When we talk about Stonewall this month, let's not forget to talk about how the entire thing was sparked by the arrest of a butch transmasculine lesbian- Stormé DeLarverie, a mixed drag king, who fought back against the cop who was violently arresting her for crossdressing.

Drag queens and trans women deserve recognition for their role in the Stonewall uprisings, and so do butches & transmascs. We all fought for each other.

The Meaning Behind the Rainbow

In front of me was a storm, and behind me was a sunny sky. When the two coexist, a rainbow appeared.

In that moment, I had a sudden revelation on why the rainbow fits so well with the queer and autistic communities!

When you’re not straight, cis, or neurotypical, the world feels like a storm. You’re constantly trying to come to terms with your internal struggles and accommodate for external dangers, all the while striving to still be seen as a human being. On the other hand, as you learn more about yourself and find new ways to express yourself, everything gets a little brighter, leaving you a feeling of sunshine! In order to truly experience the rainbow, you need the storm and the sun. Otherwise, you’re left with an incomplete picture.

you’re still trans if you accidentally misgender/ deadname yourself sometimes

you are valid and don’t let anyone tell you you aren’t “really trans” because you don’t go through the “typical” trans experience
