How to bring *luxury* into your life while on a budget
Luxury on a budget is absolutely achievable! It's about focusing on creating an experience of indulgence and pampering, rather than just expensive things. Here are some ideas:
Redefine Luxury for You:
Focus on Experiences: Luxury isn't just material possessions. Think about what makes you feel truly pampered and relaxed. Is it a long, candlelit bath with a good book? A picnic in a scenic spot? Prioritize experiences that create lasting memories.
Quality over Quantity: Invest in a few key items you'll love and use for years, rather than buying a lot of cheap things. This could be anything from a luxurious body lotion to a cozy throw blanket.
Create a Luxurious Atmosphere at Home:
Declutter and Deep Clean: A clean and organized space instantly feels more luxurious. Light some scented candles, put on some calming music, and dim the lights for a spa-like atmosphere.
DIY Spa Treatments: Skip the expensive spa and recreate the experience at home. Give yourself a foot massage with homemade sugar scrub, use a facial mask made with natural ingredients, or draw a relaxing bath with essential oils.
Elevate Everyday Activities: Take the time to savor a cup of tea in the morning. Set the table for dinner with nice plates and silverware, even if it's just a simple meal.
Seek Out Free or Low-Cost Luxuries:
Embrace Nature: Take a hike in a beautiful park, have a picnic by the beach, or simply sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Nature is a free and luxurious way to de-stress and reconnect.
Cultural Gems: Many museums and galleries offer free or discounted admission days. Check your local library for free museum passes or online resources for virtual tours of famous collections.
Learn a New Skill: Taking a free online class in something that interests you, like photography or cooking, can be a stimulating and luxurious way to spend your time.
Remember: Luxury is about feeling good and taking care of yourself. By being creative and resourceful, you can incorporate these elements into your life, regardless of your budget.

"Guys, Josie and I have awesome news! You know how Arizona finally opened its first few detransition facilities? Guess whose doctor sent along two requests for us to participate? That's right, we are SO psyched he put in those requests and we got accepted. We each got a letter in the mail with our doctor's inquiry and it went something like,
'Dear (Director of Our County's Detrans Facility)
My two patients, Olivia and Josie, are optimal candidates to test your facility's detransition program. Both are males who have lived as girls most of their lives, going on blockers in junior high, and a substantial dose of hrt in high school. These boys love 'living as girls', and have exaggerated feminine figures (excessively big breasts, large asses and wide hips), and don't express much interest in detransitioning, despite me suggesting it as an option quite often. I would love for nothing more than to see these young men finally detransition and embrace male puberty.
Sincerely, Dr. Blah-Blah-Blah'
We read the copy we got in the mail and immediately whipped out our pathetic three-inch cocks and jerked off..... well, rubbed them like girls until we came. Sure, our doctor has wanted us to detrans for some time but we've been hesitant to do it. We both want huge cocks, to finally start growing facial hair, and to get chest hair and stuff, not to mention these big fat boobs make us both crazyyyy dysphoric like they're so huge. 🤢🤢🤢 But we liked being 'girls' just enough that we were scared to detrans, although we've both been thinking about it..... even if we don't tell our doctor.
Soooo, finally the choice was taken from our hands! We'll be detransed by the state in just a few days, this is SO exciting! We are absolutely ecstatic, calling up all of our other local trans 'girl' friends, asking if they got picked and a lot have! We're on Discord practically losing our minds anticipating our long-awaited detransition! From what we've seen of videos recorded in these places, it's like a big spa where you're given luxury accommodations and put on testosterone, as well as a massive dose of dick-growth pills. They basically use pumps and medication to make your cock 15+ inches, thick around as our upper arms, and our balls will be forced to grow to the size of grapefruits, at least! Oh, and naturally they remove our breasts shortly after we arrive!
