He has no idea why he loves you (he does, he's just in denial) he's so shy trying to pursue you, he has this act he tries (tires) to put up but it's so easy to see the effect you have on him. He's not as strict on you about the rules as he is the rest, he seems to have developed a soft.

Trey: (I'm so sorry, I don't know much about the guy 😭) Gentleman. That's its. Ty for coming to my TED talk. Okay, but srsly, hear me out on this; He's a whole gentleman when he has a crush. He notices the way things seem... different. But he isn't one to back down when something precious to him is to be taken away from him. He is a dragon, after all. (Not that he'd let that happen to begin with, you'll love him dearly in the end....won't you?) Talks to you about his gargoyles, all the different facts. You dont mind the long talks about it? Silver: (AWWWWW) he's so sweet. He tries so hard to show he likes you but in such a subtle way that it's hard to catch on it even notice. He's a gentleman at heart. He loves how understanding you are of his sudden sleepiness and tiredness and don't get angry at him for something he can't control as much as he'd love to. You wanna watch over him while he sleeps? Why? Oh, so nothing harms him when he's asleep? Oh dear... His heart is beating so fast he might not even be able to sleep now (he does anyways, but with tinted cheeks)

Leona: he's the type of guy to somehow always know something you don't expect him to know. Anyways. The dude could care less if the game wasn't designed to be a dating sim. He's still going for it in his own way. Unlike the past, this is something he can't give up on. you're something he can't give up on. But oh, is this man so so smug when he uses you as a pillow.

Vil: it's either Rook told him or he figured it out on his own before Rook told him. Even if twst wasn't meant to be a dating sim with love, he will turn zero into something like he's always done. He will by any means do his utmost and his best to pursue you all while being himself. He cherishes the moments you have alone when he's giving you advice on how to take care of your skin. The small and soft lingering touches when he teaches you how to apply moisturizer correctly.

Rook: Okay, he's bound to find out twst isn't a dating sim. He's a sharp guy. Even with the knowledge of knowing twst isn't a dating sim, it isn't going to stop him from pursuing you. He himself finds this situation funny with how many hearts you've captured even with twst not supposedly being capable of that. Oh? How did you know he was watching you? You could feel him? Oh dear trickster you sure do know how to pull his heart strings.

Floyd(2): Good luck once again. I couldn't decide whether he knew or not. But! Same situation regardless. Instead, tho, he's a bit more.... more him? He's gonna find this all so much more hilarious and funny.

Lilia: This cheeky old man most definitely knows. He's seen dating Sims and knows what they are. Just bc twst isn't designed to be a dating sim doesn't mean he can't aim for it. He's not at all shy when it comes to pursuing you. He's been alive for hundreds of years, what's there to be afraid of?

Cater: (I'm so sorry, I had to 1.0) cay-cay gonna slay-slay, more like cry-cry. I feel like he's a "2nd male lead syndrome" type of guy, yk?? It's a bit hard to explain, but yeah. Anyways. 2nd male lead, we all know how that ends, don't we? (Hint: tears) He's cautious when it comes to love, hes scared of it at times. He does know he loves you but he's going to watch you being happy instead. He wishes you the best, truly! (he hates the little feeling in his chest when he says those words bc his words and actions say their happy for you, but the little feeling in his chest says otherwise)

Azul: he loves you, he really does, but would you? He knows he isn't the ideal guy. He knows he's done some shady things. And most of all, he knows (thinks) that with all these suitable people for you, he'd never be considered a choice. So he's content with just watching you from afar living a happy life. Every time you enter the lounge he finds himself between wanting to hide away or catering to your every need but he knows that if he gets any closer to you it'll just hurt more in the future.

Jamil: He's a smart guy, he knows. He also knows that he doesn't stand a chance with all these suitors going after you. A prince, an heir, a model/actor, knights, etc. He'd like to think he did stand a chance, but standing next to them, he can't help but let his insecurities get the better of him. But, oh... when you offer to help him with his chores he can't help but think that maybe... Just maybe there's a chance.

Idia: he most definitely knows, I mean, look at the way they all look at you!! He knows and suffers with the thought that he'd never stand a chance. You're being pursued by all these SSR characters!!! Surely you'd never pick someone like him when you could do so much better. He'd stuff himself in his room even more (if that's even possible) He'd avoid you even with his tablet. Every time he rejects the offer when you invite him to play video games he hates himself even more. Stop giving him false hope... Please

Sebek: (I'm so sorry 2.0) Malleus. That's why. His master, he can't seem to accept that his master would aim for a human like you, but he's hurt. He doesn't know why he feels that way. He doesn't understand why his chest hurts when he sees malleus and you interacting in such a way. (He'll begin to understand after a while, WHILE) once he realizes why it hurts, he is distraught. He won't show it, but you can see the subtle changes in his composure every now and then. He knows he has to let you go. He feels as if he has lost you. Lost something that wasn't even his to begin with and never would have been.

Grimm: he's just confused as to why everyone is after his henchmen. He doesn't know what a dating sim is either.

Ace(2): he's having the time of his life seeing you struggle with all this. He has absolutely no idea why so many are after you, but he's just gonna watch as they all struggle. (He knows why they are after you, after all his best friend in kinda cool, but he'd never admit to that) also has a laugh with watching riddle try (don't tell riddle he said that tho)

Ruggie(2): another that's gonna have the time of his life with this. Laughing like the hyena he is, watching the struggle (especially Leona's struggle 💀)

Jack: He's just vibing. This whole situation is a mess, really. He watches out for you most of the time just in case. (*caugh* floyd *cough*) He's a bit worried for you ngl so he wants to teach you self defense just in case, if you already know how to handle yourself thats great! (*cough* floyd *cough)

Ortho: he knows. His brother told him in his ramblings, and he noticed that idia is thinking smth negative. He tries to encourage him in every possible way to just try, that there is a chance, but nothing seems to work.

