed so he slowly helped you with it, making sure you got exactly everything you wanted. He took you to your favorite clothing store and helped you searching for new outfits. You fitted everything and it was just perfect. You felt so carefree and that was exactly Chris was going for.

You felt a little ashamed when you got out of the store with 4 full bags of clothes but Chris didn’t looked bothered at all, actually he looked the complete the opposite and encouraged you to get more. He mostly dragged you into other stores, making you chuckle. It almost looked like he enjoyed this more than you did and you weren’t complaining at all.

You got new make-up and jewelry, candy and more clothes from other stores. Chris pulled you into a lingerie store. You chuckled and Chris had a big grin “Now let’s get down to business.” He told you, making you laugh. Luckily Chris had the same taste in things as you did so you knew that this was the place where the most damage was going to be. Chris looked around and pulled you towards the lingerie’s he liked. You both liked the same stuff and Chris just picked it up without looking at the price tag, making you laugh loudly. When you gathered a lot of sets inclusive some very sexy things, Chris started to pay and let’s just say that the owners were very happy with the two of you.

You felt so spoiled, nothing could tip this you though…. You got home with more bags than the both of you could actually hold. You placed everything on the bed and Chris walked up to you with the other bags placing them on the bed as well. He wrapped his arms around your waist and let his head rest on your shoulder. “You happy baby?” he asked you softly, kissing your cheek.

“Couldn’t be more happier. Thank you so much!” you turned around and placed your arms around his neck and pulled him down for a passionate kiss. He hummed in the kiss. “You know, maybe now is the right time to pull out some of that lingerie….” He told you, making you chuckle. “You think?” he nodded quickly and pulled him down again.

“What if I told you that I’m already wearing your favorite one?” you whispered in his ear and he growled, placing you on the bags on the bed, pushing the other bags away, never breaking the kiss. You chuckled as he quickly took your clothes off.

After another eventful and very passionate, heated session, you laid in his arms, going over his tattoos with your fingertip. He went with his hand over your hair. “Get dressed again baby girl. Put your new clothes on.” He told you and you looked surprised at him. “There’s more?” you stopped with tracing his tattoos and got a little out of the hug so you could take a good look at him. He smiled “Of course there’s more.” he told you. “Get dressed however you want, I’m going to take you to dinner but we’re going somewhere after so don’t dress up too fancy. He wiggled his eyebrows and once again you smiled so bright that your cheeks started to hurt.

You went through the bags while Chris placed his arm underneath his head so he could watch you. You put on some new lingerie, a nice black dress with was fancy but not too much. Underneath your new Dr. Martens and your new make-up and sprayed the perfume Chris got you. You walked up to Chris and gave him the necklace so he could put it on you.

He sat up straight and put the necklace on you. He got your hair out of the way and kissed your shoulder. “You look so extremely hot but also like the badass that you are.” He told you, making you feel flustered. “I don’t know if I can keep my hands away tonight baby girl.” He told you, placing a wetter kiss on your shoulder. “And you smell amazing.” The butterflies this man gave you was out of this world.

He softly placed his teeth into your flesh, teasingly. You squealed and turned away “Christopher!” you told him but couldn’t hide the smile. “You’re right, you’re right! We’ll do that later.” He told you while getting out of bed and playfully smacked your ass.

Chris asked your opinion about his outfit and helped him with his outfit. You couldn’t suppress the love you felt for him and it was noticeable on your face. Once he was done he sprayed some cologne and was done. You loved his cologne and just the way he smelled.

He called the cab and you both got in as he drove you to the restaurant. It was fancy but indeed not too fancy. You never really liked too fancy and that was one of the million reasons Chris liked you. You were happy with the smaller things. You felt like things that could be too fancy was always very uptight and didn’t really felt like it had character.

Anyways you got some good wine and the food was absolutely delicious. You and Chris flirted the entire time. The look he gave you with the smug smile on his face made the butterflies in your stomach go crazy. You softly rubbed your feet on his leg, making the smug smile on his face go bigger. He softly shook his head as he drank some of his beer. The look he gave you while looking at you from the glass just made you downright wet.

