Wouldn't you like to see something strange?
HI I know the new Halloween character isn't out yet but I needed an outlet for my excitement (Yes, I am unfortunately a Nightmare Before Christmas girlie) 💀 so please be advised that he may not be in character here, I'm just writing based on vibes! This is technically a twisted!Jack Skellington x Reader fic, but the Reader is basically playing a role similar as Sally from the film.
P.S. I want everyone to know that I busted out my drawing tablet to make this special border for him the same day he was first announced... Yeah...
Boo.
Tumblr media
On the nights with full moons, he liked to steal away to the Spiral Hill on the outskirts of town.
The outcrop of land overlooked a vast graveyard and field laden with pumpkins, perfuming the air with the crisp sweetness characteristic of autumn. Beyond it, uncharted territory. When he squinted into the darkness, he could make out the vague shapes of naked trees, their gnarled branches like fingers beckoning him to approach, whispering his name.
He draped his long, lithe legs over the hill, letting them hang in the frigid air. Spindly as he was, the wind easily blew them, knocking his legs around like the straw-stuffed limbs of a scarecrow. He kicked with the breeze, carefree as a child on a playground swing.
The moon stitched his pinstriped suit and tattered cravat with silver thread, touched his pointed crown at its highest points. Even the white ribbons ribbing his jacket and the pattern of bones tugged over his gloves seemed to glow under the celestial light. He liked the view, and the view seemed to like him, too.
Held in his skeletal hand was a single flower. He stroked a silken petal, then slipped another finger under it, plucking the petal free. The wind claimed it, setting it sailing off into the unknown.
He continued. A second, a third. So on and so forth, until the flower was left stripped down and barren, even robbed of its leaves.
He dropped the stem off the hill. The pumpkins below consumed it, and the once lovely flower’s body became one with the patch.
"I figured this is where you were."
He lowered his dark circular lenses. His bright eyes slid to the figure that had approached from behind, on feet so swift they hardly made a sound. They came in with the sweetness of deadly nightshade, the trace of a poisoning committed at midnight. "Not a lethal dose, just enough to knock the doctor out for a few hours," as they always said. "How else would I sneak out to see you?"
Dry, ghostly lips dashed with hatch marks pried into an open smile, both teeth and the gaps between them. Charming, in a crooked sort of way. "My dear. You've come."
You bent down. “If you don't mind, I'd like to join.”
“The spot beside me is always reserved for you.” He patted it, inviting you to take a seat.
"Such a gentleman." You sunk down, folding your hands in your lap. "And so handsome when you're brooding. You're terribly good at that."
He was, he was, especially silhouetted by the moon. The man was practically monochrome, but bathed in silver like this, his pale skin was less sickly and more ethereal. He almost appeared like a cruel angel in the light, descending to expunge evil.
"I'm not brooding," he pouted, "I'm dreaming."
“Dreaming." You reached out and tucked a strand of alabaster hair behind his ear. "Father says it’s a ridiculous, wild thing.”
"Ah, but that's what makes it so much thrilling. Life’s no fun without a good scare.”
His mouth quirked to one side, and his smile became off-kilter--as his ideas often were. "He'll bring us to ruin with his crazy, new-fangled thinking and flights of fancy," your father would complain. But you adored that about the boy. How spontaneous he was, how his curiosity was never-ending. He'd race about like a child, picking items up and sticking his face where it probably shouldn't go.
Full of life in this otherwise lifeless town.
"What's this? What's this?" he'd say. "I must know!"
"He's gone daffy," your father would declare.
"Mmm." You nodded absentmindedly, tracing your fingers along the shell of his ear and down to his arm. "What were you dreaming about today?"
He lifted his head, looking beyond the hill and to the woods. Not a word was exchanged. None had to be.
"The Hinterlands?" you whispered. "But we don't know what's out there. No ghoul or monster has ever ventured out that far."
"Then sounds like I'll be the first! They’ll put me down in the history books as a pioneer." His laughter brightened up the gloomy night. When he quieted, his gaze was solemn—more solemn than you'd ever witnessed him. "... Don't you wonder about what's out there? Stuff that's cold and fluffy and falls from the sky. Things that come in colors we haven't seen."
"Sometimes," you admitted quietly, "but those are just dreams. I don't chase them."
