The most beautiful phenomenon I've ever seen, is an alternation between movement and rest, sound and silence, it's the push and pull. It goes back and forth like a pendulum; in a balanced rythm; like a life creation process, like the song everybody likes, like the movement of plant leaves in the wind ...

It's hypnotizing.

Can we agree that in most cultures and languages across the world, the name used to designate the mother consistently contains the letter M?

What you believe are your personality traits... are actually just coping mechanisms.

Dig deeper.

Shed the layers.

Pay attention to how they treat and talk about other people.

You're not an exception.

They will probably treat you the same way in times of crisis.

One day, you'll realize your gut feeling was correct all along.

That you were right from the start.

They were never your friend, nor did they genuinely care about you.

You were merely a convenience, an unpaid therapist, and a source of validation for their shortcomings.

Human nature is so complex yet so disappointing when you hold your standards high.

I believe sanity is a spectrum.

I may not be the most comforting person, but I'll be the one shedding tears for you before I fall asleep.

When we're young, we think we're special and invincible...

Growing up is realizing that everything bad that happens to "others" can potentially happen to us too.

How funny to think that no one, absolutely no one, has ever been older than today. No one has lived an older age than now.

Appreciation is created out of boredom and boring moments

What a binge-eating episode looks like (from my own experience):

You are in your room, whether you're doing something or nothing, it doesn't matter.

The impulse kicks in. You don't always know when, where, or why it happens

Sometimes you don't even realize that it is happening.

Here you are in the kitchen. Inspecting every single corner.

You don't even consciously know what you're looking for, but you instinctively know what has the potential to bring relief.

Here's the chocolate bar. Perfect.

You start eating.

First bite, you LOVE it.

Second bite, you like it.

The third bite, you don't feel anything.

You become this soulless mindless flesh stuffing itself

Your mind leaves your body.

You have no control over what you're doing.

You just can't stop

You lose any sense of time or space.

The only thing that brings you back to reality is the absence of the chocolate bars.

Now you are left with pain and guilt in the stomach. And you would do anything to numb the pain which usually means repeating the same cycle over again.

Reflecting on my life made me realize that I always had an overindulgence tendency.

Like what kind of a 6-year-old kid watches 8 hours of TV a day while eating mindlessly?

It makes me believe that if I had drugs or alcohol available to me and no morals I would have been the worst female junkie in town

To all my fellows who tie their sense of self-worth with how productive or how considerably successful they are:

Not everybody thinks the same way you do. Some people don't even consider completing a single task yet they believe the world owes them everything.

Stop being harsh on yourself.
