The aim of which was to warn the partner with a word to signify that you wanted to stop for whatever reason. He found it interesting because the inventiveness of the word prevented it from being confused with another or a "stop" which could be misunderstood in a non/con intercourse

You'd never really needed to use the safe word because most of the time he was very gentle, his hips moving slowly and sensually, while his mouth sought yours out in loving lingering kisses

Except that today, soft and slow wasn’t really was he intended to do nor what he needed

And that’s how you ended up there on all four on your bed as he railed you from behind

You were half dressed, your pants discarded somewhere on the floor. While he only pulled his pants down his legs

“I know” you said, kissing his cheek “Maybe we can continue but in a more comfortable place ?”

“Are you sure ? I don’t want to impose myself-” He looked at you softly

You tightened the hold of your arms around his neck “Please” you said tightening your inner muscles, knowing it was going to drive him wild

“Ghh ah… in this case” he smirked “Who am I to deny you ?” and with that he brought you to your shared bedroom where he could have his way with you, knowing would be comfortable and eager to take him as much as he wants

Itachi Uchiha :

He actually was the one insisting on establishing a safe word. He knew that as an Uchiha he could easily lose control while mating with you ( yes in my hc Uchiha don’t have sex but mate )

He just needed to be sure that he wouldn’t do anything that could overwhelm you unpleasantly or harm you

A word that would help him ground himself in the present

“What about kitty ?”

“Y/n… this is supposed to ensure your well-being. Please focus”

“Okay fine” you chuckled “What about Mangekyou ?”

His eyes lit up “Yes. That would do. Good job” he said patting your head lovingly

And it was only some time later, when he entered that period in the life of the male Uchihas when having offspring became a real urge, that the safe word was used for the first time ( don’t mind if you aren’t aware of this, it’s part of my own Uchiha hc )

He then took a deep breath and used all his willpower to gently, completely stop all his movements.

He was totally out of breath, but that didn't stop him from focusing all his attention on you: "Are you all right? I didn't hurt you?" he cradled your face in his hands

Then he left you a bit to take care of himself. When he came back to bed he made sure you drank enough water before slipping into bed with you. he pulled you close to his chest, reaffirming how proud of you he was

SLENDERMAN

Physical affection with slenderman is fairly rare. Sure, he gives you the mock kiss every now and then and might even snake a tendril around you to pull you close to him if you start straying in the woods... but to actually cuddle? Good luck with that! Though.. I feel it would be likely in a moment of much needed comfort- perhaps you're sick or you just point blank ask him to hold you.. hes cold, and you can feel bones but you dont care all that much. Hes stiff as a board, though. By default hes the big spoon, will likely never be the little spoon ever. Sometimes wraps his tentacles around you if you need to get even closer 4/10 because I love him but cuddling with him would be so so rare

SPLENDORMAN

Runs more on the warmer side! Loves being the big spoon, and of course hes very tall! Sometimes hums when you two lean into one another. Rocks you too as well, if you ask him to. Very touch starved so he attempts to seek you out every now and then.. not very soft though thanks to being very thin. He likes carrying you around! Hope you're not afraid of heights! 8/10

EYELESS JACK

I've mentioned a few times that hes very cold to the touch.. like ice cold. So unless you're into that, cuddling him might be a little.. hmm.. not that some blankets cant fix though! My headcanon is that hes on the shorter side, but kind of chubby buff. Soft! Switches between being little and big spoon. Hes not too keen in physical touch so you're going to have to wait for him to initiate.. I'm biased but I give him a solid 7/10

LAUGHING JACK

In contrast to the other Jack, Laughing Jack is actually pretty warm! It's like snuggling up into a heated blanket! His torso isnt very soft, but the puffs on his shoulders are nice and soft- as are his arms! And he purrs so that just makes it more relaxing! Switches between being big and little spoon, he doesnt seem to show much of a preference! Hes a total cuddle bug, if he could he would be snuggled up against you all day every day! 9/10, and hes very large! 8 feet tall is his default! Loves snaking his arms around you