Xie Lian isn’t a hero.

I started with TGCF first when I was introduced to danmei, and I was floored by what I read. It wasn’t just boys kissing in ancient china, it was actually about human tragedy and the selfishness of the omnipotent.

The theme of TGCF doesn’t revolve around XL alone. It’s much bigger than that. This isn’t a ‘TGCF is better’ post, but rather, TGCF is different. And it’s different because Xie Lian isn’t a typical human hero.

XL is not a heroic character like WWX, and he isn’t a sarcastic/comedic relief hero like SQQ. And it isn’t because of their personalities. XL is just as selfless as WWX and just as unreasonably punished as both other MC’s. However, when bad things happen to WWX, you know it’s because of his personality. Because of his kindness, his confidence, his wit. It’s simply BECAUSE it’s WWX as the protagonist.

Same with SVSSS. That story couldn’t have happened without Shen Yuan in SQQ’s body. Like we never would have gotten that level of sarcasm, pity, and empathy. And the novel tells you that repeatedly. Everything that happens in the previous two novels does so because of who the main character is.

But when things happen in TGCF, XL isn’t even the center of the conflict. It’s almost always someone else’s fault, someone else’s business, or someone else’s issue he just happens to be present for. But somehow, it always comes back to him. It’s always his job to resolve things.

Unlike WWX, the conflict isn’t his fault. WWX actively pushes the narrative with his actions. He drives the conflict and later becomes it. Whether he’s at fault or not is the point of his story, but for XL, he’s really just incredibly unlucky. He’s tragic in the sense that he’s just being fucked over by everyone in his life. For what? For being…wonderful!?

I absolutely love that his one little phrase pissed off the evil emperor of heaven. Like his mere existence is a problem.

It’s an incredible piece of writing that the things that get him into trouble are his altruism. Altruism that is fitting for someone who thinks himself a GOD. But also, altruism that many of us mortals share.

Why CANT he save his people if he’s a god? Why CANT he answer everyone’s prayers? Why is he not good enough or strong enough to resolve this conflict if he’s literally a GOD.

XL is constantly facing issues and asking questions that humanity itself has asked.

Why isn’t god answering me, why isn’t god helping me, why do we have a god at all? TGCF has a commentary that doesn’t limit itself to just XL and the type of person he is in the way that MDZS relies on WWX and SVSSS relies on SQQ.

Those novels are how most novels typically function. You choose a specific type of human and see the world through their eyes.

But XL isn’t human. Not in the way he acts nor in the way he tells this story. He tells you everything he witnesses and it barely affects him anymore. He just has some wise thoughts about what everything means.

But TGCF isn’t asking: what would happen if a kind prince ascended to godhood?

Instead—

TGCF begs the question:

What if you told the story of humanity, not through the eyes of a human, but through the eyes of god.

Xie Lian is god.

XL is 800yrs old, has lived through countless tragedies, celebrations, friendships, betrayals, and he ascends. Again.

He’s been stuck with the burden of immortality and now he’s re entering the place that gave him that burden. He walks into heaven to see new gods, but the same old problems. And the whole vibe he has in this is less benevolent and wonderful and more like a fed up mom who’s tired of seeing the girls fighting.

He sits back and watches these issues devolve and shuffles his way into the conflict by accident. Because he’s the only one competent enough to do anything about it.

XL doesnt react like a human being, at the start of the current timeline, he’s a god.

He’s an 800yr old god. He’s seen everything, learned everything.

We see this prince who thinks himself a god then become one. And instead of learning what it means to be a god so he can help the common man— he learns what it means to be a common man so he can become a real god.

XL goes through HELL. He loses countless times, is left, betrayed, ruined, trampled, destroyed. He is constantly being thwarted by not just people but the very gods he worshipped and the god he himself became. But again— XL isn’t even that big of a personality for us to cling to that alone and see how these things happened to him??

He isn’t boasting about how great he is out of pride and ego, he isn’t rampaging or going mad with power, he isn’t a huge character. But his lack of those qualities is what triggers Jun Wu to ruin him. He wants to see him go crazy, wants to see him struggle. Wants to see his ego and pride. And he’s not the only one!!!

Mu Qing is also incredibly jealous, so are the other gods!!! And Qi Rong, his own family!!! His parents even get upset with him for not doing enough. Everyone saw this kid blessed with so much and started wishing for him to break. And they succeed. He goes insane, he starts killing, he starts wanting to die, he starts losing faith.

But MAN it is just so gorgeous to me that this character is almost…forced to be a main character? Forced to suffer, forced to make mistakes, forced to be a problem. He is so powerful and smart and incredible and then he is made to believe he is nothing. Here is this god who has been forced to feel HUMAN.

And once he finally feels that way, once he finally falls to the ground and loses everything, someone comes by and offers his hat.

And that’s all it takes for a man to truly become a god.

TGCF asks what if you told a story through the eyes of god? It shows you this guy sighing through drama and fixing peoples problems.

And then it goes back and tells you: What makes a man, god?

And we read all of XL’s history. His victories and failures. And it perfectly describes how he’s ascended again. Not out of heroics this time. But out of his pure humanity.

God is a kind, gentle, but confident man who wanders around helping who he can and opening his doors to those who wish to come in. He resolves the conflicts he’s there for, and takes note of those he wasn’t there for. He trudges along holding no grudges and sighing when people make mistakes. He loves selflessly and holds no judgment. He feels strange letting people take care of him but he will take care of you. When he can, and when he has the chance, he will take care of you.

