YOKAİ AU

First of all, I would like to point out that this au is not my original idea and that I have elaborated this au to my liking. THIS AU IS NOT MY ORIGINAL IDEA. There is some information in the au that comes out of the general yokai au route. for example, the most obvious distinction is in the red thread that symbolizes the bond between acquaintances. Since this is a blood bond, it will not change color depending on the dormitories (which means that malleus and lillia will have green ropes, octavinella will have blue ropes, and all others will have red ropes). while the length and thickness of the rope will vary, given that not all yokai will follow the customs, the ropes symbolizing the bond of acquaintance will not only be on the neck. i will also change the yokai type of some characters.

the list of questions and requests on this subject is open (don't mind that there are only heartslabyul characters below. You can ask questions to all characters, including all characters other than NRC). After browsing the list of rules, I am waiting for your requests and questions. uhhh drawing yokai's cliché tops is so boring>:( but riddle doesn't look like the type to wear casual clothes.I don't want to go out of character. But at the same time i don't want to draw him in this top. hmmmm

He was summoned to the world by a woman who was his doctor. And he is now the head of heartslabyul, which is generally very secretive. Unlike other nrc stamped places, they have big gardens, but the places where they live are quite small (except sanaclaw, they don't have a single place where they live. they hang out randomly). He is a rule-bound oni. He is nervous and irritable. How strange and annoying that he never gets angry around us. I wonder if talking on the phone or texting would work to make him angry.

A rather calm bear yokai. Once upon a time there was a family of bears, but they could not turn into a yokai. He willingly joined heartslabyul after the incident. Although there is no obligation to act as an assistant, he continues to help the riddle and other heartlabyul residents on this matter. So he is quite ordinary (!) It's as ordinary as a yokai could be. (L ying, that grass-haired guy doesn't have a way to be normal. As Idia says.he's an ultra-quiet helper. Gives the same air as Jade.)

 Disclaimer: I am just a casual genshin player who don’t read its text lore too much nor an expert of having builds for DPS and such. This headcanon is just based on what I think they would have, idk how DPS, and support characters works)

Summary: What if TWST characters are in the world of Teyvat or the Twisted Wonderland works similarly to the world of Teyvat with their own visions (specific element) and  weapons as if they’re regular civilians in that world or both Teyvat and Twisted Wonderland merged into one.

Let’s say our twisted wonderland cast aren’t students but rather mere civilians living their lives. A culture of different sophisticated parties, the home of tea and pastries, the art of theater and the land of justice ruled by the Hydro Archon, Focalors.  Just like in the Twisted Wonderland plot where Yuu first met the Heartslabyul. This is Yuu’s first country to visit.

Trickster Knight of Hearts

Ace Trappola is a rookie soldier in the Queendom under Rosehearts’ platoon. He’s very laid back as a soldier but can be responsible at times when there’s immediate danger or if there’s a senior nearby. He is the very first person Yuu met on their journey. He came across the duo after he got a report of a monster cat stealing a Strawberry tart.

 He caught Grim but Ace had enough temptation to eat it and so he did. Grim complained and Yuu caught the act. Ace, Yuu and Grim formed a mutual alliance to keep it a secret. They had a truce that Ace had to lie to the baker that the monster cat got away and Yuu to not tell anyone that he ate the tart or else his superiors will know.

♠ Deuce Spade♠

Knight of Spades and Cauldrons

   Rarity: ★★★★    Element: Cryo       Weapon: Claymore       Support Type: DPS  or Sub DPS

Deuce Spade is also a rookie card soldier from the Queendom but unlike Ace, he’s a serious soldier who followed the strict laws of the country. He met Yuu and Grim when he caught them talking secretly with Ace in the back alleyway.  He may be one of the enforcers of the law but he did know how the mind of a criminal and a rule breaker works since he was once one of them.

As a former delinquent trying to reform, despite being just a rookie, He’s the bad cop while Ace is the good cop in their partnership. He is capable of interrogation and swearing if he’s in a pissy and angry mood about it, for example if someone caught his nerves. 