MASKY

Adverse to touch, mostly in the beginning of your relationship (whether platonic or romantic, it doesnt matter), so its best to leave the initiation to him. Even then he rarely seeks you out. Unlike some of the other characters, outright asking him to cuddle you for comfort wont.. work.. the most you'll get is him rubbing circles into your back while he sits next to you. On the rare occasion that he does pull you against him, hes pretty warm. More so than Hoodie but not as hot as LJ. Firm grip but you can tell he doesn't know where to put his hands. Incredibly stiff against you, 5/10 hes doing his best :(

HOODIE

Tall and strong, and his hoodie is very soft when you convince him to let you wash it. If he takes his mask off his facial hair can get a little itchy, but it's rare that the mask is off. Loves being big spoon but sometimes craves being little spoon sometimes. Smells like... leaves and campfire smoke. Not bad, actually. Loves drumming his fingers on you 8/10

JEFF

Very lanky and tall, string bean build basically. Average body temperature. Does not like cuddling; probably sees most acts of physical affection as "yucky" regardless of if they're romantic or not. The closest you're going to get is the two of you huddling together for warmth or something within that ballpark. His skins a little rough, but that's too be expected. Very tense throughout the entire interaction, 2/10 he does not make a good cuddle buddy

- As much as he loves watching people fail, something in his heart twists when he sees you at your lowest. Especially when it comes to pleasing him. He wants you to succeed. Again, he just wouldn't say it

- Would only voice his feelings if he really truly believes in it, and if he can tell you're utterly distraught

You tilted your body left and right in the mirror. Shifting your hips slightly, raising your arms, doing a 180, and groaning.

Your outfit for the night, picked especially by Wesker, was supposed to be flattering. It was supposed to show you off as his pride and joy. But god, you hated it. The event was special, a gala with all of the upper Umbrella execs. Wesker had told you he needed you to look your best, which now worsened the feeling of failure in your stomach. You sighed, pulling at the fabric, twisting it, trying to get it to just look right. Nothing seemed to be working. You groaned, frustrated.

“I’m sorry,” you choke out, gently grabbing his wrist and pulling it away from your side, “It just doesn’t fit right. I’m sorry, I know you wanted me to look my best tonight,” a shuddering inhale, “But I didn’t know what to do, I don’t want to disappoint you.”

Wesker tilts his head slightly, the hand not in your grasp comes up to your face and swipes away a single tear. A small smile tugs at his lips.

“You cannot disappoint me, dear,” he firmly grips your jaw, tilting it up towards him, “I think you look stunning,” It’s spoken low, almost rumbling over your skin, raising goosebumps.

Your eyes widen. Wesker was usually cold, stoic, and withdrawn. Never before had he voiced his praise of you in such a direct manner. Sure, you’ve received the occasional compliment, but nothing so straightforward.

You swallow heavily, sniffling and blinking a few times. You gently wrap your arms around his waist, pulling him into a hug. He’s stiff and awkward, but after a moment, pats your back gently. His other hand rubs your shoulder for a second, but he quickly pulls away.

He instead rewards you with a heated kiss to the lips, something he was far more comfortable with.

It’s safe to say that you two are going to be late to the gala tonight.

In the same vein as the other Wesker request, I don't think re5 Wesker gives enough fucks. By then he is already evil and blah blah blah, The most you’re getting out of him is a “You look fine, quit whining.” (But like, that's hot so not complaining)

Not gonna lie with you Chief, it took me longer than it probably should’ve to realize that you were using “Karuma” for the second half of the ship name lmaooo (very jovial)

But headcanons for Gregory and Manfred!!! I have those in spades! I won't go into tooooo much detail because we'll be here all day but I can give you some I sent to my partner! But as always I must preface; this is mostly based on vibes, certain lines I cannot quote off the top of my head, and fanfic-- because both characters and their backstories have not been TOUCHED let me see how they GOT HERE

Anyways /lh

In actual canon, my guess is that they met for the first time during the IS-7 incident. More specifically, the first time they’ve actually TALKED.

