I feel like it's absolutely essential to make a Wizarding World: The Marauders TV show because we can get EXCELLENT characterization for each of the characters.

James: transition from popular boy jock and bully to kind father and loving husband

Sirius: focus on his polarization with the pureblood views of the Blacks and his house status among his family

Remus: more active prejudice as rumors of his werewolf-ness go around and all he wants is to study and be normal

Peter: show him as more than the ugly, pathetic man and more as the insecure, nervous, awkward child who will do anything to fit in and survive, esp how he got to a position of betraying his best friends

Snape: how his pureblood nature conflicts with his halfbloodedness and how that lead to Lily leaving him behind for the Marauders for her own sake

Lily: how she left Snape for James and how they are both kind of horrible kids in their own ways and they fought over her despite her wishes and autonomy

Not to mention the full out wizarding war thing, the first order of the Phoenix, Neville's parents! Allegories to modern society now with propaganda and political polarization omfg i need this show

The show starts with Snape and Lily hanging out before hogwarts, Sirius getting yelled at by his parents, Lupin's parents freaking out over him while he just sits there, James parents fussing over him, and Peter just alone idfk

Ends with Voldemort killing James and Lily, Sirius at the house with Hagrid, Snape absolutely breaking down over Lily's body completely ignoring or even kicking James' corpse, Peter and Sirius' showdown on the street, Remus hearing about what all happened, and then just a final montage of them each before we get transported to Hogwarts and Dumbldore folds up the invisibility cloak and puts it in a chest and closes it with the note to Harry already signed and attached to it, and then maybe something with everybody celebrating Voldemort's death and then the Leaky Cauldron with Tom the Barman cheering "to the boy who lived!" And cut to black.

Currently at my local Cinemark watching The Prisoner of Azkaban for their yearly Back to Hogwarts event — every day this week they’re playing a Harry Potter film and by Saturday and Sunday, we’ll have made it to the Deathly Hallows Part one and two — and a thought had occurred to me. Something about Professor McGonagall KNOWING Harry’s living situation and not signing his permission slip to go to Hogsmeade or at the very least giving him a pass kinda rubs me the wrong way. I never thought about it before but like damn lady??? You know those mfs suck, you can’t give him an exception??

Thinking about how the marauders would be so obnoxious with the word “serious.”

Anytime the word would be said, they would always relate it back to Sirius. It would have started out by a joke by the man himself but everyone would catch on and it would annoy everyone around them.

“Are you serious?” Lily asked James after he spilled tea on her shirt.

“No he’s Sirius,” he would tell her and point to Sirius over in the corner and she would roll her eyes before walking away.

“Dude, you cannot be serious,” Frank Longbottom groaned out when he died in the video game.

“Actually, I am Sirius,” Sirius would say with a completely straight face but his eyes gleaming. Frank slapped him over the back of the head.

“Can you all be serious for two seconds?” screamed at the boys after catching them pulling a prank in the boy’s bathroom.

“Sorry, professor, but the only who can be Sirius is Sirius,” Peter told her with a hidden grin.

They got 20 points off from Gryffindor for that.

“Who is it? Seriously,” Mary begged Remus to tell her who it was he liked and his eyes blew wide with surprise.

“Wait, how did you know? I haven’t even told him yet,” he questioned her and at her confused but slowly turning into realization filled eyes he knew he fucked up.

“OH MY GOD IT’S SIRIUS?”

He didn’t even mean to do the joke at that moment, he just genuinely misunderstood and threw his head into his hands in embarrassment.

Everyone would just hate their bit but it would be the funniest thing in the world for them.
