Note
I've seen a lot of Danny being Ellie's dad but where is the Pariah Dark adopts this sassy ghost child that beat him in a duel and is now prince because why not adopt the overpowered child. Which leads to the JL fighting Danny for whatever reason and when he calls for help he calls his new dad and oh shit is that the Ghost King
Danny was with Sam and Tucker in the Ghost Zone when three seven-man squads of ghost knights found him. They had found an empty island near the portal that they had made into a makeshift training ground so he could safely practice his powers.
The most recent fights had shown him that he was only winning because of his quick thinking and adaptability that tricked his enemies, but he needed to get better if he ever wanted to prevent an incident like the ones at Axion labs from ever happening again.
He couldn't afford to create another arch-nemesis. Plus his good luck and clever mind could only get him so far if his body couldn't keep up.
He was in the middle of shooting the rays from the various drones Tucker set up when the knights landed on his island. Their metal clacking with each step they took, marching away from their skeleton winged horses.
At once, Danny flew between the ground, feeling more than seeing his friends scrambling for their weapons as he raised his fists.
"Who are you?" He demanded, watching the other squads surround them. Tucker and Sam spun around, each pressing up against his back in a makeshift triangle.
The hum of their ghost guns echoed through the air as the knights continued their marching until they had formed a circle around the three.
I don't like this. Danny thought felt his own ecto-ray heating up in his palms. They look oddly familiar. Where have I seen those armors?
The knights all, simultaneously, dropped to one knee, surprising the three teenagers. They bowed their heads, and even the winged horses followed suit,
"Prince Phantom." The one right in front of Danny said, "We have come as your formal escort to your Father's keep. He demands your presence."
"My Dad?" Danny repeats, voiced, laced with doubt. , "My Dad sent ghosts to escort me home? Do I look stupid to you?"
"It is not your sire, Jack Fenton, I speak of," The Knight explains, voice still respectful even when staring at the ground. Danny can't see his eyes or any of the other knights, as they are hidden in the shadows of their helmets. "I speak of the Ghost King, Pariah Dark, who has chosen you are his Heir. You are summoned to complete the adoption process."
"Yeah, that's going to be a no from me." Danny deadpans, even if his insides have turned to ice. Pariah Dark was resealed, Danny personally made sure of that, so why was this guy speaking as if he was back?
"Apologies, my Prince, but you do not have a choice," declares the other, and almost as if that was a cue of some kind, the other knights rise from their knees. They descend on the trio faster than Danny was expecting.
He ducks and waves as three different fists fly to his face, reaching down to aim an uppercut at the one on his right. It lands with a clack and a sting in his knuckles as the helmets odd shape as some protection to the chin
Shaking out his hand, Danny is not prepared for the kick to his side that sends him flying.
He lands in a heap but is quick to get back to his feet as rope is lassoed around one of his wrists. He gapes at it as another knight, quickly throws on to his other arms and suddenly he's being tugged in two different directions.
Summoning his ice, Danny has it travel down the ropes towards the knights, who drop it just as the ice would have encased their hands. Freed, Danny, leaps back as a flying kick paces mere inches from his face and has to quickly raise his hands to block an ecto-ray to the chest.
"Do not harm the Prince!" The leader barks "Capture the humans, he will go willingly if we have hostages!"
Danny swings his head towards Sam and Tucker, who have been forced up against a wall, shooting desperately at the advancing knights. Their shots are being knocked away by flowing swords, and it was obvious their movements were slowing down.
Despite the many fights they have helped in a fight, neither Sam or Tucker could outlast a ghost. Their stamina was superior, and sadly, it seemed these particular ghosts also had training under their belts.
"No!" Danny moved to help but just as he turned his eyes away from the Knight Leader, a bubble of ectoplasm exploded in his face.
"I told you not to harm the Prince!" Someone roars over the sound of ringing in his ears. Hands fell on all his limbs holding him down, even if he weakly tried to shake them off. Everything is spinning, though, and his vision is blurring in and out of focus. He sees Sam fall to the ground with Tucker screaming something he can't make out before Danny is left up and dragged away.
There is a weight around his wrists and ankles, indicating he's been tied up, but Danny can barely keep his head from bobbing to the side. He had no energy to attempt to break his bonds.
He knew no more as he was thrown into a carriage, the block dots in his vision taking over completely.
Three years later, Danny is overlooking the development of a ghost colony in a far-off corner of King Pariah's empire. This colony was made entirely of former slaves whom Danny fought his adoptive father tooth and nail to free.
Pariah moods were odd. He controlled everything Danny did, but he also wanted Danny to take his own stances on how the empire should be run. The Ghost King's control had expanded to nearly all corners of the Ghost Zone, breaking and tearing apart any resistance they found.
War had broken out as ghosts from various tribes and kingdoms fought desperately to keep their freedom. Pariah saw no challenge in their attempts, crushing anyone that stood in his way.
His aim was to once again rule all over the dead, and later, once every ghost bowed to his whim, invade the living world again but this time there would be no Halfa child to stop him.
Said Halfa that was now heir of the tyrant. Everyone knew about the kidnapped Prince, as his tale was told in resistance meetings both in pity and in rage.
Prince Phantom's iconic white hair and green eyes were just as widely known as his golden collar was. It was created by King Pariah, to keep the prince in the area by an invisible fence he set up. Should Prince Phantom attempt to fly or walk out of those areas, the collar would turn into flaming chains, yanking the prince back. It wouldn't burn him, thankfully, but it would drag him roughly.
It didn't help that the collar stopped Prince Phantom from accessing his powers. It was almost like he was a full human, except he was trapped in his ghost form and in the Ghost Zone, which meant his options were far more limited than normal.
He was more of a royal hostage than an actual heir.
Even out here, while overlooking reports and listening to testimonies, Prince Phantom could not leave the tower of the newest colony. At all times there was two guards that followed him and limited his movements too.
Despite his position, the Prince did everything he could to protect the people, tales of him jumping to a servant's defense against his father, advocating for the abolishment of slavery, and even offering to serve any punishment for any ghost child. The people loved their prince, and all wanted to one day see him free as well.
Rumors had it that the leaders of the main resistance were two humans who were desperately trying to free Prince Phantom, but since everyone in the rebellion's army's identity remained secret, no one knew how true those rumors were.
Danny unrolls a scroll, sighing at the numbers. "If nothing is done about the harvest, the people will starve come winter. We need to start rationing. Take whatever you need from my own supplies before we start applying it to the people."
"My Prince, we couldn't possibly ask that of you. Already, you granted us freedom and a home. ," Started the mayor of the colony, only to stop at the sight of a large magical circle forming around the prince. Danny's eyes widened as well, feeling his collar start to glow as whatever it is attempt to yank him away.
He feels it start to crack as the magic overpowers the collar's settings. Hope flares in his heart as his guards leap to their feet. Before they can so much as come near him, the mayor throws himself at them with a roar. "Run, my Prince! I shall buy you time!"
Danny is swallowed by light before he can respond, the collar left behind to clatter against the floor. He is flung through a portal made of multiple colors, so bright and blinding he has to close his eyes and hold his hands in front of his face. He lands with a startled yelp, but his hands fling to his neck.
When all he feels is flesh, tears burn his eyes sight as he sobs. He's free. He's finally free.
"Well, this isn't what I was expecting when I offered a piece of my soul" An accented voice hums, drawing attention to a group of oddly dressed strangers. A man in a trench coat lights a cigar, the glow casting his face in a dim light as he stares down at Danny with a detached appraisal glint in his eyes. "Tell me, why did my spell bring me a child when I asked for a champion to overthrow the Ghost King?"
Danny's ice core starts to slowly freeze the room over, his breath visible as his eyes harden. "It brought me here because I am going to kill my father."
"Prince Phantom" Trench coat man identifies with some relief. "A pleasure to finally meet you. This is the Justice League and they like to lend a hand in your parricide."

After defeating Pariah Dark, Phantom -High King of the Infinite Realms- joins the JL or YJL.
Danny is a great addition to the team, he’s surrounded by other people with powers (even if they didn’t have to die to get them), he doesn’t have to hide who he is. Nobody is hunting him anymore. The Anti-Ecto acts have been abolished and so has the GIW. He can still help people but the pressure isn’t just on him anymore. His parents accept him. Danny is happy.
But one day, one fateful day…
Pariah rises again.
The magic users are scrambling. The JL and YJ are frantic. Danny is…
Pretty calm, actually. A little annoyed, perhaps.
That kinda tracks. He’s the high king of the infinite realms and all the dead. He’s defeated Pariah before- and now he’s older, more experienced, with a team that he’s never had before. He’s explored his powers and authority to an extent his past self could only dream of.
So when Pariah Dark, former Tyrant of the Dead, storms the watchtower where the heroes have gathered, they’re a little off-put by it but ready to defend their home with all their might- a newfound confidence from Phantom’s nonchalance.
But who would’ve guessed that Pariah Dark, former Tyrant of the dead, would ask Phantom..
If he could adopt him?
Danny guessed, it seemed.
“No.” Danny glared at him.
“I can give you-“
“I don’t want anything from you, you frootloop. Piss off.” Danny said pointedly, tapping his foot impatiently.
“I can offer you wisdom to lead your kingdom that you won’t find anywhere else!” Pariah said exasperated, waving his arms around.
“I don’t want a tyrant’s advice.” Danny sneered. The rest of the heroes exchanged glances. This certainly wasn’t on anybody’s bingo card.
“Alright, that’s fair, but-“
“Ive been ruling my kingdom just fine. Piss off.” Danny jabbed a finger at him. “I will eat your core if you ask again.” Pariah paled, (as much as a ghost could), then grumbled about getting him eventually before finally, finally leaving in a swirling, neon green portal.
Danny left in one of his own, after bidding goodbye to the rest of them. Nobody wanted to ask what that was about. He seemed pissed.
.
A little while later, the heroes finally got around to processing what exactly happened that morning.
The.. former king of the dead, known tyrant, the one who Danny defeated.. came back to ask??? If he could adopt Danny???? Again???? As in he tried asking before????????
There was much pandemonium for the heroes that fateful day.

