A bad bitch's guide to practical fashion
Hello! Just some realistic tips and tricks I've learned through living life to help me with some of my conditions while still slaying. Things I deal with that you may be able to relate to-
Anxiety, Adhd, Sensory Issues, Heavyset, Lite Eczema, Acne
Keep a spare change of clothes in your car/bag
Sometimes, I want to wear an outfit that's outside of my comfort zone. Maybe it's wearing something that shows off my curves more, or a fabric that I can barely tolerate. And I push myself out of my comfort zone to try something new! But sometimes I realize halfway through the day that if I don't change right this second, I will have a panic attack and die. Keeping a pair of SAFE clothes in your car/bag is always a good idea! I have sweats, a sweatshirt, and shorts in my car at all times. Also great if you are chaffing/having a bad skin day and need to change unexpectedly.
Buy clothes that fit you
I have this problem of always trying on things and thinking hmmm... maybe it'll fit in a year, once I start working out, loose some weight... NO! Clothes fit you, you aren't supposed to fit clothes! If you do loose some weight, then you get to go shopping again :) and buy more clothes. But you are shopping for present you right now, your beautiful, amazing, fashionable self.
Cut your tags/clothes up
I was told by my parents to not cut my tags, and I was always afraid to. But I'm telling you, you bought those clothes, these are yours, do whatever you want with what you own. Cut the tag if it'll make you feel better. If the arms are too tight cut a slit. On the same note, if you want to tie something shorter with a hair-tie, fucking do it! If it's not short enough crop it. I promise the clothes police won't come after you.
don't put up with terrible fabrics
Don't buy something if you know wearing it is going to be a chore b/c of the sensation. Also, here are some tips for some fabrics
leggings under jeans if you can tolerate leggings > jeans
fishnets under jeans w/ holes if fishnets > jeans
colorful sweatpants (neon green, orange, red, ect.) as a comfy fashion statement
a nice turtleneck under a t-shirt if turtleneck > shirt
long socks (men's section rocks) to avoid blisters on ankles
don't put up with terrible jewelry
I personally love jewelry, but can only keep some things on for so long.
try gloves instead of rings. you can make gloves out of fishnets/tights
try woven/braided bracelets that are not removable w/o scissors > metal clunky bracelets (anklets too)
try skin markers/henna > annoying hand jewelry
If you are trying to branch out but are self-conscious, try to find a safety jacket
just a jacket that you can slip on and off, something light, that you can zip up if you get self-conscious and will make you feel better, but something you can carry/tie around your waist if you are feeling yourself.
My makeup if I'm having bad acne/can't handle the feeling
Concealer- over redness
Body stick/blush- on eyes and cheeks, and nose
Vaseline/Chapstick on lips, can put Vaseline on eyelids for shine (can clog pores be careful)
Mascara
Takes like 15 minutes also if ur in a rush!
For my fellas with boobas who hate bras
here are alternatives!
Trans tape- havn't tried but have heard good things
Breast petals- personally they are expensive, so I mostly use bandaids. Always a toss up if you are going to rip up the nip. NOT FUN! DO NOT RECCOMEND! Only do so if you don't care about having scabs on the girls. Or are poor, like me, and have to use bandaids.
Just don't wear a bra. I mostly go for this option, I feel so free. Very gender affirming, love a bad-bitch who doesn't wear a bra. I save so much money. You have no idea. SO MUCH MONEY. I also love never feeling the pain of a bra, the idea of putting one on is so foreign to me now. I never realized how much pain I was in b4.
This is my advice for now, hope it helps! If you have anything to share pls feel free to! <3

got a biopsy done a couple weeks ago on my hand, and finally it has been confirmed that i have dishydrotic eczema. for years i’ve dealt with this condition that nobody has ever cared enough to test me for, but now i finally have an answer!! even though it’s not curable at least i can make a better treatment plan for myself knowing what i’m dealing with. if you have eczema (even better if it’s the same type as me), please share what you do to get relief from flare ups. i’ve tried so many different things over the years but am always looking for more ideas!!

