Because I honestly just dislike crossovers of any kind. It's been a thing for me in every fandom I've ever been in. Not for me 🤷‍♂️

What would have made you like it?

Yeah, given the whole I don't enjoy crossovers thing, there probably isn't anything that would make me like it.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

Sure! I can totally understand how people started doing crossovers between miraculous and DC. I've seen some of miraculous (I'm just really really terrible at watching TV) and I think the characters are really amazing, and the way the world would blend with the DC universe has a lot of potential for interesting stories. I honestly don't even have anything negative to say about it, it's just not my thing.

What made you ship it?

I think it was another one that the person who suggested jayroy suggested to me? And then also everything that was ever written by Ididloveyou_once.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

ugh I love the enemies to friends to lovers. Also the sunshine one and the stoic one trope. And also, because I'm me, I love the tragedy of it. I just adore the whole thing where Kon sacrifices himself and Tim tries to get him back and ends up giving up because it's for the best and then he gets him back anyways but nothing is the same because Kon's death was something that happened to Tim. But Kon loves him anyways because he's still Tim and 😭😭😭 I'm making myself emotional. Alexa, play Hyacinthus by Aidoneus. (everyone fucking listen to that song or at least read the lyrics if you ship Timkon okay? @ me when you cry)

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Not necessarily. But I have an opinion that I don't see discussed a lot which is that I think Kon would feel really, really conflicted about the cloning thing. It's important to point out that this idea DOES NOT WORK in most fics where Timkon is endgame, so I get why it doesn't come up a lot, but like. he'd be so offended because if it had worked, that clone was going to be an individual person, not a copy of him. And after everything he's been through in regards to his identity, Tim should understand that. He should have known that. But also, he can't even really be mad because 1) Tim didn't actually go through with it, and 2) Tim was literally not in his right mind at the time. But I also think Kon is the kind of person who wouldn't be able to rationalize his anger away successfully, so I feel like he'd end up leaping down Tim's throat a lot of the time instead of just being angry at him, because even with all of his feelings about it, he's not just going to quit on Tim. I don't know, I just think it would be really deeply upsetting if anyone ever told Kon more than "Tim tried to bring you back to life." It would put a really heavy strain on their relationship.

Yeah honestly, Timkon is my number one ship right after Jaytim. I love them so much. I have so many thoughts about them and also a few fic ideas rotting in my drafts that maybe I'll post someday (but probably not cause then I'll have to stop looking at jaytim for five seconds)

Hi hello! Life update regarding fics!

I know it’s been awhile since I have updated by stories or posted new projects, so here is what’s been happening and why I haven’t written as much. I suffered some major health problems starting in November and am still on the road to recovery. This has impacted my physical and mental capacity to write. Know that I am on the mend and have a great team of specialist helping me navigate my chronic illness. With that being said below I’ll go through each project and give you guys a status update on when I expect to be posting again! :)

Freshly Mowed Grass and New Parchment- not going to lie, I am disappointed in myself

Res Ipsa Loquitur- I know. I know. You want the epilogues to this story. I also want the epilogues to this story. However, I did lose my Og beta TigerAndDaisy and because of that it’s been hard for me to continue. We didn’t have a falling out and are still good friends. She also has a lot going on in her life and needed to take a step back, which I can totally respect and am so proud of her for doing so. But just because there is no beta right now, doesn’t mean I gave up. My New Year’s resolution is to outline, write, and start posting the epilogues by March 2023. 🤗

Freshly Mowed Grass And New Parchment- Not gonna lie, I am disappointed in myself for not revisiting this story sooner. 😔I even had someone from Tiktok reach out and ask to help me plot out where I want the fic to go. I think we got some headway, but then life happened and I have at been able to sit down and properly go through this fic. BUT EVENTUALLY I will pick this story back up. Right now it is to remain on Hiatus until I can decide how the plot should fully unfold.

!New fic alert! But We Always Come Back Around - So, fun fact, I do write for other fandoms besides HP and Dramione. Starting January 13th, I’ll be posting my Miraculous Ladybug Big Bang fic, which features aged up characters, angst, fluff, smut, drama, and… why does Marinette disappear for five years only to return to Paris with a blond toddler? 😏

Reylo fic- Begin Again - I honestly don’t know where this fic stands at this point. I’ve tried reaching out to my co-author in the past but she’s got a lot going on and hasn’t really had time to sit down and write. I think I might have to accept this fic will never be finished. 🤷‍♀️

Companion fic in Narcissa’s perspective- Acta Non Verba - Once I finish RIL, I plan on going back through and finishing this one. It just requires a lot of review to make sure things from Narcissa’s POV add up to Draco’s reality. 😅If I finish and post the Epilogues by March 2023, then you can expect this to start posting end of May 2023.

Companion Fic- Omnia Vincit Amor - This is also a companion story to Res Ipsa Loquitur and will be Ron/Aurora’s love story. It’s going to take place a year after the battle of Hogwarts and will feature flashbacks. Expect this story to start posting August 2023. 🥰

Update and Upcoming Projects~

Hello, hello~! It’s been so long since I last made an update, haven’t I? O: Anyways, I just wanna say that it’s now been 1 month since I've been living in Texas and so far, there have been a few ups and downs. First off, I’m living off the countryside, so you can guess what creatures I’d been running into lately. XP Secondly, I still wanna say that I am very sorry if I've been acting slow or been inactive lately. Lots of work to do in and around the house.

As for artwork and other projects, I just wanna say that as always, I am taking my time doing them as much as possible. Thankfully since my BF now has a new job working Mondays-Fridays, I’ll have all the free time to take care of myself. :) Speaking of taking care of myself, I had to back away from a few areas that were making me out to be a toxic and shitty person. ^^; One of them unfortunately being the Miraculous Ladybug fandom. More on that later.

All in all, while yes I may still be slow, I will be also working on a few projects here and there. My goal this spring/summer is to actually get back on track and be more active on every social media I have. Even if it’s something pretentious like Twitter, but that’s where I share my art, so what’s the damage there besides politics? =P I’d often been meaning to focus more on original content instead of fanmade stuff since I wanna learn to expand myself a little out there with my own creativity and see what I can bring to the table.

And now onto Miraculous Ladybug…

I figured that now is the time I go on an indefinite hiatus from it. I’m really sorry to anyone who has followed or watched me only for Miraculous-related content, but as of now, I don’t know how much longer I can take from it. The fandom has caused more harm than good with rabid Love Square shippers, character bashing, and not to mention,

an actual fucking su**de!

Yeah as you can say, it really did fuck a lot of people, including me. Once I get down to finishing S4, that’s when I will call it quits for now.

“But wait, what about your @pro-bee-sisters blogs and your AUs and fics?”

Those will not be canceled thankfully, but they will either be also on hiatus or still be a WIP. It honestly depends how my schedule and my day goes. In fact, I still plan on doing fanwork for the show since I have a lot of ideas for it, but for now, I’m gonna have to take a break from the show until the fandom either A; learns to chill the fuck down (Highly doubtful, but still) or B; begins to die down slowly as possible

I do, however, have three posts I wanna post ASAP. Two of this blog and one on Bee Sisters.

