"baby, what if they don't like me?" he whispers, eyes wide with worry. you smile reassuringly, squeezing his hand. "they'll love you," you murmur, leading him inside. your parents greet him warmly, but he can't shake his nerves. during dinner, he fidgets, trying his best to make a good impression. afterward, you pull him aside, cupping his face gently. "you did great, hee," you say softly before leaning in to kiss him. he relaxes instantly, his arms wrapping around you. "thanks, angel," he whispers against your lips, a shy smile forming. "i needed that."

"what's the worse that can happen?" he whispers, his voice shaky. you smile, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. "nothing, so it'll be fine," you murmur, leading him inside. during dinner, jay sits beside you, his hand finding yours under the table, fingers entwining tightly. he engages in polite conversation, answering your parents' questions with a mix of charm and nerves. you can feel the tension in his grip. afterward, as you walk him to the door, you turn to face him, cupping his cheek. "you were perfect, jay," you whisper, leaning in to kiss him softly. he sighs in relief, resting his forehead against yours. "thanks, love," he whispers, a small smile appearing.

"ready?" you ask, and he nods confidently. as you introduce him to your parents, his charm instantly wins them over. he answers their questions with ease, laughing at their jokes and sharing stories. by the end of dinner, it feels like your parents have adopted him; they're already planning family outings with him included. later, as you both step outside, you turn to him with a grin. "they love you," you whisper, wrapping your arms around his neck. jake leans in, kissing you softly, "thanks, sweetheart,"

"time for you to get my last name, mrs. park," he teases, a mischievous glint in his eyes. you blush furiously, but before you can respond, he kisses you softly on the cheek, his hand gently cupping your face. "i'm serious, baby," he adds, his voice low and filled with affection.

"it's gonna be fine," he whispers, leaning in to kiss your forehead softly. as the door opens, he beams, his charm instantly winning them over. during dinner, he keeps sneaking glances at you, squeezing your hand under the table. when your parents leave the room, he pulls you close, pressing a quick kiss to your lips. "i told you it would be fine, my love," he murmurs, his eyes sparkling. later, as he helps clear the table, your mom pulls you aside and whispers, "he's a keeper." you can't help but smile, knowing she's right.

𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐖𝐎𝐍 jungwon squeezes your hand as you approach your parents' house, a confident smile on his face. "don't worry, i basically make every parent be in love with me," he whispers, making you giggle. the evening goes smoothly, jungwon charming your parents effortlessly with his respectful manners. as the night ends and you both step outside, he pulls you close, his eyes sparkling under the porch light. "see? told you, baby," he murmurs, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. you laugh softly, feeling warmth spread through you, and whisper back, "yeah, you're pretty amazing, my love." he grins, kissing you again.

𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐑𝐈𝐊𝐈 you were so nervous for the day, hoping that riki wouldn't mess up. surprisingly, riki seemed nervous for the first time, holding up two ties and asking, "this tie or this one?" finally deciding, he transformed during dinner, completely cool and charming, showing a side of him you never saw. your parents were impressed, laughing at his jokes and enjoying his company. as you got into the car afterward, he leaned over and kissed your cheek, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "piece of cake, babe. now you owe me that $50 you bet," he teased, making you roll your eyes and laugh, feeling relieved and proud of him.

Halloween prompts year 2 day 28

Thomas stared down at Bruce-no- Danny as he led him by the hand toward what he had dubbed as his "Secret Lair" which was just an old fall out shelter in the woods that had been well hidden and forgotten about. The door to it was old and still buried under years of dirt and plant growth, requiring Danny to phase them into it which made Thomas wonder how his grandson had found it in the first place.

Inside was surprisingly high tech. "You have a secret lair filled with all this equipment but don't have any weapons or armor?" Thomas asked, making mental preparations to fix that.

Danny sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck and explained his only allies were two other 14 year olds who were also untrained, unarmed, unarmored, and unsuper-powered which would explain why Danny was so excited to be working with an adult vigilante who at least knew what they were doing.

The kid didn't even mind when some of his more evil or harmful rogues "stopped showing up" thankfully no one would really question the reclusive Vlad Masters "going back to Wisconsin" only to never be seen again. No one saw much of him before coming to Amity Park, it made since he would become a hermit again once he had his fill of human interaction.

And if hes later found dead in his cheese castle? Well, the body had decomposed too much to really say what killed him. His will left everything to a Daniel James Fenton/Daniel James Masters which visibly infuriated Danny. Thomas mentally patted himself on the back. It was a good call to get rid of that one. The will was a surprise, though one that can only benefit Thomas in his crusade of protecting his grandson. Its not like he can return to a timeline that no longer exists anyway.

Unfortunately this doesn't stop the bats from hearing about "Batman" operating in a city in Illinois for the past few months...

I will never understand the obsession with making tims favourite robin Jason when it couldn't be more painfully obvious that tims favourite robin was Dick

Like people are so caught up in the concept, the made up angst, that tims favourite robin beat him up that they straight up misunderstand how much more significant Tim and Dicks relationship is not to mention the added layers of Tim originally being created as the ultimate self insert character which for a good number of readers meant they grew up with Dick as their favourite robin and didn't really like Jason just for not being Dick

They actually took the BEST male love interest in all of the Bridgerton universe and made him into a woman destroying both his and Francesca's characters and arcs going forward.... Like I'm sorry but the gender roles Michael and Francesca have are integral to their story... The infertility, Michael inheriting all of John's estate and title....and the guilt that comes with it. They even give him John's old clothes to wear

I have seen a few DCxMarvel dimension travel fics, and quite a few of them are of them are Peter Parker post-blip. Which gives me a crack fic idea: everyone who got snapped ended up in the DC universe. Yes, all of them.

The current world population is around eight billion, so half of that would be 4 billion... Yeah that would cause so so so many problems. But the DC universe is used to crazy shit.

Obviously there would be a sudden influx of "new" heroes and villains but with absolutely no context it is hard to figure out who is who.

Batman immediately trying to make contingency plans for all these new heroes and villains as well as figure out their civilian identities but this is very difficult because literally no records exist yet.

Magic users from both worlds team up, but I think they were still unable to fix it, the infinity stones were just too powerful. Also I think Dr. Strange and Constantine can't stand each other.

While I am at it, Wonder Woman and Loki would probably hate each other too. DC is more Greek but it has had their own version of Norse mythology, so maybe they are the same and have beef?

They would struggle to feed and house that many new people, but getting them jobs and integrating them into society would be hard too. And good luck proving anything anyone says. "You swear you have a law degree from Harvard? Okay I guess."

Do doubles exist? Yeah a lot of people probably don't have an alternate universe double, but it stands to reason some do. How do you deal with having a new kind-of twin? Or a dead friend or relative coming back, but different? Or even someone you never knew/doesn't exist in this world insisting they are family.

Some au double ideas I have seen people toss around are: Dick Grayson as Richard Parker, Kara Danvers as Carol Danvers, Steve Trevor as Steve Rogers, and Slade Wilson as/being somehow related to Wade Wilson, but I am sure there are other fun ideas out there too.

The snap didn't just affect humans/earth! So other planets are having the same problems.

Then randomly, five years later, just when people were getting used to the change, they all disappear again without warning. This causes as many problems as the original appearance did.
