They don't have the touch of humanity, they always feel as if he's more of an entity than human like us, though I do feel as if The newest Batman movie somehow shows that humanity through the scene where the people follow him as he's leading them with the sparkler thing

But, there's only so much emotion you can show through a character such as Batman, that's why I think we need to bring back robin

Not only is he essential to Batmans character development, but as well as his overall readability as a character. It gives him a more.... Grounded feel yk

Though the dark knight can live in the shadows, only robin can shine through with his red and yellow

Not anyone can be under the mask

Augh nobody understands how the spiderman is essentially born from sacrifice and loneliness. The reason he became spiderman in the first place was because uncle ben died.

He got his powers cause he went to the science fair alone/got seperated from the group tour and got bit by the spider. Sure peter has people, but thats it. Theyre people hes close to, those whom he can confide in, but no one truly understands the struggle, watching people DIE because you were too late, watching your girlfriend fall to her death because of YOU.

Having to sacrifice your mairriage to save your last only blood relative left, having been killed ans revived multiple times because your this universes sick little fun play thing. He has all these reasons to become a truly terrible person, yet he doesnt.

He doesnt get to be selfish.

Only time he really is selfish is when he gets the symbiote, which originally is supposed to amplify his emotions and his desires, and even then he was still helping others, even though he was percieved as 'going rogue'

EVEN IN THE ORIGINAL COMICS WHEN HE SIGNS UP TO BE JJJS PHOTOGRAPHER OF SPIDERMAN, ITS TO SELL PICS TO HIM TO HELP AUNT MAY W THE RENT !!!

The reason I like peter parker

I think spiderman as a whole is rather a symbol than a persona, like ANYONE can be under the mask

You just have to bear the responsibility that comes w it.

But peter parker is such a different person compared to spiderman

Hes plain, hes often more timid and soft spoken, hes nothing of great notability

But what makes him so appealing to me is because he CHOOSES TO BE SPIDERMAN

He actively makes the decision to go out every night and help people, and even when spiderman becomes more well recieved by the public, he still chooses to keep his identity hidden for the sake of protecting those he loves

He holds his tongue when flash bullies him, he has the restraint to keep his powers in check

Because becoming spiderman requires sacrifice, and peter parker is no stranger to it

Liking girls so I can be a tiktoker !!

Tbh I feel as whenever I scroll on social media I come across posts that either bordeline glorify and gentrify it while coming across as ignorant to queerness in general while also coming across posts that are so connivingly hateful and homophobic that it almost brings hate to a new meaning

Being gay has now become a normal thing due to social media, and I love it ! People now have access to likeminded creators while also having a better safe space

BL not only sexualizes gay men for the straight eye but paints harmful stereotypes for them as well.

This is also a common problem in wlw spaces as well, but its been fetishized and both extremes.

For one you have girls who say 'it must be so easy to date a girl !', or that when they have a lesbian or wlw friend they go 'do u think I'm hot ?', and then thered the straight men fetishizing wlw relationships or remarking that they just havent met the right guy

Queer women as a whole has been sexualized FOR DECADES, and a lot of lesbian films also tend to cater the male eye while trying to appear progressive. But those also tend to stereotype wlw relationships as tomboy and femme, yet again a victim of people pushing their heternomative standards on queer people 🤑🤑

Both of these is just eensy tiny bitty part of the iceberg, and these are complex issues that can't be discussed on one tumblr post

I havent even talked about the infantilazation of trans men and harassment of trans women

But I dont have personal experience nor enough knowledge so I will not attempt to touch it

Though the upsides certainly outweigh the downs, it still doesnt erase the sheer stupidity I see on that god forsaken app.

people forget that twilight was originally ostracized and isolated herself to studying, though she had friends in canterlot, even they acknowledge that she would rather study than be with them

we should bring back physical media

Don't get me wrong, I love my yummy ao3 fanfics, watching the devolution of twitter live, my compressed files on Spotify etc.

But as someone who now owns a CD player you better be you're right knee that I'm now going to dickride physical media like chicken jockey

This sounds pretentious I know but the sheer quality, the effort, the thought you have to put into even bringing the CD out and playing it makes the music more worthwhile, like I'm genuinely enjoying the process.

Even stuff like writing letters or buying your clothing IRL is now such a novel experience that we take it for granted

It feels like we're stuck in this vacuum of constantly moving forward instead of sitting back and enjoying life slowly. Like I wanna watch paint dry at the Sistine chapel yk, and not watch chatgpt generate it in seconds.

I wanna spend time enjoying life, rather than looking for the next best thing.

i think we a society have wholey ignored the beauty of granola

like, it's basically god's greatest gift to humanity after his worst curse....

I will discuss my hate for on it another post, but back to my beautiful and charming love, granola

It's breakfast, but instead of the dullness of oatmeal, the artificial sugaryness of regular cereal (I love it but tastes so... eh when soggy) its both healthy, good enough sweet where it's not overbearing and relatively remains crunchy when soaked in milk

Its a great alternative to chips, since there's trail mix which is basically salty granola and instead of yummy dried sweet fruit its salted. And if you're lucky you buy the ones with frozen yogurt chips or chocolate chips !

It's truly the best thing ever....

So abandon cereal 2025 AND LET GRANOLA REIGN SUPREME !
