Snape x student!reader in which the reader gets a arm broken during a quidditch match and gets helps from the professor?
Broken Bones - Severus Snape
Tumblr media
A/N: Hey! Thanks for waiting so long for this request! Hope it turned out alright <3
It was such a tight match. Gryffindor vs. Slytherin, 60-63, respectively. Harry, your best friend, was an amazing chaser, you have to admit. But you were, too. Hogwarts knew it would be a good game every time the two of you were against each other. The match had been going on for a few hours now, and everyone was growing tired. This was the longest match in a while and some of the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws had made their way back inside the castle at this point.
You were several thousand feet in the air, scanning over the field for the small golden snitch. Harry was closer to the ground, scanning the area around him. And then he took off, fast as he could towards the south side of the court. You didn’t hesitate to go after him. The closer you got, the clearer you could see the small golden object. It was almost as if it was taunting you, flying just out of reach of you and Harry. It was leading you over to the tower where Hogwarts’ staff was seated.
What you couldn’t see, however, was the bludger that had been hit towards you. It was too fast for you to dodge at the last second, and it knocked you forward and off of your broom. You were sent flying forward, crashing into rows of empty seats where the teachers were supposed to be but had jumped out of your way. You landed with a gruesome crack as you landed shoulder first and rolled until your back collided with a row of seats.
You choked on a cry of pain as your hand loosened its grip, revealing the snitch clutched in your hand.
“Y/N has the snitch!” you heard over the intercom. “Slytherin wins!” Cheers erupted from your house at the news, causing your ears to ring. You’d be happy, except you were in extreme pain and it dominated all of your other senses and emotions.
You felt a hand on your back, and someone gently pulled the snitch from your hand. “Where does it hurt?” Their hand brushed against your injured arm and you screamed. “Alright, you’re alright.” You opened your eyes to see your Head of House sitting behind you. His black eyes weren’t soft, to say, but they weren’t hard, either. You could tell he was trying to be comforting.
Snape snaked an arm under your knees and picked you up gently. The movement caused you to cry out in pain, and then whimper a soft, “I can walk.”
Snape glared down at you for a moment, but it wasn’t harsh. It was almost teasing. “Not with the chance you may have injured your back. I will take you to the infirmary.”
Professor Snape made sure you made it back to your dorm room safely before leaving you be. He may not seem caring and comforting, but if you were being honest, he was the reason you weren’t caught in a panic attack when you were being treated, or even making your way to see Madam Pomfrey. Your professor’s calm demeanor kept you calm as well, and you made a note to thank him once you were feeling better.

Severus Snape was resting against a tree when it happened. The castle sat opposite him, just a short way across the clear water. The small ripples created by the creatures in the lake and the summer breeze often distracted him from the book that he rested between his knees and his chest as he tucked them up closely. It was this exact reason that he hadn't noticed the band of robe-clad gryffindors trudging up the slope toward him. James Potter led the group, he wore his signature charismatic grin; a smirk that twinged the corner of his lip upwards and made his nose scrunch beneath his glasses, and he had his wand held loosely in his hand. He twisted the delicate tool between his fingers as you would a drumstick. Sauntering over to Severus, he chuckled at his friends, nudging them playfully with his shoulder.
“Snape!” He jested, calling out to him.
His head snapped up, but he kept his back planted firmly against the tree as the group of marauders ran up to him. He squeezed his eyes shut, just hoping that they would turn and leave. But they were bored and Severus, who had been particularly troublesome toward them, had caught their eyes. Severus inched himself up against the tree so that he rose to his feet and began to turn back in the direction of the castle.
James frowned, a look of mock pity set on his face. “Leaving already, Snivellus?”
Snape reached for his wand, but kept his back to them.  “Fuck off, Potter. I don’t want trouble.”
“Don’t you know it’s rude to turn your back to someone when they’re talking to you, Snape.” Sirius asked him.
Severus whipped around quickly, his wand poised to cast a spell at them but James beat him to it; with one flick of his hand Snape's wand went flying across the river bank. He paled, the four Marauders stepping closer to him.
“Nice one, James.” Sirius cheered.
The dark haired boy backed up slowly, setting his gaze. The four of them were edging closer, threatening him with their wands when you spotted them. You had just finished class and were heading over to the lake with Lily, arm in arm. The two of you were over there in seconds when you saw your friends threatening each other. Much to your boyfriend's dismay, you and Severus had been friends from the beginning of the first year. You met him on the train; a shy boy with long hair who didn’t quite seem certain of the world. Lily bonded with him quickly, and you followed soon after. It wasn’t long after that that you met Sirius Black. Charming, brave, daring; he was the complete opposite to Snape, but you supposed that was what drew you to him so much. It was their clash in personalities that made the two clash. It seemed as though they were always doing something to wind up the other.
This time it had gone too far. You were unsure of what Sev had done to wind up the Marauders so much, but you and Lily were skidding to a stop beside them in a heartbeat.
James caught a glimpse of Lily’s fiery hair out of the corner of his eye. “Lilyflower-”
“Leave him alone, James.” It wasn’t quite a demand, Lily never had that sort of aggressiveness in her, but her voice was firm. She didn’t want her friend to get hurt.
“Ah, Evans, Don’t make me hex you.” James sighed, a playful twinge on his tongue.
“I’m serious.” Lily repeated when James refused to lower his wand, letting it loll around between his fingers.
“No,” Sirius smirked. “I am.”
You gave him a hard stare through narrow eyes, and his smirk dropped. “Siri. Please.”
The boy nodded, nudging his friend who promptly pocketed his wand. Severus seemed taken back, his steps faltering. He glanced gratefully in your direction, though his anger and embarrassment were unmistakable in his eyes.
“You’re lucky that they were here to help you, Snape.”
“I don’t need help from filthy mudbloods.”
You had expected many things from Severus, but those words were not one of them. He spat them with venom; malice intending to bite deep. And bite deep it did.
You froze, eyes glassing over with tears. Serverus Snape had made an incredibly low blow; as a muggleborn, it was safe to say that it took some time to come to terms with your letter to Hogwarts. You were excited, of course but your parents were far from keen. Lily experienced the same thing with her sister too. Things didn’t get much better when you arrived at Hogwarts either. Some saw you as ‘impure’. Unworthy. Sev knew this and he had chosen to use it against you. Perhaps it was in a moment of spite, perhaps he hadn’t meant to say it at all. But all that mattered in that moment was that Severus Snape was just like the rest of them.
You could see Sirius glance your way out of the corner of your eye, but when he took a step toward you you backed away.
“Fuck you, Snape.” You spat back at him, trying to hide the waver in your voice.
“You should watch your mouth, Snivellus.” Lily glared at him before turning on her heel and making her way promptly back to the castle before anyone else could say a word.
You were left standing between the two groups, both slightly shell shocked, in silence.
Sirius, now full of guilt, opened his mouth to talk, but you pursued Lily before he could even form the first syllable.
The tears came flooding in quickly after that.
~
Sirius hadn’t seen you for the rest of the day. and that was partly because you refused to come out of the girls bathroom. He had even tried to get Moaning Myrtle to coax you out to talk to him, but still you refused to show your face as you curled up on the bathroom tile. It made his stomach churn.
His pit of guilt dug itself deeper as he sat in class. Sirius’ leg bounced restlessly during potions and there was just as much ink on the page at the start of the lesson as there was at the end. The detention he was also given didn’t help ease his thoughts. His mind wandered to the worse case scenarios. It was his fault for provoking Snape… What if you never wanted to talk to him again? He was up in an instant when the fateful day came to an end and he could return to the common room. He dragged his feet up to the portrait and muttered the words to open it. Every part of him itched to see your face mingling amongst the crowd.
At first, he didn’t see you. But he managed to make out the crown of your head resting against an armchair tucked away in the corner by the fire. His face softened when he saw the tear tracks staining your face where you had failed to wipe them away properly.
You had spent practically the last two hours crying. Everytime the flood stopped, it seemed to start up again. Severus was supposed to be your friend and he had discarded you just like that. The back of your eyes stung, glassy beads threatening to spill again. When you finally braved it enough to make it back to the common room, you couldn’t bear to go up to your room. You hardly spent any time there anyway because you spent much of it lounging around in Sirius’ bed with the other marauders…and you were angry and Sirius.
No… perhaps angry was too strong a word. Hurt. Hurt by his actions and his and James’ thoughtlessness. Being up in your room would have just reminded you of that. So instead you settled down with a book by the fire trying to distract yourself and let the world move around you.
It didn’t take Sirius very long to reach you. He crossed the common room in a few wide strides.
“Love?” Siri asked hesitantly.
You peeked up at him meekly. Your eyes were red raw and puffy, it made the boy frown. Sniffing, you wiped your eyes with the hem of your sleeve. “Oh.. hi Siri.” you mumbled, not quite meeting his eyes.
“Oh Lovey. I’m so sorry.” He melted, sliding onto the arm of the chair beside you.
“ ‘ts okay. It’s not your fault…”
Sirius scowled. You were far too kind for your own good. He knew exactly what you had been through and made him sick just thinking that you weren’t allowing anyone to take the blame for it. “But it is, Dove. I shouldn’t have provoked him. If I had stopped James and just kept my mouth shut then you wouldn’t have had to come over in the first place.”
