the organic tissue on the arms and upper legs is mostly aesthetic and for shock absorption. the lack of complex wrist and foot bones means they have a different range of movement to humans. they can extend/flex their hands and supinate/pronate, but lack the ability to perform ulnar/radial deviation. to allow for complex foot movements, they have a ball and socket joint in lieu of an ankle (tho it is higher on the leg). they cannot perform dorsal or plantar flexion at will, but their anatomy accommodates for it in the case of heavy impacts or unconventional positioning.

they have power lines connecting from their battery to the energy weapons. i'm not a physicist or anything, but i like to imagine they have cooling fans in their forearms that double as extra generators to prevent them from using too much battery power all at once.