"Maybe you should. We should," he mused, fingers tucked under his chin. "I bet there's all sorts of things we've never even dreamed of, too. And wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”
"I would. I really, really would," you told him in a soothing tone. Trying to reassure him as much as you were yourself. "Let's not doing anything dangerous though. I sense something in the wind—tragedy at hand. I can't shake that feeling that something bad is around the bend if you tread that path."
You gingerly laid your hand over his. Behind tinted lenses, his eyes widened.
"Stay here with me," you begged. "We can be together. Gaze at the stars. Be safe in one another's arms."
“… Sweetness, I would love for nothing more than to have you and to hold you ‘til death do us part.” His voice fluttered like the brush of a falling leaf upon your cheek. He regarded you tenderly, locking his fingers with yours and squeezing. “But you know that’s not the kind of man I am.”
“Yes, you’re every flavor of foolish imaginable,” you replied, pressing your forehead against his, “and I love you for that.”
“As do I.” He brought his icy lips to the back of your hand. A chill spider-walked up your arm, and you shivered.
“Then…”
“That’s why I must depart one day.” He pushed his glasses up. You caught the tragic reflection of your face in his lenses. “Out there… something more awaits us. I’m sure of that. I intend to find it and revive our town, this season that’s gone stale.”
“I won’t stop you if you decide to go,” you murmured. “And I will count the days until you return to me.”
“I knew you’d understand.” His smile—now it was touched with sadness, the knowledge of soon parting ways. “Thank you, dearest.”
He stood slowly, drawing you up with him. Your feet followed, as if pulled along by a puppeteer. How in sync the two of you were, how nicely molded your bodies were to one another’s. Your joy melded under the watchful eye of the moon.
“Shall we share a dance? One for the road,” he crooned. An errant breeze tousled his pallid hair, his tattered coattails—but to you, he was fairest of them all. “Our last dance for a while.”
“Alright, let’s make this one count,” you chuckled, “so I can send you off on your travels with a smile.”
“Excellent 🎵” He slid a hand around your waist, guiding you to lean into him. “Let the merrymaking commence!!”
“Yes…!!”
The midnight waltz began.
He led you, step by step, and you trailed after. Movements easy and effortless, like two intertwining maple leaves, spinning and spiraling. Their partner, the center of their universe.
“It’s as plain anyone can see,” he breathed.
“We’re simply meant to be,” you returned.
They danced as if possessed or an enchantment was cast upon their footwear. The moment too sweet, too succulent, to relinquish so soon. They wanted to savor it, indulge in it—and each other.
For never was there a more perfect pair than the Pumpkin King and his consort.

ive made this post before but a good chunk of the dumb takes on this site (and irl, but especially on here) stem from laypeople assuming they are smarter than an entire field of research. it goes beyond the Dunning-Kruger Effect and starts veering into outright contempt for intellectualism. like, to use a specific example: there are people still talking about "poisoning AI training datasets" with Nightshade and its ilk three months into 2024 (as if the training datasets still need to be scraped and AI research companies hadn't immediately figured out how to defeat it by applying a 1% Gaussian blur within the first week). hearing someone parrot this talking point instantly lowers my opinion of them for two reasons: first, they just don't know what they're talking about and refuse to learn, but secondly... you really think that little of the developers behind these AI art models? you really think they would just throw up their hands and go "ah shucks guys, they started poisoning the datasets, time to pack it up". like at this point my brain automatically interprets 99% of AI art criticism as "i am so monumentally self-centered and egotistical i think i know more than every expert in this field despite refusing to do any research"

The Wonder Of Foraging
Tumblr media
Foraging is an ancient and magickal practice, allowing witches to deepen their bond with nature while gathering powerful herbs, plants, fungi and even bones for spells, potions, and rituals. This guide will help you safely and ethically harvest nature’s gifts while honoring the spirits of the land.
𖥞The Ethics of Foraging
Before you set out, follow these principles:
• Harvest Respectfully - Take only what you need, and never overharvest.
• Know Your Land - Learn the local laws and indigenous practices of the area.
• Ask Permission - Some witches seek permission from the plants or land spirits before harvesting.
• Leave No Trace - Avoid damaging the ecosystem and thank nature for its sacrifice.
𖥞Essential Foraging Tools
• A foraging basket or cloth bag
• A sharp knife or scissors for cutting herbs
• Gloves (for thorny or toxic plants)
• A field guide (or app) to identify plants and fungi
• A journal for noting magickal correspondences or general notes
𖥞Sacred Rituals & Offerings
• Thank the Spirits - Leave a small offering (water, crystals, trinkets, a song, or a prayer).