A tear spilled from your eyes and all of a sudden you broke all over again. “He was supposed to be my friend, Pads.” You blubbered, voice wavering. “He’s just like the rest of them…”
Sirius took your hands in his, pressing a kiss to them. “You didn’t deserve any of this, my love. I am so, so sorry.”
“Maybe they’re right….” You trailed off. “Maybe I am worthless. If Sev thinks so too then-”
“Shh.” Sirius pressed another kiss to your temple as he scooped you up into his arms. Burying your face into his chest you continued to cry. He trailed his fingers over your back. “You’ve never been more wrong in your life, Lovey. You are worth so much more than that. You’re kind, brave and not to mention the most beautiful girl in the world. You’re worth everything to me. Who gives a crap what they think?”
You sniffled, unsure.
“I mean it.”
You looked up at him, wiping away your tears; a ghost of a smile on your lips.
“I love you.” Siri whispered, kissing you softly.
“I love you too.” You settled your head against his chest, shifting to curl against him.
It was there that James and Lily found you later, entwined with each other and sleeping peacefully. Safe within each other's arms.

Night Terrors - Severus Snape x y/n
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MASTERLIST | AO3 | COFFEE On AO3 here - 2.393 words
Summary: It's 4 am and you woke up once again covered in cold sweat. Tired of having these night terrors you seek for the comfort of Severus Snape.
A/N: I am not a native English speaker so I am sorry for any spelling mistake and if my first smut scene is too bad :D. I tried my best!
Triggers/Warnings: I think there is none other than any bad word around here and there and mentions of Night Terrors, y/n is a she. Please let me know if I missed something important. Also y/n is +18 (you can choose the age you want to, it's just she is not underage).
---------------------------------------------------------
It was 4 am and you woke up again covered in cold sweat. Great. Night terrors were making your life miserable and you  couldn’t understand why you were experiencing all of this.
To be honest, you kind of had an idea of why. You were drowned by deadlines and exams that were hard to meet and on top of that your parents wouldn’t stop sending you OWLs about pushing you to leave your studies in Hogwarts in order to work and help them with the family debt.
You thought about it and you almost dropped your studies but you only had 1 year left before finishing Hogwarts and you wouldn’t dare to stop having the only pleasure that was free in  your life: seeing Severus Snape.
Covered in cold sweat you took your jersey and went outside, sneaking out of your chambers and heading straight to the dungeons to enter his office. Of course he would be there, you knew.
He usually would tell you in those small moments of bonding where you assisted him after class that he also had issues when it comes to having a pleasant night of sleep.
Knocking twice on the door you didn’t wait for him to answer.
The office was silent, only the small sound of his quill that suddenly stopped writing to meet his cold face, not surprised to see you there at 4 in the morning.
Closing the door slowly you stood in front of him.
Severus slowly left his quill on the right side of the parchment and massaging his temples he began to speak:
“What is this? More whining about the class schedule? Or is this time about the quality of the school’s potion ingredients? Or are we going to be treated to your latest theory on why Harry Potter gets special treatment from the staff?”
Your head shook letting him know that nothing like this was the reason why you were standing in front of him, wearing your cotton pajamas, accentuating every inch of your feminine figure.
Plopping on one chair besides him you sighed audibly.
“I have night terrors and I just can't sleep”
“And you've decided I would be the best person to help you with this?” He replied in a scornful tone and he resumed grading the papers, unable to look at her eyes.
You were already too annoyed at this precise moment and you knew that visiting him wasn’t the best decision but you couldn’t bear another lecture at this hour.
“Yeah, I have decided that since I felt safe when you are around you are the best person for me to go at 4am because of my night terrors”
Severus' brows pulled together in a clear sign of annoyance being forced to leave his tasks of grading papers, for the second time, in less than 5 minutes.
He folded his arms and looked at you.
“And the nightmares you are suffering from? Tell me about them.”
You knew that this wasn’t him being really interested in what you had to say but mostly to find a reason to manipulate you into thinking that coming to him was another of your foolish ideas and that you should be going out if you didn’t want more points taken from your house.
Still you told him the truth of why you were having them at which he replied first with a laugh full of mockery.
“I could give you nightmares, you pathetic girl”. He laughs to himself. “You live a charmed life, and you have the nerve to complain about being afraid? There are plenty of people who have good reason to be afraid, young lady. You, on the other hand, cannot imagine how it feels to be at the mercy of powers against which we are helpless!”
Snape took a few seconds to reply again, raising his voice.
“You think that is a nightmare?”
It was obvious that Severus Snape himself wouldn’t be holding your hands and saying how sorry he was for seeing you like this, of course not, but after all you at least had the small hope of him having some sort of… pity. Some soft of mercy or true for you.
But you felt miserable. Of course you did. You knew him and usually you would beg for this type of interaction if it meant to be noticed by him. But today you didn’t want this.
Slowly standing up from your seat Severus seems to take into account how his words especially affected you tonight.
“No, girl, sit down”. He said simply, but you stood there, quiet, looking at him.
Seeing that you were looking at him with a puzzled look Severus spoke again.
“That is why you have come to me? For comfort?” He seems genuinely puzzled as well. “You think that I could possibly be a comforting person?”
You nodded slowly, still there, as if she was challenging him but the truth is that she was sensing that Severus was trying to say something more and she wanted to test her luck tonight.
“You are clearly mistaken”. He continued.  “How do you imagine that I of all people would be remotely capable of giving you comfort?” The same sneering, contemptuous tone of earlier, and then, as if he has just thought of something important, he says, even more witheringly. “And, even if I were inclined to be comforting, what makes you think you of all people would be deserving of my comfort?”
Hands balled into fists made you suppress your anger at his words. And it worked since it gave you the energy to reply to him back.
“I don't deserve your comfort, I completely know about it. I just... I just wanted to stay here. I can be silent if you... want to”.
Snape sighs.
“Stay then, if staying makes you any less pathetic”.
Pathetic. He said. Maybe I was after all. Still here even if he wanted to push me away.
He was insulting me and still, still after all of this it was my body who moved alone, silently, going towards him.
You don’t really know what happened. If it was the way he saw your face contorted with pain at his words, the fact that you had the courage to still fight him despite his coldness but something in Severus broke inside of him at that precise moment.
He looked at you and without showing any emotion he spoke.
“I do care for you, you know.”
Your eyes snapped quickly at him, staying silently for a few minutes. Unable to move, even unable to breath in case that you broke the spell. In case that the sound of your existence bothered him and changed his words.
But your mouth had other plans and decided to speak.
“You do?”
“Yes” he simply stated.
Your eyebrows furrowed at his simple answer but you  needed to know more.
“And what exactly do you care about me?”
“Because, unlike many people I know, you have done very little to deserve my dislike. And there are certain qualities in you that I admire”.
His voice is quiet, almost a whisper, and sounds as if it is choking on those last words.
“The amount of courage you possess is truly remarkable”.
That made you chuckle softly at his words, a lot of butterflies starting to fly on your stomach.
“Well, you inspire me to be like that so, all the credit goes to you, sir”
Severus gives that a short, dry, humorless laugh that could almost pass as a cough.
“Very flattering, I must admit”.
There is a very short pause as Snape considers what he has just said before he continues in practically a whisper.
“I suppose you could say that I... feel a responsibility towards you... to keep you safe as best I can”.
You were having luck tonight, and you should have stood where you are but why not? Why not test the waters? Why not push the buttons? Why not?
“So if you want to keep me safe as best as you can... does this finally include that you will help me with the night terrors i just had?”
The contemptuous sneer is back. His voice is back to cold and harsh.
“Do you really expect me to comfort you, as though you are an infant, for night terrors?”
He laughs again and speaks even more contemptuously, mocking her.
“If you ask so nicely, I suppose I can let you cry on my shoulder”.
At this moment you  continued walking towards him standing by his side. Him sitting on his chair behind his desk.
“If I ask nicely…” you  whispered. “Will you allow me to sit on your lap and find comfort on your hands?” and after finishing this sentence your  right hand was laying on his shoulder.
He was shocked at your words.
He doesn't say anything, but he looks at you as if you  had suggested something that was completely outrageous and unthinkable, and as if he is wondering whether you  were being serious or making fun of him. But then... All of a sudden... the shock turns into a hint of almost imperceptible color on his face, and, as a hint of amusement enters his voice, he lets out a single "hmph", without any further words needed to explain the meaning behind it.
And also nothing else came from you as well. A slow nod that ended in your body moving slowly to sit on his lap.
It’s strange at first, the feeling of his fabric on your skin, the stiffness on his body and on yours but you try to adjust your body.
But it feels so good. How your back is laying on his chest and your head on the crook of his neck. Silently taking into his smell. Fresh herbs. Sandalwood. It suits him.
And he felt at first that he wanted to push y/n. But then, slowly,  almost unwillingly, he moves his hand to rest on the back of her head, his thumb caressing her temple ever so softly as she starts to lean on his chest.
It was an intimate moment. A life changing one. In a couple of minutes the dynamics between the two of you had changed and the desire and prayers of you trying to get into your professor's life came true. The room was silent and only the breath of the two of you could be heard.
Severus was the first one to break the silence with a perceptible soft tone whispering in your ear.
“Maybe you were not so pathetic after all”.
