Long awaited~

Damian was growing sick and tired.

Sick and tired of the fact that for the past few months, he’s been seeing and hearing you through his phone screen. The Teen Titans had a mission, one that should have lasted no longer than two weeks, but they had come across multiple obstacles that made them unable to come home.

And Damian grew impatient for those months—going as far as trying to do the mission alone to get it done quicker which had resulted in him getting hurt and a bad scolding from you over the phone. So now he lays in a bed that’s not his as he lays on his side with his phone in hand. He can see you on the screen in your bedroom with the lights off. And you’re sound asleep with your TV playing in the background, snuggled up warm under your blankets. A visible frown forms on his face.

Oh, how he misses the warmth of your embrace at night.

And he awaits for the day Kory deems it safe to go back home.

A few days fly by right after, his stuff is all packed, and he’s dressed in his regular clothes as he sits in the back of a limousine. Finally, he’s able to go back. As the window that divides his side from the driver goes down—Damian gets a glimpse of Alfred in the rearview mirror.

“Miss.Y/N waits for you at the gate of the manor Master Damian” he can hear the butler say.

Damian leans forward slightly. “Will she?”

Alfred can only answer with a hum. Damian’s practically at the edge of his seat when the gates open to the manor and he’s the first one out of the vehicle. Leaving his stuff behind, Alfred has no problem with getting them himself and he’s sure you’ll scold Damian for leaving the poor old butler to get it.

But Damian doesn’t care, not one bit. Not when he sees you at the bottom of the steps with Titus and Alfred waiting for his arrival patiently. There’s a book in your hand and you flip through the pages completely unaware of your lover’s presence. It’s not until Titus lets out a rumble of barks that has you jumping in your spot and your heart pounding. You stare down at home confused, following his gaze. Damian can see the way your eyes light up with a bright smile forming on your lips.

You place the book down—losing your place but you don’t care as you push yourself up from the steps. Damian greets his pets first—there’s no ignoring them when Titus playfully attacks him, greeting the owner with long licks for kisses. When Damian is finally able to get away from the large dog he makes a Beeline for you as you stretch out your arms—waiting for the long-awaited embrace. It’s warm—snuggling closer to the taller boy's embrace, once that you had missed so much. And you could say the same for Damian as he hold you closer and tighter.

“You finally came back!” You giggle out, and Damian’s heart pounds faster. You feel his fingers run down your hair.

“I always do” he murmurs down your neck, making you giggle once more “I missed you, beloved”

I thought long and hard (and overthinking) trying to tie teen titans 03 to the batfam stuff in my AU. I really wanted to connect the other robins, Dick turning into nightwing, and the relationship with Bruce into this. so below are a combo of rough sketches and written out ideas mixed together bc i couldn't finish this without ripping my hair out. Originally I had it come right after season 5 ending with the weird alien thing (which is what bb and rae are referencing to) but..... anyways:

just FYI on changes already: Robin's look is more dan mora/og costume. I love Dick in the yellow cape (and i always associate the black cape to Tim so hehe) Like i said the alien WAS gonna be the main bad guy since this comic will also about things changing. but i got too overwhelmed reading up on what the alien was and it was a dimensional being and yadda yadda so it was bare bones and barely even brought up as i lost interest in drawing things out. this is where i didnt feel like drawing a transition to tt packing/traveling to gotham.,.. so it jumps to the meeting:

yess bb jason!! In my AU, this is when dick and jason meet. Dick claims batman hasnt changed, but yet Dick keeps tabs on gotham to know about jason just as much as bruce is aware of the teen titans (and even tho Dick says "oh look, a replacement. the batman cant go without a robin". he knows that isn't really the case. he's just still hurting from their fall out. and NO he does not feel jealous or anything like that towards Jason.) I will say that's where the main drawings stopped. but the story continues! But mostly text bc drawing it out became tiring. So: they work together in an upcoming fight. Batman (and teen titans) call out to "robin" so there's funny miscommunication as which robin responds to what. Jason proves himself to Dick that he can be a robin. Bruce is his usual skeptical self and it drives Dick up a wall. Bruce eventually calls Dick out for being the same way though (altho this is more of egging on to push Dick to make some more changes. since bruce never wanted dick to be like him).

Dick: You don't know my teammates. Don't act like you do. Bruce: You're right. I don't know them. Nor do I trust them with my son. Dick: Why can't you trust MY judgement. Bruce goes back to working, ignoring the statement. And Dick comes to a realization to how Bruce shuts him out (like what he did to starfire earlier). This leads Dick to reveal his identity to his team because he DOES in fact trust them 100%. There's some closure from that and this would kinda be a turning point in terms of his angst/edgy phase as a robin. As he officially passes the mantle to Jason and where he becomes Nightwing.

