“Hey there, Hot Wheels Fans, and welcome to today’s big broadcast! We have not one, not five, but seven guests joining us today! You may recognise some of these guests from the Ultimate Garage Camp & Tournaments hosted 8 years ago, or from more recent endeavours, from making grand debuts to the pro racing scene, saving the city from mass destruction on multiple accounts, or the latest technological innovations in Hot Wheels technology! Without further ado, here are today’s panelists!”

“Spark Turner- The founder of SparkPlug Tech, and the next big name in innovation, from cars, to defensive technology, and everything in-between!”

“Mac Caliper- Hot Wheels City’s most popular stunt driver, whose record-breaking feats are yet to be beat!”

“Brights Hikari- The Hot Wheels 500’s latest track designer, a professional photographer, and a visual designer for all things Hot Wheels- what can’t she do?”

“Sidecar Cotter- Hot Wheels City News’ very own, our latest addition to our commentary and journalism teams, and a hit with racing fans everywhere!”

“Axle Spoiler- Hot Wheels 500 racer, and the son of retired pro racer Striker Spoiler. Currently leading in the popularity polls across the city!”

“Coop Feng- Current Hot Wheels 500 champion racer, and the youngest winner to date!”

“Cruise Rearview- Hot Wheels 500 racer, making it all the way to the finals last season! [And the daughter of Hot Wheels City’s resident supervillain!]”

“Today, all seven of our guests will be answering your biggest questions on our panel! If you want to submit your questions, find out how you can here! Thanks for tuning in!”

Questions can be submitted via the ask box- please specify that they are for this event, and who the question/s are for! You are free to ask multiple questions, whether they are in the same ask, or separate asks. Questions can be sent for one specific character, multiple specific characters, or for the entire group present.

This event is being written as an in-universe professional interview panel, so not all questions will be answered in the full truth. However, if this is the case, I will try to include clarification and further information either under a ‘read more’ or in the tags. Some parts of the AU have been left intentionally vague, as the series proper has not ended yet. If questions regarding these aspects are asked, the answers either won’t be given, or will be incredibly vague.

I don't know how strictly accurate this is, but one of the things I find shocking about watching historical dramas is how many people there are around all the time---according to Madame de... (1953) a well-off French household in the Belle Epoque maintains a workforce of at least 3, and the glittering opera has staff just to open doors. According to Shogun (2024) you can expect a deep bench just to mind your household, and again, people who exist to open doors.

Could people....not open doors in the past? Were doors tricky, before the standardization of hinges? Because otherwise, the wealthy used to pay a whole bunch of people to do it for them in multiple contexts, and I find myself baffled.

#I mean..........listen.#maybe people in the past had superfluous staff just to open doors. because of reasons.#fair enough! that made their lives easier. okay cool. making things easier is what money brings you. except....#there are many parts of my life that would be so much easier with support staff! dishes. vacuuming. grocery shopping.#doors though? opening and shutting doors???#can't say that's come up as a particular concern.#I feel aggressively stupid asking this question but also. why doors. someone dial up a 19th century fella and explain.

i feel like people are sleeping on the occam's razor situation of how buckwild it is to outright accuse a guy of being a clone of your friend even if you DO have a lot of circumstantial evidence. there's other options is what im saying. they could just be like. a guy. that's a sensible deduction. you should explore that deduction. ignore my shirt that reads I <3 RED HERRINGS.

(and thus are the context for all of my postcanon doodles!)#which is i think nille joins the party before loop reappears for a start (either from a period of nonexistence or just wandering around)#and that like. i think the party should be able to integrate loop as a completely new person. because they are! the secrecy isn't great but #They and Siffrin shuffle into different ecological niches in the party (eg. i think sif is more squeamish after it all but loop isnt)#and while it's not *exactly* what Loop wanted they get that beggars can't be choosers. and its pretty good #(i am glossing over how i think loop's reappearence drags both them and siffrin into a massive behavioural backslide and is likely a bit #distressing to watch go down. cycle of argument -> lovebombing -> normalcy -> repeat. etc etc. but since they are no longer literally #stewing in the worst pressure cooker of all time they do resolve it via productive conversation on their own time. its fine)#the party well-meaningly tries to deduce things from loop's vagueries and are able to pin down the DEAD FAMILY vibe pretty quickly.#but eventually the question of their prior identity falls by the wayside because well! they're just their friend loop! (also change belief)#as for how The Truth Come Out... this is what i mean by The Isabeau Torment Nexus(tm). which is that i think... isiloop should almost occur #BEFORE isabeau knows who loop is. he's just genuinely charmed by them eventually and tries to close the open end of the polycule #which FREAKS LOOP THE FUCK OUT because thats just too genuinely sick and wrong. and obviously w emotions high its not a great confrontation #ANYWAY told u i had more thoughts. if i were normal itd be a text post but.

