I want to apologize for my absence - I've been suffering from major writers block, haven't written in months🥲 That plus my depression kicking my ass makes for a very bad fic blog sadly...😭 Every day I hope I will find the will and inspiration to start writing again. It used to bring me so much joy and it was a really awesome creative outlet. Connecting with you lovely people was such a wonderful experience and I hope one of these days I'll get to experience it again.

I know you've been patient waiting for updates and I wish I had better news for you but as of now no new chapters are coming. I hope you forgive me but I am in a bad mental space and it just isn't happening. I do intend to continue/finish all the fics I started someday, I just honestly don't know when that will be. As stated above, my name is April, I use she/her pronouns, and I'm an alter. Physically 25 and Black-Latino. Since this is a sideblog, I like and follow from the host's main blog (found here).

I identify as conceptkin. Specifically, I am rage personified. The special kind of rage that comes from intense hurt and grief. From wounds that may never heal. This doesn't give me any fancy form, though. I'm just some girl. I've felt this way since I first came to be over a decade ago and since it hasn't changed in all this time I feel comfortable saying this is a solid part of my identity.

I don't mind talking to people so go ahead and send asks but I've gotta warn that sometimes I can be a little flat through text. I'm not mad, I just don't feel like using a million emojis and exclamation points. I won't really answer messages though because holding 1-on-1 conversations with strangers is hard.

Art is a growing interest of mine. I love pixel art and doodling and someday I'll get into Blender/3D modeling and animation. I'm starting to get into code (HTML and CSS). The Sims 4 and Minecraft are my current games but once I've got an actual PC I'll be playing a lot more. I also enjoy poetry, alternative subcultures, and word games like Scrabble and Boggle.

I listen to a decent mix of music (metal, rock, breakcore, techno, etc). Here's my playlist if you wanna get to know a chunk of my music taste. I also update the playlist fairly regularly these days and I love recommendations. Some things are only on YouTube so they didn't get included but it's whatever.

Short Hiatus

Hello everyone. I'll try to keep this short.

My heart goes out to all those hurting from loss. It is always tragic to have a young person pass away.

I won’t burden anyone with how I’m feeling right now.

Before hearing the news, I had already been planning to take a short break from this blog while I travel with my sister. I had attempted to do something similar a year ago, and I thought trying again would do me some good. Lord knows I could spend less time on my phone. With what's happened, I've decided to just take some time to breathe and extend the hiatus I was already going to take.

I will most likely pop up here and there during this break. Tumblr has been a safe place for me for a few years now, and while I don't feel okay scrolling as it is currently, I think I will find myself in a better headspace soon.

If you need me at all, for any reason, you can dm me. I'll be logging in every couple of days to make sure my account doesn't get terminated.

I am back home on June 4th.

Regarding fics featuring Moon Bin:

Personally, it feels disrespectful to write fanfiction about a person who has passed, however, I also do not want to erase all traces of him from here. Existing fics will stay up unless I feel strongly enough to remove them at any point, and no new ones will be written.

Because of this, Been There, Done That and subsequently Shoot Your Shot will be discontinued until further notice. Moon Bin was in SYS and was going to play a much larger role in the upcoming Aromatic, but I cannot go through with it. I'm sure most wouldn't want me to go through with it. I can barely stand talking about it like this… If I feel up to it, I may someday restructure BTDT to exclude Astro. This may take some time.

2024 Exciting Update in Everything

It’s been a month! omg… When you start to be in a flow in doing everything, time flies and you wouldn’t even notice. I was like in a time machine again.

I remember it was the golden week, and when I was back to work, there were tons of task waiting to be done. And then my arm hurt and I didn’t know why. Luckily I had gotten my current work all done, so I decided to take some rest for my arm while I was to improve my productivity system and update everything for my art pages.

And it’s a month that has passed. I feel better with my arm now! And with the improved system, I feel like I can start to get more things done!

I've updated my Kofi goal and revamped my commission board and page! Prices unchanged and there will be a supporter discount and discount offer for Pokémon SV characters requests this summer! No new types added yet, but I’m exploring chibi style, sketch collage, and character design—

Especially character design, it’s the comms type I’ve always wanted to do! Just like concept designs I did for my original characters! I think I will open this type someday after I've posted and shared some art of my original characters! Stay tuned if you like my style for the concept designs or are interested in this comms type! I’ll make a pinned blog about my comms and things later!