XL is almost born with every book definition of what a god is: kind, selfless, strong, and true. But his story forces him to learn how to be human instead. To fail, die, love, kill and suffer. And when that god was beaten and broken, he was saved by one thing. A human.

That’s how you become a god. And that’s what it means to be one. To be human. To be a good person.

XL couldn’t have been a WWX. He couldn’t have been a staple protagonist with a heart of gold, wit and passion. He couldn’t have had a story with everyone’s conflict directly tied to him and because of him. That isn’t what TGCF is for.

It isn’t about XL himself. It’s about god. It explores the selfishness that comes with immortality, and the selflessness that comes with mortality.

There are other aspects that make it a nice protag story. He falls in love, he’s kinda air headed and sassy. He did have the character and maturity to choose to become a wonderful godlike person but that’s a post for another day. But honestly, if this were a regular novel, it probably would’ve been about Hua Cheng. He lives for love and passion and devotion. He kills and saves and sacrifices, he denies godhood and wins the girl in the end. Now THATS a hero.

But XL isn’t a hero. He’s a god.

MXTX wrote a story that wasn’t about a sheepish prince who lost it all, but instead wrote a story about gods and humans. She wrote what reads like a Greek epic to me. With such hard comments on morality and cruelty. She really hit me with everything I love about literature. And yes I do love MDZS and SVSS but TGCF is different.

Like guoshi said: the gods are human, after all. But XL above them all, is most definitely a god.

Walkis Gang Headcanons - Charles Contini:

Warnings: None; Some slight manga spoilers

Being the only third year and the oldest out of the Walkis gang, Charles is the closest thing to a Responsible Adult™ this motley crew of madlads have. He has definitely looked at his juniors and thought, "Wow, thank god I'm the only normal person here" (No, Charles, no you're not).

Charles had probably one of the happiest childhoods out of the whole gang, because like I said before, most noble families (+ Innocent Zero) are shit at raising their kids. It wasn't 100% that great at first because Charles' father was a dick to Charles and his mom, until Mama Contini had enough and divorced her husband when Charles was still a little kid.

Honestly, shoutout to Mama Contini. One of the few good parents in the upper crust of magic society, and the one who introduced painting to Charles. Her only fault is that she coddles him a bit too much despite him being literally eighteen.

Mama Contini didn't raise no fool, though, because any household chore that needs to be done, Charles does it without being told to and without complaints. He finds it preposterous that there's guys his age and older who don't know shit about cooking, doing their own laundry, or cleaning up after themselves.

Whenever Charles visits his juniors in their dorms, 7 times out of 10 he gets an aneurysm because of how disorganized they are ("Do you make your mothers clean up after you at home, you pigs?!"), and kicks them out of their own rooms so that he can clean the place up from top to bottom. Galuf and Malcolm are the biggest offenders.

GREAT with kids. If anyone at Walkis needs someone to babysit their little siblings, Charles is their guy.

In terms of his magic ability, Charles is strong enough to have a Secondths. He just didn't get a chance to use it during the Tri-Magicathalon because 1) the rules of the Whack-a Mole room prevented him and Lance from directly attacking each other and 2) he underestimated Lance that badly. (I have no idea what his Secondths could be though 😭)

His personal magic, Vorp, currently has a distance limit. Charles can portal himself to anywhere in Walkis and is therefore never late to his classes, but he can't, for instance, create an effective portal connecting his dorm at Walkis to his mom's house. He's working on being able to travel longer distances via portals and is also trying to expand the size of his portals.

He has definitely jump-scared people by suddenly appearing behind them. Even though it's mostly by accident, almost the entire Walkis gang thinks he does it on purpose, and Charles at this point is too tired to correct them. The first time Charles accidentally portaled behind Galuf, Galuf let out a high-pitched scream, and no one has let him forget it since.

I have nothing to back this up, but Charles gives me dorm prefect vibes.

Charles is, in general, a pretty cheerful guy; you just can't tell at first though because his default expression makes him look bored to death at everyone and everything.

An absolute crybaby when he was in middle school at Walkis. It was his first time away from his mom, and the rabbiphone wasn't invented yet, so the homesickness hit him like a truck every damn day for like about a year.

The rest of the Walkis gang is pretty certain that Charles has some sort of pocket dimension in his, well, pockets because whenever someone needs something, Charles always comes in clutch with that exact thing. Galuf's dry eyes? Charles always has eyedrops at the ready. Levis, Lovie, and Domina's hair keeps getting in their way? Charles' got so many hair ties, it's ridiculous. Kenny's feeling more chilly than usual? Charles is already pulling out a handmade scarf. Anyone sneezed? Not to worry, Charles has spare handkerchiefs. And of course, there's his rabbiphone.

If there's anyone from Easton that Charles would actually get along with, it would be Margarette because they both have 'maternal instincts'. Listen, just imagine these two having brunch and gossiping about the shenanigans their rowdy kids juniors get into at their schools. Heck, they'd probably try to out-mother each other like it's some competition.

For the love of god, do NOT leave Charles alone in the same room with Lance ever. They will throw hands (wands?) at the slightest provocation. Charles is incapable of withholding snide remarks, Lance's Divine Visionary status be damned, and Lance won't hesitate to put him in his place. The siscon vs mama's boy beef is eternal.