However, this alone is boring; So I imagine they’ve seen glances of one another in the courtroom. On Gregory’s end, he has seen von Karma in passing, fresh from the courtroom, going into battle, or going over something in the lobby and scowling, given a polite nod to the man or a nice tip of his hat if he was wearing it and mostly classified MvK as “older gentleman with nice taste in clothing.” if he ever sees him again.

MvK on the other hand might have heard of Gregory in passing? Extremely good defense attorney who regularly beats prosecutors; that’s not saying he’s perfect, that would catch the older man’s attention after all, but MvK has probably heard of him and his Justice filled ways and gone “bah. these fools don’t know how to prosecute that’s all, and he’s a naive fool.” If SEEING him without first noticing his badge, might politely nod back or huff a breath in lieu of greeting. If seeing his badge, 100% a nearly uncontrolled sneer. A mere defense attorney. A bug to crush.

And if later down the line Gregory wants to be that cool bug that Manfred studies closer and finds interesting, that’s his own damn business, thank you very much /lh

The only way I see them happening would be if Manfred's wife was either divorced or dead; He brags about his wife's cooking in a contest about baking that man is a wifeguy fo sho

Anyways

They are court rivals!

They match each other blow for blow, which means whatever Manfred’s brand of insane is that trial, Gregory is ready to go with it and turn the tide, and even if he doesn’t win (perfect win streak), the crowd goes away with a sense of “wow. Von Karma was really on the ropes a couple of times.” and Manfred HATES IT. Not the crowd’s whispers— but now people know there’s someone who can actually MATCH his damn insanity and that riles him up to the point of bloodthirsting lust

Gregory ALSO hates it but for a different reason; he's fighting for his gawddamn life with these cases, doing his best as a defense and usually coming so so close but missing just that little something, and von Karma wins.

But he’s stubborn. He will get people their Justice, and he WILL literally die trying so help him gods. That stubbornness extends to von Karma; he WILL win against this man one day, and he’s tenacious and firm, so one day, it WILL happen.

On other hand.. he’s also interested in the amused expressions and sometimes even delighted smile that pops up on extremely brief and rare one second occasions when Gregory pulls a trap of his own or turns von Karma’s trap around; It’s a predator amused that his prey thinks it can win, but playing along and once again trapping the poor creature, but he can’t deny that the expressions make him pause for a moment. Von Karma is very intrigued as he is incredulous about Edgeworth; the fact he only smiles when cornered, so deadly serious and matching fire with fire, a little bit of a nerd! What is this man and why is he so amused by him? He's gonna have an aneurysm

Outside of the courtroom, there’s not much interaction. But… on occasion, they will cross paths while investigating, and almost make a game of it.

They’ll bicker, snip at each other, get close to violence on a couple cases, occasionally even laugh at a stupid/funny comment the other made, quip and quote back and forth like their lives depend on it and should they fail they’ll disintegrate.

Most detectives, especially Badd, the one they most regularly have to deal with, have caught onto this and stay the FUCK out of their way; no matter if von Karma demands they don’t let Gregory onto the scene, they find out later he snuck past them and is up to his thighs in a mystery he’s two thirds of the way figured out

Meanwhile von Karma is already ‘hiding’ witness testimonies and figuring out what he might need to smudge to keep the 'innocents' safe and the 'culprits' put away. While this is a tried and true tactic, and a very welcome one, if he can get away with not doing those things, he prefers it.

Gregory on the other hand, has a notebook for every case he’s been on with MvK as the prosecutor because every time they go against each other he needs to write down every thought that comes to mind in regards to the case. In other cases not against Manfred, he’s decimated the prosecutions arguments before they get off the ground thanks to having to deal with the god of prosecution. But he goes over these notebooks and regularly writes new theories and ideas on what might’ve actually happened, or if he came across the truth and was unable to prove it, circles it, and when they're all actually solved, he closes that notebook permanently.