Another chuckle escaped from your lips and your hand started to toy with his fingers, feeling the rough hands of your Professor. Hands that have gone through so much. So much pain, so much hardness and difficulties.
“I am not, I am glad that you are starting to see it even if you can be this cruel with your words”
He makes a dry, humourless laugh and says in a contemptuous tone.
“That is my way of being caring, I'm afraid”.
He smiles then, a small, barely noticeable smile, as if at the memory of a secret joke, and continues in a voice so low he almost isn't even sure if he said anything.
“You have never heard me being outright insulting, have you?”
The contemptuous sneer suddenly returns.
“Because I can be much, much crueler”.
Oh god, If he just  could say those words in another context. In his bed. Perhaps. You thought for a second, wild thoughts trying to control your  body and your mind but you quickly stopped them.
Instead, you just shook your head.
“You are right. Well, then I must be a bit special after all”.
His voice is low, but he lets out something that almost, just about, could maybe pass for a laugh.
“Just a bit?”
A small smile appears on his mouth.
“Not everyone can say they were only called pathetic by Severus Snape at four o'clock in the morning”.
That made you absolutely laugh. And it was unexpected. Your chest didn’t weigh as much as it did when you arrived at his office and his frown ceased and it was replaced by a faint smile.
“That 's true. And not everyone can say that they have sat on Snape's lap at 4 in the morning”
He curled an eyebrow as a quick response.
“Is that supposed to be some special honour? My lap?”
“Yeah, it is. Would you allow this to anyone?”
His sneer appears to be mixed with amusement and he lets out that single dry, humourless laugh again. It almost seems as though he finds this amusing - but he will certainly never admit it.
“No, I wouldn't. It is special just for you”.
Your hand stopped playing with his fingers and instead you held it, giving it a gentle squeeze.
“I wish I could be special in every single way” you whispered to him looking anywhere but his face which started to blush madly.
But he stared at you with burning eyes. And you started to feel it.
“Do you wish I could show you?” you didn’t hear anything but you would bet that he was smirking.
Your hand dropped his and this time you met his eyes, your left arm slowly rising to cup with your hand his cheek.
“Yeah, show me”
He doesn't resist when you caress his cheek.
He is so close to you  that their faces are only inches away.
His eyes slowly moved down to your lips. A tiny ghost of a smile curves his lips as his eyes look into yours.
And all of a sudden, he starts to move, slowly, almost as if he is hesitating.
His face is coming even closer to yours.
 Your faces are almost touching.
And as if all of this were happening in slow motion…
Severus just kisses you.
And the kiss is reciprocated. Slow. Timid at first but revealing a content sigh from both parts as if the two of you were wanting this for so long.
The night ended slowly and the sun slowly was rising, kisses exchanged with soft touches and small moans of satisfaction. Your lips getting to know each other with soft dances of your tongues.
He certainly gave you the comfort you were wishing for.

Warnings: angst with happy ending, hurt comfort (i guess)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The library is silent and tranquil, with only the sound of pages turning and pens clattering on notebooks permeating the space. The air is still and calm, providing a serene and conducive atmosphere for studying and focusing on work.
You and Marlene are sitting at a table near the center of the library, studying quietly. You and her are in the honeymoon phase. Nobody knew that you two were in a relationship. You wanted to be more private and Marlene agreed, she was a little grouchy at first, but your wishes were the most important for her. You two were completely different, but somehow it was working well. Marlene, free-spirited, and always looking to have some fun. You, the academic weapon, the golden child. Your family’s love language was that and more studying meant more love. You loved your parents and never wanted to disappoint them, so that made you the academic weapon of Hogwarts.
Marlene was making small comments to try to distract you, but you were focused on your work and mostly ignoring her. “Come on, baby, don't you wanna take a break from studying?” she came closer to you, trying to distract you and make you focus on her.
You try to ignore her, you really try... but Marlene makes it difficult, her playful nature and seductive ways have you tempted to pay attention to her.
She teases and plays with you a bit, she comes even closer, right up until she’s sitting in your lap, distracting you to no end.
There’s no way you can focus on your work like this... all you want to do is give in to her and spend some time with her.
And she knows that.
"Come on, baby," she plays with your hair, smiling. "Don't tell me you don't want some fun with me."
"I know, but I really need to finish this.." you try to resist the temptation, but Marlene makes it difficult.
"But that can wait, can't it?" she leans in even closer, touching your arm and looking at you with her seductive eyes. "Just take a break with me?" she moves her hand up your leg.
“Come on now, just take a break from studying..." she says, her voice becoming softer and softer, more seductive. "Don't you want some fun with me instead?" she moves her hand up your body, her touch becoming more sensual.
“Marls," you say, barely able to think straight with Marlene's hand on you.
"Just take a break with me, come on...." her fingers start moving over your shirt, slowly running up and down your body.
“You know how to seduce me, Miss Mckinnon..” you grinned, closing your books and notebooks.
“Oh, is that so?" she says, her smile growing even more seductive. "Well then..." Her voice becomes more raspy and breathless as her hands move even further down your body. “Would you come with me to see the new Potions class?”
“Definitely not! We can’t ruin the class, it’s brand-new, Marlene! This time you gonna get caught and I’m not going to be a part of it.”
“It was one time, baby! We will just have fun and enjoy the new classroom before everyone else. Pretty please..”
You shake your head with a smirk, knowing all too well how Marlene's idea of "fun" could easily escalate into chaos. "No way, Marls. I'm not falling for that," you reply firmly, though a part of you is tempted by the excitement of breaking the rules with her. "Let's find a different way to have fun, something less risky."
Despite your initial reluctance, Marlene's persuasive charm wins you over once again. With a sigh and a grin, you give in to her plea. "Fine, but just a quick peek," you agree, unable to resist her infectious enthusiasm. Together, you sneak out of the library, hand in hand, and make your way to the new Potions classroom, eager to explore and enjoy a moment of mischief together.
As you and Marlene step into the new Potions classroom, you’re immediately struck by its enchanting ambiance. The room is spacious, with high ceilings supported by sturdy stone pillars. Soft candlelight flickers on the walls, casting dancing shadows that seem to come alive with magic. It was way better than the old one. You should thank your girlfriend for that for ruining it. You loved Potions and you were very talented obviously. And obviously Marlene wasn’t.
Rows of wooden workbenches stretch out before you, each one meticulously organized with brass scales, mortar and pestle sets, and an array of glass vials and jars containing ingredients. Cauldrons of various sizes simmer gently over low flames, emitting tantalizing aromas that promise potent brews and powerful enchantments.
Everything had been perfect before you got caught. When the door to the Potions classroom swung open, you felt a sudden pang of anxiety shoot through your chest. Time seems to slow down as you realize that you’ve been caught, sneaking into the classroom and make love with your girlfriend Your heart raced, and a wave of dread washed over you as you brace yourself for the consequences of your actions. You couldn’t even think of Marlene, the only thing you could think about were your parents and their voices in your head.
“Disappointment!”
“Disappointment!”
“Disappointment!”
“Disappointment!”
After a minute Mcgonagall came too. She couldn’t believe her eyes. She gave Marlene a good detention and you… you were just standing like a little puppy, waiting your life to end. Mcgonagall decided to not give you a detention, because she was thinking that Marlene was the bad influence and you were innocent. You couldn’t deny. Now you weren’t only your parents disappointment, you were Marlene’s disappointment too. You left her there with all the trouble and detention. You disappointed your girlfriend, just because your fears.
You get up, leaving Marlene all alone there with the punishment. She'll probably hate you for not sticking with her. But what could you do? You were scared of all the trouble you'd be in. You were a disappointment to everyone. How could Marlene see you as anything different?
You start to think it would have been better if you'd just stayed with her. At least then she wouldn't be mad at you. But no, you left her alone, and she probably hates you now.
You hate yourself for it.
You begin to doubt every decision you make. If you can't even stay with Marlene during the detention, what good are you for her? You doubt that she even wants to be with you anymore, it feels like you can never do anything right in her eyes.
You begin to wonder why you even agreed to date Marlene in the first place. She's probably too good for you, right? You're just a mess of a person. You're probably hurting her by being with her, and you're probably damaging her reputation as well by being her girlfriend. All day you were filled with those feelings, crying alone in your dorm room. You couldn’t leave there. You were embarrassed and angry to yourself.
When the dinner time came up, your friends forced you to come with them. When you entered the Great Hall, your eyes were searching for Marlene. She wasn’t there. You barely ate anything from looking for your girlfriend.
After you heard that Marlene was in the detention, you made your way there.
You looked around the detention room, desperately searching for Marlene. You haven't seen her since you left her there, and now that you have time to think about it, you feel even more guilty. Then you spot her in the corner of the room, in one of the chairs. She seems to be sitting alone and in silent thought, she hasn't even noticed you arrive yet. You quietly make your way over to Marlene, your heart beating quickly as you approach her. As you get close, you start to notice her crying. She hasn't heard you yet, so you try to move silently so as not to interrupt her tears…
You stand close to her, but you don't know what to do, you just feel like you should be helping her… you reach out to her, placing your hand gently on her shoulder…
She flinches at first, surprised at your touch, but then she looks up at you, her eyes redded and her face flushed from the crying. She's still crying, but she doesn't look upset at you, just hurt. She looks away, wiping away her tears and trying to stay silent.
"What are you doing here?" she whispers, still wiping her tears.