Then we'll be put in a theater, where they'll show us extremely filthy, hardcore porn as our cocks are pumps by a machine, conditioning us to be turned on by the extreme pornography they show us. Stuff like graphic public gangbangs, free use and rape alike, pissing on girls, throat fucking them until they puke, all the girls are thick, massively pregnant, unable to escape, their breasts at least double even our size. And we'll be subjected to watching this for hours on end every day until our brains finally break and the only thing that can get us off is going out, finding some cute pregnant girls with nice plump asses and to pounce on them, jamming our oversized cocks into them like wild animals until we cum--and oh, I hear these orgasms are incredible, like shooting a whole liter of cum, rope after rope, your brain feeling totally shattered from the high, so much so the only thing you can even think about is finding pussy to fuck, just like us men are meant to be! ❤️ Wish us luck..... we'll be rooting for all you fake girls out there to get picked next!"

What Is It Like in a *Posh* Moroccan Hammam? 🫧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I say "posh," I mean upmarket hammams in a wealthy residential areas, not hammams in hotels. This post is about authentic hammams used by wealthy Moroccans, not ones aimed at tourists.
Decor
One of the first things you'll notice in upmarket hammams is that the decor is far more elaborate than in basic hammams. Decor will of course vary from place to place, but to use the example of the hammam next to my great-aunt's place in Casablanca I always make sure to go to:
The walls in both the main washroom and the sauna room are made out of blue and white marble in a traditional zellige pattern. There are also ornate sinks jutting out of the walls also of blue and white marble, whereas in basic hammams there will just be faucets. The sauna has long benches made of marble across the length of each side of the room, and the massage tables are slabs of heated light grey marble.
Regardless of the individual decor choices of each hammam, each building will always be spacious, with high ceilings and curved arches.
Ambience
Upmarket hammams feel luxurious, but understated, focusing on relaxation and subtle elegance rather than opulence and "wowing" people.
The lighting will normally be natural, but if artificial lighting is used it will be subtle and non-intrusive. Whereas in basic hammams it will be bright and practical, and in tourist hammams it will be dim with lighting coming from lanterns and candles (ambient, but not practical for visibility).
Although some may have private areas, authentic hammams in wealthy areas will generally follow the tradition of communal bathing.
As they are located in residential areas rather than tourist hotspots, and as they are a lot larger than basic hammams, they don't feel overcrowded and the experience is more intimate.
Services Offered
Upmarket hammams offer more services than basic hammams, but unlike tourist hammams, all the services are based in authentic Moroccan traditions, whereas in hotels the hammams offer a blend of the basic Moroccan services (sauna, sabon beldi, etc) and services similar to what you'd find in Western spas.
Authentic services you will find in upmarket Moroccan hammams include:
The usual sauna, cleansing with sabon beldi, deep exfoliation and ghassoul clay masks you'll find in every hammam in the country
Massages with argan oil, ghassoul clay, jasmine oil, amber oil, olive oil, honey, or herbal compresses
Herbal steam baths with tabrima, eucalyptus, lavender or mint
Rosewater and orange blossom water rinses
Henna treatments (it's not just used for temporary tattoos but has benefits for the skin and hair)
Facials with products like argan oil, sweet almond oil, honey, and saffron
Foot baths with herbs, oils, and/or milk
(Services will depend on each individual hammam)
The treatments are all high quality by staff who really work for their money. The attendants will scrub off absolutely every bit of dead skin on your body, and I have honestly never been as thoroughly massaged as I have been in these hammams.
Relaxation Lounge
In basic hammams, you just put your clothes on and leave after adjusting to room temperature, but in upmarket ones, you relax in the hammam after towelling off.
After you're dressed, the staff will lead you to another room. To use the hammam local to my great aunt as an example again, the relaxation lounge in this one:
Is full of white chaise longues, one facing another so that you can chat with your companion. They each have a low table in between them, on which a staff member will put down a silver tray, which will have a lit candle which will also have ghassoul clay integrated into it. There will also be glycerin preserved rose petals scattered on the tray, and of course refreshments - a bottle of cold water (much needed after all the heat and steam) and refreshing peppermint tea in a floral cup and matching saucer.
In other upmarket hammams they might have leather couches or armchairs instead of chaise loungues, regular candles without the clay, and Moroccan mint tea instead of peppermint herbal tea, but they'll all follow the same format.
Would I Recommend Trying One of These Hammams?
If you want a luxurious but 100% authentic hammam experience, absolutely! Although hotel hammams are surely fun with their swimming pools, etc, if you want to really experience true Moroccan culture and feel classy while you do it, I'd recommend finding one in a middle or upper class residential area.
