2. for the next itmf: are there any fics where wangxian just enlope and leave everyone behind to deal with it? where there are actual, something that makes the characters actually feel the, im not sure if this is the right word, consequences of an enlopement? or that wangxian just gave up making other people accept their love and just do what they want? like they don't care that they don't have approval.

Kai and pirate darling is golden, but your stranded darling makes me think how have I never put Kai and Darling in a little mermaid scenario - Stranded Royal darling meets Kaimana after escaping their kingdom to avoid marrying the princess of another. They confess their reasoning for fleeing is they long to find love born of a true connection with another. Maybe they become a pirate along the way or something adjacent. Either way, Kaimana decides he is what Darling is searching same as they're all he's ever wanted from a lover. Kai's ready to fashion rings out of whatever he can get his hands on when Darling mentions they've smiled more around Kaimana in one afternoon more than they had in the entire months they had to deal with their "fiancee". The answer Darling gives when Kaimana asks if they'll ever return home is what concretes in his mind they are soulmates.

"Possibly....If I find my true love. The only way I can get out of this marriage and return to my old life is by having a child with someone else. My family is quick to disregard someone who is not to their standards, but they cannot turn anyway a child that shares their blood."

Kaimana doesn't care as much about living in a castle as he does raising a happy family with his Darling. Within they remain on the island or return to Darling's homeland he just wants to be with them and whatever children they're able to conceive (or adopt - he isn't picky). The thought of being a King/Queen is alluring.... Just so he has more people to gush about his wonderful spouse and children to. Would probably bite someone's head off for touching his babies when it's likely just the maid staff offering to take over for him while he recovers.

Details of the AU under the cut:

The AU is set years ago in the era of pirates and there are sirens (I know I said mermaids but they're actually sirens). Cole, Jay, Zane and Pixal (Zane and Pixal are humans) are pirates; Kai and Nya are sirens and Lloyd is a hybrid.

First off, sirens. Sirens are predators who decieve and hunt humans using their melodic voice and appereance. Sometimes they eat the humans they've hunt down but most of the times they eat other fish. To decieve humans they can change the upper part of their bodies to look human; all sirens are intersex (each one with more masculine or feminine traits) so they can change into both male and female humans (Kai is usually a man and Nya a woman but they sometimes change). Sirens can form groups or hunt alone. Kai and Nya lost their parents when they were little and have been on their own since then, barely having any contact with other sirens. Most sirens have blue to green characteristics but sometimes there are ones with other colors like Kai; that's usually a disadvantage since it atracts other predators.

Kai doesn't like humans at all and usually fights other sea creatures (like sharks). He doesn't like deep waters either.

On the other hand, Nya is interested in humans, mostly their inventions and is really curious. Unlike Kai, she does like really deep waters. They're both very protective to each other and Lloyd.

Then, Zane and Pixal had an arranged wedding they didn't like (Gay and lesbian solidarity) so they decided to run away and join the pirates, the ones of the Destiny's bounty.

Cole is a member of the pirates and became one to find a treasure and get money for his village. He often feels bad because he couldn't afford his mother's medicine and he blames himself for her death.

Jay has been a pirate for the longest time. At first he just wanted the adventure but then he kind of regreted his decision (until he bonds with everyone). He's really skilled.

The captain of the Bounty is... an asshole so... mutiny(?) , eventually Cole will be the captain (because he is a good leader) and Jay the second in command.

As for Lloyd, he is a hybrid: Misako is human and Garmadon a siren. Wu and Garmadon are considered mythical creatures so Lloyd is basically unique. He lives in a small house next to the sea after Misako passed away. When he was a kid he had an encounter with Kai and Nya and, after a while, they became friends. Now Kai and Nya have adopted him as their little brother and go visit often. Lloyd treats their wounds as well as other sea creatures, he's a healer (vet?). Eventually he'll go with the Bounty's crew.

As for ships obviously plasma and samurai but also glacier.

