the demons are telling me I should try Twitter again………it IS by far the platform where it’s easiest to interact with cast and crew, I’ve had some fun interactions with them there.

but I made my exit from Twitter very dramatic here.

and Twitter hurts my feelings and brings up bad memories. and it’s owned by you know who.

but. it was so fun for awhile.

idk maybe I’ll just post more think pieces on TikTok.

honestly i think it’s so interesting how the same thing has such different perceptions. like lately i’ve been watching british comedies from the era of “jiggle tv” (us teem, i know), where actresses were told not to wear a bra, so guys could ogle their tits. watching women deliberately put in low-cut and/or thin fabric cloths so their nipples could be seen.

go onto a discussion board about “the good life” or “to the manor born” and you’ll find a hoard of men debating between whether kendall or keith was sexiest, and who had the best boobs. i watch these shows thinking “please let her put a bra on, it must be so uncomfortable, it looks like a hot day for filming on-set.”

and now we’re supposed to wear bras, and it’s liberating to not do so. it’s not “giving men what they want” anymore, it’s the opposite. the same act apparently has such a different meaning, from being deliberately used to capture the male gaze to a way of casting it off.