• Moon-Charged Foraging - Gather herbs under a full moon for extra potency.
• Wild Altar - Arrange collected items as an outdoor altar to honor nature.
𖥞Crafting with Your Foraged Finds
• Herbal Magick: Use dried herbs to dress candles or as offerings.
• Herbal Bundles: Dry herbs for smoke cleansing.
• Infused Oils: Steep plants in oil for anointing and spellwork.
• Herbal Incense: Crush dried herbs for loose incense burning on charcoal or craft your own cones/sticks.
• Tinctures & Teas: Brew magickal potions for healing and intention-setting.
• Spell Jars & Mojo Bags: Combine dried herbs with crystals and charms for long-lasting magic.
Tumblr media
𖥞Harvesting Herbs for Drying
• Timing Matters - Gather herbs in the morning after the dew has dried but before the sun is too hot.
• Lunar Harvesting - For extra magical potency, harvest under a full or waxing moon.
• Use Sharp Tools - Cut herbs with scissors or a boline to avoid damaging the plant.
𖥞Methods of Drying Herbs
Hanging Method (Best for Sturdy Herbs)
• Gather small bundles of herbs and tie them with twine.
• Hang upside down in a dry, dark, well-ventilated space.
• Avoid direct sunlight, which can weaken magical properties.
Drying time: 1-3 weeks.
Flat Drying (For Delicate Leaves & Flowers)
• Spread herbs in a single layer on a mesh screen, paper towel, or cloth.
• Keep in a dark, dry place with good airflow.
Drying time: 5-10 days.
Oven Drying (For Quick Drying)
• Set the oven to the lowest temperature (around 100-150°F or 38-65°C).
• Place herbs on a baking sheet and leave the oven door slightly open.
• Check every 10-15 minutes to prevent burning.
Drying time: 1-2 hours.
Dehydrator Method (Efficient & Even Drying)
• Place herbs in a dehydrator at a low setting (95-115°F or 35-46°C).
• Dry until leaves crumble easily.
Drying time: 4-12 hours, depending on the herb.
𖥞Storing Dried Herbs
• Glass Jars: Store herbs in airtight glass jars, preferably tinted to block light.
• Labeling: Always label with the herb name and date of drying.
• Cool, Dark Storage: Keep herbs away from sunlight and moisture.
• Energetic Cleansing: Charge dried herbs with moonlight or crystals before use.

𖥞Foraging Bones
Foraging for animal bones is a sacred practice that connects witches to nature, death cycles, and spirit work. Whether for divination, spellwork, or ancestral veneration, ethically collecting bones requires respect and knowledge.
Where to Find Bones:
• Forests & Woodlands - Look near animal trails, under trees, or in dry areas.
• Riverbanks & Lakeshores - Water can wash up bones over time.
• Fields & Deserts - Open areas may have sun-bleached remains.
• Roadsides & Farmland - Unfortunately, roadkill can be a source, but always ensure it is safe and legal to collect.
Ethical & Legal Considerations:
• Respect the Dead - Offer gratitude or a small offering when taking bones.
• Check Local Laws - Some areas prohibit collecting certain animal remains.
• Leave No Trace - Do not disturb entire ecosystems while searching.
Cleaning & Preparing Bones:
• Dry Cleaning - Brush off dirt and debris.
• Water Soaking - Soak in warm water to loosen soft tissue (never use bleach!).
• Hydrogen Peroxide Bath - Use 3% peroxide to whiten and disinfect bones.
• Sun Drying - Leave in the sun for a few days for natural purification.
Magickal Uses for Bones:
• Divination - Use small bones in casting (Osteomancy).
• Altars & Ancestral Work - Honor spirits with bone offerings.
• Talismans & Charms - Carry bones for protection and strength.
• Crafting Tools - Use bones for wands, runes, or ritual tools.
Foraging is an essential skill for a witch, as it deepens their connection with nature and provides access to fresh, potent ingredients for spells, potions, and rituals. Wild herbs, roots, and flowers carry strong natural energies that enhance magickal workings in ways store-bought materials cannot. Understanding the land and its seasonal growth also fosters self-sufficiency and sustainability, aligning a witch’s practice with the cycles of the Earth. Additionally, foraging strengthens intuition and knowledge of plant properties, ensuring safe and ethical use of nature’s offerings.