I just really like the trope of Danny getting summoned, alright?
——
After he shoved Pariah Dark in his coffin shaped locker what what Danny hoped to be for all of eternity, the half unfortunately inherited all of Pariah’s responsibilities.
“What was it again? With great powers comes great responsibilities?” Danny let his head hit the table with an audible thunk. He’s in his “office,” the ghost zone’s approximation of where he might be able to do work seriously. The house- the extension of his haunt- had added the room right next to his bedroom. Danny had to lift all of the paperwork from Pariah’s castle (that’s now also a part of what’s considered Danny’s but he doesn’t think about that) and move it to his main haunt.
He prayed to the universe at large to let him off. Danny hated doing homework- science not withstanding because at least he understood that- let alone an asshole’s centuries worth of work. Danny bemoaned the fact that he was elected the King. He didn’t even defeat Pariah all by himself, so why couldn’t the others do it?!
Like a wave of merciful fate, the beginning tugs of a summoning pulled at his core.
“Thank Ancients!”
Danny scrambled to grab a sticky note, unfortunately glowing green as things tended to in the Ghost Zone, and scribbled down that he’s been summoned and to not look for him until his vacation work was done.
With that note done, Danny decided to bring his A game to the summoning. Allowing his secondary form to wash over him, Danny quickly checked the mirror to make sure he was presentable. A bright glowing ice crown- not the crown of fire, because it was essentially useless without the ring and Danny wasn’t keen on being a king, let alone a near infinitely powerful one- settled across his brow showed his status. A cape, this form’s best feature, made of an expanse of galaxies, nebulae, and frost cling at the end was swept over his shoulders and pinned together with a cloak pin made of clusters of black holes.
A couple of additions to his normal hazmat suit and his trusty thermos at his side, Danny all but dove into the summoning magic with an excited whoop of glee.
As Danny got closer to the magic-made portal, he could hear the whispers of the living presences beyond it.
His summoners! Hopefully it’s not a cult again, even if he thought they were pretty funny trying to summon the king of the dead to kill more people. Not funny “haha,” funny weird.
How should he do this…? Scary? Funny? Oh! Or maybe he should ditch the crown!
Danny grinned, waving his hand to dispel the crown of ice. It was nice, but he was in a dungeon critter mood today.
“Oh, this is going to be gooood.”
Danny cracked his knuckles and put on the most dead-inside-and-outside expression he could manage, modeling it off of the Nasty Burger workers during closing shift. The halfa stepped through the portal.
——
“The ritual is completed! You will all face the might of Pariah Dark, the eternal king of the dead!” The villain of the week cackled as his cult cheered. Wonder Woman, scuffed and injured from the magical bolts these magic users had shot at her earlier, grimaced and raised her sword.
“We will defeat Pariah Dark,” she proclaimed. Her allies rallied at her proclamation and readied themselves for another fight. “This world will not bow to the likes of you!”
“We are all but mere ants before the king of the dead! Pariah Dark will bring forth the reckoning this shitty world deserves!”
“Actually, Pariah Dark’s kind of busy, so you’re gonna have to leave a message.”
Green Arrow’s arrow jerked towards the new voice. Batman paused, hand holding batarangs at the ready. He, out of all of them, knew better than to underestimate a young voice.
A gloved hand shoved through the green portal, using the edges like a door frame to heave itself through. A humanoid shape, with sharp ears all but crawled out of the Lazarus green portal. Batman wondered if this was what Jason saw when he came back to life.
"Lord Pariah Dark is busy?!"
The figure- a boyish not-human- heaved a sigh. "Do you people seriously think that the High King of the Infinite Realms isn't swamped with work?"
"And who are you supposed to be? His secretary?" Hal asked, Ring glowing and at the ready. Wonder Woman tensed and mentally struck Hal away from the list of people to consider for diplomatic missions.
"Me? I'm a glorified paper pusher." The being turned back to the cultists, his cape containing the universe swished behind him. "Did you have a message for Pariah Dark?"
"He was meant to rain down death and destruction!"
"Okay, first of all, I feel like you guys are missing a really important point." The being pointed at the cult leader. “It’s not called the King of the Dead for no reason, you know. Death comes for everyone eventually. Also, I have to do a seriously giant amount of paperwork every time one of you fruitloops gets the bright idea to cause an influx of deaths.”
Danny stomped across the circle, grabbed the collar of the cultist leader’s cloak and yanked him down. He shook him. “Do you people have any idea how annoying it is?! Huh?! Do you know how long the A-354 Form is?! Stop trying to get Pariah to kill people! I’m sick of the paperwork, dammit!”
"How- how did you get out of the circle?!"
The cultists and the heroes squared up, ready to fight the possible common enemy: Danny.
Danny is having the best time of his half life. Screw kingly dignity, Danny’s gotta de-stress somehow! He had a whole bag of complaints!
"You wrote the circle wrong, idiots! Ancients, are you people even literate? What even are those scribbles?" Danny kept shaking the cultist. Wow, what an amazing stress ball!
“Uh- hey, he looks kind of sick…” The Flash said, trying to be a good hero and mediate before escalating. Danny snarled and Flash held up his hands, gulping in fear as Danny’s eyes narrowed at him. “Did I… do something?”
“You,” Danny hissed. “You mother- fruitloop! Stop screwing with the timeline, you giant red-! Do you know how annoying it is to readjust the death count every time one of you little merry red jesters takes a jaunt through time and space?! Do you even know how many complaints I had to field?! Oh, boy you’re all going to regret summoning me today, because I’ve had a long time to think about what I’d do to everyone who made me work overtime!”
Danny bared his teeth, eyes sparkling with mirth as he froze the cultists.
"We're not letting you take over the world," Hawk-Woman said, raising her mace that pulsed with electricity.
Danny snorted to hide his wince. "I'm not interested. Just let me punch him once. Just once." Danny pointed at the Flash.
"Honestly, I can't even blame you," Black Canary muttered, fists raised.
"Wha-! Canary! That's so rude! You traitor!"
"Shouldn't have put skittles in my shoes then. Those hurt, Flash."
"Enough." Everyone shut up at the sound of Batman's command. "What do you mean they wrote the circle wrong."
Danny, who was watching the byplay with interest, shrugged. "They wanted to summon the Ghost King, right? We've had a... change of leaders recently."
"Who is the leader now?"
Danny waggled a finger at Batman. "Nuh-uh. I'm gonna collect my over-time compensation, which is punching the Flash, and then we can negotiate for information."
"Flash."
"I don't want to get punched, Bats!"
"The alternative is that I let the current Ghost King have a go at you."
"Flash."
"Oh my god, just get punched, Barry!" Danny heard Green Lantern Hal Jordan whisper.
"Ugh, fine. No one video this."
Immediately, three phones go up to record the Flash getting decked by a teenage looking ghost. Danny floated closer and wound his fist back, letting loose some of the ghost strength he normally keeps restrained. "This is for my overtime and for Clockwork, you jerk."
The halfa slammed his fist straight into the Flash's face, knocking him clear into the air. Superman catches him but Danny no longer paid attention to the Flash, petty vengeance enacted.
"Honestly, I don't have a problem with you as a person. You're kind of cool. Break the timeline again in the next three months, though, and you're on my shit-list."
"What do you want in exchange for information?"
Danny hummed. "Depending on the level of information, and I reserve the right to not answer any questions. For the name of the current Ghost King..."
He did want that new gaming console. And Jazz could use some help with her rent.
"I want $5,000 and a plate of really good spaghetti."
"I have cash."
Danny nodded at the Dark Knight. "You just carry $5,000 in cash on you? Who does that?"
"I like to be prepared."
"And he's rich," Superman chimed in.
The Flash reappeared with a plate of spaghetti from an Italian place he teleported to. "Here you go. Fresh, and pleasedon'tscrewwithmyafterlife."
Danny shoveled the spaghetti into his mouth, jaw unhinging like a particularly disturbing snake right before he dumped the whole thing- plate and all- down his throat. "Thanks! The food didn't even try to kill me this time! You're good."
"Does your food try to kill you all of the time?!" The Flash- Barry, apparently- asked.
Danny nodded as he took the cash from Batman's gloved hands. "Totally. It sucks."
"Identity." Batman demanded.
"Oh, yeah. The current ghost king is me."
"...What."
"You have been swindled. Bamboozled. Outwitted and outsmarted," Danny snickered, shoving the bundle of cash in his chest. "But seriously, I'm the king. We got rid of Pariah a while ago."
The crown of ice materialized.
"You said you were a glorified paper pusher!" Hawk-Woman chortled.
"I am! I'm pushing so many papers across my desk, it's unending, I swear!"
Batman growled. "You tricked us."
Danny smirked, "You got tricked." Red Robin, in the corner, snorted quietly. "Anyways, if you've got more interesting things around here, I'll considering busying myself with that instead of sentencing you to an afterlife of paperwork."
The adults straightened, grimacing. "Beast Boy is green," Hal offered up.
"Hey!" Beast Boy shouted, offended at the easy way Hal offered him up. He turned to Danny. "But have you ever seen a green chinchilla? Super cute. Watch!"
"Woah!" Danny clapped. Yes, he'll hang out with them before dragging himself back.