Ghost King Danny, has been for a while. (Personally I’m picturing this as something like Blister Pack’s giant Danny but that’s just me.) Ellie still has the wander bug, but as she lives in the Realms with her dad now has access to multidimensional wandering. She happens across some new universe full of superheroes and is intrigued.

Ellie goes to her Dad and is all “Yo, I found this universe, I think I’m going to hang out there for a while.” (For these guys, though “a while” could mean anything from a couple years to decades.) Danny gives her his blessing to use their shared name and sigil in her superhero costume if she wants, and does an eldritch entity’s equivalent of making sure his kid has a couple of quarters in her pocket to use a payphone to call home.

Ellie, known to most in this new universe by the name Phantom, ends up spending some time hanging out with the Teen Titans. She and Raven somehow end up bonding over the fact that both of them are children of mind-bogglingly powerful quasi-eldritch entities that rule over alternate dimensions. They talk about what its like to only have a small piece of that power and the knowledge that they will never ever be as powerful, or about how it’s kinda strange but nice being somewhere where people see them as extremely magically powerful because they are not being compared to the power of their respective fathers. They never get into much detail, but they each feel like they understand each other a little bit better than the other heroes they work with.

It isn’t until several months later they discover that their situations are not the same.

HI- *coughs* well, they aren’t exactly headcanons, just ideas I have that I wanna chat about.

I’m on a big Omega!Bruce kick so here they are. (these can or can’t be connected but I do love the idea of them being connected)

1. Brucie Wayne is a known Omega, one that flits from date to date. The thing is, Batman is known as an omega too. This time he’s the embodiment of an Omegan Mom protecting their nest Territory from all threats. Like Omegas used to do in the Olden Times™️, feral behavior and scenting is common >:3

2. A/B/O Dynamics don’t actually exist outside Gotham. Sure, some Gothamites have moved out so A/B/O is known, but isn’t seen outside Gothamites.

So when Dick Grayson came to Gotham he was very confused and didn’t really understand what was going on.

When Bruce eventually scoops him up and brings him home, Dick is even more confused. Atleast in Juvie the A/B/O behaviors were stifled except for posturing, but now outside of Juvie? In the home of an Omega? He’s gonna get the full brunt of Bruce both fussing over him and trying his best to not cross the line of Bruce being his Pack Guardian and not Pack Omega. (Either way, for Dick it’s very much smothering)

It doesn’t click for Bruce or Alfred until Bruce comes sulking to Alfred about his pup being broken and not even accepting being scented! Doesn’t Dick want to feel safe??? No one’s going to touch Dick if he’s smothered in Wayne Scent!!! (Maybe eventually Dick gets startled when he starts to instinctively responding as a pup would/is able to smell scents/feel pack bonds)

3. When Jason gets tossed into the Lazarus pit, it actually repairs his pack bonds. Sure, it’s not perfect, Jason can’t actually reach out through the bonds to respond- but he can feel his Pack’s love, not to mention their desperation to get him back as soon as they realize Jay’s bonds are back. (Talia, meanwhile, is still trying to convince Jay that Bruce doesn’t love him and how he replaced him, but that doesn’t quite work as Jason can feel his Pack’s love- not to mention the absolute adoration coming from the newest, weakest, and youngest link in the pack)

4. And finally four- One of the Robins vanish from the Teen Titans for quite a bit- and when they come back, they’re questioned on where they went. Robin sighs and just says Batman was being broody again, and the Teen Titans just think that Batman was brooding.

In actuality, the Robin had to deal with Bruce being broody in the chicken sense. AKA, “You Are My Child And I Will Keep You In My Nest And Focus Entirely On You And Your Well-being. ..What do you mean taking care of myself? I have to take care of my PUP!”

I absolutely adore all of this. Love the idea of it being a Gotham thing because Gotham is just Like That. Like there's so many curses and magic and who knows how many chemicals that they're like, still human but also just built different.

Gosh, if heats are a thing I like to think they're more platonic. Just, fussing over pack members and being the Broodiest Thing Ever with every family member and will get Upset if one tries to leave the Nest where they are Safe and can be Taken Care Of.

Pfft, the poor Justice League are not prepared for Batman to get broody on a mission and force them all to take care of themselves with no context. They're not his pack, but well, they have fought together and they're sort-of friends, depending on the timeline.

Poor Damian is going to get smothered, Bruce is going to get Very broody the moment Jason returns, and with Another Pup. Tim & Dick get yoinked back from the Titans Tower to be smothered and snuggled and absolutely covered in the family's scent.

