Hi! i love all your work and recently I read the selkie king and literally I can't get it out of my mind. but I would like to know, do sky and wars find out later that legend wasn't actually kidding about the mer thing and that the story was genuinely based of him? Meaning that oh my gosh you're a mer and had all this horrible stuff happen to you?? (!!!)

Honestly, the both of them aren't sure what exactly to make of what Legend was saying because... he doesn't drop stuff like this lightly? But also, what?

More likely than not, I think they kinda just push it to the backs of their minds for a while until one day, when circumstances demand that Legend actually becomes a mer, things just start clicking. Warriors and Sky go from "that was just a weird thing he said, haha" to "holy crap, if he's actually mer does that mean he actually..?"

Warriors is suddenly rethinking his entire childhood and all his decisions leading up to telling Legend bed-time stories about himself and his own love life, meanwhile Sky is kinda sorta panicking because, holy crap did Legend actually get the love of his life killed?

Legend, in case you're wondering, is meanwhile oblivious.

Because he is a Link.

In his mind, he's already told them "hey, I'm a mer and something bad once happened" so he has no clue that actually turning into a mer scared the shit out of them. He also has no clue that they're only just now figuring out what he meant.

A squeak escaped her as he tugged her down, but she went willingly. She snuggled in close with a laugh. “I make whatever stipulations I want,” she teased in return. Still, that didn’t stop her from brushing her nose against his jaw with a happy hum.  

Now that she was on the rock with him, being a sleepyhead sounded like a wonderful idea. “You know, maybe we should just stay here. It’s nice and warm, and you’re so cozy.” She draped an arm around him.

⋞⁘♔⁘⋟       A quiet and rather lazy laugh was Ravus' response. He turned his head to place a soft kiss on her chin, then her cheek, then to her temple. He wondered if he could pepper her with enough of them to make her giggle. That sound was one of his favorites in all the world.

"Am I? Mm, now that is quite the tempting thought." He did enjoy lounging about and doing absolutely nothing while they basked and warmed their skin in the afternoon sun. Unfortunately, it couldn't last forever.

"I have to meet with Mother today. She said it is... very important." The tone of his voice wavered, because they both knew what the content of that meeting probably consisted of. They had both skirted around the topic for months now, but avoiding it for eternity was impossible.

So an idea I have for a story or something is maybe king dedede parents were a male selkie and a female penguin, and so when he was born maybe he had his pelt taken away or hidden by his mother or maybe she hid it after he almost got hurt or something, or maybe when he was young he saw a portal thing that took him to planet popstar but he accidentally left his seal skin back with his family, maybe he lost it somewhere on planet popstar, maybe when kirby and the forgotten land happened maybe it was found again by kirby or meta knight or king dedede himself, maybe he could turn into a seal again or maybe it has been so long that he forgot how or maybe it is too small for him to put on, maybe if he can't turn into a seal with it maybe he turns it into a cloak or maybe he gives it to meta knight or kirby without telling them what is was.