Thoughts on #Elite7

I finished up Elite S7 and I have some thoughts with some gifs. 🥹

Positives:

Rocio got story and screentime. 🎉 I hated seeing her chase after Bilal's worthless ass in S6 cause he didn't even like her & constantly disrespected her yet as soon as he found out her fam is rich, he started singing a different tune. Rocio didn't get as much as I wanted in terms of screentime but enough that she got famliy drama with her mom's illicit activities + romantic drama with Eric. Nico's cousin Eric showed up this season and he's got issues. Rocio & Eric had good chem (much more chem IMO that he has with Chloe) in their attraction to each other.

Eric messes up more than a few times with her yet how he treats her shows care and actual feelings, not just sexual desire. What Elite was building up with Rocio & Eric was love as opposed to what he had with Chloe, which was vices + sex. Sadly, I think this romance with Eric & Rocio will only exist in S7, which is unfortunate with all that good chem and decent build up. 😮‍💨

2) The surprise appearance of Fiks from Blood and Water! I didn't know about the crossover so it was good to see her. I know Ivan will be in S4 of Blood and Water.

3) I like the crew of Nico, Eric, & Rocio. They have a nice vibe together, good times and bad times, I would say more of this in S8 but I've read that Rocio won't be in S8 so I'll have to enjoy the beginnings of a solid crew that I got in S7 since I'm about to get nothing in S8. I thought the scenes with Nico & his cousin re: Eric's mental health issues were absorbing too. Eric wanted to do better but hated how he felt being on meds. As his uncle said, it's about figuring out the right cocktail to help him with the highs and lows but Eric struggled with patience in that because of the side effects.

4) I adore Ivan so I was glad to see him on the mend from the accident. He's still heartbroken over Patrick's exit and the death of Cruz so much of S7 is him trying to move past his grief. He does that in the form of Joel which is in the next section.

Neutral / Indifferent:

1) Omar / Joel / Ivan... I've already admitted I adore Ivan but for full disclosure, I'm BIG on Patrivan so anything else for them with anyone else was always going to be an uphill battle. I also do not like Omar ever since he cheated with Malik and didn't even apologize to Nadia about it. All this said... I didn't hate this story. I thought it was interesting to show Omar's depression from what happened to Samu but the show spent a little bit too much time with all the back and forth in this story. Joel is alright and his chem with both guys is fine. I just wasn't invested in this triangle and all the angst but it's not a bad story. Dalmar is MVP in it.

2) Chloe and Carmen: I wanted Ivan's mother to show up and Carmen did. She also brought along Ivan's half-sister (to which I need to do some age checking cause pregnancies take time!) named Chloe. Carmen is a golddigger and it made sense why Cruz paid her to stay away from Ivan. That doesn't mean that Ivan didn't have a moment where he got to know his mother a little TOO well. ahem. The drama here with Ivan's new family had potential and was messy but I... didn't care for Chloe's everything is sbout sex story, especially with Eric but also with Raul. All it did was make me roll my eyes a lot in annoyance. The strong-arming that Chloe was irresistible / sexy got tired quickly, especially when she was walking around in her school uniform with her bra out as sign of that "sexiness." Come on!

3) All things Didac, Isadora, and their families: a lot going on and a lot of it didn't move me. Didac & Isadora are fine together so that wasn't the issue for me. The Romeo + Juliet story with the warring families didn't quite work for me. Took up lots of screentime too.

What did work? The hottie undercover cop. That was some nice eye candy.

4) Sonia & Nico... I wanted to see more of them after the S6 drama with Ari and they got shafted in terms of story + screentime toghether, particularly after Nico schtupped Chloe.

Negatives:

1) All things Sara and Raul.

I've hated these two characters since they both showed up in S6 but someone has a hard-on for them in the writers room, particularly Sara. I skipped over many of their scenes with each other and with others. Raul won't be in S8. I wish Sara wasn't as well but she'll be their stinking up things. 🗑️

(This was two weeks ago) Omg, today was the departmental orientation of my college, and I wanted to cry so bad! Everyone enrolled with their friends, so they sat in groups, and I was the only person who sat alone. My cousin tried cheering me up by saying that I was giving mysterious girl vibes, but yeah, enough yapping.

"Attention passengers, we will be arriving at Seoul station shortly." The automated voice in the train announced.

As all the people who were getting down at Seoul get ready, a particular person was still snoozing away. Leaning asleep on his duffle bag,Jung Sungchan, who was moving to Seoul after graduating high school, was still unaware of the arriving station.

That was until he got a call jolting him awake from his sleep.

"W-what? Huh...oh... mom." Sungchan mumbled before picking up the call.

"Oh, mom-huh? No! I didn't fall asleep...of course I knew the station was arriving. Uh-okay then." After ending the call, Sungchan quickly got up and pulled down his bag from the overhead rack and fixed his hair to avoid getting nagged on by his mom for sleeping.

Sungchan's family moved to Seoul way before he graduated. He lived in the dorms until he graduated, but now, after getting accepted into Kwangya University of Arts and Sports, he's gonna be living with his family again. Which was why he was panicking cause he almost missed his stop.

Getting out of the train with his things, Sungchan looked around in search of his family, who came to pick him up.

"Sungchan!" Sungchan turned around to see his family waving at him, their figures bringing a smile to his face.

"Yooo!" Sungchan exclaimed as he hugged his mom tightly and twirled her before putting her down and hugging his dad and elder brother.

"I was closest to you!" Sungchan chuckled as he looked down at his little brother, who he picked up easily and spun him around.

After the sweet reunion, the Jung family headed back home, Sungchan plopping on the bed almost instantly.

"At least wash up, will you?" His mother nagged, making him groan.

"Your son took the earliest train to come back to you. Let him sleep." Sungchan said, earning a sigh from his mother as she chuckled and went down to cook him some food.

"Don't sleep too long, though." Sungchan's mom reminded as he hummed in response. Tired from the journey, Sungchan sighed in content as he began drifting off to sleep.