They're also inexpensive if you're on Western wages - the one I described in the post is €4 for entry and €15 for a massage, and pretty much all similar hammams will be in that general wheelhouse. Whereas I have no doubt that the ones in hotels are way more expensive - the tourist price vs the local price.
Tips For Going to Authentic Hammams
Whereas in hotels the staff will speak multiple languages, in ones the locals use usually they'll know just Darija and French, maybe basic English but there's no guarantee. If you know French it will be fine, but if not get a Moroccan friend to accompany you.
Shave before going. The attendants will only exfoliate you if your skin is hairless, as the kessa glove can more effectively remove dead skin and impurities without hair in the way, and with smooth skin there's no chance of the rough gloves tugging on your hair and causing your skin to become irritated. The subsequent skincare products applied to your body will also be easier to apply evenly and will be better absorbed. If you haven't shaved beforehand they'll just give you a razor.
You can buy toiletries like soaps and towels, but it's also acceptable to bring your own.
Don't be afraid to get naked. Moroccan women strip down to their panties. Nobody will look at you, everyone is concentrating on bathing (wearing your bra or swimsuit is honestly more likely to bring attention to you than going topless as that's how people will know you're a tourist). You'll see many different body types and all ages in the hammam, so don't worry about being judged if you have stretch marks, extra weight, etc
Men and women bathe in separate areas or buildings, so don't worry about the opposite sex seeing you. You might occasionally see a mother taking her young son with her (as in, toddler age), but never older boys and men.
You can talk and laugh, but don't shout or giggle loudly or anything. It's meant to be a relaxing experience for everyone, and as the rooms are so spacious, loud noises will carry across them.
The massages are really thorough, so be prepared. I've been massaged everywhere from the insides of my ears to my privates in these hammams. If you have anywhere you'd rather they don't touch, communicate it with the massage therapist before getting your massage done, as the norm is to massage literally everywhere.

-poke with stick- you alive? where’s the spooky szn music stuff?? i sent requests twice but you ignore. #feelsbadman #imannoying T_T.
I'm back (not really)! Sowwie. Hiatus, kind of. On vacation with friends/fam for my birthday (it's Oct 23rd but I celebrate the entire month cause it's the only time I get to be self centered, lol), so yeah. You're not annoying me. We've been on vacation since the 12th. My set up is back at home, so I couldn't take requests for or make any music right now even if I wanted to. Quick update (wanted to share this since I never make personal posts anymore):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ocean sunset here is so beautiful, I love simple things like this. It looks like the sky is hand painted every day. My favorite thing here is the view (& this bathroom). As soon as you walk through the lobby it's like boom - vacation. The best thing about traveling, for me, is feeling like I'm on a high. The rooms overlook the pool & beach, the suite is a full apartment. Also obsessed with this shower & tub.
Tumblr media
The location is so convenient cause there's tons of restaurants not far from the island & onsite. We had a poolside lunch delivered yesterday from one of the restaurants nearby & there were different healthy options available (shrimp salad, veggie rolls, sandwiches, fruit, ceviche, etc) which I love. The executive chef at the the resort has a passion for farming & local cooking so pretty much all the herbs & the greens used on-property are grown right here, in a huge greenhouse. It's so cool. New plants are springing up!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They also have a spa, golf course that was fun, gym, breakfast cafe, indoor pool, onsite activities like nature tours, fitness classes & a kids' club. We visited the spa, which was fun, I had a hot stone massage & facial while Yas had a deep tissue massage. & every night we've been bar hopping like drunks, lmao. We had scallops, steak & potatoes, bruschetta-watermelon & feta pizza with cucumber - a new favorite of mine, & cake for dessert.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was my idea to roast marshies & make s'mores, trying to get into the fall spirit. 😏 Also, we did some fall shopping earlier in the month & let me tell you I think I have a candle problem. We bought a lot of scents. Sunrise Woods, Cinnamon Vanilla, Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Caramel Pumpkin Swirl, Cinnamon Irish Cream & Vampire Blood. Vampire Blood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I digress. We're leaving tomorrow & are going to spend the rest of the month at Disney Paris for Halloween. So I'll probably be back home sometime November & then I can do music requests (& post a really funny Pumpkin Spice video that I've been wanting to). I'm just taking a break/focusing on my life & my family. Don't wait up. 🖤

date headcanons // blue lock
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
;; just some brief date headcanons, gender neutral reader, a lot of characters <33
Isagi- Just going on walks + using one of those apps where it makes random coordinates, and you have to walk to get there like Randonautica. You’d probably end up lost and have to use a gps to get back home.