As I said before in my old post, something asked me a very personal question regarding me on Discord and it was extremely shitty of them to do. I’m not usually one to call out people online unless they’re a dangerous threat (i.e. PAAITB is a good example), but what this person did to me was absolutely unacceptable and rude as fuck; and I will not tolerate it.

Therefore, that is gonna be my only rule for now on. If anyone else breaks that rule, I will permanently close all asks.

That ask about the Instagram edit with Nino and Luka had me thinking, and I’m genuinely curious about why some fans are praising Luka for his mistake while simultaneously bashing Marinette, Alya, and Nino for their own identity related decisions. I’ve seen handfuls of posts placing Luka in a pedestal and raving about how he “knows how to keep his mouth shut”, and how that makes him more trustworthy than anyone, even though that’s not at all how trust works! I’ve seen that one post regarding Marinette’s comparison to Luka, and the post for Nino too, so I’ll leave those, but one I haven’t see anyone bring up is how people are trying to compare Alya and Luka’s predicaments.

Narratively, Luka’s situation is VERY different from Alya. Alya is a permanent Miraculous chosen who was being forced by the status quo to lie to the people she loves, and was expected to risk or potentially sacrifice said relationships in the name of Rena Furtive. Not agreeing with the set precedent, Alya tells Nino the truth, and it’s framed as a good thing! Of course, there will be a brief period of strain on Alyanette’s friendship because of it, but ultimately it will lead to some sort of beneficial resolution, likely in the form of Ladynoir finding solid ground again and being more transparent with one another.

Luka, on the other hand, found out about Ladynoir’s identities and doesn’t tell Ladybug the truth when she asks if he knows, and this scene is framed to be an “uh oh” moment. Luka has a good heart and only wants Marinette to be happy and free of anymore stress (also, I agree with your take on Luka’s thought process; I’d like to see if there was more to his decision than just Marinette’s stress), but this decision is a guaranteed mess. There are no benefits to be had of this choice. However, his choice is entirely understandable! It makes total sense why he did what he did.

All in all, what’s rubbing me the wrong way here is the blatant cherry picking of what defines someone as “trustworthy”.

Luka is apparently trustworthy because he “knows how to keep his mouth shut”; however, people are choosing to ignore the fact that this secret is about the identities of Ladybug and Chat Noir, the owners of the two most powerful miraculous, which Shadowmoth wants, and the fact that said secret is with someone who has no protective charm and (unlike Alya and Nino) has not been shown to be capable of fighting off Shadowmoth’s attempts at influence. He also blatantly lied to Ladybug about it (an act that violated Marinette’s trust).

Alya is apparently untrustworthy because she told Nino that she was still Rena Furtive; Marinette asked her to lie, and she decided against it in favor of being truthful, so it was a violation of Marinette’s trust (Luka also violated trust, but that tidbit is often mysteriously left out…). Alya, prior to making her choice, however, asked for Marinette to put her faith in her; this shows that Alya was only going to make this choice if Marinette believed and trusted in Alya’s judgement (Like Luka, Alya made this choice because she genuinely feels that it was the right thing to do, but while this is praised for Luka, it’s not for Alya).

Both Alya and Luka made their decisions, pursuing what they think is the greater good. Both went behind Marinette’s back in order to do so. But while Luka’s being slapped on the back for his choice, Alya is being slapped on the wrist for the same thing.

(I hope this doesn’t come off as Luka salt. Luka is actually one of my favorite characters, but with Alya as another character I adore, it’s rather glaring how both are being faced with different standards they need to meet to be worthy of Marinette’s trust by fans)

Yeah I don't get why Luka should be considered more "trustworthy" here, especially since he's the only one who blatantly lied to Marinette's face. Like... yeah I think he's unlikely to just spill the secret, but there are other definitions of "trustworthy".

I'm not upset at either Luka or Alya for their choices. It makes for a more interesting story, and in both cases it was understandable. Well, if Luka's reasoning really is "Marinette will have a breakdown if I tell her the truth and I don't want that". I'm not 100% convinced that that is his reasoning.

But for Luka it really confused me that people are apparently cheering on how trustworthy he is? Because he lied about knowing Ladybug's and Chat's identities when Ladybug directly asked? Like this wasn't about him needing to keep it secret that he knows their identities for a security reason or to prove that he knows when to keep his mouth shut about identities, this wasn't some Secret Test Of Character.

I'm actually glad that the show's having Alya and Luka make decisions that go against what Marinette's asking for, each for their own reasons. It introduces some conflict and drama to the show that can push character development.

As for Alya and Luka being treated so differently in different portions of the fandom, I suspect a lot has to do with how much that person liked the character to begin with, along with their thoughts on why they made the decisions they did. For Luka, it's generally presumed that he lied to Ladybug because he thought it would be best for her own sake. While Alya going against Marinette's wishes was about what she thought was best for herself and Nino, rather than what she thought might be best for Marinette. So if someone was more concerned about Marinette always being a person's top priority rather than making decisions for their own sakes, I could see them siding more with Luka while disliking Alya's actions. Don't agree with it mind you, but I could see the thought process.

You might've answered this already and I just didn't find it, but one thing that always perplexed me about Duke was how old he was in comparison to the other Batkids. It's obvious he's younger than Dick and Babs, and I pretty sure he's younger than Jason and Cass, and older than Damian, but I cannot tell if he's meant to be Tim and Steph's ages, younger, or older. Could you help me?

You’re all kinds of good here, anon!!! I answered a similar ask abt the Order of Adoption but didn’t dive into specific ages on that post BECAUSE well they didn’t ask lmaooo but ALSO:

Comic ages are very fluid usually! While Years™️ might pass in the canon proper, or while time seems to slow to a crawl, having a character’s age outright stated is something that occurs very rarely for most characters, if at all!

Because it’s always much easier to have a floating age range to work and play around in! It’s easier to keep a character Perpetually 12 or 16 or 25 or mid-40s or- you get the idea. SO, with that in mind. Let’s do our Best to Break Down What Age Duke Might Be Currently A N D how it might interact with the Other Batkids!

(Warning for a Very Long Post, lots of issue citations, and a LOT of comics terminology regarding specific runs/events/continunity. I’m gonna try to keep it as clear/concise as possible ofc but plz keep these things in mind! If you’re not at least marginally familiar with Bat-Comics, you might find yourself feeling a little lost here!)

So from the Zero Year arc we see a common Trend that plays out pretty consistently with Batfam comics: a Life-Changing Event Occuring while the protag is Young™️.

(Batman (2011) #30)

With how Duke is drawn in these particular issues, and given the trends of the past, I’d place him in the 8-12 range. The historic precedent being ofc that that is the same range that canon usually places both Bruce and Dick at for their Tragedies™; the more benign reason being that he... just very much Looks to be drawn in that Range. He’s very clearly an Older/Prepubescent child here.