Speaking of OCs, I’m planning more original content on my art pages, sharing what I’ve drawn for them and making new pieces about them. I’ve been talking about it but now I feel it’s time. Really excited and can’t wait for you to meet them! I didn’t really draw them all so this will go with some concept design process update, it must be fun to share!

Also, I decide to open a new blog for my original work! Actually, that was what I was doing with this blog at the beginning, though it ends up becoming a fanart-focused blog now. I will make this blog remain fanart-focused, sharing mine and rebloging others', and my fanfics will also be shared here.

Then I have to mention my King Mettaton story. I haven't given it up despite translation challenges and everything. I’m starting to think maybe I should share the fic even if it’s still untranslated. The translation softwares can help readers nowadays. After all, if I don't start sharing the story, no one will ever read and know the story. I finally got over my perfectionism I guess… I’ll urge myself that translating at least one sentence a day and call it still a progress, so someday I will eventually complete the fanfic translation. I will stick with the plan that sharing the story on Tumblr. But maybe also on Ao3? I’ve heard that is the site where most people share their fanfics, perhaps I could open an account there for my KMTT story and other fanfics too.

Lastly, I’m launching my Patreon! Some supportors suggested it, and I think it’s a good timing to make another fresh start for my artist journey, after I’ve made this far. Updates on Patreon will sync with Kofi, so you can support me on your preferred platform. I'm exploring more content and offer too!

Life gets busy, but connecting with you all and sharing art bring me joy! I just can’t imagine a life without all of these, so even though I’d be busy sometimes, I will always manage to come back no matter what happened! I’ll keep up the pace and be more active on here!

Welcome, welcome!

Heya people, I wanted to start off this first blog with an introduction of myself and telling you a bit about my reasoning behind this blog. First of all, hi~! You can call me Kaycee. I am a hobby artist and crochet enthusiast who recently got diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses. I have a wonderful little dog, who's name is Kaida! I'm very fond of musicals and music in general and I love to sing along as well. For art I mostly draw digitally and traditionally with colored pencils, but I am also working on learning to work with Gouache. Crocheting wise I am mostly into Amigurumi, although, making a biiig blanket is also something I really want to do someday! Because of my recent diagnosis' my life has been going through a big loopty loop, leaving me searching for ways to cope with all the things that come my way. Constantly searching for the right treatments, what symptoms come from what, what doctor can help with this, etc, it's quite a lot to be honest with you all.

I can't imagine me being the only person having gone through this.

Because of this, I want to share my journey through this all, both the good and the bad, intertwined with updates and blogs about my creative hobbies. Maybe it will help others feel less alone and more understood, and at worst, at least I've found something to try to see if it can help me cope. I can't wait to see where this journey will bring me. No doubt there will be difficult times, but nothing I can't conquer, nor you can't do!

Hey man Yknow what I’m actually kinda curious about what the basic plot of Roseverse is ngl. I mean from what I’ve seen habit is a big ol Grumpus muppet kinda fellow(BASED AS HELL BTW) soo ermmm, lore. Plz? *Looks at you with big ol eyes*

Okay I was gonna reply to this with a whole comic but it's taking a wHILE and I don't wanna keep you waiting THAT long so. Here's an answer in text for now!!

Roseverse didnt start out as an AU. It was a bunch of loose ideas all the way back in late 2021 for an idea I was struck with like when that Greek dude with the bathtub and the gold cried EUREKA! Except, you know, instead of making a huge scientific discovery I just made a bunch of nerd shit instead. Which is SOOO Haiderrrr /lh /affectionate

The idea was " What if Habit and Kamal were childhood friends"? ( Plaintext: What if Habit and Kamal were childhood friends? ) And so I worked off that basic premise. I took Habits diary pages, analysed them, and drew and thought out what he'd be going through and looked like at the time, with Kamal as well to mutually play off of each other. I did this ALL with my very good friend @prrusten 's help, hell we didn't even mean to make something so big, we were just talking and having fun and hitting it off!

But yeah. Here we are...Almost 3 years later! And now it's become a whole AU called Roseverse, after its Flower Kid sona/insert, Rose T. Flower. But it's not actually about him HwjjskHAKSJSJ--and its branched out beyond just Habismal though TBH Gillis is still the MOST underdeveloped character in the whole thing LOL I'll think of ideas for you one day someday muscleman. It's changed a lot too. There was a phase with Mad Scientist Kamal and everything. I don't think I'll ever post everything aha! But I will surely share content while I can.