By embracing foraging as part of your craft, you not only strengthen your magickal practice but also develop a deep, sacred relationship with the land. You will discover that it to be its own spiritual practice, a communion with nature, and a fantastic way to spend your day. Happy foraging, witches!

You know how Greta Thunberg said "You have stolen our dreams"?
This is how I feel about Sam Altman and AI.
I was *robbed* of a future where AI is a cool tool, instead of yet another shiny, meaningless tech buzzword, and a shit feature that nobody wants to increase sales. Instead of something to help us better diagnose cancer, we are setting the planet on fire and completely disregarding anything Hayao Miyazaki has said about how he feels about AI, all just to see how we'd look as Studio Ghibli characters.
You see, I study AI. But I applied before the whole ChatGPT thing. At the time, OpenAI let a few select people prompt GPT-3. To generate YouTube titles and that sort of thing.
Back then, AI was mostly used for analytical purposes. To detect fires early, to help analyze protein folding, to develop new medication. And this was what drew me in.
When ChatGPT hit the scenes, I was genuinely excited for the potential of it. For the potential to make the internet more accessible, to be used for good.
Oh, how naïve I was back then.
Instead of that, AI is - in the best case scenario - used as yet another meaningless tech buzzword. It infests any product of any company that has nothing else to offer.
And that is the best case scenario. In the average case, instead of just being enshittification itself, it helps to accelerate enshittification by generating meaningless slop to poison search results, both in text and in picture form.
In the worst case scenario, AI is actively being used for harm. Used to generate nonconsensual imagery of people. Used as a tool for misinformation, for manipulating the public opinion, not only enshittifying the internet, but actively making it a worse, more hostile, more adverse place.
And that does not even touch on the issue of how training data is gathered, and the legal and ethical problems this raises, which, I hope, being on Tumblr, you're all well aware of by now. To any artist, I fully support you using nightshade to actively poison your work.
So yes. Despite being a student of AI, I am disgusted with what this field has become.
The following paragraphs are directed at anyone who has worked or currently works on any generative AI system:
You have stolen my dreams.
Not only have you stolen my dreams, you have plundered them for every dollar, every cent, against any moral or ethical code, in search of profits over everything.
You are going against every moral code that people should be committed to. But you don't care, as long as you can make a quick buck.
You don't care if Hayao Miyazaki has called generative AI "an insult to life itself". You just want to see yourself in the Studio Ghibli style, because to you, everything, even art, is something to be commoditized, to be mass-produced just so it can be instantly forgotten.
FUCK YOU AND THE MECHANICAL HORSE YOU RODE IN ON.

The Harvest Moon is the full Moon that occurs nearest to the autumnal equinox date (September 22, 2024). This means that either September or October’s full Moon may take on the name “Harvest Moon” instead of its traditional name. Similarly, the Hunter’s Moon is the first full Moon to follow the Harvest Moon, meaning it can occur in either October or November.
The Harvest Moon & the Hunter’s Moon are unique in that they are not directly related to this folklore or restricted to a single month. Instead, they are tied to an astronomical event: the autumnal equinox!
• October’s full Hunter Moon orbits closer to Earth than any of the other full Moons this year, making one of the four supermoons of 2024!  As the Moon drifts over the horizon around sunset, it may appear larger & more orange—how perfect for the fall season!
It is believed that this name originates from the fact that it was a signal for hunters to prepare for the upcoming cold winter by going hunting. This is because animals were beginning to fatten up in preparation for the winter season. Moreover, since fields had recently been cleared out under the Harvest Moon, hunters could easily spot deer & other animals that had come out to search for remaining scraps. Additionally, foxes & wolves would also come out to prey on these animals.

Samhain is about halfway between the autumnal equinox & winter solstice. It is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals along with Imbolc, Beltane, & Lughnasa. Historically it was widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland, & the Isle of Man.
Samhain is believed to have Celtic pagan origins &  some Neolithic passage tombs in Great Britain & Ireland are aligned with the sunrise at the time of Samhain. It is mentioned in the earliest Irish literature, from the 9th century & is associated with many important events in Irish mythology.
The early literature says great gatherings & feasts marked Samhain when the ancient burial mounds were open, which were seen as portals to the Otherworld. Some of the literature also associates Samhain with bonfires & sacrifices.
• According to Irish mythology, Samhain (like Beltane) was a time when the 'doorways' to the Otherworld opened, allowing supernatural beings and the souls of the dead to come into our world; while Beltane was a summer festival for the living, Samhain "was essentially a festival for the dead".