Once dessert came, they gave you the dessert you chose with those small fireworks in it as they sang for you. You felt so flustered and shy while Chris filmed the entire thing. Your cheeks heated up to an extreme level while you chuckled. After dessert Chris paid and you both walked put hand in hand.

All of a sudden he stopped you. “I got another surprise for you baby girl.” He told you and you frowned but smiled “Another one?” he chuckled “Yup, you’re going to love this one but I am going to have to blind fold you when we get into the cab.” You rose your eyebrows and chuckled “Okay….I’m just going to let it happen.” You told him, making him smile.

In the cab he carefully blindfolded you. The ride took about 20 minutes and Chris helped you out. His hands were on your arms. “You ready princess?” he asked you and you nodded eagerly. He chuckled and got the blindfold off. You blinked a couple of times. You were in front of a concert hall with a big poster of Harry Styles that was lit up.

You looked back at Chris in complete and utter shock. Chris smiled awaiting at you. “Really?” he nodded softly. “You like it?” you couldn’t believe it. “Wait really? We’re going to see Harry Styles???” Chris chuckled at your reaction and nodded again. “Yup. And we’re not alone..” he told you and turned around to some friends of you and Chris. You saw Sebastian, Scarlett, RDJ, Tom Holland, Zendaya and more people standing there.

You gasped audible and walked towards them. They all smiled brightly and wished you a very happy birthday while hugging them all tightly. They were all here for you and to celebrate it with you. You all walked inside. You hand in hand with Chris while catching up with everyone. You were led to the VIP section. You were never in the VIP section and you were excited as hell.

Once you all had drinks and stood on the spot, you hugged Chris, making him chuckle. You took pictures with everyone until the concert started. The lights went out and everyone went crazy. You noticed that some fans were taking pictures from all of you but you didn’t minded it one bit.

You were enjoying the show and you were very close to the stage. Chris stood behind you with his arms around you when Harry started talking. “So… A very dear friend of mine told me that there is someone in the crowed who’s celebrating her birthday today…” Your eyes went big but maybe he was talking about someone else, you thought.

“So Y/N, where are you? Can we get some lights on the VIP section?” he asked and the spotlights were on all of you. “There is the birthday girl! Why don’t you come up here for a second?” You were speechless and looked at Chris with big eyes. He smiled brightly at you and nudged you to go on. Security came your way and helped you to go to the stage. You kept looking back at Chris with the biggest smile on your face while everyone was filming.

Harry helped you on stage and pulled you into a hug. You were so starstruck, it wasn’t even normal. You felt shy yet were fangirling so hard. “How are you doing love?” he asked you with his arm around you. You chuckled a lot when he put the microphone in front of you. “I ehh starstruck? But good!” Harry laughed “You having a good day and night so far?” he asked you and you nodded excited “Yes very much so. This is the best birthday ever.” The crowed cheered and Harry started to sing happy birthday for you with the crowed.

Once again your cheeks were hurting from smiling so much. “Can I just say that you look great!” you felt flustered and giggled. Chris playfully rolled his eyes but felt a little jealous again. “What’s your favorite song sweetheart?” he asked you. “Well since you already sang golden, I’ll go for Kiwi.” You told him and he smiled brightly. “That’s a very good choice! Go and enjoy yourself Y/N!” He told you and giving you a final hug before security helped you to go back.

When you were back by Chris, he placed his arm around you. “This ones for you Y/N!” he told you and he started to sing Kiwi. You sang on the top of your lungs with a bright smile. You saw yourself on the screen and your friends were filming.

Once the concert was finished, Chris secretly bought you a shirt and sweater when he told you he was going to the toilet. He hid the stuff from you so he could give it to you later. You chatted with everyone still very high on energy when Chris came back to you.

Chris held you by your waist again and pulled you towards his chest. It was time to say goodbye and you hugged everyone, thanking them. You and Chris got back in the cab and towards your shared home. You felt yourself grow very tired and Chris knew that sex was off the table but didn’t minded it one bit. He was happy that you had such a blast today, achieving his goal. He rested your head on his shoulder in the cab, his arm around you and tucking you closer while placing kisses on your head.