The reason Bruce lives so close to the surface is because of his sons; none of them (except Jason) can live in deep waters, so Bruce is forced to live near the surface. This is not good for his health, but he ain't telling and no one is asking.

He was raised by Alfred, a navy soldier who dedicated his life to operating submarines on solo missions. Alfred would always visit Bruce when he was little, but once he grew old enough and Alfred retired, Bruce would be the one doing the visiting. After retaiment fron the navy, Alfred became some kind of mermaid biologist, but really lives from his retaiment money and doesn't publish his works.

Near the shore, where Alfred lives, during one of Bruce visits, is when the Graysons are killed, and Bruce adopts Dick.

When Dick begins his migratory travels (his species being migratory, and there's no fight with Bruce about it), Bruce meets Jason, who was orphaned because his mother died from a chemical spill near Gotham, and his father was killed by the coast guard for sinking ships for human mafias. Tim joins after Jason is (incorrectly) assumed dead by poachers. His mother died during labor, and his father is never present in his life, only visiting occasionally to bring food. Tim is both scared and admires Bruce, who is called "The Bat" by humans because, since Jason's death, he has been sinking all kinds of ships that get close to Gotham's shore. Damian joins after being kicked out of the al Ghul family because he didn't inherit any of Bruce's genes and wasn't of the same species. Instead, he ends up as a barracuda like the rest of his family, just a darker color.

Bruce is somewhat of a local legend/hero in the city of Gotham because he would save boats from poachers and pirates, as well as sinking contraband ships. But during his time sinking ships after the "death" of Jason is when Superman and the Justice League hear about him and think there is a monster in Gotham waters... but in the end, he falls in love.

The only one who can actually talk with the family is Aquaman, so they have a good friendship.

Poor little blue tang mermaid has swam so far, she’s ended up in the Atlantic now. It’s been such a chore trying to find her home…

But she knew she was getting closer once the water became warmer.

She was lucky to be able to hide in time before a great white shark merman spotted her. He was a massive merman covered in scars from fisherman, pirates, and boats. And his presence was terrifying. But he didn’t seem to mind her, if anything Jack seemed curious on how a cute little mermaid like her ended up near his domain. He doesn’t speak much but she notices how territorial he is so she stays far away from his space.

Jack chases off Lemon Shark merman Kaoru and his goons a lot of the time. Kaoru is covered in even more scars than Jack is but he’s a little easier to speak to. Kaoru pops up in her reef here and there with various shells and gifts he found. He’s very straight to the point about what he wants. And Jack hates him. Jack chases him off and throws out any gifts Kaoru tries to bring the little mermaid.

It takes a long time to get out of that section of the sea. Kaoru is hard to escape from and he’s fast (same with Jack). But he back off once the little mermaid reaches a certain point in the ocean. That’s when she notices Orca merman Katsumi and his dolphin mermaid buddies (sharks don’t mess with dolphins and orcas).

Katsumi is super friendly. He even offers her to ride on his back since they’re heading towards that side of the ocean anyways. He talks a lot about anything and everything. But he takes it up a notch with her. Isn’t he so cool? The little mermaid would be so safe with him since they travel in groups.

But when the mermaid notices they’re heading in the wrong direction, she has to make plans to escape. Especially when Katsumi drones on and on about offspring.

With the help of beluga merman Doppo, his adopted father whose concerned on if she can even carry Katsumi’s offspring, she’s able to get away. And she ends up back in her reef.

Lionfish merman Baki cries when he sees her. She’s been gone for so long and he’s been so worried! How could she leave him and puffer fish mermaid Kozue?

Once she explains her situation, her friends forgive her. Especially because a certain Bullshark merman (Jun) has been harassing them about her whereabouts.

A shame all the suitors across the seven seas don’t want the little blue tang mermaid to be mateless. She’s going to be getting a lot of company over the next few months until she accepts one…

First GFM is organized by Tasnim Alhamss (on line #663 of OOB's spreadsheet), who is still trying to evacuate her sister's 3 children as well as her brother's 3 daughters. They're just a little over $2K from their goal. They're so close!

