Another characters-in-a-grey-void-and-game-screenshots post! I played the InZOI demo and loooooved it, I seriously hope the full game releases. I made my oldest OCs, Alyss and Trey, and it was so fun. I wanted to make more characters but the demo was timed and now I can't play it anymore :sob:

I was surprised by how much I liked the male options in the demo. Usually men are an afterthought in dress-up-y games but I seriously loved the fashion and options available. I LOVE this Trey design, I love his twiggy little legs. I did not catch his likeness in the first sketches I did, so I'll need to practice that.

SO, THE THING ABOUT NRU is that their faculty really does love the whole ‘get your hands dirty with practical application’ M.O. of learning. Which is cool—like, good, even, because staring at a book and memorizing things is so not useful NGL. There’s always something to be said for the first time you master a string of incantations that were serious gibberish on a page, but come out of you and into manifestation like, no sweat. Not to mention the rush of leaning back and knowing it’s All Up Here (like, in your head?) rather than having to start at it ceaselessly in a book, else hear it in recitations over and over.

Most of all, it can even be fun and enlightening. The best classes are, anyway.

Cater flings himself down onto the sofa in the Heartslabyul lounge, and pulls his laptop onto his knees. On his screen, he’s pulled up his transcribed notes (which—right, like, he knows he definitely did just go Yay, practical lessons, goodbye endless wrist cramps of notetaking! but that’s for things that are more do-y and cast-y, and this is something that’s a little more involved with reference material—but at least it’s the interesting kind and not just glyphs and spell orders). 

Anyway. His notes: they’ve been organized meticulously since class, because this assignment’s sort of major and Cater is really not in the business of messing it up. Considering that’s the other part of practical application—stepping away from the theoretical knowledge approach means there’s some actual consequences to what you’re casting out into the world. Usually that's a consideration about where you're hurling fire balls, or something. Today? It's all about people and their stories, and through them demonstrating an absolute mastery of the cosmos. 

Over the top of his laptop, Cater sets his sights on his current target. 

“Hey, Trey?” he calls, slouching down into the couch to get a little more comfortable. “You know that like, the astrology class notes can’t bite you, right? Can you just sit? I’m gonna get started here in a minute and you are totally throwing off the vibe by stalling around like that R-N.”

Absolute mastery of the cosmos being presented by, as it were, one personalized chart reading from top-to-bottom. The mark of all decent astrologers is the ability to explain the mysteries within the stars and their machinations. The assignment isn’t going to be a difficult one by any stretch—by now Cater has plenty of practice with this sort of thing, whether people have agreed or not—but it’s a little different to offer the chart reading up to somebody who isn’t already asking for one. 

(Difference being, Trey really is kind of doing Cater a favour, here. Yes, he totes could have gone and found someone who would be chomping at the bit to have their most inner depths laid out on the chart and scrutinized by the most capable eyes around. 

But he might have left this until the last minute, and the report on the analysis and write-up-slash-presentation on how the reading itself went may be due within like, 48-hours. So, when the going gets tough the tough get going—into the kitchen to pull their go-to guy into the fray with them, that is.

Trey really is dependable like that.)

Reaching across to drag the coffee table closer, Cater flops open the grimoire with his blank charts and then rearranges the rest of his notes around it. The set up isn’t, like, super ideal but TBH? He would rather be comfortable while they’re embarking in on this than sitting at one of the study tables in the lounges.

He had always figured the atmosphere would be kind of important to offering a good reading, and maybe if he had more time to prepare he would have figured out like… Incense, or something. Maybe some tapestries. Mood lightning. A white noise machine.

...In lieu of any of that, the lounge’s assortment of lamps and the semi-lukewarm tea he’s been working on for a few hours will have to do. The assignment never said it needed to be a luxury reading, after all.

More settled into his claimed space, now Cater finds the time now to turn a grin in Trey’s direction. “Unless you’re all nervous now about what your chart’s going to say?”

(This is where he’d lean in and teasingly insist It’s not toooo late to back out, if you’re nervous! and technically it’s not—but that assignment is due, and time’s ticking.

So if he wants an out, Trey can ask for one himself.)

I;ve been busy w/school and writing(smth non-twst & non-fanfic related) so I really didn’t have the time or motivation to write. Shark sounds exactly like my brother fr (as an example he was sleeping on the floor because staying at grandma's=floor beds, and he moved from his bed in his SLEEP to at least a few FEET away). Imagine he sleeps in his bed and wakes up outside his DOOR XD. And at sleepovers? Shark will roll EVERYWHERE. They would have to cage him in with pillows, and that STILL wouldn't be enough XD XD XD

Un organoid cerebral descrie un organ miniatural crescut artificial, in vitro, care seamănă cu creierul. Organoizii cerebrali sunt creați prin cultivarea celulelor stem pluripotente într-un bioreactor rotațional tridimensional și se dezvoltă pe parcursul lunilor. This is hella long, sorry not sorry.