“Did you have fun baby girl?” you looked up and smiled tiredly. “Yeah, very much! This really has been the best birthday ever because of you. Thank you so much.” You told him and he smiled lovingly. “Trust me, it was my pleasure sweetheart. You deserved it.” you smiled a little more while closing your eyes. “I love you so much Chris.” You felt his arms tightening around you. “I love you too princess. More than you could ever imagine.”

You got back home and you felt so fulfilled but very tired. You both walked up the stairs and you grabbed Chris’s shirt where you would sleep in and got the make-up off of you, putting some of your skin care on you, brushing your teeth and crawled into bed. Chris came back from downstairs and held something behind his back. “I got you something else, sweetheart.” You smiled again. “Chris this is too much.” He smiled lovingly and shook his head. “Nothing is too much for my best girl.” He sat on the side of the bed and gave you the shirt and the sweater.

You looked at it and back at Chris, who had adoration in his eyes. “Thank you so much! I love it. Thank you for this entire day! I can’t thank you enough.” He cupped your cheek and kissed you. “Seeing you smile is already enough for me princess.” He got also in bed next to you as he already got changed.

He took his shirt off and threw it to the side, pulling you down with him. “Get some sleep now baby. You deserve it.” He could feel you smile against his chest. “I love you.” he kissed the top of your head “I love you too baby girl.”

This was the best birthday ever and nothing could tip it.

In Another Fantasy (A Fantasy AU Collab)

Close your eyes and imagine your favorite fantasy universe, TV show, movie, anime, or otherwise. Did you do that? Good, how did that make you feel? Special? I bet it did. Now, imagine that you're there with your favorite anime character, and you could do, just about anything, from making potions in Hogwarts to walking along the streets of the Upper East Side, to traveling in a time machine that camouflages as a police box, to kissing Zuko in the fire nation, having sex in that secret sex cave where Jon Snow lost his virginity to Ygritte. Well, this collab is especially for you. <33

Artist!Harry Styles x reader part 2

Read part one here!

A/n: back by popular demand, here is part 2 of Art student!Harry because the last one was a cliffhanger angst and now it’s sad boi hours. Might do a part three might not. Depends how I'm feeling and how y’all are feeling.

Warnings: implied sex but I’m pretty sure that’s it.

“I wanna see!”

“No, it’s not done yet. I’m just starting your face, and you haven’t got nipples yet.”

‘“What’s taking so long?” I only have two.” Harry narrows his eyes at me, snorting at my joke in a humorless way.

This is true bliss. I’m laying in bed, topless, as my lover puts my portrait in oil. I want the moment to last forever and I would not trade it for anything in the world. I’m proud to be his muse.

Right now I’m framed between his white bed sheets where we had just spent an incredible night together. When we woke, Harry said he wanted to savor the moment forever and asked if I would sit for a piece for his personal collection. When inspiration hits, it’s like you’ve struck gold, and I wouldn’t dare take that away from him.

“I can paint nipples quite easy. Now hush.” Pulling his brush away from the canvas, Harry pulls his lower lip into his mouth and cinches his eyebrows simultaneously. He adds a few measured strokes before leaning back to look at the canvas entirely. His face relaxes in satisfaction as he plops the brush into the cup of paint water with a splash. Then, he picks up a small, pigment-stained cloth to clean his hands with. His smile remains stagnant as he surveys the canvas in front of him; I see his eyes flick up and down the length of the frame.

“You… are quite a difficult essence to capture, you know that?”

“Why? Because I’m ugly?” Harry lets out a hearty laugh before setting the cloth on his thigh.

“No. Because your eyes are perfect.”

“Oh, shut up.”

“I’m serious!” He defends, “Your eye color is so rich that it’s hard to mix up the right paints.” The compliment makes me smile bashfully. No one’s ever told me my eyes are pretty in such an intricate way before. From behind his canvas, Harry peers at me through full lashes, soaking in the joy of my reaction.

I can tell he’s thinking about something and just doesn’t want to say it. I’ll wait. I’ll wait until the end of time to hear what he has to say, so long as he stays by my side.

“You are so beautiful, Y/n Y/m/n.”

The memory makes my stomach churn in agonizing sadness. We were so happy and in love. I don’t hate past Y/n and Harry. I’m just extremely jealous of them.

Jealous because present Y/n and Harry haven’t spoken in a full week. That is, until...