•The festival was not recorded in detail until the early modern era. It was when cattle were brought down from the summer pastures & livestock were slaughtered. Special bonfires were lit, which were deemed to have protective & cleansing powers.
At Samhain, the aos sí were appeased with offerings of food & drink to ensure the people & livestock survived the winter. The souls of dead kin were also thought to revisit their homes seeking hospitality & a place was set at the table for them during a meal. Divination was also a big part of the festival & often involved nuts & apples.
Mumming & guising were part of the festival from at least the early modern era, whereby people went door-to-door in costume, reciting verses in exchange for food. The costumes may have been a way of imitating & disguising oneself from the aos sí.
• In the late 19th century, John Rhys and James Frazer suggested it had been the "Celtic New Year", but that is disputed.
Some believe it is the time of The Goddess' mourning the death of The God until his rebirth at Yule. The Goddess' sadness can be seen in the shortening, darkening days & the arrival or cold weather.
Related festivals:
• Halloween( October 31st)-
In popular culture, the day has become a celebration of horror, being associated with the macabre and supernatural.
•One theory holds that many Halloween traditions were influenced by Celtic harvest festivals, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain, which are believed to have pagan roots. Some go further & suggest that Samhain may have been Christianized as All Hallow's Day, along with its eve, by the early Church. Other academics believe Halloween began solely as a Christian holiday, being the vigil of All Hallow's Day.
Popular Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (or the related guising & ghouling), attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins or turnips into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, divination games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories, & watching horror or Halloween-themed films
• Day of the Dead(November 1st-2nd)-
el Día de Muertos or el Día de los Muertos
The multi-day holiday involves family & friends gathering to pay respects & to remember friends & family members who have died. These celebrations can take a humorous tone, as celebrants remember amusing events & anecdotes about the departed. It is widely observed in Mexico, where it largely developed, and is also observed in other places, especially by people of Mexican heritage.
•The observance falls during the Christian period of Allhallowtide.
Traditions connected with the holiday include honoring the deceased using calaveras & marigold flowers known as cempazúchitl, building home altars called ofrendas with the favorite foods & beverages of the departed & visiting graves with these items as gifts for the deceased.
The celebration is not solely focused on the dead, as it is also common to give gifts to friends such as candy sugar skulls, to share traditional pan de muerto with family & friends, & to write light-hearted & often irreverent verses in the form of mock epitaphs dedicated to living friends & acquaintances, a literary form known as calaveras literarias.
Some argue that there are Indigenous Mexican or ancient Aztec influences that account for the custom & it has become a way to remember those forebears of Mexican culture.
• All Saint's Day(November 1st)-
Also known as All Hallows' Day or the Feast of All Saints is a Christian solemnity celebrated in honour of all the saints of the Church, whether they are known or unknown.

The always awesome @stratofall006 and I did an art/fic swap and I asked for Earthspark Bumblebee with a sparkling strapped to his chest. I was not disappointed to say the very least LOOK AT HIM!!!
Tumblr media
I was so inspired, in fact, I just had to write a short little something based on the image. Set sometime after Season 1 where Bee and Breakdown have had a bitlet and our beloved Scout is trying to teach his students. I couldn't think of a name for the bitty so just use your imagination.
---
"Kids, my optics are up here."
The five Terrans seated before him in their makeshift outdoor classroom all shrunk upon being called out, but Bumblebee was hardly angry even at the umpteenth interruption. He couldn't blame the kids for struggling to focus, as the tiny bundle strapped to his chest was taking up a sizable chunk of his own attention as well, and they were all struggling to return to the old routine now that he was no longer carrying. Most of his negative emotions were bound up in how delayed Optimus had been in informing him that Breakdown would be needed for a field mission today, leaving him to multitask between teaching and parenting with almost no forewarning...
"Sorry, Bee." Twitch apologized sincerely, big orange optics bringing a soft smile to his face as she tried not to look at the sparkling.
"We really are trying!" Thrash added just as emphatically, making his teacher chuckle in appreciation. If nothing else, their commitment meant a lot to him. The bitlet on his chassis stirred at his laughter, compelling him to look down as her tiny servos flexed for the sky and her stubby pedes kicked in amusement.
"She's just sooo cute!" Hashtag spoke up, saying what they were all thinking. Bumblebee couldn't deny he and Breakdown had produced one of the cutest bitlets he'd ever seen, and that in her harness said cuteness was on full display, rounded frame bouncing in the straps as her optics continued to look around her audience. He was about to try and redirect his class when Hashtag squealed once more at the adorable antics. "Look, she's sticking her tongue out!"