Bachira – He would be super excited to take you to the aquarium on your day off. He would drag you to go see the dolphins first and buy you a dolphin plushie after.
Nagi- You’d probably go on a date with Nagi that’s simple like picnics. You would set up your food on a cute picnic cloth on the grass and converse with each other about your week. After eating Nagi would fall asleep on the spot.
Reo- Reo would take you to the theatre to watch a musical or ballet. He always gets front row seats so you can watch the show up close. After which, he would treat you to a fancy dinner.
Chigiri- He'd invite you to go outdoor skating in the wintertime. I feel like Chigiri would naturally be good at skating, so he’d help you out if you don’t know how to skate.
Rin- He would take you to a haunted house for fun. The dynamic between you two would be so funny and chaotic since you’re screaming your head off and Rin is just straight-faced the entire time.
Sae- After a long week, Sae would treat you to a spa day. Sae probably has an annual spa pass so you could go whenever you want. You’ll get the whole experience facials, massages, manicures etc...
Shidou- Shidou would be very excited to take you to the amusement park. He definitely begs you to go on the most terrifying rides they offer to step out of your comfort zone, you do, and you end up feeling very sick afterwards.
Barou- On an early Saturday morning you could find yourself going to the farmer’s market with Barou. He always knows which produce to buy and which to avoid. After you’re done shopping, you go home together and make a breakfast full of the freshest ingredients.
Kaiser- Would book a room at a luxury hotel for the entire weekend to impress you, which works. He’s probably friends with the staff too so you’d get special treatment.
Kenyu- On a Friday evening he would invite you to watch the fireworks with him at the local park. He may or may not have look at you more than the fireworks.
Aiku- He would take you to do something that he is already good at like bowling just to show off. He would be very surprised when you kept getting strikes and ultimately beat him.

*slowly approaches the writing throne* Nothing of Significance, please? *slowly slips back into obscurity*
There is no throne here, my friend! We are all chilling at our local cafe, trading ideas and chatting. 😀
This fill does require a bit of explanation. The existing Nothing of Significance drabbles can be found here. There are 5, but I decided some time ago that I wasn’t happy with the direction I went in part 5. That part veered away from the “Tony teaches Stephen hedonism” that I had set up in part 4 and into Tony angst, and then I felt like I had nowhere interesting to go from there.
So I decided (weeks ago, actually) that eventually I was going to write a new version of part 5 and redirect back onto the hedonism train, which feels like much more fun and has a useful direction. The only reason I haven’t already done it is because I always had other prompts in my inbox and I hadn’t had a day where my brain refused to do anything other than this. lol. So thank you for dropping me this prompt so I can finally sort it out!
-
“You’ve booked what?” Stephen demands, aghast. Now he understands why Tony insisted they let his driver take them to their destination instead of just portaling: he can’t cast a portal inside a moving car, which means he can’t escape.
“A spa day,” Tony repeats, unrepentant. “Massage, facials, wax treatment for hands and feet, sauna, the whole shebang.”
How had Tony made a misjudgment this bad? “What on Earth makes you think that I would enjoy anything about being touched by a bunch of strangers?”
Tony sobers. “These people are professionals, Stephen, and they’re very good at what they do. Please believe me when I say that being handled by them is not going to be…” He searches for a word that Stephen fills in automatically: triggering. But what Tony comes up with is: “...emotional.”
“You’ve used them before?” Stephen asks carefully.
“Yes, several times,” Tony says. “And I booked us for a couples package, so you won’t ever be alone with them.”
Stephen feels like he’s missed a mental stair in this conversation somehow. “A couple’s package?”
“Well, they don’t offer ‘hedonism mentor-mentee’ packages,” Tony says dryly. “If you want to stick together, it’s a couple’s package.”