On the extremely rare occasion that they have NO culprit, but there’s a crime they’ve been assigned to, they have tossed theories at one another, simple to try and one up each other of course. But it’s a different kind of race and game. It’s slower, much more careful.

Manfred once couldn't get to a crime scene up on a hill because it was a terrible pain day and Gregory said nothing about it as he supported Manfred’s almost full weight and let him recover before they actually approached the police and the scene. They never bring it up again and Manfred hates the fact that it even happened, but Gregory soon after finds a small gift basket and a note that says “tell no one. they will never believe you.” and Edgeworth keeps the note.

Gregory is a very calm and chill man, but he has on multiple occasions yelled in true anger at Manfred for certain topics, and Manfred purposefully doesn’t bring those topics up again unless truly relevant, which is almost never.

Manfred absolutely hates Gregory the way you hate a dog. Gregory hates Manfred the way you hate a season.

That's where I'll leave those for now lmao-- but now. Ouuuh. Headcanons about Manfred's wife, huh? She's not so closely my department in headcanons/personal canons like my buddy @.nwdolphin is! But if I were pressed...

May perhaps not be a perfectionist like her husband, but probably strives for it in a way that Manfred saw, appreciated, and partially married her for

I'm not quite sure on ethnicity or name-- depends on if they met in Germany or Japanifornia, and even then it's a mixed bag either way-- but definitely not "noble birth" or whatever if going on with MvK's edwardian outfits /aff Just a normal person from a normal Ace Attorney universe family, so of course her name is a pun/irony.

That being said-- Business woman though. Possibly a CEO of some kind? Possibly just a simple worker. Either way, she commands attention

Like I said earlier in the post; Manfred brags about her cooking! Wifeguy for sure. Her cooking may not be "perfect" but it's made with a genuine effort and a love of the task/people it's made for, so it's perfect to him, goddamnit all, and he will stand by this until he dies

This is all not to say that she's perfectly fine with her husband's bullshit; she calls him out when he gets too Into It

Definitely challenges her husband in more than one way-- whether it be verbally, mentally, or maybe even physically in a sparring match when they were younger and Manfred's leg didn't act out as much!

Manfred fr wouldn't have it any other way; he strikes me as the kind of guy who would decay rapidly without a proper challenge in some way or another (enrichment for the caged tiger in his enclosure please)

I could definitely see her being the one that completely and utterly endorse her youngest daughter wielding a riding crop as little more than two so even she could defend herself

Both of them were definitely so proud of her

Of course her eldest also got a weapon (<- the one who gave them their weapons) who do you think she is

Their granddaughter is named after her, methinks; the eldest keeps in contact enough for Manfred to know her dog's name is Phoenix (whether or not he was simply bluffing on this is irrelevant, I'm taking it and running with it /lh) and even if it isn't, he still knows his granddaughter has a dog who she very much adores.

I think around the time she left his life (death, divorced, missing, etc.) is around the time he truly started to lose the way of how he wants Perfect Justice and instead started to perfectly embody everything wrong with the Law

Despite being a sarcastic person, Vi doesn’t laugh out loud too often

Most of the time she will react with a cocky chuckle or snort

Definitely enjoys way more making you laugh and listening to your sweet giggles

However, there is one thing that ALWAYS gets her: real-life slapstick

One day you went ice skating together and the first thing you did after bragging about how good you were at it, was accidentally fall flat on your ass

Vi immediately burst into laughter upon seeing you unhurt but absolutely dumbfounded by what had just happened

You were a bit flustered but hearing her unrestrained laughter echoing through the frost-covered park made you feel all warm all of a sudden

Eventually, she calmed down and offered you a hand to get back on your feet

Not without teasing you for the rest of the day about it of course

You wouldn’t expect it but Vi’s laugh is very similar to Jinx’s, raspy and high but definitely less hysterical and sometimes it even has some qualities of Vander’s if she does more of a belly laugh