Fast Forward to his Next Appearance in the Endgame arc and-

(Batman (2011) #37)

He’s definitely older! He’s wiser! And he’s giving Batman a fistbump lmao. Again, no strict age given here BUT, since they condensed each Robin to a Year or Two tops with Bruce (its n52 and its fucked up is what it is), we can assume it’s been at least 4-5 since Zero Year (which would mean if we go off the age range I proposed for that year, then theoretically he could be anywhere from 12-16 here, and I think that tracks pretty well. Not Perfectly and Certainly Not so well with Pre52 continuity ofc, but I’ll talk about that later!)

In We Are Robin, while its not stated Directly In The Text, it IS given as an Informational Tidbit that Duke is 16 (specifically this can be found at the end of issue #4)! (Sweet sweet canon confirmation FINALLY)

We know that WAR takes place Fairly Soon after Endgame (almost immediately, give or take a month or two given that Duke’s been placed in a few foster homes at this point and has racked up Quite A File) now, again id like to remind y’all that while this is a NICE starting point to have, keep in mind that comics are fluid and this may be retconned slightly/ignored in later stories bc Keeping Duke 16-ish is in DC’s Best Interest at the moment. (Having Relatable Teen Characters afterall is a Good Marketing strategy™️. And the longer they can Keep them Young, the Better)

With that in mind let’s take a moment to Highlight the fact that Duke and Damian have crossed paths at this point AND the storylines that have occurred during this year that were meant to be in conjunction with one another!

Because Prior to Endgame, Damian had Died! And just a year (in real, meat-space time) before We Are Robin, he was resurrected and had begun his “Year of Atonement” in the Robin: Son of Batman maxiseries. Midway through both this series and WAR (and, we can assume, midway thru this “Year” for Damian) the Robin War begins/ends and we see at least one major Moment between these two boys who will soon call one another brothers:

Given that R:SoB is followed up VERY quickly by Teen Titans Rebirth (in which Damian celebrates his 13th birthday), we can conclude that Damian would be 12 during this time (well, 12 and 1/2 to play it safe lmao). That being said, this Confirms about a 4yr gap between Duke and Damian! (One Batkid down at least! but he’s the key to the others so put a pin in him!)

As We Are Robin draws to its conclusion, DC was releasing another arc that would eventually flow into the Rebirth Era, by the end of which, Bruce would approach Duke with an Idea (which involves Bruce becoming Dukes temporary guardian & as he states Many Times “Trying Something New” with Duke).

And thus the Rebirth Era begins, and Duke began his Year of training (most directly encapsulated by the Cursed Wheel arc in the All-Star Batman run:

Bruce introduces Duke to a training regimen that Alfred has named “the Cursed Wheel”. It encompasses all the training Bruce and the other bats have undergone and condenses it down into color-coordinated segments that will take Duke a Year to Complete.

It can be assumed that by the End of this Year Duke will somehow miraculously still be 16, despite, again, an entire ass year passing.

There’s one story that takes place mid-year in All-Star Batman, and the Cursed Wheel is meant to be capped off by Duke’s first Official Day as the Signal (in the titular Batman & the Signal ofc) BUT, near as I can tell after this story, Dukes age is not brought up again. So until they DO bring it up either in Batman & the Outsiders or whatever future run Duke becomes involved in, we can assume DC will be working with the idea that he’s meant to be in that 16-18 range from here on out (ie still a minor).

But, dear anon, you might be saying “okay, that’s cool, but how does that relate to my question abt how he falls in with the other Bats?” You’ll have to be a little patient with me here, but I think I may have cracked the code!

Keep in mind I’m gonna be addressing both the Post-Crisis to Flashpoint Continuity (ie mid-80s to 2010 in comics history) and the N52-slash-Rebirth Era (2010-Today). Its generally agreed by fandom and DC alike that these points of rebooting &/or Major Events constitute the era of “Modern” comics, and that everything from the 80s-on might more or less be canon on some level, even if not All of it is.

(Plus, most of fandom usually likes to borrow elements from both eras and much more rarely from stories before it, SO-)

Lets do a quick rundown of how everyone who’s Closer to Duke’s Age, Relates to each other first, age-wise:

Given that Jason was 15 when he died, in A Lonely Place of Dying its established that Bruce had become increasingly reckless since his death, and by the end of the story, Tim has stepped in to fill Robin’s shoes (he states that he’s 13 during this story btw). Pretty soon after, Stephanie Brown is introduced & established to be about a year older than Tim (wish I could pin-point a specific issue BUT, i unfortunately haven’t read any Tim OR Steph-involved comics that predate No Man’s Land... Besides the aforementioned Lonely Place and Young Justice technically, but im working on remedying that soon!)

NOW, during the No Man’s Land event, Cassandra is introduced, and pretty soon into her Batgirl run, its revealed that she’s around the same age as Jason (or at least how old he Would Have Been, had he not died.) Now, given that Jay has an August bday and Cass has a January one, fandom sometimes likes to play around with the idea of one being older than the other (OR even speculating/placing them in an AU as twins/siblings, given that Lady Shiva (Cass’ mom) was a Possible Candidate to be Jason’s biological mother but that’s a Whole Other Thing i wont get into here.)

The point being, Cass, in this era of comics, IS slightly older than Tim and Steph. At Tim’s start as Robin, their ages could either line up like: Tim-13, Steph-14, Cass-15 (being a few months ‘behind’ Jay), then Jason at 15/16 (depending on how soon Tim filled the role after Jay died in April) OR Jason-15/16, Cass-16/17 (in this case she’d be a few months ‘ahead’ now instead)

So brief detour to talk New 52, however! Because Tim, Steph & Cass all got switched around from where DC originally left them prior to the reboot! Now I haven’t read much of them in this era, other than Batman & Robin: Eternal, so my Understanding of their current ages is Spotty at Best. The general consensus seems to be that while before N52, Stephanie had been attending her first year of College (& doing VERY WELL i might add), with the reboot she was set back a few years alongside Tim to a vague Late-Teen state (so 16-18-ish, instead of a Very Clearly Established 18/19). Cass is probably the worst off for this reboot, given that B&R:E basically constitutes her new origin for the new continuity, and does nothing to confirm her age (all I really know is that she’s a Vague Late-Teen too... Probably? Maybe?), given how much they infantilize her, and subsequently how fandom in turn has taken to infantilizing her too, theres a semi-popular fanon that places her Younger that Tim and Steph. And I, for one, propose that we ignore that bc its Weak Sauce my dudes.

Some fans chose to ignore N52 continuity due to this vagueness, and will stick to the ages established before the N52/Rebirth reboots. But its something to keep in mind regardless bc we’re all obviously going to pull from what’s most familiar to us!

But WHERE could we place Duke with regards to them, then? Because them being “Late Teens” is certainly much too vague to work with!

This is Where Damian is the key!