“Right.” Stephen pinches the bridge of his nose with one hand, eyes closing. That makes perfect sense, of course. “Assuming I want to do this at all.”
“Look, I’m the expert here, right? Just give it a try. The massage is first. If it’s not working for you, we’ll leave.”
Sighing, Stephen lowers his hands and looks back at Tony. The man looks ridiculously earnest. Stephen’s not sure he’s ever seen Tony look this earnest. He can feel his resolve wavering. “You really think this will help?”
Tony shrugs. “It helped me. Not the literal metaphysical damage, but feeling worn out down to your soul? Yeah.”
Souls didn’t require magical intervention to take damage. Or to heal. Tony’s experience might be a more literal equivalent than he realizes. Stephen groans when he realizes what that means. “Fine. I will try it.”

I'm bored, let's talk Thominally Honorary Beach Episode
"honorary" beach episode because it's actually a spa episode
and by that, it just means Gally and Minho both noticing the dark bags under Thomas' eyes
and teaming up to force him into a bathtub filled with things that reduce stress
Twenty pounds of lavender petals is in that tub
"Are these my lavenders?"
"No," Minho says, way too quickly.
Gally lights a tangerine-scented candle while Minho tosses in more flowers
Gally says the flower petals are "capable of soothing both the skin and the mind, which makes them perfect for spas"
Minho says the flower petals are "freshly harvested from the local gardens"
Thomas says the flower petals are "THESE ARE MY SHUCKING ROSES"
Gally knows so much about spas because Brenda's started one
She figured something as relaxing as a spa would be helpful when dealing with about two hundred traumatized teenagers
Gally helped Brenda build the spa, and then somehow got roped into being an employee there
Gally calls it "non-consensual labor"
Brenda calls it "get back to work"
So it's not a big surprise when Gally pulls out several jars of sugar scrubs, facial masks, bath salts, tiny bottles of essential oils...
Minho's job is mostly to keep Thomas inside the tub
Which is not a hard job, since Thomas is so overworked and exhausted
But a steady supply of kisses from Minho keeps Thomas from splashing Gally and Minho with water.
Thomas tries acting up for more kisses.
Gally throws a whole chamomile flower bud at his face instead
(Thomas drenches him in water in retaliation)
Thomas even shuts up long enough for Gally to paint a mud mask on his face
Minho peels and feeds him bites of tangerine while Gally interrogates Thomas on what kind of scents he likes so he can put a bath bomb in the water
In the end, Gally carries Thomas, bridal-style, into bed
Minho tries to throw the flower petals away and gets berated by a sleepy Thomas for it
"I want- *yawn* ...every petal in the- *yawn* ...the- *yawn* ...the compost bin!"
"You sound like a Track-hoe," Minho snaps at him.
It's meant as an insult, but Thomas gets a pleased look on his face.
Minho throws a handful of wet petals at him
The final step in Minho and Gally's plan is to let Thomas sleep
except it gets delayed for about ten minutes because, just as Gally is tucking Thomas in bed, Minho runs up and dumps sopping wet lavender down Gally's back
and Thomas watches, wide-awake, as Gally chases Minho about the tent and ultimately tackles him to the ground
Thomas throws Gally a pillow, and Gally whacks Minho with it
Gally and Minho are supposed to leave Thomas to sleep peacefully, but Thomas yanks Gally onto the bed when Gally tries to hand the pillow back
They fall asleep in a flower-scented tangle

Rather Die Chapter 21
Masterlist
——————————————
Christmas Morning
Victoria woke up to the smell of breakfast being made in the kitchen. Austin & Evelyn are currently frying up ham & making eggs. Evelyn seems to really be getting along with Austin, which makes Vic happy since that is the grandmother to Violet.
"Good morning, Vic." Austin smiles. "Merry Christmas."
"Good morning, Merry Christmas." she smiles back.
Austin walks up to her & talks quietly, "I was thinking we could tell everyone the baby's name during breakfast."
"Yeah, definitely." Victoria agrees happily.
"Merry Christmas, sweetheart!" Evelyn says coming behind Vic to give her a hug.