Some days I think season 6 is my favorite season.

Tweek standing behind the other three at the SP sign will never cease to make me happy. <3

I hate ET because I think he's a creepyass little alien and I don't appreciate seeing him first thing in this episode. 😂

Okay but I love when Kyle's saying, "...to make ET more PC," he's doing little air quotes with his one hand, like:

Stan: "That's gay." Back when saying things like that was only mildly offensive and wouldn't cause riots.

I've never seen Saving Private Ryan, and I know that it's said that it can be really triggering for people who have actually been to war and everything and I don't want to diminish that in any way, but whatever I paused on here looks like some kind of nether realm squid ghost monster and it's amazing.

I love the progression of their expressions here: angry, unimpressed, concerned, and "why is this happening?!"

And they're all so excited for Star Wars, that's the cutest fricking thing! I would love to see Tweek and Craig watching Star Wars together, just try and tell me that wouldn't be adorable!

ALL OF THEM ARE SO MAD! I fucking love when Tweek gets the little angry eyebrows.

I will never ever not want to hug him whenever I see Tweek shiver like crazy while the other kids just stand perfectly still.

The message in this episode is actually so good though. "Movies are art and art shouldn't be messed with!"

"Yeah we could form a club that takes food stamps from poor people and then we could sell them back to the government for a profit!" Tweek’s face here is priceless.

Poor Tweek. There's kind of a pattern in these episodes where multiple times he tries to stand up for himself or walk away from the main kids, but Cartman bullies him into staying and it just breaks my heart. As opposed to Craig in the Pandemics who's just like, "Fuck this." And as much as I adore all of the S6 Tweek episodes, I'm really glad he didn't stay hanging out with them for any longer and that he went back to the group of guys that are actually his friends. <3

"I'm not, I'm not a team player!" 😭 That being said, I could listen to Tweek talk all day.

"You have to offer fabulous prizes if you want people to show up to your stupid crap!" is just the S6 version of, "More people will come if they think we'll have punch and pie!" 😂

Stan: "Tweek, you go make fifty hats." Look, okay, I don't hate Stan, all right, but what the hell dude, go make your own hats! Why would you give the anxious kid a big responsibility like that!? At least have Kyle help him or something. Like you say you need to get the gymnasium ready which means what, make a banner and set up some chairs? And you're telling me you couldn't have split up the making of the hats? Jesus Christ.

(Yeah, okay, I know, chill out, they're 8.)

I posted this on my Tumblr before, so I'm not going to do it again, but that TINY LITTLE SHRIEK THAT TWEEK DOES after his dad says his name. I just. Literally. Die. Of cuteness. Every single time. It's my favorite Tweek shriek of the entire show, hands down.

On another note, his bedroom is so empty in this episode compared to in Tweek x Craig! I wonder what changed between here and then.

Tweek being able to calm himself down with some meditation is honestly so cute. And look at his happy place! I would love to have this on a shirt or a bag or just like as a piece of art hanging on my wall or something.

Cartman's giant face showing up there. 😂 I remember the first time I saw this episode that actually startled me so much.

"I was up, all night, making hats! I only slept for an hour- and then I DREAMT about making hats! But I only made fifteen!" - This has been one of my favorite lines since forever. I make it my status on things a lot and then everyone asks me why I was making hats all night. 😂

I love Stan's expression here.

"I don't have nearly 1000 hats!" "They're gonna kick your ass, Tweek!" 😡😡😡

Look at this shot! It really looks like Stan is the only one remotely concerned about Tweek's well-being here.

We get so much of Tweek yanking on his hair in this episode. </3

The townspeople are literally so stupid. Good job, Skeeter.

Stan makes good speeches when he wants to. Although, you know, you shouldn't make promises without fully knowing what you're doing.

Only Tweek would think going on a TV show is terrible news. (Just kidding. I agree with you, Tweek.)

I've never understood the "1-2-3, dibs!! "Knee!" thing. Like I know what dibs is, but where I come from knees were never involved.

Typical Cartman. I feel so bad for Tweek, but I love when he looks down to see "Advocate of Toddler Murder" underneath him. Cartoon logic is the best logic.

There's also a lot of good Tweek shrieks here too.

"It's easy!?" "Yes... It is easy."

