hmm... had to think about this for a while and talk about it with co-author, but here's what we got. we mostly base this stuff on how plausible it is in show/if there's evidence for it. with a dash of personal experience. This only applies to residuum, btw. I have different personal headcanons for these characters outside the comic.

april: lesbian. this is mostly based off of the fact that most aprils get with their caseys & the comment she said to dale. which could be taken as disinterest in dale specifically, but she seemed more concerned with impressing that popular girl earlier and that reads as more... saphic, i suppose. or at the very least homoromantic.

raph: raph is just raph. we look at him and basically just *tv static*. go crazy. all we got is jokes or stuff that has too little evidence to support. so, yeah, he's whatever you want him to be i guess?

leo: trans. already said my reason in the other post. also, gay. if gay were a power source he could power the entirety of the united states for five months straight without a single power outage. failing power grid notwithstanding (< thats the actual word. its supposed to be mushed together like that. wack.).

donnie: as much as i'd like him to be ace/aro spectrum rep, he just doesn't have the evidence in show for us to apply it to him in this comic. it's funny, for being hc as ace so often he sure is the most outwardly romantic/sexual turtle in the show lmao. one! cherry: "you're so cute, but you're so mean! why do i always go for your type?" two! astrogirl?? Tim and Dick are actually cousins, Tim through Janet and Dick through whichever parent isn't related to William Cobb, Mary Grayson. Janet only just found out that she had a sister. This is why the Drakes were at the circus that day. Janet was trying to get up the courage to introduce herself and maybe form a connection.

Then of course, things went very wrong.

Janet was trying to convince Jack that they should take in Dick, by the time she had almost gotten him to agree Dick was taken in by Bruce and Janet left the situation like that since Bruce was richer than them and since she wasn't sure how Dick would react to an aunt he'd never met or how he and Tim would get along in the long run. She did always mean to drop by the Waynes and introduce herself to Dick so he'd know that he had living family but never got around to it. She meant to tell Tim but it always slipped her mind. Suddenly it was too late. It was one of her last regrets. Jack either completely forgot about the connection to Richie Wayne or actively didn't care or was disdainful towards the whole situation and wanted no part in revealing any evidence of his father in law's past affairs. In any case, he wasn't about to mention it to Tim either and then it was too late for him to say anything.

A decade and some change after that day at the circus, random DNA check because of potential dopplegangers let Dick and Tim discover they have a blood relationship.

Cass too, the only good thing that David Cain does for Cass is being related to Mary Grayson and Janet Drake. David was, like Mary, the result of an affair and he never met or knew about his sisters. Janet was the only legitimate sibling.

Janet, Mary, and David's mutual parent was their father who never met a woman he didn't like, though he was also a very big fan of mutual consent.

Anyways, I'm also vibing with him being a fan of mutual consent. I'll add on that he asks and then immediately disengages if the other party expressed disinterest or discomfort. Some people try to badger others into "consent," especially back then. If someone has told you no 5 times and then says yes the 6th time you've asked, they aren't consenting. They're giving in.

Anyways, imma built up this grandpa's background a bit. I hc that he beats the shit out of people who do the badgering or straight up don't ask for consent. He's obviously dead in current days (when everyone finds out they are related), but he was quite the force when he was alive.

OH HAI!!!! Oh my god I love headcanons so much I promise, but I'm one of those people who immediately forgets them all when I'm asked about them. Also I forgot which ones are mine and which ones are someone elses, thought tbh if someone HC is good enough for me to think I made it then like, that would be a huge compliment to me haha! X3

I have a few that I can think of off the top of my head right now, there's a few that need a whole post to explain but I'll do that when I feel like it, gonna leave out any LGBT headcanons because I already agree with everyone else, they are all gay and trans except the ones that aren't and that's so awesome.

Again forgive me if I repeat someone else's HC, or if anything I say is proven to not be possible, I fucking forgorrrrr;

SMG3 has tattoos, I know I've shown that one already but listen. He has 3, one is a half sleeve on his left forearm that's got a skull and a bunch of bombs and explosions around it, another one is on his right mid thigh which is a memorial tattoo for Terence, and one very small one on his back right shoulder blade that's just a little skull (it's very blown out and old). He'd like to get more at some point, none of the others have any tattoos but he's trying to convince them to get one.

All the SMG's have the little arrow thing that was on their guardian pod as a marking somewhere on their body, SMG1 has his on his chest under his scarf, SMG2 has his under his hat, SMG3 has his on his lower back, and SMG4 has his on the back of his neck, they're all pretty hidden and not too visible, but anytime they use their meme guardian powers they glow.

Tari is just a bird fan in general, for someone who stays inside gaming she sure knows every single bird ever. She's not a bird watcher but she can identify any bird you show her easily, and she's always happy and excited to see bird when she does go out. Obviously though ducks are her favourite, but she like all waterfowl in general.

Karen is divorced, she just gives me divorced girl energy. She has full custody of her kids because her ex was a piece of shit and didn't want them anyway, her kids were all too young to know about him thankfully. She probably got married right out of highschool or something, those relationships never seem to work out. I keep thinking of those "day in the life of a divorced 23 year old" videos like, that's her lol.

Bob's secret hobby is fabric work, you will catch him dead before you catch him admitting or even showing anything he makes, but he makes garments and furniture for fun. Sometimes he'll throw them into the black market and lie about their value for a quick buck and to clear out space, he doesn't care much once they're completed he just likes making them.

I think this one's just semi canon, but SMG4 Mario is secretly really good at reading people, yeah he's kinda dumb but he can pick up what people are feeling in depth, he just doesn't always get why. He's also just a good guy to go to for comfort, not advised though don't listen to him, he's just really good to ramble/vent too (mainly because he won't remember what you said lol).