“Oh, I didn’t know you would be here.” Harry keeps his eyes trained on the floor between us. I should hate him. I should be livid, fuming even. He’s the one who shattered my heart into a billion pieces by walking away.

But I don’t. And I’m not. And I hate myself for it.

“I always go to office hours on Tuesday.” He knows that. He knows I’m always at Tuesday office hours because he knows my schedule. “You don’t even have Dr. Morgan. You could’ve at least tried to be nondescript and gone to a professor that we actually share,” I say lamely. I thought me being an undergrad and him studying for an M.F.A would give us contrasting schedules but it didn’t. If anything, it gave us more time to see one another. We used to spend hours in the studio lab just working side by side. Giving each other feedback on our pieces, and laughing through paint fights before getting yelled at by whichever TA was supervising.

When I look down, I see Harry’s holding a brown moleskin journal in his right hand, and in his left, his usual coffee order.

“Is that a black iced coffee with a half packet of sugar?” Kind of a stupid question to ask. I don’t even care for the answer, I just crave the sound of his voice. The rasp of his vocal fry accompanies the deep timbre of his molasses like pacing. His voice is unlike any other that I’ve heard before, but even if it weren’t, I would still miss it just as much.

“It’s actually a full packet ‘cause you weren’t there to finish it and I felt bad about throwing it away,” he states softly while examining the cup much closer than he would if he could bring himself to look at me. Harry would always dump the excess in my cup just to mess with me. Then I’d pretend to be upset but secretly love it.

“Must be a bit sweeter than you wanted.”

“Yeah…”

Please just look at me. I will him silently. I miss the way his face wrinkles when he smiles. I miss running my hands through his hair as he laid in my lap. I miss him holding my hand while he drives. I miss all the little things, all the tiny gestures that made my heart skip a beat.

I miss you, Harry.

“Christ, Y/n can we just talk?”

“Please.”

“Not here. Come back to my place with me.” “H, I need to talk to Morgan. We can talk another time.” And all he does is nod softly, disappointedly. Does he miss me as much as I miss him? What if he’s been fine this entire time and I’m just a loser who can’t move on? Did he ever stop loving Camile?

Each question floods my brain with an even deeper sadness and tears of anguish begin to well up in my eyes. I’m praying he doesn’t notice, but he does. Of course he does.

Against my will the tears dive from my lash line onto the cool, tiled floor and Harry sets his journal and coffee on the display case next to us. He grabs onto the empty canvas I’m gripping as a way to silently ask my permission. I don’t turn away or hold on tighter which allows him to gently slip it from my fingers and set it on the case next to his belongings.

Harry’s always loved wholly and unabashedly, and even though we’re broken up, that hasn’t changed. He wraps one arm around my back and the other cradling my head in his large hand so he can pull me into a tight embrace.

“You looked like you could use a hug,” is all he says to explain his actions. He smells like the cedarwood, mint, and vanilla cologne that he knows is my favorite, which tells me just how non-accidental his ‘running into me’ really was. I’m too miserable to be mad, so I hug back twice as desperately.

“I missed you.”

Pairing: Peter Parker x Reader

Warning: Lies. Fuck ton of lies. So many lies. Lots of secrets. So many fucking secrets. Language. Violence. Slow Burn. Lots of fighting. Heartbreak. Death threats. Kidnapping. Murder.

Someone is coming for you and your son, Anthony. Too many secrets and too many enemies for you to count. You got out, for reasons. Secret reasons, only Clint Barton knows. Or so you think? Clint takes you back to the safest place there is, Avengers Tower. But how are you supposed to face Peter? Keep your secrets in check? Keep your feelings under wraps? It’s been almost two years, can you really keep it together? You just need to put an end to whoever wants you. Than walk away, like everything is the same, right? Or will you be the one surprised? Everything blows up, leaving you holding the shreds of your secrets and fear.

One of them has you by the back of the flannel, shoving you through the door of an abandon building. What looked to be an old bar, perhaps. You plant your feet on the old wood floor, refusing to go any farther. Your hands zip tied in front of you still.

The man shoves a little harder on you. Your elbow slams back, connecting with his nose. He tips forward, your connected hands smash down on his back, dropping him to the floor face down. You stomp down on his back as he cries out, your head tips.