"We believe that films have to be taken away from people like Steven Spielberg and George Lucas because they're insane." The way Kyle matter-of-factly delivers this line kills me every time.

They honestly made SS and GL look so creepy. 😂

I like that Cartman's voice kind of cracks when he's like, "That's Steven Spielberg and George Lucas!"

Okay, full disclosure, when I first saw this I hadn't seen Raiders of the Lost Ark and I didn't get the big deal. 😂 But I do now!!!

"He...killed 23 babies in self-defense?" "Hat was attacked maliciously and unprovoked by a gang of babies in West Town Park. When that many babies get together they can be like pirahna!" 😂 I say this all the time.

Second time this episode Tweek tries to say no and walk away.

"People aren't that into you, Tweek. They find you kind of annoying." This is so meta because I remember people complaining all the time that Tweek was a one-note character and that he had nothing really to add to the show and I just want to say SUCK IT TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE BECAUSE LOOK HOW LOVED TWEEK IS NOW. Everyone who was on board the Tweek train from the very beginning say, "Cupcakes!" 😂<3

These kids, man. I love that it’s so easy for them to just get into all these places.

"Get it, Tweek!" "Huh-uh!" I love the way Tweek says no. But, I mean, AGAIN, he tries to say no and Cartman bullies him. I don't think he ever really wanted to be in their group in the first place. I think they picked him arbitrarily in Professor Chaos because they saw him as weaker than them, and then Cartman just didn't let him quit.

The little debate about melting his icy heart with a cool island song is also something I quote often. AND THEIR LITTLE OUTFITS! I love that Tweek's is green and pink! I don't know what the hell is going on with the sleeves on everyone else's though.

"Those rams can do to us what they will, Mr. Lucas." 😂

Oh, George Lucas. You were so close to being a hero.

Stan: "Fuck you Steven Spielberg!" I've watched this censored so many times that hearing it uncensored is so fricking satisfying.

Mannn, I miss when they used to throw live action "commercials" into the episodes like this. This also is from the time where I was like hella attracted to Trey Parker so seeing his face is always welcome. 😂

Oh my God, I'm always so proud of Tweek for talking to this huge crowd of people and trying to get them to help him! His little talking through his teeth, like, "We are not talking about Hat right now, okay?!" He's trying so hard!

"Oh God, I'm gonna have to do this myself! Oh, God!" just breaks my heart! YOU CAN DO IT, TWEEK! 13 seasons from now you'll have someone who helps you believe in yourself, just hang on!

Tweek with the bazooka, oh my gosh, always makes me so happy. I can't tell you how much I wanted him to just blow them all the fuck up the first time I saw this.

"All I want are my friends. Except for Cartman, you can keep him." YEAH, TWEEK!

I hate that Steven Asshole Spielberg manages to talk enough crap to make Tweek hesitate. He was so close! I wonder how he would have felt if he actually did it though, Maybe it's better he didn't? It might have made his anxiety worse if he actually blew people up now that I think about it.

Oh my God, okay, and I know that Hat is a terrible person and I want to clarify just in case, I do not think killing babies is funny, but just the way that baby crawls up the person's arm to avoid getting passed to Hat is always so so funny to me and I can never explain why.

Tweek being the only one to be appropriately horrified by the fact that Hat is being given a baby.

The ending of this episode is also so much better after actually seeing Raiders. 😂

Before he could even get up and out of bed, he heard footsteps coming in. It was his husband, and in his hands a trey with a simple chocolate cake on it. The man began to sing gently.