Absolutely love the idea of them learning how to be a pup and pack together and am vibrating in utter glee at all of this.

thinking about. vampire bruce. adopting werewolf dick grayson. and his little brother / fellow werewolf jason todd.

dick’s pack were his parents and the circus troupe. despite haly’s best efforts, after the elder graysons die, dick is taken by child services instead of staying with his pack

werewolves and vampires are known, but discriminated against in most places. gotham is, ironically, a safe haven for Creatures, largely because of the vampiric Prince of Gotham- Bruce Wayne. they also aren’t super common, making up about 30% of the world’s population in total

child services dumps dick (9) in an orphanage in gotham, which he promptly runs away from. on the streets he meets jason (7) and they stick together from then on, becoming each other’s pack (jason’s an orphan too)

dick (14) is helping jason (12) take the hubcaps off the batmobile when they are caught, and they book it until batman successfully corners them. he ends up bringing them to Ma Gunn’s School for Boys

soon after, they figure out Ma Gunn is running a crime ring using the students. they contact batman (after getting as many kids as they can out, of course) and bruce pretty much offers to take them in

they’re cautious about it, but know it’s a pretty good deal, so they agree. bruce brings them to the batcave and then up into the manor, revealing his identity right away so there’s no misunderstandings. they meet alfred (who immediately loves them) and spend the night exploring the house before falling asleep in one of the many spare bedrooms

after that they each get their own room in the manor, but both choose a room near each other and bruce. they sleep in bruce’s bed most nights, anyway (touch and scent are important things for werewolves, bruce learns).

eventually the two start heckling bruce about training them, which he eventually gives in to (puppy eyes are extra effective when it’s from a werewolf). dick chooses the name Robin and jason decides he might as well go along with it so it becomes Batman and his Robins

dick tells bruce and jason about tony zucco and all of that happens pretty much the same but with jason there as emotional support and also Werewolf Stuff (dick leaves a claw mark on zucco as a permanent reminder)

dick joins the teen titans at 16 but still lives in the manor. at this point he has become Nightwing and gives the Robin title fully to jason

when dick is 17 he goes on an off-world mission, giving jason a bear hug before he leaves (it’ll be the longest they’ve been apart since they met 8ish years ago) iykyk what’s abt to happen

during that time, jason is kidnapped by the Joker when he goes on patrol (without telling bruce). joker sets a trap for batman, of course, and beats jason with a silver crowbar coated in wolfsbane (shush let me combine lore)

bruce gets to the door of the warehouse right before it explodes, so him and jason are both caught in the blast- jason more so of course

jason dies. bruce brings his body back to the cave and puts it a cryofreeze chamber, waiting for dick to get back before they bury him and have a funeral

bruce calls dick the next day and tells him. he sends clark to bring dick back and another hero to replace him so the mission can continue

right as dick gets back, however, superboy-prime messes with the universe and jason un-dies, much to the batfam’s surprise and happiness

he still needs to recover from some injuries, but his werewolf healing is almost working properly again so it doesn’t take more than a week or two

dick kills the joker. bruce doesn’t stop him.

Layer 2 to Damian x Mabel "both sides are getting absolutely insane shovel talks:"

They're gonna have to endure this shit multiple times because each of them have groups of independently dangerous people that care about their strange child, but don't really hang out with the kids' other friends.

So while Mabel is getting kidnapped by all the bats (probably split into at least 3 different groups), the league of assassins, Damian's Teen Titans gen, probably some people from Tim's Titans gen that were really fond of him, multiple members of the rogues gallery, etc.

Damian gets hunted down and somehow meaningfully threated by the Pines men, Soos and Wendy, Candy and Grenda, the gnomes, Gideon, Pacifica, anyone she's ever made a sweater for, and assorted other Gravity Falls creatures that are fond of her.

By shovel talk number 3, Mabel is knitting matching "I've already been threatened by my BF/GF's scary friends and family" sweaters, and Damian is training her on how to effectively escape kidnapping on her own and putting EVEN MORE trackers in all her clothes. Dipper's string theory board has been deliciously updated and he now believes he is fighting warring vampire covens with possibly a werewolf pack and an alien invasion thrown in (he is going to be both very overprepared and remarkably dangerous once he can finally manage a solid confrontation). All the comics characters are trying to corner the JLD for an explanation on what the fuck happened in Gravity Falls, but all of them are suspiciously unreachable. Stan and Ford just start carrying guns again and shooting at Damian's threatening friends and family like hillbillies shoot at possums.

Seeking Warmth ❤️‍🔥

After a long night of snow training, Marco gets very cold and needs to warm up. Jean sneaks him out to the main room and builds a fireplace for both of them to keep warm.

“Brrr, it’s freezing out here.”

The young freckled boy struggling to carry his supplies on his back thinks aloud to himself. This has to be the coldest day of the 104th snow training yet.