Part 1 (There is a trial.)
You don't get to be a god without a small piece of you getting reincarnated. Though they kinda wish they knew when that small piece of them is in the reincarnation cycle.
Ghost Lawyer: -Danny Phantom, the defeater of Pariah Dark is called to the council under the pretense that Amity Park is grave and not his hunt that he led us to believe. Johnny 13 is called by the commission to be Phantom's witness as he foretells the Realms that Amity Park is Phantom's Grave instead of Danny Phantom himself.
Meanwhile
Johnny 13: Yeah I know *he scratches his head as he checks over Danny* dick move and I shouldn't have done that but on the bright side. *Jazz hands* No more ghost attacks.
Phantom: *Growls*
Johnny 13: I know this is not an ideal situation. *He gestures to the muzzle, power suppression cuffs, and ankle chains attached to metal balls that keep him on the ground.* But when the court agrees that we- I'm telling the truth, you'll get your full powers.
Phantom eyes widen as he begins to thrash: *He begins banging his cuffs onto the ground and growling, to the point that nearby ghosts have to restrain him, and other nearby ghosts force him into a straight jacket.*
Johnny 13 could only calm Phantom down when they were called to the courtroom.
The courtroom
Ghost Lawyer: The court would like to call Danny Phantom to the stand.
A ghost wheels Phantom to the stand takes the straight jacket off him, and forces him to stand. The ghost leaves. Johnny sits on one of the benches.
Phantom: *Glares at the ancients on the podium*
Pandora: The council has seen the evidence and agreed that Amity Park is Danny Phantom's grave. Therefore-
Johnny 13: *Smiles and clutches his hands in anticipation*
Phantom: *Glares harder*
Ghost Lawyer gets up and bows: I have already made preparations to inform the Realms about this wonderous news-
Pandora: -We, as the Rulers of the Realms, DO. NOT. Recognize Amity Park as the grave of, The Great One; Defeater of Pariah Dark, Danny Phantom.
Ghost Lawyer & Johnny looks towards the counsel in shock: Wha-
Phantom: *Lessens his glare and relaxes a little*
The Ghost Lawyer and Ancients argue back and forth as Phantom stands silently with a relaxed face as if reminiscing about the past.
Phantom: ......
Johnny was not like Phantom, who seemed to accept his fate, or the Ghost Lawyer who could argue back at the ancients. The authorities of the Realms. But as the witness he has to do something.
Johnny stands up: As the witness, I feel like I also have a say in this.
*Johnny 13 has decided to roll for a persuasion check.*
Johnny: It is known that a being who turned into a ghost has the basic abilities of a ghost and their own powers that they had once alive. The council was created to help ghosts find and accept their grave for not only the betterment of the ghost but the Realms itself. Therefore, as a halfa wouldn't it be useful for Phantom to have access to his full potential and for the betterment of the Realms.
*Johnny 13 has rolled a nat 1 on the persuasion check. Persuasion check has failed.*
Pandora: And, for that reason. For the betterment of the Realms, we do not recognize Amity Park as a grave. End. Of. Discussion.
Ghost Lawyer looks down at their clutched hands before shooting their head up to look straight at Pandora: Then you leave me no choice, Lady Pandora.
Pandora: *Squints her eyes in confusion before widening in realization.*
Ghost Lawyer raises their hand to gesture to the seat behind the Ancients: I call upon the vessel of Zeus to the stand.
Phantom snaps out of his relaxed state, eyes filled with panic and rage: *Low growl*
Johnny looks over in confusion: ......
The Ancients turn to the chair in anticipation: ......
???: Kekeke-
The chair turns around and reviled Vladimir Masters with yellow electronic-filled eyes.
Vladimir Masters: Well this just got interesting.
Zeus!Vlad
To Be Continued......

Inspired by this post.
So, we have Danny, who outlived his friends and family (none of them became ghosts.) is the prince of the Infinite Realms.
As soon as he didn't have any ties to the living world anymore, at the young age of 114 was Danny scooped up and taken to the ghost zone for royal tutelage.
Things like balance training, how to carry himself prim and proper, how to invoke power with his voice (not literally, mostly how to sound commanding at stuff), what he should wear, knowledge about the ghost zone etc, etc.
Although, History beyond a certain point had to be taught exclusively by Clockwork, since the only other person who could teach him about the Infinite Realms' full History would be Pariah Dark, who was the first ghost ever to have been conceived by the Realms, and no one really wanted to wake up him.
Of course, that would mean there would be a void where Clockwork can't teach, but that knowledge is.... not necessary for the young prince to learn.
[It was really just about Pariah acquiring the ring and crown, the rest is uh, cough the lovey-dovey arc of Pariah Dark and Clockwork that will stay lost to time if Clockwork has anything to say about. Look, they were babies then compared to now, no one needs to know what happened back then alright?]
So, after all this I imagine him wearing something like this, staff and all.
However, Danny has an arch-nemesis.
Dark Danny.
Who somehow managed to escape from his imprisonment and causes havoc and chaos wherever he goes. His thing to do was to escape to the living world to make it befall the same fate he caused to his own.
He, however, probably did not expect for Danny to be more experienced, and his skills more honed than 100 years ago. Not that Dark Danny knew such time had passed, as he went through the trouble of trying to locate Danny's parents, sister, and best friends to make try and set him on the path to become him.
He failed, obviously, as they were already long gone.
His next thing to do? Locate Vlad and consume his ghost half. However, Danny made it just in time before he could do so.
However, Dark Danny's sheer, raw power, still eclipsed his own. However, while his raw power may be superior, he had something that would let him reliably go head-to-head in a fight with his alternate self and not win due to being underestimated and the sudden appearance of the ghost wail.
A staff, one naturally formed when he was crowned as Prince. An artifact that granted him a boost in power, and furthered his strengths regarding magic, giving him a roughly equal playing field when he confronts Dan.
It by itself may have only been equal to that of the Ring of Rage or Crown of Fire individually, but the fact it could compare to either one when not paired together spoke well of its power.
Dark Danny was, obviously, not expecting him to be as well-equipped and powerful as he was now. So, he underestimated him yet again, and almost led to his defeat and subsequent containment. However, Danny didn't expect for him to escape as he did, and run into another dimension.
Danny, both as himself and Prince of the Ghost Zone, has the responsibility to go after his evil self. So, he entered the portal, with some equipment made by Vlad as both a thanks and silent 'Find him as quickly as possible', which was a device meant to track Dark Danny's energy whenever he uses a good amount of it.
He... didn't expect, to land in a dimension of Superheroes and Villains.
However, he could let such things distract him from the task at hand, Dark Danny was surprisingly laying low for some reason. Probably to recuperate the damage Danny managed to do to him, so that left him a while to get familiar enough with this dimension.
He got a few odd looks here and there, mostly due to how he was dressed. He was worried about it for a while, before overhearing others calling him a cosplayer and him, suddenly remembering that those do indeed exist, decides to use that as a cover for how he dresses.
A month later, still with no sign of his alternate self, and making Danny worry about if he wasn't in this dimension at all. The device finally picked up Dark Danny's signature, and he hurried to said location, when he arrived, the place was not in the best of shape.
Upturned cars, broken buildings, rubble on the street, fire here and there. Not the best welcome party.
There were multiple other villains than just his future self there, but he didn't put them in mind. He was here for one, and one alone.
A few members of what he believes to be Young Justice took to fighting his alternate self, while other members of their team and the Justice League fight the other villains. He saw what could only be the start of a ghost wail, and hurried over.
In front of them, he slammed the butt of his staff on the ground and conjured a shield, which took the entirety of the attack with a few cracks.
"Still as strong as ever, I see." Danny said, lowering the shield as his twin rings run up and down his body respectively, hair turning a white glow and eyes as green as toxic waste. He raised his staff, pointing it at his future self, who looked none too pleased to see him at all. "Now then, shall we continue our fight you so rudely left unfinished?"
Of course, Danny no longer had the card of underestimation, but he could do well without it. Unfortunately, after quite the battle, Dark Danny managed to escape once again, due to some kind of teleport spell of another magic user.
Danny didn't escape unscathed from the fight, but nothing that couldn't be healed in time.
Of course, then he had to interact with both the Justice League, and Young Justice after his sudden introduction.

Part 1: what's lost can be found
"She won't make a sound, alone in this fight with herself and the fears whispering if she stands she'll fall down. She wants to be found, the only way out is through everything she's running from wants to give up and lie down. So stand in the rain, stand your ground. Stand up when it's all crashing down. You stand through the pain, you won't drown. And one day, what's lost can be found."  -Stand in the Rain by Superchick
Regent Masterlist Part 2
Tumblr media
The decayed ghost siren echoed through the abandoned streets of Amity Park's Witching Hours. Its residents were well acquainted with what that sound meant, fear and exasperation a potent (strange) mix to keep them tucked in their homes, their beds, as the Fentonworks building seemed to come alive.
Of course, figuratively speaking.
(Nothing was truly alive there anymore.)
Jasmine Fenton had just arrived back from the Infinite Realms, muscles pleasantly sore from training with Pandora and very much looking forward to hugging her little brother before he begun his nightly patrol. The siren caught her attention before she’d stepped fully out of her portal, dread filling her gut like a rock dropped into a lake.
Oh no.
Team Phantom were young, no one could ever argue that, with some scars to show for all their battles to protect Amity from those that would claim their haunt- but no one outside the team understood just how paranoid they’d become since Pariah Dark and Dark Dan
The contingencies had begun when Jazz started to remember bits and pieces of a timeline that Danny himself had erased using the reality gauntlet. He’d never told anyone of what had happened, with Freakshow’s plan to make himself ‘ringmaster of all reality’ and all, but Jazz had somehow recalled flashes of sheer panic at watching her little brother accidentally reveal himself as Phantom on live tv, in the Fentonworks kitchen on that little box set. The white rings of light that emerged from his core to switch from half-alive to half-dead and vice versa damned him.
The elder fentons had gone on the offense immediately, Jack’s screech of ghost! Echoing in the house and they raced down to the lab to get whatever latest weapon they’d built to capture Phantom.
It didn’t matter that their son was dead, that he had died, that their ‘greatest work’ was Danny’s grave. That Jasmine was…well, she wasn’t entirely human anymore, not when she turned on her heel to follow her progenitors down down down into the darkness, sword tightly grasped in hand as her teal eyes glowed a sickly green.
She hadn’t hesitated then, to protect her little brother. One slash, two, three
Danny hadn’t known she killed their parents in that timeline. She would never tell him.
She would never tell him how they hadn’t even noticed her presence, her ever loyal weapon Faithkeeper about to take their lives, how she hadn’t even needed to summon her armor. She would never tell him how they begged for their lives, not to protect their children, but to kill the ghostly menace.
Danny never knew she’d dumped their corpses in the landfill.
(Right where they belonged.)
WIth the rewrite of the timeline, reset to the same day of the ill-fated Humpty Dumpty concert, Jack and Maddy Fenton’s deaths were undone, but not the blood on Jasmine’s hands.
With Danny’s defeat of Pariah Dark, came another revelation.
Jasmine was still mostly alive. Somehow she’d survived her childhood, but Danny hadn’t. She’d looked away for five minutes, forgotten to lock the lab after their parents left and he’d died for it.
With the weight of being schrodinger’s hero, could her little brother withstand becoming king of the infinite realms?
Perhaps not while he was still learning, still gaining his own grip on his strange existence. In time, he would become a great king- one of mercy and benevolence, but he still had a long ways to go.
Jasmine had borrowed ancient ghost law books from Ghostwriter and locked herself away for three days, cycling between crying for her and Danny, reading through the complicated laws of ye olden times, and writing down her findings- just in case another reality rewrite was due.
Tumblr media
Jasmine had accepted Regency on Danny’s behalf with a grace she didn’t know she possessed.
It had been a small ceremony, with Danny and his friends present and Pandora, Jasmine’s mentor, acting as sentry as she accepted the Crown of Fire. She knew it was a long road till she could pass it down to its rightful owner, but Jasmine was prepared to shoulder the burden for her little brother.
Pandora had simply laid one of her many hands on Jasmine’s shoulder with a solemn air, in understanding. There was work to be done before any of them could have peace. (Not even the afterlife was safe from paperwork.)
Tumblr media
Her favorite journal contained the scraps of her hope and dreams bound in maroon leather, soft with age and imprinted with every emotion Jazz had unwittingly (and later knowingly) poured into every word.
Its pages were a kaleidoscope of her life.
Sure, it began with the soft tinge of curiosity-exasperation-fondness, some sentiment of better times before her progenitors began working on that damned portal, constructing the future grave of their son without the slightest clue.
The emotions began turning a darker turn when the work turned into an obsession. Jazz had plunged into her schoolwork and part-time jobs to afford whatever was needed for the siblings to survive, fondness becoming slowly poisoned by anger. Anger for the portal. Anger for the food other kids had, that they didn’t have to work so hard for. Anger that she knew what starving felt like.
Anger that she was so weak.
Then the day of Danny’s death.
The darkest part of her history, the last embers of her hopes and dreams, of the siblings escaping smothered. Danny’s death scream forever etched into her brain.
(It should’ve been her.)
She hated those pages of her journal, the emotions of grief-anger on her tongue, but she couldn’t bring herself to rip them out. No more than she could destroy the confessions of protect-rage-grief, the confessions of the darker timeline she shouldn’t remember.
On very last page was the contingency plan Jazz herself had created.
Tumblr media
Code Graverobber.
That siren wasn’t any ordinary ghost siren, no, it was the one Tucker had programmed himself- it was the quickest way to alert every member of Team Phantom and Tucker had made sure that none of them could mistake it for a Fenton ghost alarm. No, Code Graverobber was in effect.
Phantom had been captured by the elder Fentons.
Tumblr media
(Fate has a way of setting itself right.) (Death wants its due.) With a bleeding, sobbing and vivisected Danny cradled in her arms, Jazz left Amity Park behind for what she prayed to the Ancients was forever. The Fentons died that night, though the official records would claim they were killed in a explosion due to the highly unstable inventions they created, taking the lives of their children as well. No one really dug around in the wreckage of Fentonworks, not for the bodies of the family within, with the chance of another explosion happening should rubble be shifted the wrong way.
Jack and Maddie Fenton died..
But Jasmine and Danny Nightingale lived on, in Gotham City.
Tumblr media
The last of those three days she spent locked in her room, Jasmine wrote a letter to a future version of herself, tucked inside one of her favorite books now lost in the destruction of Fentonworks. To my future self, Forget me in your happiness.    Love, your past
Tumblr media
A/N: BEHOLD!
Ahem. This is the original chapter 1 that I never finished or published. It's not my favorite or my best, but I unburied it for the 300 milestones. Thanks for reading!