Unfortunately, he could only get 10 seconds of shut eye before being attacked by a little firecracker.

"BYUNGCHAN." Sungchan called out in a warning tone as his younger brother sat on his back.

"Hyung, let's go to the ice arena! I wanna play hockey with you!" Byungchan exclaimed, making Sungchan groan.

"I don't wanna play right now. Go to your room! I'm tired." Sungchan complained making his brother pout.

"You never wanna play with me! Even when we were living back at home, you never played with me! It's not fair, it's not fair, it's not fair!" Byungchan whined, making Sungchan groan and roll around in his bed before getting up.

"ALRIGHT! Alright! Now shut up and go get ready!" Sungchan exclaimed, making Byungchan cheer before running off to get ready.

Sungchan sighed before rolling in his bed in frustration and getting up, accepting his fate.

"Hyung, are you part of an ice hockey team?" Byungchan asked me as I sighed. Me and Byungchan were headed to the local ice arena to practice... more like playing a little bit of ice hockey.

"No, I was too busy. But I did play for the school team." I said, making Byungchan marvel.

"You're so cool!" Byungchan said, making me laugh before running my fingers through my hair in pride.

"Took you long enough to realise." I said before we reached the ice arena.

"Now, there's some people skating, so don't hit too hard. We'll only occupy half of the rink." I making Byungchan nod. After we put on our skates, I took out my hockey stick and puck.

"Hyung, are you excited for college?" Byungchan suddenly asked, making me trip and fall on the ice.

"Ouch- what?" I asked again making him roll his eyes.

"Yeah, I totally can't see that you're scared hyung." Byungchan said making me flick his forehead

"I'M NOT."

After a while, I watched Byungchan just play around with the hockey stick and the puck... as expected from a 7 year old.

I sighed before deciding to practice a little myself. I glided through the ice before getting in position and shooting the puck straight in the net.

Soon, I was practicing like how I usually train with coach. After gliding through the ice, I hit my puck towards the net but before the puck could reach the net a dude came in frontvmaking the puck hit his skates causing him to fall face flat on the ice.

"Oh shoot-" I quickly skated to the guy's side and helped him up.

"I am so sorry, I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings." I apologized making the guy chuckle before looking up at me.

"It's alright, I'm really careless-" the guy cut his own words before pointing at me.

"Shotaro?" I said, making him nod.

"Sungchan?" He said, making me nod before he broke into a smile and pulled me in for a hug.

"Brooo! How long has it been?!" Shotaro exclaimed making me smile.

"5 or 6 years, what are you doing here? I thought you guys moved back to Japan!" I questioned as Shotaro chuckled.

"We did, but I got into KUAS and moved back here a year ago. Seira's gonna be attending KUAS, too." Shotaro said, making my eyes widen.

"I'm going there too..." I mumbled, making Shotaro cheer.

"That's great! We can attend classes again like the good old times!" Shotaro said making me smile.

"Did Seira not come with you?" Sungchan asked, making Shotaro snort.

"It's her turn to do groceries, so I just came here to kill time." Shotaro said, making me furrow my brows.

"Why, though? Don't you guys live separately in the dorms?" I asked, making Shotaro shake his head.

"I used to, but since Seira is going to KUAS as well, mom and dad got us an apartment near the university." Shotaro said with a smile when Byungchan came over.

"Hyung! Who's this?" He asked making me widen my eyes.

"Don't talk like that, he's my friend." I said making Byungchan look up at Shotaro.

"Oh... is this Byungchan?? You grew up so much! Last time I saw you, you were around 1 or 2!" Shotaro said, making Byungchan hide behind me.

"Why are you suddenly so shy?" I said, making Byungchan pop his head from behind me.

"He's weird."

"..." Shotaro froze and stood awkwardly, making me flick Byungchan's forehead.

"DON'T. I'm so sorry... he's spoiled. " I said making him chuckle.

"It's fine. He was just a baby back then, so he won't remember me." Shotaro said before his phone beeped.

"Oh... oh. Seira's done, so I gotta go. Are you guys leaving now? If yes, we can walk out together." Shotaro said making me smile and nod.

"Byungchan, let's go." I said making him whine.

"NOOOO!" He exclaimed making me groan.

"I'll get you ice cream!" I said, making him smile and get up at once. After packing our bags, the three of us walked out. My heart was beating like a drum at the fact that I'll be meeting Seira again.

After walking out Shotaro walked front and waved at someone.

"Seira! Over here!" My breath hitched at the sight of a girl wearing a black tracksuit with long jet black hair holding some groceries. Her back was facing us, so I didn't see her face, but I saw it when she heard Shotaro and turned around.

"What took you so long?" Her voice had gotten a little deeper.

I widened my eyes to see her. She still looked the same, except now she had a cooler aura and she has long hair... and she grew taller. But her eyes still had the same sparkle it did like when we were kids.

"Look who I found!" Shotaro exclaimed making her look over at me.

"No... you're kidding. Jung Sungchan?!" She exclaimed, her cool aura breaking almost immediately as a smile graced her lips.

"Hi..." I said awkwardly, not knowing what to say.

"Hii!" She exclaimed and attacked me with a tight hug, making me laugh and break into a smile.

"You're still the same." I said with a chuckle making her smile and slap my arm.

"So are you! Bro, where are you studying? Please say KUAS." She said making me nod.

"Yeah, I'm gonna attend KUAS." I said, making her cheer and slap my arm in happiness, making me wince.

"Great! I am, too... omg we can go together!" She said before her eyes went down to Byungchan.

"Omo... Byungchan!" She squealed and picked him up before hugging him.