"I came to find you.. to see how you're doing." you say, you still feel kind of guilty for leaving her all alone.
"You came to check on me?" she says, her voice quivering a bit as you can tell she's a bit shocked by your kindness.
You: "Yeah.." you say, "I wanted to see how you are, especially now that.. it's just, I felt really bad. I'm so so sorry, baby. I know I just left you by yourself." you say, your guilt and shame making you feel even worse.
“It's really fine, honestly, baby.” she murmurs, still sounding a little bit upset. "I was the problem, I should have never taken you there. I just, I can’t help but think that I ruined everything, I know how important your reputation is for you."
"No, baby, it was wrong for me to just leave you like that too."
"Do you hate me now?" she asks suddenly, her voice becoming quieter and almost a whisper, although there's a hint of pain and sadness in it.
“Of course not!” you hugged her. Marlene leaned into the hug, letting out a sigh and holding you close.
“I will never do that again, baby!”
“It’s over, baby” you whispered.
Marlene pulled you close, running her hands through your hair and holding you tightly.
“I'm sorry,” Marlene whispers again, her voice more tender and sincere. You kissed her hair and made sure that she’s comfortable in your arms.

The Prejudice we have.∠※。.:*:・'°☆
Tumblr media
Remus Lupin x gn! reader (platonic) (^з^)-☆
Warnings: Prejudice against werewolves, angst Hurt/comfort
Summary: The reader has prejudice against werewolves because their parents were murdered by them, but they don't know Lupin is one. (Father Child Relationship)
A/n Let me know if you want a part two for this, I always wondered how Lupin would react if someone he cared about had a thing against werewolves without knowing he's one. (つд⊂)
Link to my previous Harry Potter fanfic
Professor Lupin's office was filled with an assortment of caged dark creatures. He was grading papers on his desk, the sound of his quill scrawling on the parchment filling the room. Upon hearing you enter, he looked up from his desk and smiled gently.
"Ah, hello there, my dear."
"Hello, Sir!" You say. You and Lupin had a close bond. You saw him as a father figure but were too shy to say anything about it.
A hint of warmth entered Remus' eyes, a smile on his face as he stood up to greet you. He held out a hand, looking you directly in the eyes. He spoke in a kind and warm tone, making you feel welcomed in his presence.
"Nice to see you," he said with a grin.
He gestured towards one of the armchairs. He began clearing a pile of books and papers off his other chair.
What can I do for you today?
"Oh, I just wanted to hand in my essay that Professor Snape set on werewolves," Handing him the paper.
"I see. Have you done any research?" He asks, a hint of concern in his voice. He was already well aware of the prejudice against werewolves in the wizarding world, so he did not want to get caught.
He seemed very interested in your answer, waiting for your reply as he sat down in his chair.
"Um....sort of. My parents were killed by werewolves, so I already knew how to kill a werewolf before Snape set the essay." You said it was a bit of a touchy- feely subject for you, the other professors already know, but Lupin didn't as he was new this year.
Remus' eyes widened. A pained expression crept onto his face, and his voice filled with a deep sense of remorse. You could see he was holding back tears, a mixture of deep sorrow and anguish in his brown eyes. He took a moment to collect himself and continued in a gentle and soothing voice. He stood up and poured himself a bit of butterbeer, gesturing the bottle towards you.
...How dreadful... He whispered. I am so sorry. Can I... can I get you anything?...
"No, werewolves are just monsters it can't be helped. I wish the ministry did something to eradicate them!" Your voice was cold.
You hated werewolves. They took away the people you loved most now. You had to stay in this Merlin awful muggle orphanage at the instance of Dumbeldore.
Remus gulped, his heart breaking into a million pieces as tears began to fill in his eyes. His throat was filled with a knot of grief. You were a good child. He enjoyed teaching, and he had grown to care about you deeply, but now his heart is heavy upon your words. He stood there, silent, tears forming a trail down his face. For a moment, he was lost in his past. He shook his head, trying to collect himself, and spoke in a soft and sorrowful voice.
"I see. Of course, I do understand your... your feelings about werewolves... I-I should have known..."
"Ok?" You were confused. Why was Lupin crying, you thought.
"Did you know anyone who was murdered by werewolves, sir?"
W-What?... N-no!" He replied, his soft voice shaking. He was caught off guard by your question. He cleared his throat, a deep sorrow lingering in his heart. He cleared his throat, his voice becoming more firm as the lump in his throat went away. He spoke in a soft-spoken but clear voice, now looking you in the eye. But there was still sorrow in his eyes, evident with the trail of tears, now starting to dry. He spoke with kindness. He did his best to push down his sorrow.
"No... of course not."
"Ok..." You were feeling a bit uncomfortable. You had never seen an adult get so emotional before.
"What is your opinion on these Merlin awful creatures then, Sir?"
Remus gulped. He seemed uncertain about answering, but eventually he spoke.
I believe... I believe that, generally... They should be killed. For the safety of society, as you mentioned. They are dangerous. He stopped speaking, looking uncomfortable and anxious." The smile and warmth of his face had left, replaced with sorrow and concern. He looked down at his feet, looking nervous as he clasped his hands together. He spoke in a soft yet unsure voice. "However... I would not condone killing every single one of them because most of them are... peaceful..."
you scoffed, "No disrespect, sir, but I wouldn't call murdering someone's parents 'peaceful.' "
"What makes you think there is any ounce of goodness in these monsters?"
Again, Remus gasped, a deep look of horror on his face. His heart broke a million times, hearing your words. His voice was soft and sad. He sighed, shaking his head as if a small, last shred of hope inside him had left. There was a pained, hurt, and scared look in his eyes, and it seemed as if his eyes might just begin to cry again. A small tear fell from his eye as he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. He could not face you.
"You're.. you're... right..."
you were extremely confused. Why was he so emotional about this?
"Sir, is this a sensitive topic for you?"You said, getting out of your chair and coming close to him.
"Y-Yes... It is..."
He spoke in a low voice, his kind eyes looking down at you. He felt ashamed, guilt eating away at the very core of his being. He felt as if he might just fall apart to pieces. It seemed as though he was on the verge of crying once more, a sadness on his face deep and true. His cheeks had reddened, his soft eyes filled with a deep, horrible pain and shame. A tear streamed down his face as he spoke in a soft, shaky voice, his heart torn apart.
"I'm a werewolf..."
You jumped away from him in horror. ".......pardon?"
He sighed heavily, his shoulders drooping. It seemed as if the very core of Remus' being had been torn apart, his soul leaving his body as he spoke the next words: his voice was full of despair and guilt, his eyes filled with misery, sorrow, and grief. Tears streamed down his face as he spoke in a hoarse, soft whisper. He looked ashamed, but at the same time, there was something beautiful and liberating about the moment — and although they were only just talking to each other for a few minutes, you felt the honesty in his words.
"...I'm a werewolf..."
you began to cry, how? He was so kind. He was the only professor concerned about your well-being. None of you're Professors cared about your life outside of hogwarts.
Remus was shocked. He stared at you, and a look of panic came over his face as he saw your eyes fill with tears. He quickly rushed over and embraced you in a tight hug, his warm, comforting arms surrounding you as a stream of tears flowed down his face. Words can be empty at times, and they can never convey the truth inside us. This was one of those times. You could only feel the deep love and compassion Remus had for you. A pained expression covered his face, deep sorrow in his eyes. He cried with you.
"I'm......sorry, I said those things, I don't...... want you to die." You stutter out.
He tightened the hug, a warm, comforting sensation surrounding you as his arms held you close. You could feel that his hug was a hug of acceptance, a hug of solidarity. Your words had struck a deep cord inside Remus, and he did not want you to feel like he was rejecting you. He spoke in a gentle and kind tone, his voice broken only slightly by his sobs. His emotions had taken over, and he felt overcome by the years of shame, guilt, and sorrow.
"I forgive you..." He whispered, his shoulders shaking. "You did nothing... wrong..."
"I....just.....werewolves have ruined my life....so I had......I'm so sorry!" You hated yourself. The kindest man alive was a werewolf, and you said awful things about his existence.
Remus hugged you tighter, tears streaming down his face. He held you tight, and rocked you slightly. You could feel the love and kindness in his touch, his arms surrounding you like a cocoon of protection and acceptance. He spoke in a soft, gentle tone, now speaking in a broken, wavering voice after having cried for so long. He spoke with honesty and integrity, his heart filled with a deep, heartfelt sorrow; you could feel the pain, the torment, the years of shame and guilt; all of it was present in his voice.
" I understand... I ... I forgive you..." He said, looking you into your eye.
"I promise not to tell anyone," you sniffle out.
He kept hugging you, the tears slowly drying out. There was kindness, integrity, honesty, and sincerity to this man's heart that was rare to find in such a cold, harsh world. You could feel it in his touch, the love and caring, the true, deep compassion and kindness, the heart of gold - you saw it all in this man. He felt like more than a teacher; he felt like an old, true friend - one you could trust and one who would always accept you. He spoke in a soft voice, filled with kindness and acceptance.
"I trust you."

Severus Snape x Reader
Request: yep @NurYgmmr
Summary: yandere snape (established relationship) but also u r a death eater living at Malfoy Manor. Just a Drabble, hope u enjoy :) btw apologize for the text being in weird placed my phone's fucked up at the moment
Warnings: Swearing; possessiveness; cruciatus curse; mentions of Death Eater activity lol
Word Count: 1.3K+
Severus Snape was not a bad man. He was not cruel, generally, or sadistic, mostly, nor was he prone to abuse, unless it was expected of him.