The Acension
by @browa123
It’s been ten years since Danny first became Phantom. Though a renowned hero across two worlds, he leaves when called to fight for the Infinite Realms. Pariah Dark has returned, and Danny is the last hope of defeating the evil king before a terrible war ravages the Infinite Realms and puts all that exists in danger. Danny and his army emerge victorious, but in the fallout after the war Danny is left to be crowned the Ghost King. This necessary evil turns his life on its head as truths are revealed, a new world beyond anything seen before begins to expand and the crown weighs heavy on the head. There’s a lot more to being the Ghost King than what the title suggests, as Danny gets roped into a new conflict with cosmic horrors beyond the comprehension of most things. Both worlds hang in the balance and their fate depends on how Danny handles the new burden of responsibility given to him. Will Danny be able to control these new powers that come with being king? Or, will his own Pride blind him to that which really matters?

That ain't happening Thursday
Yes, I know it's Friday but I've missed this the last couple of weeks bc of school work so I don't care anymore lol. Time is an illusion that I don't care for.
This week's wip is based on a prompt send to @stealingyourbones blog! It's this one here!
It's currently unnamed and is hella ruff, but please enjoy!
(wip under the cut)
The Ghost King must have a title besides the one of king. Being king gives power but it's the title that gives it shape and purpose. The infinite realms will curl itself into the soul of the king, seeing all that they have to offer and build the title the realms will bend too.
One that will swallow them all whole.
Danny knew this. Was warned and lectured of it. When he defeated Pariah Dark he became a candidate for king along with Vlad and a handful of ghosts that he doesn't know. Well, didn't know.
A gentle but instant tug on his core led him to the old king's keep. In these hallowed halls is where he found out about the situation he created. Clockwork damning all of them to their fate. He didn't know how to feel at the time, especially not now, but he's ready for the coordination of the next king.

Danny had a pounding headache when he woke up, but what was from the suit, what was from power overuse and what was from (hopefully) getting his city back in the right dimension was up in the air.
He ducked from the light.
“Jazz, five more minutes.”
“Who’s Jazz?” Constantine opened with. This is an unknown on multiple levels, and a kid.
“Hardy har-har Amorpho,” Danny rubbed his forehead again. Probably low on ecto… great. “What’s up with the trenchcoat? I know you said you were planning to make your own characters and all instead of yoinking my life and everyone else’s, but normally i get the exposition dump in advance.”
John frowned. A ‘Jazz’ and ‘Amorpho’ were his only two clues into the summonee. Looks like a kid and has a pulse… possible Dr. Fate situation or even possession.
Had it for ages, mate. Now, i tell you my name, you give me yours.”
The kid tolled his eyes. “Dude, you stole my name enough times to know it.”
John noted that Amorpho and the being didn’t have the best relationship.
“Humor me; John Constantine.”
The kid has no reaction.
“Danny, Fenton and Phantom.”
Good. He can do a lot with a name, and so can the others.
“Look, i got Amity out of the Zone, right?”
Just had to keep the bugger talking. Amity—person, group, or place? And Zone—which one, and what did it refer to.
“Dunno mate, didja?”
Danny moved to glare at him. Too much like a kid at the end of their rope.
“Not funny. I know i’m not in the Keep, and that we’re not in the Zone. I can taste that much”
Interesting skill set.
“But what i don’t know is was everyone able to make it out. They’re,” the kid took a deep breath. “its not going to be another Mattingly situation, right? And if it is, it hasn’t kicked in yet since its only been two days and we still have low ecto-contaminated water with the sheilds up. So, so we can still get everyone home through the portal and—“
John didn’t like the sounds of this. Chances of Amity being a place—city, town or something bigger were skyrocketing. And they’d been taken to some ‘Zone’ and had a water contamination issue since entering the Zone.
He glanced at the camera while the kid spiraled.
“And fruitloop closed the sarcophagus so Pariah should be asleep again and, crap. I can’t get to the ecto de-jecto with the shields up… please tell ke that talk about the natural portal detection wasn’t a lie. I think i need to see Frostbite and the yeti again. Everything’s too slow and spinny.”
John forced himself to keep his cool. The kid needs medical attention, and wants to see someone called Frostbite, likely an ally of or an actual Yeti.
Said kid also just defeated Pariah Dark very recently, if his word was to be believed.
The kid is also not 100% human and john couldn’t ID if it was a consenting possession or something else. No clue what ecto-dejecto is—maybe like insulin or could be drugs. Worry pending on that depending on the kid’s moral alignment.
“How long have you been a ghost again?”
“Half ghost asshole,” the kid growled out. John was fairly certain that was BS. “life got 50/50 custody with death. You and everyone else forced me to get tested since the last guy turned out to be a revenant ghost hybrid and got the Zone’s hopes up for nothing.”
So the half alive thing was important to this Zone. And him being both alive and dead in a perfect split could align him as a lord of balance candidate or a baby lord of balance.
Not the best in either case power wise if they piss the kid off.
“Really mate? Dodging a question.”
“A, a little over a year, i think?” The mid rubbed his forehead again. “Depends if we go by death or when my powers started to kick in or after i could go ghost. Frostbite said being made rather than born is what makes it tricky on timelines.”
Recent dead, shit. John knew just how varied and volatile freshly dead can be. Recent dead, possible lord of balance. Very bad combination.
“sounds like you still don’t have the hang of it.”
A bit more information for the others to get something should work.
“Shut up—you sucked as my impersonator. Sydney at least managed to handle school when he tried to take over my life, and didn’t get my parents to hunt me harder as Phantom for months after.”
And now John knows the kids afterlife isn’t the best if his parents are actively hunting his ghost. Most call it reuniting if its welcome. Hunting is used by most ghosts who are being targeted violently or for exorcism.
The fact the kid was still being nice thinking he was Amorpho would blow up in his face if he didnt get out fast.
“sheesh, not like i caused the world to end mate. Why don’t i check up on Amity and you stay here and rest? Looks like you need it.”
“Fucking ecto-deficiency,” the kid grumbled. “Next asshole that releases Pariah, sic it on a dimension that has someone besides me protecting it.”
Ecto dejecto is medical then. Shit.
“C’mon mate, not like you were alone.”
He hoped.
“Only one not able to go in the shield, and the rest of you guys hand the skeleton army to handle. Vlad was only there to steal the crown—fuck is Dani okay? I know we stabilized her, bus she could have been pulled in with the identical ecto-signature… if you see Wulf, can you have him portal to her and check she’s good or if she needs de-jecto too?”
John hummed in agreement, noting Danny hadn’t looked at him too closely. So the cult was working during a battle for the crown, and a baby ghost with a medical condition took out Pariah Dark to save what sounds like his haunt or territory on the living side. Shows care towards what sounds like another 50/50 or ghost with a similar medical condition, has beef with a ‘fruitloop’ (possibly the Vlad seeking the crown), a friend who can portal and no news on who Jazz is.
Also a possible lord of balance.
They just need to send the mid back and hope he doesn’t remember the trip here. Given the exhaustion and signs of some sort of headache, unlikely he will. All in all, better to release than handle what sounds like another United Zone (whatever zone he was working with).
Danny Phantom just defeated Pariah Dark. Like he is still in that suit his father made in Pariahs keep. He doesn't know the ghost rules. It hasn't even been a year since he died and became a halfa, so no one has explained to him that if you defeat the king you become the king. In another dimension John Constantine is panicking because because the JL failed to stop a cult from completing the summoning ceremony that will summon the ghost king. They are all expecting Pariah Dark, but what they get instead is a ghost child. The summoning pulled him out of the suit that Jack made.
Danny looks around, confused with his vision blurring exhausted from fighting Pariah Dark. "Where am I?" Danny asks. Danny has no idea that he now has a floating crown above his head. He finally passes out right in front of the JL, and he transforms back into Danny Fenton.
The JL decides to take Danny to the watchtower in space and put him in a cell until he wakes up. None of them trust Danny, especially not John Constantine. When Danny wakes up, he is very confused, and sitting right outside his cell is John Constantine.

