You don’t have to “run away and start over”. You can always have a fresh start at any point of time. Today, tonight, tomorrow? Maybe a month later. What’s important is that, you can do it whenever you want and wherever you want. You can do it and I trust you. 𐙚 🤍

resting is productive. doing nothing or engaging in activities outside the work field actually has a name, “creative leisure,” and it’s what fuels us to keep us alive and well.
resting our body & mind and doing nothing “productive” (from a capitalistic viewpoint) is precisely the best thing we, as humans (remember, we’re not machines!!), can do to be more productive and live better.
so yes, don’t answer that message outside your work hours, shut down your work computer, and go grab some snacks to watch that movie you’ve been trying to find time for and then go take a nap ♡

maybe it's bc I just got out of the shower and have the Post Shower Motivation Boost but like. sometimes the best things someone can do to improve their day-to-day life isn't like the Big Monumental Lifestyle Changes and "buy this 20-step self help book/guided journal/fancy planner" (not to say I don't have my own fancy planner that I forgot to write in for a month) but more like. little changes/alternatives in daily habits that can help curb bad habits (without necessarily trying to abruptly cut them off) and making the shit you Can't Avoid more bearable where you can
If you have a habit of scrolling social media first thing in the morning and getting mad/upset/overstimulated before you even get out of bed but cutting out the Morning Scroll hasn't worked, or you need your phone on/close by and can't put it across the room to avoid morning scrolling altogether? Get an ebook (I recommend using Libby bc we love supporting public libraries) and put the app icon where your usual Morning Scroll social media usually is. chances are you'll go off of muscle memory and hit the same spot on your phone you usually do for your social media and open your ebook instead. And you'll probably either realize you were gonna get in a morning scroll loop and stop yourself and get started with your day... or you'll read your book and you still satisfy the part of your brain that Wants To Scroll while reading something less overstimulating than just post after post after post on social media
If you have work/schoolwork to do late at night and don't have time/opportunity to just go "fuck it" and do it in the morning? Sometimes it helps to get something comfy and put on music/ambience to help fit a certain Vibe while you work. Lo-fi is one of my go-tos, but putting on a dark/light academia mix with ambient noise like rain/writing sounds playing quietly in the background (this usually involves two youtube tabs) is also one of my usual choices because, while it unfortunately doesn't make my work magically done faster/due later so I can get to bed, it does help to sometimes feel like I'm a Pristine Scholar pursuing Crucial Academic Studies and not a tired college student who just wants to get their paper done and go to sleep
If you have a hard time getting up in the mornings/getting through a morning routine? If you can - if you have a long enough morning routine/a living environment where it's safe/not disruptive to do so - take some of your favorite music, or any kind of music that makes you feel a little happier/less worried or tired, and don't make it your alarm - you'll likely associate it with having to get up and start to dislike it - but make it the music to which you set your morning routine. (Use earbuds if you're worried about waking roommates/family.) It won't make the morning come any later/give you more time to sleep, but in my experience, this made me look forward to getting to carry out my morning routine and thus... look forward more to the mornings themselves
And... yeah. It wont fix everything but sometimes just changing habits here and there can be really helpful

Exploring Influences on Children's Mental Well-being and the Journey to Health
Tumblr media
The surge in children's mental health issues concerns parents due to:
Sleep patterns: Late sleep affects detox, heightening stress. A proper schedule supports hormonal balance.
Addictions: Substance use contributes to anxiety and depression. Educating about risks is vital.
Poor diet: Regular junk food impacts mental health. Emphasizing a balanced diet is crucial.
Excessive screen time: Digital exposure leads to negativity and bullying. Limiting screen time promotes mental well-being.
Addressing these factors significantly improves kids' mental health. Samskrt specializes in reversal. Learn more about ayurvedic treatments by clicking here

What to do today for getting out of your survival brain?
First start with your basic physical needs.
Drink 10 glasses of water
Sleep at 11pm if you can (or just earlier than you normally do)
Don't eat unhealthy food (eat at least one fruit and some nuts)
Take your vitamins if your doctor gave you some. (Go and get your blood tested if you didn't and learn if you have vitamin deficiency.)
Go for a walk (or just stay at home and dance to your favourite songs. You can close the lights if it feels to weird.)
These were your basic needs for your body to survive. You can't expect others to work if you don't give importance to these basic ones.
Take a bath. Be clean and use your favourite parfume after.
Then go to your room and read a book / watch videos about your hobbies and interests / post something or just spend time on your tumblr or other social media accounts / watch a movie or anime or rewatch something you love / watch funny videos on youtube.
The important thing here is that you do these for some time but don't mindlessly use your phone for hours. Be thoughtful of how much time you spend online but make your mind stay busy at the same time.
Eat good food and fruits and nuts. Drink water and read a book.
Listen to music and allow yourself to move with the rhythm. You have to remind your brain that everything is ok and you can still enjoy things.
Drink some tea to help you fall asleep.
Have some squishy toys or make paper squishy toys yourself.
Find some items that make you feel better that you can hold in your hand. (for example I have my korean chopsticks)
Being warm helps a lot. Stay warm. Don't let yourself feel cold. It will make you feel more uneasy. My hot water bag helps a lot but stay safe, don't burn yourself.
Listen to asmr videos if you enjoy them. I do this before I sleep and sometimes after I wake up.

Wise Mind is the state of mind where the Reason side of your mind and the Emotion side of your mind, work together
Reasonable mind or the reason side of your mind is all about logic and hard facts and is task-focused.
Emotion mind (emotion side of mind) is all about those emotions and feelings, and ruled by urges.
Combining them in Wise Mind means seeing both sides and recognizing their value, then acting or existing in that balance where they work together. Think of it as finding the best of both worlds.
This requires a whole lot of active practicing before it can become habit.
Another way to look at Wise Mind is the middle path between being and doing. Being mind is present oriented, while Doing mind is goal oriented/
Some ways to practice Wise Mind:
-when making decisions take note of which mind is making the decision, or is the strongest factor.
-when presented with a problem, make a chart or Venn-diagram and note what thoughts/feelings/urges you are having and which mind they fall under. Then think about how to combine them into wise mind.
-general meditation and mindfulness activities will help with this awareness as well Wise Mind is the state of mind where the Reason side of your mind and the Emotion side of your mind, work together

Simple Self-Care Habits to Improve Well-being
Life can get overwhelming, and it’s easy to overlook self-care when trying to keep up. Sometimes, you only think about yourself once you reach the burnout stage. You can avoid this by adopting daily self-care habits.
1. Choose an activity for the day
You can go for a walk, to the gym, or do some home workouts. Physical activity is helpful for your physical as well as your mental self-care.
2. Hydrate
It is possible to forget to hydrate on busy days. This is a self-care habit that is crucial for your health. A good tip for daily hydration is to carry a labeled water bottle for a reminder.
3. Have dedicated break times
There are times when you bring work home or on your lunch breaks. Refrain from doing this by scheduling break times reserved for rest and not work.
4. Set a good routine & schedule
Without these, you’re more likely to rush throughout the day. Rushing can lead to more stress, which can affect your mental and physical health.

Sometimes we all need a reminder, that even if we were doing so well in our recovery it’s ok to fall down. It’s just apart of the process, and your continuous growth. You just have to get back up again.
Keep pushing.
People are out there cheering and rooting for you even when you don’t see it.
You’re doing great, I’m so proud of you. 🦋✨