In other words - he could be a bad man.
But that wasn't what you liked to think. Really, you were very reluctant to accept the gravity of his propensity for mistreatment. Not that you were innocent.
It seemed Malfoy Manor was a haunted house - a building, not a home - that encouraged the very worst in every inhabitant, temporary or rooted. You extended your excuses to your topical residence.
There were other monsters living there. But there were also the candid, even there.
•••
Severus Snape tapped his fingers against his thigh to no apparent rhythm. His concentration had never been so hard to keep on a meeting, especially with Nagini hissing every now and then.
But you were still on your mission.
"It was you, wasn't it, Snape? Who said the boy would be moving at that time?" Dolohov called out loudly from the other end of the table. "Where'd you pick it up?"
"It was the original plan," he seethed, glaring.
"Right. Was it the original plan to become the ministry's own little spy-"
"You know I have had no contact since I murdered Dumbledore-"
"Enough!" Narcissa yelled, looking startled at her own outburst. "We all trust in the Dark Lord. Accusations and mistrust are his privilege, only. If we must discuss, why not concerning you, Dolohov? Why have you not been invited to accompany the Lord on his mission to kill the boy? Surely you wanted to?"
Severus could think of nothing but the fight you had had before you left. It was stupid, he knew, but everything felt ten times as intense when he was around you. Even when he wasn't, if he was being honest.
Dolohov sneered. Everyone had heard his pathetic begging in the halls. "Well?" Severus pushed, at least directing his general irritation at someone who was set on troubling him.
"The Dark Lord believes...," he murmured, "that I have been behaving rashly lately."
"I can't believe you, Sev'. We were talking. What about that could possibly make you jealous?"
"I'm not jealous! It's just that when two people who are fundamentally attractive are in a room together, 'talking'-"
"For fuck's sake! I'm about to go on a mission and this is what you wanna talk about? This? It's ridiculous, honey!" The pet name is obviously mocking, which makes it sting even more. He just wanted to... what did he want...? He didn't really believe you'd betray him, but maybe the other guy... Lucius..."
"He's a married man! He's married and I'm not interested and he's kinda my friend! That bloke's not interested in me, and I'd be careful, because your interest in becoming obsessive!"
You stormed out, slamming the door. He fell to his knees, head in his hands. What had he done?
"Really? What did you-"
Severus could hear the heavy doors swinging open from afar and jumped up, abandoning every thought of rash Death Eaters. He almost tripped twice running down stairs and over elaborate carpets, but eventually he made it to the door, where Bellatrix was groaning theatrically.
"The Potter boy?" he asked breathlessly, though his eyes didn't stop scanning the entry for you and he really couldn't care at that moment. All those years he had waisted looking after Harry, just for Lily Evans! Of course he had loved her, probably he still did, but what nonsense had the old man tricked him with, saying that it mattered what she had died for? She was gone, she was gone, she was gone.
He had learned to live with that, as long as you weren't.
Just as he could feel the last ounce of calm diverge from his brain, just as the Dark Lord said Potter had survived but some of theirs hadn't...
There you were. Disheveled and tired, but still, there you were.
"Sev," you whispered, wrapping an arm around him as half a hug. "We failed. But just the battle, not the war, I hope." You seemed to have forgotten about the fight, and he couldn't be more glad.
"Go to bed," he pleaded, though he knew you wouldn't. He tried to inconspicuously place his hands on some parts of your body, trying to see if you were hurt.
"I'm fine," you said curtly, answering both his worries. "You're probably more brought up about this than I am."
"Hurry up, bloody lovebirds," Bellatrix hissed from ahead, only turning when you nodded at her wearily. Severus had never understood how you could be so close to such a maniac. Then again, how far from a maniac was he?
"C'mon."
The Dark Lord seethed at the head of the table, scaring everyone into silence with his own. "We lost, today," he said finally, keeping a dangerously firm grip on Nagini. "We did not capture, or hurt, or kill the boy. Harry..."
Severus looked at you. "Kill anybody?" he murmured, hoping for the insurance that you were 'helpful'.
"No, but I did blast one of the Weasley boys' ears off... your curse, actually, that Sectumsempra one..."
"And you!" Voldemort cried, pointing his wand - or Lucius', rather - at you. "You had an opening! You saw the owl, you knew it was him, you were so close... could have knocked him off his broom..."
"I didn't want to accidentally kill him," you replied honestly, but before you could finish speaking, you toppled over the back of your chair, writhing in agony.
Severus sprang up, casting desperate glanced from you to the Dark Lord and back again. You were in pain, pain, pain, he had to do something, something...
You groaned through clenched teeth, rolling and tossing on the ground. Everything hurt. Everything hurt so badly. Why was this happening? Where were you...?
"For Merlyn's sake!" Severus cried, and the curse stopped.
He paused as you lay there, limp. What would the Dark Lord do now? Torture him instead? Torture you more?
"Take her to her room," he commanded, and in seconds Severus had scooped you up, carrying you away as fast as he could.
"Put me down," you muttered halfway up the steps, determined to regain some dignity.
"No."
"Sev," you growled, and he reluctantly obeyed, only lending you some support. He pushed open the door to your room, shutting it hastily.
You collapsed on the bed, gesturing for him to join you. "Relax, darling. He wouldn't let us go just to tease. I don't think. C'mon, lie down."
He did, slowly melting into the dark covers as you ran your fingers along his side. "I'm so scared," he admitted quietly, and you listened.
"Every time you're on a mission or he talks to you alone, anything... I just imagine life without you and I can't-"
"I'm not going to die," you stated, "but if I did - I won't - then you would be fine, anyway. There is no one I trust as much as you to find something to hold onto, okay? But it doesn't matter, because I'm here. I've survived plenty of torture already. I've survived countless missions already. We're on the mighty side of history. I'm here. I'm yours. Okay? Just like you're not allowed to die for me, okay?"
"Right," he breathed, hands still shaking. "Right."
"C'm'ere. You're safe with me. We're both safe, okay? For now, at least. Come on." He leaned into your touch, feeling warmth spread throughout his body. This is what he fought for, everyday.
"I forgive you," you said quietly. He felt like crying.
"I love you," he said for the first time, and though he didn't miss the way you tensed beneath him, he smiled.
"I love you, too, Sev'."

Walk through hell with you
Student Severus and reader (Can be platonic or romantic)
You wake up confused and scared from nightmare/memory and Severus is there to comfort you.
(tw; past childhood trauma, nondescript. Panic attack)
Hands put your empty hands in mine And scars show me all the scars you hide And hey, if your wings are broken Please take mine 'til yours can open too 'Cause I'm gonna stand by you
}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{
You woke up gasping. Your eyes searched franticly around you as your mind warred with itself. You weren't still in your old room, were you? The rational part of your mind was being squashed by the flooding panic as you felt like you were still in your old house, still trapped and alone. A deep, soft voice slowly cut through your panic and you felt a gentle hand on your shoulder, "It's alright. You're safe, you're in the library with me. It's alright." Slowly, your breathing calmed. Still shaking though, you finally registered that you were on a couch in the school's library. It was dark outside. You remembered that you and Severus had come here after dinner to study. Severus was kneeling on the floor beside you, his hand still on your shoulder, still speaking softly, "That's it. Come back to me. You're with me, it's alright." As you calmed down some more and the world came into focus again, Severus moved to sit on the couch beside you. You noticed that he'd laid his cloak over you like a blanket when you'd fallen asleep. He was looking at you with such soft care and concern in his dark eyes. Without a word, you shuffled closer and cuddled up against him, your head on his shoulder and arms around his ribs. He wrapped his arms around you and rested his head atop yours. You didn't want to talk, and he didn't ask you too. There was nothing either of you could say you didn't already know. The safety and warmth of this hug was worth more than any words.
You stayed like that for a long while after you'd stopped trembling and your heartbeat calmed too normal. Neither of you wanted to let go. But the sound of the curfew bell made you two reluctantly get up and gather your things. Severus walked you back to your dorm, holding your hand securely in his. The two of you talking about the assignments you were working on, making the thoughts that had flooded your mind this evening retreat to the shadows once again. The past couldn't be changed, and demons never fully banished. But neither of you had to face them alone anymore.

Emotionally Vulnerable - Severus Snape
Tumblr media
A/N: Day 4 of writing for every character on my masterlist. Fate is really giving me characters that I have not written for in such a long time. This is going to be another short one because today’s prompt theme is crying and I just don’t see Snape being that comforting with tears. But I’m not breaking my own rules so here we go… this is absolute trash in my opinion lol
Prompt/s Used: Were you crying?
You walked into potions class biting back tears with every ounce of strength you had left in you. You thanked Merlin that this was the last class of the day and you could hide out in your dorm for the evening. It had been a stressful week. It felt like all of your professors met together and decided to schedule all of their exams within the same week. Everyone except Professor Snape. The cold-hearted man was your saving grace of the week. His classes were filled with lectures and today was the day you began brewing the potion discussed in class.
