Prompt 283
Now Jason would like it known that there was no mpreg situation going on. He isn’t even sure where people got that idea in the first place. Sure, he had taken a few Cores from the goons-in-white who had dared to set up in his turf.
And sure maybe the excess energy from the pit (no wonder he’d been so irritable) was what said baby halfas (Okay, so they’re half human? Alright) had used to reform. And maybe the oldest is visibly less than a year old.
But there Was No Mpreg Situation! He is this close to shooting someone! It was annoying (and slightly amusing) when it was just his goons, but now the Bats have seemingly got it in their heads! Dear Gotham it’s a good thing he’s not planning on like, ever revealing who he is because he would never be able to live this rumor down.
[Winged Ghosts Au too, that seems to be getting lost in reblogs when it's just in the tags lol]

Simon who's an attention whore. You cooking? So he's clinging on to your neck, grabbing away that spatula and kissing you giddy. You on work ? So he's leaning against the wall, brooding and whining and mewing. You out with your friends? He's sending that Little scratch he got, captioned with, “need kissies now”, he lowkey wants your fuckin' attention all the damn time and he's so shameless about it.

Ghost, put back in the coffin years later and losing what sanity he has left.
He unburies himself for the second time ofc, but this time he comes out inherently wrong.
Soap will try to get him to talk to him, to quip and make puns and dad jokes like before "the incident" as they've taken to calling it, and only gets blank stares that don't quite meet his gaze or drift just too far to one side to not be focusing on something that's moving when nothing is behind Soap but a wall.
Price, who tries to get Simon to therapy and gets reports of him ghosting (ha) his team of mental health professionals. Who will get responses from Simon, things a good soldier would say, and then hear frantic muttering as Simon's attention runs away to the corner of the room.
Gaz, who's the first to be sent on a mission with him, Simon's first since the incident because he needs to be kept in rotation because he's only a tool, because Soap is already deployed elsewhere. Who sees as Simon absolutely LOSES IT at the sound of gunshots and tears people apart with a ferociousness he didn't think humans could attain, only to be met with frantic whispers and wide eyes and shaking hands once it's all done. Hearing apologies to a Joseph and Tommy and Beth because Simon somehow got it into his head that it's THEIR blood on his hands, as he tries to claw it off and needs to be sedated to be brought back to base.
The 141, who all get a retirement house together after a couple of last missions simply so they can help Simon recover. So they can protect him when he's at his worst and celebrate with him at his best. The 141 who give up their lives in the military not because they don't care about their country or job anymore, but because their friend and brother and lover needs help, he needs them, and he needs to be reminded he's alive.

piercer!reader who has simon sat in their seat. he's just came home from deployment, lasting months and leaving him sore and exhausted. he's deprived of the sensation of a wet pussy coating his large cock in creamy wetness, unable to control the way his big dick leaks in your grasp.
he's embarrassed when he comes all over your hand accidentally, his body tense and stiff as you giggle, small kitten licks to his wet, sticky tip. 💉

This is so suburban-dad-Mihawk-core.
He gets tired of Zoro’s and Perona’s bickering and in a futile search for solace he puts this baby on, goes out to sea, cracks open a cold one, and casts that fishing line

My high school did a yearly poetry recitation contest (Poetry Out Loud), so Oh Boy do I know some poems. My favorites are Ozymandias and "the world is about to end and my grandparents are in love," by Kara Jackson. Also in 8th grade we had a Poe unit and had a class contest to make the best music video of the Raven, so I still know a good chunk of that.
i hadn't heard of the kara jackson one! just read through it and enjoyed it, particularly these lines > 'grandma returns to her love like a hymn, marks it with a color. // when the world ends will it suck the earth of all its love? /will i go taking somebody’s hand, / my skin becoming their skin?'

Wait for the latest update on the vestige au post.... bakugou might actually believe if izuku said he just had this quirk already and nobody the doctors misdiagnosed him up til now. At first he wouldnt notice at all then when it finally became relevant in class and he told everyone they would all say oh. thats why you mutter so much. perfect cover
Bakugo: how did you get in?? You're quirkless!!?
Izuku: actually it was a misdiagnosis because it's a very subtle quirk and-
Bakugo: what
Izuku: um ok it sounds crazy but. I'm haunted. There are ghosts that give me advice.
Bakugo: ... You finally cracked huh.
Izuku: no! They're real! All Might knew one of them when she was alive and he confirmed it for me because I thought I was hallucinating.
Bakugo: ... You finally cracked and All Might's too nice and going along with it. Still have no clue how you got in, but, whatever. You'll probably get expelled when Aizawa-sensei realizes. You better not get yourself hurt or killed before then.
(Izuku was then filled with a burning need to beat Bakugou because that's more feasible than setting a thousand spiders on him, which will I'm sure make the battle trial very interesting. But once he proves himself and the muttering continues for the confirmed vestiges, then the desire to curb stomp the other can be mutual ig)
But yeah a good cover! Aoyama wouldn't even question it since it's not like AfO wants to know about a weird haunting quirk, doesn't sound like something he'd really find appealing and Aoyama isn't going to sell out any more of his classmates than he has to

Headcanon based on nothing but I have because I think it’d be really funny is 4077 members absorbing Potter’s curses into their vocabulary and continuing to use them post-canon without even realizing it

When it comes to romance in videogames it's not that I like it any more or less than other mechanics, it's that I feel the need to be a counterweight to long-term gamers who see no value in the mechanic, especially in RPGs.
Obsidian games, for example, are extremely well written. The characters, worldbuilding, and choices are politically and socially multifaceted, but romance hardly ever features as a role-playing choice. You can kill every important npc in your playthrough and the game will compensate for those actions but you can't tell the tetchy fusspot disaster that you love him (in the first game).
Speaking of Aloth, I get the feeling falling for him was generally universal hence why he's romancable in the second game. However, even that was met with opposition. They'll say, "Why does romance matter?" They'll growl, "It's about the lore and worldbuilding!" All while screwing over every political faction in the Deadfire Archipelago to sail away on a ghost ship.
Why does romance matter in RPGs? Why does love matter. Why do relationships matter. Why do connections matter. I think that would be obvious. Why is it less of a role-playing choice for you to imagine your hero and their companion falling in love during a epic journey than killing important npc's? I don't know. I mean, romance mechanics aren't very sophisticated but they are getting better.
(This wasn't a dig at Obsidian, btw, they make very good games that I love).

one good thing about writing a very time-period accurate short story set in the 70s is that i can make a part of my character's backstory that he summoned the ghost of winston churchill and that was how he had realized that he just had the ability to summon ghosts.

I'm sure that Ghost Trick's ending could be poignant to many people but of course it was lost on me flipping out on voice chat over how I accidentally guessed Ray's identity (well not exactly but down to the name) by a total fluke that was the product of reading a certain scene Too Fast

Sketching Lamb while trying to think up what kind of headcanons to make, because I’m not sure what category to go for.
Just confused Lamb, possibly hearing the quiet ramblings of Copia, but not being entirely sure what he’s saying/even talking about.