Despite his newfound camaraderie with Ace, Yuu and Grim. He really can’t refuse his commander’s orders resulting to him being the one that spilled the beans and reports about the incident.

♦ Cater Diamond♦

Knight of Shuffled Faces

  Element: Water         Weapon: Catalyst       Support Type: Enabling, 

Cater Diamond is Ace and Deuce’s senior in the workforce. He works as a spy for the Queen of Roses with his specialty magic of making multiple doubles of himself. Like Ace, he’s pretty much laid back. He’s someone that you always see at the bar at night having a drink at some party. You would find him tending the rose gardens during his free time.

Cater is the Kaeya of the group. He’s pretty neutral to be honest and once hits on Yuu at their first meeting. When Riddle finds out about the truth about Trey’s stolen tart, he’s the one that helped Ace, Yuu and Grim find fake evidence and gather intel for their supposed innocence. 

♣Trey Clover♣

Knight of Sweet Roses

  Rarity: ★★★★★ in Standard Banner   Element: Dendro          Weapon: Claymore         Support Type: Healing, Battery, DMG-Boosting

Trey Clover is Riddle’s right hand man in the platoon. He’s very approachable and understandable. He’s the only one to calm Riddle down and the mediator between Riddle and his men. For example, the card soldiers would always approach him to file and receive reports instead of going directly to Riddle. 

Even though he’s childhood friends with his commander, he also has his secrets that he kept in regards to his relationship with Riddle. In truth, he really doesn’t want to be part of the Queendom’s military but he did due to his worry for Riddle’s wellbeing. In fact, he has a deep passion for baking.

It was Trey’s family bakery that was involved in Ace’s trial. Although he finds it ridiculous about the simple tart robbery that Ace and Grim got involved in. He was the one that insisted that Yuu would stand up as Ace’s lawyer, although Yuu have any legit credentials for it. With Cater’s help and his connections since he’s so popular,  Cater and Trey assisted Yuu for evidence and credentials in the trial. 

🌹Riddle Rosehearts🌹

Riddle Rosehearts is the adopted prince and head commander of the card soldiers for the queen of roses. He is a strict and unapproachable commander who finds difficulty in talking to his peers. The only people he would talk to are his mother, Trey and Cater. He doesn’t mind this since in his ideology, as long as they do things right, that’s what matters.  

Upon hearing the tart incident from Deuce. Even if it was just a common robbery of tarts, Trey’s family wasn’t the one that held the grudge but it was in fact Riddle.

“Will doesn’t need a relationship to be happy”.

This is something I’ve seen people throw out there as to why Byler shouldn’t have to end up together for Will to have a happy ending and that anyone who says otherwise is reducing Will’s character to his sexuality. I think it needs to be addressed why that view is simply ignorant.

First off, I don't care that Will is gay. Will Byers became my favourite character back in the first season when he had a total of like fourteen minutes of screen time. I enjoyed watching the cast's reactions to his absence, and the goodness of his character shown in the flashbacks we see. I remember thinking "how impactful he must've been on these characters' lives for his absence to drive the story for an entire season," and the more I got to know him in subsequent seasons, the more I liked him. So, when it was teased, implied and ultimately confirmed that Will was gay, I couldn't care less. His sexuality didn't change how I felt about him in any way, but it did change how his narrative could be perceived.

Will being gay is a core part of his identity. If Mike and Will were not the intended endgame couple, the duffers wrote themselves into a corner by how they handled Will's sexuality, because of the message they are giving by committing to that representation. Will being gay is not the problem. Will being gay, canonically in love with Mike, and willing to sacrifice his own feelings for a heterosexual relationship is the problem.

I, personally, am a big fan of "don't need to be in a relationship to be happy" endings. In fact, it's what I'm hoping for with El, and if season four had been handled differently, I would like it for Will too, but the fact of the matter is, that's not what happened. They built up Will's feelings for Mike over several seasons, even despite the distance (both figuratively and literally) between them in between seasons, and now they have to commit because the truth of the matter is, gay people do not have the same representation straight people have in media.