It helped that potions was your favorite class. You were a Slytherin, so Snape was much nicer to you. You felt calm, working in silence over your cauldron, stirring ingredients and taking measurements. You let your emotions take over as you read through your textbook, tears finally spilling over and making their way down your cheeks. You were grateful for the darkness of the classroom, and for your spot in the corner of the room. You were close enough to Snape’s desk that you could carry a small conversation with him if you pleased, but far enough that you could do your own thing.
What you didn’t realize was that the professor could see your tears. He watched you, brows creased ever so slightly with worry. Of all of his students, you were one he seldom worried about. You excelled in his class, asking for help only when necessary, and staying quiet most of the time. So the fact that you were crying shocked him.
Class ended and Snape watched as you quickly threw all of your belongings into your bag, throwing it over your shoulder and racing to the door.
“L/N, stay a moment?” he called out, causing you to stop in your tracks.
You bit your lip and squeezed your eyes closed, cursing anyone and anything as you quickly wiped the tears from your skin and turned around with a small smile. “Yes?”
“Come here, will you?” You nodded jerkily, stepping over to your professor’s desk. You glanced at him quickly, hoping this would be over soon so you could go cry in peace.
“Were you crying?” he asked bluntly. You startled, wondering how he could ask you so nonchalantly. “Y/N, I’ve been a professor for many years. It doesn’t faze me.” His cold eyes met yours. He almost looked annoyed, but you weren’t bothered by it. That’s how he usually was, right?
You cleared your throat, nodding slightly. “Yes, Professor Snape.” You retreated your gaze to the inkpot on his desk.
“Is there anything I need to take care of?” This was the most concern you had ever heard from Snape, and needless to say you were baffled.
“No, sir.”
“Alright then, you may be on your way.” You thanked him, offering a small smile before practically running out of the classroom and to your common room.
That night, Snape watched over you during dinner, and then checked in one last time before you headed to bed. He wasn’t comforting by any means, but he still cared and you saw that, thanking him again before turning in for the night.

Severus Snape x y/n - A rainy day
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Read on AO3 here | Words 623 Summary: An imagine of how I imagine Severus in an established relationship, his s/o (it’s a she and +18) always doing silly things because she wants him to take care of her. This time it will be y/n getting wet because it’s raining outside.
A/N: This is an imagine of how I would see Severus in certain situations while in an established relationship.
I will post more stuff that I am preparing, others darker than this. And please remember I am not a native english speaker!
Triggers / Warnings: I don’t see anything that should be mentioned, if you think, please let me know.  ----------------------------------------------------
Peeking through the window of the house in Spinner’s End Severus sees y/n walking extremely slowly. Well, it’s not like she has always been fast when it comes to walking, she is always huffing and complaining at the long legs his boyfriend Severus has but this time is different.
“Why is this silly girl going so slow under the rain?” he whispered, taking into the form of your clothes getting more wet with each passing second.
He gently massaged his temples but a small and faint smile appeared on his lips because he knew what would come first: your pouty lips ordering him to take care of you or otherwise you would get sick.
And she knew that Severus would do it over and over again.
You, on the other hand, were enjoying how the rain was pouring over you. So fresh, so different, it was a moment you took to sort your thoughts while coming back home but you took your sweet time knowing that Severus would scold you for a few minutes and then he would concede to your requests of taking care of you. Before you could raise your hand to knock on the door it opened slowly, revealing the form of your boyfriend wearing a serious expression on his face.
You quickly got on your tiptoes to place a kiss on his lips but he grabbed both of your wrist to stop you from doing that.
“You silly girl” he said looking at you raising his eyebrow “What do you think you are doing? Come inside now” He pushed you inside and closed the door leaving you all wet in the middle of the living room.
“How many times have I told you to stop behaving like a child and act like a woman of your age?” There he goes, lecturing you once again about your behavior but you knew that he didn’t really mean that. The reason? He was almost, almost smirking. You knew him too well. If he was serious he would be crossing his arms and looking at you without even flinching but he wasn’t.
That’s why you took the opportunity to try to run to his arms to make his clothes wet as well.
“Don’t you dare or you will sleep on the sofa” He walked backwards raising his fingers towards you trying to look scary.
“It will be you who will be sleeping on the sofa if you don’t help me with these wet clothes. I need to get some dry ones and perhaps… a bath?”
And there it was, your pouty lips looking at him knowing he wouldn’t  say no.
And of course, Severus sighed, feeling defeated, unable to fight your charms.
“Wait here.” he simply said and he went upstairs.
After a few minutes he carried you to the bathroom in a bridal style, slowly taking off your wet clothes and tossing them on the floor.
He prepared a warm bath for you, full of bubbles and a hint of lavender, exactly as you liked it. You giggled knowing you won this time and he just shook his head, still silent but a smile plastered on his face as he finished undressing you.
You got into the bath closing your eyes at the feeling of the warm water soothing your skin and the feeling of Severus hands combing your hair.
After a few minutes basking into each other's presence and the silence he placed a kiss on the top of your head, whispering softly.
“You will be the death of me, but please, don’t be so foolish to put on risk your health” You nodded slowly, feeling sleepy and promising him that it will be fine as far as he is there to take care of you.

author’s note: y’all i’m.. idk. i have no idea how i got this idea but the moment i thought of it, i couldn’t get it out of my mind. I absolutely adore the hogwarts profs,,,, sigh. i'm pathetic, i know.
severus and filius’s parts are from your point of view. minerva and pomona’s parts are from their point of view. :)
warnings: snape’s part is about you coping with the aftermath of a detention with umbridge, so there are brief mentions of the scarring on your hand (from the blood quill). in general, there’s also fainting and general exhaustion. other than that, this fic is fluffy.
Severus Snape
Tumblr media
You mutter a goodbye and walk down the stairs from Umbridge’s office. Your hand is shoved in your pocket—as you don’t want anyone to see it—but the fabric rubs against your wound and it burns. You grit your teeth and walk faster, feeling your vision begin to blur with tears. You quickly rub at your eyes, trying your best to keep your composure. You’ll be fine. It’ll be fine. Everything will be fine.
You’re so busy trying to convince yourself of your own welfare that you don’t notice the other person walking towards you until you bump shoulders with you. You look up, only to find Snape himself staring down at you. “Sorry, Professor.” You grimace, waiting for an insult.
Sure enough, Snape’s mouth is moving, but you have no idea what he’s saying. You squint at him and try to process his statements, but his voice sounds garbled. The professor’s expression fluctuates from annoyed to irritated to pinched.
“What?” Your voice sounds strange and you feel wobbly all of a sudden, as if your sense of balance was suddenly taken from you. You clench your uninjured fist and try to keep calm. The last thing you need is to make a fool of yourself in front of Snape.
To your immense displeasure, that is exactly what you end up doing. Your knees buckle and you fall to the ground. You wince as you careen towards the ground, dreading the intense collision with the granite below you. Fortunately, your landing is... extremely soft. You have a gut feeling that someone casts a cushioning charm just before you fall. Unfortunately, you can’t focus on this—namely because your vision is fading at the edges and you’re drifting into unconsciousness. The last thing you see before you completely fall into an unwanted slumber is Snape’s wide eyes as he looks down at you.
You wake up in the hospital wing with a dark shadow at the edge of your vision. It takes a moment for your vision to clear as you sit up. When it finally does, you’re surprised to find Snape looming over you, an infuriated expression on his face. He crosses his arms over his chest and berates you for several minutes, until Madam Pomfrey takes notice and shoos him out of the room.
Despite Snape’s harsh words, you can’t help but feel grateful for his concern. You resolve yourself to thank him later for bringing you to the hospital wing. For now, though, you recline in bed and fall asleep once more.
Minerva McGonagall
Tumblr media
Minerva is walking down the halls, lost in thought. She spent the past few hours grading her fifth years’ essays, and she has Transfiguration on her mind. In fact, the professor is so distracted that she nearly trips over you. At the last second, fortunately, she catches herself and stops in her tracks.
You lie on the floor, your back leaned up against the wall behind you. For an awful moment, Minerva thinks you’re not breathing. She quickly relaxes, however, after casting a quick diagnostic spell. It appears that you’re just... incredibly fatigued. In fact, she has to blink and reread the warnings given to her through the spell before recollecting herself.
It’s a miracle that you’re breathing. Your natural magic stores are deprived, not to mention, your energy levels leave much to be desired. Minerva frowns at the circles under your eyes and the furrow to your eyebrows. It seems that you’re not able to relax, even in sleep.
Minerva stands before you for a long moment, contemplating what to do. Eventually, she decides on saying your name. It only takes a few tries before you’re blinking your eyes open dazedly. Minerva resists a laugh at the panic that goes through you when you notice her presence.
“Oh, Professor!” You seem to be gearing up for a justification, so Minerva interjects before you can make up an absurd excuse.
“I must insist that I escort you to the hospital wing.” Suddenly, there’s a pleading look in your eyes and she sighs. She understands the sentiment, she really does. The hospital wing is always filled to the brim with students. No doubt you would raise some attention if you stayed there. Minerva pinches the bridge of her nose. “Fine. To my office, then.”
Minerva makes you some tea and offers you some Pepper-Up Potion. You claim that you’re not hungry, but when she puts out biscuits you eat them. She shakes her head in exasperation.
She makes sure to send you off with an order to go straight to bed. As you walk away, Minerva exhales slowly. She promises herself that she’ll check on you tomorrow morning.