But he isn’t the only one who’s having a hard time coping with the cold, everyone else in front and behind too. In fact, some have to be dragged along in the snow by rope after falling unconscious, which will make the journey back to camp go a bit longer. The young teens are very tired, and very hungry, especially the ponytail girl with her stomach growling like a beast.

Fortunately, they all managed to return to their cabins much sooner than they figured. The instructors informed them all the have a well-deserved rest while they unlock the cabin doors. Seven of the exhausted teens huddle together for desperate warmth, and to think back on their trip.

The icy winds howls louder over their conversations, while snowflakes flurry from the sky and onto their already cold cheeks. It’s certainly not a pleasant experience for young teens such as them to trample through, but for upcoming material for soldiers, they have little no choice - for what they’re training for will be undoubtedly worse.

“About time, I can barely feel my legs.” The light brown-haired Jean complains on the snowy ground.

“None of us can, dude.” The bald kid Connie quips back at him. “Well, maybe Mikasa is still feeling like herself.”

Glancing over at the concerned Mikasa checking on both Eren and Armin’s health, even if Eren tells her not to, is the clearest sign. Yup, aside from her, these guys and girls are not themselves tonight. All they want is a good meal and to warm up.

“I just want something to eeeaat.” Sasha whines as her stomach growls even louder.

“Just hang in there, Sasha…. it will only be another minute.”

Jean looks up after hearing that weird pause from Marco. The boy’s been breathing into his gloves, rubbing them together to attempt to keep his face warm. Now this wouldn’t be bad or unusual since a lot of them are currently doing this, but what is putting Jean off is the ashamed look in his eyes and frown. Sure it’s hard to feel anything positive while freezing but it still doesn’t feel like Marco at all to him.

Not until Jean begins to stand up, quite shakily, is when the bell rings for the chilly cadets to come inside the cabins for the night. Everyone sighs in relief and head on in, in groups or one by one, which Marco does so Jean doesn’t get his chance to question his friend straight away.

The last meals of the day were served, the bell rang once again to acknowledge bedtime for all cadets, and so they all obeyed nicely and checked out for the night. Boys and girls sleep in separate rooms from each other but not enough for them all to sleep separately - this of course leads to having roommates like back in the main training grounds.

All should be sleeping soundly, however, this year’s winter is undoubtedly the harshest one on record. For the past few days, heavy snow and wind have been blustering non-stop, with howls like a wolf pack, and the strength of titans trying to bury them in the snowstorm. The wood the cabins are made of may be strong enough to stay on, ground but not enough to keep the bitter cold out.

Poor, tired teens are left to shiver under mid-thin sheets every night. It got so bad that the instructors had to travel back down mountain for extra warmth like firewood and blankets, which is very helpful but also very limited. Many of the cadets had to take turns using both and sadly, led to the instructors having to take control of choosing after endless arguing.

This night, no where near as calm as previous nights, had to be the final straw for the restless Jean Kirstein.

Just barely audible under the gusting wind, are the sounds of chattering and whimpering on the bed next to him. Jean tosses over to his side to hear them closer, and to see how badly his roomie is taking it - which is very badly.

He’s never seen Marco in this state before; from the redness on his nose and cheeks, to the saddening frown shaking away. His whole body is shaking under the sheets too, and it really puts a sour taste in Jean’s stomach more so than the cheap supper he had. But just when Jean can even think about daring whoever has the thicker blankets tonight and take ‘em back here, he thought of an even better plan.

Slowly creeping out of bed, he tip-toes along the creaky floor as to not disturb Marco any further. The cold air surrounding him is no different from how it felt under his sheets, but it doesn’t stop his arms from shivering. One shivering arm reaches for Marco’s shoulder and as he gently places his hand, could lightly shake it but the freckled boy already senses Jean’s presence.

“Jean…” He whispers.

The boy jumps in slight surprise. “M-Marco… are you awake?”

Marco nods while opening those tired brown eyes of his, he roughly looks like he’s about to cry. “Can’t sleep.”

This is definitely more serious than Jean thought, or he likes to take it that way, to make his planned actions more justifiable. He reaches down a hand for Marco to hold and the boy accepts immediately. It feels closer to an icicle which upsets Jean more. Before Marco can say anything, Jean practically and slowly pulls Marco up from the mattress until he’s sitting up.

“Come on.” Jean informs quietly. “I have an idea.”

“W-What? Jean, we’re not suppose to go out of our rooms this late-”

“Look. Do you want to freeze to death or not?”

A pause occurs, Marco looks sad again, and Jean feels inner regret for that small burst out. It doesn’t take long fortunately for Marco to visually respond with standing up and keeping his grip on his friend’s hand. Jean understands this gesture so the two now quietly step across the wooden floors, Marco staying close as possible, and soon they are outside in the eerie hallway - nothing but the wind howling outside.