She will even do a knee slap if something amuses her particularly

Bonus points if you dress up as her with a cloak and something to substitute her robot arm for extra mockery

First Jinx will just be giggling, biting her lip while watching you put on a little show but by the end of your skit you will have her crying with laughter and kicking her legs 

She definitely has a childlike sense of humor and doesn’t shy away from letting herself loose

That involves hysterical giggling, heavy snorting, and cackling like a mad chicken 

Her laugh is definitely a lot and can be super annoying to the people around her

But not to you

Seeing her so genuinely happy is quite a nice change

So … Caitlyn is quite experienced when it comes to retaining her composure

She doesn’t just burst out laughing even though in the past there have been a couple of close calls

Her mother usually cut her off when she started to giggle about something in an unflattering situation

When Caitlyn is not around her parents she’s usually much more comfortable showing her emotions

However … there is something she is insecure about: her laugh

You found out about it one time when the two of you were goofing around on the couch

You started tickling her and to your surprise, she burst into the biggest high-pitched dolphin laughter you have ever heard from anybody

You were taken aback and she was  m o r t i f i e d 

She explained to you that she hates her laugh but you assured her that it was the sweetest, most beautiful sound to ever exist on this planet

Viktor has a peculiar sense of humor and it’s quite hard to make him laugh out loud

A soft chuckle or grin is the most you can get out of him usually

He is definitely one to cover his mouth and giggle in secret when people aren’t paying attention

However, there was this one time you accidentally called Heimerdinger ”Heimerdaddy” in front of the yordle’s face when you bid him goodbye

And much to your surprise Viktor just … lost it

It caught him so off guard that at first, he tried to keep his wheezing down, pressing his fist against his lips as hard as he could

But there was no way he would get a hold of himself anytime soon

It was just 10 minutes of suppressed wheezing and giggling only interrupted by him choking on his own laughter and coughing 

Afterward, he wiped away the tears from his face, apologizing about a million times

Weirdly despite your blunder, you didn’t feel embarrassed for being laughed at but instead felt a sense of pride for experiencing this side of Viktor that probably no one else has seen before

Needless to say you you never managed to make him laugh like this again sadly

He will laugh at really corny jokes or witty wordplay

Thing is: he is always the one laughing for WAY too long

- Elizabeth had the most nicknames in her Family (her dad just calls her Elizabeth, Mike calls her Lizzie, Evan calls her Liz or Lizzie, and her mother calls her Beth or Lizbeth) (I know Lizbeth is technically another name but it is a variation of Elizabeth so it counts)

- Lizzie resembles her mother the most (obviously based off on my design lmao) she kind of resents this fact because in her mind, it's another reason why her father doesn't favor her over Evan (bc she doesn't remind him of himself like he does with her brother)

- As I said in the Charlie post, Lizzie and Evan are twins! Evan was born 2nd so he is the baby so she's stuck as the middle child :(

- Do you guys know that one tumblr (or twitter?) Post abt the person who, when they were a child, would host executions for their ugly dolls and make the prettier dolls watch it to see what will happen to them if they're ugly? I bring this up to stress that he is very new to this, this is a learning experience for him and.. actually all things considered hes not doing that bad!

He can be a bit of an asshole every now and then, but ultimately hes so hyper focused to make sure you feel comfortable and happy around him, subconsciously he doesnt want you to feel like how he did when he was surrounded by the people in his old life

Very clingy, but he does his best to try to mind your personal space and boundaries, as well as this he tends to be jealous- overtime you do get him to talk about it rather than react or isolate

Ok first of all this relationship should be only pursued in later phases like phase 6 or later because Murdoc and 2D became on some what of better term after Murdoc got out of jail even if 2D was kinda salty because if it was before that it would be purely toxic because Murdoc treats 2D like shit in earlier phases and we all know it

It probably started out with 2D getting a boyfriend during phase 5 and getting really close with his S/O

