I was shopping in Oxford Street a few weeks ago and while I was browsing John Lewis, I noticed an Elizabeth Arden pop up shop! At the pop up shop they were showing customers their new and bestselling retinol products. The lady hosting the space was amazing she talked me through all the products and gave me some samples of products to try based on my skin type. Currently these products are sold exclusively through John Lewis so let's chat about the products!
The first sample I was given was the Elizabeth Arden Retinol + HPR Ceramide Rapid Skin-Renewing Water Cream, £75.00. The lady first used this cream on my hand to show the radiance of my skin and then after hearing my skin concerns she said this cream would be a good match for me. This cream can be used as a day and night cream and is formulated with pure retinol plus HPR, a next-generation retinol, skin-firming peptides, moisture barrier-strengthening ceramides, plumping hyaluronic acid and skin-soothing botanicals. The cream is designed to hydrate, brighten, smooth and clarify skins texture. Now that is a lot of claims for a moisturiser but since it is a high end product and price range I would personally want it to do a lot for my skin if I'm paying £75.00.
The second sample was the Elizabeth Arden Retinol + HPR Ceramide Capsules Serum, x 60 Capsules, £83.00. I had seen this product all around tik tok and beauty blogs for a long time but have never seen the capsules in person. In a full sized bottle you get 60 capsule serums to use and the lady kindly gave me a few different capsules since there are different versions of the serum for different skin types which was so sweet of her! Though I feel like I would get more use out of a bottle of serum rather than capsules, the capsules are fun to open. This specific serum is meant to leave skin looking radiant and revitalised. The serum states that after one week of use , wrinkles and pores are visibly reduced, skin feels firmer, and tone and texture are improved. Each pre-measured capsule is formulated with a precise blend dose of pure retinol plus HPR, a next-generation retinol, moisture barrier-strengthening ceramides, skin-firming peptides, and soothing botanicals.
While I am so excited to try out these prouducts and use them I probably won't be buying the full sized products due to the price but it is fun to experiment wtih different brands an see what they have to offer. I am very aware that this brand isn't in everyone's price range but if you are interested as always all products mentioned are linked above.
Wanna know her secrets on how to look fabulous? well look no further xx
Carrot juice- She drinks carrot juice which contains vitamin c and a which can help with cell production.
Avocados -She adds avocados to her hair conditioner which leaves her hair shiny
Tea tree oil- She applies tea tree oil on her pimples which helps soothe irritated skin and kill bacteria.
Coconut Water- Being a Brazilian girl, there's no wonder she uses coconut water on a regular basis. She soaks her skin with cotton pads and ice cold coconut water to calm her skin. Coconut water in general does increase skin hydration and elasticity.
Purified/ bottle water:
Adriana does not play on her quality of water. She prefers bottle water or purified water which gentler on the skin compared to tap water and is said to keep the skin healthy.
Today we are chatting about a new edition to the Clinique Skincare family but before we chat new, we need to go back! For the past 6-7 years I have used the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm , £29.00 (white balm) as part of my routine to remove my makeup. It is the best skincare cheat because you can literally melt your makeup away and remove all your eye and face makeup in one step! Clinique decided to take my favourite product and make it even better so today we are chatting about the NEW Clinique Take The Day Off Charcoal Cleansing Balm (dark balm), £30.00 (that's right I typed Charcoal).
Like the original cleansing balm the Charcoal Balm is still a silky balm formula that gently dissolves makeup however now with detoxifying Japanese charcoal. It's a perfect makeup remover for dry, oily or combo skin. With it's new upgrade and ingredients besides removing your makeup, it also detoxifies and unclogs pores, helping clear dirt, oil, pollution, and other impurities.
The 2 new ingredients are:
Japanese charcoal: This purifying ingredient helps deeply cleanse and detoxifies pores
Safflower seed oil: Works efficiently to help break up natural oil found on skin, as well as dissolves hard-to-remove makeup. Rich in linoleic acid, this natural emollient helps leave skin feeling soft and nourished
It's the easiest product to use because it transforms from a solid balm into a silky oil upon application. Once you apply all over your face and your makeup has been removed by the oil, rinse off completely with warm water without leaving an oily or greasy residue behind. I have been using this product for a new weeks now and honestly I think I prefer it over the original. Besides removing my makeup flawlessly it, with the new ingredients it leaves my skin feeling so fresh , clean and flawless! Like I've said before I've been using it for a few weeks and when I'm applying my makeup the next morning my face still feels so smooth and fresh ready for a new day. It's crazy because I didn't expect to prefer something over the original cleaning balm so I am truly impressed!
If you want to try something new in your skincare routine I would really recommend trying this out. I have linked both versions of the cleanser above so you can find which version suits you best!
bad af skin day again and slightly less awful than yesterday mental health day so i’m making pizza and trying a pharmacy version of the viral hypochlorous acid spray because why not
We are starting December off with a viral skin care product I have been dying to try for a while now. Honestly around this time of year it is so tricky to get your hands on viral products. Today we are chatting about the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask , £24.00.
Personally I have never tried Caudalie products but always heard amazing things through other beauty bloggers. A few months ago their Instant Detox Mask was going viral on Tik Tok for giving every user a fresh glowy face so of course I had to try it myself. Before we get into my review let's chat details. This mask is designed to cleanses the skin of all its impurities, eliminates excess sebum and tightens pores, leaving your face looking fresh, clear and glowing. Personally I would have to agree with this description.
When I saw people using this mask on Tik Tok by the time the mask dried you could see all the impurities the mask pulled from the skin which personally blew my mind. The first time I used this mask I was in shock how much crap it pulled out of my skin. Considering I obsessively wash my face and stick to skincare I wasn't expecting it to make so much of a difference. After I applied the mask and waited 10 minutes, you could see when the mask dried how much it removed from my skin. It left my skin feeling so soft and fresh, I was honestly so impressed. Applying my makeup afterwards you could see how smoothly my makeup applied and the subtle glow it gave my skin which made my makeup look even better.
Moral of the story if you enjoy face masks you really need to try this yourself and feel how amazing it leaves your skin. I have linked the mask above since it always sells out really quick.