A heterosexual character could go through the exact same romantic arc as Will and still not end up in a relationship without it feeling like a cop-out simply because there is a lot more positive heterosexual representation than there is gay representation. It is essential to understand that there is a difference in the message being sent simply because of the character's sexuality. Whereas the heterosexual character's journey's message would end up being "sometimes it doesn't work out, but that doesn't make the love felt any less profound," the gay character's journey's message would instead come across as "a same-sex romance is not as profound as an opposite-sex romance." Will, especially, in the van scene, where he used his own feelings to promote El, would be telling the story of how the best a gay character could offer would be to sacrifice their own feelings.

Now, I'm not gay. Despite being ace (♠/♢), I don't even consider myself to be a member of the LGBT+ community (not that there's anything wrong with identifying as LGBT+ if you do share my sexual identity). But I understand the importance of good, and positive, representation of LGBT+ characters in media, as well as the damage bad representation, whether intentional or otherwise, could cause.

And ignorance is not a sin. I wouldn't disparage someone for not understanding the implications, but willful ignorance on the other hand is different. You don't have to ship Byler, but you should understand why the ship is important and why it not being endgame would be so devastating even after it's been explained to you.

[Y/n] guessed it was gonna happen, well.. Eventually at least. When she first blinked and found herself suddenly facing the sea, behind her being an entire forest where a small cottage resided. She lived fairly well after the initial confusion, being adopted by a sweet little grandpa and a warm-hearted grandma who lived alone. Their blood-related children were surprised at the abrupt appearance of [Y/n], though quickly warmed up to the woman.

She had a suspicion that it was the anime series, 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙋𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚, that she suddenly appeared in. Though her suspicion solidified when her eyes caught sight of a wanted poster, one of the characters she favored most being one of them. With the same hat on his head and the same grin she grew fond of....... Ace

(E/c) colored eyes stared at the piece of rough paper, stuck and pinned to the villages bulletin board. It was delivered by the news coo just this morning and had been pinned there by one of the villagers, probably..

Ace's bounty poster and the fact that her adoptive grandpa gifted her a den-den mushi.. A very ugly one at that.., further proved that she was correct. She is in the world of one piece, and thus, she has to make a decision. Sacrifice her domestic life here on Sail Island, or assist the main characters in their troubles, while also saving other characters as well?

She doesn't know, if she suddenly became a widely known figure in this brutal world, it would bring more danger to her, her adoptive family and this island. Where she made new memories.. Made new friends.. Met new people.. Had a break from the suffocating environment of the real world she believed she'd be pulled back to.

But alas, every good thing had an end, right?. The day she'd embark on a journey to someplace else, possibly trying to find the crew or just to find her own adventure, would mark a new chapter in her life here. And she'd wait for it, with an open mind and sweet smile. Although she hadn't considered the possibility of the crew themselves coming on her island, it was a surprise but it was nice..

They rarely ever saw her as well, staying cooped up in her temporarily shared room with Nami, that or she was sitting in the crows nest, near Nami's tangerines or somewhere else the crew has yet to find her in.

Getting knocked out and sacked on the head was more painful than you imagine, [Name] groaned as she had the ugly hat ripped off of her. Blinking as she opened her eyes, '𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩.. 𝘔𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘬' [Name] whispered to herself, body forcefully shoved into a kneeling position as she raised her head. Quickly meeting gazes with an 8ft tall beast.

Crocodile was intrigued, humming as he slightly tilted his head down. Taking note of the blank expression the woman had, even after being kidnapped. Soon crouching down, arms on his knees as he raised his hook up to [Name]'s chin. Tilting the girls head up.

"They really took you in? " He asked, towards not [Name] but towards Robin, the woman confirmed, hand on her hip as she stared down at [Name]. The younger woman moving her gaze over, the same stoic expression still present. "Do tell, why they let someone as feeble as you on their ship? " the man asked. Now to [Name], receiving only silence in return.