Second GFM is organized by Layal Qudaih (on line #844 of OOB's spreadsheet), who is trying to evacuate newlyweds Hala and Abd Al Aziz, as well as Hala's elderly mother, Amal. Hala was 7 months pregnant when the GFM was created in February. It is now August. That means there is now a baby, just a few months old, who needs evacuating too. They have only achieved 67% of their goal as of writing this post.

One day, the witch disappears, and the villagers destroy the house. Without the witch to take care of them, Hansel and Gretel are alone and distraught. They attempt to imagine a world for them to live in, away from the people who want to hurt them. However, they imagine different worlds, and so the siblings are separated.

Hansel and Gretel's names are actually Peter and Alice. Peter imagines a world with pirates and mermaids and lost boys. Alice imagines a world with tea parties and talking caterpillars and painted roses.

The witch disappeared because she was trapped inside a mirror.

Aurora is forced to marry the prince of a neighbouring kingdom and turns to Maleficent for help.

Snow White loves Aurora. Snow's aunt, Maleficent, tries to help out by introducing the two. Aurora's fairy godmother, secretly an evil queen, doesn't approve and curses both girls into eternal sleep.

Prince Charming is childhood best friends with Snow. He kisses her forehead, which wakes her up. Snow attempts to kiss Aurora, but the nature of the curse means that she cannot go near Aurora. Aurora remains asleep.

Prince Charming doesn't go after the mystery princess and is forced to marry Snow after saving her. However, he rather likes newest servant girl - who is Cinderella, of course.

Ursula rescues the mermaid girls from their abusive father, Triton. They seek aid from above. The humans help them overthrow Triton, and the seas are divided so each of the princesses rule a different part. The sea and the land are now united.

Triton returns to his wife, the Evil Queen.

Goldilocks is homeless, and hides in the bears' house after being caught stealing food. When the bears return, they take pity on her and offer to take care of her. Goldilocks is raised by the bears.

Pinnochio was once a real boy who was cursed by the blue fairy (evil queen) after Gepetto refused to build the Magic Mirror for her. Gepetto builds a portal to send Pinnochio somewhere where a puppet can live. Pinnochio lands in Wonderland as a living puppet who can see through lies.

Alice, also known as The White Queen, falls in love with a madman who has an obsession with hats. Her adoptive sister, The Queen Of Hearts, is busy weaving a romance for a girl called Belle.

Belle, who lives with her inventor father Rumplestiltskin, gets sucked into one of her books. She falls in love with a character known as The Beast, and she becomes a fairy to free them from their curse. However, she can't stay with them, and she returns to the real world, and to her father.

Little Red Riding Hood is raised by the Werewolf, but she gets lost when she's little and the Werewolf thinks she intentionally ran away. The mother adopts her, and the Werewolf is really angry believing that the humans stole his child, and he swears revenge on the family.

Little Red Riding Hood meets a girl with golden hair who speaks Bear.

Rapunzel is a trans girl who is desperate to transition, but she is cursed to be stuck looking like a boy. Her adoptive mother is a sorceress who rescued her from an evil witch who wanted revenge on the vain royal family. She tells her mother that she is in fact a woman, and her mother searches for a spell to transition her.

Teenage Peter Pan flies to other worlds in search of his sister, but doesn't find her. However, he does find other girls and helps them. For example, a young princess called Rapunzel, who he brings back to Neverland for a little while and teaches her confidence, or Belle, who brings her father and chooses to stay with Peter, becoming the inventor fairy known as Tinkerbelle.

The Gingerbread House Witch is still trapped inside the Magic Mirror, which is unstable because it was made with dark magic. Maleficent employs Gepetto to study the Mirror, so she can free the Gingerbread House Witch, and hopefully find a way to wake up Aurora. She promises to restore Pinnochio if he helps, so he agrees.

The Werewolf finds Red Riding Hood and she remembers him. She takes him to meet her human family.