Parliamo di un altra serie che mi piace molto questa volta parliamo di The Oc e una serie che o amato fin dal primo momento, devo dire che se ci penso mi sento un po vecchia,la serie non solo e bella perchè parla della società delle persone ricche che sembrano perfette quando in realtà invece combinano sempre casini, parliamo anche della crescita di un povero ragazzo che nessuno credeva in lui, non solo adoro la sigla come fai a non cantarla e tutte le volte che viene trasmessa lo guardo sempre, in tutto sono quattro stagioni e devo dire che tutte e quattro non sono male, anche se la morte di Marissa e terribile mamma mia ti fa piangere come una bambina, poi anche la canzone in sottofondo Halleluja che e bellissima ma quella scena e cosi triste quindi posso dire che e stato un momento davvero triste, anche se il finale secondo me e stato perfetto devo dire che sono stati molto bravi. Parlando dei personaggi posso dire che mi piacciono un po tutti tranne tipo Trey il fratello di Rayan mamma mia adoro l'attore ma il personaggio fa davvero schifo infatti non mi piace per niente, parlando dei personaggi mi piacciono davvero tanto Seth adoro il suo personaggio come lui cresce come passa da un ragazzo introverso in uno che sa quello che vuole e adoro anche il rapporto che ha con Rayan loro due sono bellissimi e un meraviglioso rapporto ,mi piace anche Summer all'inizio sembra una donna antipatica ma invece poi cresce e toglie quel suo essere superficiale infatti poi decide quello che vuole, cresce e finalmente esce chi e veramente,un altro personaggio che mi piace molto e Rayan fin dal primo momento parliamo di un personaggio che sembra uno stronzo ma in realtà e solo un ragazzo che ha sofferto molto, amo come Sandy si prende cura di lui e alla fine diventa l'uomo che voleva essere infatti nella fine della serie lui aiuta un ragazzo che e nella sua stessa situazione ed e bellissimo come cambia, infine l'ultimo personaggio Marissa ho pianto come una bambina quando e morta e devo dire che in tutta la serie ha avuto dei problemi diciamo che non e stato facile e quando finalmente forse stava trovando il suo equilibrio viene uccisa chiedo scusa per gli spoiler comunque il suo personaggio e difficile da capire infatti gli autori con lei sono stati un po crudeli non e stata valorizzata come gli altri ma devo dire che c'è qualcosa che mi piace di lei e se veniva valorizzata meglio forse la capivano di più, verso la quarta stagione arriva un altro personaggio che adoro anche se all'inizio non e molto antipatica ma piano piano inizi ad amarla,mi piace molto e anche la sua storia con Rayan e molto bella forse lei e l'unica che lo capisce veramente,anche se per Rayan, Marissa era il suo grande amore penso che Taylor lo capisce meglio. Parlando di coppie cene sono un paio nel corso delle quattro stagione ma se devo dire  chi mi piace, posso dire che mi piacciono tre coppie tra tutti quanti, sono divise in tre diciamo classifiche la terza coppia anche se li adoro sono Taylor e Rayan loro insieme sono fantastici e lui lo capisce e insieme sono bellissimi ma per me e la terza posizione, la seconda posizione che mi piace molto sono Marissa e Rayan entrambi sono bellissimi e la loro storia e davvero complicata e posso dire anche un po tossica e triste ma insieme sono carini diciamo che Rayan e stato il primo che a amato per davvero Marissa, infatti lui la capisce per davvero anche se il loro finale non e stato bellissimo, infine l'ultima coppia che secondo me e alla prima posizione e Summer e Seth li adoro insieme sono cosi belli, sono divertenti e insieme riescono ad uscire le caratteristiche di tutte e due li adoro entrambi, infatti adoro anche il finale loro due insieme che si sposano, la loro storia e cosi perfetta e cosi bella ti fa sognare anche se lei all'inizio e troppo presa da se stessa e non lo vede per davvero invece lui la vede eccome e devo dire che lui capisce chi e lei per davvero, lui vede sempre chi e per davvero Marissa e lei alla fine finalmente lo vede infatti sono i miei preferiti anche se adoro molto Rayan e il mio personaggio preferito. Infine posso dire che la serie e bellissima se non l'avete vista vi consiglio di guardarla e davvero bella, purtroppo non la fanno in Tv ma potete guardarla in molti siti di streaming o su Prime li potete trovarlo se vi piace e vela consiglio davvero.

I am so sorry y’all. I will try to tone it down.

Somehow I completely forgot the first three or so chapters that were devoted to Sonya and Mikhail’s wedding... it was literally like I’d never read them before. But yay for the brief Romitri appearance! Also, still side-eyeing that Emily Mastrano wasn’t at Sonya’s wedding and Sydney couldn’t get a quick picture to bring back to Jill :(

I’m going to complain about timelines again: so end of last book they’re considering “hey what’s Thanksgiving going to be like for us” and then that’s completely skipped over and it’s like “hey what’s Christmas going to be like for us”... and I’m just ??? I guess no answers on the Thanksgiving front... also there wasn’t a single appearance by Clarence Donahue in this one. Which is really just telling about how much Sydney disappears from involvement with Jill except where it relates to Adrian. She’s going all over southern CA (apparently she makes at least four 4-hr long round trips in her investigating), and no mention is made of “hey, they now have another car that can take Jill to get her weekly blood”? Am I really supposed to buy that Sydney is able to even complete her homework at this point? Meanwhile the Angeline cheating timeline is completely bizarre... like we hear Angeline hit Trey on the head with a book, the next day (maybe two later) Eddie’s like “Angeline’s been going to all the basketball games” (despite the implication that she didn’t start until after she developed a crush on Trey), and I’m really just lost. And Sydney’s leaving the school campus everyday on covert missions and really just has absolute run of the place.