I noticed you people like when I make long posts like these and I love them too so I think I can share some hcs of mine about this stage of their relationship bc I have a lot honestly :]

- they started dating when they were around 16yo

- none of them actually had feelings for each other before puberty hit and they were like "damn my bestie is kinda fine- WHAT"

- Bal fell first. Ambrosius fell and broke the floor under him bc boyyyy did he fall HARD

- Bal navigated his feelings like "Ugh okay I guess that's what happens when you're friends with a handsome guy everyone has a crush on. That'll pass. That's part of puberty. Stay calm" meanwhile Ambrosius screamed in his pillow and freaked out and cried only to pretend nothing bothered him. It was hard to pretend when you literally study at the same academia/school/whatever and see each other every day bc you're best friends

- during the mutual pining era the PE lessons were DIFFICULT. Especially when they were put up against each other

- they look like friends who had no problem hugging/brushing each other's hair/being close physically in general yet when the feelings appeared, the things which used to be very easy turned torturous

- Ballister was the one to ask if Ambrosius saw that their friendship changed. Ambrosius couldn't hold it in anymore and mumbled through his confession so fast and awkward Ballister has only understood phrases like "I really like you" and "romantically I mean" and "you're very cool and that'd be sick if we became boyfriends"

- Ambrosius wanted it to go as smoothly as possible so he watched romantic movies and practiced kissing with his hand (embarrassing? Yeah I now) but when it was time to finally show off his skills he panicked and pressed his lips to Ballister's for a few seconds then his nose almost bled out bc of the nerves (not me projecting on Ambrosius but that's literally what happened to me when I had my first kiss)

- Ballister seemed calm about this whole thing but it doesn't mean he was. When they had their first ever date he brushed his teeth extra clear just to make sure he'd smell good during their first kiss. Bro was THRILLED

- basically Ambrosius was overthinking this and Ballister was... Also overthinking I'M SORRY THESE TWO ARE HORRIBLE

Now the headcanons are for the time when they've been dating for like more than a few months and have kinda got used to each other in this new ~romantic~ way

- Bal's way of flirting wasn't really obvious since he doesn't look like a guy who can come up with romantic compliments on the spot, however I think he touched Ambrosius if he wanted to express his feelings for him. Stroke his bleach-damaged hair, make their pinkies intertwine, put his head on his shoulder and nuzzle into him - this or he'd infodump new history/physics/chemistry facts he learnt

Bal: Okay, did you know that [some really complicated science stuff I cannot describe in words because I'm a literature major]

Ambrosius, heart-eyed, no clue what he's talking about: Wow that's really interesting anyways do you want me to change my surname to Boldheart-

- Ambrosius looks like a total theatre kid so I think he often flirted with Bal by quoting some love poems they had in their curriculum. Of course he quoted their analogue of Romeo's monologue under Juliet's balcony why do you think he wouldn't

- Having said that, whenever he quoted something which referred to a woman, he changed pronouns and general words bc he's attentive like that. Sometimes it got absurd tho. "Manservant of the moon" instead of "maid" like dude😭😭😭😭

- Ballister tried his best not to laugh but also not to pass out bcuz of the amount of praise his boyfriend gave him which was actually a lot. My man is as much of a mess as Ambrosius is let's not forget that

Like, for a straight woman, her gaydar worked flawlessly😭 it was enough for her to see them hide the fact that they held hands to go "I know what you are". She was pretty supportive although she did ask Bal on their one-to-one meeting to "use protection" like all moms do🖐

- The Director also knew something was up but her reaction was more like "Sir Ambrosius will grow out of it". As you know, he never did LMAOO

- Todd was hilariously oblivious despite teasing Ambrosius like "HAHA LOLLLL GOLDENLOIN WHY R U ALWAYS WITH THIS COMMONER GUY ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH HIM OR SOMETHING". He did it in a cishetero "haha gotta mock my homie for being gay" yet DID NOT REALIZE his homie was, indeed, gay

cabin 12//dionysus children headcanons

a/n: the hcs will be edited and updated as i come up with more of them

dionysus kids get the least elegant and most humiliating claiming ever.

they show up at camp and mr d's already claimed them, before trying to trick them into bringing him wine. when chiron comes in and stops them, mr d sends them away to their cabin.

it definitely feels weird knowing that their dad is a few meters away from them, when all their friends complain that they've never even seen their godly parents.

their hair is a burgundy/bronge colour, usually curly. for some their eyes seem purple in certain lighting, but they're most green or brown.

not very athletic. they prefer ditching training and just laying around, either at the strawberry fields or in the woods with the satyrs.

they like collecting grape vines and making ropes with them. for no particular reason, they just do it to keep their hands busy when they're bored.

a lot of dionysus kids have bipolar or bpd.

these kids can use mania better than others, tho it came with the expense of their own health.

they like hanging out with the demeter cabin at the strawberry fields.

they love junk food.

they also can't keep their cabin clean to save their lives. on inspection days they just shove everything under or in their closet and call it a day. the next day it's worse.

dionysus kids either love or hate drinking wine. some find it the best alcoholic beverage and others think it's disgusting (but they drink other stuff).

a common misconception is that dionysus kids are irresponsible alcoholics when in reality they rarely drink. but when they do drink, they consume gallons of alcohol.

some get easily drunk and the rest of their siblings tease them for it.

some of the older siblings smoke weed with demeter kids.

they all have weird hobbies or small collections (one of the reasons why their cabin is always so clustered)

at the back of their cabin is a watermelon garden. it's been there for decades, though no one knows who started it, and they keep it for the sake of keeping it.