Everyone in the cabin, including the instructors themselves, have all hit the hay for the night, but Jean and his freckled companion are still hesitant to enter the main room at first. The former takes the lead with reaching for the handle to open the door, slowly creaking it open, only to see nothing but empty furniture inside. With permission, Marco walks slowly to sit down on the floor while Jean searches for the firewood.

“I found some over here.” He says, picking up about four or five logs and throws them in the fireplace (quietly of course).

“I’ll lend you a hand.” Marco replies.

It’s a good thing these were taught a lot about building a fire from their hiking training in the forest; after rubbing some sticks together they manage somehow to start up the fire. It begins small, but it feels much nicer than the plain cold room they’re stuck in. A few more minutes pass and the fire gets bigger and brighter enough to fit the fireplace. It glows of orange, shines with brightness and of course, spreads the warmth throughout the room.

Marco feels almost better already, so does Jean, as they shift to get a little closer. They rub their hands together and sigh in relief, it feels like forever since they experience proper heating like this. The smile on Marco’s face catches Jean’s eye, forming a small yet comforting smile of his own.

“Ain’t this much better, huh?” He states while the smile forms into a smirk.

Marco only nods. The smirk on his friend fades away.

“You know…” Jean cannot take holding back the beans any longer. “I couldn’t stand seeing you freezing like that, it’s news to me to see how vulnerable you can be. So I had to do this.”

“I… wouldn’t say I’m vulnerable.” The freckled boy returns with his piece. “I’m just not use to the cold such as this.”

“But you’re from Jinae, I heard that it gets very cold with it being like a small farmland of sorts - at least that’s what I heard.”

“Y-Yeah. But usually in the winter, my little sister and I would huddle by a fire like this with my mother’s quilt. Sometimes we’d stay there the whole night.”

The happy chuckles from reminiscing along with the fire’s glow shining on his freckled cheeks is a sight to behold - it makes Jean blush a little.

“My mother is really good at sewing. She eventually made quilts for both of us for the winter.”

That surely brings flashbacks to Jean too. The light brown-haired boy glances back at the fire and remembers various winters with a similar scenario with his parents, all pleasant and inviting. Jean mutters with a smile.

“My mom is like that too…”

“Hmm? You said something?”

Jean snaps back and looks away. “Nothing!”

Quiet is shared between the boys now, a flustered Jean won’t turn back to face his friend, just leaving Marco to find comfort with the fireplace. Although it’s nice, there’s something pinning in his chest. A little birdie is telling him to not leave things as they are, after all, Jean did this for him so he should give back in return.

He gulps a little as his hand shifts towards Jean’s. “Hey, uh… Jean?”

Jean doesn’t verbally respond but slowly looks back.

“Would you mind if you sit a little closer?” The blush can’t be notice as it blends in with the glow of the fire.

Jean thinks for a split second, yet he does so anyway. “Sure.”

The two of them are just close enough for their shoulders to touch, and Jean unintentionally puts his hand on top of Marco’s. Even though he quickly notices, he can’t find himself to pull it away, only to stare down in embarrassment. He worries for what Marco will think but quicker than a snowflake in the storm, the freckled boy rests his head on Jean’s shoulder. This catches him off guard and his eyes widen with surprise. Next thing he knows is the Marco closes his eyes peacefully too.

“Hey, wh-what-” hesitant to say something that can come out rude, he zips his mouth for a bit to think first.

The more he stares at Marco, the more relax he feels. To have his close friend like this, even more physically closer, and to feel his warmed-up hand intertwined their fingers together gently is all that he needs to tell him to not move. Jean begins to lean his head down too, on top of Marco’s head, his eyes slowly droop while still on Marco’s smile. Before he can drift away, he mentions some things:

“What will the others say?”

“Mmm… it’ll be alright, Jean. They’ll understand.”

“Can we at least… get the blanket?”

“No thanks… this is enough.”

No more words are shared, just the soft sounds of breathing. Not even the gusts of the heavy snow outside was enough to keep them from snoozing. There they stayed, throughout the rest of the frosty night, cuddled and embraced into each other’s warmth.

They feel at home.

Rachel's look on life had been jaded even before her mother's death from cancer, an which caused her to create the band as a way of finally releasing her emotions and hurt in a creative manner. It was only after her bandmates showed Kori that she was being mistreated, did she finally begin to stand up for herself. Now she feels that she's finally gained true sisters.

Karen Beecher (Bumblebee)

Instruments: Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals

About: The mom of the group, Karen works alongside Kori to be the peacekeeper. She makes sure everybody's packed and ready to go for concerts. Karen's certainly busy as a bee, which just so happens to be her favorite animal. She's also a proud nerd, hoping to work in tech if the band somehow fails to work out.