Because Damian is one of those rare exceptions to the Reboot Rule. His story flowed almost seamlessly over from before to after. While he was made a Robin at the age of 10, he continued to grow and learn even after the universe was being rewritten to suit the whims of DC editorial.

If we choose to ignore how everyone else’s ages and origins were swapped around, and stick with the growth that was presented before the reboot, then we can draw some interesting conclusions!

Firstly, though Stephanie also had Died and subsequently Returned, she hadn’t lost much, if any time, from the Ordeal. At the start of her Batgirl run, she is enrolled at a Gotham university and making headway with a more firm foot in the Batfamily (even to the point that she and Damian spend a few issues bonding. At this point in time, Damian is definitely 11, and again, Steph can be assumed to be 18/19 during the course of her run. We’ll assume 18 for clarity’s sake.)

So, then when Damian is 11, now our line up is as Follows:

Dami - 11, Steph - 18, Tim - 17, Cass 19-21 (the range depending again, if you subscribe to Cass being either older/younger than Jason).

WHICH MEANS, If during Robin War Damian is 12 (and a half) THEN We’ve got an age line-up that Potentially looks Like This:

Dami -12(and 1/2), Duke - 16, Tim - 18, Steph - 19, Cass - 20-22 (And Obvsly Jason, Babs & Dick at their varying Older Ages than everyone here)

and im just now realizing i Didnt include Harper in this line-up, but thats bc she’d also throw a big wrench in all this. I’d personally throw her in with being Steph’s age, but I’m pretty sure she was supposed to be either that, or between Steph and Cass (again, since its N52, i believe Cass was/is assumed to be Younger than Steph, but that contradicts the assumed following of pre52 canon that we have for the above line-up, obvsly, and so we ignore that lmao)

All this to say, however, that canon and fandom is what you make of it, and if you want to wiggle these ages around a little, you’re more than allowed! God Knows i usually like to skew the Tim-Steph-Cass age group to be a tad older than this in my own fic writing, and I like to have Duke start as a Robin at 14/15 instead of 16, but that’s just bc I like the dynamic potential it could bring with them being Definitively Older that him, and thus in a more secure place to be Mentoring him right alongside Bruce & the others.

But you might see these age ranges and want to do something Different (say, making Tim, Steph, Cass, & Duke all the Same Age at 17 instead! And that very well tracks with how current comics kinda looks right now!) and you’re absolutely valid to do so! Because again, comic character’s ages are meant to be fluid, not fixed!

And at the end of the day, its all about wanting to see these teen heroes kick serious ass haha

@hopeless-soul-happyface i love this tag because (believe it or not) i already have a list of my favorite characters of all time that i keep in my notes on my phone. and most of my faves are somehow chaotic neutral. i’m going to countdown from 10. and im going to gush about each of them because i never get to.

10. Katsuki Bakugo from BNHA/My Hero Academia

I love his machismo. I love his shouting. I love his determination. He reminds me of an angry kitten. I love him.

9. Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir from Miraculous Ladybug

Look at him!!!! LOOK AT HIM!!!! Such a cinnamon roll. Adrien is so sweet and wonderful and I love how vulnerable he’s allowed to be. I really wish they would give Adrien more chances to be grow. But this show is so good!!

8. Damon Salvatore from the Vampire Diaries

OKAY! Damon is my OG fave. Vampire Diaries was my fave show and Delena was my OTP before I knew what OTP was. They gave Damon the best character arc (even if sometimes it was like 2 steps forward, 6 steps back >.>) and he had the best one liners. I really miss the Vampire Diaries CW days when I was still in high school. Sigh. Not to mention, Ian Somerhalder? Hot as hell.

7. Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto

I know a lot of people have mixed feeling regarding Sasuke, but like. Having the chance to face all the wrong you did and then trying to atone? Having to wake up and every day and make that choice over and over again? All because the people who loved you never gave up on you so you not only owe it to them but also to everyone you’ve wronged? Iconic. Fantastic. And as a writer, I love being able to think about all that delicious characterization and thought process and the delicate way that it has to be handled. Sasuke has the best redemption. He proves that hate and love are not opposites, but rather two sides of he same coin. And don’t even get me stared of him and Sakura. <3

6. Amren from ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas (photo credit to the artist)

If you haven’t read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas or made it to book two yet, then you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Amren, aka the most badass, most scary we-dont-know-what-she-is-maybe-an-ancient-angel-from-another-world-we-dont-ask-questions. Amren is our own jewel-hoarding, brash, second in command of the Night Court. She’s the bestest.

5. Michael Guerin from Roswell, New Mexico

AKA my favorite bisexual alien cowboy. Michael is a babe. He’s dumb but also so smart. He makes me feel warm. I love him. And I love Vlamis!! Also: LOOK AT THE CURLS!!!! Like HOW!!!

4. Hideyoshi Nagachika from Tokyo Ghoul

Hide is the best character. He’s the character you don’t expect until BAM! You’re knocked out because of fabulous, secretive writing. Like, sure we know Hide is a good friend to Kaneki from the beginning. But like. God. When we find out everything Hide does for his best friend, despite everything? Iconic. Amazing. Brilliant. Your fave could never. Hide is the best. I could wax poetic about how amazing a character Hide is. But I’ll stop here.

3. Jullien Eton Anatole/Jules Dagger Samari from The League series by Sherrilyn McQueen

Okay, so like the League is my favorite of Sherri’s book and Born of Legend is my favorite book ever. I’ve read it over and over. I love it so much because again we have a character previously thought to be a villianous asshole but wait, no we’re wrong. He’s just a regular asshole. And we get to watch him meet his soulmate who kicks his ass and also melts his heart. Also, Jullien is so chaotic and dumb and I love him because of it all. He deserves so much and I’m so happy he finally ended up with a home and a family who loves him.

2. Nick Gautier from Chronicles of Nick/Hunter Legends by Sherrilyn McQueen

AHHHHH. As you see, Sherri’s books speak to me and Nick Gautier is literally my second favorite character of all time. His story spans like 20 books and we still don’t know all the ins and outs. I’m hoping Sherri is able to get back to writing, but I just hope she’s healthy and happy at the end of day. But goodness. Nick. His series is so interesting because we get to see a lot of new and interesting things we didn’t know were possible, including alternate realities. Nick deserves so much! SO MUCH. And to this day, I can’t read Seize the Night. If you’re a fan, you know why.