“Ruptured disk? Fractured spine?” You smirk. “You’re going to need a hospital.” You shrug.

“My, my, the girl I’ve heard so much about.” A voice chuckles from somewhere farther in the building, covered in shadows.

“Apparently not enough.” You smirk, turning to face the voice. “You seriously underestimated me.” You shrug.

“See, that is my bad.” His voice humorous as he steps out of the shadows. Harry Osborn, looking a little more like an escaped mental patient than the pretty rich boy you knew from college. The boy Peter Parker had introduced you to as his best friend. “The girl I knew, she was just a pretty girl in a couple of classes, that my best friend and I would drool over.” He shrugs, a slightly psychotic grin on his lips. The hair on the back of your neck stands.

“Well you aren’t the pretty rich boy, who used to stare at my ass.” You shrug. “Guess people change.” This makes him laugh.

“But see you were always this. Secretly running around with Spider-Man,” he spits the word “saving the world. Taking what you fucking wanted and not caring about who died.” He growls, his features shifting into something darker, scarier, more unstable.

“I had nothing to do with your father and Peter.” You lift your chin.

“Ah but see.” He wags his finger with the psychotic grin once more. “You are the woman, Peter Parker loves.” His hands come out, waving looking more like a mentally unstable clown. “Little you, picked Parker. Of course you did. Peter gets everything.” Harry smirks, he begins pacing.

“He does?” Your head tips.

“The good life, the adoring father figure of Tony Stark.” He points out.

“I’m not sure you know Tony very well.” You shrug.

“The perfect, accident making him Spider-Man!” He cheers loudly. Oh fuck you were trapped in a building, in god knows where, with your own version of the damn Joker. You groan inwardly. “He got the girl. Oh and so much more.” He grins at you. You repress the shiver of fear that licks it’s way down your spine.

“More?” You ask, some how your voice manages to stay steady.

“That, bouncing, baby, boy.” He perks up, clapping between each word. “Little baby Parker.” He chuckles. “He got everything.” His grin drops, humor gone. Replaced with pure hate and darkness.

“He doesn’t even know about my son.” You lie.

Harry’s head tips, something cold and disturbed in his eyes. You take a repulsed step back, wondering if you could make a run for it. A hand lands on your shoulder, gripping tightly, making you wince. Apparently you weren’t exactly alone with the mental Harry, he had more than the three who grabbed you.

“But does he?” Harry wonders. Your mouth opens, but he cuts you off. “He’s a smart guy. Excels at math, science.” Harry nods, talking more to himself. Your head tips slowly to one side as you watch him slowly unravel. “He would have put it together. Age, birth date, it would all add up. He has to have put it together. You were in love.” He sighs, in a mushy, romantic type of way, before he laughs like a lunatic.

“But we weren’t Harry. I never knew Peter loved me.” You point out. Harry stiffens at this thought.

“He never told you?” He wonders.

“We were sneaking around. Just friends with benefits.” You shrug. “I wasn’t just sleeping with Peter.” You lie.

“But the baby.” He watches you. “He looks like Peter.” He points out. You shrug, but don’t speak. If he’s as unstable as he seems this was going to send him down the rabbit hole. Harry starts pacing again, a little quicker this time. “Ah, but Peter. He would know. He put it together. He had too.” He pauses looking at you, before he continues. “Mmm but she lies, trained to lie. Peter’s weak, his love makes him blind.” Harry nods, grinning. He rambles on, talking with his hands. “He wouldn’t know but he would know.” Harry nods. “He would know, he might not know, know, but he knows.” You were even starting to get lost trying to follow the rant. The guy holding you looks lost as well when you look over at him.

“Harry.” You smirk as he stops rambling looking over at you. “What if Peter isn’t the father?” You ask.

“But he is.” He grins.

“Peter wasn’t the only one I was sleeping with. I had a thing for brown hair and brown eyes.” You shrug one shoulder. “I never did a DNA test, anything is possible.” You point out.

“NO!” He bellows, you smirk. “No, no, no.” He begins pacing, ranting to himself again. “He’s the father. He is. Peter always gets everything. The family, I never got. The girl, I wanted.” Your head tips surprised by this. “The baby. Peter always gets what he wants.” Harry stomps his foot, suddenly bursting with anger. “But not anymore.” Harry turns slowly, that cold, psychotic grin spreads across his lips as his eyes land on you.