Is there going to be more halfa Cass?
Danny tugged an island behind him, this one with various fruits that he used to eat in his childhood, dragging the large piece of land with a visible control over its gravity. It took him years to figure out how to turn his ectoplasma into something that could control the cosmos.
They were not quite the same - the strawberries were indigo, the blueberries were bright pink, and there were some glowing blackberries that he definitely needed to test. Still, many people would be happy to see something so familiar.
And for some, the kids born after the shift, it would be a first time. They had ice cream, but their resources were lacking many sweet things now, and Danny often found himself missing simple things like eating freshly picked berries from Mrs. Sandigo's garden.
She was a sweet old woman who allowed all the neighborhood kids to eat from her garden. Fruit or vegetables. She used to grow them for fun and saw it as a way to connect with the community.
She died in the third year of them being trapped. Lack of her heart medication.
Ever since his town was taken seven years ago, Danny had been desperate to find a way to take them all back. But forces he could not name, let alone defeat, were stopping humans from crossing over.
The only exceptions were Danny and Dani- Dan had escaped Clockwork and attempted to take over the town again, but Danny was having none of that, especially back then. They didn't even have a food source! So they tied Dan to the Keep, forcing him to be a guardian forever.
It was a bit tough at first, but Dan eventually calmed down enough to live peacefully with humans again. (Turns out the ghost regained his sanity when his mother yelled at him.)
Danny still felt horrible to watch his people nearly starve to death, and would go out into the human world to bring back as much food as possible from the local stores. He attempted to leave Amity Park's borders to request relief efforts, only to discover that he could no longer leave the town.
Amity Park's people were trapped in the Ghost Zone, and Danny was trapped in Amity Park. He could fly wherever he wanted in the Zone, but in the living world, he could only travel over the ruins of his once home.
Unlike before, Danny realized he had a time limit on how long he could be in the Living world, too. Since there were no humans to provide living energy in that town, there was nothing to help stabilize his core and allow his ectoplasm to solofied. Shifting into a human while in the Living World only resulted in Danny being zapped right back to the Ghost Zone, as all the human residents were trapped, including Danny Fenton.
Danny Phantom was the only one allowed to cross over.
He consulted multiple allies in the Ghost Zone- Clockwork, Frostbite, Pandora- but all told him the same. King Pariah had taken the humans, and only he could release them. As far as the Ghost Zone was concerned, they had been claimed as spoils of war, even though Danny won in the end, King Pariah wasn't defeated or killed.
He was merely put to sleep. Until Danny was strong enough to defeat him properly, none of the King's war spoils could be transferred to Danny, and thus he could not free them.
But it wasn't like Danny could beat King Pariah. If he attempted to release the madman, who's to say his luck would help him again? Even Clockwork admitted that he never once stood a chance against King Pariah Dark, and in nearly every timeline he peeked into, Danny always lost to Pariah.
Clockwork could not answer when, or if, the residents of Amity Park would ever be able to see the Living World again. It was the Zone twisting around them, clouding their futures in a way that not even time could tell what would happen.
Danny felt sick to know it was because they were no longer considered people. They were spoils. Property. As crucial to fate as King Pairah's office rug.
That's why Danny did what he did. He bent cosmos, he tugged islands together, he fought off invaders, he provided resources and hope so that one day he could let his people go home.
Danny welcomed other ghosts, but there had been times when those ghosts thought of the humans as property, too, and had to be escorted off his lands. Humans were seen as lesser in this world - a source of food at best - and his parents' attitude towards ghosts had shifted once they realized they spoke about the residents of the Ghost Zone in the same way.
Around the four-year mark, fractions began to appear among the Amity Park residents. The first were the ones who believed they would go home- they fought to live as closely as they did back on Earth, including using the same currency.
The second fraction was the ones who accepted they were never going home. They operated more on trade, shifting skills and manual labor, struggling to get everyone to adapt to the new laws and rules of Phantom's Keep.
The third were the ones who treated Danny's family like a monarchy. At first, the people fought against their control of the town, but it soon got out that Danny Fenton was Danny Phantom and that he literally ruled over the park island. He willed a castle into existence and houses for everyone. He could build and construct, and soon, with everything Danny tried to provide, he was given a more ruler-like role.
Not to mention the rest of the Fentons, that let their intelligence shine, putting society back in order and providing solutions for problems. They were the main reason everything didn't fall apart, and that the humans didn't tear each other apart to survive.
Eventually, Phantom was spoken to with the same respect as King, and they decided to let him determine what happened to them. Here or the Living world. Danny wasn't sure he was the right person to make that call.
The people need a hero. It's not fair, but it has to be you. We won't survive this if we lose what a hero gives us. We need hope. Jazz had told him at Mrs. Sandigo's funeral. The factions were fighting over how to properly set her to rest. Fraction 1 wanted to bury her in the park with a proper grave.
Still, Fraction 2 claimed that it would risk them turning the minimal living space into a worthless cemetery, and they couldn't risk the corpse affecting the land they were attempting to grow food on. Fraction 3 shouted that Phantom made the choice
He had her burned, and her ashes were put in a glass Urn under a statue of Freedom in the town's center, so no one forgot her in the Zone when they left. Over the seven years, more urns were lined up around her. It was a hauntingly beautiful sight when the few beams of light hit them, making the whole thing glow with multiple colors.
The Fractions were all comfortable with the solution. Still, Danny counted the urns day after day, unsatisfied, knowing his failure in defeating Pariah Dark had them dying away from their proper resting place.
"Dano!" His Dad called, flying alongside him inside a Fenton Hunting Jet once Danny had entered the very edge of his property. He had expanded the area that fell under Phantom's Keep fifty miles away from where humans lived.
It was an attempt to give them more space before he pulled the islands. The only ones it worked for, however, were the Fentons, as members of his bloodline.
"Hi Dad!" He cheers, waving a hand that wasn't wrapped around the ectopasm rope. "Look, I found fruit! Do you think you and Mom can test it for safe consumption?"
"Of course! I can test it alongside this." Jack responds with a grin, throwing his thumb to the back of the ship. Danny leans into the window to glance back, blinking at the hulking, dead boar ghost that his father had hunted.
If the meat was safe, they would eat well for at least a week or two. All of them. That thing was huge, bigger than the front draw bridge of their castle.
How did his Father beat it?!
"Wow! Great job, Dad!" He praises watching his father puff out his chest in pride. The image is ruined by the apparent exhaustion on his father's face, the years catching up to him. Although he has recently gained muscle, his frame still shook.
Jack always waited for his family to eat first back in those early days, when food was never a guarantee. He was much smaller than Danny ever remembered him being.
Danny was twenty-one now, and he was slowly watching his father lose the Superman strength he once wielded so easily as he wasted away, trapped in the Ghost Zone. A tickle of panic wrapped around his heart as the thought settled in the back of his head.
"Thank you, Danny." Jack laughs, his breath coming in short bursts as if he were running out, and Danny's heart leaped a little in fear before his dad managed to get it under control. "We best get back and make sure we can have a feast tonight."
"Is it a special occasion?"
"Yes. Your sister sent a message. Get this- Dan's brought a girl home! If things go well, I might have an in-law soon! Oh, can you imagine the wedding?"
Danny's smile becomes strained. If his brother is settling down here, then he will join the rest that have given up hope, and that's a bitter pill to swallow. He doesn't say it, though. Instead, he tugs more on the island with a fake laugh, "Then we best get back!"
He ignored the ache in his core as the Island slowly groaned, moving across his property line and towards the other linked-up islands. A series of ice-hot pain shot through his body, making him flatter a little, but thankfully, his father didn't notice, as he turned the jet towards the castle.
Danny was going to get everyone home. Even if it killed him.