"Merry Christmas, mom!" she smiles. "Breakfast looks amazing. I had no idea you planning to do all this."
"Austin asked me last night if I'd help him. He wanted to surprise you."
"Oh?" she raises an eyebrow at Austin. "Did you now?"
"I did." Austin smiles & blushes a bit.
"That's really sweet of you, Aus."
"You deserve it, Vic. You did so much yesterday. You deserve to just rest and chill out today."
"Thank you. I appreciate it." Vic smiles again.
Once breakfast was ready, everyone sat down at the table to eat.
Austin speaks up, "So um, I have some news. Julie & I have made it official! We are now boyfriend & girlfriend. I asked her this morning with the necklace I got for her with my birthstone."
Every one was congratulating them & seemed genuinely happy except for Victoria.
She put on a fake smile as her heart sank when she heard the news, even though she saw it coming any day now.
"Vic & I also have some news..." Austin says, getting Victoria's attention, dragging her away from her thoughts. "Vic, wanna share the news?"
"So, we have decided on a name for baby girl. Her name is Violet Lorraine."
Austin's sister Ashley immediately started tearing up at hearing her middle name.
"Austin, is Lorraine after mom?" Ashley asks.
"Yeah, it is." Austin smiles.
"That's so beautiful, Austin. I love it." she says. "Mom would love it."
"Thank you." Austin starts to get teary eyed himself.
David speaks up, "Your mom would be so proud & so honored, son."
"Thanks dad." Austin replies.
After breakfast, everyone gathered in the living room to open presents as Home Alone played in the background.
Lots of gifts being exchanged, a lot from Austin as he loves to give & tends to over buy.
Vic opens her first gift from him which is a gift certificate to a local spa.
"Oooo this is so nice, Aus. Thank you."
"You're welcome." he replies. "This place has special messages for pregnant women, and you're always complaining about being sore so it should help. There should be enough on there for a facial & to get your nails done too."
"That sounds so amazing. I will be booking an appointment ASAP."
Mila opened up a gift from Austin next which was a gift certificate to the same spa.
"Ooo Vic! Girls day!" Mila says showing Vic the gift certificate.
"Ooo yes, definitely!" Victoria replies.
As they continue opening gifts, Austin & Ashley both open a gift from Victoria. She had gotten a drawing commissioned of them & with their mom. The siblings both started tearing up.
"Wow...this is um...beautiful." Austin says speechless. "Where did you even get this picture?"
"Your dad may have helped me with that." Vic looks over to David who is looking at her.
"This is so sweet. Thank you so much, Victoria." Ashley says getting up from her seat to give Vic a hug.
"You're very welcome." Vic replies, hugging back.
"Thanks, Vic. This means a lot." Austin says.
"You're so welcome, Aus. I'm glad you love it."
They continued opening presents until everything was unwrapped.
They also went through their stockings which was full of their favorite candies, travel size items, lottery scratch offs, little random things that they'd like, for example, Austin got guitar picks since he plays guitar. There was also beauty items for the women.
After a while, Austin's family said their goodbyes & headed home. Austin said his 'see you later's' before leaving to go to Juliette's parents house.
About a couple hours after Austin had left, he had texted Mila saying he forgot one of Vic's gifts in his closet and asked for her to give it to Vic just incase he didn't see her when he got home.
Mila grabbed a little velvet box out of one Austin's drawers in his closet & went back out to the living room where everyone was now watching The Santa Claus.
"Vic, Austin asked for me to grab this from his room for you. He wanted to make sure you had it today just incase you're in bed by the time he gets home." Mila says as she hands her the box.
Vic takes it from her, confused as to what it could be.
"Oh my gosh...he remembered..." Vic says shocked as she sees what's in the box.
"What is it, sweetie?" Evelyn asks.
"It was months ago. Austin & I had some time to kill before our doctors appointment. We had walked down to Starbucks to get something to drink, and on our way back we walked passed this antique store that had this Tiffany's pearl necklace and earring set in window on display & it was the exact set that-
"Your dad had gotten you for your fifteenth birthday before he passed, and you had lost it in the move..." Evelyn says cutting her off.