Peter Pan falls in love with a handsome teenage pirate captain.

Pinnochio lives with Hatter and Alice in Wonderland, and The Queen Of Hearts is now trying to fix things for Tinkerbelle.

Tinkerbelle falls in love with Peter's newest friend, Wendy, who can see dreams and stories.

Gepetto and Maleficent free the Gingerbread House Witch from the mirror, and they build another portal to Wonderland to try and find Pinnochio. Gepetto and Pinnochio reunite, as do the Gingerbread House Witch and Peter.

Maleficent stays behind to try and cure Aurora.

Charming, Cinderella and Snow go into the enchanted forest to try and find a cure for Aurora, and they find Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks, who help them survive in the forest. They meet the Dwarves who run an inn.

The Evil Queen and Triton discover Wonderland.

Charming, Cinderella and Snow leave the forest after finding nothing, to discover everyone else has gone to Wonderland and Maleficent is helping Aurora alone.

While the Queen of Hearts is trying to help Tinkerbelle, she spots Peter, and shows Alice, who tries to get to him but the Evil Queen smashes the Looking Glass.

Wendy begins to see the dreams of Aurora, and shows Tinkerbelle. Tinkerbelle makes the Captain's ship fly, and they ride Aurora's dreams into Aurora's world, where they meet Maleficent, Charming, Cinderella and Snow.

Peter trades his immortality, giving half his life to Aurora to wake her up.

Tinkerbelle, Peter, the Captain, Rumplestiltskin, Maleficent, Wendy, Aurora, Snow, Charming, Cinderella and the Lost Boys go through the portal to Wonderland.

Peter, Alice, and the Gingerbread House Witch reunite. Yay!

Pinnochio reveals that Cinderella is the mystery princess, and she confesses her love for Charming

BATTLE TIME

Triton sends his whole army of sea creatures and monsters.

Rumplestiltskin and Tinkerbelle build weapons for Alice's army

The Hatter and Cinderella make the armour

Wendy, Charming and the Lost Boys take care of the people

A crocodile tries to get to Peter, but the Captain takes his place. The crocodile bites off the Captain's hand.

There's a fair bit of fighting

Triton cuts off Maleficent's wings

Aurora and Snow raise an army of animals, the ravens supporting Maleficent and being her wings.

Triton becomes the Kraken, but he is defeated by the Gingerbread House Witch, who sends him god knows where.

The Evil Queen becomes the Jabberwocky, attacking Wonderland. The Queen Of Hearts fights her, cutting off the Jabberwocky's head and causing the Evil Queen to take her mortal form.

The Evil Queen makes one last desperate attempt, threatening to burn Pinnochio if they don't surrender

Geppeto becomes furious, sending the Evil Queen into a portal that causes her to fall to her death.

All curses are lifted.

The Captain takes a piece of Triton's trident and attaches it to a piece of metal, then attaches that to his hand. It looks like a hook, but it looks cool, so he keeps it.

Peter and Alice imagine hard enough that they manage to combine Neverland and Wonderland into one huge world. In the centre of it all, there is a Gingerbread Palace.

SAM AND MAX MERMAID AU1!!11!1!!!1

Ok this is an au ive been wokring on for a while now and im so so so excited to talk about it

SO obv this is like a mermaid au, i have more for it (like sybil granny ruth n papierwaite but this is the art i have 4 now) bc i love love LOVE mermaids!1!!!1 (i made sam and max mermaid pride art but i loved it so much i turned that /j into /srs) SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO

So Sam and Max met at little guppies, like how they met in canon but in the sea, and after Max hospitalized Samʼs bullies with his natural toxins, he and Sam became best friends 4ever. Sam and Max lived in the outskirts of the biggest city in the merfolk kingdom, Samʼs parents left Sam when he was still an egg with Granny Ruth, who is one of the kingdomʼs fiercest n most respected warriors, to move to colder waters in Alaska, where Samʼs family partially originated from. So Sam was raised by Ruth, when Sam was just hatched, his grandfather Leo had died fighting against the humans to protect the kingdom. Max came from a family with loads and loads of kids, (some of which had been either kidnapped or eaten by predators :( ), and probably not a very good home life, so he hung out at Ruthʼs cave with Sam almost every night. As Sam and Max grew up, so did their love for one another. Once they were old enough they moved closer to the shore, where they take up cases for fun, and make sure humans dont get too close. They obviously got married as soon as they could, and spend their time adventuring and scavenging. Occasionaly they will go to human markets, selling fish theyve hunted for money to buy cool weapons and food, but otherwise they like to mess around with pirates and ships. They also like to hang out and have lunch with their friends who claim to be human, Papierwaite and his adopted child Sammun-Mak, who run a museum and live on the edge of the shore, easy access and all.

One day, while exploring a cool shipwreck, they found a little egg, Max, instantly infatuated by it, begged Sam to take it home, so they did. Eventually that egg hatched and they had a kid of their own :) (GEEK!!!) Max unfortunately wasnt allowed to touch her, as he might poison her. Though their baby was always ill and burned so easily, even though Max hadnt touched her! always squinting and shocking them. Confused, they went to Granny Ruth for help. under further investigation they deducted that their baby was an electric eel! Which usually live in freshwater, so she was extra fragile. Though as she got older, she grew stronger, and shockingly smarter, always researching and making devices.

Thiiiiiiird thing! Nightmare in his spooky form is very skittish and would usually run away from anyone instead of attacking them. Unless they have food. He’s also about 7ft tall (minus horns) on his hind legs and about 3.5 ft tall at the shoulder on all fours.

- I might call it Lost in the Deep? I know that’s the name of my Ink-adopting-NM AU but honestly it fits this one a lot better

- Not everyone will be a mermaid/siren/sea monster, in fact only a few

- I’ve never actually done sailing or anything, so I apologize in advance if I misuse terms or something: :,)

a long-awaited sneak peak of the story concept I utterly failed to ignore

a.k.a. the Little Mermaid gets adopted by pirates who are hired to kidnap the prince she may or may not have saved :D

A knock sounded on the door. Captain Harlock’s eyes flitted over to the prince, but he said, “Come in.”

The door opened, and in walked a girl that was so stunning she looked like she belonged in a painting.

She wore the plainest clothing Lorcan had ever seen - a skirt that had clearly been fashioned out of an old sail and a beige blouse - but she wore them with the grace of a princess. Hands so pale and dainty they looked like alabaster held a tray and hair so glossy and black it looked like the depths of the sea was pulled back with a simple gray handkerchief. There was a choker with a single pearl attached to it around her neck.

On the tray was a hunk of bread with a knife sticking out of it, a pot of something that smelled like coffee, two crude mugs that had been fashioned out of scraps of metal, and a little bowl of sugar cubes. She breezed by the prince and set the tray on the desk before the captain.

“Is it tea time already?” Harlock said, taking the tray from her. “Thank you, Lassie. I would’ve forgotten if it weren’t for you.”

These pirates made time for tea? Lorcan had a sudden vivid image of Harlock making him walk the plank while sipping a cup of tea with his pinky out.

The girl smiled at Harlock and turned around to leave - but when she spotted Lorcan, she froze. Her coral-colored eyes slowly widened to the size of dinner plates.

Then, without so much as a “goodbye”, she ran out of the captain’s quarters.

“Hmm. Strange,” Harlock commented from the desk. 

Lorcan leaned sideways to catch a glimpse of the girl as she hurried downstairs. He turned back to the captain. “Who was she?” 

“Lassie?” Harlock started pouring tea into the mugs. “She’s our little free spirit. She sorta flirts about from one thing to the next on our ship - she’s mesmerized by almost anything. She’s usually much more friendly, though. One lump or two?”

“Er . . . one lump.” Lorcan wasn’t about to refuse tea from a pirate who could kill him any second. “Where did she come from?”