"Who are you?!" Byungchan exclaimed in shock, making me widen my eyes but Seira just laughed and put him down.

"I used to bring baby snacks for you when you were a child. Wah, you grew up so well!" She said and patted his head before going through her grocery bag and taking out two ice cream and giving it to Byungchan and me.

"It's fine, Seira-" She cut my words with a slap on my shoulder.

"Stop with the manners! You used to shamelessly devour this back then." She said making me groan at the memory.

"Thank you!" Byungchan said making her smile.

"You're most welcome! So, you in the dorms, or is your whole family living here?" Seira asked making me nod.

"Yeah, my family's here too." I said making Shotaro nod

"I thought I saw your mom once. We should exchange numbers!" Shotaro suggested making my heart swell.

After talking for a while, Shotaro and Seira bid us goodbye and left for their home.

"They're so similar." Byungchan said making me laugh.

"They're siblings, of course they're siblings." I said with a smile as I watched them walk away while bickering in japanese.

"How do they know me?" Byungchan asked making me groan.

"Being a question box is a bad habit. Back in our hometown, you the the house next to ours, right? They used to live there." I said, making him gasp as we made our way home hand in hand.

That night after dinner I looked at the texts they sent me.

All the options are based from my prior 2 polls asking who people wanted Faramir’s Dad and Mom to be.

I came upon some confusion with myself at first do to my removal of all the one’s that didnt get any votes at all from the list- and so ended up with 7 mom candidates and 10 dads.

It was late enough that when i made the decision that i should take the three lowest voted dad’s and put them with the highest voted dads to even out the equation i forgot to put into consideration that that meant i’d taken six Dads out of the way. And thus decided i should line up the bottom four of each list to fix it. I realized ‘math dosent work for tired brains’ and smushed the remaining 3 together and called it a night. As a Bonus: Merry, Pippin, Fili and Kili get spots on the list. To understand what each of these pairs mean- here are some of the pros of co-parenting.

Elrond and Dain: many children (mayhem and otherwise)

Gandalf and Bolg: totally terribly absurd and polar opposite methods of raising children.

Aragorn and Smaug: compromise is not easy

Bard and Shelob: she has kids, he has kids, they’re equally horrified

Bilbo and Arwen: casual aunt and uncle vibes all the way

Beorn and Dori: mothering is a term not used lightly between them

Sméagol and the Bardlings: they’re all children your honor

Dis and Thranduil and Lobelia: Strong willed, sassy, intense group of differing backgrounds and cultures all set on raising a baby human.

Bonus:

Eldest son, blue theme (like I could say this for all the Sullys, but shush), can do no wrong except when one of the siblings stubs a toe and then the Guilt, daddy's favorite solider who's also a huge dork (like we don't see a lot of evidence of this in canon for Neteyam but let me have this), Neteyam's Untimely End vs Leo getting treated as such a punching bag by each TMNT iteration that throwing him through a goddamn window is an established franchise staple by now.

Kiri - Donnie

A case can be made for April-Kiri parallels (particularly for psychic powers re 2012 April, my beloved, and dead mom syndrome) and also Karai-Kiri (for dead mom syndrome, how often I've mixed up their fucking names while writing), but Kiri-Donnie fits the siblings theme, so there. They're tech nerd-nature nerd solidarity, autistic Entities of unparalleled death and destruction, happy to destroy government property, younger siblings pretending to be above the Chaos while very much not, and in desperate need of a nap and a stiff drink.

Lo'ak - Raph

Rage issues. Daddy issues. Big brother issues. Relatively smol and Keenly aware of that fact. Adored by the (smart) fans, cursed by Eywa/God. Makes strong bonds with animal fwends and also collects traumatic experiences like magnets collect nails. 100% either in a fistfight or sobbing into his pillow rn. In a family living at the bottom of a fucking sewer and/or on the run from the government, still manages to feel like an odd one out. Someone needs to introduce Lo'ak to emo music, it would fuck him up so much /pos.

Tuk - Mikey

Youngest and most excitable sibling, heart of gold and jaws of steel. Optimism that remains in the face of innocence slowly being shaved away by Events. Hates being left out or left behind, committed to various Schemes and Plans with historically mixed outcomes. Has definitely either killed a man or will do so as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

Spider - Karai and April

Spider's kind of an unholy amalgamation of April's Token Human We've Shared Traumatic Experiences With journey and Karai's At Odds With Creepy Undead Father Figure And Complex Relationship With Less Creepy Father Figure (see below) arcs. Basically part of my ongoing psyops plans to Feminize That Boy (don't worry Karai-Kiri and April-Kiri parallels, I still love you). Also, Leorai/Apritello and Speteyam/Spiri (mix and match at will) have exciting interspecies and/or vaguely incestous vibes we should all strive for in our weird fanfics.

Jake - Splinter/Hamato Yoshi

Big Bad of the story, or at least the one everybody pays attention to. The Bitch Who Refuses To Die. Unhealthy, possessive, genuinely quite creepy (/pos) obsession with sort-of-kid who ended up in his care through Unfortunate Means. Will destroy everything he remotely cares about and sit in the ashes with surprised Pichaku face before finding someone to blame. Refuses to let go of a fucking grudge, be it with aforementioned homoerotic-homicide buddy or various children.

Neytiri

Technically the best Neytiri parallel in terms of family relationships would be Tang Shen, Splinter's wife and the pseudo/actual (depending on the iteration) mother of his children. However, Tang Shen has an unfortunate history of being Dead Girled and Ghost-Momed in a way that puts her more in common with Grace or Tom Sully (rip). Ghoulette mischaracterizing...