A what if...
If Danny was originally a ghost child, born from one of the seven ancients that sealed Pariah Dark. In an unfortunate accident, he was caught by the Fentons and experimented on. In a twist of strange fate, he was turned human, and basically given life. Because he was no longer a ghost, they decided to adopt him.
Danny had no memory of his earliest years, or the experiments done on him but Jazz does and she quietly took better care of her brother than their parents did of either of them. At fourteen, he still dies and becomes a half ghost, partially because of his heritage kicking in. He still defeats Pariah Dark and becomes the Ghost King and the only one that knows his original identity is Clockwork who didn’t figure it out himself until Danny became a halfa. His human self being untraceable for them.
Danny is sixteen when he tells his parents about himself, oddly enough against Jazz’s advice. They didn't take it well and were ready to put him back on the table to experiment on him a second time to ‘fix him’ again.
It was Jazz that ended up sabotaging everything and grabbing her brother to run. She’d been packed and ready to go, expecting Jack and Maddie’s overreaction. Jazz finally tells him about the hazy memories she can recall about his arrival. Being only two years older than him, she was just a child but she remembered enough on top of their neglected childhood to decide to bail with him.
Clockwork was the one to give them their destination. Head to Gotham, where Danny could meet his mother, Lady Gotham, who is eagerly awaiting and preparing for his arrival. ~ ~ Batman did not like being summoned for meetings, he especially didn’t like being summoned for a meeting in his own batcave. That was his own space being infringed upon and he didn’t like it one bit. Meetings were for mutual areas unless it was called by one of his own children. Even then, those meetings were usually at the dinner table.
Constantine contacting him to have an ‘urgent chat’ was the last thing he wanted. Constantine usually avoided work when he could, and anything he would bring to the table meant trouble was on its way.
He’d had enough apocalyptic chaos for one month. It was only worse that Constantine insisted they meet tonight instead of the League meeting at the end of the week. Things that couldn’t wait meant more work for him.
Batman’s eyes narrowed at the sound of footsteps moving through the west side of the batcave. Even knowing it was coming, he was unhappy knowing that Constantine used the private door that only a few knew about to get inside.
“You’re early. That’s unheard of.” Batman commented, smelling the smoke of the man’s cigarette before even turning around. “Put that out.”
“Don’t think i will.” Constantine said, a hint of stress in his voice. “I dunno what you did but i don’t appreciate being dragged into it.”
“What i did?” Batman frowned, turning away from his computer to stand. “What’s that supposed to mean? You’re the one that wanted to talk.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Constantine said, inhaling. His free hand held another cigarette that he likely planned to light when the first was gone. “Someone wants to speak to you. You’re going to speak to them.”
“Tch.” Batman crossed his arms. It wasn’t a wonder to him why his children were so stubborn. He could see himself in many of their habits. “Am i?”
Constantine shrugged. “Yeah, i think you are. They’re your bloody benefactor so i really don’t think you got a choice. I’m just a middle man.”
“Benefactor?” Batman scowled, a list of possible names running through his mind but nothing held. Something that required Constantine’s presence was even more baffling. “What are you talking about?”
The atmosphere in the cave suddenly changed. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but given the way Constantine tensed, they both felt it. It was like a wave of something spread out through the room, brushing against both of them and moving out to fill the rest of the corner.
“John, who did you invite here?”
“Oh, i don’t think i could do something like that. Way above my pay grade.” Constantine muttered, turning to face the same direction he’d just come from. There was no noise, no footsteps, nothing to indicate an intruder other than the feeling filling every inch of the batcave. “May i present to you, the spirit of Gotham herself. Lady Gotham.”
For a long few seconds nothing happened. It wasn’t an overly timely introduction but a woman did appear. She moved fluidly, silently, disappearing and reappearing between every step. She looked to be made of stone, everything from the visible skin of her legs and bare feet, to her cloak. She could have been a fixture somewhere in the city, a beautiful gargoyle but she moved with complete ease.
The hood of her cloak was drawn low, a veil covering her face. Even making her way through the moderately lit cave, she was nearly shrouded in shadows still. The most visible feature she had were bright, toxic green eyes that almost seemed to swirl.
Sharp horns protruded through her hood that wrapped behind her head and at her elbows were a small set of stone wings that must have been useless but she gave no indication one way or the other. Not even when they seemed to flutter.
“Lady Gotham?” Batman blinked, trying to absorb what he was seeing. To commit everything to memory. Her appearance should have given away so much but instead he got nothing.
“Yes. She is who this city was named for. She is this city’s soul. Powerful, old, and the beginning of… well a lot.” Constantine muttered. “She apparently likes your ragtag team of bats and birds too.”
“Protectors…” She spoke, her voice was like a whisper, but there was an edge to it that made it seem like her speaking at a normal volume would be a very bad thing. “Protectors are always welcome here.”
Batman stared and didn’t know right off what he was supposed to say. He didn’t feel like he was in danger, but he had no idea what a supposed spirit would want with him. He’d been playing his role as batman for years without a trace of this Lady Gotham before.
Constantine cleared his throat. “Well since that introduction was made, i’ll see myself ou-”
“Stay.” she said, stopping only a few few away from them. She still blinked in and out of existence. Sometimes pieces of her would be visible while the rest of her faded in and out.
“Yes…” Constantine reluctantly muttered.
Batman straightened. “Never heard of you.” Constantine nearly groaned. “But i can’t refute what’s right before me. What can i help you with?”
She tilted her head, and the motion should have been impossible if she were actually made of stone. He got the impression that she was amused despite not really being able to see her face.
“Protector. Knight. Hero. Father. You have assumed so many mantles.” Gotham spoke softly. “There is only so much i can do, i do interfere when i can.”
He nodded though he had no idea what she was talking about. He’d always pulled his own weight but if there was an otherworldly entity assisting him, would he know?
“I come to you, to ask for a favor. You, with the means to grant such a thing.”
“What sort of favor?”
“A halfa has been directed to my core with his human sister. They require living arrangements.” She spoke firmly. “I can offer them my love, my welcome, my embrace, even a taste of my power but monetary needs and documents are out of my hands.”
“A halfa?” Batman frowned, not understanding the phrase other than them not being human if their sister being human was clarified.
“Nooo…” Constantine stared, looking like he’d prefer it if the floor just opened up and swallowed him. “Not the halfa that defeated Pariah Dark...”
“The very same.” Gotham clasped her hands in front of her, form flickering again. She radiated pride.
“The halfa that defeated Pariah Dark and became the Ghost King?” Constantine obviously wanted to get the hell out of Gotham.
“The same.” She repeated.
“Ghost King?” Batman frowned. “Why is he coming here?”
She disappeared, reappearing several feet to her left. “He is in need of a home. He is only sixteen human years old.”
“He’s a child?!” Constantine looked horrified. “And he became the Ghost King!?”
“Yes.” She said, somewhat patient. “My son is welcome here, so you will welcome him.”
Constantine was lighting that second cigarette. “Son… I gotta...I gotta sit down.”
Batman however was trying to ignore what he couldn’t grasp at the moment, and focus on what he could. “Documentation and lodgings for two minors is well within my means to provide.” He glanced back at Constantine who was walking away to grab a chair. “You’ll explain the Ghost King thing later.”
Constantine just waved him off as he collapsed into a chair.
Lady Gotham had moved, now standing directly in front of Batman without having moved a muscle. “My son and his human sister know what it means to be hunted. My child’s core screams for help and receives so little.” She suddenly seemed to tower over batman in a way she didn’t before. “He will receive assistance here.”
Batman stood firm, but it would be a lie to say he was completely unaffected. Despite that trickle of fear in his chest, he’d always done his best to be there for his kids. It didn’t mean he was successful, but he tried. What was two more? “I understand. Whatever he’s running from will be handled. When will he arrive?”
Lady Gotham paused. “Soon. Travel is slow, but steady. Another day.”
Batman hummed, that was plenty of time to get everything set up temporarily. He would talk to the Ghost King and his sister to discuss more permanent plans. His attitude however, seemed to be just what Lady Gotham expected.
She turned to Constantine. “You will find him easiest. Bring them here.”
Constantine heaved a sigh and pulled out a flask from his jacket pocket. He didn’t barter, try to make some kind of deal, or attempt to gain some form of payment. Lady Gotham was a force of nature all on her own but there was no way he was pissing off the mother of the Ghost King. That was asking for trouble even if the kid was a king. His power must have been something else… “Got it.” he agreed.
She sighed, the sound content. “Thank you, Knight. My son will be in good hands.” Or Else, didn’t need to be spoken.
She turned, and just like that she was gone, her powerful aura along with her. In a flash it was like she’d never been there at all.
Batman took a moment to just breathe and regain his bearings before turning back to Constantine. “What did i just agree to?”
“Not much.” Constantine said dryly. “Just being the foster dad to the Ghost King. King of the Infinite Realm.”
Well… It wasn’t the first time he’d adopted a teenager. Batman just reaffirmed his plans for the rest of the day and turned to change back into his civilian attire and head back up into his mansion. He needed to talk to Alfred immediately.
“Better you than me…” Constantine grumbled. This was going to be pure chaos, but he also had to wonder…what it was that spooked the kid that defeated Pariah Dark? That was something to look into.
Neither man had noticed when Tim had walked in, having watched most of that interaction from a safe distance away. “What the absolute fuck was that....?”
~~ ~~
I would really kind of enjoy a 16 year old Danny meeting and bonding with a 19 year old Jason… Also… Constantine texting Bruce the very moment he lays eyes on Danny. Yep! This kid is totally Wayne material. He’ll mix in with the others seamlessly.
No plans to continue this at this point if someone else wants a turn.
~Edit- I apparently lied...  Part 2

Trapped Fear
At first Fright Knight was not loyal to Pariah, maybe it was because he was the combination of many warriors and he knew that tyranny would lead to nothing. However, because of this the former king engaged him in battle and captured his core, making him loyal.
Like all Ancients, Fright Knight could survive without his core but had to obey the person holding it. He and Clockwork shared that unfortunate fate, though Fright Knight considered being at the mercy of the Observants far worse.
When Danny defeated Pariah Dark his control over Fright Knight stopped, the knight foolishly thought he would take back what was his, but the old king was selfish and thrown the stone of fear into the human world, where he knew Fright Knight would not enter.
Disappointed but used to it, Fright Knight resigned to not finding that part of himself, he served Danny from that moment on, becoming his protector and above all, his friend. Until someone found his core and instead of being free, he was summoned and resigned to fulfill the words of his new owner.
Of course, Danny was worried when his knight disappeared from Phantom Palace, and after a long search he found his whereabouts in a city: Gotham. A man called "Scarecrow" was spreading fear in the city, and it seemed very familiar to him.
After a fight with the bats he got the information he needed: his knight was following the man. When he went to face his old friend, the king noticed that Fright Knight was not speaking on his will, he was crying and sending messages of help that only he could understand. The King was furious, and maybe it was time to show why no one messed with what was his.

Constantine & The Ghost King
One of my favorite tropes from the Danny Phantom x Dc crossover is Constantine's reaction whenever Amity or the Ghost Realm is mentioned by the Justice League/Batman is "Fuck no. I'm out." But what if he had a reason? Constantine made a lot of deals with all types of beings. Some human, some not. So who's to say that he hasn't made a deal with a ghost in a time of his life?
So imagine around a time where he was really desperate that he made a deal of sometime with the Ghost King, or possibly the Ancients since they defeated him. And they agree to his deal in return that he will help the Ghost Zone when the time comes, and Constantine agrees because, well, he really doesn't have a choice at the matter.
So fast forward possibly years after Constantine saved the world and the deal with the ghosts just piled on to the ever growing list of deals he owes plenty of others and doesn't think about it.
Until, that is, he hears about Amity Park. The most haunted place in America that really is haunted. With ghosts that would no doubt alert the Ghost King if he stepped even an inch inside their perimeters. So Amity Park was marked with a big DO NOT ENTER by Constantine and he added it to his ever growing list of places that he's never going to go with a ten foot pole.
That is, until there's a potential world ending threat that not even Justice League Dark could help with. So they really had no choice but to contact the Ghost Zone to get the Ghost King's help. Though Constantine did warn the others that the Ghost King isn't one that they all had to be careful.
So there they are all standing. The JL standing in apprehension of the so feared Ghost King, Constantine in fear of the summoning the king would enact the deal they made. He's waiting. He's waiting. He's waiting. And.....that isn't the Ghost King he remembers.
No, the supposed king before him looks like a kid. A teen at best. But the toxic green eyes that scanned the room told him that this was more than just any teen.
One explanation later, they learned Pariah Dark was defeated and this kid was the new king and Constantine felt a small shimmer of hope. If this was the new Ghost King, surely he'd be out of his deal, right? No Pariah Dark to tell him what to do and whatnot. So with Phantom's help they managed to defeat the evil and Constantine was more than happy to finally get out of there and drink the memories away. But fate reminded him of his life when Phantom was right in front of him, a knowing smile on his face. "John Constantine. It is time that you completed your contract with the Ghost Zone."