Blowing a messy raspberry for no particular reason, the bitlet quieted when he directed her stubby servo to her mouth, compelling the little one to nom on it. Trying to get the class back on track, the Scout turned teacher turned parent remembered where he'd been interrupted and got back to teaching.
"I know she's cute, but we've got a lot to get through today. Back on topic; the key to remaining undiscovered is to focus-"
"How precious, she's waving at me!" Nightshade interrupted as they clasped their servos together, once more bringing attention to the sparkling. Bumblebee couldn't deny the way they flapped their arms was beyond amusing, and he began to wonder just how on Earth he was supposed to get through his lesson as Nightshade returned the gesture with a polite wave of their claws. "Hello there, little one!"
"Kids-"
"She's waving at me now!" Jawbreaker gushed as the bitlet swapped arms to wave in his direction, compelling Bumblebee to sigh as he completely lost control once more. Not having the energy to keep this up much longer, he considered telling Optimus that unless he wanted the Terrans to fall even more behind on their training, the big bot would start planning to schedule a babysitter when he pulled bots for mission duty. He already knew Breakdown would be handling most of the sparkling related chores tonight...
A tiny sneeze against his chassis brought him out of his dissatisfied quiet, instincts compelling him to check over the sparkling even though he found she had merely had a tickle in her nose. To his students, however, each new action was the most adorable thing they'd ever seen. Their glowing optics told him that a sneeze was no exception.
"Oh my gosh, I got that on film! Let me share it to the group chat!" Hashtag proclaimed as she rapidly tapped away on her tablet, sharing the video with everyone in their circle as the group once more descended into chaos. Sighing as he briefly dipped into the background, the Scout offered a digit to his sparkling and allowed her to chew on it as his students all vied for her attention. Not having the energy to handle much more, he decided to cut his losses and accept that the lesson was done for the day.
"Alright, everyone, let's just... enjoy a day off for now. We'll take it from the top tomorrow." he announced over the din of five excited Terrans, who were now focused on going through the digital album of pictures and videos they'd put together of his sparklings short but precious existence. Not too put off by the chance for a well earned rest, he sat down on a broad stone and allowed the bitlet to continue nomming on his digit, glad that at least one bot was focused on him.

How much info do the autobots know about the terrans? and what were kilo and megs reactions to figuring out that jb wasn't a usual cybertronian sparkling?
Ratchet has thrown himself head first into research. If in the event he needs to provided medical care for the terrians he must know more about them.
Twitch since the beginning has been helpful and willing to help with research. Nightshade has been less willing, but they’d prefer to help with research rather then be the test subject.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s what Ratchet and the autobots know so far.
*Terrans are from earth and can be aquatic, they can swim And drink water. From what they know it’s all the Terrans need.
*They can gain an alt mode faster then normal cybertronian. It’s not clear how long they’d have to wait to get an alt mode but Ratchet theorized that it may be possible for them to get an alt mode immediately after birth if they do chose.
*They have no parents and instead imprint. They can imprint on both humans and cybertronians.
They are all still learning but Ratchet and the Terrans are determined to learn more about their origins.
It was apparent Jb wasn’t like any Normal sparkling, forge or other wise.
The first giveaway was Jb’s size. A sparkling when first born can fit in the palm of someone’s hand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even tho they are awake and aware they still need their parents protection until their armor thickens up at least. So they need to be small enough to still fit in the parents chest, only occasionally coming out to bond with the parents. (Here’s Elita with an itty bitty Hot rod.)
Tumblr media
Megatron on the noticed that Terrans have no emotional field. Which to him made Jb unreadable. Not to mention the other strange behaviors Jb showed, he also noticed the sparkling didn’t consume energon and didn’t want to have to force the sparkling to consume it. It seemed like a mess to deal with, so he suggested Jb be handed over to Starscream (because he has more experience with sparklings and close friends with Knockout. Star would look further into what was up with the little sparkling more thoroughly.) Kilo heard this and freaked out on him, it made Kilo very paranoid and Megatron had to regain his trust even after he swore he wouldn’t give Jb away to anyone.
Kilo had bonded with Jb just as deeply as he would have with his own blood Sparkling. Megatron upon spending more time with Jb did too, but still couldn’t read him.