I'm sure a lot of people will tell you it's mommy-coding Cumulus, which tbh it probably is. (see also: Aether. boy likes to be held too ya know?) But I've seen a lot of people actively pushing against that recently which makes me very happy.

So instead I raise you Confident-Boss-Bitch Cirrus. We've all seen her hyping the crowd behind the keyboard risers like a soccer mom on match day, she OWNS the stage with the keytar solo, and she's pretty much a universal dom in fics.

But, what if she's not the on-stage persona? (We all hc Dew as something other than just angry right?) What if she's actually hiding a deep feeling of needing to hold the pack together and appear in control all the time because of the turbulence around when she first joined the pack? I get strong eldest-daughter vibes.

I hc that she has a soft and vulnerable side the congregation doesn't see, even her pack don't know the full extent of it, only Cumulus does really since they were summoned together. She has insecurities too, just more hidden.

Here is where I tell every fic writer who ever put any time into making the ghoulettes more 3D that I love them will all my heart (your cirrus/mist fic was *chefs kiss* btw!) 🖤

i think y'all hit the nail on the head. honestly speaking i think cirrus is one of the least dynamically written characters in this fandom. 90% of the time she's the mean femme-dom. nothing more. like? thats boring! i like what you've all said about the reason she might put up a stern or stoic front.

but! also! what sage mentioned. while i think she takes performing seriously, she isnt serious in appearance, if that makes sense. she is having fun, jumping around, doing little hand gestures, and bein fuckin sexayyyy on that keytar. she's having fun with it all, performing just like the rest of them. i'll see clips of her and just scream LOOK AT HER GOOO.

and yes, how does that differ from her off-stage personality? i still think she's on the stoic side, like dew. but she isnt, like, apathetic. she's silly, she laughs, she teases, she pines, she fails, she cries. she. fUCKING. BOTTOMS Y'ALL. come on. you can't tell me swiss doesnt run her into the fucking ground sometimes. you cant tell me that lus doesnt absolutely pamper her and eat her out as long as she wants. you cant tell me that dew doesnt take it slow with her, hold her close and warm and let her relax for once.

i would really like to see us dig into her more. what is she really like outside the bedroom, outside of her relationship with cumulus? bc, lets face it, lots of us like to write them as a unit. while they're fucking in love, obviously, i mean come on, cirrus is a person aside from her bond w/lus. what is she like with the others? hell, what is she like when she's alone?

its why i wrote her the way i did in Been Long Enough. i wanna see her stutter, see her 'meet her match' so to say. bc i still think cirrus is very clever, smart. she can still like that dom role every once in a while (again, remember a little dash of these things are fine). but i think she gets tired of it too. she wants to be taken care of, wants to just totally have that control slip out from under her. maybe thats something about her, an anxiety like those of you mentioned that creates a front that isnt really her.

i wanna pick her apart more. @askingforthesun always helps me see the light about her haha. they are very passionate about cirrus and rightfully so, and i always love what they have to say about her.

Y/N Pov

A year had gone by since everything had happened. This time we decided to stay in New York. It was our home and Tara was in school. We were tired of running we just wanted to settle down.

Things felt like they were finally coming together. You and Danny were happy and you had even taken the step of moving in with each other. Learning to let go of Tara was hard but you were doing it.

She was moving on campus and the twins promised they would watch after her. I went back to therapy again. It was helping a little bit we were on a journey here.

After everything that happened you two moved far out of the city. You lived in a quiet litle town. There was this amazing cafe that the both you loved so much they saved you a pertmanet seat

You guys even got a dog together. Family walks were the best. Finding new places where you lived. You both loved walking though the park holding hands 

Every day was weird though it was like I was getting better. I was getting to the place I wanted to be

. But then It felt like I kept waiting for something to drop. I had to remind myself not to have a panic attack every time the phone rang.

Danny was incredible though. He was there for you and always re assured   he wasn’t some secret killer obsessed with your dad.  

Sense things were getting back to normal you decided how you wanted the rest of your life to look.

You spent so much time worrying about other people that you needed to take care of yourself. Since  Then? you decided to take some classes at the local community college. Just some general education classes.

You were thinking about becoming a trauma counselor. Being able to help others and know why they weren’t alone. To show people how strong they are.

Danny was doing well as well. He was still hella overprotective of you though. You were grateful to have someone in your life who cared so much about you .

The two of you were even talking a lot about your future together. A family and getting married. It was so crazy how in love with this man you were. Was it too cheesy to sa the completed you.

It always felt like something was missing and now you know why.  

A sense of family and belonging was something you always wanted. Danny and everyone gave you that. someone to come home to. To wake up in the morning and see someone laying down next to you.

You never really thought you were the type to want to settle down and have kids and wear a wedding dress and say sappy vows.

You considered yourself a lone wolf type of person. But being with Danny changed all that.

Havings kids and buying a big house and growing old with him was something you dreamed about. 

You never got tired of being with each other either. He would always drop you off to school or work. And you insisted with finding your own way home. 

He would even drop by for lunch just because he missed you. He would always bring flowers to the most amazing ones. 

Life at home was even better to. You were a terrible cook so he took care of that you did the dishes a true team. 

He always had his set of TV shows he loved to watch. He loved crime shows like FBI. You thought he looked like the guy Nestor but he didn’t see it. 

He made you sit with him and watch them all. He loved sharing his intrest with you. 

He also never wanted to go to bed by himself because was lonely. Which you thought was really sweet. 

The little things like that always meant so much. A simple normal life with the man you were in love with.