Fun little headcanon Ace introduced 2D and 2D new S/O to each other

When murdoc got released, 2D would be a bit iffy about letting Murdoc be around his boyfriend but he thought Murdoc wouldn't make a move on his boyfriend, he trusted Murdoc not to have have another Paula Cracker bitch of the year incident

Low and behold Murdoc flirted with 2D's S/O, but in his 'defense' 2D only brought up that he had a significant other once and thats it he never brought it up agian

But to Murdoc's surprise he gets a a firm rejection

But due to him being hard headed, he keeps flirting with S/O and ends up actually spending time with S/O because S/O often had sleep overs with 2D 2D loves sleep overs

And well- Murdoc actually develops actual romantic feelings for 2D BOYFRIEND, shit was about to go down

So Murdoc became extra competitive for S/O's who is 2D'S FUCKING BOYFRIEND may I remind you attention

How were they gonna fix this problem?

Oh wait S/O also developed feelings for Murdoc- but also still has feeling for 2D and doesn't want to break up with him

And one day the three of them sit down and try and work this out. An hour passes and they have figured jack shit out yet- till Noodle pops in and suggests a polyamorous relationship between the three of you

And at first the two of them aren't exactly thrilled with the idea, 2D doesn't like the idea of sharing with Murdoc- while Murdoc doesn't want to share in general

Though the three of you do start a poly relationship despite previous qualms with the idea, but in the end it works out pretty well

You guys are 100% gonna be asked about your relationship, and depending on the questions asked- 2D can either be bashful or frustrated and Murdoc can be either cocky or pissy/obnoxious

S/O usually has to pick the date, because these two can hardly ever agree on a date idea

Due to the fact S/O os also a man, makes relating to each other much easier

2D tends to barrow steel clothes- I mean your clothes could looks like a damn crop top or a dress(it depends on hight and size) and he will still wear it

Murdoc got pretty upset at first when 2D started steeling clothes including his, but when Murdoc see's his S/O in his clothes he suddenly more ok with the idea of sharing his clothes, as long as they are washed when returned if not...

Frankly it is not very often that you three share a bed- as i talked anout in my nap/sleep hc, 2D can and will move in his sleep- which irritates the FUCK outa Murdoc and he will push 2D outa bed- leading to some problems as it wakes up S/O(but not 2D despite him being the one being pushed off the bed) and S/O sees that Murdoc pushed 2D off the bed- leading to a slite fight

And now S/o take turns sleeping in the beds of Mrudoc and 2D

Also Murdoc has a thing with you liking he better- like he asks S/O every other day

Honestly, I love that he’s so silly 😭 He’s this big, scary guy - one of the most powerful mages in the world, and yet he loves his Tamagotchi, and he pouts when he’s upset, and he’s so cute and happy when he infodumps about dragons and gargoyles, and he’ll gladly eat ice cream three meals a day. I just love my son so much 😭

one aspect i wish more people understood about them

Ahh, prior to Ch 5 dropping, I’d seen a few posts going around twitter and whatnot that wondered if Mal maybe doesn’t like Silver all that much (like, that maybe he was really jealous of Silver because of how Lilia treats them differently, and he doesn’t like him that much in general). And while I do agree there’s likely a very deeply underlying sense of jealousy in his heart, I never doubted that Malleus loves Silver fiercely. I was very glad that that became much clearer with Ch 5, and I’m seeing a lot more people now realizing just how much Mal loves Silver. So the one aspect I wished more people would understand about him has kind of been resolved now lol.

I’m also a firm believer in the HC that he would just talk to baby Silver as though he were a whole adult, and he’d have one-sided convos with him while he played chess with the baby and read really advanced books to him fkjdfhg

3. He doesn’t like having his tail out in his two-legged form at NRC ‘cause he found it scares humans too much. But he leaves it out when he’s in BV since the people there are used to seeing it. He probably mostly wears robes and flowy garments back home since it’d be easier to walk around in with his tail out.