"Yes." Victoria says on the verge of tears. "We were running out of time to stop in there, and then completely forgot to go in afterwards because we were too distracted from seeing Violet on the ultrasound. Whenever we would be over there after that, the store was closed. But I guess he managed to go on his own to get it for me. I can't believe he remembered it, and how much I wanted it." she wipes away tears that are streaming down her cheeks.
Victoria feels herself adding on more love for Austin to the love she already has that she continues to try and suppress.
"That is the sweetest thing." Evelyn says. "He really loves you, huh?"
"What?" Vic asks getting caught off guard. "Noo. It's not like that, mom. He just loves me in a friend & the mother of his child kinda way."
"But this was months ago, right? He probably got it before he met Julie." Mila says.
"Juliette." Victoria corrects her.
"Whatever. He definitely did love you to do that."
"Emphasis on the 'did'. He's with Juliette now. It's not like that now."
"Honestly, you didn't hear this from me but, I think it's always like that with him now. I don't think this man will ever stop loving you in that romantic way." Mila says.
"You think?"
"Mhm. I just feel it."
"I hope you're wrong, Mila. I don't think it'll ever happen for us."
"Don't be so sure." Mila raises an eyebrow with a smirk. "I'm rarely wrong about these things. Also got the thought, what if Eliana stole your necklace from you? The one you lost?"
"You know what, she totally could have. I did catch her rummaging through my jewelry box once. She claimed she was looking for something I borrowed from her, which I never did. A pair of earrings were missing after that and she played it off like she hadn't seen them. That bitch." Vic says.
"Yeah, she probably did then." Mila replies.
Evelyn says, "It's sad how horrible of a person she turned out to be. But honestly not surprised. Her parents were always so snooty to us whenever they visited New Zealand."
"Her mom especially." Victoria adds.
Some time has passed. Everyone has gone to bed for the night except for Victoria. She waited up for Austin.
He finally walked through the door a little after 11pm.
"Hey, Vic. You're still up?" Austin asks, seeing her from the kitchen as he puts food away in the fridge he was sent home with from Juliette's mom.
"Yeah. I was waiting for you actually." she replies as she stuffs Sour Patch Watermelons into her mouth. AKA, her current pregnancy craving.
"Oh, you were?" he walks into the living room and sits down next to her on the couch.
"Yeah. I wanted to thank you in person for the necklace set, so thank you, Austin. You really didn't have to do that. It must have cost you a fortune."
"Oh, you're welcome. It's nothing."
"It's not nothing, Aus. It's everything. It's absolutely perfect & something I don't deserve."
"What do you mean you don't deserve it? You absolutely do." he grabs her hand in reassurance.
"I don't deserve it. Not after the way I treated you."
"I don't care about that anymore. You absolutely deserve it. After the shit I put you through, the shit Eliana put you through. The way you wanted this so bad because it was something your dad had gotten you that you lost. You need this."
"You're one of the sweetest people I have ever met, you know that?" Vic says starting to sob. "I'm sorry I ever treated you like you weren't."
"It's okay. I'm sorry for the way I treated you. That was something you didn't deserve."
"It's fine. You still piss me off and annoy me sometimes though." she chuckles.
"I can say the same about you, Vic." Austin laughs.
"How was meeting her parents?" she asked.
"It was good. They were really nice. Her dad was kinda scary & weary of me at first but he warmed up to me."
"That's good."
"Yeah. They got me a gift card to Barnes & Noble." he chuckles. "They figured I'd like it since I obviously shop there."
"Right, because you met Juliette there."
"Yeah." he laughs, stealing a piece of candy from her.
"Hey! Those are mine!" she snatches the bag out of her lap. "See, you're being annoying."
"What? You can't give up just one? It's Christmas!"
"No, I need these things to survive right now."
"You're so dramatic."
"I am an actress." she jokes.
"Oh speaking of, I don't remember if I told you. My publicist is already working with yours on getting us interviews for the movie. The trailer drops next week and then the movie is dropping in April."
"April?" she raises an eyebrow. "When in April?"
"Late April I think, but the premier is early April."
"And I'm due the 16th. Great. I hope we'll be able to make it to the premier."
"I'm sure it'll be fine. If we miss it, then oh well."
"I'd rather not, you know? It's my first movie."