Filius Flitwick
Tumblr media
You’re making your Prefect rounds late at night. The castle is remarkably quiet. Throughout your patrol, you’ve only seen one student—and they were another Prefect. In the silence of the castle halls, you find your exhaustion beginning to catch up to you. Your eyes threaten to slip shut every few moments, and your eyelids even begin to sting.
Your walking pace begins to slow as you grow more aware of the tiredness pulling at your core. Even so, you continue to patrol the castle. It’s your job, after all.
You don’t realize that you’re beginning to nod off until it’s nearly too late. One moment, your eyes are closing, and the next your body is tipping and your balance is falling to the side. Just as you’re careening to the ground, you’re gently pushed back up to a standing position. To your surprise, there’s a bluish light under your left elbow. You turn around, only to find Professor Flitwick staring at you with wide eyes.
Filius says something in Gobbledygook and you startle. He takes in your wide eyes and uncertain posture before calmly asking you to follow him to his office. You traipse along at his side. Every few seconds, you notice the professor glancing at you, as if making sure you’re alright. You’re slightly embarrassed.
“Prefects need to take care of themselves, too,” Flitwick says once the two of you are situated in his office. He asks you some questions about your sleep schedule and your workload for your classes. When you mention that you’re taking seven classes, his eyes widen and he shakes his head in disbelief. “I’ll find another Prefect to cover your patrol tomorrow. Now, go get some sleep.” You nod, grateful that the professor doesn’t seem angry with you. He bids you a good night and you leave feeling considerably lighter. Once you get back to your dormitory and get into bed, you immediately fall asleep.
Pomona Sprout
Tumblr media
Pomona is fiercely protective of all students, Hufflepuff or not. When she comes across you holding a hand to your side, face pinched as if in pain, she nearly snaps her wand in half. Pomona clenches her fists and makes her way over to you.
“Are you alright?” She already knows the answer to the question, but you try to nod your head anyway. Pomona sighs. Sometimes, students are needlessly prideful. Fortunately, she knows some minor healing spells. She makes quick work of healing your injury, before looking you up and down. You look disheveled and a bit confused. Pomona knows that asking you about the incident will not help, but she has one question that she must ask.
“Who did this?” You balk at this, your eyes widening. You remain silent for a few moments and Pomona sighs. “Tell me now, hon, or I’ll find out.” Something in her expression must give her convictions away, because you eventually tell her the names of the people that cursed you. Pomona makes sure to remember their names before she helps you to stand up.
Then, Pomona takes you to the kitchens and asks the elves for a light snack. The two of you chuckle as the elves give you far more than just a snack. After you eat, she’s pleased to notice that your shoulders aren’t hunched and you don’t look stressed anymore. Pomona makes sure to stay with you as long as you need. When you express your desires to go to sleep, she walks you back to your dormitory and makes you promise to go to her if another like incident occurs.
The moment the door falls shut behind you, Pomona sets off down the hallway. She has some bullies to take points from, after all.

I was always wondering how Severus would be as a private person. Just doing domestic things. Brushing his hair, reading in candle light, wearing every day attire, maybe writing a poem...

Embarrassment at Spinner’s End
Request: I know it’s along the same lines as your other one but could you possibly do one where you are in a relationship with Snape and you’re on your period and you accidentally leak on the bed.
Trigger warning: talks of periods and menstruation and blood.
I wake up and feel that familiar ache in my stomach that tells me my period is here. Oh great I thought, I get ready to get up and go to the bathroom before it can really get going but then I feel the wetness underneath me “oh shit” I mutter. I quietly grab my wand from the nightstand trying as hard as possible not to disturb Severus but too late he’s already noticed my shuffling and began sitting up. I inwardly groan.
“Lumos” I hear as a faint light shines from his wand. ”What’s a matter y/n?” he asks softly. It always surprises me how perceptive he is, anyone else would have thought I was just moving about to get comfortable but somehow he just knows there’s something up. The thing is I never did perfect silent spells so I can’t really just clear up my mess without him noticing me muttering the spell under my breath. I also have no idea how he’s going to react, in the 6 months we’ve been seeing each other we’ve never really talked about my monthly visitor. We’ve both been busy and it’s never ended up coinciding with the time we’ve spent together.
I take a deep breath it, screw it I might as well tell the truth I mean I don’t think I can come up with a convincing lie at this point I’m still half asleep. Also I really do need to get to the bathroom to sort myself out. “Nothing really, it’s kind of embarrassing… I umm kinda started my period in my sleep and I leaked a bit on the bed. I’m really sorry I was just about to clean it up. I hope you’re not upset.” I rambled.
“Upset?! Why would I be upset it’s perfectly natural. I’m a teacher for god sake a head of house at that, I’ve had to deal with many a menstruating student. My girlfriend’s period is nothing to get upset over. Allow me” he quickly wordlessly cleans up the mess on the bed with his wand. “Do you need me to get you anything? Do you have supplies with you?”
“Oh crap” I realise no I didn’t. We were at his house and Mother Nature had decided to surprise me a few days early. “Do you think a muggle supermarket might be open this late?” I looked at the clock it was 3:15 in the morning.
“I mean probably not it’s a Sunday, but I do have some emergency supplies for you in the bathroom cupboard just incase this were to happen one day. They might not be the exact brands you use but there’s some tampons and pads, I wasn’t sure which you’d prefer so I got both. I figured it didn’t matter in an emergency so much. I can go out once the shops open in the morning for you however and get your preferred kind.” He says soothingly.
“You have things for me? We’ve never even talked about my period before, how long have you had them?” I was taken aback by the sweetness of this gesture.
“Since you first started staying here, I also have some pain potion readily brewed incase you have any pain associated with your period. Now why don’t you get to the bathroom before we need to clean up another mess.” He says looking concerned.
I blush and go red in embarrassment again in the glow of his still lit wand I know he can tell. “Oh yeah I should…” I trail off and get up trying to face away from him so he won’t be able to see the mess on the shorts I slept in.
“You don’t need to hide from me Y/n I’m not going to be scared off by the sight of a little blood. Do you need me to get you that potion? Or are you okay for now?” He chuckles softly at my attempt at walking backwards.
“Yeah the potion would be good thank you, my stomach hurts a little” I reply sheepishly then bolt to the bathroom. Once in there I check the cupboard and like he promised the two packages are in there, I pick up the box of tampons and notice a note I grab it and read it.
“I’m sorry you’ve had to use these emergency supplies, I do not envy you women for what you have to go through. I hope you’re feeling okay and just remember I love you. Yours Sev” My heart melts a little at the words and I feel a tear trickle down my face. I quickly wipe it away, damn hormones making me all sappy. I then quickly sort myself out and take my shorts off and underwear off and putting on the spare pair of underwear I took to the bathroom with me but not knowing what to do about the shorts. I put the dirty clothes in the laundry and then hear a light rap at the bathroom door.
“Sorry to disturb you but I have left a black shirt outside the door if you wanted to wear that to bed for the rest of the night. It should be long enough on you that you won’t be too indecent but I don’t have anything else that would be suitable and I assume you don’t want to put your jeans back on to sleep in.” Severus says slightly muffled by the door. This man really does think of everything.
“Thank you, the shirt would be perfect thank you, I don’t have anything else.” I reply gratefully.
“I’ll see you back in bed” he states as I hear him leave. God damn it I’m crying again. Does he really have to be this sweet to me? People always warned me away from Severus when we first started seeing each other. They told me he’s cold and he won’t care about me, he’ll only want one thing. But I never once saw the person that they were describing I saw a kind, passionate man who will stop at nothing to protect the people he cares about the most. I mean just look at how he takes care of Harry and no one even notices all because of how much he cared for Lily.
I get changed and exit the bathroom and make my way over to the bed lighting the way with my wand. I notice a blue concoction on the nightstand and I pick it up “is this the pain potion?” I ask hopefully, my stomach was really starting to bother me now.
“Yes, oh y/n have you been crying?” he looks concerned again. “If it’s because you’re embarrassed please know there’s nothing to be ashamed about, it’s only me. Please I hate to see you embarrassed in front of me, all I want is to see you comfortable and happy.”
I quickly drink down the potion ignoring the bitter taste and feeling relieved by the instantaneous warmth that spreads the pain doesn’t vanish completely but it fades to a dull ache. “No it’s not that,” I say reassuringly. “ I mean I am still embarrassed I can’t help that but that’s not why I was crying, I’m just hormonal and all of your sweet gestures just got me a little overwhelmed that’s all. I’m not used to someone caring about me this much. I am so in love with you my grumpy old man” I sniff a little at that doing my best to try not to well up again.
He laughs “Enough of the grumpy old man please, I am only 38 not exactly a pensioner yet. My darling you are my world, I could never bear to see you in any kind of discomfort. I love you with all my heart.”
“Okay okay please stop being so cute or I’ll start crying again” I say as I get into bed and cuddle into him.
He kisses the top of my head and hugs me tightly back. “We wouldn’t want that now would we. How’s the pain now?.”
“A lot better, still there but I think I will be able to fall asleep easier now. Thank you Severus for everything.” I reply. I think he says something back but I’m already drifting off.