I adore all his interactions with the first years! He’s so cute with them and you can tell he does enjoy talking to them, it’s just that people are usually so afraid of him he doesn’t often get the chance to do so. He was so cute with Epeppy in GloMas, with Ace in his bloom bday vignette, and with Deuce on various occasions. My very favorite is whenever he interacts with Ortho! They’re super cute together in Mal’s Scary Dress vignette, and they mention each other in Ortho’s Union B-day vignette and in Mal’s Bloom broom b-day voice lines. (In the former, Ortho picks Mal to bring to a deserted island so that mal can protect him from lightning, and in the latter mal says ortho gave him some goggles that can “transport him to other worlds” but he wonders if little shroud tricked him ‘cause he doesn’t see anything when he puts them on (so ortho bought him like vr glasses but mal probably didn’t turn them on 😭😭)).

I imagine when Silver was teeny tiny, he obviously wouldn’t have understood the concept of social stratification, so he probably just looked to Malleus as his older brother or an uncle type of figure. And Mal loved that, because there are so few people in his life who just love him for him and who don’t treat him differently due to his great power and his position as crown prince. And so it hurt him deeply when Silver got older and started distancing himself from Mal once Silver realized that he was supposed to be subservient to Mal. But Mal never talks about it though, he just keeps his sadness to himself.

if you wanted to be a singer or something, he would encourage you to preform in bucks. even if nobody was listening, it would help you get more comfortable preforming in front of people

I think he would be very supportive because I personally hc that he wants to be an author, I mean he did write the book itself, it makes sense!

You two would probably spend hours lying in the lot talking about the future, talking about when you’re famous. The rest of the gang would call you both crazy, but it doesn’t bother either of you.

Since he’s younger, although he knows the score, I still think he doesn’t realise just how much work goes into fame, or the downsides of it.

Sodapop

This man is 100% on board with you. For goodness sake he probably wants to be your agent or something!

If you want to be a singer or a musician, he’s making you do private concerts for him. If you want to be an actor, he’s getting ponyboy to write a script for you two to act out together (even though he normally can’t keep a straight face). Soda is doing everything to help you.

Part of him thinks he’s holding you back though, which is why he tries to help so much. If you do end up moving to keep up with your career, he’s encouraging you to, but he’s telling you to leave him behind. so you’re gonna have to remind him just how much you love him, and that without him you probably wouldn’t have gotten as far as you have

Dally

In all honesty? I don’t think he’d be supportive. I’m a firm believer in soft Dallas, but i just can’t see him supporting you if you wanted to be famous. It’s nothing against you, he just doesn’t believe it could happen to anyone. (listen, he’s lost all faith in the world, do you really think he believes anyone can achieve their dreams??)

Although, if you want to be a singer, he’d book you a gig in bucks. He does believe that it’s as far as you’ll ever go though.

You two might get into a few arguments over it. He lived in New York for a long time, he’s seen the people that wanted to be famous and ended up unhappy, working as a waitress or something. he doesn’t want that for you.

Honestly i think he’d be the same as Ponyboy except that he doesn’t want to be famous.

Since i just love to write angst for Johnny i think he’d make you promise that you won’t forget him. That you’ll bring him with you if you’re leaving Tulsa.

This man can’t take anything seriously. he’d probably make jokes like “somebody stop those crows” when you’re singing. But it’s all just for jokes and if you tell him it upsets you, he’ll stop.

He’s completely supportive and would go to all your gigs, even if he was bored or tired or smth

Ok hear me out, yk “groupies” (a fan of a rock group who usually follows the group around on concert tours) thats two-bit, or at least what he calls himself. Seriously he’s like your own personal cheerleader. let’s be honest he’d also be like a freaking bodyguard

I’m not so sure about whether Steve would be supportive or not- i think he’d very much so think that people only get famous if they’re in the big city, it just doesn’t happen for people like him and the gang. 

i also think that he just doesn’t understand why someone would want to be famous. All that attention just isn’t for him.