"I know, I know. But whatever happens, it'll all work out."
"I know." she sighs.
"We should get to bed. It's been a long day."
"We should. Help me get up?"
"Of course."
Austin gets up and grabs onto her hands and pulls her up.
"Thank you. I'm only 5 months and it's already hard for me to get up sometimes."
"Well, the depth of the couch doesn't help."
"It really doesn't. And hey, thanks again." she smiles.
"You're very welcome." he pulls her into a big hug.
When he breaks away, he drops down to her belly and gives it a kiss. "Goodnight, Violet."
He stands back up, "Goodnight, Vic." he says, looking into her eyes with a quick glance at her lips.
"Goodnight, Aus." she notices the glance at his lips and holds herself back from kissing him.
They turn everything off and head to their bedrooms.
They shut their doors behind them & lean their backs against them, sighing.
Austin thinks, "No. You're in love with Julie, not Vic."
Victoria thinks, "Girl no. We're not doing this again. You are in love with Ash, not Aus."
They take a deep breath, tell themselves everything is fine, and head off to bed.

my local spa/salon that i no longer frequent (due to the owner believing she is a reincarnation of a biblical figure and telling me too much about her sex life) is now offering a $15 “brain balancing service” addon to any massage or facial and idk what that means but i am afraid

Girls Day's Out/In <3
We’ve done Girls’ Night, but what about Girls’ DAYs? Girly Days Out (or In) are as much of an important ritual as the nocturnal equivalent. This, by the way, is very inspired by Totally Spies activities, as well as the girly montage of any good teen movie.
Shopping: Self-explanatory- make a day of it with your besties, even if you don’t have any money, by exploring different shops and sections, planning your to-be-read list, swatching makeup on the back of your hand (make sure you locate the wipes BEFORE you start swatching!)
Having a Spa Day at Home: this is PEAK Totally Spies to me, except those girls were out to the spa on the reg. But you don’t have to break bank! My local pharmacy/drug store sells 90p face masks AND has them at 3 for 2. Do each others’ nails, makeup, hair, and feel fabulous about it. Try homemade facial scrubs such as honey and sugar, or one of those hair masks that people make with yoghurt. Oh, and don’t forget your fave scented candles!
Picnic: OOOH IT’S SUNDRESS TIME, LADIES!! Get the espadrilles, get the obnoxious sunhats, and bring the bubbly. It’s brunch hours but on grass! Remember to co-ordinate your efforts so someone brings sandwiches and someone else brings the tiny cupcakes… but I also won’t stop you from consuming 63 tiny cupcakes and champagne and nothing else, that’s your business.
Go See the Barbie Movie: THE Activity for this summer- I already have THREE trips planned, two with different friend groups and one with my notebook because you KNOW I’ll be contributing to the analysis that I guarantee will swarm to all corners of the internet. My bestie and I are wearing pink outfits and we plan on making a day out of it!
Friend Dates: What’s your ideal date? And I don’t mean when you only need a light a jacket. Is it dinner and a movie? Take your friend! Is it hiking? Take a friend! Are you a roller disco kind of person? Take a friend! I feel like we have a tendency to reserve all our best romantic ideas for partners. Sure, your partner should be your best friend, but you should still be doing these things with your besties. You don’t need a partner for these things. *You can also go alone, trash the stigma.

it’s okay to take yourself out, it’s okay to go to the cinema/movies alone. it’s okay to go outside and read a book by yourself. it’s all okay.
why should you be comfortable with doing activities alone?
-it allows you to enjoy activities you love at your own pace and in your own way
-you are able to learn more about yourself and reflect on your experience(s)
-a more regulated mood, reduced stress, and increased creativity and productivity

rediscover your interests: solo activities are a good way to identify what you like. with this information, you will be able to gain skills and maybe even talents.
opportunity of solo dates encourages independence.
solo dates are good to practice self love: if someone else doesn’t do it for you, you should do it yourself,
choose a meaningful activity: consider activities that aligns with what you need right now. is it self-care you need? is it fun? is it time away from other people?
disconnect from distractions: switch off your phone or put it on silent mode. this allows you to be fully present and avoid any unnecessary distractions as you date yourself.