The next day he surprised me with breakfast in bed and we watched my favourite muggle films on his seemingly ancient television set. Honestly wizards really need to get with the times, I think the technology doesn’t work around magic is a load of rubbish and wizards just don’t want to think muggles have the capability of making useful inventions without magic. I’m so grateful to be muggleborn so I can have the best of both worlds.
I was really dreading having to deal with my period for the first time around Sev but I know now there was never anything to worry about. He will always be there to take care of me, I know that now. I don’t think I could be more in love with this man if I tried.

If you're waiting for a lonely flower amidst a garden update no you did not see this
word count : 1738
--------------------------------------------
You had just finished a good reading session. This is what you liked the most about living in the countryside, endless fields, nature and most importantly a well deserved suspension of the usual buzzing sound that came from cities and human interactions. Even if everything was far from you, the peace and quiet from your surroundings made up for it. As you held your book loosely by your side, you saw a figure covered in dark clothing limp in the distance, clutching their lower abdomen. You slowed down, now hesitantly putting one foot before the other. Thanks to Voldemort, the entire wizarding world lived in darkness, fear and chaos now overtaking every citizen. Being wary of anyone outside of family members and close friends was now the norm. The fact that you were adventuring outside was already dangerous. Except that you lived in such a recluse area that it never crossed your mind that danger would come, until you saw that black figure hobble in the direction opposite yours.
The source of your worries collapsed on the ground. Rather than feeling relieved, you felt panic surge inside you. You rushed over the individual to see a puddle of  blood forming around the body. Long black hair, as dark as the robe he wore, the figure indicated that of a man. You kneeled before him, careful not to soil yourself in the pool of blood.
“Are you alright?!” You raised your free hand towards him, as he groaned for an answer causing you to stop in your tracks. You could tell by the amount of blood spilling that it was only a matter of time before this man was at death’s door.
“Damn it.” Forget about the dark times and being wary of strangers, there was a person about to die in front of you and if anything, enough of them had died already. With enough luck, this might just be an Auror and you could be rewarded handsomely if you saved his life. You carefully threw your book a few feets away from you, making a mental note to come back for it later whilst you grabbed the now unconscious man by the arms before disapparating so as to appear in front of your house.
You struggled to open the door. In fact you struggled as you dragged him all the way to your room. Thankfully your little cottage only had one floor. With difficulty, you took off his robe and his shirt revealing the true nature of his wound and most importantly, the Death Eater mark on his arm. You backed away, an almost inaudible shriek escaping your lips. You stared at the man in pain with horror as you debated what the correct course of action was.
“Lily…”
The unexpected wailing brought you back to your senses. Having regained consciousness, you saw the eyes of the man fixated upon you, sweat dripping all over his face while his eyes reflected tenderness, seemingly at the thought of mistaking you for someone else. You remained motionless. Right, these people also have loved ones. And right now it seemed to you that your only chance of survival was to play it off as his while the misunderstanding lasted.
“I’m glad you’re here.” He panted, and winced in pain, making you feel bad for him. Slightly.
“I don’t think you should speak.” You could feel your palm getting sweaty by the second. Whatever happened to him, he probably deserved it being a Death Eater and all but still, seeing a man at death’s door in your room didn’t leave you indifferent.
“I know. I simply wanted to tell you–” He coughed, spitting blood. You twitched at the sight of yet more gore sullying your neatly polished room.
God no. It sounded like the last words of a man ready to die. “I told you not to speak. I won’t let you die.” You reluctantly said. Your mind had made a decision, but your body refused to cooperate.
“I see. If it’s not too much trouble then, I’m in your care.” He gave you a smile that seemed to cost him all his energy, before he turned his gaze to the ceiling.
You stood there for a while. It took a lot of willpower for your body to finally move. You knew you were heading to an early grave, yet you couldn’t find a way out of this. If you left him alone, his death would weigh on your mind for the rest of your life and if he lived well, at least you felt satisfied with the number  of books you had the chance to read.
As you exited the room, you wondered if his wand was in his robe you just took off or hidden somewhere in his pants. You shuddered at the thought. You fetched a bucket of water along with multiple towels, alcohol, bandages and painkillers. You steeled your nerves as you were about to reenter the room, ready to lay hands on one of the most wanted criminals. If anyone were to learn of your forthcoming actions, Azkaban would most likely be the outcome.
You treated him with caution, thanks to your love for books, you had gathered knowledge on the matter. Yet, your hands remained uncertain and his simple movements were enough to make you whimper in fear. Thankfully, he didn’t seem to take notice of it.
“Do you remember the day we first met?”
Nope.
You clutched the bandages tightly in your hands as you wrapped them around his wound, having helped him into a sitting position with much difficulty. “Yeah.” You made sure not to meet his gaze, and prayed he didn’t ask for the exact circumstances. Dammit, why couldn’t he just stay silent?
“I feel like I’m meeting you again for the first time. Weird isn’t it.” His voice sounded less painful thanks to your medical attention yet was still that of a wounded man.
You gave a nervous laugh in response. What nonsense was this man saying? You wanted to run out of the room as quickly as possible. So you did.
“Alright, I’m done.” You helped him lay down before adding, “I’m gonna get these cleared out.” You grabbed the bucket and handful of other things you brought along with you. Walked to the door with such speed while saying just as quickly, “do call me if you need anything.” You shutted the door behind you knowing damn well he couldn’t properly call for you in the position he was in.
“I’m doomed.” The thought of death didn’t scare you, hence why you merely sighed as you made your way to the bathroom, before taking in the full impact of the blood trail this individual had left on your floor whilst you dragged him around. Suddenly death by the hands of a Death Eater seemed like the least of your concern as you quickly grabbed all you needed to disinfect your cottage.
Evening’s colors started creeping from the windows, soon announcing the dread and fear that nighttime now brought for everyone. This made you remember that one of those instigators of nightmares was now residing in your chamber. You grabbed a couple bandages on the way, thinking his might need a change. As you opened the door to your room, you found him in a sitting position. This will make things easier, you thought. Except that you noticed the gentle gaze he had before was now replaced by a dangerous glare.
You stood in the doorframe. “Your bandages need to be changed.” You mechanically said.
“Right.” He said in a manner just audible enough. “Do come over then.”
You carefully walked, taking notice of the wand that rested in his right hand, ready to attack at any given moment. You also noticed that his robe weren’t how you previously left them. So his wand was in his robe all this time. Nonetheless, you cursed yourself for not taking it back with you earlier. You consoled yourself by thinking that anyone gutsy enough who isn’t an Auror trying to defy a Death Eater is delusional. Better listen and execute their request than risk dying.
You took care of him with steady hands, now more careful than ever not to hurt him. He remained silent, simply doing motions with his thumb on his wand, as a reminder.
That you were at his mercy.
That you could die at any moment.
“You’re a bad person aren’t you?” A stupid question to ask really, but the silence was making you suffocate.
“It depends.” He said.
“On what?” Now you were starting to play with fire and you knew it.
“On you.” He gave you a glance and you instantly understood what he meant. He would let you go if you didn’t cross any line. What a relief.
“Oh. But do tell me your name then.” You ignored the warning look he gave you. “I’m not going to sell you out or something. If I wanted to do so I would've done it by now rather than save you. I’d just like to know the name of the Death Eater I had the fortune to save.” You introduced yourself first, thinking it would make him more eager to tell his name.
Yet, he remained silent as you finished treating his wound. He put his clothes back on with difficulty, refusing your help as you stepped away from him. You felt a sense of relief seeing that he was finally about to leave. He crossed the room to reach for the door. “You will speak of this to no one. Understand?”
You nodded in approval.
He gave you a last glance, just as he was about to close the door behind him. “The name’s Severus Snape.”
Your knees gave up and you stumbled on the floor. Severus Snape huh? You certainly would remember him for the rest of your life. You felt your heart pumping in your head, despite the reassurance that your life was now free of danger, while also taking deep breaths so as to calm yourself. You distracted yourself by an intense cleanout of your room, refusing to sleep in the eventuality that he might come back to claim your life. This was the biggest incident to ever happen in your existence after the death of your parents, as you hoped it would be the last anomaly in your little country girl life.

I need, and I mean need in terms of emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing, for someone to either recommend or write a fanfiction where a (preferably but not necessarily female) character comforts Snape by brushing his hair.
Like.
It could be a little ritual they do on cold winter evenings, huddled in blankets in front of a warm fire. Because you just know dungeons are particularly freezing and Severus would rather shiver than magically increase the temperature of his rooms. And we understand and respect that need for familiar discomfort so we make sure he has a soft blanket and a steaming hot drink while brushing his hair long after having smoothed out any tangles, until he is relaxed and warm and ready to be tucked into bed.
Or it could be that he had a long week so he absolutely had to be treated to a bath, after which we would of course have to brush the hair we previously washed. Perhaps after there would be some cuddling on the couch, with each reading their own book but occasionally stealing fond glances, reassuring themselves in equal measure that this mundane happiness, this little miracle of their own, will not slip from them as it had in the past.
Maybe it is a nightly ritual, woven into their shared life. Because life can be a lot and sleep rarely comes easily, but having someone who understands that and gives you space when you need it is helpful. Having someone who is there when being alone becomes unbearable, who fits into your life so seamlessly yet you can’t imagine life without, whose presence alone soothes your very being, whose caring touch brings you solace and bliss - is all you had never admitted you dreamed of and more.
It’s perfect.