Maybe he’d be more supportive if you wanted to be a football player or something. He thinks that it’s based on your skill rather than talent or luck.

i am curious about how dimivain is in your head 👀 i know it tends to me kinda meme-y in the fandom i am curious how you see it!

i don't have a super strict set of hcs for them or anything, but what i do think about them is just very far removed from the way fandom usually talks abt them. i mean, i get it, there's some grounds to portray them both as classic dudebros/loser guys you'd meet in a frathouse and i don't begrudge people having their fun with that but i think it's a very shallow portrayal of both them and what their relationship could potentially be.

i mean, sylvain acting like a good-for-nothing whore is largely a front, because he's actually whip-smart, capable, calculating and caring. there's a lot of things wrong with thropes, but i do like that they decided to ditch most of the skirt-chasing to devote time to some of his character traits that get snowed under in throuses. besides that, i think it's really important to realise that sylvain just. hates himself. to the point that he has quotes in throuses war phase that sound downright suicidal. i think his carefree attitude is a part of him, absolutely - he is a jokester and he is the kind of guy to be whiney and make jokes at the expense of himself. but he also exaggerates it for the sake of hiding the morbid parts of himself from the outside world/protect himself.

as for dimitri i think the meme-ish version of him sells him so short as well. yes, he wants to eat weeds, but in my opinion that was meant to show that he tries to find ways to fix the eternal food shortage problems in faerghus as much as it was supposed to be a fun little bit. yes, he's one of the students who like training and weapons maintenance most of all, but he's not just a simple jock - he tries to investigate arundel in am because he knows something is up. he's dutiful and cares for justice and wants to do right by his people to the point of being self-destructive. he's intelligent and introspective and wants to see the best in people, though thinks that he himself is unworthy of love and admiration because he feels that the acts he committed in the past are sins that can never be washed away, though he'll spend his life atoning through ruling his people justly rather than hide away.

anyway, the thing is that i think the meme-y version of dimivain tends to skip over the complexities of their characters and the ways that they could connect to each other and try to support each other. in their own ways, they both hate themselves, though for different reasons. i think they'd do anything for others and nothing for themselves, and that they could help each other in that regard: mutually learning how to care for themselves by taking care for the other and being taken care of in return.

i think sylvain would never allow for dimitri to retreat back into himself, would go his entire life trying to make him see that he's worthy and important, not at all expendable, that dimitri shouldn't think of himself as irredeemable, that he'd take on any tasks that would lighten dimitri's burdens. i've always figured sylvain would be excellent at administrative tasks and that, in wartime, he'd excel in the role of tactician (strategy is something he actually likes). and that he'd take dimitri to do something for himself for once. he'd be gentle but firm about it, apply humour when it fits but be very, very serious when it's needed. sylvain's very wordy, and he'd show his care with them because dimitri needs to hear certain things, again and again until it sticks, but he'd also show his care and love through acts, because he's used his words for lies so many times in the past.

and i think that dimitri's sheer earnestness would be a very good counter to sylvain's lifetime of facades, that it would be difficult for him to keep his mask on when dimitri is always so honest and open. when dimitri speaks he means what he says - and they're always good things when it comes to his friends (and beloved). and with time i think sylvain could start to believe him. dimitri would see through his self-depricating humour and his facades because he's known sylvain all his life. he'd try to draw out the better parts of sylvain, his cunning and capabilities, because he knows that they're hidden there under all his posturing. and that actually making use of his skills will have sylvain feeling better about his worth in this world and to the people around him. i think being with dimitri would make sylvain want to make use of his skills because it means he can help dimitri with them, and it would make him feel worthy of dimitri's love, since dimitri himself is always giving all of himself. it wouldn't be an easy process, because trauma is a bitch and habits are ingrained, but with time? yeah, i think they'd be very good for each other.

tl;dr i think dimivain is a pairing made up of two complex and intelligent characters with their own respective difficulties who could help each other get better and i think the meme-y version of the ship sells them and their relationship kinda short.