Tara Markov (Terra)

Born: February 21, 1986

Instruments: Bass

About: Tara is a girl who is not afraid to get her hands dirty or speak her mind. This came from being bullied in childhood as a poverty-ridden kid needing to fight for everything she had. She chose to play bass as she felt it fit her "no-theatrics" attitude. Tara also is the most likely to argue either for herself or for other members of the band if she feels anyone is being disrespected.

Alina Hao (Jinx)

Born: August 8, 1986

Favorite Acts: Hex Girls (She won't apologize), Queen, Shonen Knife, Misfits, Stevie Nicks

Instruments: Keyboards, Backing Vocals

About: Alina is as wry, passionate and mischievous as they come. When Rachel was creating her on-stage persona, she mostly drew inspiration from Alina's theatricality. Funnily enough, Alina and Rachel had been rivals in elementary school, due to frequent bouts for spots in school plays. It was only after puberty and tragedy in Rachel's life did the two realize how silly their rivalry truly was, and Alina was invited into the friend group. Now she feels it's her job to back up her friends, and occasionally drive them nuts with pranks.

Rose Wilson (Ravager)

Born: February 21, 1986

Favorite Acts: Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Alanis Morissette, Guns 'n Roses, Rage Against the Machine, Le Tigre

About: If you want to keep Rose happy, don't tell her what to do without a good reason. She has problems with authority due to issues with her parents and being seen as a disappointment by most of her teachers. Having two younger brothers (with an older brother, Grant, who's serving in the Army) to protect from their mom and dad means she looks out for other kids going through a hard time. It's also caused her to become jaded, using snarkiness as a way to cope with the feelings of hurt and anger that have built up inside her. While she sees all her bandmates as sisters, she particularly bonds with Tara as a fellow victim of parental abuse, even if they bicker a lot.

Heavy Reading and a light snack

I just stood there with the fridge door open and the carton of soy milk in my hand and my body just stopped. Have you ever seen something that was so out of place, so outrageous that it demanded your attention? I once saw Batman eating a hamburger with a knife and fork. I mean who does that?   When I first saw her I thought that she broke into the tower. Yea Beast Boy, some cute girl snuck into the home of the Teen Titans in the dead of night to drink tea and study. I guess it was just the shock of it all it took me at least 30 seconds of staring with my mouth hanging open to put it all together, it was Raven.   Yea, I know I have lived with this woman for years, how did I not know it was her? Well, I have barely seen Raven in almost three months.  After we sent Trigon's red demon butt packing, (Okay Raven did the heavy lifting) Raven decided to go to college.  She had her whole life now in front of her and no idea what to do with it. So unless it was something really bad, as in, the end of life and waffles as we know it bad, we left Raven to study and go to class. I would only catch glimpses of her at times or hear her in the middle of the night.  She didn’t so much live in the tower but haunt it.    I had never seen Raven like this. Her hair had grown a bit longer and it hung just below her chin as she leaned over the book she was reading. A few strands had gone astray. She was wearing dark blue and black plaid flannel PJs. I mean I knew Raven must have had something else in her closet besides cloaks but this was all so…normal.  Looking at her she wasn't the dark and mysterious sorcerous, she wasn't the powerful half-demon hero. She was just a girl, in her bare feet, wearing pjs, and reading a book as thick as a mattress.   "You're starting to distract me Beast Boy, and the food is going to spoil if you don’t close the refrigerator." She said never looking up.    I nearly jumped out of my skin. I closed the fridge door forgetting about the soy milk still in my hand.  I opened it back up again to put it away. "Um, do you want anything in here?"  I said, sounding like a dope.    "No," she said lifting a tea cup to her mouth and sighing in frustration finding that It was empty.  "Dammit"   "Why is the Tea always gone!" I said to her in my best Jack Sparrow.  She finally looked up at me, her eyes were a bit red and I could tell she had been up long past her bedtime, by days.  Her mouth opened slightly but she must have been too tired because there was no biting remark no sarcasm just a blank stare and a shake of her head.    Raven started to stand up, she groaned and she stretched out her back.  I closed the fridge door and before she could leave the table grabbed her kettle and was filling it. I had it on the stove a moment later.     "Beast Boy, I can do that myself."   "I know you can,  but you look like you have a lot to do. "  I told her. I watched her let her weight drop into her chair and bury her nose back into her book. I reached into the cupboard for her tea and my eyes fell on the jar of peanut butter.  "When was the last time you ate?"  She didn’t answer.  I wasn't sure if she didn’t hear me, or if she didn’t remember.  So I decided to fix that.