Life on the farm pt 5 ghosts are in fact scary
The training session goes well, Danny shows off a little (he most definitely wasn’t checking out aqualad shut up Clark) but ultimately he decides against transforming in front of them. Ever since he defeated pariah his ghost form has slowly started to…change and the last thing he needed was mass hysteria. Before he leaves he corners Conner “I don’t care what Supes says im your brother whether you like it or not, I’ve been waiting my whole life to be a big brother, he is NOT taking this from me. I’ll pick you up next week and we can hang out.” Danny heads over to the zeta tube before turning around and heading the other way “yeah not doing that again, c’mon cujo let’s head home.”he pauses before looking Clark straight in the eye, “I can tell them or you can tell them, but before the end of the day someone is telling Ma and Pa about Conner.” Before Clark could try to stop him the two of them disappeared.
Kid flash then said the words that sealed their fate “y’know, for a guy that claims to be a ghost he wasn’t that scary, I mean really dropping the temperature, shadows? That’s child’s play.”
No one noticed a silent figure hidden on the ceiling or her sharp smile so very full of such… lovely promises
———
It started out small.
Things start going missing at first, just small things, a communicator that wasn’t where he left it. Furniture moved an inch to the left, small things that Are mostly ignored
Then comes the sounds, first it’s the sound of a girl laughing echoing through the halls and then it all came to a head.
The team found themselves trapped in the mountain with red tornado offline and the power stuck on the emergency back up they tried to stick together but they were quickly separated by the emergency hatches slamming down. So here we find Wally speeding through the halls, trying to find a way to reunite with the rest of the team when he comes across a little girl crying in a corner. Cautiously he approached the little girl asking her what’s wrong,
“He didn’t want me, I wasn’t good enough…” while he’s confused he starts to get angry somebody hurt a little girl, probably the same person that broke into the mountain he kneels in front of the girl
“Don’t worry kid I’m gonna get you out of here and he’s not gonna hurt you again.”
The little girl sniffles, her face still hidden in her arms “you promise?”
Wally sighs “yeah I promise now let’s get out of here.” He goes to help her up
“Leave? I can’t leave, he’ll get angry. He always gets angry!” Wally pauses as the room starts to feel unbearably still, he tries to move, just a finger, just an inch, as he feels the room closing in around him. He tries to look away but his eyes are drawn to the little girl as she slowly stands, her hair hanging in her face She looks up and screams Ị̷̼̦͈͎͇̋͆͛͑́͘͘͘ ̵̢͍̯̗̻̮̲͖͔͓͆̈́͂̌̅͂̾̀̊͠C̴̖̦͐̈͊̈́͆̉͋̿̾̒A̴̢̙̱̙͓̺̝͆͆́̕N̶̨̛̻͙̱̩̜̓́̀̽̿͆͒̇̍͘͠ ̸̨̢̡̘̻̗̜̼̗̔̂͑N̵̢̟͉̦̫͉̮̱͉̙̖̝̑E̶̻̞̰͔̫͔͙̺͕̥̬͂͐͊̓͂̿̈́͒ͅV̶̤̖̮͚͇̪̓͆̽̿͊̀͑͠Ê̵̛͉̭͖͚̥̼̱̺̱̜̻̺͛̓̋̇̂̏͘Ṟ̴͓͕̤́͜ ̵̣͚͐̑͂̅̕L̴̨̝̥̰̱̜̰̮̪̙̦̩̍̉̓ͅȨ̷̡͖͖̘̞̰̯̄͗́̌̃́̐̅́̽̉̚͘Ḁ̷͙́͗́̿͊V̸̮̘̄̈́̀̀̀̉̂E̸̤̻͔͛͊̀̓̚!̷̧̛̃̎!̶̨͖̜͈͎̳̩̬͚͒̅͐̊̀̔͂̀̆̉̍̂͝!̷̗̼͒̽̆̂̉̊̄͐́ͅ
Her face is half gone, melting into green goo as her eye falls out, before his very eyes her features grow sharper. She screams as she charges at Wally who squeezes his eyes shut using his arms to block his face with a shout he feels as though he’s been electrocuted and then… nothing. he opens his eyes and she’s gone, the lights flicker as he feels his heart beat impossibly fast. He races through the corridors before he finds himself back in the comm room, he races up to Robin who quickly turns around ready to strike.
DID YOU SEE HER?!?
“If you’re asking if I saw a little girl who is hanging from the ceiling with sharp eyes and large fangs staring like she wants to eat us, then yea I see her.” Wally tenses “See?!” He quickly turns around searching the ceiling as robin throws a flash grenade. But the little girl catches the grenade with a laugh and eats it whole. There’s a small puff of smoke leaving her mouth as she laughs, giving no other indication of her accomplishment. She drops to the floor, twisting her body at impossible angles, the two flinch at the sound of her cracking joints. With a low chuckle she says “don’t you want to play with me?”
The two young heroes scream
————-
Meanwhile
Clark would probably prefer to be in a haunted mountain than sitting at the living room table with his parents sitting across from him as Danny putters around in the kitchen preparing a pie for his new little brother.
“Clark Joseph Kent! I have never been so disappointed in my life!” Ma gave him a look that says not to interrupt
“Not only did you neglect to inform us of our youngest sons existence, but you basically made him feel ashamed for being made!”
“But ma!”
“Don’t you ‘but ma!’ Her, your mother is right. Luthor may be a piece of horse shit but that does not make any of this conners fault. That poor boy looks up to you, he woke up in this world by himself, you had us when you arrived, but all he had was luthor.”
Ma nods “that’s right! Now you are gonna bring that boy over for dinner and we are going to welcome him into this family with open arms. Danny is already making a pie so that leaves you with plenty of time to get your chores done, WITHOUT SUPERSPEED, while I run into town to pick up some groceries, Pa is gonna supervise.”
Danny walks in with a grin on his face “pies ready for the oven, but I gotta run out and pick up my cousin, she’s out making trouble, I can pick up Conner while I’m at it if you’d like?” Ma gives Danny a warm smile
“Oh! You’re bringing Ellie to dinner? How exciting! I thought you said she was stuck in the other universe” Danny laughs “the infinite realms are weird, what can I say. All I know is that I could feel it when she entered the dimension so I should probably go pick her up before she causes too much damage.” Danny gives a whistle and cujo comes running “I gave up figuring out how this one gets around a long time ago, he always finds me wherever I go.”
Ma and Pa smile “well that sounds lovely, We can’t wait to meet her.” With that Danny gives his parents a hug and pats Clark on the shoulder “don’t worry, once you get to know him youll realize he’s his own person, it gets a lot less awkward after that.” And Danny walks out the door and disappears.
——-
Back at the mountain
The team is in position, ready to strike but the creature who invaded the mountains seems to have multiplied each new creature more grotesque than the last Conner stood at the front of the group ready to defend as the creatures (for surely this was no mere little girl) slowly cornered the team when everything went COLD. The creatures looked up as a great pressure fell upon the mountain the creature laughed slowly as the turned to the team. Ḩ̵̢̣̝͖̭̝̮͇̮͎͕͚͊̈́̈̾̂̀̈́͝é̵̡̡̲͉̖͈͓̪̓̄̊̄̐͌͆̕͝͝ͅ’̸̧̘̘͙̝̥͑̇s̵̻̒͌̋ͅ ̸̢̞͓͉̝̜̘͂̑̈́̇͌͛̆͝ͅḩ̵́e̴̟͉̫̹̲̫̼̝͚͇̖̿̌̑̉͘͘r̴͕̝̦͔̣̣͎͈̜̅́̑̾̅͐̔ͅe̴̢̨̝̮͙̩͈̳̬̙͖̪̓͐
Conner tensed as the creature made to strike, but before it could reach the team a great overbearing shadow creature reached out and grabbed it by the collar.
Slowly the room returned to normal as the creature shrunk and the various beings vanished.
“Danny!” The little girl? Creature? None of them are sure anymore as she wrapped her arms around the creature
Everyone stared as the shadows coalesced into the form of none other than Danny Kent, casually holding the creature, that will surely haunt their nightmares for days to come, by the collar.
“How did you even get here?!” Danny laughed
“The old timepiece gave me a ride before booking it, you know how he is, but that’s not important. What’s important is why do you smell like pie?”
Danny laughs and he’s about to explain as Wally losses his shit and yells “what the actual hell is going on?!?”
“Hey man, I warned you. You just chose not to believe me.” He turns to Conner “meet my cousin Ellie, she’s my clone.” Conner looks at Ellie in surprise.
“I didn’t know you could make copies.” Danny comments
Ellie shrugs “their not as good as yours, I can never keep them stable enough for a fight, but they’re great for scaring teens.”
Robin comes up to Ellie “I gotta admit you had us going there.” He said with a laugh Ellie giggles in response
“That’s nothing, you should see Danny when he’s trying to scare people, he’s terrifying.” Danny laughs sheepishly
“That’s enough of that, Conner, ma should be putting the pie in the oven now, if we hurry we can help make dinner.” Conner looks at Danny confused.
“Don’t look at me like that, you’re family now cmon Clark’s gonna finish his chores before we get there at this rate.” With a huge smile the three head out.
Artemis turns to Wally with a scowl, what was that about ghosts not being scary, Wally gulped.
————
Clark did not get any pie that night, Lois made sure of it.