Young Justice's Luck Strikes Again

Batman sighs deeply and rubs a temple.

It was meant to be a simple space mission, nothing to big. Just a quick check and report back.

Only problem is the ones he would normally assign this to are all dealing with other things so he had to ask... Someone else...

Like...

The ones that were once Young Justice.

Look, they were the only only ones with a spaceship (How? He still had no idea, Tim keeps saying 'What happens in YJ, stays in YJ') that could go far out without problems, and even though he knew putting the old YJ team together might be a bad idea, he trusted them especially Red Robin to be just a bit more professional at least. Since they were no longer teens but young adults now.

And again it was meant to just be a quick mission.

Nothing big.

So...

So why was Young Justice currently wrangling two floating black haired toddlers, one with blue eyes while the other one had red, and a black haired baby.

Turns out they found these children floating in space on their way back from their mission, cryo sleeping in a ice block huddled and cuddled together around a well loved teddybear with a teal headband on its head.

Or they were sleeping in cryo sleep until Superboy brought the ice block in and the thing melted allowing the children to wake up.

Batman could feel a headache coming on when he noticed just how... attached Young Justice was becoming to the children as well and knew it would be a miracle if he could get them to separate from the children.

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #granny wen #a-yuan #It's always fascinating how colours translate from the page to the screen.#It would probably surprise a lot of people to see what some of these comics actually look like in physical form.#My lighter colours takes about 3-4 washes before it shows up on scan which means it tends to ripple the page.#And my yellows and oranges are drastically different colours when scanned compared to the ink colour.#There's about 20 or so comics where everyone's hair is purple - because it scanned in the exact same colour as my light grey.#Wait my book is right here in front of me so I can...yeah...Comics 57-77 were indeed purple.#This is all to say - is it not fascinating how what we see is often not the full truth of what the subject truly is?#Is it not fascinating to open another episode that reminds us that despite everyone's claims they could totally spot the evil YLLZ-#-The man walks around among them for months as no more than a man haggling for deals like the rest.#It's almost as if he's just a person. It's almost as if none of us - no matter what we do are really anything more than just a person.#Your good acts will be overtaken by how other's interpret you in negative light.#Just as easily are people willing to forgive crueler actions if they hold you in high esteem.#But what's real? Is the page I hold the real version of this comic? Is it the one you look at?#Is the man known as Wuxian the most himself when he is alone or on the battlefield?#Perhaps he is and has always been a scared orphan boy lost in the market.#I think there is no good answer to any of these questions.#But I do know that panic rising in WWX as he frantically looks for A-yuan was for more than one boy.#To be human is to have layers around a delicate center. We only really grow around our wounds from childhood.#In other words; Donkey from Shrek would also probably call Wei Wuxian an onion. I'll see myself out now.

Question 1: “It must be nice seeing so many big stars in one place! And speaking of stars...do any of you ever wonder what lies beyond them?”

Here’s what our panelists had to say!

S. Cotter: “Beyond the stars? Ohh, you mean like outer space?”

A. Spoiler: “What else would it mean, Sidecar?”

S. Turner: “Scientifically speaking, you can’t exactly go ‘beyond’ the stars, considering that our universe is incredibly vast, and any planets or galaxies present would be accompanied by stars-”

B. Hikari: “ALIENS! I think there are aliens out there! Little green ones, or big scary ones, I’m sure there’s something else out there!”

C. Feng: “Do the aliens in your hypothesis know how to race? Racing on another planet would be awesome!”

C. Rearview: “You really think you could beat aliens in a race?”

M. Caliper: “And the stunts!”

S. Turner: “Actually, stunts would be pretty difficult on most planets, considering how different the gravity would be from Earth. As for aliens? The kind you’re talking about probably don’t exist.”

B. Hikari: “We’ve fought off giant monsters, and you invent superpowered cars on the daily! And aliens are where you draw the line? Lighten up!”