“Well, we’re not really sure,” Harlock said, dropping a sugar cube into one of the mugs. “We found her in the middle of the sea with nothing but a pearl. I mean, absolutely nothing. Had to use an old sail for some of her clothes. Here you go.”

That was maybe a bit more information than Lorcan needed. He took the mug from the captain and took a sip to distract himself from scandalous thoughts he had no business thinking - and nearly spat the tea out. 

“This is scalding!” Lorcan cried. “Are you trying to burn my tongue off?!”

“Yeah, that’d be Melshi,” Harlock said, dropping two sugars into his own mug. “He’s our cook. He has a habit of boiling the water for a bit too long. He has a habit of cooking everything for a bit too long, actually.” He sipped on his tea and seemed to relish in the extra-hot liquid. “Mm, just the way I like it.” 

“You’re all deranged,” Lorcan said. “All of you. I can’t survive much more of this.”

“Feel free to die, Your Highness. Care for some bread?”

Lorcan would’ve thrown his hands in the air, but then he would’ve sploshed the hot tea all over himself and probably die from first-degree burns instead of the pirates. “Fine.”

Ideas that first popped into my mind when certain OCs came to exist… Neri: it's a show about pirates, there's GOT to be a mermaid Niara: I want a character that uses a devil fruit mmmh what about plants/flowers (strangely enough, none of my pokemon oc's ever cared much about the grass type lol) Azura: I want a cool sword fighting lady Cordelia: I want a hot fierce type of character that looks good in black and that doesn't take anyone's crap Ellaria: came into the picture much later, I only recently decided somewhat on her looks, only things I know for sure is pale green eyes and can sort of see the future. Might never make it into any kind of story but she popped into my mind so here we go. Ginny: falls into the category "looks cute but can probably kill you".

I answered a percabeth post thinking the person wanted a suggestion to write a pirate fanfic, but the page only wanted a fanfic that exists. I already deleted my answer. But, here is my ideia if someone wants a suggestion:

Annabeth could be a pirate (the leader) and Percy could be a merman that can turn into human, who Annabeth falls in love with. But, Percy is very protective of an island (where they meet each other), but Annabeth wants to explore as much as she can and find many treasures. Annabeth only knows this life of pirate because she was abandoned as a kid and was adopted by two pirates (Luke and Thalia). Then, Percy could try to teach Annabeth that power and treasures are not everything. He would change the real treasures for fake ones and Annabeth would ask him to come with her since he seems to be lonely. Percy meets Thalia and Luke, who get suspicious of him. Luke accepts Percy, but Thalia doesn't. Annabeth teaches Percy all she knows about the human world. Annabeth and Percy would have fun together and he would ask if Annabeth wanted to meet his family. She feels a little insecure at first, but Percy ends up convincing her. He turns her into a mermaid and both pass some time under the sea and Annabeth meets Percy's family : his brothers Tyson and Grover and his parents. With Percy, Annabeth realises that she can be normal and doesn't need to worry about being perfect. She can be just herself and relax sometimes. Percy feels bad about what he did to the real treasures and doesn't know how to tell this to Annabeth. Annabeth discovers the real treasures in Percy's palace. When they go back to the human world, she tells Percy about what she found and for him to stay away from her. Percy gets sad and doesn't know how to apologize to Annabeth. What Percy didn't know is that Annabeth can have a vengeful side that doesn't forgive so easy...since her fatal flaw is hubris. They would have some problems with each other.

In the end they could forgive each other (Annabeth for invading a special place for Percy and trying to steal something from it and Percy for the lie) and become friends again after Annabeth gets hurt during a battle with evil pirates that wanted "her treasures" (the fake ones cough) and Percy heals her with his power (and something more could happen...a kiss maybe under the sea with the moon shining at night after they defeated the evil pirates or just let them go with the fake jewels). In the end, "a character could join Annabeth's pirates group (i think it's too obvious who could be 😅). The group hunts treasures to give to the poor. They search for jobs to receive money to buy food for them. Sometimes, they take some of the treasures for them too (for their clothes or to buy stuffs). The story could also have a plot twist (a short scene) showing that one of them is a traitor (who could be this one? 🤔).