That being said, this book does have some of my favorite jokes- the Alpha Yam Epsilon frat and the shirts Adrian made for him and Sydney (with his skeleton pirate making a comeback, and the introduction of the fiery heart). Hopper the bunny, then Calistana (I maintain, though, that Ivashkinator is a weaksauce car name for the Mustang- granted, Sydney had a lot of stuff on her plate). The “Pie and Stuff” restaurant... yum. And it’s a wealth for fan-artists, I would think, with both their shirts and then Sydney’s new cross and the protection amulets Jackie makes her. Also, for all that we never get real Sydney & Lissa interactions, Richelle really did make them similar and Hopper is only a further demonstration of that, associating both characters with dragons (though honestly Jackie was out of line having Sydney summon a demon... she’s lucky Hopper’s the cutest).

I was reminded that I really don’t like Wolfe (the whole “wasn’t his eyepatch over the other eye last time” gimmick and his fake stories, and even though Richelle hasn’t done “pair the spares” with him and Jackie yet, I remember it’s coming. This is the point in the books where it started taking gimmicks and fun-having a bit too far... like Legends or Legacies, where I wish Richelle’s editors had reined it in a bit. Also, frustration central for me: I don’t particularly like Marcus or Ian (who I feel like definitely gets character-assassinated after his appearance in LS). But Sydney (and Jill too) and the absolute disdain for these guys... while she’s fallen head over heels for Adrian who is just as obnoxious/flippant/passive/objectifying as either of them... it floors me. And then Sydney gets her tattoo “broken” and she immediately, no thoughts, head empty, calls Stanton to throw an ill-advised hissy fit (and the framing that she primarily cares about Jill’s safety for Adrian’s sake that is thrown in there)... it assassinates the character I started falling for in Blood Promise.

It doesn’t help that Alicia is the most transparent “surprise!” villain in either series. Granted, I knew it was coming, because that part I did remember, but when Sydney at the end is like “we were so careless, thinking Veronica was working alone”: YES YOU WERE! Adrian gave her your actual number and she got his car license plate. You went back to the inn, let your protection amulet slip to have sexy times, and then lost your cross there (after which you immediately had a menacing dream, after losing the most personal possession you had)... the main characters come off as Daft Central. Those main characters being Sydrian and Jackie, with disappointingly little from anyone else, except for Jill occasionally being a brat (much as I normally love her) over Sydney rejecting Adrian.

This one has occasional pages I love, but most of it just frustrates me...

Note about ages if they adapt this series, since I completely forgot to address it in the last one: honestly, just let Sydney be one of the dorm monitors as casually mentioned in GL; enroll her at Carlton under the cover of a part-time student finishing an education degree (history-centric), and Amberwood is her “practicum” type experience; meanwhile she has to do an independent history study with Terwillinger, who is faculty at both Amberwood and Carlton already; instead of rooming with Jill in the first book, Jill is actually roomed with Kristin and Julia, but because of her nightmares, Sydney often ends up letting Jill stay in her room; I have more thoughts about the Sydney actually finally getting to be a college student, but it not being “real” or her desired experience... but I’m not going to go into it here- the major point is she already acts like an adult supervisor to all the other characters, so just admit it rather than “18 yr old goes to high school” (especially when she’d probably end up older in the show and it’s then creepy that she’s going out with Brayden)

The new guidelines seem tame enough on the surface, but Twitter left open the potential for deplatforming the #Resistance’s favorite target. While “direct interactions with fellow public figures, comments on political issues of the day, or foreign policy saber-rattling on economic or military issues are generally not in violation of the Twitter Rules” at the moment, they can get a belligerent world leader’s tweets placed in a no-man’s-land where they cannot be replied to, liked, or shared, Twitter warned. Twitter Clarifies Their Rules Everything we do starts with an understanding of our purpose and of the service we provide: a place where people can participate in public conversation and get informed about the world around them. We assess reported Tweets from world leaders against the Twitter Rules, which are designed to ensure people can participate in the public conversation freely and safely. We focus on the language of reported Tweets and do not attempt to determine all potential interpretations of the content or its intent. Presently, direct interactions with fellow public figures, comments on political issues of the day, or foreign policy saber-rattling on economic or military issues are generally not in violation of the Twitter Rules. However, if a Tweet from a world leader does violate the Twitter Rules but there is a clear public interest value to keeping the Tweet on the service, we may place it behind a notice that provides context about the violation and allows people to click through should they wish to see the content. We announced this in June.