Finding himself amused at the woman he stood up straight and turned his back to the kneeling girl, speaking to Robin as he walked out of the room. "Make her spit out everything she knows about'em. Do whatever you want after" he said. Leaving behind Robin, who turned her head towards [Name] before dropping the grin she wore. Soon following Crocodile out.

When [Name] was dragged into a room, she didn't expect Mr. 3 to walk in, overflowing with determination. After trying to make her snitch on the crew, he walked out, frustrated as he slammed the door shut. That was shorter than [Name] had expected it to be. Admittedly, she had poked fun of him, which he didn't like.

She doesn't wanna recall it, but a lower agent approached her, snaking his hands on where they weren't supposed to be and ended up with a broken nose. Getting infuriated as he commanded some Barouqe workers to feed her to the Bananawani's. Mocking the woman when she squirmed in the hold of two men, soon finding herself attempting to hold her breath long enough.

⟬↦ [NAME] POV ↤ ⟭

I forced myself to keep it in my lungs, struggling to keep it that way as my vision blurred. Dark spots appearing before enlarging. Should I have stayed on my island? Should I have refused their offer to join? But I couldn't.. Not when he looked at me and expected my answer to be yes.

I found myself letting go of my breath when I noticed a silhouette appear above the water, an agitated look on his face as he turned away and shouted. It was Crocodile.. But if being caught by him was a way to get out of this place then I'd rather be imprisoned by him than being surrounded by ugly crocodiles. Or were they alligators?.. I don't care. But I did care when my vision went black and I felt water being moved, feeling a big snout on my back pushing me to the top of the water.

I'll rest for a bit, it'll be fine.. No matter what, me being here wouldn't have a big effect of what will happen.

Crocodile grinned at the sight of Luffy reaching out to him with a sneer, only to fall limply to the floor as the Sea prism stone took affect. Getting annoyed at the repeated sound of metal clashing with metal, soon slightly shouting at Zoro that his actions wouldn't result to anything. Causing the swordsman to scowl at him.

I'm skipping most of the parts so yeah, after a while of chatting with the warlord, Vivi came bursting in, shouting at the taller man before attacking him. Least to say his head exploded into sand surprising everyone, Vivi was soon pushed down to the ground where Crocodile looked down on her.

Her eyes went wide with shock as she stared at the sight in front of her. The crew had not yet seen it, with how Vivi was thrown to the opposite side and with the table cloth and Chair obscuring their view. The caged hostages flinched when Vivi suddenly shouted out a name, a name the crew was horrified to hear.

"[NAME]!!"

Crocodile grinned, getting off the table Vivi had once stood on and kicked the chair away. Revealing a sight the crew hated to see, [Name] was on the ground, back turned towards the cage the crew and a singular marine was in. Her hands on display in front of their eyes, held together by sea prism stone.

She was 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 in water, hair clumping together as the liquid was yet to dry, clothes damped and sticking to her body, even worse? 𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥, the red liquid was puddled around your stomach, drenching the woman's shirt as she laid there, limp as Vivi placed her hands on the woman's shoulder, the other hand pushing back hair that covered her face. Only to be more mortified as she saw dried blood from your lips down to your chin.

"Patched her up, irritated one of my lackeys and made them stab her in the gut. Stupid woman, doesn't know when to do as she's told." Crocodile said, talking through the cigar he had in his mouth. This was their first mistake, had they not left you maybe you would've been safe, maybe you wouldn't have been stabbed.

[Name] opened her eyes to see Vivi crying, biting her lip as she held back a sob. The woman could faintly hear the crew shouting profanities at Crocodile, even though he did nothing wrong.. Well... Besides kidnapping you of course, it was mainly Luffy, Nami, Sanji and Zoro that cursed at Crocodile, any other voices she couldn't comprehend anymore. Realizing she'd be a dead weight to the crew and their escape as well as their plan to save Alabasta, the bleeding woman frowned closing her eyes as she thought to herself.