I. Love. Nico. Di. Angelo. With. All. Of. My. Heart. And. Soul. OKAY!??!?!? He became my favorite of all time for several reasons. The moment he fed mcdonalds to a bunch of ghosts? Iconic. His look? Iconic. His grumpy reluctance to help? Iconic. Nico singlehandedly saving the day and coming to terms with his sexualty? ICONIC. Nico Di Angelo is amazing and has to be protected at all costs.

this is an extra post for me to infodump on all the worldbuilding details i never got to fit into my already obnoxiously large fic 🕺🏻🕺🏻 its holding my brain hostage so maybe posting this will help!!!

please read luck of the draw before clicking the readmore !! there are spoilers abound (and you probably won’t understand much of what i’m saying if you haven’t read the fic LMAO)

ABOUT THE CONCEPT

the very core of luck of the draw isn’t actually unique to kenji or to haikyuu in general; in fact, it was originally a part of a superhero!skz series i was planning to write but never got around to. the foundation of this fic -- kenji’s power and the idea of them being opposing forces that slowly draw together -- was originally given to stray kids’ hyunjin. i never went past the Thinking Stage with it, so it was fairly easy to hand the concept over to futakuchi when i moved fandoms.

the dynamic of this fic in general was inspired pretty heavily by miraculous ladybug’s “love square,” but i ... obviously wasn’t going to write all four sides of it so i stuck to the civilian identities (the reader and kenji) and the alteregos (harbinger and ace). in the kpop version of this wip, the reader and hyunjin were coworkers, but in moving from one fandom to another and reworking it for futakuchi, i decided to make them friends instead. they’re not particularly close (they’re definitely comfortable but not close Emotionally) to start with, but there’s potential for something to start!

ABOUT THE WORLD

in this universe, the city is ruled by two major factions that control much of the economy: seijoh, who controls the entertainment/tourism industries and has its fingers in most of the smaller businesses around the city (such as johzenji and dateko) and nekoma, who is partnered with the equally large fukurodani to control shipment of all kinds as well as the food industry (among others). nekoma has allies within the local government, and seijoh all but controls the law enforcement.

karasuno, on the other hand, works entirely from the underground to overhaul the way things are run in the city; it’s a bit .... corrupt as of right now, and they seek to change that.

at the top are typically individuals blessed with special powers known as gifts. these gifts can be as mundane as the ability to make flowers bloom wherever you walk or as powerful as being able to alter the flow of time. there exist a series of regulations (and a shit ton of paperwork) that come about whenever an individual happens to manifest a gift.

however, the city’s gifted demographic is incorrectly represented; a chunk of the gifted population are instead drawn to the allure of making money by doing illicit deeds for companies like seijoh or nekoma. these individuals’ gifts are never properly documented due to the traceability it lends itself to, should a job go wrong.

the government is supposedly in talks to enact stricter laws on the gifted, despite them making up a comparatively small percentage of the population. the head of the department of gifted individuals, ushijima wakatoshi, is a particularly overwhelming force in support of better regulation of his fellow gifted.

ABOUT THE CHARACTERS

in the first draft of luck of the draw, the sequence of events and relationship dynamics were MUCH different. in the final draft, you see the alteregos being drawn to each other first before you see the civilians come together.

in that first draft, it was originally centered on the civilians getting together despite kinda-sorta being attracted to each other’s alterego? as a result, the kiss scene between the alteregos was still there but it was DRASTICALLY different. the whole idea of it and imo moral ambiguitity (kenji and the reader never went official with their relationship in the first draft) didn’t sit right with me at all; it felt a little like i was using cheating as a plot device which ??? no.

to make the long story short, the execution of that (tbh poorly developed) idea was.......less than stellar.

so i took a look at the chronology and basically upended the entire midsection to make the concept something that was less awful morally? that’s what i hope happened, anyway LJSKDFLSD

in the first draft, the reader (as harbinger) was also much less competent than they are in the final draft as a result of having been affiliated with karasuno for a shorter time. in truth, the harbinger’s origin story didn’t surface until i was in the middle of writing the second draft!

when it comes to the other characters:

oikawa doesn’t have a gift, which is rather rare for someone with their thumb sitting so heavily on the city’s pulse point

iwaizumi’s gift is entirely up to interpretation! him and oikawa making formal appearances in the story was something that only came up towards the end of draft two, so i didn’t have the space (word count wise) to really give either much thought

kyotani came into his gift without any control over it, and is only given amnesty because he was found hiding by iwaizumi

i really really wanted to talk about kyotani in this fic but ultimately it wasnt revolving around him + i once again didn’t have space to even tease an encounter with him (so in the fic proper he’s mostly there as a cameo + to scare you as you read into a potential action scene)

aone and kenji actually come from the same company that happened to come under seijoh’s control, so they’re more comfortable with each other than anyone else!

hinata has the gift of manipulation as long as you’re making eye contact with him; unfortunately, if he wills it, it’s rather hard to break eye contact once you’ve made it -- aone made the mistake of glancing at him during the takeover at seijoh hq, leading to his hold on harbinger loosening

kageyama obviously has the gift of ice/hail/snow manipulation to a rather strong extent, considering he can create it where there is none and lower the temperature of the air around him (the reader cannot create their own darkness, only manipulate what is around them)

he also has some beef with oikawa (or is it the other way around?) that involves him formerly working under seijoh -- not one of their many smaller companies, but seijoh itself (much like iwaizumi and after kageyama leaves, kyotani)

in terms of who’s been with karasuno the longest of the introduced cast, it’s tsukishima/three-eyes > hinata = kageyama > reader (but not by much)

MISCELLANEOUS

following the takeover of seijoh, tsukishima finds himself at wit’s end much more often LMAO

there are a good amount of deleted scenes and scenes that were only added in at the very last second!

among the deleted scenes is a scene where the civilians are at the park -- in the first draft, it happened in the middle, but in the second it was towards the end. it got taken out because come the end of the second draft, i realized it no longer fit ...

in terms of completion status, it probably ?? took a little over a month from this to go from Thinking Stage to the 14.2k monstrosity you see now? there were a couple of weeks early on where i did nothing on my ipad and laptop except outline and write, respectively

i definitely got burned out halfway through (which is abt the time i posted the xc2 au .. i NEEDED to work on smth else)

the idea of the clock tower wasn’t present at all in the first draft!! i only really came up with it in the second draft because i’d rather have them meet somewhere consistent and identifiable rather than some nondescript building

the running joke (?) of them getting drinks together wasn’t present until the third and final draft -- originally the scene where ace asks “do you remember our last conversation?” had a different beginning

in fact, a lot of the scenes that are a bit more...emotionally charged (see: every scene after ace’s unmasking as well as the movie night scene where the civilians struggle to define what their relationship has become) had to be overhauled dramatically

ummm i love kenji thats it! none of this would be possible if i didnt have the strongest mf brainrot for him so ... ! theres that LMAO

(theres probably more im forgetting to say ........ if any of you want to pick my brain regarding the chronology or the characters or why i had them say something or do something send me an ask! this post tbh is almost entirely for me but i didnt put this much thought into a fic that long to NOT share it with everyone else)

Intro and Questions for the Miraculous Ladybug Fandom

I know I haven’t been very active on Tumblr lately. Or ever, really. My posts have been rare and I have to admit I never really figured out how to navigate the fandom side of it. I’m hoping to change that now, and starting off with a new fandom. (I’ll still post on my others from time to time, I hope, but since I’m new to Miraculous Ladybug and the inspiration is buzzing—also I’ve fallen behind on canon for a couple of my other fandoms, so I’m avoiding those parts of Tumblr until I’ve read the new books—it’ll probably be mostly this for a while.)