Infact one of the changes is Habit's design...! You've seen some ofthe newer refs as opposed to Grumpus looking Habit, he looks more like a marionette. I still dearly love the old design...but messy stuff just happened and I feel immensely wrong using it again for newer art now. So I needed a specific revamp to indicate change for me. I don't really wanna get into every detail but I'll make a appropriate post about it one day or like update my pinned when I'm ready and know.

Fanfic Progress Update 151

HEY PEOPLE I'M BACK, WOO! Good news: lots of fics in the horizon. Bad news: they're neither Zelda nor Hazbin. Sorry :D Hope you liked the Sonic the Hedgehog movies, and Agent Stone/Doctor Robotnik ship in particular, because that's what's on the menu for the next while.

I'll be resuming my writing hour and Saturday updates, I'm just doing this one right now so that I can add a link to this blog in the fic I'm about to post very soon and it won't look super awkward.

Keep the Cuddles Platonic -challenge

Fandom: Sonic the Hedgehog, movieverse

Summary: Doctor Robotnik is simultaneously touch averse and touch starved, which results in a plan to "get the touching needs over with" in the most efficient way he could think of: cuddles overnight, when he wouldn't be doing anything useful anyway. Agent Stone was not privy to the plan until they arrived at their hotel room for their business trip.

Progress: First chapter is finished and will be posted within an hour from posting this, I'm just giving it a quick last minute proofread. Second chapter is finished, will be posted next Thursday - there will be a sneak-peek in the next progress update. Third - and last - chapter not started yet, but I will have two weeks to write it, so worry not.

Fandom: Sonic the Hedgehog, movieverse

Summary (temporary): Not many people know this, but Doctor Robotnik is actually deaf and uses hearing aids to make up for it. Agent Stone does not know this, he just kind of assumes he's told to learn sign language upon being assigned for some other, mysterious reasons, and not as a "just in case" measure.

Progress: This fic will have three chapters (maybe four if the fic decides to unexpectedly go wild). The second chapter is almost done, despite the first one not being written yet. I'm actually not sure if this fic will end up being Stobotnik aside from Stone being Big Gay as usual. We'll see what the third chapter will bring once I get there (tho I'll be writing the first chapter first, lol.)

Summary (temporary):

Wanted: a yesman who is capable of operating an espresso machine, has at least a higher IQ than your average amoeba, and is willing to put work before having a personal life, or indeed a life, period. The extra in your pathetic paycheck is good, but the strain in your psyche will make up for the positives. Forfeit your basic human rights and apply today if this sounds like you. 

Maybe it said something about Agent Stone - and probably not good things - that the poster in the cafeteria's pin board piqued his interest more than any of his official assignments had for a good long while. 

Dr. Robotnik, huh?

Progress: Listen. This one will be a massive longfic. Not Adventure Gone Mini massive (I pray), but at least as long as Afterlife. So like, probably around 20 chapters. It's a bit hard to estimate at this point, so the number is subject to change. My writing hours will be devoted to this fic.

Now for the actual progress. I have the first two chapters written (first is a prologue, so about half the length) and the third one is halfway done. I also have two halfway written chapters that don't yet know their exact placement within the fic (somewhere in the early middle, but like, are they chapters 5 and 6 or 7 and 8, nobody knows). I also have a rough map of the doctor's lab drawn, because I need to keep track of their movements. Send help.

Guess what time it is! If you guessed "Update time" then you are correct!. (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و So for this update post, I will talk about future posts and the future of the Tumblr blog and things around that matter. Don't worry, they are all good things!. Now, lets get started.

First things first. Regarding me posting on this blog, I'm planning on spreading things out. what I mean by this is that I'm going to try making a schedule for when I post and what I post. I took a break for like a month recently due some life changing, well, changes. I needed time to adapt thus, the AFK month. ( >﹏<。) So that being said, I plan on making a schedule for when I post and what I post. I do know that I want to at least post part of a WIP every week or two. (Giving myself procrastination room) In between those WIP posts, I'll post game screenshots, re-blogs, maybe even my own art. (I do have another drawing of my Twst OC.) I'll do this to make sure I'm always posting something to keep myself engaged and active. My full in dept schedule will be posted on a later date though.