Amity Park Loves their Ghost Boy
For the Phic Phight prompts: Danny is used to being alone and relying on himself or his friends. When starts to lose a major fight and is on the verge of defeat, the townspeople surprise him with their commitment to their hero. (from @another-shameless-fangirl) and Amity Park loves their ghost boy. (from @underforeversgrace)
AO3 Link
[Warning for non-graphic violence]
Since becoming a halfa, a hero, Danny had learned to rely on only himself and his friends, and no one else. And with Sam, Tucker, and Jazz all attending out of town colleges while Danny went to Amity Park Community after high school to stay close to the portal, the number of people who had his back decreased to one. He'd grown used to being self-sufficient, to clamming up when anyone asked him about his bruises, to keeping everyone else out of the way. No one else had the strength to save his tail, so he had to be strong enough for everybody.
But he didn't think he was strong enough. Not this time.
The ghost was a massive brute, fifty feet tall and dressed like a gladiator, calling himself Omnipotus. He was wailing on Danny worse than Dash ever had, and he wouldn't let up. He had decided based on the stories of Danny defeating Pariah a few years ago, that the halfa was the most powerful ghost around, and Omnipotus was determined to take that title from him by force. Maybe he wasn't quite as powerful as Pariah Dark, but Danny also didn't have the Fenton Ecto-Skeleton giving him a power up this time, and even though he'd gotten stronger in the last three years, it looked like his number might finally be up.
"It's seems I will best you after all, oh Great One," Omnipotus boomed. He spat out the title with a sneer and raised his sword. "I am the strongest ghost in the Infinite Realms."
He started to swing his sword down upon Danny, who was far too tired to dodge or block, and just had time to accept his fate. He'd had a good run, if a short one. But the sword stilled in the air when a rock hit the enormous warrior in the foot.
"Stop it, you big meanie!" Omnipotus and Danny both turned to see who'd said that. "Don't hurt Phantom!"
A little girl, probably six or seven years old stood below them. She picked up another rock and threw it at the meanie's head. Omnipotus growled and made to attack her, but a woman, presumably the girl's mother, jumped in front of her. Danny gasped, and his hand shot out to help, despite knowing there was nothing he could do. Then the sword glanced off her body without doing any damage, despite its size.
"What witchcraft is this?!" Omnipotus demanded, swinging again to the same result.
"Allow me to introduce you to the Fenton Specter Deflector you creep!" The woman shouted. The little girl stepped out and threw another rock, angering Omnipotus further. "Best fifty-eight dollars I ever spent!"
"Enough!" Omnipotus shouted, then a rock came flying from the opposite direction, and another, and pencil sharpener, and a jawbreaker. A group of teens Danny recognized from Casper High, kids he'd never even learned the names of, or spoken to, who were freshmen when he was a senior, were chucking anything they could get their hands on at the ghost. "Insolent brats!"
"That's rich, coming from a pathetic, wannabe, loser in a skirt!" One of the teens shouted back. The others hurled equally biting insults, and shoes, and pens. Some of them just straight out booed Omnipotus, and was it Danny's imagination, or was the ghost starting to shrink. "You're such a desperate moron you have to chase down actual cool ghosts just to try and get yourself some legitimacy, but by stealing it instead of earning it, you're just exposing yourself as a fraud, a wuss, and a coward!"
"Ouch," Danny said, smirking up at Omnipotus, and yeah, the ghost was definitely starting to shrink. The spectral gladiator swung his sword at the teens, but they'd all been in ghost attacks before, and had developed damn good reflexes from them. The teens dodged, ducked, dove out of the way of the sword. Omnipotus swung again, but he couldn't seem to hit any of them.
Some other little kids had joined the first girl, and they were using the mother wearing the specter deflector as a human shield while they searched the surrounding area for more rocks and threw them at Omnipotus. Most of the rocks didn't even come close, but their displeasure was plenty clear.
"Meanie!"
"Grumpy-pants!"
"Doo-doo head!"
"Dummy!"
"Fart face!"
"That's it!" Omnipotus screeched, and turned intangible so the things that were thrown at him went right through him. "I'm not here to fight some measly, powerless mortals. I'm here for the ghost boy."
"Like hell you are!" Finally some more adults joined the fray. A woman with short hair and a flannel shirt jumped out of her pick up truck with a shotgun and took aim. "That's our ghost boy!"
"Your puny human weapons can't hurt—ARGHHG!" Omnipotus cut himself off with a screech as the woman fired twice and he was hit with a spray of green gunpowder. Apparently, he hadn't been to the mortal realm in some time if he didn't know about ghost hunting weapons.
"Fenton rounds," The woman said, reloading. "No Amity Parker over the age of eighteen doesn't have at least one anti-ghost weapon in their arsenal! Ain't that right June?" Another woman in a floral sundress hopped out of the passenger seat and activated a bedazzled Fenton Wrist Ray, taking aim at the ghost.
"Sure is, May," she said, and started firing at the ghost as well. "Step away from our hero!"
Danny had heard from his parents that there was a pretty big market for anti-ghost weapons and equipment in Amity Park these days, but he hadn't imagined that so many people would have them. And even those who didn't threw rocks, and shoes, and insults. More and more kept coming, people of all ages from all over town. Some of the people already there called up friends to come take potshots at the ghost who was giving Phantom trouble.
More and more people showed up saying things along the lines of, "I heard we were beating the crap outta some ghost?"
Omnipotus, who'd once been a giant, shrank smaller and smaller, trying and failing to defend himself against their booing and taunting. Some people had set up several ghost shields to resonate into a single, larger one to keep Omnipotus from escaping. A ring of people with specter deflectors held the front line, jumping in front of people when the ghost tried to launch a counter attack.
Danny, too weak to move much, had been carried out of the immediate danger zone a while ago to recuperate and recover his strength. He watched from a distance until Omnipotus had shrunk too small to be seen over the crowd.
"You alright, Phantom?" asked an elderly man who was sitting back to watch the show as he manned one of the ghost shield generators.
"Yeah," Danny said. "I'll be fine. I just... I can't believe that so many people would do this for me."
"You protect us all the time," the old man said kindly. "It's the least we can do to return the favor when you're in a bind."
"Who's got a Ghost Trap?!" someone shouted over the crowd.
"Here!" Danny said, holding up his Fenton Thermos. A cheer went up amongst the assembly as Danny was hauled to his feet and gently pushed back toward the front.
"Let this be a lesson, you gladiator creep," a woman said when Danny arrived and uncapped the thermos. "Amity Park loves our ghost boy, and we don't take too kindly to those who try to hurt him."
"Yeah!" said a little boy, then he stuck out his tongue at Omnipotus.
It seemed that, being the ghost of a gladiator, cheering made him stronger, and booing weakened him. This particular crowd wasn't cheering for him. The once enormous ghost now stood even smaller that the little boy taunting him, and he crossed his arms and pouted petulantly. Danny activated the thermos and sucked him into it, and the crowd cheered again.
Danny was bombarded with hugs, and high-fives, and handshakes as he slowly made his way out of the crowd. Most of his energy had returned while the good people of Amity Park took over the fight, so once the ghost shield generators were turned off, he was able to take to the skies without a problem. He flew home wearing a face-splitting grin. Wait 'til Sam and Tucker heard about this.

Okay, we're doing this.
Reincarnated King AU
As the name suggests, Danny is the reincarnation of a previous ghost king.
Reincarnation is a rare thing that usually only happens under circumstance of planned fate or curse.
Danny's previous life (who is just known as The King because he was around a long time ago and his name was forgotten over time but his legend wasnt) was a really virtuous ghost king. He united the infinite realms like never before, establishing rules and laws that still stand even hundreds of years later.
He was actually the ghost king that preceded Pariah Dark.
When Pariah Dark became a known conqueror with an army of the raised corpses of those he defeated he eventually came face to face with the ghost king himself because he was threatening to throw the infinite realms into chaos. Of course he wasn't the ghost king for nothing and Pariah couldn't beat him, instead he conscripted a sorcerer to put a powerful curse on The King but the sorcerer was like "his power will usually deflect any curses or magic and if it does get passed his power it will probably be altered in some way that we wont know about until later" but Pariah insisted so the sorcerer cursed The King to die the next time he won a battle.
The curse worked! It landed! But not without that catch of getting altered by The King's powers if it did get past them. It accidently turned it into a reincarnation curse, that The King would return in another body, another life once the infinite realms needed him to win battles once again.
Then poof! Hundreds of years after The King's defeat and Pariah Dark taking the throne, a little human was born, got turned into a half ghost and won the fight against Pariah Dark after he escaped the sarcophagus.
Pariah Dark kinda saw the resemblance between Danny and The King but he brushed it off at first, but then he was getting pushed back into the sarcophagus and he looked at Danny but instead it was like he was seeing The King again and he realised "oh fuck, that was the catch" right before being locked away again.
Anyway!
Word about Danny defeating Pariah Dark spreads and some ghosts from a kingdom not far from the Far Frozen kinda recognise the description of the ghost and then they look at the painting of their long gone beloved king that a sorcerer had cursed to die. Then they are all like "wait a minute..."
Now Danny has to deal with suddenly getting kidnapped/dragged away to this kingdom he is pretty sure he has never been to before (even though all the land marks are strangely familiar and he can navigate the streets and halls of the castle like second nature, like had done it a thousand times before) and being told that he is the reincarnation of their king??? It's not like reincarnation is even possible though right? (even though there is a lot of evidence and the team has basically all accepted that Tucker is a reincarnation of that Pharoah guy)
Then he looks at painting of the guy and "oh, that's me but I dont remember ever posing for that painting to be painted" (maybe once a long time ago he had a dream where a young painter ghost had insisted to be the one to paint his royal portrait to be hanged in the hall with all the paintings of the previous kings)
And they show him around the castle and Danny is getting very uncomfortable because he keeps on knowing things about this place he has never been too that he shouldn't know (like how the gardens used to have daisies but he- The King had gotten rid of them when he found out that one of the cleaners had an allergy to daisies in life and was still uneasy around them even though ghosts didnt have allergies, or how the kitchen staff always kept the cookies and any sugary ectoplasmic snacks hidden because he would always swipe them as a young prince-)
Let's just say that by the end of the day Danny manages to get home but not without a little bit of an existential crisis brewing (of course Sam, Jazz and especially Tucker are there to help him)
If I do ever write something with this AU it would probably be Danny getting stuck in his old body and needing to live his old life for a day (or maybe a little longer) while barely remembering it