1. Peter Hart is set in 17th century Great Britain, as is both a historical and fantasy pirate adventure. That is to say, the setting is on Earth, and uses both real locations and fantasy locations (some of the islands and provinces I made do not exist in the real world, while others did. Also mermaids, sea monsters, and cursed trinkets existing in this novel). The main government is the British Parliament, and Peter goes out of his way to make the Royals’ lives a living hell. He is very chaotic, anti-authoritarian, teetering on psychopathy with a smile on his jovial face 😂🏴‍☠️✨

2. Peter and Benjamin knew each other in childhood, as they grew up in the same port. Benjamin met Peter through bullying—that is, to say, Benji was part of a cohort of bullies that tormented a young Peter. Prince Benjamin was not the ringleader, nor did he ever hit or physically attack Peter, but was not above holding his status as a wealthy prince above Peter’s head. (Benjamin was a brat. He still kind of is xD)

Peter left the port at 12 years old to join his father Captain Johnathan Hart on his pirate ship: The Phoenix. Though, that wasn’t initially the plan, because a young and mischievous Peter originally crafted a raft and wanted to set sail to the fabled Isle of Gold…only to get marooned, washed up, and found by the Phoenix Gang in a twist of fate.

After Peter’s father died when Peter was 16, and left the crew in the hands of his only son, Captain Peter Hart and his gang of adoptive dads visited Port Mayor to pay his mother Mary a visit. While on his short stay, he reunited with Benjamin 14 years later….by abducting the prince from his bedroom and forcing him to experience an epic pirate adventure with himself and the Golden Phoenix Gang.

They start as enemies, and gradually grow to lovers through twists and turns throughout the novel. As they learn more about their personalities, and reasonings behind their childhood traumas, they’re able to relate to their experiences a little too well….beinging them closer and closer to trusting one another.

Listen. This would be so much fun. Whether he gets one just to get one (of course something meaningful, even if it’s the swallow they get for sailing five thousand nautical miles because that would be a huge milestone for Stede) or he gets a matching tattoo with someone (Ed, Izzy, or the entire crew) I just would LOVE to write it. Stede excited, but deep down nervous because he’s heard it can hurt so he tries to be brave but he’s actually panicking and someone is there to hold his hand through it because he probably cries a little, let’s be honest. (After it’s done, he’d claim it really wasn’t that bad after bawling for the first couple of minutes)

An AU Where Stede becomes anything but a Gentleman pirate. Perhaps he starts as such, but events eventually lead him down a dark path that he finds himself enjoying thanks to the power it gives him. He’s still referred to as The Gentleman Pirate/The Polite Menace simply because he still plays the part, but with a sadistic and violent twist. Perhaps he’s feared more than Blackbeard himself? Perhaps they meet and a relationship still ensues, becoming the most feared and powerful Pirate Captains.

Werewolf (or vampire)/Human AU:

Stede as the human that falls in love with the beast (Izzy, Ed or whoever) in which case I can write as Stede or Izzy.

Girl Dad Stede Bonnet:

Because I need some romantic, sappy, dad/family feels. Could be a child they rescued/adopted later down the line. GentleBeard, Gentlehands, etc. I wouldn’t mind this for Izzy as well.

Izzy bonding more with the crew.

Other smaller ideas such as Stede reading to Ed and/or Izzy, Izzy training Stede, Stede And Ed shenanigans at the Inn, Stede staying with the crew while Ed stays behind or both of them continuing their adventure as co-captains, Wild West AU. Merman/Human AU.

I like the idea of Stede being the human and meeting Merman Izzy and/or Ed and then later Stede becomes one. But also Stede being a mermaid and becoming a human would be fun, too. So many potential plots with this!