Next, My A03 page. I have A03 page where I cross post my works from here to there and vice versa. Of course my WIP post can't be posted on A03 so unfortunately, A03 readers will have to wait until the WIP works are completed in order to read them, which is why I have my Tumbr blog to do so. (Wait for my A03 readers! (″ロ゛) ) This is also why I plan on making the posting schedule to get works out faster for the A03 readers.

Now for Work related updates. My 3rd work, "Party at the Oasis!" will soon be finished. I know, it's been a while. I'M TRYING! :(´ཀ`」 ∠): I have started to finish the last part so it should be done soon. Once it's done, I will post the full thing on A03 and here on Tumblr as always. I cant wait!

Bonus Time!: I have made two new banners of two new series that I will be working on. So far I only have two, one for Heartslabyul and one for Scarabia. Each dorm will have one sooner or later. okay !! so cyra was created with a friend of mine a couple years ago, i think i played the challenge for about a week before outdated cc made me drop it (exactly like the classic legacy). cyra got to husband number 5 and she had 2 kids, and i don't remember her last name and i didn't write it down anywhere and i think that's both funny and sad. curse the game for automatically updating it when you get married !!! 😡

i don't remember much from my nightmare legacy, so when i opened it for the first time in a long time i was surprised to find all the sims i did remember had DIED. which. given the challenge made sense, but anyways so i revived anika to make her over. she had already completed her challenge and passed it on to one of her three sons, but she was a globally-renowned comedian and a stylish old lady. i love and miss her.

Name Change (Formerly MalecCrazedAuthor)

Hey y'all. Alas, all good things, yadda yadda. It's been four years, and since I'm not terribly Shadowhunters active (though I still love it dearly and always will) I should probably start symbolically letting go.

With the possibility of new Bioware games coming in the next year or two, it's possible this blog may transition to being more Dragon Age/Mass Effect-centric. Which is ironic, in a way, since it's Dragon Age fandom that initially brought me to Tumblr some twelve years ago.

Also, since the re-release of the Cut & Run books by @abiroux and @riptidepublishing is actively in the works, I'm totally here for that too. (Someone PLEASE tell me we'll be getting Warrior's Cross as well. I'm DESPERATE to have it as an audiobook, if for no other reason than I need to know who the narrator will be.)

I'm still perfectly happy to dish Shadowhunters as well (and maybe someday when my CFS stops killing my ability to write, I'll even be able to finish those fics or, who knows, even write original stuff again.)

So, I'm not abandoning Shadowhunters or Malec fandom. I'm just updating my interests a little.

My main fic at the moment is To Kill A Killer (abbreviated to TKAK), a story featuring Nightmare's gang that was described by my brother as "Sans replaces a Sans within a group consisting of Sans, Sans, Sans, Sans, and don't forget Sans, and there's a subplot that's a Sans X Sans with Sans as the third wheel." We got angst, shenanigans, secrets, cats, and a group of murderers who don't know how to handle their friend's death. Beta-read by my aforementioned bestie/partner Tilly. I also have a not-very-original book of incorrect quotes, and a one-shots book that's open for requests, although I can't guarantee when said requests will be completed, since my schedule for updating it kind of went out the window. Sorry about that.

Although I've written some fanfiction before (I definitely wrote something for homework or when I couldn't cope after reading the ending of the "Maze Runner" series), I only got involved in writing fanfiction when I graduated from uni. I was struggling with writing my master's thesis and then I thought that as compensation I would write something of my own and publish it on ao3. When I finally considered my master's thesis finished, I started writing a Sakuatsu fic (which was my main ship at the time) inspired by Fruits Basket (which changed my life). When I saw that someone actually read this fic and even liked it, I was really happy. Other people's reaction made me start writing more

I'm convinced that Teen Wolf, which I watched in high school, made me a fan of Male/Male ships. And what's more, it was all Sterek's fault! I really hated Stiles and Lydia ship because I hated that woman for a long time. Stiles is the best-developed Teen Wolf character, and I felt sorry that he was so obsessed with her. But all his scenes with Derek (who was my top look-wise) were SO GOOD!! This is sexual tension!! All their interactions!!! PERFECTION!! When someone asked me about Stiles Ships, I thought it would be best for him to be with Derek, because a relationship with any of the Teen Wolf girl wasn't convincing to me. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of my obsession hahah.