s k i n c a r e
1. vanicream gentle facial cleanser for sensitive skin
$9-14 average
this face cleanser was like a miracle for me!!!! it’s really hard to find good facial cleansers for people with really dry and sensitive skin like mine due to eczema, but this one ticks all my boxes! it’s gentle, but still leaves my face feeling nice and clean!
2. cetaphil eczema restoraderm soothing moisturizer
$18-$25~
so this pretty pricey to me for a face moisturizer, but it is really is worth it. i was having the worst dry skin and eczema with flaky and dry skin on my face and after one night of using this i instantly saw results. so it’s definitely worth the money if you get eczema on your face!
3. chapstick total hydration soothing vanilla moisture
$ average around 7ish
a really good and solid chapstick. instantly made my lips feel sooo much better and kept them better! also good for small places on your face that are dry as well!
4. jasmine tea lip mask moisturizer
$12 on colourpop
Idk if this works or not. I bought it mainly for the packaging because it has uncle iroh on it. it’s really soft and feels good putting on though!!
m a k e u p
5. between the sheets super shock blush
$9 on colourpop
the best blush omggggg will never go back to powder !!!!! so soft and velvety !!! you just dab a little on your fingers and then tap tap tap and blend it onto your cheek wherever you want it!! can be super subtle or super prominent depending on how much you use. oof I love it so much
6. revolution golden bar eye shadow pallet
$6-$20~
my go to eye shadow pallet. like if you have green eyes these are some of the best daily colors for you!! i mainly use the three golds in the middle and the brown on the bottom for everyday looks
7. too faced triple scoop hyper-reflective highlighting pallet
$ i can’t find it new anywhere so i don’t think they sell it anymore :(
literally smells so good. all the colors look super good as well!! im pale (aka white) and even the brown highlighter is cute on me! great for matching highlighters with your outfits hehe
8. total temptation washable mascara
$8~
my favorite mascara ive tried. the brush is a perfect size, the application is great, and I love how it makes my lashes look!!!!
f r a n g r a n c e s
9. coach dreams sunset
$ averaging around 50 bucks, but the bigger the size the more $$
so i first got this in one of those little sample bottles you keep in your purse because I just could not help myself it smelled sooo gooodddd. and then my parents got me a big bottle for Christmas and I almost cried! I love this scent so much like I can’t even describe it tbh it’s just goodness~

So I have to tell you guys, despite constantly sharing travel content, for some reason beauty brands love reaching out to me. 😂
And interestingly enough, I tend to have folks comment on my skin and hair regimen, even in travel.
I’m a minimalist at best, and really only use 3 or 4 products for my hair and skin - which surprises people too, especially when I tell them which products I use topically.
.
But even for myself, I’m always surprised when people ask about my skin for instance, because believe it or not I used to have horrible, acne-prone skin and dark spots. I’ve since gotten that under control, but now I mainly deal with eczema and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. These are probably two of the most common skin-related issues faced by people of color.
.
When it comes to hair, I’ve always had long hair. But if you’ve followed me long enough, you’ll know I was always protective styling my own hair with natural twists. It was a drastic change when I decided to big chop over a year ago - one in which I’ve embraced since.
.
I have to say, travel has had a great impact on my skin and hair, for the good and the bad. At this point, I kind of just accept it for what it is.
So I guess I’m just curious to ask,

My eczema is really bad. Is there anything over the counter i can use thats stronger than the 1% hydrocortisone cream?
I'm gonna call my doctor and see if he'll call in the prescription strength cortisone cream since that's fixed me in the past when I was a teen and it got this bad. But it's a new doctor and when I was a teen I had to go in person and id really rather just call it in then make an appt wait a month with red itchy peeling face before I can finally get something to fix this

Vitamin D, often called the "sunshine vitamin," offers an array of benefits for your body's largest organ - your skin. Here are some key ways it helps keep your complexion in top shape:
Supports skin cell growth and repair: Vitamin D is involved in skin cell metabolism, growth, and repair. Adequate levels help your skin regenerate properly.
Boosts skin's immune function: Your skin acts as a barrier against infection, and vitamin D helps enhance this protective role by regulating skin immunity.
Fights inflammation: Many skin problems like acne, eczema, and psoriasis involve inflammation. Vitamin D has anti-inflammatory properties that may help calm irritated skin.
Protects against UV damage: While excess sun is damaging, vitamin D may offer some protection against UV radiation, helping prevent premature aging.