“Harry.” You swallow.

“He’s the reason the only one I loved is dead.” He chuckles, it makes your stomach flip. “I’ve waited a long time for payback.” Cold, unstable humor in his eyes. You smirk back, slipping the zip band holding your wrists. Harry looks startled. Your body turns, slamming your knee into the man’s gut, he stoops. You ram your knee into his nose, dropping him to the ground. You turn back to Harry, who’s looking nervous.

“Two can play that game, Harry Osborn.” You grin when Harry looks almost confused. “You’re the reason Peter Parker broke my heart.” You slip the flannel off, stepping over the body. “You’re the reason I had to have my son in secret.” You move slowly towards him. “I gave up my family, the man I love, loved someone else in front of me, I went into hiding. Because of you and your fucked up, crazy father.” You point at his chest. “Payback is a bitch and Harry, I’m a monster. Not some sweet girl from your class.” You grin.

“How did you end up with Peter?” Harry grins, there’s excitement in his face now.

“Do you really not know him? He’s not so sweet. I like the monster in him, the one he doesn’t show often.” A cocky smirk on your lips.

Things I write for!

Alright! So here is the list of things I write for. Keep in mind that I will write smut and sexual themes, but If I don’t think it fits or if there is something that makes me uncomfortable, I won’t write it. I will write AU’s, romantic and platonic. I do not write characterxcharacter or any OC’s. I will write for female, male and nb readers, just let me know in your request.

I have also added a list of AU’s and tropes I like to write but if you have one in mind that isn’t on here, don’t be afraid to include it! The characters in bold are ones that I especially love to write for.

ANIME:

Assassination Classroom- I’ll write for Asuno, Okano, Maehara, Itona, Kaede, Karma, Hazama, Mimura, Takebayashi, Justice, Kataoka, Nagisa, Hayami, Nakamura, Terasuka. Sugaya, Okajima, Yoshida, Muramatsu, Sugino, Kanzaki, Isogai, Fuwa, Kurro-Sensei, Irina, and Karasuma. Romantic, platonic, student/teacher/assassin reader is fine.

Attack on Titan- I’ll write for Armin, Eren, Hanji, Jean, Levi, Marco, and Mikasa. I don’t mind spoilers, so anything goes.

Fairy Tail- I’ll write for Cana, Elfman, Erza, Gajeel, Gray, Jellal, Juvia, Laxus, Loke/Leo, Levy, Lucy, Mirajane, Mystogan, Natsu, and Wendy(PLATONIC ONLY). I’ve read the entire manga so anything goes.

Free!- Just the main peeps; Makoto, Nagisa, Rei, Haru, Rin, and Souske. I haven’t watched any of it in a long time and I really don’t mind spoilers so anything goes.

Haikyuu!!- Everyone in Karasuno; everyone in Nekoma; Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Kyotani from Aoba johsai; Bokuto, Akaashi from Fukurodani; Ushijima, Tendo from Shiratorizawa. I have not seen season three and four so no spoilers please!

Hetalia- I’m not super into this anime anymore, but I’ll still write for it. I’ll write for anyone and I’ve seen everything so anything goes.

K-Project/K- I’ll write for anyone. I’ve also seen the whole thing so anything goes.

Kuroko no Basket- I will only write for the generation of Miracles. I haven’t seen anything past season one, but I don’t mind spoilers so anything goes.

Log Horizon- I will write for anyone. I have only seen season one so no spoilers please!

Magi- I will write for Alibaba, Morgiana, and Sinbad. I don’t mind spoilers, so anything goes.

My Hero Academia- I will write for Bakugou, Hagukure, Iida, Jiro, Kaminari, Kirishima, Midoriya, Mina, Momo, Ojiro, Sato, Sero, Shoji, Todoroki, Tokoyami, Tsuyu, Uraraka; Kendo, Monoma, Tetsutetsu; Shinso; Mirio, Nejire, Tamaki; All Might/Small Might, Eraserhead, Fat Gum, Hawks, Kamui Woods, Present Mic; Dabi, Shiguraki, Toga.