They both really like animals, (Fushigoro is definitely less expressive than Itadori in this regard, but Yuji definitely believes that nothing cheers Megumi up like animals do), so they are very present in their relationship. They constantly buy each other small animal-themed gifts (Fushiguro's favorite mug is the one Itadori gave him, dogs-themed of course). Some key chains, stuffed animals, etc. They go on dates to dog or cat cafes. Together they volunteer in shelters. They go to nature reserves, parks, zoos... Fushiguro talks about various interesting facts about the animals and Itadori listens to him, marveling at how smart his boyfriend is. And for Fushiguro, Itadori is like the sweetest golden retriever ever.

If someone follows me on tumblr, likes some of my posts or reblogs some of my posts with tags that will give me a signal that they want some interaction lmao. Or I'll just see on their blog that we share interests (i.e. that we like the same series or characters lmao). It's enough for me to feel some solidarity, that we have something in common.

Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games should be alone. I don't think she needed Gale or Peeta. Her romantic plot was unnecessarily created. Honestly, I wasn't a bigger fan of any ship, because in my eyes Katnisss is not the type of person who needs to be romantically involved with someone. She is capable of love, of course, she loves her family and friends but I don't see her in a relationship with anyone.

If you break your nail being outside and you don't have a file with you, you can file the nail against a rough wall. I saw it on TV once and it's actually quite a useful tip.

As I wrote before, incest fis are big No-No for me 💀 If in the fic the romantic relationship is between siblings, I have to evacuate immediately. Or when at first glance I think it's a love triangle with siblings, but it's a threesome... Please, someone give me holy water

Writers Truth or Dare Ask Game

It's 12am and I'm sitting here debating which fanfic WIP I should work on again q-q

The two Monster High AU ones could honestly be released interchangeably so I could work on either or (I mean, Trapped In The Rain happens after BOTH of these fics in the timeline so it's not like I'm hyperspecific about chronological releases). Though the Clawdeen POV fic takes place a few months before the start of freshman year and the Frankie POV fic starts even further back, but is mainly based on their first week's experiences being in a public high school for the first time, the beginning acts almost like a prologue. Also debating whether or not it should be written in 1st person to emulate Frankie's narrations throughout the G1 films (Also kinda reminds me of Cady's narrations in Mean Girls 2003, it fits the "fish out of water" trope so well).

But the PPG fic is JUST A SMIDGE AWAY FROM THE BEST FREAKING PART FOR ME TO WRITE IN THIS PARTICULAR BATCH as if Chapters 8, 9 and 10 weren't already absolute BANGERS to work on and have at least one scene that made me go "THAT'S THE ONE DUDE I AM COOKING" y'all are not ready cause I'm sure not lol. And I literally have like 2 1/2 chapters left to write before getting to my editing drafts, and I've been dying to share what I've got and finally update the fic after...I don't even wanna know how many months. :'D Definitely over 6 at this point, I am SO SORRY.

The last thing is a super secret 4th thing (and no it's not the potential Miraculous rewrite, that's debatable on whether I'm making it as of right now but we'll see cause I still have enough ideas and interest for it, just wanna get through this long-term WIP first). I'm probably not gonna share it on the blog or my AO3 but that's only because it's a different kind of WIP (also different fandom than any of my previous works) and idk I'll just keep it at that. But I've been working on it 5+ years (even earlier than the first XXY drafts back in 2019) and my LORD do I want to just complete the mfkin first draft that I'm only like 50 scenes away from finishing bhngvfdcfgvbdcx ugh

Also I've been drawing a lot more lately so expect some MH and/or PPG art whenever I complete more than a sketch lol. I LOVED making my little title cover thing for Trapped In The Rain back in October (the perfect excuse to let my shipping brainrot go feral) & sharing my AU version of Stitched In Style Frankie art (which btw idk if I ever mentioned it but my cousin is the GOAT and bought her doll for me as a Christmas gift!!! She's hanging out in-box with my G3 dolls). Having art to go alongside chapter updates for XXY and oneshot uploads for my MH AU is something I have a lot of fun making and it's something I would like to be consistent with moving forward. I will also probably make art covers for Chs. 1-7 of XXY too because I had felt like doing it at the time of uploads but just got too busy with life stuff. Last year was awful for me besides these fics and my blog. :') Also istg I need to make that Instagram account for my art that I share here! Maybe someday, if I do I'll let y'all know.
