Rainy days are the best, aren't they? Personally i love them, though.... The best way to enjoy a rainy day is under an umbrella with someone you like beside you.

(btw the character's dialogue is green, but it does not mean I'm the one speaking lol)

You sigh softly as you glance out the window, cloudy days are definitely not your favorite, though the possibility of it turning into a rainy day is rather comforting. Rain is the best for you, makes you feel refreshed and calm, it's some sort of cathartic experience to toss away the umbrella and let the water hit your face, the thought itself is enough to get you feeling a little fuzzy inside. You glance around the classroom, everyone is doing their own thing, Apple writing something down, Lemon as always just frowning like something stinks, then your eyes land in a calm and comforting sight.

He is softly snoring, leaned against his chair with his arms crossed. Melon has always caught your attention from the time you were brought to this school, you can count in your fingers the times you've seen his soft yet infatuating green eyes, but every time...it just took your breath away. You couldn't help but feel like he was much more than what he appeared to be, like he had a tough wall you wanted to crack open.

Your mind wandered with that idea, it was a complete fantasy, it would never even be close to happening, but what if...

You fantasized about the possibility of a rainy day, soft yet insistent, it wasn't going anywhere... In this daydream you stood at the gates of the school, watching it fall and slowly coat the floors with water, the sound was comforting, but being under that rain without an umbrella surely wasn't. You stood there for a while as people opened their umbrella's beside you and stepped out into the rain, 'if only' you wished, and that's when he walkes past. He gave you a glance, quiet as always and beaconed you to step under his umbrella with him, walking you home through the rain with a bit of smalltalk...

"if only.." you wished, a soft sigh leaving your lips again, you had been sighing a lot.

It did start to rain like you expected though, and it felt a little like fate, though, this wasn't your fantasyland...since you had your umbrella with you. You opened it and were ready to step out into the rain, but,

there you saw him, his hair drenched as he walked without a care in the world through the pouring rain. How... obnoxious, you thought with a slight huff of amusement. He really wasn't how you expected him to be. For instance, you expected him to be ready for the chance of rain, but he wasn't. You expected him to not like the rain at all, but he did. And surely, you didn't expect him to be softly smiling to himself as he walked, it almost... No. It definitely made your heart flutter.

Something in you made your body walk up to him on it's own, you softly walked beside him and spoke...

"do you want to share my umbrella? You could get sick..."

You said softly, almost hesitantly, it looked like he was enjoying his alone time, but you were honestly worried that he was being careless with his health. He gave you a glance, his smile slightly faltering at first, but then it got...a bit wider.

"I don't get sick" He said...

'Wow, my bad superman, sorry i didn't know that' you thought to yourself as you rolled your eyes with a slight smile, still, you offered him your umbrella again and he declined. Fair enough, but still, you wanted to talk to him.

"do you like the rain?"

"Mhm"

"me too..."

You guys talked as you walked side by side, he seemed much more open now than ever before. Somehow, this was way better than your little fantasy...

What kind of deres do you think the characters are? We all know Mammon is clearly a tsundere but what about the others?

Well you know, anon, I was only familiar with tsundere and yandere until this ask, which made me wonder if there were other deres that I didn't know about.

And wow. There are so many lol.

I found a website called The Dere Types which is basically a wiki about it. So that's what I'm using to define these.

Perhaps because I don't have a real deep understanding of most of them, but only a basic definition, I didn't find too many that I thought really fit our characters. This is likely because I have characterized them for myself and they're too complicated to attribute to a label easily, if that makes sense.

But there were a couple that instantly made me go, oh yeah, this one.

While I think Belphegor was meant to be more yandere, I definitely think he should be nemuidere. According to the website, this is a character who sleeps all the time, but is sweet to their love interest when they're awake. I mean. Right?

Then there was yoidere which is a character who is normally calm and collected, but becomes flirtatious when they're drunk. And that made me think of Lucifer.

Teredere is a character who gets embarrassed by their love interest, like they're embarrassed because they love them so much. And I thought that could be Levi, considering how he gets whenever MC is affectionate with him lol.

Obviously we've got Mammon being tsundere, but those were the only ones I felt could work!

Also my knowledge of this is very limited, I was today years old when I found out there were more than yandere and tsundere. So I don't know how good my opinion on this would be!

But I'd be interested in hearing what other people think who might be more familiar with these terms!

Erodere: characters will act perverted and lustful at first, but will become love struck and more embarrassed after experiencing true love.

Hajidere: a character who is really nervous and embarrassed around their crush. Their shyness either only appears when they are around or interacting with their love interest or intensifies even more around them if the hajidere is normally shy.

Hitsujidere: a character who is sheep, ram, or goat-related, or is obsessed with them to the point where they start to act like one.

Hokoridere: is someone, or more normally, a couple who are proud of their relationship and show it everywhere.

Masodere: a character who likes being hurt and humiliated.

Nemuidere: a character that spends much of their time sleeping, intentionally or unintentionally.

Nyandere: a dere type that is cat-related or is very obsessed with them, to the point where they act like them sometimes or all the time when their "dere" side appears.

Undere: a character who says "yes" or "I agree" to almost everything the one they love says and follows everything they are told to do. They are really dependent on their love interest, and would not know what to do without them.

Utsudere: a character who is often sad and depressed because of a traumatic event or condition, sometimes hidden in front of others at first.

Kireidere: a character who shows their love and admiration by trying to bring out the best in their love interest so that they can see the beauty that they really have.

Kosupureidere: a character who likes cosplay or wearing costumes.

Koukidere: is someone who is very curious.

Sutooriidere: is a term used for characters that apply fiction to their everyday lives.

Yandere: a character whose love, admiration, and devotion is so strong that it is expressed as an excessive obsession and possessiveness. They are often seen as characters that are crazily in love with someone.

I just found out there’s a character archetype in japan like tsundere and yandere called “nemuidere” which is someone who spends long periods of time being sleepy or asleep and I guess that explains what they’re going for with Silver. In America we just call that narcolepsy lmao