🌺Mini Beach Stories Ep 2 🌺

Characters: Male Starfire (Blazefire) x black reader ( white cat)

Author's Note: The timeline is set around the beginning of Teen Titans, where Starfire meets the Titans, bare with yah gurl 😉

Synopsis: You, the adopted sister of Dick and the daughter of Batman and Cat women go on a mission with the Teen Titans and meet a 6’8” tall Tamaranean man with fire-like hair who speaks unusual English.

"This couldn’t get any worse," you thought behind your white mask, fiddling with your sharp daggers and tuning out your teammates' voices in the car. You were just trying to enjoy the city's scenery before you did your job.

“Speed it up will yuh,” Kidflash says with annoyance as his arms are crossed “You drive like my granny.

“We're moving with the flow of traffic” Dick known as Robin said with a bit to his tone all while Bumblebee and beast boy were listening to the conversation.

“ When do I get to drive,” Red arrows says feeling salty that Robin got to drive AGAIN

“ what a bunch of idiots,” you say to Bumblebee as your short hair blows in the wind, getting a giggle in return and a slap on the shoulder from her

“ My car….so never” Robin retorts shutting down the conversation until Beast Boy pipes up typing on his phone.

“ Ouu oh I’m gonna sign up for this thing tweeter, you put out what you’re thinking…like I love pizza or I’m having pizza now or even Pizza is awesome” he finished while Bumblebee looked at him with a conflicted look until she spoke and you listened

“ All of your thoughts don’t have to be pizza-related,” Bumblebee says with sass both you and her looking at a beast boy as if he grew two heads.

“ says who” Beast Boy says with his own sass as his eyes squinted with rising anger

"Hey, I can order a pizza," Kid Flash said, looking at Beast Boy and the girls, but then looked away. "Well, we're puttering along here," his voice tinged with sarcasm.

“ ooh great idea, gonna have pizza soon’’ beast Boy types on his phone “First tweet spent” A ding appears on his phone as he presses spend

“ what the heck is that,” Red Arrow says capturing the team's attention, and looks up to see a figure fighting off winged creatures.

“ Flash go find out,” you say ordering the speedster before Robin can speak squinting your eyes at the figure ‘ who is that you thought?

“ On it” Hopping out of the car kid flash speeds fast passing the cars in front disappearing and coming back to talk to you

“Report” you demanded to Kidflash “ You need to see for yourself white cat, I’m not sure” he said still running beside the car before speeding ahead as Robin followed him.

As you and the team hopped out of the car, you noticed Kid Flash standing anxiously at the edge of the building. In the distance, a flying figure caught your attention.

The character was a striking male with flowing red hair, sun-kissed orange skin, and intense emerald green eyes. He was dressed in a vibrant purple suit that revealed a glimpse of his chest and abdominal muscles, similar to a crop top.

He was desperately attempting to escape from a group of winged creatures who were relentlessly pursuing him.

Looking up you could see how out-worldly handsome he was.

As you and your teammates were looking up at the action pack scene that was happening in front of you, Red Arrow spoke up grabbing the team's attention.

“ Big week for us, first we stop the fearsome five” looking a Beast Boy “ hey were so pissed you’ll pay for interfering with us blah blah blah” beast boy laughs as if he jokes around.

“ and now we get to stop an alien brawl” Red Arrow spoke as the red-haired male was trying to lose the creatures that were chasing him.

Dodging the creatures with a nimble backflip as they swung their swords through the air, he couldn't evade the next strike that sent him hurtling toward the ground at an alarming rate.

“ Which side do we join?” Red Arrow hissed at the male plummed the ground you look at him with a really look

“ Really,” Bumblebee says with furrowed brows “Looks can be deceiving” he retorts

The injured red-haired male lay on the floor, his body wracked with pain. He was surrounded by winged creatures, each of them brandishing their weapons menacingly. Grunting at the pain he looks up only to be met with a weapon to the face knocking him down once more.

You gasped wanting to help the stranger.

The winged creatures swiftly swooped down, seizing the stranger by his arm and hoisting him up before dragging him along by his knees.

Your face void of any emotion you spoke up “ Titans Go!” your teammates flipping over the edge following your command

Kidflashed swiftly pivoted and extended his hands, generating powerful tornadoes with his incredible speed to fend off the winged creatures.

“ Buzz of lizard lips” As Bumblebee bravely launched herself into action, she unleashed her stingers, aiming for the menacing faces of the creatures. Meanwhile, the ground shook with the powerful, thunderous steps of Beast Boy, who had transformed into a massive rhino. With incredible force, he charged at the creatures, ramming them out of the way with unyielding determination.

“ Coming through”

As Red Arrow zipped through the wire, he landed on top of an apartment building. With precision, he aimed his bow and arrow at the creatures, taking careful aim before releasing the projectile. One of his arrows was filled with a powerful gas, which he expertly shot at the enemy.

