“It’s not my fault it’s so easy,” Drake muttered without looking away from his project. “And Batman wasn’t dead the last time. You bring back three people and suddenly everyone thinks you’re a budding necromancer. It shouldn’t be my fault I’m using the available resources for the best solution.”

Constantine somehow looked even more dead than Elle as he pointed to the teenager that had taken up residence on the counter, the rest of the space covered with no less than four laptops. “Do not see him as a role model. He broke reality that first time.”

Man, she already knew they were going to get along like a house on fire. Elle waved cheerfully at Drake. “Quack.” She said. Constantine just sighed and went for his lighter.

Drake looked at her in befuddlement. “Quack?”

“A drake is a duck yeah? So, quack.”

“I prefer the drakes being dragons route.” He said. “More mysterious and powerful.”

“Ah. Rawr then.” The lesser of the two options. Drake had clearly never met a true duck. Maybe Elle could sneak one in one of these days and introduce Drake to a better namesake.

When Frostbite finds out that he'd taken his eyes off Snowdrift for five seconds and ended up in the living realm with no preparation, very short notice, or plan, he will never trust Danny with babysitting again!

Swirling around, Danny stands in front of Snowdrift, hiding their form barely, their fluff and form peeking from behind the legs.

"Greetings! My name is Snowdrift!"

Danny glances at the yeti cub as they stand next to him.

"Snowdrift, this is a stranger danger situation, remember what I told you about those?"

The cub peers up at him, confused. "Name no name and call for Dad?"

The teen nods.

Snowdrift looks at the hero, and a light bulb goes off. They quickly slide back behind Danny's form, simply peeking from the side now, curious.

"You saw nothing." The halfa turns to the hero, grinning nervous yet threatening.

"I'm not sure this is how it goes—"

to me it makes perfect sense that when buck comes out to him, eddie doesn’t hesitate for a moment to be supportive. because he loves buck (to the core). so of course he’s gonna be supportive and he’s gonna make sure buck knows that everything is ok.

eddie is a little overwhelmed, he’s taking in a lot of information. he just learned something very important and unexpected about buck and that’s already enough to have him stop and think “oh, really?”. but buck didn’t go on a date with just some guy, did he? he went out with someone who he was also getting close to, and he had no idea. and let’s not forget that eddie was already going through a crisis of his own, which made buck’s confession hit even harder.

out of all these emotions, he choses to focus on the most important one: making sure buck feels safe and loved. accepted. and so he reassures him, he jokes around as he always does and then hugs him. that’s exactly what buck needs and so that’s what he does.

but what happens after that? what happens when eddie actually takes a moment to sit with this information? is he gonna start rethinking his relationship with buck (or even his interactions with tommy)? is he gonna realise that what he and buck have isn’t just a normal friendship? is he gonna wonder if he never saw buck that way because he didn’t think (or he didn’t know) he was an option? what then?

that’s what i wanna know.

Zizhen: Tries to discreetly read… inappropriate romance novels under his desk. When confronted, he stops and swears he’ll pay attention only to go right back to reading. May have to try a more aggressive approach and ask him to read his… ‘literature’ of choice in front of the class.

Jingyi: Usually falls asleep five minutes into the lesson and drools all over his guqin. After waking him up, he pulls a piece of chicken out of his sleeve and eats it in the middle of class. I don’t know where he’s getting so much chicken from and why he’s keeping it in his sleeves but an intervention might be needed.

Young Master Jin: Pays attention but only to the parts that explain how guqin can be used in combat. Has used the strings of his guqin like a bow to shoot various objects at Jingyi’s head. Threatens to break my legs if I give him a bad grade then begs me to tutor him when Sect Leader Jiang threatens to break his legs after finding out about his bad grade.

I have a lot of thoughts about ONK right now but the main one is how much I fucking LOVE Miyako. Her character development going from “I’m going to reveal the truth about these twins to the public so I can get tons of money” to “I love these kids as if they were my own and I know I can’t ever replace their mother but I will be here for them always” makes me want to fucking cry. She really girlbossed it up with Strawberry Productions too. I’d do anything for her