This is a past contact, what kind I’m not sure. You could’ve lived together, or you definitely are from the same place initially, probably someone you knew in childhood. I’m getting neighbor, but that won’t apply everywhere. Sibling maybe.  -are korean and autistic -Mom died in a car crash. skater was present and was 11 at the time -Dad was deemed unfit to be her guardian (I'm working on it but just ignore how possibly unrealistic that is) -She is 15, lives with her uncles now, and is slowly working through her trauma and growing as a person -after the crash she sort of latched onto skate boarding as a coping mechanism and uses the nickname skater, which she is changing her actual name to -the name skater fits with her last name park, which is a common korean last name and they love to see people's expressions when she introduces herself as skater park -Also likes graffiti and using spray paint -mildly good at parkour?? bad but not super bad -Morally ambiguous. she tries hard to be a good person but strays from that frequently -clever. absolutely thrives on vibing with friends but ends up being sort of a weirdo -a bit.. intense. would not hesitate to stab someone and then proceed to never mention it again -"i would kill for you" but genuinely would. Without hesitation - apparently the clone of some old, corrupt time Deity that was intended to be a vessel for them to return to the world but things went askew so now Skayer has to deal with someone who looks almost exactly like her floating around and talking to her and distracting her by talking about death and asking about how she'd feel about letting good ol Kronos take over for a bit -Goofy and immature but Old and Tired at the same time -asks "you need me to kill someone for you?" With a completely straight face -sort of dark humor -walks with a fancy strut and fans her fingers out for dramatic tension and all sorts of movements -fast w running and escaping -smooth talkerz/a bit manipulative -self preservation instinct is strong and they end up in situations where they're forced to betray their friends to survive -actually pretty chill w being a pawn for the villain since they're useful at least -she's trying to be silly and light hearted but ends up very confused when people stare in shock at her when she tells a story they THOUGHT was funny but was actually messed up -they've been running through my head since 2020 -very afraid of turning out even remotely like Kronos -pretty scary when she hs genuine confidence since everyone is reminded of kronos -ts is Everything Moves by Bronze Radio Return

-Thousands of years old -Identical to Skater, but taller and with a fancy green uniform and glowing green eyes -Sarcastic and comes off as deranged with the way they smile -it's very clear they're corrupt with power -Immortal and very divorced from the concept of mortality and empathy. They have difficulties thinking of other people and beings as anything more than a piece in their personal chess game -Charming. I can't figure out the words but think of them as having a very similar personality to Loki -time Deity, ability to rewind specific things. She is capable of knocking a few years off of someone's life or straight up winding them until they turn to dust -yea she's overpowered but in a "they have issues regarding that" way -uses a scythe as their main weapon -generally has an older sibling relationship with skater -violent and ruthless. Genuinely has fun fighting and getting injured since it seen so long they've had a physical form and could feel things -was trapped in a pocketwatch by other deities, so it's been a while since they've been out -very manipulative -doesn't care about risks since they can just rewind time to make them no longer exist. High pain tolerance -"scout's honor!" Minutes later, "I was never a scout" -Very little loyalty to anyone other than Skayer -they have a soft spot for Skater and want what's best for her but it's not exactly genuinely good stuff -sort of a ghost?? They're not physically there and won't be unless they possess skater's body. Powerless without a vessel -ts is cabinet man by lemon demon

Hikaru- Revealed his ass tatt at a family dinner with our aunt and uncle - Dude (Hikaru) told his aunt she looks like a frog and then attacked her with said frog, I don’t think he’d have any qualms with showing off his new ass tatt

Mori - Broke his wrist while skateboarding home drunk, didn’t realize it because his pain tolerance is so high, still threw cousins into a lake, ended up needing two surgeries to fix his wrist. - My brother is, as we like to describe, stupid strong, and with the way Mori lifted Haruhi in the first ep like she was nothing? He also seems stupid strong and maybe a bit oblivious to his own pain.

Honey - Snuck out to McDonald’s in the middle of the night and got caught because he put the receipt in the visor and it landed in our dad’s lap the next morning - Honey decided to add McDonald’s ice cream with his midnight cake eating.

Tamaki- Adopting a puppy in college without telling my parents (and NOT having a job at the time to pay for said puppy’s needs). (was going to say, surprise, my gf and I are pregnant! Jk, I adopted a dog, but then decided not to go that route. My mom agreed that out of all his recent decisions, that was the best one.) - Tamaki might be the King of the Host Club, but he is not the King of Thinking Things Through

Kyoya - Went the wrong way on a train in Whales, and ended up getting a ride home with a famous Welsh race car driver - Kyoya would only get on the wrong train if he was extra tired, but he knows all the famous people, so of course the guy he gets a ride home from is a famous race car driver.

Haruhi - Got stung by a jellyfish that wrapped itself all around his body from his legs all the way across his torso, and then everyone, including our Grandpa 100s of miles away, offered to come pee on him. - Haruhi seems like she’d have that kind of bad luck and that everyone would want to “help” her.

Kaoru - found a stray chicken in the middle of the city his senior year, “adopt” it, named it Lizzie, had our mom say “um??? No???” and pay money to take it to a farm (where they did NOT kill it), and then proceeded to have my mother booed at the senior band concert because she didn’t let him keep the chicken. Oh, and then have the chicken end up not being a chicken. He’s a rooster. - Kaoru likes to boo Tamaki, and even though adopting a random chicken does seem more like Mori vibes… the getting my mom booed at the concert screams a petty Kaoru, so there you have it.

Renge - Blowing everyone’s minds at his job because he’s a good talker, especially with older people, and even had someone try to wed off his teenage daughter (hard no). - Renge somehow gets whatever she wants, and my brother is somehow able to make amazing deals happen to get just about whatever he wants. It’s a wild time.