You dashed through the billowing smoke, using it as cover to conceal your presence. As you moved, you deftly kicked the winged creatures in the face, warding them off to clear your path. Determined to fend off the attackers, you skillfully swipe your catnail-shaped daggers at them, all the while executing acrobatic cat-like flips to dodge their incoming weapons.

“ watch out this cat bites” you smirked punching one creature in the throat and the other in the face as they released the red-haired male from their hearing.

A gasp as the male looked at you with a thankful look

“Language” he spoke “ Alien language,” he said as you tried to understand him looking at what he was looking at

“ I think Rapunzel is trying to tell us something,” Beast Boy says as Kidflash meets up, as all you look up to see a purple portal in the sky.

You press the intercom in your ear “ Speedy you got something loud that can close that thing”

“ Got you covered Boss” Red Arrow digs into his bag and pulls out a glowing bomb pointing it to the strange purple portal letting the arrow fly towards it hitting it only to make it worse

Causing everything to suck up into the portal, cars, buses, and even the winged creatures that were attacking them.

Struggle to fly down bumblebee tries her hardest to meet the ground feeling the air pulling her upwards until Kidflash catches her bringing her to safety. Beast Boy transforms into a variety of heavy animals a gorilla, a rhino then an elephant that is successfully able to keep himself grounded.

Feeling the pull you grabbed hands on the figure bringing your dagger down to stabb the ground praying that it will keep you and the make grounded. Not noticing one of the wings creatures grabbing onto the male's legs.

Feeling the strain of your arms you look to see the air snatching the male and the winged creatures along pulling them into the vacuum-like portal. Hearing the screams of the male

You pull your dagger that was from the ground to save the red-haired male throwing one of your small knives at the winged creature that was previously pulling on the male's leg.

Grabbing him with your white gloves, the vacuum-like portal finally stopped causing an explosion to happen, feeling the effects of gravity pulling you and the male holding on to you at a threatening speed.

You land harshly on the concrete first grunting as you both slide, feeling the burn on your upper back and lower butt.

“definitely gonna need an ice bath tonight” you grumbled feeling the pain but was more worried about the male ontop of you. Looking down to see a huge cloud of bright red hair in your face. Picking up his head the male looks at you cradling his hand behind your neck.

He spoke his native language with a soft deep tone, holding eye contact with you as he smashed his lips against yours muffling your shocked noise, hair covering your expression from your teammate's eyes.

“ I did not see that coming,” Red Arrow says with a sly smirk while Bumblebee looks with a hint disguised at the display Beast Boy taking a photo at the two of you, and Robin not too pleased to see his little sister's body dwarfed by the tall man that was kissing her.

Releasing the kiss with a wet smack

“ Thank you, I’m Koriand'r from planet Tamaran, our kind can learn language from the act of kissing” he spoke, voice rumbling with a shy smile and a Face feeling hot from the act

You feeling dazed from the act giddy smile not noticing your brother's red face and was that…smoke coming out from his ears

“ Useful” you spoke breathily giving him one of your smiles.

6, 22, and 27!

So I'm going to answer all of these from my collection.

6. The comic you were most excited to find:

Sappily, it was discovering that Young Justice 1998 had finally been properly collected in trade. So I have to say Young Justice Book 1, because I could finally own these goobers for myself on paper.

Runner up is probably Teen Titans Spotlight: Wonder Girl, because not only was I amazed it got collected, but that it was incredibly affordable for me to buy. It was either going to be in the 'goes for 50c' category or "$100USD plus as a minimum" category of impossible, and I was delighted that it was in the former.

22. A comic you still haven't got around to reading:

I am pretty good at reading most of my collection as I don't tend to buy comics unless I know I'll like and read them, but I have to say Power Pack Classic Vol 3 remains unread, partly because I'm still trying to get my hands on Vol 2 AND because reading the intervening comics on a strictly legal site is lower priority for me than a lot of my other reading. Glad I own it though, either way.

27: A comic with terrible art and great writing:

Ooooh. What do I own that has eyeblinding art. It's...hmm probably some of the art on the early Blue Beetle 2006 run (sorry Cully Hammer, but every time I think of that panel where you try to draw Dinah my brain curls up into a corner and starts whimpering), so let's say Blue Beetle Vol 1: Shellshocked, because the writing is fantastic.

Edit: on being able to check my trades, it’s actually Blue Beetle: Road Trip that has the awful Dinah art, so substituting it.

Alternatively, I think I have to nominate my Knightfall Vol 3: Knightsend trade. Sorry. Some of it is pretty dire.

Teen Titans DR: A reformed villain who struggles with accepting her past and herself. She's basically the unpaid therapist for her found family group of mentally ill teenage superheros.

Although there are some ups-and-downs (and romantic interests👀), she fits in quite nicely with the simplistic country atmosphere.