If anyone following me hasn’t seen the show (or past season one), this post is spoiler-free except the end which is clearly marked, but future ones will definitely have spoilers. For clarity I’ll be putting the relevant fandom initials in the title of all my posts from now on, and endeavouring to not put major spoilers right at the top of posts, to avoid people see them accidentally. I was accidentally spoiled three times for this show while trying to find out how to see season two, so I empathise!

I’ve been a fan of the show for about a year now, but wasn’t able to see past season one (all there still is on the UK Netflix) until this summer, and I still determinedly avoided the online fandom until I’d seen all the season three episodes, which was only a few weeks ago. So I’m very much a fandom newbie. And I have a huge backlog of geeking out, and questions I’ve been dying to ask other fans. (I’m not going to put it/them ALL in this post, that would make it really long and leave no material for future posts …) Please be kind when answering stuff that may be obvious to more experienced fans!

First of all, as I said I’ve not been very active on Tumblr, but I love Pinterest and I see a lot of fandom things on there that originated here. A few weeks ago I created a Miraculous Ladybug board and have since repeatedly got very distracted looking for pins! I’ve seen a lot of fan comics (some have actually inspired fanfic ideas …) and there is one question that I’ve been dying to ask since noticing a pattern in a lot of Marichat ones.

Where does this thing with CN calling Marinette “princess” (or pun variations of) come from? Did this originate from something in canon (I’m guessing in Weredad) that I just don’t remember?

Also, I’ve been writing MLB fanfiction for months without having read any, and all that time I’ve been writing “Cat Noir” and “Hawk Moth”. I’ve started reading fic now, but not very much yet, and I’m still confused over whether the villain’s name is one word or two (I have now seen it both ways), and whether or not everyone writes Chat instead of Cat? I know it’s a French fandom, but I’ve only ever seen the English versions and he’s called Cat in it, so that’s what I’ve always written and what I default think of him as. Plus I am positive the show was made in English first. I used to only be 99% sure, because there are a few moments when the dialogue seems slightly out of sync with the characters’ mouth movements, but then I found out Hawk Moth is called Papillon in the French version, and having rewatched him introduce himself, I’m positive there is absolutely no way his mouth can be saying ‘Papillon’.

Since the plural for Miraculous seems to be “Miraculous*es*” in season one and “Miraculous” after that … what do you write in fanfic? For the sake of being clear I prefer to uses “Miraculouses”.

As a fun aside, I recently discovered I’ve been spelling all the Kwamis’ names wrong. All except Plagg, but that’s just because I initially misheard it and couldn’t be sure what it was, so looked it up on Wikipedia early on. (As well as the word Kwami, which I had no idea how to spell but was sure started with a Q.) So I’ve been slowly correcting all the instances of Tiki, Waze, Trix, Nuru and Duzu.

And don’t get me started on how long it took me to figure out how to spell Bourgeois …

So to shipping.

I love all sides of the Adrien and Marinette love triangle, though it wasn’t until very recently that Marichat grew on me. Since Glaciator, the canon interactions have definitely been more interesting, but I admit I didn’t really see it as a proper ship until the other day when I read @chatnoirinette ’s awesome piece on what made their relationship so good, and it got me thinking …

If you count the love triangle as all one ship (which I do, because it’s much simpler in my head, plus I write a lot of reveal fics …), then I have two OTPs for this fandom. The other is Gabenath. (I’m new at the ship names, do you pronounce the H?) So many things I’d love to say about them, but I’ll save for future posts. Those four characters are without a doubt my favourite (in order: Nathalie, Gabriel, Adrien, Marinette; but it’s really close!). I also like Luka/Chloe, and I paired them together in my head (well, in a fanfiction plan) before I knew anyone else had thought of it.

With regards to fanfiction, I’ve never read much on or posted directly to Tumblr (I prefer archives where chapters are easily organised and you can’t accidentally read something before you’ve read the previous instalment), but I will try and remember now to at least mention when I post something new. Usually I’m on FFnet and AO3 under the penname Alexannah. (I’m also registered under pretty much every Harry Potter archive still online, though I admit I’ve rather lost track of which of my stories are posted where on them, with the exception of Potions and Snitches which I frequent regularly.)

I have a mass of multi-chapter MLB fics in the works, but can’t promise when any of them will be posted. I might post some info about the more promising looking ones if people are interested. However I do have a drabble and a one-shot on both archives, and I’m working on a couple of other one-shots. I’m also working on a response to a prompt I came across on Tumblr which I plan to post in full here since this is where the inspiration came from (and I also promised to tag people who were interested), though I don’t plan on doing that for the rest of my stories.

I’ll leave it there for now, but expect some headcanons, season three reactions and other geeking out in due course …

I didn’t get any asks regarding this but I still kinda wanna answer the questions anyway so here goes

1. What was your first fic and could you stand to reread it today?

I refuse to say what my first fic was and that should be answer enough to the second part

2. What’s your most recent fic and how far do you think you’ve come?

Most recent fic is Something Good Can Work

I think I’ve come pretty far from when I first started writing. I know there’s some things I could always be better at, but I’m way happier with the stuff I was writing 5 and 10 years ago.

3. In your opinion, what’s your best fic?

Oh geez that’s kind of hard because there’s a few I’m pretty proud of.

If I had to name one, it’d probably be lost & different. It’s one of my longest oneshots to date and I ended up finishing it in 2 days so...go me.

4. In your opinion and without looking at any numbers, what’s your most popular fic?

Shot in the Dark. Hands down.

5. Is there any fic that makes you super happy to reread and remember you wrote that?

Pure Feeling probably. I think it’s mostly because it’s kind of out of place for me (I don’t typically do fics involving kids so it’s a nice change of pace)

6. Is there any fic that makes you super embarrassed to reread and remember you wrote that?

A lot of my older fics from when I wrote for Teen Titans and Soul Eater. Dark times man....dark times.

7. What’s the fic you most want to continue (unfinished or no)?

Pure Feeling absolutely. And I actually do want to finish Fall From Eden, but I wanna rewrite it (I first published it about 4 years ago and not only do I want to fix some things plot-wise to incorporate more of canon into it, but there’s a lot I’m not happy with that I want to try and fix)

I also have a sequel lined up for Shot in the Dark.

But if I had to pick one, definitely Pure Feeling. I want to be able to actually finish a multichaptered fic for once and by dammit I’m gonna do it.

8. What’s the oldest (longest since last update) fic you most want to continue (unfinished or no)?

That would be Shot in the Dark. There were a lot of things I wanted to do with that AU and while I don’t think I’ll get to most of it, I do at least want to finish the sequel.

9. Have you ever written for a fandom without watching/reading/playing the source material?

Nope. I don’t write for things I don’t have an interest in and typically if I haven’t consumed it, I’m not interested

10. Have you ever written for a fandom without reading other fanfic for it?

A couple, yeah. I wrote a fic for Jessica Jones (although, after I did I ended up reading a couple fics for it).

Also did a couple of fics in my early years of writing for some stuff that people probably know nothing about (but if you’re curious, Princess Ai and Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl)

11. Have you ever written a fic for a concept you know someone else has done before? How did it impact your writing process or feelings after posting?

I feel like it’s hard not to? Most concepts in general have typically been done before by someone. We don’t create in a vacuum.

But if I do a concept I know I’ve seen before, I typically always try to make it my own somehow. Because since it’s been done before, others have most likely seen it, so I want to show them how mine is different. I like to push the boundaries, combine different concepts together, and really create a piece that makes it unique enough to set myself apart.

I like using general concepts and deconstructing them before reconstructing them into something new that I like and want to share. And it’s always nice after I publish it and get feedback to see that people really enjoy the stuff I write.

12. Have you ever written a fic and decided never to publish it? Why?

Oh plenty for sure. More often than not, I started writing it and got stuck and then a) took so long I lost interest or b) took so long that I forgot where I was going with it

13. What’s the biggest change between your style when you started in fandom and today?

If we’re talking about style, I think that’s a bit harder to pin down depending on what I write. But I’ve noticed that with particular oneshots I’ve become more abstract in my writing so that’s cool

14. What’s the biggest change in your taste between when you started in fandom and today?

I used to read just about anything if it had my ship when I was younger, but as I grew older I became more and more picky. Some things can turn me off a fic completely.

I also have really grown to dislike fics that are WAY to cliche and tropey. I love tropes as much as the next person, but I feel like some people just don’t do enough with it to really make it interesting. The more cliche your fic is without much else brought to it, the easier it is for me to forget it.

15. Have you ever purposefully written one fandom/fic idea over another because you knew it’d be more popular?

Nah. I don’t typically like writing things I’m not passionate about because it’s hard to hold my attention to finish it. If I write an idea, it’s because I wanted to, not because I figured it’d get me a lot of feedback.

16. Have you ever stopped writing a fic/for a fandom because it wasn’t receiving enough attention?

Not really. Like I said before, if I don’t write for it, it probably means I’m not awfully interested anymore

17. In your opinion, what’s your most overrated fic?

If we’re talking about any fics, probably one of the ones I wrote for Teen Titans in my earlier days.

But if we’re talking more recent, Talking Body. Idk. I just don’t think that fic is as interesting as I thought it was at the time but it blew the fuck up regardless

18. What’s your most underrated fic?

Hybrid. I’m mostly upset because it didn’t get as much attention as the prequel before it considering that garnered a lot of attention but...c’est la vie

19. If you had to pick one fic/scene/chapter of your work to describe your entire portfolio to a stranger, which would you pick?

Probably pillars. It’s probably one of the most interesting fics I’ve written in terms of formatting.

20. Have/Would you ever rewrite a fic? If yes, would you take the original down?

Like I mentioned before, I do want to rewrite Fall From Eden. And yes, if and when I eventually get to that, I would be replacing all the chapters currently up.

21. If someone starts kudosing and commenting your fics in a spree and has a few works of their own, would you go look through theirs?

Not typically. I appreciate the onslaught of feedback, trust me, but I prefer to parse through the fic lists of the ships of my choosing and read from there

22. Has there ever been anyone who’s made you freak out because they read your work and followed/favorited/reviewed?

Not that I can remember. I’m sure it’s happened, I just can’t remember it haha

23. What’s the nicest review you’ve ever gotten?

Oh jeez that’s a tough one I can’t remember them all.

24. What’s the meanest review you’ve ever gotten? Do you think the reviewer intended it?

I’ve gotten plenty of mean reviews but most of those are from my earlier days of writing. I can’t remember any particular ones so I also couldn’t tell you if the reviewer intended it or not

25. What constructive criticism, however well-meaning, always makes you feel bad when you see it in a review?

I wouldn’t say it makes me feel bad, but I know one review I’ve seen a couple of times is when people tell me that my writing gets too prose-y. The main reason it rubs me the wrong way is because while I’m sure they’re trying to be helpful, prose is part of my style less than the logistics and structure.

My descriptions can be a bit much sometimes I guess, but more often than not, it’s there for a reason. Whether it helps set the mood, gives insight to the characters’s thoughts/motivations/feelings that really set the story, or because I want to immerse the reader in the best way possible by painting a picture.

So it’s just annoying when people tell me to tone it down because it’s too much for them. If you don’t like prose, then read something else.

My characterization. 9 times out of 10, that’s the thing I get most anxious about, so when people tell me I nail it it always makes my goddamn day

Single-fandom. Not a huge fan of crossover fics

Oof. That’s really tough because like I said, my interests change all the time. I typically jump from fandom to fandom and write for whatever I’m obsessed with at the time.

I guess if I had to pick though...RWBY probably.

I’d say it’s about even for what I’m interested at the time. Biggest discrepancy though would probably be....either Miraculous Ladybug or Fairy Tail.

I just don’t write much for those and read a lot so...

30. Do you continue to write for a fandom after you’ve moved on or do you focus solely on the new one?

Sometimes. Not too often. Because usually I’m so hyperfocused on the new shiny thing that most of my ideas end up being for that

31. Who’s the one character you’ve just never managed to get perfectly right?

I always worry that I do that for every character I write for haha.

I think my major concerns regarding that right now are Scorpia and Entrapta. For some reason I feel like they’re really difficult to write for.

33. Is there any particular character whose scenes always wind up being longer/more frequent than you expected? Does the quality hold up?

I don’t think so?

I’d have to say as my World d[ivides] really surprised me. I really wasn’t sure how people would respond to that one given that it deals with a VERY sensitive subject and was positive I’d face a little bit of backlash. But honestly everyone actually really loved it and I got so much nice feedback from it.

35. Have you ever written a ship into a fic without meaning to?

Not usually

Nope

Errrr...probably not? I tell people that I write fics, but I always get nervous when it comes to the thought of them actually reading them. It feels too personal somehow. Like, that’s a part of me I don’t usually let people see.

The only person who has is my boyfriend. And even then I get nervous when he does it

Yeah like I said, I’ve told some people. And they area typically interested in the original content, but I don’t know how involved they are in fanfiction or fandom itself

50. Has writing fanfic had a significant impact on your life? Would you say it’s entirely positive?

I would like to say it has. I’ve been writing for about 10 years now and it’s really opened up a lot of doors for me. I’ve met some really great people through fic and fandom. I’ve also grown as a writer after being at it for so long which has, strangely enough, helped me regarding essays and papers for school.

Writing is kind of just what I do now. It’s one of my only contributions to fandom, so it’s nice to know I can take part somehow in generating content.

Hiya, guys~!

So this is partially a writing blog (I’ll reblog some aesthetic stuff, or just anything I like sometimes, so beware~). I write fan fiction and some original fiction, but I’ll just be posting the fan fiction stuff here. Feel free to make requests or just drop by to chat/ask questions, whatever you want really. Okay, so now that you know what I write for and what I do, how do you request something? Easy!

All I need from you is something that looks like this:

Okay~? This will help me organize and keep everything in order. Obviously the more detail you provide for the plot, the easier it will be for me to complete your request.

Example of a request:

Plot: Soulmate AU where their name is tattooed on your body, etc.

Additional Notes: Gender neutral!Reader, Vigilante!Reader, Fluff, Angst, etc.

You can get as detailed as you like, more is better than less! However, I may change or add or remove certain aspects of a request if I just can’t seem to write it exactly as requested. If you are unhappy with what I do for a request, let me know! I can always try again, but if I just don’t think I can do what you’re asking, I won’t. I’ll always let you guys know if I decline a request, so if you don’t see your request somewhere and it’s been a while, I may have just not gotten to it yet or I don’t have it, so don’t be afraid to ask!

Note: this template is typically for longer requests. Things like headcanons won’t need as much detail or plot seeing as you’d be requesting for my headcanons.

If I do decide to open ships/match ups I will add a template for that (but it would really just be anything you’d like to share about yourself, the fandom(s) [up to three] you’d like to get shipped with, and your gender preference [would you like to get shipped with a male? How long will it take for a request to be completed?

I honestly don’t know. I’ll try to be as consistent as I can, but I’m in college so I don’t know when I can post other than whenever I have free time. I’ll complete requests on a sort of “first come, first serve” basis, or at least try my best to, though.

How many requests do you take at a time?

At this point, I’m going to try to keep a maximum of 15 requests at a time. Later on I’ll break it down based on what type of request it is (One shot? Headcanon? Drabble? Etc.).

Do you post anywhere else?

I do not! Tumblr is my only platform right now, so if you see my work anywhere else (I don’t see why you would, but just in case) it is not me. Please tell me so I can take care of it.

Do you give shout outs?

I do! I’ll do it for any kind of writing blog, fandom blog, whatever! By all means, I’m happy to help~

How do I know if requests are open?

My description should say whether or not I’m taking requests at the moment, so check there first! You can ask if you’re still not sure for whatever reason, but please do not send a request if they are closed. I will have to decline and tell you to request at another time.

What are AUs?

AU stands for “Alternate Universe”. So anything that doesn’t necessarily follow canon, but may contain certain elements of canon (depending on the AU) such as the characters or dynamics between characters (though not always). Some examples can include: soulmate! AU, high school/college! AU, fake dating! AU, roommates! AU, medieval! AU, royalty! AU, musician! AU, and many, many more!

What are OCs?

OCs are “original characters”, which are essentially characters that fans create. Often times the creator will insert these OCs into already existing fandoms/universes, sometimes pairing them with a character/characters from that show/movie/book/etc.

What are headcanons/blurbs/drabbles/one shots/etc.?

Alright, so every author will probably define these differently in order to fit their personal preference, so these rules only apply to me!

Headcanons:

Ideas or concepts regarding a character/characters that aren’t specifically stated as fact or a part of canon. These are things that an individual likes to believe to be true about said character(s), that they consider to be a part of their own ‘canon’ in their head. Sometimes headcanons can become widely accepted by the fandom and thus become integrated as a part of the fandom’s interpretation of the character(s).

I’ll typically write these out as bullet point lists in regards to a certain topic, i.e. “headcanon for what it would be like to date [insert character(s)]”.

Blurbs:

A very, very, very short piece of writing. Probably under 100-200 words. Usually based off of a prompt of some sort, e.g. “blurb for reader and [insert character(s)] cooking together”.

Drabbles:

Still typically a shorter piece of writing, probably around 250-500 or so words. Can be based off of a prompt similarly to blurbs.

One Shots:

Pieces of writing that are stand alone fics. Can be any length, but will not have any chapters or additional parts. Sequels/prequels/etc. may be added if I get inspiration for it and you guys want more of this particular work, but I wouldn’t count on it every time.

Series/Multi-Chapter Fic:

As stated by the title, this includes multiple chapters! That means a certain prompt/request/idea/AU/etc. will span multiple parts and become a series. This means a fic will have at least two (2) parts/chapters, but can have as many as I/you want (as long as I have the inspiration for it, again).

Ship/Match Up:

(Keep in mind that these are not yet open, I’ll decide later on if I think I can do these, but I’ll put this here just so you guys know and just in case~)

These are where I would tell you who I think I’d ship you with (platonically, romantically, both, etc.) based on information you give me about yourself and what kind of character you’d prefer (fandom(s) [up to three], gender preference of character [male? Female? Don’t care? etc.]), etc.). You can tell me as much or as little as you want, however, more detailed reasons and responses as to why I would ship you with this character are easier with more information. I can’t really ship you with someone if all I know is that you’re a girl, your favorite color is green, and that you would like to get shipped with someone from Marvel. Personality, looks (not really necessary, but it does help!), preferences, hobbies, likes, dislikes, etc. all help! I can also take a look at your blog if you’d like me to (though any information you can provide would also be helpful as this does not act as a substitute for telling me about yourself)!

Writing Commissions are Open!

It’s the end of the semester, so I finally have some time to write!

I’m studying abroad at the University of Surrey in the UK next semester, which has been a dream of mine since I was like, eight. I did get a job this past semester to pay for it, but I only made about $500 of the $2,000 I expected to make due to not getting scheduled and not being able to pick up shifts. I’m trying not to rely on my parents too much, but England isn’t cheap and the pound is currently equal to $1.34.

So, I’m opening commissions!

What I’ll Write:

Fandom Fic: If I know enough about the characters, I’ll write for it. This ranges from Marvel to Star Wars to Fullmetal Alchemist to Soul Eater to Miraculous Ladybug to Voltron, and a number of things in between. Ask me!

Original/OC Work: Just give me enough details to go off of! This can be either original work or OC fic.

The usual suspects. Pedophilia, incest, rape/sexual assault, gore, torture, major drug use, etc. I reserve the right to turn down a fic for anything outside this list that I’m uncomfortable doing – I will let you know at the time of commission. This does include some ships.

Pricing:

$5 for 500 (min) $10 for 1000 $15 for 1500 $20 for 2000 $25 for 2500 $30 for 3000 $35 for 4000 $40 for 5000 $50 for 6000 $60 for 7000 $70 for 8000 $75 for 9000 $80 for 10000 (max)

So at 4k you’d get $5 off, at 5k you’d get $10 off, at 9k you’d get $15 and at 10k you’d get $20 off. I stopped listing the 500-word increments after 2500, but 7500 words would similarly be $65.

E-rated work (NSFW) will include a 50% price increase. If you request something I feel I can’t do, I will let you know.

Payment:

Payment will be through PayPal and discussed at the time of commission. I’m asking for it in two installments: 50% at the time I deliver a rough draft for review and the rest of it once the completed work is delivered.
